Excellent from start to finish! Excellent with an insurance type glitch I had which was very quickly resolved; top notch exam and x-rays (Christina) as they were extremely thorough and explained many details and had state-of-the-art equipment which made the appointment easy, pleasant and expeditious. Dr. Green was excellent and explained honestly and discussed plans going forward. Lastly, I feel very confident going forward with this new dentist practice as this is my first time. I feel they are very knowledgeable from start to finish with whole staff from entry check-in desk to exit (Rachael, Emily) Thank you for a small, comfortable, pleasant office feel!
I requested an appointment here after an awful experience at another dentist. Not only did they call me back about my request within the hour, they even managed to get me in the same day.For being a middle of the afternoon appointment, I got in fairly quickly and everyone was very welcoming. The woman taking care of me, Hillary, was incredibly kind. She understood my anxieties and made me feel very comfortable throughout my exam and xrays. I need pretty serious work done, and she was walked me through what she knew and was very honest and informative.Quite frankly, my teeth are in shambles. Ive made years of mistakes that Im now trying to put right. At other dentists Ive been to, Ive be condescended to about the extent of the damage, but I never felt any of that here. Hillary and Dr. Puhl were very kind and matter of fact with me, and I felt no judgement. I felt like they genuinely only care about helping me restore the health of my mouth. This was my first visit here, and I am very happy about the choice I made. I feel very comfortable putting my future treatments in the hands of this practice, and I would recommend it to anyone.
My first visit with Frankel & Puhl dentistry was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time and I’ve been going to A dentist four several years just recently decided to leave When I met Andrea at Frankel & Puhl I knew I made the right decision when she was done my teeth felt like they were clean and I asked if I could have her as a study hygienist and she told me of course so that was number one and number two was when I met Dr Puhl and she valuated all my x-rays and my teeth and we set up an appointment and she worked on my upper teeth by the gums that were fracturing because of my age 66 and my grinding problem when The doctor and her assistant got done finishing my upper front teeth by the gums I was completely blown away and it looked absolutely beautiful I was just so happy and then I knew I made the right decision leave the dentist that I had for many years I am just so happy and if you’re looking for somebody that’s good trust me try them very very professional super nice doctor and the people that work there go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and have a great smile I will be going back shortly for a little more work but it will be a pleasure knowing that I have people that care about the way I look and feel about my teeth thank you Richard Laughlin
I have been going to this location for almost 2 years now and have had nothing but amazing experiences. As someone who gets very very nervous for the dentist I was apprehensive about visiting a new doctor but everyone has been so friendly and genuinely wanted to help me with some issues I had going on. I can honestly say I feel safe and in good hands there. Dr. Green especially is extremely communicative and upfront about every procedure and talks me through it the whole way so I know what is going on. Brooke is one of the dental assistants who was very pleasant and made the whole experience a breeze, answering any of my questions and just overall amazing. Tyler is at the front desk and he has always been fantastic about scheduling and billing as well. If you are looking for a new dentist I highly recommend this office.
Christina was great! She cleaned my teeth with a new tool and walked me though every step of the way taking away all the nervousness that comes with going to the dentist. My teeth are much brighter now! Dr. Puhl checked everything out and gave some tips for decreasing the sensitivity I was having. Very professional and great experience overall!
I was drawn to this business because of the positive reviews. When you’re paying the money they love you. When you’re not, they could care less. I have had nothing but trouble since I started going there. There has been multiple insurance issues. I had a root canal that failed. The crown they placed isn’t even remotely symmetrical to the opposite tooth. I had to get an apicoectomy through another dentist to correct it. Here I am months later trying to get my money back for this failed procedure. It’s not worth it. Find a different dental practice. I did.
I went to Frankel and Puhl for a cleaning today. My appointment was on time and they started right away. The dental professionals were personable, knowledgeable, and gentle. It was nice that there was a TV above me, so I could watch and take my mind off what they were doing. They explain what needs to be done and why, and they explain all costs associated with the work. The only negative was that it was difficult to hear, because of the masks and the noise from the other cubicles.
Angela is my hygienist!! I absolutely love her. She makes going to the dentist a pleasure and makes me feel like we are family. Thank you Angela! Look forward to our chats every 6 months. The rest of the crew there is so friendly also. I recommend Frankel and Puhl to all my friends
I had my teeth cleaned and the hygienist Zoey was fantastic! I have very sensitive gums and can’t stand the sound or feeling of getting the plaque scraped off my teeth with metal tools. Zoey was so gentle, I didn’t hear or feel a thing, and she was really soft handed with the flossing too! Overall a great and painless experience
They did an awesome job getting me in after I had a filling fall out and were able to get a temporary repair done so Im not in pain until I can get my crown put on. I have a bit of a fear of Dentists and they were so kind and patient with me! Such a wonderful bedside maner everyone had! Thank you all, so much!!
I loved my dental hygienist today she was great she really understood what I was going through today. Though when my Dentist came in today not so understanding. I’ve had a couple fillings at Dr Frankel and Dr Puhls office but when I was told I would need to be put under for my filling made me feel very uncomfortable and I felt he was pushing me to be put under for fillings yes I have a jaw issues but I’ve never had a problem getting fillings before when I told him I didn’t feel comfortable being put under for fillings he seemed upset like it was the only option and that he didn’t want to deal with me anymore I love coming here and I just would not want to see who I had before to do any work on me very upsetting.
I started Dential appointments here about 4yrs ago. I found my forever Dentist office! Every staff member always has a smile on their face. I get professional care in a compassionate friendly environment. I have now moved 2 hours north but love my dentist and hygienist enough to make the drive for appointments.
I cannot recommend this dental office enough. The people are extremely friendly and professional. They make sure that you are comfortable and that you understand everything that is happening. They truly put the patient first. This is the best dental experience youll ever have.
Had a meeting with Dr.Puhl this morning to come up with a plan to do some needed dental work and discuss the possibility of getting a mouth piece to deal with my sleep apnea condition. She was very nice, helpful, positive, and gave me the time I needed to answer questions so that I could make the correct decisions moving forward. Everyone I came in contact with were very professional, polite and helpful. Im very happy that we made the switch to join the Frankel/Puhl organization.
I have to say, this place is unbelievable. They have gone above and beyond for me. Dr. Frankel is such a nice and confident dentist. I felt I was in great hands. I was so please to see how warm and wonderful he was. He had two assistants that were so sweet and nice and accommodating. I cant say enough. They check up on you and want you to come in if there is any problem at all. Its been a great experience and I really love this place. Thank you Frankel and Puhl for putting such a positive spin on a not so fun procedure. I just scheduled 2 implants and I will not have anxiety now. Well, maybe a little haha.
I have had two visits at the Maumee office and both have been great experiences, and I hate the dentist SO much that I had stayed away for nearly a decade. Melanie was my hygienist both times; like many I dont floss as much as I should, but she was very mindful of my gum sensitivities and did a great job. She also provided me with a lot of education regarding gum care, which is something no other hygienist has ever taken the time to do aside from scolding me for not flossing enough. All of the staff are pleasant and helpful, and take precautions to ensure the safety of clients and staff in regards to COVID. Thank you for excellent care!
WOW my expectations were exceeded. I had gone to the same dentist for 15+ years and only changed due to insurance issues. Thus very reluctant to make a change. It was an absolutely great experience and Frankel & Puhl in my view handles some aspects better!! I would be remiss if I did not also say Christina my hygienist was FABUOLUS. Sparkly clean teeth and loads of fun/laughter....could not ask for more
Even with new protocols in place the experience was pleasant and streamlined. Corina met me at my car, ran through the new process and kept the appointment moving. Angela was efficient and friendly. My teeth were cleaned in record time. Dr. Kaiser did a quick and thorough post cleaning check. I was a little apprehensive about how long the appointment would take. 5 stars all around. Great job as always F & P.
First visit today with this practice. I was very impressed. Had to change dentists due to insurance issues and was sorry to have to leave the practice that I had been visiting for over ten years. After today, no more concerns. My hygienist, Michelle, was wonderful Dr. Willis was as well. I definitely recommend Frankel & Puhl!
Wonderful customer service and patient/staff safety (before and during COVID). Appointments are quick, staff is very knowlegeable, and the facility is very clean and welcoming (TVs in each exam room for patient to watch during care). Dr. Puhl is delightful, as is her colleagues. I highly recommend their services.
After not being to the Dentist for longer than I’d like to admit, I was able to get into the office for a routine cleaning and exam. Melanie the hygienist did my exam and cleaning. She was top notch and did a great job. I came back in to have a cavity repaired and saw Dr.Gofman, and she was outstanding. All of the staff are very friendly. The office has a great atmosphere, and is very welcoming.
My mother in law has been seeing the dentist in this location for the past few years and few days ago they said they could no longer see her due to the insurance? The thing is she has been paying out of her own pocket WITHOUT using any insurance.I checked with another dental office and they said she could always pay out of her own pocket without using any insurance. I am unsure why there is different response across different dental offices. If the new dental office is good, my whole family will be transferring to the new place (my wife and my insurance have been working in Frankel office but the response regarding my mother in laws case is too suspicious, I feel that someone is not being honest and I am uncomfortable about this because another dental office said my mother in law can always pay out of her own pocket without using insurance).
Good and fast and easy. Hadnt been to the dentist in two years (insurance coverage), so knew that when I went in there would likely be some cavities (I was right about that part). But, they were able to schedule my cleaning on very short notice and my cavities will be filled in under a month, even with the Christmas/New Year holidays in the mix, so I think that is great!
This is one of the best dentist I ever been too. The lobby is clean, nice setup. Check in is easy, and the wait is about 3mins-5mins (depend what time you arrive). After you go in, the exam/check up is about 10-15 mins. I had cleaning done which was good experience. Today, I got exactions for 2nd time. It was good experience. When I got cold and shaking, the ladies gave me couple blankets to stay warm til it was done. Overall experience was good. This dentist is also deaf/hard of hearing friendly. Im hard of hearing, the office communicated with me thru email for appointments or questions. Dr Green always made sure he move his mask and talk directly to me. Same with rest of the staff. I didnt feel like i was left out thru the process, didnt feel rush when i ask questions or didnt hear/understand what was said. I dont get that often anywhere. I dont really write reviews, so this is one of the best dentist I been to.I appreciate everything that you guys do. Thank you.
This was my first visit with them and they were amazing. They made me feel very comfortable and were very friendly. My 5-year old daughter was also seen here a couple weeks prior and they did great with her. They were patient with her and took their time to make sure she was comfortable. They explained everything they were doing so their were no surprises for her. I will definitely be sticking with this office!
I brought my six-year old in two weeks ago for an emergency visit after falling off her bike. The staff was so careful and cautious due to Covid and we really felt safe. We had a follow up visit today and received the same great treatment. Can’t say enough for how great of care Dr. Smith and every staff member provided. Special thanks to Tyler for his patience with me on the phone every single time I called.
Excellent staff! Everyone from the front office personnel to the dental staff are very professional and make you feel comfortable. They also do a very thorough job during your appointment and you arent rushed through to get the next patient in the chair. My teeth feel amazing!
Dr. Puhl and her staff , always go above and beyond , in every way possible. The entire staff is superb, and I cannot say enough good things about this office. It is so rare to find this kind of excellence, in every aspect . I am extremely grateful, to have found this dental office, and have recommended it, to many family and friends.
Meant to write this last week.. Pleased to see your office is now open forpatients waiting for appointments. This has been kind of a sore spot with me requiring waiting in the auto. Anyhow as usual once in the office was great. Friendly staff, limited wait time and excellent cleaning and check-upand oral hygiene by Melanie and Doctor Puhl.
I feel very comfortable about the staff and Dr. Puhl. They listened when I said that it takes more sedative or anesthetic to keep me asleep or not in pain. They listened and kept me well informed about treatment action plans and I am less nervous than I was to go to the dentist.
I never thought I would ever say I like going to the dentist, but theyve never given me a reason to dislike it. They are on-time and ready when I get there for my appointment. The hygienists are friendly, and confident in what they do. The dentists are honest and provide good advice, and do not try to upsell me on things that I dont need to stay healthy. I recommend them to everyone.
Excellent experience. In and Out before my scheduled time. I hadnt even sat in the chair and my name was called. Extremely professional and knowledgeable staff. They dont beat you down if you have less than perfect teeth. They will tell you what the problems are, how to fix them, and the rest is up to you to make changes. That being said, my appointment, for my less than perfect teeth, was amazing. If you can, get Hillary as your hygienist. Shes the best hygienist Ive ever had. Shes personable and makes you feel comfortable. Shes attentive to the patients comfort level. She watches patient cues very well. Paced herself to do the job right the first time. She was to the point when speaking about the state of your teeth. She made clear instructions about my current issues and laid out a simple plan to get my mouth in better shape. If shes as good as she was for my appointment for everyone she sees, then she deserves a medal and a raise.
I always used to be afraid to go to the dentist. I dont really know why, I had never had a bad experience that I can remember, but even just a cleaning would cause anxiety. Since Ive been going to Frankel & Puhl Dentistry, for over 5 years now, I havent had any fear or anxiety, no matter what procedure Im having done! They always make sure Im comfortable and ready to proceed, and have even stopped if Ive needed anything. The whole office, from reception to checkout, runs very efficiently, and I like how they develop a personalized plan of care for me, depending on my insurance benefits and whats most important for me to get done first. I will never change dentists again!
Very inconsiderate when something unexpected happens. My ex husband let our kids’ dental insurance lapse without telling anyone. Dr Puhl’s office checked and double checked the coverage before they did my son’s root canal. They assured me multiple times that everything was in place. After the procedure was over, they notified me there was a mistake and I would owe the entire amount. I was called and emailed by them several times over the next 3 days asking for payment. It was worse than a collection agency. It has been 3 months and I have paid $400 of the $2000 bill, but I still have not received a detailed bill from their to submit to my FSA for medical reimbursement. Very frustrating and they are only nice when you are fully covered...lesson learned. Definitely NOT Toledo’s Best.
Dr. Frankel makes going to the dentist enjoyable! The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Dr. Frankel is an amazing dentist and so kind. My hygienist, Brooke, remembered me from 6 months ago and asked me all sorts of questions about my life that I told her last time. I always leave this place smiling brighter 💖✨😁
Having moved to the area about a year ago, I have been trying different dentists. I have finally found a good one. Frankel and Puhh is that one. Their online forms were very easy to fill out and a time saver. Very friendly staff, Angela, my hygienist was great, very thorough and answered all my questions. Dr Puhl was great, she found something that previous dentists missed. Highly recommend if your looking for a dentist you give them a call.
I had my first experience with Frankel & Puhl denistry this week. I have generalized anxiety disorder and have always had bad experiences at the dentist. So much so I only go when I have a problem. This appointment, I had Molly and Dr. Green. Both were good. Molly went at my pace, talked me through everything so I didnt have to anticipate what was coming next. I actually did not have a panic attack while there. When I usually go to a dentist I have at least one during and after. I will go back and I will recommend this office to others. The staff I had interactions with were kind and professional. Usually when I go in and say I have anxiety people think it is the same thing as depression and think they have to cheer me up. Molly got it and did not treat me like that. The office is clean as well.
Went to Frankel and Puhl for my 6 month teeth cleaning on Saturday April 13 and they said i would have to come back for a crown. Since i had just gotten a new dental insurance they would have to have the staff call me on Monday with my price. Fast forward to Monday April 30 and i havent heard a word from them so i give them a call. The lady said that they just filed it away without calling. The dentists and other staff that work on your teeth are fantastic but the support staff is horrendous. This is the third or fourth time they were supposed to give me a call regarding pricing but failed to do so. Looking for a dentist? My advise is look else where as the office support staff definitely does not make it easy to deal with Frankel and Puhl Dentistry.
Melanie was very nice and helpful. She told me there would be no pressure and that I could get the dental work done on my own schedule. However the Brittany was definitely high pressure when it actually came time to schedule my root canal. It’s to bad the ending ruined the experience. I think I will continue to look elsewhere for a dentist.
Clean, friendly office but Im not sure if I will be returning. I had a lot of cavities filled and after reading reviews, I am wondering if I should have gotten a second opinion. My last cavities were filled this week and I have to say, Ive never been in so much pain after the numbing meds wore off. Ive had cavities filled before and Ive never experienced that kind of pain. Its a day later and I am still having trouble opening my mouth to eat because my jaw is so sore. After talking to a colleague, she had a similar experience and found a new dentist who was more gentle. Im debating giving her new dentist a shot.
I highly recommend this excellent, state of the art dentist office. The staff, including receptionists are very professional and reliable! This is an office in which takes patient comfort and safety very seriously! The facility is clean and the parking lot is always clear of trash and debris. Look no further if you desire quality dental care done right by Toledos most reputable Dentists!
Dr. Frankel & Staff, I don’t know where to begin. As you can see, according to my dental records, I have had fair my share of many dental visits. I sadly have been blessed with the curse of having bad teeth from my family. My mother’s began rotting from the inside out about 9 years ago, today, she has dentures, she is only 64; my grandmother and grandfather as well. Because of my dental habits, health and genetics, this is why I have experienced the works of many dentists and their staff. To include my Air Force career, where, when you go to the dentist at the third largest medical facility, also a training center, all of my cavities required a root canal. First, I must say, to the Miss that completed my local anesthetic, in all my experience I have never had less pain during the injection, ever. Due to my high tolerance to Novocain, I must have more than the average person and I always ask for my palette to be numbed as well, even though that alone is painful. To you Miss, bravo! You completed this small procedure, with me experiencing the most minimal pain I have ever had, it was amazing. Whatever you did, continue doing and I would like to challenge you to share your knowledge with others, I am sure it took time to perfect, but it was worth it and shown. Dr. Frankel, as you are aware, my wife Tiffany (Borgelt) has been your patient for almost her entire life. While I was active duty Air Force, she had to see another dentist while we were living in North Carolina, sadly, she had a terrible experience. She has never had this with you. She would always speak highly of you and give you much praise. I always dreamt for the day that I would be allowed to become your patient. My wait was worth it. Never, in my experience, with getting crowns, has the crown fit correctly on the first try, with requiring minimal adjustments. Even when the Novocain wore off, the discomfort was extremely minimal, for the first time ever. Your artistic talents and experience was shown. You Sir are the real deal. I know you had many other patients while I was there, you did show that you seemed to be under a bit of pressure. This is only a natural human reaction, but you displayed control and remained respectful. Thank you for this, thank you for taking the extra time to answer my questions. I look forward to getting my remaining treatment plan finished and I will always recommend you whenever I can. I truly hope that you understand my gratitude and respect for you and your staff. Very respectfully, Stephen Roshong
I have been going there for 8 years and I have recently decided to find another dentist office. The office is ran very professionally, however they have WAY too many patients. They are TOO efficient, which makes it incredibly hard to reschedule a simple cleaning. I recently had an appointment scheduled that I had to re-schedule because I was asked to go to an extra work training. The receptionist told me that the next available appointment was not until October. I told him that I was flexible with what time I could come in and he said again that they do not have any open appointments until October. I had a similar issue last year. I scheduled my March appointment at my September cleaning and I called the office in January to reschedule the appointment. They told me that the earliest available appointment was 2 months after my original appointment. My wife (who is also a patient there) and I joke that you better be on your death bed in order to change an appointment with Frankel and Puhl because of how hard it is to reschedule. I would suggest that the management block out 4 or 5 appointment slots a week for people that have things come up and need to reschedule. It is really hard to forecast additional work meetings, kids activities, etc... when you schedule your 6 month check up. It appears as though business is booming, so Im sure that if a couple of the rescheduled appointment slots did not get filled, they would still be making a nice profit.Beyond the scheduling issue, the hygienists and dentists there have always done a good job of making going to the dentist a quick and comfortable experience. I just wish that it was not so hard to reschedule an appointment.
This was my first visit to Dr. Puhl and the dental hygienist was great, but she was interrupted by Dr. Puhl so that the doctor could perform her examination and then forgot to floss during my cleaning. I asked during a follow up visit if that was normal and it was discovered that she simply forgot due to the interruption by Dr. Puhl. My follow up visit for a filling replacement went smoothly and without flaw.
I was in excruciating pain all weekend with a toothache. I called Frankel & Puhl and they got me in first thing Monday morning. Dr. Green examined my tooth and was able to extract it that day. It was quick and painless. What relielf! Nicole was very polite and comforting as his assistant. I would strongly recommend Dr. Green and this practice. This was not my first visit there and will certainly not be my last.
I just wanted to write to tell you my little girl, Camille couldnt stop saying how much she loved our new dentist! We came in for a cleaning today and believe we had Dana at the Maumee office. She was awesome and to have a 9 year old excited about the dentist is awesome! She is hoping we have the same nice lady next time.Sincerely, Kristin
I am a new patient and thoroughly impressed. I transferred from my dentist who just retired. I was seeing him for the last 40 years and a little apprehensive on the switch. Rest assured Dr. Frankel & Puhl and staff were excellent! Looking forward to the next 40 years.
I have serious anxiety with the dentist and havent been in an embarrassingly long time. Once I moved to the Toledo region, I knew I needed to get back on track, despite any fears. The team at Maumee helped ease any worries and the cleaning was so easy. Im actually excited to come back for another cleaning!
I have been a Frankel patient for many years. I recently changed from the Toledo office to the Maumee office due to insurance coverage and proximity. Of course, Jon Frankel will be my go to for major work due to my history with him and also for my confidence in his professional work . I am happy to report that Melanie who did my cleaning here in Maumee was awesome. She was able to remove my wine/coffee or should I say, coffee/wine :-) stains. Yay! Thanks, Melanie. I booked another cleaning appointment for November.
I’ve encountered rude or condescending attitude from some of the staff and Dr. Puhl.Dr. Frankel is not very patient or empathetic to patient’s needs. Dental hygienist lied and said I had a cavity in a tooth (that already had a large filling), so I would need a crown. I asked her to show me where on my X-ray and she couldn’t really pinpoint it. She just kept saying I had a cavity and needed a crown because of the large filling already there. I did not get the crown and went out of town shortly after. Upon return, for my checkup and cleaning, I had a different hygienist and dentist and they both said that I was cavity free. I have also been to a new dental practice and they said I do not have any cavities. I’ve had the same issues at the Talmadge location. The two attached reviews are very accurate of Dr. Frankel’s practice.
Like most people, I am not a big fan of going to the dentist but I can say that Dr. Frankels office is great. The staff goes over the top to ensure everything is good on your visit. I highly recommend that you give them an opportunity to take care of your dentistry needs.
Cracked tooth brought me to the Maumee office of F&P D on Keystone.I was happy they got me in on the day they called but there was no time to fix the tooth. I could of guessed that. After Xrays & consultation another app. was made and without dental insurance we were informed of the costs. Later a cell phone message tells me after further review mult surfaces are involved with my tooth filling and the cost would be several hundreds more. This office is ridiculous it feels like a con job. A great deal of time after the consultation with the dentist, who cant read xrays, was spent informing us of the costs & options. They even wrote the cost of the filling on my bill of $130 for the xray & consult, $228.95. Only now a phone call changes everything & Im suppose to trust them. Its Friday night now, you cant call the office on the weekend they are closed till my Monday app. Screw this office ... find a another dental office, this one is over-top-expensive & offers only consults which they then change after you leave the office. Its a complete fraud. Stay away from Frankel & Puhl & any dentist associated with them!!
Don’t waste your time. Billing has been messed up on 3 separate occasions. Yes THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS. I Used my entire allotment to get a root canal. Doctor wasn’t sure if it was 2 or 3 canals. Decided on 2 after getting another opinion. I’m back in with EXTREME pain on root canal tooth!!!! Can’t eat or sleep. Referred to endontics and told to take ibuprofen over weekend for pain.Left in tears. Will not be going back.
My mom suggested Dr. Puhl to me because she liked her so much. Ive been coming Dr Puhls office for over a year now and I really like this office. Everyone is so nice. I feel so well taken care of when I come here. They go out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I dont avoid going to the dentist anymore. I strongly recommend trying this dentist.
Everyone is very friendly and kind and on our first visit it was like they knew us forever and made my wife and I very comfortable from the start.Dr.Puhl is a very good dentist and did her best to make my wife at ease in the dentist chair.I would recommend to everyone that needs a dentist to visit them.
Ive been taking my daughter to Frankel and Puhl dentistry for years. She has never had a bad experience. She is treated like family from the moment we walk in the door til we leave. Everyone is so friendly there. They have done a wonderful job of keeping her teeth clean. She had to have a couple teeth extracted there as well and they did such a superb job. I will safely say she will be going there for many years to come. Great job to everyone there. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job!
I was terrified to go to the dentist. I had a filling fall out several months ago and the tooth was progressively crumbling. The pain was honestly unbearable. Our kids have gone to Drs. Frankel and Puhl for about a year and we were very happy. The office made an appointment for me very quickly.Dr. Puhl was astounding. I didn’t feel any pain through a root canal. The entire team was warm and kind and understanding without being condescending. That meant a lot. I felt safe and reassured. The fees weren’t at all exorbitant and were totally explained.I can’t say enough good about Dr. Puhl or the office.
Always a neat and tidy office, with clean surroundings, and kind staff. Ive been going to Dr. Puhl for two years, and been in only a handful of times. Kelly, at the front desk knows my name and recognizes me outside the office when I saw her at the Glass City Marathon expo, thats rare and exciting! Ive never had a bad experience here.
Dee WardI have seen several dentists over my 58 years. Dr. Shannon Keiser and her support staff are by far the best. They are cheerful, personable, attentive, they LISTEN, AND CARE. Over two days I had all my damaged fillings replaced, got two new ones, got my teeth cleaned, and got one damaged crown replaced. The shots were the least painful I have EVER had (not exaggerating!). I highly recommend these folks. You will not be disappointed. I finally have a dentist I will look forward to visiting!
If you want to be treated with contemp and disrespect this the place for you. The receptionists are very unfriendly, and rude. Never scheduled me with whom I asked (Dr. Puhl). Cindy their receptionist was extremely condescending and unwelcoming but Dr. Green was nice as well as the hygienist. After I left I learned my experience wasnt unique. She was nice on the phone but I guess I was darker than what she expected. I wouldnt recommend this office to anyone.
I take my 2 young kids to Dr Puhl and she is amazing! The techs are wonderful with kids and everyone in the entire office is so friendly. We never have to wait and scheduling is easy too, they even send email reminders which is so helpful with our busy schedules. The office is bright, clean and comfortable and they are in a great convenient location. I highly recommend this practice for you or your little ones!
Just had the best experience with Dana at the office for my initial new patient registry and cleaning today. She has the best, sweet attitude and was always checking to make sure I was ok with what she was doing. She is the best! Also, Dr. Cooper is very personable and thorough in my examination. So glad I switched to this office and will send referrals :)
Was a decent dentist practice, but seemed to turn into a dentistry mill. I never seem to get the same dentist twice, the ones you get seem to be fresh out of school, and appointment times are anywhere from 6 weeks to two months out. My last visit the young dentist couldnt complete a root canal, so they sent me to a specialist for twice the price. The specialist couldnt understand why the regular dentist couldnt perform the procedure as it was pretty straight forward. After the root canal, it was another two weeks before I could get in to get a crown installed. My last visit I had a broken tooth with an exposed nerve. Its painful and hard to eat, but I can manage it. They scheduled my appointment for 8 weeks out, and the estimated price after insurance seemed outrageous. Ended up cancelling and going to Corner Dental instead, and they had the whole thing fixed in 4 days for $500 less.
Normally I would have nothing but wonderful things to say. I suddenly find myself thoroughly upset with them. I had to cancel an appointment the day of, which I know if not okay without 24 hour notice. In this case though it was due to my 7 month old son going through surgery, which I had less than 24 hour notice of. I called the day of to cancel my cleaning as I needed to be with my son. They are charging me $67 for a broken appointment. I get it, but at the same time I find it abhorrent.
My cleaning was done very professionally and the staff was also courteous. After hearing I had a total of 10 cavities that needed to be filled I sought a second opinion, including new x-rays resulting in a better diagnosis. In my opinion the issue seems to be how a cavity is defined by Drs. Frankle & Puhls office compared to other dentists. Currently I have 1 cavity and other areas that need to be watched versus drilled. I would recommend seeking a second opinion to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation.
Dishonest. I had multiple cavities that needed to be filled, but on the day of the fillings, I was told they would be slightly different than they anticipated. I didnt think much of it, but due to the change in the procedure, which Im not sure was entirely necessary, insurance only ended up covering 10% of the work I had done. I was manipulated and taken advantage of; save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere.

2022-05-03I am a travel nurse on assignment in northwest Ohio. I had a tooth to break off and they scheduled an appointment for me the day after I called. Wait time in the lobby was less than 10 minutes. The dental hygienist was very sweet, knowledgeable and friendly! The dentist came in and thoroughly explained what was going on with my neglected teeth. She also took the time to show me why I need to have the recommended procedures done! No issues with billing or insurance! Very much pleased with my first experience!

2022-02-24The staff was very friendly from the front desk to the chair. My daughter got her tooth pulled and the process was quick and painless. This is my second great experience with them and scheduled my other kids appointments here from now on! Even the staff that wasn’t focused on us gave us warm smiles, that’s always a welcoming feeling.

2022-03-16I have been going to Frankel & Puhl for over 10 years. Almost everyone in my family goes to this practice as well; with the exception of my youngest because he goes to the pediatric dentist as a direct result of the cost of dentistry on his older sister. Unfortunately, due to the fact that they are not pediatric dentists it took them too long to catch the 8 cavities she had in her molars. In their defense I was unaware of the damage of apple juice on teeth, and she was sneaking it after bedtime. I did not make a big stink about this miss as I held myself responsible for not catching her in the act of sneaking the juice. However, after todays visit for myself I cant continue to use this practice. Awhile back I learned that each dentist had a different rate they charged which I was okay with because my preferred dentist was one of the most affordable ones. Now, I wont lie I had a very bad opinion of dentists from my childhood experiences, so I had gone quite some time without visiting the dentist so sadly I have had to get more dental work done than my insurance pays for in a year. I have been attempting to get the things I need done to get properly on track with my dental care. One thing that has always bothered me is that with cavities they seem to put them at the bottom of the list. Today I went in to have what I thought was a root canal done on a tooth I was informed I had had a root canal done on possibly 20 years ago; only to find out I was mistaken. That wasnt the problem, however. What became the problem was to find out that I apparently didnt need a root canal rather I have two teeth that need crowns according to them. Neither of these teeth have had a root canal done but allegedly are damaged to the point that in order to prevent further damage they need the crowns. As many know crowns are expensive. In this case twice the price. Because of the price quote I was given after they ran my insurance I opted to pass. I just cant afford that much right now for something that in the long run might not save my tooth. So, I chose to leave and checked out because I knew I had 1 (one) missed appointment fee due to something that came up on my previous appointment day. When the lady at the counter gave me the price the cost was $142. When I asked her why it was so high for a missed appointment, she told me that I was charged for two missed appointments, mind you again I knew I missed my last appointment, I did not miss two appointments. It was also explained to me that because I was schedule for a 2-hour procedure the missed appointment was more expensive. Dont get me wrong I missed the appointment and had called them to tell them I would not be able to make it due to something that had come up. I am NOT okay with being charged twice the price due to the length of time the appointment was scheduled plus being charged two missed appointments for the same visit. You add that to the wasted time for my having to come in for a procedure that I may or may not have to have done. Going from a root canal to a crown, having the cost quote of what you think you are getting done doubled because they decided it wasnt one thing but a different thing and then having them try to price gouge over a missed appointment, Im sorry but times are already tough with everything else. Its time for a new dentist.

2022-07-07Dentists offices have been intimidating to me in my life. I go way back to where a dentist office was usually above a bank or other business and there was only the owning dentist working there. No free water or smiling faces to greet you, no 30 minute time set aside to get to know me as a person before meeting my mouth. THIS VISIT TO FRANKEL WAS AMAZING. My hygienist BECKY was the best, She explained everything that would happen and asked how I PREFERRED to have things explained. Becky and the dentist spent a lot of time with me and explained everything to my satisfaction. The checkout and checkin areas were clean and spacious...and very friendly. WELL DONE BECKY AND FRANKEL TEAM!Thank you again, Robert.

2022-06-10Several scheduling mishaps made things very inconvenient. When I told the woman with the poofy blonde hair that I had a cleaning scheduled as well as an exam she told me that is impossible. I told her I had a voicemail from the office confirming this appointment and she demanded I allow her to listen, so I played it for her on speaker. She said that it was wrong and that cleanints just dont happen same day. I asked her (calmly) not to be condescending and she immediately reacted by demanding I leave the office. I was embarrassingly escorted out through the main waiting room by her as she repeatedly told me to get out. Literally I just asked for some respect while she denied evidence of my appointment. To top that off when I had a crown put in by Daliwal (sorry for the spelling) I requested more numbing 3 times because it had worn off during the two hours, and she refused, so I went through the remainder of procedure unnumbed (45-60 min). Even as they spent 30 min digging into my gums to dislodge the piece of cement they accidentaly lodged in between my teeth. I have had terrible experiences at the dentist my whole life. This time I tried to reall do my research and find a good one. Unfortunately this office is abusive, rude, and utilized scare tactics to convince patients to get procedures done. I am in total disbelief that this was my expierence. Now I need my crown adjusted because it was not shaped properly and I am literally too afraid of the abuse I will receive if i go back into their office. People should not be treated this way. This truely was an inexcusable expierence.

2021-12-09It was a great visit today. My appointment was for 9:20 and I was greeted by the friendly receptionist. I was ushered back at exactly 9:20 and had a pleasant experience from the x-rays to the cleaning. The dental technician and doctor were very professional and friendly. I actually look forward going back in 6 months.

2022-02-18Great practice, friendly staff. My daughter is neurodivergent and they worked with her through everything. They were clear where their limits and comfort were and referred us out for evaluation of her orthodontia. Cant say enough good things about them!
