Heard about this place a while back and finally was able to go try it for lunch. Good experience from service to food quality. I would recommend the Rodney Dangerfield burger. A bit of a odd combo but turned our well for me. Milkshakes were awesome! They are currently short on staff so there may be a longer than expected wait. Would return to give other options a try.
Yo this place is dope! Bring a big appetite! Great tasting, perfectly cooked burgers, flavorful sandwiches, tots, and onion rings. And the milkshakes? The absolute best! Rich in flavor. Extremely tasty! The food, which was fantabulous, was only topped by the service! Our server, Jason (Chasen? Hard to hear with mask on), was attentive, and knowledgeable. Truly gave us a real experience and was grateful that we were there. We were more grateful for him. Well DEFINITELY be back! If youre reading this, go there right now and get yourself a burger and a milkshake! You deserve it and you wont regret it 🙌🏾
My wife and I had a wonderful time both times we went here! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary together here together! First day we were helped by a super awesome girl that was pretty new and she was great! Second time was tonight! Daylon was our server and he was fantastic! He was busy but he was kicking some serious table butt! All while keeping a super positive demeanor and consistently ensuring that we were taken care of and had everything we needed or wanted. Burger was a little closer to raw than rare but tasted great both nights! We also saw Ivan Kane himself taking care of guests. We had a reservation for 715, showed up at 7 and got seated at 735. People came in after us with the same reservation time but got sat first. Bigger parties take priority I guess but still not a long wait. Everyone was very friendly though. Wednesday night was busy, but Saturday night was crazy! I would not come here without a reservation. Food is reasonably priced considering the quantity AND the quality you receive. Both times left us too full to try one of there epic looking shakes! Definitely will be returning the next time we are in Columbus!
Ive been to this place for their Burlesque sure and it was phenomenal! The people are very nice and accommodating. I must say walking through the kitchen to go upstairs made me feel like I was on the set of Dorothy Dandridge, but it was worth the while. Highly recommended! The food was good, but it would have been nice to have a more extensive menu; limited options. 👍👍
Food was surprisingly spectacular! I would give 5 stars for the food we received and for our server but we had an appetizer that never came out. They rectified the situation so we would gladly go back! The serving sizes were so generous we didn’t even miss the missing dish.
Food is incredible!! If you’re hesitant to get the Rockefeller Center burger because of the price….GET IT!!! Hands down best burger I’ve ever had and would get it again and again. Worth every penny!!! The burlesque show is unbelievable! A must see if you’re considering it.My recommendation is to eat at the restaurant, then go to the show (instead of eating the prefixed dinner with the show).
My husband and I went last night for date night. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing! The staff was amazing! They started taking people through the walk in freezer at 7 and you go up the stairs and are seated. The show was only 3 dancers and started around 8:15. We did the drink and show package. My husband doesn’t drink wine or champagne but he did order a beer. We enjoyed the show and Ivan was there to mc and greet us which was really cool!!! Over all my husband and I had a great time last night and can’t wait to go back!! Drinks were limited, but I can’t complain at all! The dancers were really amazing and the band was great
Great environment! Waitress was awesome as this was our first time. Wild and delicious menu! Highly advise sharing if you’re not a huge eater, otherwise go for it. The shake came first (marvelous) and the food came next. Nothing crazy just wasn’t expecting dessert first. Will have to come back during the night time!
I really enjoyed the food here and the atmosphere. The burgers were just really good they have salt on the top which at first I thought was weird but it was perfect. The bun was toasted perfectly and it wasnt greasy. They chose a great bun for all of the fixins on the burger. We got the times square burger with Tots. 100% would recommend. The tots were perfection and thats an understatement. The shake was an experience. I got bridge and tunnel shake and my companion got the king kong shake. It was sooo cool to have your dessert not only be a show stopper but also be on fire! I would say it could have been a little sweeter but I can understand them holding back so that it wouldnt seem overwhelmingly sweet. I would also recommend getting a side of honey mustard for your tots. My day was honestly horrid but this experience turned it all around and put a smile on my face.I would recommend coming around 5:30pm on a weekend. The live music was a great touch. It does get pretty busy around 6:45pm because they are preparing for the show which is a separate part from the main dining area. The musician was very talented and played music that reminded me of new york personally. I cant wait to return.
Jason was the best server really attentive but not overbearing and very knowledgeable. I ordered the burger and added the maple candy bacon. Nick made me the shake the seasonal one. Substituted The fireball for a Chila cinnamon cream. Best alcoholic shake ever creamy, flavorful boozy but no burn. My spouse got the wagyu burger and loved every bite. Will be back. Best place to eat at Easton.
I visited the speak easy with the burlesque show above the restaurant and got the drink package instead of food. I was pleased with the drink package. I did not like the food option for the show and that you could not substitute. The show was amazing. Just enough sexy to still be classy but still get your heart pumping. Afterwards it turns into a club atmosphere playing all the popular songs from many genres. Definitely recommend for date night, ladies/ fellas night out. I only gave 4 stars because I havent tried their food yet.
This place is amazing and has the best burgers, fries and desserts. Reminds me a little of my Time living in New York. My husband & I have been here a few times and we are welcomed with open arms by “Victor” the bar tender. He’s respectful, very outgoing, a great host and conversational individual. We will be coming to this place a lot more as we recommended it to many because of this individual.
It was fairly busy, and there was only one server doing all the jobs; hostess, server, food runner, shake maker, busser, and probably others. Poor girl. We felt for her. She kept her head up, was positive and happy the whole time. Hope shes getting the recognition she deserves. Also! She asked for my partners pronouns. It sure flustered them but they were so happy to have been asked. That was the first time theyve been asked by someone that wasnt already a friend. Loved this place and the skyscraper shake.
I scheduled a visit to Forty Deuce as a surprise to my boyfriend. He had no idea we were attending the burlesque show in the hidden speakeasy. The staff was extremely helpful in participating in the surprise. He thought we were going to be cooking in the kitchen. To his surprise, we were escorted through a freezer door in the kitchen. Once seated at our VIP table Ivan (the owner) offered us a complimentary shot. Such an awesome experience!
The chicken and waffles were good, but the server tried to charge $4 to get a tiny additional cup of maple syrup which is outrageous! The bottle in Kroger doesnt cost that! It took almost 30 minutes to get the food to the table although it wasnt during dinner rush, we noticed a few gnats flying around us, and the server was so slow and she was chatty with other servers behind the bar. Poor service and no solution offered from the manager! This was our second experience like this...not going back.
Food was hot but definitely not gourmet, 42 sauce was tasty but must like pickles to like it. Its more along the lines of a NY/retro style cafe. We went on a Saturday evening so they had live music (piano player) which was nice. Milk shakes were fun, but not worth $15, more like cold milk slush and toppings than a milk shake.
We did a lunch inside the Egloo in a very cold day and it was awesome. It feels that we had a little picnic outside in the middle of January! Burgers were great. Leaha took excellent care of us and made our experience more memorable. This is the most affordable Egloo in Columbus!
This was my first time visiting this place and everything was perfect. From the delicious burgers to the wonderful ambiance, everything was amazing. Shout out to Jason for being such an amazing server. He brings an added level of great energy to the dining experience.
Cool atmosphere. The food was not worth the $$ . . Nothing special about the food beyond the copious amounts of salt on everything . . And I mean everything . . Even the hamburger bun had large chunks of salt on top of it. . There was no flavor to anything beyond sodium. Our waiter was also the bartender so we had one refill of water for the almost 2 hours we were there. Maybe the hype is the club they have on the weekend or the shakes but it was not the food for me.
So Im giving Forty Deuce a 2 star purely based off of what we were told compared to what happened. Our waitress was awesome and the food was great...I would give them a 5 based off that alone but since were lied to I can only give them a 2 at most. Weve had reservations at this restaurant since the 1st of January for the outdoor dining inside the igloos they have set up. This morning they emailed my wife stating that since it was gonna be a colder night the igloos could not be used per the fire marshal. We improvised and went to Land Grant for drinks before dinner inside of an igloo, which I guess the fire marshal had no problem with. We kept our same reservation, with Forty Deuce, since the food looked awesome. When we arrived at the restaurant the igloos were being used and also we had to wait almost an hour for reserved seating. We asked the hostess and she told us that they only used the igloos because other guests were upset. So I guess its ok to use the igloos, against the fire marshals direction, and make the people who actually paid to hold those igloos wait for almost an hour and not even be refunded money to hold the igloos and at the very least an apology. Instead the hostess gave us an excuse and then rolled her eyes at us. Thats definitely not the way to treat customers.
The Sunday show is phenomenal!! It was the most fun Ive had in a long time. Everyone that works there is so welcoming and helps to make the experience so enjoyable. The performers were absolutely fabulous!!! I cant say enough good things about all of them it was such an amazing experience!!
This is a pretty cool place over all. From just having a drink at the bar or dining at the restaurant. the bartender Princess who is so kind, funny and explains the drinks to the food menu very well. They have amazing Burgers & milk shakes to the club scene on Friday & Saturday. This place is highly recommend
This place is amazing! Our server Jason was extremely polite and helpful and all of our food was amazing. We didn’t realize the cafe closed at 8, and we had wanted a shake to end the night, and Nick the “shake master” still helped us out with a beautiful unicorn shake. We will definitely be back! Thanks Jason and Nick!!
This review is for the Sunday Drag show. Where to being...this is an EXTREMELY fun place at Easton that it seems like not many know about yet. Downstairs is a restaurant, but the real fun is through the kitchen into a secret door in the freezer that leads you to an upstairs speakeasy type bar. They do burlesque shows and drag shows up there but we had to pleasure of going on Sunday where it was drag queens and go go boys. Entry was only $5 per person (crazy low cover), and upstairs is a beautiful bar/stages/dance floor. There was a lot of good seating (tables/booths/bar seating) and every spot had a good view of the 2+ hour long drag show. Drinks were very reasonable and my friends and I had some of the most fun we have had in years! Wish we could get food during the drag show so I can spend more money (worth it). Tell only your coolest friends about this place because if they are not fun then dont come to the Sunday drag show.
Service was good. Food was nothing to write home about. The Biggest disappointment was the $4 charge for an extra syrup for the chicken and waffles I ordered! Like really $4 for less than an ounce (shot glass size)! Our waitress said an extra side of the hot honey was $8! Now I understand charging for extras but let’s be realistic!
We had an amazing time, the food, the atmosphere and the service were great. Chris, our server was very informative in explaining the best options on the menu. His customer service skills were good, he continue to check on us and let us know that our orders were submitted and should be ready shortly. He was very personable . Our food and drinks were delicious and we would definitely recommend.
We came in for milkshakes. Nick tutored my children on how to make them at home and was super friendly while making shakes for my children. The open viewing is really fun. Daylon was our server and made everything perfect. Keep up the good work. We will be back. Pro tip: order the tots.
Went to Forty Deuce for dinner with friends. Nice looking restaurant. Courteous wait staff. Acoustics horrible. I could barely hear the person talking next to me. Maybe it was the seating location. I had the triple decker chicken sandwich and onion rings. The sandwich was fresh, but the taste was shockingly bland. The bread on the sandwich was good. My onion rings were overcooked. Unfortunately, no one at my table...8 of us...was impressed with the food. I wont be back nor would I recommend this restaurant.
The band amazing! The performance sexy. The food.... Salad pre made (still good, they dress it when its time). Tonights dinner was Shepards pie in a mini serving cup and had ciabatta bread (2 slices) and butter. NO EXTRA bread and butter with the little dinner they gave. The waiter said they are out. I dont believe that. I wouldve paid for it. Overall good experience. Just eat before. And you can see that they responded professionally, but not going the extra mile to either explain their process etc.
Awesome experience. We got the drink package and got sat right on the bar. Couldnt have had better seats. The band and dancers were walking on the bar right in front of us. Music was great, drinks were great. We got there at 7pm, show started at 820pm and lasted about a half hour. Once youre there, youll realize why it takes so long. Theyve got to get 80 people in and sat and their food and drinks delivered. The time goes by fast. Enjoy the company and music and the show will start before you know it.
The food was amazing… I had the Rockefeller burger and it was sooooo goood!!! Our waitress, Joelle, was knowledgeable (she literally has the menu memorized), she had great presence, and was very attentive. She had recommendations which were the loaded tot and they were oh so tasty!!!
We went here just now for Mother’s Day. Music was too loud, I get it’s a hip place with music but you can’t even hear yourself think much less let your brain decide what you want from the menu. Service was absolutely terrible, we saw our waitress twice in the entire hour and half we where there. Apparently the table that had more customers mattered more to her. It took forever to get two burgers to our table. we ordered tots and never got them, nor did we still get them after we told the waitress our order was wrong. The food was not bad, but absolutely NOT worth having for such a poor experience. The staff looked to be in poor spirits, overworked and in a fowl mood. One of the waitresses had “hickies” all over her neck, and still allowed to work that day which says a lot about this restaurants tacky and poor standards. Very disappointing visit.
The burgers here are delicious. Can probably compare to the best in Columbus. But the service? Needs some work. Rarely saw out server, refills were scarce. The main reason coming here was to get one of those milkshakes but we were so frustrated with the lack of service, we were over it pretty quickly.
Went there earlier today and had to come back to note my experience as I sit here and eat my leftovers lol , upon entry it was super duper busy and I was surprised they had a table open I could sit at cause baby was it PACKED! The host was inviting and funny as she led me to my table. For them being so busy my server (deja? Dashia? Mask muffled it a bit) but she was amazing. On the ball. Kept everything together and gave us amazing service. The donut burger was insane and the shake was even more crazy!!
Dont believe the Hype!! Was in the Columbus area visiting from Cleveland and had heard great things about this place. First make sure you have a reservation if not you maybe waiting awhile for a table. Second is the very limited menu of over overpriced burgers that were good at best, but tasted dried out. I have had a much better burgers at Red Robin or Max & Ermas for less. Their plates appearance was very very simple and plain. Not to mention the portions. The side of fries were the equivalente of maybe a McDonalds small fry. Come on do potatoes cost that much? The burger was equivalente in size to maybe a Whopper. (The whopper was the $16 price.) Why was I still hungry afterwards? As for the Shakes.($15) I was impressed by their initial appearance and I would give them an A+ for presentation, but thats about it. They came out looking Great, but thats where it ended. They tasted just OK. I have had better shakes at Dairy Queen, but these looked pretty but no where near the $15 price tag. Overall I probably would not come back as I feel that spending over $80 before tip for 2 adults and a child is a little much. Its not so much a money thing but I feel that the Value is not there for what you get. Also a small pet peeve of mine is that we were charged a $1.00 extra for s small side of BBQ sauce, Really? Ultimately is up to you but just dont believe the hype. I hope this helps.
Menu is simple...burgers or chicken. Coke products is a plus offering refills with the over $2 price. Nice ambience, friendly and attentive staff and the choice to dine inside or outside of restaurant. I imagine the main attraction or the shakes at $15 a whop. My kids enjoyed it!
My wife got the apple pie shake and I got the loaded tots. The loaded tots were very very good and for the price I thought it was a great value. The shake came with a giant apple pie cookie and some churro bites. The shake was very good and my wife was was satisfied with everything that came with it. Leaha was our server and she was super nice, helpful, and didnt let our drinks get empty - shes crushing it.Will be back next time were at Easton.
I loved the food and experience. I highly recommend it if you are looking to have a good time not a quiet time. It is loud and festive but unique! The main reason I am writing though and this is embarrassing but the Manager Joey came and talked to us and I think he was hilarious, charming and really cute and was hoping he may see this and respond so we could maybe go out sometime? Please don’t think I’m weird or crazy I literally have never done this… after we left one of my friends said why didn’t you ask for his number… which now I really wish I would have.
I love the speakeasy concept where you go through the kitchen and through a cooler for to access the club. The burlesque show was good. The performers were top notch. The 3 pc band was very good. I would have given 5 stars, but our server didnt seem to have any answers to my very simple questions about the menu or timing of the event. Also the performances clicked in at a total of 30 minutes. It was so much fun I wish it lasted a bit longer.
I would have loved to give this place a better review because I was so excited to come her but unfortunately it wasn’t was expected. First when I called to see about reserving vip for a party of 14 they said it was no problem that it would be 65 a person but a $25 dollar deposit per person would be needed to place the reservation so 350. I was told that would go towards the final bill at the end of the night so everyone would just need to spend an additional $40. No big deal I get it since it’s a big party and if we didn’t show up that’s money lost. I ended up calling a few days later to let them know that the party is down to 11 and to make sure that the extra 75 would go towards the bill at the end o was told yes. The problem lies where I was charged 350 plus the total amount of $888(that’s including tip)I should have either been refunded the 350 or charged 538 at the end of the night.Second when we got there the girl at the front charged a person for my party and additional $15 to enter.Third the vip area was way to crowded and when I asked the manager for a bigger space he insisted that that space was big enough for the 11 which it was if they didn’t put another party of 7 in the same area.Lastly there was a creepy man staring at us the entire night and I brought it up to the hostess that he was making all of us uncomfortable she said she’d take care of it but he kept coming back.So all in all I wasn’t a great experience which is a shame because we did enjoy the show and had fun drinking but based on the total experience and the fact that 350 was basically stolen I would not go back.
Late review as I was there Sunday night but this one is a doozy so bare with me. I came here to treat my kids to the skyscrapers shakes and it’s so tough for me to treat them to good food because my kids cannot have gelatin and are allergic to peanuts and a lot of places can’t accommodate for that. But when I tell you the shake girl deja and my sever Chris went above and beyond for our table I almost cried. My kids loved it there. Chris kept us happy making food recommendations that accounted for what they couldn’t have and the shake girl let my kids watch her build every shake from scratch (kudos to her it looks like a fun but sticky job and she was so fast at it!) she even gave my crying toddler a lollipop to keep him occupied because he couldn’t have any of the shakes and let my daughters pick out their own unicorn rings! it was just an overall wonderful day for us as a family and the staff here went above and beyond expectations. Will be back!
I was so excited to go to Forty Deuces to celebrate my birthday only to be extremely disappointed by Ivan and his staff. The seats that were assigned to me were given to the people in front of me because they were Caucasian. I paid for bottle service and had to wait forever to get the bottle. The show was amazing but the service was terrible.
Got food no shakes. Tried the gotham burger. Was very good cooked just how I wanted. A little heavy on the blue cheese it was a little overpowering but still not bad. Service was great even though we had a group of 24 people. Ill be back to try a shake and maybe see the show
My husband and I went on 7/24 for the 8pm show. I wasnt sure what to expect because the reviews on here were very vague with the Supper Show experience. So I will run you through step by step.I placed our reservation on line $55 per person, confirmed. Since 7/24 was our 21st wedding anniversary we wanted to do something fun and different from your norm you know eating at a restaurant, talking, eating, go home. So I decided this would be fun, I was a bit hesitant since COVID I didnt want to waste my money if the experience was going to limited but we decided to go for it. We got all dolled up for our night, drive to Easton found it pretty easy. Lots of parking, the outside looked nice and inviting. We walked in and sat down, a waitress came over and took care of our reservations and sat us at the bar.She gave us a drink menu which we did not order from but had other drinks. The restuarant and bar area were clean and I loved the decor. She came over and asked if we had ever been and we told her no and asked how it worked. She said soon she will come get us and take us up to the club, our night included a shot, a three course dinner and dessert. It also includes bottle service from a list of wines or Champagne.10 minutes later she came over to let us know we were ready for our turn to be seated. She took us through the kitchen to the back where she opened the freezer door!! We walked through the door into a secret staircase, painted to light up under black light. We went up three sets of stairs and came through the bar where we were greeted by our server with a shot of lemon drops! The room was amazing with paintings, lights and a big stage and bar area. Around the room was a dance platform for the dancers. She took us to our own VIP table where we sat on a rolled type velvet HUGE wrap around couch, perfect view of bar and stage. Music was playing, our table was small like an old fashioned supper club you see in the movies, and a small lamp. Our hostess came over (Im horrible with names) asked what bottle I wanted and my husband ordered a drink since he doesnt drink wine and champagne. She brought our drinks and opened the bottle of Champagne, she also had a bucket for my champs. We sat for a little bit drinking in the room and then our food started to come out, it started with a chopped salad which was good. My husband wanted soda, she brought over soda in a BIG bottle and cold glasses. Our next course were sliders (2) they were really good, after the second course the dancers came out.The stage started to turn and the live band started to play. The first lady came out and danced to the band, and then the second act came out and danced. Both were absolutely gorgeous and the show was amazing. After the show more music from the DJ and then desert. Birthday cake milkshakes! We ate, drank, couched danced and had an amazing experience! We would do it again for sure. With COVID they had a limited audience and took safety percutions the whole time we were there. From start to finish they took us through the whole experience. Here are somethings that we felt could be approved on.The dinner was good, my husband wished there were 3 sliders instead of two.The show was about 20 minutes long but I wish there were at least one more. Maybe this was due to COVID Im not sure.Maybe add a moscato type wine to the bottle service. If it was on the list I missed it and although I like Champagne I would have rather had the type of wine I like.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for fun. Im wondering if we were not in the world of COVID is this open after thier last show for dancing and drinks until closing time (2:30). That would fun to do the last show and stay for dancing and drinks.I wish I can remember name but the entire serving staff was AMAZING, the show was AMAZING and sultry and very classy and playful. Thanks for a an excellent Anniversary!
I have been here several times and it is fun every time. I recently brought my grandson and family for a special day out. It was a treat to be together and we had a great time sitting outside in the sun. I know there is a service crunch in the restaurant industry right now but we came in early on a Saturday , the service and food were both great. The last time we were here was a really fun night out. The staff made us feel very safe by ensuring social distancing and seating customers appropriately. The food was really good and the lemon drops are delicious, just beware they go down smooth. The playlist was AMAZING, too! The next time I am there I will have to ask for a copy. :-)
Took my significant other here for a night out. Food was great and dessert... Was ridiculously awesome! A whole ice cream sandwich in my milkshake ⭐. Really enjoyed the 40s diner decor and the very friendly staff. Definitely recommend pre-purchasing tickets to get into the speakeasy!Columbus could use more local live joints like this.
Interesting establishment. Apparently they have burlesque things going on upstairs and a speak easy themed club downstairs, yet they sandwiched those highs by putting a restaurant in between. Their staffs suspender type outfits tho. It kinda gets jumpin in there too. The burgers were banging, the drinks not so much but the 15 dollar milkshakes looked bomb.
My best friend and I checked out the restaurant for lunch today. We both really enjoyed our burgers (I got the Gotham and she got the Broadway), and the milkshakes were phenomenal. Our server was super attentive to us, taking our order quickly, checking for refills frequently, etc. And it didn’t take long at all to receive our food or the shakes. I saw lots of comments about the prices being high... but I think for an “experience”-type restaurant, the prices are pretty on par, and the quality of food was good. Would definitely like to go again in the future.
We had high hopes for this place, especially because our son was so excited about the milkshakes. But when we walked in I should have known to turn around and walk back out. There were 4 empty tables but the hostess told us there would be an hour and a half wait because they save those for big parties (there were three of us and they were empty 4-top tables). She did say there was open bar seating, so we did that. The bartender was great and super attentive. She took our orders and we proceeded to wait. We could see directly into the kitchen and we got a bit nervous when we noticed none of the kitchen staff were wearing masks. We had been waiting about 30 minutes and saw many orders go up, but the wait staff just walked by them and let them get cold. Then we watched the manager come up (whose unkempt hair seemed to be a bit of a health hazard) to ask about a few orders and proceed to eat food off the plates! By then we knew this was definitely not the place for us. We explained our concerns to the bartender, paid for our drinks and gave her a big tip, then left. The crazy part was that she wasn’t even shocked when we told her what all we had seen and why we were grossed out! Needless to say, we will not be back.
Came in as walk-in, was seated right away. I ordered a burger that had pineapple and kimchi. I never knew that was a mix i needed to try. Hands down the best burger i ever had. I wasnt a huge fan of the salted bun so i removed some of the salt. My boyfriend got the fried chicken breast, he is a huge fan of fried chicken breast sandwich and he also said it was the best hes ever had. My friend got the classic burger and she was happy with her meal. My boyfriend also got a milk shake, i was so full from the burger i dont know how we managed to have some of the shake. Would i come back? Yes. Worth the money? Yes.Ive also been to the burlesque show they have at night. The cover charge was $10 each. You can reserve tables. There was women dancing on the tables the whole time. The music for the live performance is played by a live band. Each song is dancer by a solo performer. The performance is only 2 songs. I wish it was longer. After the performance i left. The music wasnt really my style and most of the people who attend are like 30+. Would i come back? No, the performance was really good but its more of a see it once and never again. Worth the money? Ehhh. Like i said the music was not my style.
My husband and I read the overall good reviews and decided to dine in. We were seated quickly and our server was friendly. As we were eating our food, we overheard the servers yelling about one of the employees having covid. This was shocking to hear and we instantly lost our appetite. I don’t understand why an employee would put their coworkers and their guests at risk of Covid-19. Needless to say, we will not be returning.
We had our company holiday party here and were disappointed in the service. We had stopped in the week prior to make reservation. Were told that we did not need one that theyd be happy to have us. We had a group of 14. To say the service was slow is an understatement. The restaurant was not very busy to begin with. About 45 minutes into our arrival 3 of the 14 meals came out. Over a half hour later the rest the meals slowly made their way to our table. We did not get to eat together as team. When asked about our orders coming out we were told they were getting worked on. No apologies or anything. Drinks were left not filled and waitress was not very attentive. At one point members of our table were going up to the bar to get refills. The food was very good. We all loved our meals. Unfortunately, we all agreed that we will not be returning due to slowness and lack of customer service.
What a great night! I surprised my husband for our 25th wedding anniversary by reserving the Supper Club for us both. This was out of our normal comfort zone, but super fun and I plan on coming back with a group of friends. Fantastic service, great show, and the 3 piece band was amazingly talented as well. Thank you, Ivan and our server Alana!
Oh my god !! I love this place so so much ! The nightclub is an experience you’d never get anywhere else. Better than some I’ve been to in like big party states !! Alayna. Daja and ummm I think ti? Were so fun! The DJ rocked!! Definitely will be back next weekend !! ❤️
I planned a special evening for my birthday and lets just say there were some positives and negatives. The show and food was amazing!!! At the end of the night I noticed that the bill was not what was quoted to me over the phone previously. The bill was $652 and I was told that if I had 10 people in my group we would pay $500 for drinks and VIP. I had 9 people and verified with the waitress before I ordered our drinks that I would only have to spend $450 since we had 9 people and she said yes. The receipt showed 2 bottles for $250 each and VIP was $100 plus 45 in taxes. Needless to say I felt they were not upfront with me and I was over charged. Definitely hidden charges 💲💵💰
Lauren was our server and the-y took great care is us and were very helpful for our first time in. We were close to the shake station and Nick was amazing. They made sure we all had a great time and enjoyed, not only watching them make other peoples’ shakes but made sure our our food and experience was amazing. Love this place and will definitely be back!
A solid C-. For the price I expected something truly great, instead I got a weirdly boring burger, they were unable to make the milkshake we ordered and overall it cost way to much for what it was. If you want a good hamburger and a good milkshake do yourself a favor and go to FlipSide (also in Easton).
Forty Deuce gets a star for concept and service. But with a price tag that runs $100 for two burgers, two sides, two drinks, and tip at 20%, theyre going to have to do a lot better if theyre going to survive among Eastons many eateries. In the photo you can see what qualifies as cooked to medium. Medium would be hard to accomplish since the hamburger patty is way too thin. All the flavor comes from garnishes on an unseasoned patty. We had a cocktail and a shake and both were more remarkable in aesthetic than flavor. All in all, Forty Deuce is all show and no substance. Youd be better off at a Red Robin.
Weve been here about 15 mins now and there is no sign of any waiters or other staff now. The two that walked by earlier avoided eye contact apparently to make sure we didnt flag them down and ask how to order food or drinks ... Or something. Probably the most disappointing service in the Easton area.
We visited for the first time, we went for the milkshakes. We ordered a hamburger and tots, the food was very good. I ordered the King Kong milkshake, it was good, however, when I got home to write this review I looked at the milkshake I ordered and realized I had some toppings missing I thought it looked different. I was missing the marshmallows around the glass 🤦♀️. Oh well maybe the next time.
Never heard of this place until we was looking for a place to grab a late nite dinner. Walking into this place to get seated at a table next thing we know we are walking through the kitchen and into the meat freezer. Couple flights of stairs and your in a different world. Awesome bar with jammin music and go go dancers. Not knowing what we were getting into made this that much cooler. Highly recommend the hidden nite club. Know idea about the food.
Loved this place! Me and my boyfriend drove up to the mall on a whim looking for a casual relaxing bite to eat after a long day of work. They so kindly accommodated us! Ive worked in food service as a server for 4 years and I was very pleased with my visit. They were super nice about everything. The owner was there and he did everything to welcome us in and make us feel at home and accommodate us given the circumstances.Victor was our server and he was so helpful and fun spirited! Got us everything we needed including some of that 42 sauce to go home with my burger. Loved the ambiance and the Broadway burger was so good. My boyfriend enjoyed his food too. I wanna go back for the mimosas, Brunch, and show the bartender was telling us about. Thanks guys for everything! Ill be back for the mimosas, count on it 😉
We had a dinner reservation in the cafe prior to the show at 8:30. Dinner was great! Our server was amazing and there was not a long wait on the drinks/food! The show was enjoyable and I love that Easton has added this type of entertainment for us! The cocktail waitress during the show was nice, and made sure we were happy throughout. The dancers we saw were very talented and entertaining! We will be back!
We dined in for the first time tonight and will 100% be back. We brought our daughter to try one of the milkshakes - but quickly ended up ordering food and three milkshakes (one for all of us to try). Nothing disappointed! Well worth the money and the patio/location is awesome. I was a little worried because reviews mentioned bad service but we couldn’t have had a more opposite experience. We dined with David and he was amazing! So friendly from the moment we got there, very attentive, and took the time to give us a rundown on the history of the place. Can’t wait to return to try the other shakes and menu items! We had the patty melt, tots and special sauce, greasy spoon shake, unicorn shake and bridge funnel shake. Highly recommend those items and David as a server!
I found the Forty Deuce when exploring Valentine’s Day options. At the time it was completely sold out and I decided to book a group event for my Husband’s 40th Birthday. I book an event for 10 people which was $502.00. The ambience going into the speak easy and the actual venue was very nice. Apparently, I ordered the drink only package in error, I asked to add on the meal plan for all of my guests, I was told that was not an option. I asked if my guests could order off the menu and was told that wasn’t an option either. Only food options were appetizers-French fries, loaded fries, onion rings, fried pickles and fried Mac n cheese bites. I ordered all appetizers available for my guests/the onion rings never arrived. Appetizers were not good, I imagine the actual food being the same. Since we were seated on the “bridge” we had to hold out drinks and all of our belongings. Our waitress was extremely rude. The show was nice but quick-3 dancers and a small band performance. When it ended I assumed it was an enter-mission but, no it was the end. $502 for 1pints of jack daniels and 1 pint of Tito’s and a sip of champagne per person is not worth $502. I would not suggest to others or go back!
I have never been before, and cant wait to go back!! My burger was perfect and their gourmet mac and cheese was delicious!! Though they were short staffed our server was right on top of everything!! I am sorry that I didnt catch her name, but told her on the way out, what a fantastic job she had done. Highly recommend.
This was my first time at this restaurant, I was instructed to take a seat anywhere even though there was a hostess. Nevertheless I sat at the table in the middle of the restaurant across from the kitchen and I waited. I watch another table leave. I should I have known then that there was a long wait. However, the young lady from the bar asked Did someone take your drink order ask my table replied no she went away to wipe down the bar. After, requesting for a manager the shake maker went and told the mgr that we wanted to speak with her. No one came we had to ask who was the mgr on duty and we were told it was the young lady in burgundy apron but when we asked her she said she was the host. Another young lady came over sill unclear her position but she took our order and eventually brought it back. This service was horrible. I would not recommend due to the poor service I received as well as the party I was with. I was highly recommended.
Deliciously juicy burgers & onion rings- definitely try the special sauce- in a fun, retro atmosphere with a LIVE piano player that took requests while we were there on a Friday night. The milkshake was tasty but certainly not worth $15 (the picture you get to take of the milkshake is what youre paying for, I imagine) and they were out of a few flavors on the menu. We will definitely be back to try the flavors we missed out on and maybe even swing by for brunch with some friends!
Took my wife and daughters for a spring break treat. The staff is very friendly. We tried the buckeye shake. The toppings looked amazing, from what my wife and daughters told me they were delicious....I didnt get to them in time. The food is very good. I would recommend sharing a milkshake because theyre really good but very filling. Unless youre planning just milkshake stop then definitely everyone order one. Great place. I would recommend.
We got a igloo. It was alright and not cold considering it was 23 outside. They had 2 space heaters and a air purifier. They got us in on time. We brought blankets and hand warmers but after getting in and warming up we didnt need them. The food portions were pretty good size and tasted great. My only slight complaint and not worth loosing a star over is the milkshakes were slightly melted. The manager was really on top of everything even if it felt the service from everyone else was very slightly slow. It was a great experience even though I doubt we will do again it was very nice to get out with family and friends safely and have a great meal. I would definitely recommend everyone do it at least once.
Incredibly slow service- once seated it took them 15 minutes to take our drink order, then another 15 just to get our drinks. Im pretty sure someone spiked my wifes drink too. She had one drink and was acting strange in a way Ive never seen before, and Ive seen her drunk. The server also didnt know what soft drinks they had. The only good thing was the food- the burger was delicious. Take my advice- if you want a good burger AND a good experience, go to Flip Side.
We attended the dinner show and was highly disappointed. The tickets cost $130 for 2 which includes dinner, a bottle of wine and the show. The food was not very good at all. There was a small salad which was 2 slices of tomato and 2 slices of mozzarella. Then a cheese tortellini that was terrible and tasted like a military ration meal. The show seemed like something they quickly threw together. There was 3 dancers and they werent great either. I dont want to be mean but this is certainly not worth the money or very entertaining.
Will definitely be coming back again. Great Atmosphere, live music, friendly staff and great food. I have the Fried Chicken Sandwich, my husband and son had burgers and we were all satisfied. The milkshakes were a topper! If you haven’t been here yet it’s a must to stop by and try it out.
Had a fantastic 42nd birthday at forty deuce! We were in town from Cincinnati and had to have dinner here and try the shakes. Great food, huge portions. Fun shakes with a flavor of the month. There was a lovely gentleman playing the piano and ended up playing happy birthday for me.Great meal, great fun. Highly recommend
Nick made the most awesome milkshakes! And China brought professional and kind service. The shakes were so very delicious you definitely have to bring your appetite and your eyes can barely believe how HUGE they are! Thanks China and Nick for a great experience from start to finish.
Took our kids here today for lunch and milkshakes. Service was so slow, we were there for 2 hours. We had to get up and get a manager just to get our food order placed. They then messed up our order, and we had to send our bill back 3 times as it was wrong. They did give us 2 free milkshakes. The food is delicious but not worth the amount of time we were there. With 4 kids, having to wait over an hour for food is just not reasonable. We also had to go find the waitress to get our card back as she took our bill and card but never came back. When approaching her she had no idea who we were. Super annoying experience.
Our family had an incredible experience. The server was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was really unique and the live piano really made the ambiance and crowd noise work well. My wife and I each tried different burgers. The burgers were full of unique flavors and juicy. We were blown away by the shake! So creative and tasty. Our kids have been asking to go back to try the other varieties.
We went to the burlesque show on 12/12/20 with a small group and really enjoyed it. After walking through a secret door and up the steps, we entered the club where music was playing and we were shown to our table. We really enjoyed the fact that we got to chill, have some drinks and listen to some music before the food and show. Ivan Kane was the one playing the music in the DJ booth, which we thought was cool. The staff were outstanding and attentive and the food was delicious and it was just the right portion size! After dinner the burlesque show started. The band (sax, bass, and drums) was really good and the 2 dancers were amazing! Their performances were so entertaining and when one of the girls did a zip line across the club we couldnt believe it!!! It was a great time and we will definitely go back! The entire experience was amazing. Kudos to the staff for their great service and also to the manager and Ivan Kane for making the club safe and socially distanced!
First and last time to this restaurant. We came in for a late lunch, not very crowded at all but it took 40 minutes from the time we ordered until our food arrived. I was just about ready to walk out and go somewhere else when it came. The burgers average around $15 and are mediocre at best. I highly recommend not wasting your time coming here I’m going someplace where you get faster service and better food for the money.
Meant to leave this review on a Saturday night but better late than never I always say I went to the nightclub last night and had the time of my life before I got to the nightclub I sat in the café to have a pre-club dinner let me say now the food was delicious everything was impeccable and brought to me quickly my server Jason was a delight not to mention when I left the club the bartender Deja was extremely helpful and recommended a really delicious drink I suggest everybody asked her to make something sweet she won’t disappoint! I also had another server who stuck out to me whose name was DaylinI actually hope I’m spelling that correctly but he gave me information about the nightclub that convinced me to go that night which was a godsend I had a really good night I suggest everybody love this place!

2022-05-14The meaning of life, the universe and everything: Forty Deuce. My wife brought me here for my birthday and it was quite the gift. We did the dinner club package. Frankly, we would have expected a little fancier dinner for the money and they didnt provide any choices. Its a good thing were not vegetarian. If we do it again, well probably eat downstairs before the show. The show was really fun! The band really rocked it out. The ladies were spectacular and tasteful. Everyone was very talented. Ivan himself hosted the whole thing, so that was pretty cool too! The entire staff was fantastic, both upstairs and downstairs. Even the guys washing dishes made us feel welcome. My only criticism would be that the entire thing felt a little less organic and a little more theme park-like than I expected. But that said, it was a great time and I think its really cool that we have a place like this in Columbus! Thanks Ivan!

2021-12-12Ive been wanting to go here since theyve opened and I finally went today! Photos of their milkshakes is what first caught my interest. 🤣 We went here on a Sunday for lunch and there was no wait and it wasnt busy or crowded inside. Our food was ready within no time. I ordered The Broadway with grilled chicken and fries and my husband ordered The Midnight Cowboy with a beef patty and tator tots. We shared a side of mac and cheese. 🧀 The portion sizes are worth what you pay and the fries were fantastic. Nice and crunchy and not soggy at all. ✅ My husband thought the mac and cheese lacked flavor and I agree. It was good but not great. Overall, our sandwiches were messy to eat so expect to have sauce all over yo hands (not a dis, just saying). 😂 We were too full to order dessert 🥲😭 BUT we will go back in the future to indulge in one of those gorgeous milkshakes. 😍🍨🍰

2022-05-09We had an outstanding meal. Pickle chips were delicious. Both burgers were amazing. Fries and onion rings were outstanding. The milkshakes must be experienced. We shared the Buckeye...house made peanut butter ice cream, salted caramel, hand made Buckeye candy and a huge fudge brownie w a peanut butter icing. That fudge brownie was worth the price of admission alone. Maybe the best onion rings Ive ever had. The service was also fantastic. Definitely going back to experience the Burlesque show. I only give 4 stars because it is a little small and the restaurant was very smokey from the kitchen. This place is a great meal but also an experience. 👍👍

2022-05-10This is definitely a place worth going to if you love milkshakes. They are amazing creations of unique concepts that taste soo good. Numerous Burger options to try that each have a different taste or style to them. The atmosphere and music were amazing and enjoyable and it had a cool bar area. The biggest thing that hurts this place is the service. I’ve had pretty bad service all around with wait staff forgetting to put in things we’ve ordered to not having help when workers are chatting around. This has happened multiple times with different servers and it’s disappointing when you feel abandoned at the table only for them to show up and forget to even put in some orders.

2022-01-30The food was fantastic! We both got the unicorn shake and made it boozy, and on the left is the royal jelly burger and on the right is the midnight cowboy. We sat at the bar because the place was packed. Princess and Victor were great behind the bar. They took very good care of us.

2021-10-23I came here with my kids. We were only going to get shakes, but changed our minds and got lunch. Im so glad we did. The food is very well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and super delicious. The shakes live up to the hype. The New York theme is done very well, and we love the vibe in the restaurant. The service is top-notch. I wish I knew the waiters name because he did a fantastic job. We will be back.

2022-01-08The dancers, waitresses and overall experience AMAZING!!!! But took 2 stars away for the food.We purchased the 7pm Dinner and Show tickets. When I tell you the food is GROSS it’s GROSS. Trust me just buy the Drink + Show ticket and eat in the restaurant before the show. The ‘gourmet’ dinner seriously is worse than frozen food. It’s 3 courses. 1st course was a salad, tasted gritty like bag salad, unwashed. 2nd course Sheppard Pie - the beef unseasoned and I seriously felt like I would get sick if I ate it. 3rd course was suppose to be upside down pineapple cake but was substituted for chocolate cake. The cake was definitely frozen and reheated. It was not moist and literally crumbled to pieces. So we only were able to stomach the salad, which was barely digestible, but we had to eat something because we were starving! But the show is still a MUST SEE! Just eat before you come or have one of the burgers before the show.

2022-01-30Wow, I had high expectations and they were exceeded. The food was delicious, I mean the donut burger was much tastier than it had any business being. And the service was so good, even though it was a packed house our server, Leaha, was so attentive, helpful and kind. I will definitely be recommending Forty Deuce to other and I will be back!

2022-02-16Went for the Dinner show and stayed for drinks. Show had a live band interactive and on point def 9 out of 10 they really kept the show going. The show also had 3 separate acts with amazing dancers 8 out of 10 the ladies def have a polished act. The only reason I did not give this place a 5 Star is due to the dinner. The main course is the 1st picture, it was unfilling and the dessert was pretty small. Other then that is was a good time.

2022-03-19The shakes are amazing. We love all the details added to each one to make it special and yummy. So worth the price. We wanted to do something special for a birthday and this definitely was perfect! We definitely will be back.
