Firestone Complete Auto Care in other cities:
I went into Firestone in August of 2021 because I was having a problem with my front driver side wheel there was a burning smell. I was convinced to have a auto check done which I did and it was determined that my calipher and Rotors needed to be replaced, my problem is that they replaced both the front right and left when the passenger side had just been replaced at the dealer a year before and I was charged 1224.30. 2.5 hours of labor was 600 dollars when the tech clearly told me they charge 104 per hour. I did not realize how grossly overcharged I had been until later when I started reviewing my invoice. I had several deaths in the family the last few months and frankly my head was not in game but now I am furious and am requesting an adjustment to these charges.
Took an hour longer than quoted to get in for an alignment, then took an attitude with me when I called for a Time update... Just to tell me they cant do the alignment because I need new ball joints and still charged me an inspection fee. Disappointing customer service
Avoid this location!! Im from out of town and have a flat on one of my 4, still under warranty, new tires from Firestone.Im sitting in this locations parking lot, I was told nothing can be done until Monday, its Wednesday now, 5 days until I can have a flat repaired.I had to call a roadside assistance company to come change my tire, from the Firestone parking lot!!!!! Never again will they get my business.
Horrible customer service! Was quoted 1.5 hrs for an alignment and tire rotation over the phone when setting up the appointment. Told it would be 2 hrs when I got there at my scheduled time...end up taking almost 3.5 hrs. They damaged the splash guards behind my rear tires and the working manager at the time was extreamly rude when I reported the damage at the front desk, was even shaking his head and rolling his eyes . I asked him to have his manager call me and have yet to receive a call. Both times I was in, there was another customer also upset with this locations service. Hurts to even give them 1 star!
I was unhappy with the casual explanations given for why my warranty tires didnt come under warranty because I was told the shocks were bad so that cancelled the tire warranty. I went there to have the oil check, battery and tires and only left with a battery since they didnt have a oil filter they couldnt do an oil change for another 45 minutes although I had been there an hour before I was told that information and repeatedly ask him while I was waiting about the oil level of the car since there was a lot of oil on the garage floor. Very disappointed and will not return.
I went to this stores location the first time a year and a half ago and had wonderful customer service from an employee named Nick I believe. He made my experience so enjoyable and the work that they did was so great that I wanted to make sure to come back here again.I went on the website the other day to make an appointment and saw that there was one available at 5pm and I said I would wait at the store for my oil change to be completed. I received a call from an employee at the store and he told me that they close at 6pm and he said that they would not be able to complete the oil change by then. I said that was no problem, but the tone in his voice made it seem like I was inconveniencing him. He told me for the work that I needed done, they would need to start it at 3pm or 4pm at the latest. I asked him to schedule it for 4pm since I cant get off of work earlier than that. He again gave me a rude tone and said that he still didnt know if he could get the work done by 6pm.I understand that the store closes at 6pm, but if the work cannot be done by that time, I would suggest not having the option to wait at the location available if you dont want customers to schedule a waiter appointment at 5pm or even 4pm. This employee also shouldnt talk down to the customer on the phone when the customer does not know at the time of scheduling the appointment that their job would not be able to be finished by closing time.I work in customer service and I know how important it is to not give off an attitude over the phone if something is inconveniencing you or even if you are having a bad day. I wish I remembered this guys name, but he really ruined my experience with this store and I ended up scheduling an oil change at a different location that was willing to work on my car when I was available.
I’ve taken my car to this Firestone since I moved to Dayton in 2020. I just bought a used car and took it to them to do a once over and diagnose a faulty TPM sensor. Adam is so incredibly helpful. His customer service really takes it to another level. I had planned to leave my car for a couple days, but they had everything checked over and the TMPS fixed in two hours. I was a customer before, but after this positive experience, I won’t go elsewhere. You pay for the service you get. 10/10 for sure.
Ever since they changed managers from a few years ago the people are rude!! I have took my cars there my parents took their cars there and we have both experienced nothing but rudeness and always tryin to sale u extra then what u need. Example asked for a tune up tried to get me to have a diagnostic to see if its really a tune up i need. After someone else has told me thats what i need. And when i said ok 150 for tune up but u want me to spend another 100 just to test it. Reply was its ur car do whatever u want. Never again will i take my cars here!!! To bad i cant give a 0 star!!!
Price: bit mental as Sams Club replaced my tire for 2/3 the cost as these guys, both cheapest options.Service: SubparSafety: No mask on the cashier and no plastic divider between me and him. Very cool. Then when standing a good 8 feet back he struggles to hear you. Some stars since they diagnosed and tried to repair my tire for free and when I said price was too high I wasnt charged. That I at least appreciate and would have been willing to pay for to get that opinion.Otherwise? For anything tire and battery related buy yourself a sams club membership off Groupon for $25 (or Costco) and do it there.
My last experience ruined this place for me. My 2011 Chevy Equinox stalled, I got it towed here cause this place was my go too. After looking at the vehicle they tell me the engine has severe damage, belts misaligned, metal in the oil, 14 misfires and the only safe option would be just to throw the entire engine away and they rough quoted me $9000, I said no and they did an oil change for me and my car ran again. I took my car to the Chevy Dealership and they reassured me there was no actual damage to the engine and the main issue was a guidance chain bracket was broken. Fix this and the car will run fine for miles to come. The Chevy dealership explained all those things firestone told me could happen in the future but at the present wasnt the issue. Chevy then quoted me $1800 to fix it, with this knowledge in hand I went to a local mechanic who then quoted me $300. After 10 days of moving my car from place to place, bothering friends for rides, getting a rental car and a mountain of anxiety over the holidays the total bill was $400 which includes an $80 dollar tip to the mechanic for being straight and easy to work with. I know the mechanics at Firestone are not super specialist in every car on the planet and theyre just human beings, but a little more guidance, a little more help, a bit more thorough review to the issue, which they couldnt pin down themselves, wouldve been greatly appreciated and I wouldnt be here writing this review after 5 years being a customer here. After their quick $100 diagnostic review they just went with the nuclear option. Just like cancer always get a second opinion.EDIT: A year and a half later the car is still running fine. Seriously, be careful here and take a grain of salt with their suggestions.
I needed a tire repair late on a Sunday afternoon. Chris told me that, if I hurried, he could get me in. His technician diagnosed the problem and replaced my tire, which could not be repaired, with an affordable alternative. They were even able to squeeze in a needed oil change as well. I appreciate Chris’ straightforwardness and honesty, and his humor, too. I’ll remember how they helped me out in a pinch.
Chris and his team are by far the best I have ever felt with in this area over the last 13 years. I had a long trip to take care of my daughter who was having a major surgery. They got me in on a Sunday, diagnosed my issue and had me out the door by the end of the day. As for price, the most reasonable. Chris looked up their current coupons and applied them to my bill and saved me a ton of money. I will recommend them to everyone. Fair, honest, dependable.
ZERO stars. BEWARE. I have utilized firestone for over a decade. 5 cars, from a Honda civic to a $40k SUV. Moved to Ohio, and had the first horrible experience with this location. They are definitely out to scam you. Told I needed brake roters, took it to the dealership, BRAKES did not replacement. Told I had wiring that needed to be replaced on broken taillight, $1200 to replace. Took it to a body shop, no wiring needed, just a bulb. STAY AWAY. It truly is sad because you put trust into your mechanics, no trust here, not even good customer service. Please dont waste your money, get a second opinion if you dont believe my situations.
I have been a customer of Firestone for several years in several states. In each and every one I have visited, the folks there have been IMO, world class. That is until I arrived at this one. I am going to give understanding that we all are not on our best every day. But, attitude and customer service skills go a long way in a customer service oriented business. Car owners must get their vehicles serviced, but do not have to choose a particular provider of said service. Which is why, still remaining a Firestone customer, I will seek other shops. Maybe the atmosphere at this store will improve, but do not act offended if a customer wishes to view the work performed prior to paying and then asks a question about the condition of the part.
Great IF I work with Ray. Ray is knowledgeable, caring, respectful, and discusses the lowest level of detail without hesitation.Abysmal if I work with Rich. He is closed off, would have let my car go without new brakes (which were grinding) and the car wasnt stopping properly. The brakes were gone, but he ignored it!Ive been to this store twice and had a great experience with Ray. I wouldnt hesitate to leave my car in his hands. He has admirable integrity and gets the job done right.
Very helpful and friendly. Called less than 30 minutes before close cause my wife got a flat tire. At first said they couldn’t get to it but I said she was on the side of the road and the car was a traffic hazard and the manager who was working alone agreed to take it in. I got the tire to him and had a new tire on in no time. Very friendly and helpful and so thankful he was willing to help.
I dont know this place always seems like youre trying to get extra money out of the customers I went there for a tire alignment and right before I even find anything for them to start I was told all of these disclaimers about how people put things on wrong and theyre going to charge me anyway if its like bad and basically it seemed like they were just already telling you in the beginning theyre going to charge you for some things that really isnt wrong with your vehicle I have went to this place couple other times about a year ago and they did the same thing so I would definitely not recommend this place
On the 08.09.2020 I changed my car oil and want home and parked in front of my house and on the next day i discovered that there is oil liking on the parking spot , as a driver i feel panick and i asked my friends about it and all answer were the same its oil overflow on the engine, so on the next day i want to place where i did change my oil and at the first they didnt find my name on their records i asked them to check with my phone number so they did found and again they asked me to explain whats happened I explained my story to them again they said to me drive to the line number one and we will check it for you which i did i drove to the garage number one and the manager came and checked the oil level on and he said that yes we did drop little much oil but we dont have time to fix it you can came tomorrow for it but we dont give you waranty that we will do it and i said that i am having trip tomorrow i cant came is it possible to fix it today he ignored our converstation and said that you can go to other firestone place for checking. so why should others fix the mistake that you did for your customer and instead of halping you are ignoring them to help so long short story he walked away from us by saying i dont have to to spand with you. I strongly dont recomand this place to anyone place avoid this place and save your money and take care your car in more professional places where they take care about their customers.
No problems at all. I went there for an alignment. It took a little while, an hour and a half, but that was expected. The cost was reasonable, they recommended several repairs and gave me a print out detailing them and explained which were most important but the associate wasnt pushy about it all. Ill probably go back.
Great place to get your vehicle maintenced. Dont go on the weekends or the end of the month. Services take a long time but just know your car is getting the care it needs. Before you get a service done make sure they explain it to you; why you need it done and whats the benefits in the long run.
They have always been great with both of our cars. They do suggest things but are not pushy about it, and completely leave it up to you. They explain things and communicate well. We had a real trouble car, and they did everything in their power to find the problem. Because of that experience we will always go back to them for our car issues.
Excellent customer service. My 2005 Ford is running like new after an inspection and discovery and repair of needed service. Got it done same day. Have been to other repair shops and the dealership - the Firestone experience was beyond the others, exceeded my expectations.
I have been to this shop two times now. I used to like the free lifetime alignment option, and planned to do this on my 99 Pontiac grand prix. Not only was I told my car was in too poor of shape to perform an alignment I was also given an estimate for almost $4,000. I return to pick up my car and proceeded to go to a different shop that had no issue performing an alignment on my car. This car has been family owned since 1999 and all the maintenance performed by a certified mechanic (family member), and ahead of time. Nothing wrong with any of the components to not allow for an alignment. So the joke was on firestone for suck a joke of an estimate and wasting my time. Now fast forward two years, two feet of snow in my driveway and unable to perform maintenance. Major leak seen in the parking lot near firestone. Against my better judgment I went into the shop to see if they could give my truck quick look over. The same employees told me to drive home and come back tomorrow. Turns out I have a major safety recall on my truck, and I am at risk of caching fire just by driving the truck. The total time to diagnosed this problem was less than 10 min.Bottom line, this place maybe good for people that want to spend a lot of money on repairs that are not needed, and overlook major safety repairs that are needed. They will happily take your money – but you are not getting the quality you should expect.
Nick opened the shop early to help me with a flat tire. I got to the store at 6, took tire off car, nick arrive at roughly 630. He put a new tire on the rim and reinstalled it on the car, all before 7am. Superb service! Thank you nick for going above and beyond. I would recommend this place to anyone!
Watt too overpriced and they don’t know how to document things they do to your car correctly and they don’t do things in a timely manner. So if you want to pay too much and wait too long and not know what exactly they’re doing take your car there but if you’re smart take your car somewhere else.
I called this firestone yesterday (Thursday) when I got off work at 3:19 to schedule a oil change. They said that the only think they had available was 2pm the next day (Friday). Which I thought would work great if they stayed true to their 1 hour time length since I had work at 4pm. My husband took my car there (Friday) and they told him I missed my appointment, it was Thursday at 2pm. Which makes absolutely no sense. So I tried to check and make sure I called the right firestone and the Manager Chris said that the number I called auto connected me to the closest firestone which again doesnt make sense since I called when I was in Yellow springs leaving my first job. Chris didnt apologize, own up to his mistakes, or even service my car right away. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I even have a credit card with firestone and I dont at all feel like a valued customer, I wasnt asking for anything free I just wanted good service and not to be lied to or accused. I will take my business and money else where.
I had horrible experience at this place. I only go here for a regular oil change, and these people cannot even do this right! They loosely installed the oil filter causing the oil to leek and I had to tighten it myself. They clearly have no idea what they are doing. Mike at the counter is not helpful at all. He does not answer your questions and looks at you like you offended him. I wont go to Firestone anymore. I recommend Midas store which is next to this place.
ABSOLUTE WORST!!! Do not go to Firestone unless you want months/years of headache.Bought my tires here. They completely screwed up and it took three days to get my truck back without so much as an apology.Had a flat and called Chris. Told him that the Firestone on Stetson Hills and Powers said they fixed it but they in fact had not. He started arguing about the location and name of the store on Powers?? What the heck? He called it by some other name. I just looked it up, no mention of that name but why was he arguing in the first place. Firestone failed to fix my flat and flat out lied about it.So now I need my truck and it has a flat tire because Firestone couldnt be bothered to fix it.Now I call and explain that I need my truck ASAP. After arguing about the name of the location on Powers, Chris has the nerve to tell me hes going to charge me for it! A) I have road hazard, B) if I didnt then I already paid once and this schmuck is going to charge me again????FLEE! Run away! DO NOT GO NEAR FIRESTONE!! It had been one headache after another. Go to Discount tire. They are usually cheaper and if not, they are a heck of a lot easier to work with.
I took my vehicle which was leaking power steering fluid. They didnt inspect my vehicle, I took my vehicle to another shop a few days later and told them nothing about Firestone. My ball joints were completely gone and my tie rod on the drivers side was bent badly, because of the safety issue. Ball joints, rack and pinion and tie rod =900, out the door. Firestone wanted 1500 plus tax for only the rack and pinion.
They price gouge their customers. I was quoted $350 for replacing one outer tie rod, that included part, labor and alignment. The AAA auto repair in beavercreek did it for $170. Also my A/C was broken and firestone was going to charge me $50 just to look at it. AAA didnt even mention money until they figured out what the problem was. AAA is now my new shop I go to and I highly recommend it to others.
You cant beat their lifetime alignment deal. It paid for itself after six months of heavy driving and getting attacked by potholes. Anyway, I took my car here because the tail light didnt work. Had no idea what was wrong with it. They gave me an estimate of $85 to diagnose it, and another estimate later on how much it costs to fix it if they figure out whats wrong with it. Turns out that it was a fuse that went out, #15a on my Honda, that another repair shop had missed. In the end, they didnt even charge me the diagnostic fee. Final costs for everything: $15. Yay!
I have been a valued Firestone customer for 12 years now and I can honestly say that this is the worst one that I have ever been to. I have lived all over the country and have visited multiple locations and have never been this disappointed with service until I came to this store. I bought my 2005 Dodge Ram here for brake service and these guys kept my truck for two days. The reason they say is because I needed a new brake booster and the ones that they kept ordering were faulty. Ok, i understand that parts come in sometimes faulty but i thought that Firestone had their own parts...but the technician informed me that this particular store orders its parts from Advanced Auto Parts, which is a head rubber to me. After two days of having my only means of transportation, the technician named Rick, not only charges me $530.00 for this service but, who by the way lies through his teeth all the time just to get you out of his face, told me that my break pedal was a little light with resistance (it actually had zero resistance) but it should be fine because he drives a Dodge too and his does the same thing. Hello!!!, my Dodge isnt your Dodge and if your truck is doing this, well, you sir, are a horrible mechanic and should be fired immediatly!! I got in my truck to start it up and notice that the brake pedal went all the way to the floor! The truck does stop, but it stops in the middle of pushing the brake pedal down which means that there is still a lot of air on the lines which means that they never bled the MASTER CYLINDER on the Brake Booster! I know this because i know my truck and how the parts work on it! Secondly, there is water now leaking from my air conditioner compressor when i start it up and i was definatly not doing that before i bought it to this location! I called the again and this time i got Rick on the phone and he asked If i could bring it back. NO, I WILL NEVER BRING ANY OF MY VEHICHELS TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN! How can you call yourselves proffessionals!? This is rediculous! At this point, I have already contacted my attorney as my attempt to reach higher managment has been unsuccessful.signed, One Very Pissed person who is fed up with the shady mechanics that this location hires!!!
Very disappointed. Worst service ever. got the estimate for my car repair which were very high so I told them i will be taking my car somewhere else and asked them to keep the hood open as it locks and doesn’t open. But as i was not doing my repairs their they intentionally made it worse. I dont know why then they are charging the diagnostic fee.
Have been friendly and helpful all the times Ive been in. Only place in Dayton that has seemed to care about customer service. Staff was courteous and efficient. Had a chance to over charge me and didnt do it (yay!) and answered questions both in person and on the phone. Very helpful!
They don’t know what they doing in this place they messed up my car. I took my car there and told them what was the problem they worked on something else I paid $480 then I told them that was not the problem I took the car there again they messed it up. Since then my car is very bad. I contacted the corporate office I told them about my experience there they didn’t care.
This place is truly terrible. I had an engine oil leak, and they said we replace the engine upper parts and as we go deeper in the engine we will see what cause this leak. They charged me over $350 and after a week there was no single engine oil left. They made my car worse. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!
Store was closed during posted hours. Scheduled an appointment via phone for the following day. Recvd email with date/time/confirmation number. Showed up on time, but store was locked up and no one working. No explanation. Clearly they had their open hours posted on the door for the day I arrived. Wont go here again.

2022-03-04Had a great experience with them today. I came in with squealing brakes. They got back with me quickly to let me know what was going on. They were honest about what was going on and didnt try to sell me things I didnt need. I have had bad experiences in the past where other places have over charged or replaced things that didnt really need it. I felt like they were very honest and quick. Price was very reasonable as well. Great experience and I definitely feel comfortable trusting them with my car in the future.

2022-05-08Very poor customer service. Very poor work quality. Guaranteed they will cause another problem with your vehicle and leave the problem and only do what you brought the vehicle in for. For example my wife’s car, she took it in for an oil change and inexperienced tech busted the oil pan and caused an oil leak and the vehicle has had all of its required services and even at a 178,000 miles has never had an oil leak or any other problem. Has been well maintained to prevent that. Very disappointed in the way the company allowed that and the way they spoke to my wife when she was upset to learn that her Jetta now had a serious oil problem. We will not go back there. Good luck if you you do!

2022-03-24My fiancé took his car there. When he was informed of the price, the supervisor refused to accept the receipt showing lifetime warranty. Claiming there was two vehicles under his name. Both vehicles were the same and the vin matched for one vehicle. The supervisor refused to take the charges off that should have been covered in the lifetime warranty. The supervisor, Chris, was very disrespectful! Contacted the customer service and filled a complaint. There shouldn’t be a charge for lifetime anything! The customer service rep was amazing but due to the experience in store that has changed the complete outlook on their services! Thanks Chris.WILL NOT EVER RETURN TO THIS STORE!!!

2022-03-15I made an appointment a day ahead so when I came in the next day for a tuneup, they say they only replace the spark plugs and that’s what a tuneup consist of.. well anyways after they do that I go to get in my car and drive home, my battery light starts flashing on and off. Mind you my battery is only four months old and never has had any issues. My car runs perfectly fine. So I called them to let them know about it and they told me to come back so they can see what’s wrong. So after they do whatever they do in the back to see what the issue is, they tell me my alternator and battery is completely done for. I found that so strange that they didn’t report that to me when I first came in but that’s because that’s a lie. The only lights I had on my car was my tire pressure light and my ABS which I’ve had them on in my car for a year now. I left there with my engine light being on due to a misfire number three cylinder after they replaced the alternator and spark plugs! I took my car to AutoZone to get a code reader and it said that my battery is perfectly fine. So now I’m questioning if I even needed a new alternator. I left there with problems I’ve never had before that THEY CAUSED and they didn’t resolve it. I came out of my pocket 700+ and left there unsatisfied and did not feel safe driving home. My car does not run properly now. It literally crushed my soul having to pay that much and my car have problems after. I feel like they took advantage of me because Im a younger girl that doesn’t know much about cars and constantly said yes to everything they said to me. 😞

2022-03-19Great if you need tires. Other than that, it’s all about money! charged me for a full synthetic oil change when i wanted/asked for a standard oil change. Told me i needed $1,400 in repairs and when i took somewhere else and asked for a second opinion, they said nothing was wrong. Never again!

2022-05-07Unbelievably horrible! They ruined my VW Jetta, they didn’t know how to get the oil pan loose and stripped it and ripped it and now it is leaking oil by the handfuls which was never an issue. The car itself has never had an oil change. Nonetheless, I will be taking them to court and the man who calls himself a manager, literally has no service or mechanical clue ever. I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO NEVER GO HERE!

2021-12-10Never deal with this store. I had an awful experience with them. First of all, I booked an appointment with them almost a week before it, then I contact them 2 hours before it to check and they told me that I have no appointment. They reschedule it for me and it was just for rotation and balance. I brought the car for the second appointment and after 3 hours they told me it is ready and I can come to grab it. When I came, I asked the front desk if the balance and rotation done. They told me that the forget to do the balance but they did the rotation. I was not having time so I told them to do the balance for only one tire. After that, I got the car and when got home, I checked they tires. I was shocked that they did not even done the rotation. The front left tire was having a scratch and it is still there at the same place. The did nothing to the car. The car was setting there for three hours for nothing. The did not do either the rotation or the balance. I was thinking that I am buying a service and quality when I got my tires from FireStone but it is not. I will never recommend or deal with them any more

2021-11-04I have never been the type of person to leave poor reviews even when i have had poor service. never seems worth my time. however, the experience that i had with this place was so ridiculous that i can not ignore it. i just bought my first car and brought it here to be inspected. i told them that my tire pressure light was on and expressed the concern i had about that because even when i filled the tires up, the light would either come back on or stay on entirely. long story short, i take it in to them and they tell me everything looks great, tires are fine etc. $90 later. a couple of days later, my tire goes flat on the highway. i take it to another place (out of sheer convenience being that it was the closest place) and they tell me that my tires are way overdue to be changed (they were almost 10 years old) and that whoever did the inspection should have looked at the date on my tires and recommended i get them changed to avoid an issue like what happened. this frustrates me obviously because i JUST had it inspected and was told no such thing. so i call firestone and let them know what happened and the man on the phone tells me that there is nothing they can do to help me and that they can’t reimburse me because they “did the full inspection and yeah” verbatim. he also tells me that the guy at the other tire place was “full of shit” and proceeds to hang up on me. the issue for me is less the actual service provided and more about the way i was treated and spoken to after the fact.

2019-07-21Open on Sundays!!! The only shop that I know of that is open on Sundays. Best to call early in the week to schedule an appointment. If you need to wait there are a couple of food places within walking distance. They also have a tv in the waiting area and comfortable seats. Coffee is also offered for the wait. They do a range of services and are competitively priced.

2022-02-13Fair pricing . 27 flat times in 29 years all but one was in repairable there…. Trusting they are honest but things that make you go hummm.Get a second opinion
