Firestone Complete Auto Care in other cities:
AVOID this place!!! Negligent mechanicsI took my car here for an oil change. The next month I noticed oil leaking underneath my car. It turns out the Firestone mechanic tightened the plug to my cars oil pan so incredibly tight that he destroyed the threads to the oil pan plug insert and caused a loose fit for the pans plug. This is why oil was leaking. The negligence of this Firestone mechanic cost me $900 dollars to replace the entire oil pan.
I will start by saying that I rarely write reviews on any businesses, for fear of sounding like a disgruntled soccer mom. However, some things about my experience here need to be addressed. Firstly, I will say that my experience with the service advisor (Scot) was pleasant. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to make sure that my vehicle was taken in at the requested appointment time. The reason for the 2 star review is this: the technician (signed Conor on my receipt). I sat in the lobby and watched as he pulled my vehicle inside to begin the seemingly simple task of oil change/filter. Upon checking the oil levels at the dipstick, I observe from the lobby as he rubs the front of his uniform shirt all over my front left fender. I now have two large scratches in my paint from the buttons on his shirt... (Summit, JEGS, and even Harbor Freight make fender covers for this very reason). I bit my lip, didnt say anything to anyone and just drove the truck home. After making the 10minute trip to my house I notice that the truck smells of burning oil. I pull into my parking space and pop the hood to discover oil spilled all around the oil fill neck, valve cover shroud, engine, exhaust manifold, heat shield, steering shaft, and even some up on top of the front radiator shroud. So, in short, I paid $75 for someone to trash my vehicle. The complete lack of consideration and professionalism absolutely blows my mind. I worked in the automotive field for well over a decade and I would have never even dreamed of treating a customers vehicle like this. I am now in a different work field and Im far too busy with my career and personal life to do some of the maintenance tasks that I would typically perform on my own, so I trusted a trained professional technician to perform a simple service procedure and this is the result... Now I have to degrease the engine bay and buff&polish the fender. The time I will have invested in doing this, I could have just as easily changed my own damn oil. Unfortunately, due to the lack of consideration on behalf of the tech, I now question the integrity of the work performed at this location and Im not sure Ill be back... I guess its back to doing my own vehicle maintenance.... My mind is blown and Im just very disappointed.
This place is a scam. My boyfriend took in his car to get it fixed. Initially they quoted a tune up, for over 1k. We said no and asked if there was any work that could be done to have this go out. They quoted 416$ and when we went to pick it up, they said 658$We never agreed to that quote and when we asked how they could do that, they advised that we can either pay it or they have a mechanic lean on it. We had to pay it we had no choice. I called corporate and was told that the regional manager Debra would call me in 24 hours. It took 4 days of me calling in to finally have this lady call me. She was so rude and condescending. She told me that she had her basement flooded and that she didn’t have time to call me and had other things to do. That she was taking the time to call. I told her she was being rude and not kind and that the customer service reps were much kinder than her to which she replied that they are programmed to that because they are “just” call center employees. I told her time and time again how this is not ok and she basically told me to add up what I had on my receipt and was pretty unbothered about my situation and more bothered that she had all these PERSONAL problems going on. I will get my difference on the amount paid, Brian or Ryan you know what you quoted josh. If you made a mistake and are trying to cover it up, then just say that. When I said I needed to speak to someone higher than her she told me well good luck it will all come back to me and I don’t have time to deal with this stuff. NEVER USE THIS PLACE!!!!!!
Well let me start by saying I feel like I wasted $1600 with trying to prevent a future break down with one of my vehicles at Firestone in canal winchester. When I came to pick up the vehicle it wouldn’t start. So it started with me getting a tune up , oil change , radiator fluid flush , 1 new tire and a strut mount install that cost $1100. I also wanted to have my starter, battery and alternator checked since the car has 153,000 miles on it. I was told that the starter needed to be replace and that would cost me another $500 but since it starts I chose to hold off until I could come up with the money. So I picked up the car after the $1100 job and noticed there is still noise coming from where the strut mount was supposed to be installed. I called Firestone Josh up and he said bring it back up there the following week. I take it up there and they mention not hearing any noise so I decide to have the starter replaced to finish off servicing the vehicle for the summer. 2 days past and Josh calls me and say the vehicle is ready for pickup. When I arrive and after I pay the $500 when trying to start the car to leave the battery is dead. So the technician tells Josh something is draining the battery and that wasn’t happening prior to me bringing the car to Firestone. Dan the technician jumps the car and walks back in Firestone without showing any concern that my car wouldn’t start. So now in order for the car to start I have to jump it off. It would have been nice if the technician named Dan would have shown some concern. Also Josh knew the car didn’t start when I picked it up and he didn’t show any concern. I’m not happy with Firestone and I would just say be careful if you ever need to visit the canal Winchester location.
Scheduled an appt online for 0730. Get there and sign says they arent open until 0800. Wait until they open and employee says they can maybe squeeze me in at noon. Not even an apology for the inconvenience. Yeah no. Very very poor customer service.Btw youve permanently lost another customer. Valvoline got us right in. All I wanted was an oil change. Truly truly unsatisfactory treatment and behavior.
Stated 3500 in repairs on brakes that where done less then a year ago , went in for abs 100. Inspection and look at aliment parts, it does need sum front end parts totalling 600. , and after put on abs system ck it is reset working fine.So they where trying to get me for almost 3k .Dealer stated to me ...
I had my car towed to this location several days ago. I explained my car would not start and I needed to find out why? They evaluated my car and told me it was my battery, power steering pipe had a leak and some other stuff totaling $898.00. I take the car home Friday park it for Monday. Monday I get in my car it doesnt start. I call, Firestone has it towed back to evaluate the issue. Firestone calls and says its my alternator! I thought thats automatically checked along with the battery and starter when a car doesnt start! Then Im told I have to pay for shop fees AGAIN and we cant use our military discount because its not a retail transaction! 😒 This is all WRONG! and Im now being charged $604.05 FIRESTONE IS SOOOO WRONG
The workers here were amazing. Got my car fixed in about 24 hours. Very friendly, very helpful, and went above and beyond for me. I loved the friendliness, the professionalism, and the customer service. I will be taking my Hyundai Santana back there for all my major car issues.
I would recommend Firestone to anyone without a doubt here in Canal Winchester Ohio. Very professional and reliable. The best customer service and reasonable prices. My go to auto shop always. They always go the extra mile to do the job right, even putting my old tires in double bags so not to mess up my interior. I bought winter tires and I love them. Scott their has been taking care of me for many years.
Ive seen these reviews and its certainly possible that I just caught them on a day that wasnt too busy, but this is the best service Ive ever had from any tire place. I got two new tires and an oil change for half the cost of what the dealership quoted...and on top of that, I walked in without an appointment. I was not expecting to be able to do that but just thought Id check. In addition to the great price (only $260 for two tires, an oil change, and for labor), they had a comfortable seating area with good free wifi. I started to get some work done while I waited and everything was done in about 45 minutes. I was very impressed. I definitely recommend this place.
Very satisfied with the price and the service I received. I had an appointment at another major tire chain that was cancelled because they didnt have enough technicians on duty when I arrived there. I was a walk in to this Firestone location. I only went in to get a quote on tires but even without an appointment they were able to get me set up and out the door in less than 2 hours with brand new tires $50 cheaper then everywhere else I looked.
Ive been a steady Firestone customer for 20+ years. I recently switched to this location because another Firestone location wasnt getting it done for me. So far the Gender Road shop has been an improvement. They fixed the previous problem and service has been what they promised. At least for now, this will be my go-to spot for work on my car.
Love this place, we get our oil changed here and have bought tires from here as well. I recommend you make an appointment. You have the ability to wait in the lobby, which is comfortable; since they know your waiting they move your car through quickly. Great ppl lace, great service.
I go here for all of my automotive needs! Mark is the manager and he is extremely honest, professional, and has impeccable customer service skills and knowledge. He will only tell you what your vehicle needs! He will not try to sell you on things your vehicle doesnt need! A perfect example of honesty and integrity!
Best auto care in town! Being located in canal it is very tight competition here being that we have a tire shop on almost every corner. They were able to get me in quick and with no trouble at all. I highly recommend making your way to firestone complete auto care for your car needs!
I normally dont write reviews but I highly recommend these guys. They are friendly, professional, caring, helpful, & affordable. So they are definitely worth the 5 stars. They always go above and beyond for their clients specially for me today. If you ever need any car maintenance i would recommend these guys in a heart beat. Thanks guys for your assistance today. I greatly appreciate it.
I LOVE this place! The only shop I will take my car for tires! Scott is amazing! Professional customer service, quality work and accurate and honest information. Their road hazard program is phenomenal! Legit got a warranty on it two years ago and here now to get a ntire replaced and it saved me 75% of the cost of a new tire!
I appreciate their honesty and transparency. They got me out 20 mins before the time he told me my car would be finished. I go here because they put pride and integrity into their work. From my experience they are not just trying to get money out of you. Ill continue to go to this location as long as theyre here.
Do not purchase wheel alignment from Firestone. I had previously purchased lifetime alignment. When I took my vehicle here after replacing the steering rack (steering wheel was off center when driving straight) they said it was too old and sitting too low on the suspension to adjust some of the alignment in the rear but they did align it otherwise. Except when I got in the vehicle the wheel was still off center! They obviously thought I was clueless mechanically as this is clearly not the case. A few days later the Ford dealership correctly aligned everything with no problem and I will not be returning here as it is not a true alignment.
I had two front tires replaced after I hit a pothole and blew one of them out. About two weeks after they were installed, there was some noticeable road noise in the cabin. I took the car back to Firestone and they determined the rear tires had cupping issues. As I bought those tires from Firestone in 2016, they were able to warranty them and provide a sizeable discount for two new rear tires. Problem fixed! Canals Firestone is an excellent service facility and Ive greatly appreciated having my vehicles serviced there over the years.
Went to firestone to have a tire repaired. They told us it could not be repaired and that since we have a awd we would have to replace all 4 tires rather than just the one. So I took the car home and took the wheel off to find that the damage was to tread blocks in and no where near the side wall. Took the tire to a different store and they patched the wheel. Saved 1,100 dollars. To me it sounded like someone was trying to take advantage of someone who may not have been willing to look else where.
For those who will not read all of this, here is the short story: routine repairs at this shop caused multiple other issues which Firestone refuses to address. Now I am out an extra $200 in diagnostic tests elsewhere and my car needs $2,000 in repairs. Now, the full story. Took my car in for brakes, rotors, shocks and a battery replacement. Picked up the car and immediately noticed issues with my power windows. Called the location and was informed by the manager (hi Mark!) that they didnt do it and it was not their fault. This is before I identified myself, my vehicle, or the repair.Drove to the shop and demonstrated the issue and they finally realized that they did do it. They didnt perform a required reset when changing the battery. Their excuse: We dont normally work on these types of cars (I have a Nissan 370Z). Then the real fun began.I soon noticed that my Bluetooth was not functioning. This is a handy feature in a stick shift. At first, I thought it might be the phone. Tried many tests and finally figured out it was the car. Stopped by the shop, roughly 6 weeks after the repair by this point, and was told they dont work on these things there. Stopped in again about a month later for something unrelated and mentioned it again. I was finally told to go to a dealership and if Firestone was responsible they would reimburse me for the repair. So I did. The bluetooth module is fried. Its a $1,700 part and the total repair is over $2,000. Diag alone was over $200.So Firestone says that this has to go through an investigation by a third party company. We filed the form and I wait. The area manager (hi Deb!) calls to say that they are not going to move forward with the investigation and I ask why. Heres where the lies began.Deb says the issues are not related. She knows this because she contacted a different dealership and pretended to be someone else and this is what she was told. She also called Nissan and they stated that the nav system would have failed too. I dont have a nav system.I asked if anyone had spoken to the Nissan certified master mechanic who inspected my car? No. Deb says that she doesnt know where I took it but doesnt trust dealerships anyway as they try to upsell people (despite having just called one?).I told Deb that I trusted this dealer and had done business there for years. She claimed that previous employees left her company and went to work at this dealer and have had lots of negative things to say about them.So naturally I asked how this is possible if she doesnt know where I went? She admits to knowing (lie 1 or 2?).So she changes tactics and says the dealer she called said to just get the part at a junkyard, its a real quick repair. I asked if anyone had explained this to the Nissan certified master mechanic that required an hour to get to the module? No response.Instead, Deb changed her attack and said they couldnt do anything because the part failed 4 months after Firestone worked on my car. I refuted this, telling her it stopped right away and I reported shortly after but was put off. The dealership did their inspection less than 3 months after the repair. Still, no one other than myself has spoken with the dealership at this point. So I convinced Deb we should start there. She called the dealer and asked if they really thought these issues were related and that the part didnt fail until 4 months later (lie 3 or 4?)I had to call Debs boss to even get the 3rd party investigation started. Moral of the story: if you want your car messed up worse than what it is and enjoy wasting 2 months of your time arguing and being lied to, then this is the shop for you!
2.5 stars. Scheduled a brake job THREE DAYS in advance, for a Tuesday even... arrived 5minutes early, and sat for 90 minutes before they touched my vehicle. Why did I even bother making an appointment??It now has been nearly FOUR hours and nothing has been accomplished at all.Being a new place, I was hoping to see some type of effort from the staff as far as timely customer service. Not many people understand the value of a REPEAT Customer, which is what I become when Im happy with the service you provide. Nobody cares anymore, this is just another chain full of drones doing the bare minimum. Would not recommend unless youre looking for typical, average service.
The absolute worst !!! My wife had a flat and was in the area. I was at work and advised her to go there since she was on that side of town and we had good experience in other locations. However at this location they are a bunch of price gouging, crooks particularly T-n-y. She was advised in order to replace the flat tire it would cost between 6 - $700. Yeah thats right six and seven hundred dollars. The mechanic explained it was because the lug nuts were stripped and the man hours involved required to remove the stripped lugs would be labor intensive. I had to see this for myself, so I left work early to go see for my self. T-n-y explained to me the labor intensive process and even had pictures to match his story. I reached out to my local / neighborhood mechanic and explained the issue he stated that was CRAZY I had it towed (120) to the local mechanic who subsequently replaced the tire for $120 FOR A TOTAL OF $240. MEN DO NOT SEND YOUR WIVES / GIRFREINDS HERE UNATTENDANT. #THEYWORKOFFCOMMISION
Broke down on interstate made it to walmart next to Firestone. Stayed the night in the truck because hotel was full. The guy at Firestone was a total dick . Would not even look at the truck til noon. It had a bad wheel bearing that needed replacing ,about an hour job. Thanks for nothing. The guy at National Tire and Battery was nice and helpful. Got us back on the road to NC in about an hour.
Made an online appointment showed up on time, (after driving 40 minutes) to get there, to be told they could not do my oil change that day. Blamed everything on being under staffed, thought this was very unprofessional. Will never try to use this business again. Didn’t try to offer any type of solution very disappointed.
Great service and great prices...and if youre lucky, youll be there the day that the Service Manager, Scott Woodward, is on duty! You can trust this informative, professional, approachable, and most courteous service manager I’ve met at any automotive care store or company!!!

2022-05-13Had the lifetime alignment done a week ago in Lancaster got all 4 new tires the other day. They got me in the very next day and honored their lifetime alignment no issues and totally took the pull out of the front end. I couldnt be happier. Thanks guys I will absolutely be a return customer if theres something I cant handle!

2022-05-15This place is fast. I was only there for an hour to get a rotation, balance, and alignment, which is much, much faster than TireDiscounters has been for me in the past. My vehicle drives much more smoothly now. Plus, the facility is very nice and clean. Good job, everyone. :)

2022-03-03First, I wish I would have read the most recent reviews before coming to this location. Clearly something needs to be done at this location, but the higher ups in the Firestone company clearly dont care.I called and scheduled an appointment for a simple oil change. I show up for my appointment and stand around for 20 minutes with nobody in the lobby to talk to customers. I see many people walking around in the shop, but nobody is acknowledging me. Finally, one of the people out there comes in to greet me. And I say greet very lightly. He was not polite by any means. He proceeds to tell me that I do not have an appointment scheduled. I told him I had literally talked to somebody the day before that assured me of my appointment. He said he didnt know what to tell me. No solutions, no alternatives. Clearly no care in the world.I went to Valvoline right down the street. Quick in and out. Polite employees. I wont be back to Firestone. The people who work there are so disrespectful. That is a clear theme through every recent review. Youd think cooperate would care about whats happening at one of their locations.

2022-06-17Just plain lazy and rude. Brought a truck in with a lift kit and at first they refused to align it. All the alignment parts are stock, but it seemed like they wanted to leave early or something. I had an appointment and everything and he kept telling me come back Monday. Not sure why, but I will tell you Chris Curtis was one of the rudest people I have dealt with in a long time. Not just rude to me, but I heard him be rude with every customer that came in. Lazy is an understatement with him and complete lack of knowledge about cars. Total joke. This place could use a good manager and get Chris out!

2022-06-20I stopped in to see if they had time to look at a front tire they were busy. The nice gentleman made me an appointment for tomorrow. Very nice & listened to me. I use to work on cars & he didnt look at me like women shouldnt know about cars. Lol

2022-04-30They fixed my car for $900 then ruined my coolant system. Started to leak the day after they had my car. Refuse to fix it knowing they caused it. Also refusing to speak to me when we call to speak to Rob. Tell us everyday he will be there at 9am. But every time we call he’s not there. Do not take your car to this place. They are terrible. And ruin other things on your car on purpose. DONT GO HERE

2021-08-09Went there for a alignment and when I left my Streeing wheel is crooked to the left and pulling to the right went back and they realigned. it still crooked and pulling they said theres nothing they can do about it and put gouge in all four of the rims with the rubber boots they use to do the alignment and said theres nothing they can do about it because we have to put them on the tires. Went somewhere else 15 minutes after leaving they showed me on the screen how off the alignment was and showed me how loose the boots are on the tires and said that whoever did it did it by pushing and turning on the boots (did it on purpose) so the other place realigned it and its perfect.

2022-02-07They do NOT honor their quotes here, probably took advantage of me being a female who just lost my husband a few months ago. I should have never told them. Also, making an appointment means nothing here. You will still have to wait over an hour before they even start the work, with a full staff.

2022-03-23Tried to rip me off for some swollen/distorted lugs. Quoted 200$. Found a small independent mechanic shop and had the work done for 50$. People please steer clear of the auto repair chain shops and find an independent mechanic
