For our Friday Night Dinner Date , I choose Fiesta Habaneros Mexican Grill & Bar on Chester Road , next to Fairfield Inn, Avon , Ohio 🇺🇸Enrique who took my phone order was very attentive and paid attention to my dietary needs .The food was excellent & so was the service .The price point is greatIt was previously called Wood & Wine roomHomely atmosphere with a friendly wait staff 🥰🥘 👍 🍱Namaste 🙏🏻
Went there on a Tuesday night for dinner at about 5:45pm and the place was already starting to get busy. Walked in and decided to sit at the bar since it was only half full. Friendly greeting from the bartender and a drink order was put in immediately. We ended up ordering the the gringa fries (excellent) and the grande quesadilla which was really good as well. Food was great, service great, very clean as well. The only quibble is the pricing on drinks. Two Jack and Cokes were $16 which is a bit steep and we’ll probably just get take out in the future.
Took my family here on a Saturday night. It was really busy, but we were seated right away. Its a large space! All of our food was really good, but the star of the evening was definitely the fresh guacamole. It was amazing and I appreciated the little bowl of goat cheese to add into it. Well be going here again, for sure.
Made a reservation almost a week to two weeks in advance, got to the restaurant and they didnt honor it, had us wait half an hour. Not so bad I guess. Hostess was also extremely rude not only before seating us, but when she called to ask us what table we would like to reserve (A high top, that we didnt get anyway). We waited 15 minutes for drinks. Another 10 to order. The food never came out. We left hungry over an hour, to almost two hours later. I called to talk to a manager after we left, and I was told I had to wait almost an hour to talk to one, so I told the host on the phone thats okay, we waited an hour for our food and it never came, so I dont mind waiting for him/her. She asked if I could give her a callback number and I told her Id prefer to wait on the phone, mostly because if they were going to waste mine and my familys time, I was going to tie up their phone lines. I was going to leave it at that, until, while I was on hold 10 minutes later, I heard another individual walk over and start speaking. I couldnt make out what the new voice said, but I could very clearly hear the hostess talking about how aggressive I was being (which I honestly was not, I didnt raise my voice, nor was I directly rude to her, I was just sassy), and calling me names. Then I got hung up on. I decided to tie up their phone lines for the rest of the night. Thank you for the wonderful experience guys! Great reflection on your owners! I just feel bad for the servers who got cheated out of tips because the hostess, and the kitchens werent being prompt. I know we werent the only table to leave without eating. I saw more than a few get fed up and leave before we did. Sorry servers! You guys were actually doing really great! Sorry for your coworkers/managements incompetence! Will not be returning.
When we got to the restaurant we were hopeful for a new Mexican place to eat at. We ordered our food and in the beginning it was good until we got half way into the meals and my mom found a long hair in hers. We told the manager and he acted like it was ours. He did end up taking $10 off the bill but I still dont think I will be going back there.
Great food. Clean restaurant. The staff was a bit slow and took quite a while to come back to our table to see if we needed refills. We asked 3 different waitresses and they didnt come back. Finally a waiter walked by and we asked for a refill and he brought it (after 25 minutes of waiting for the waitresses who never resturned).
Food was good. Took 3 times to get it right; however, our service sucked and our server was pretty much non existent. No refills, no box when offered, no offer of desert and some else brought of our check which I had to take up. I have never not tipped, this was a first.
I waited way to long for my waitress to come and take my order. I told myself if she hadnt made it there before my chips were gone I was leaving, well I had to have someone get her. She takes my order and she was a nice person, but at this point Im irritated. My order was out in 2 minutes. It was cold and as if it couldnt get any worse, something was burning in the kitchen and the smoke came out into the dining area and the smell was so off-putting that I couldnt even eat my COLD food. I would not recommend this place. Oh and every other employee in there, kept walking past my table without even so much as a hello. No one in there looked approachable.
So glad we found this Mexican restaurant. Other restaurants in the area have been raising their prices and the quality of food seems to be going down. That is definitely not the case with Fiesta Habaneros! We have been back a few times since our first visit and plan on making it or go to for Mexican night.
We had got a reservation for six pm, when we got there we had a 30 minute wait before we could even be seated. The hostess was rude to us when she called asking what kind of seating we wanted and when helping us when we got there. She saw we had a reservation and said there were people eating in the back and she could take us later, I walked to the bathroom and there seemed to be at least 6 unused tables. When we got seated, we ordered our food and it took over an hour to come, and we didnt t even get it befor we had to go. While it did seem hectic at first it later died down and there seemed to be no reason for the wait. Over all a bad experience for my family and I would never want to eat there again.
What a disappointment. 1st we sat at our booth for almost 20 mins without being recognized. When my wife went to the hostess she came n took our drink order. Then our food arrived and what a disaster. I ordered the Ohio Steak. Pictured is what the menu said it should be, along with what I recieved. What really bothered us, was we were here for the 1st time about a month ago, and had a similar bad customer service experience. We thought it could just be a bad day and decided to try again. Not sure after 2 stike outs if we are going to try a third. I will say that the manager was very polite and apologetic.
I wasnt very impressed. Its a really nice restaurant inside, but the food left much to be desired. They forgot the cheese on my food, it wasnt seasoned at all (practically tasteless), and it wasnt cooked very well. Some parts were undercooked, some were ok, and some were burnt. Also, they used a lot of lettuce to fill up the shells (burritos, tacos, and chalupas) and used little in terms of beans, meat, or guacamole. If you want quality Mexican food, maybe look elsewhere.
First off, the inside of the restaurant has a very nice, modern look to it. Doesn’t really look too much like a Mexican restaurant. But still, very clean looking and modern. We were greeted and seated promptly. Chips and salsa were just ok. Salsa was kind of bland. Chips were good and served warm. I ordered the steak fajitas and my wife ordered the arroz con pollo. Here’s where we had problems. The menu stated for my wife’s dish, that it gets topped off with Chile queso, but when we finally got our food, her dish came with very little Chile queso, which made the chicken dry. My fajita dish came out nice and hot, and on a sizzling platter. My fajitas were very bland and needed more seasoning. Also, we waited at least a half hour to get our meals. And it wasn’t even busy at all. We went on a Sunday afternoon. The staff didn’t seem very friendly or outgoing. All in all, we won’t be going back to this restaurant. We’ll go to Fairview park and hit up Nuevo Alcapulco!
Clean, spacious Mexican eatery with a large bar. I visited on Sunday evening it was very busy and unfortunately understaffed...the young man bartending was working hard trying to fill two roles-bartender and server. The menu offers a wide range of food and drinks...appetizers, dinner, burrito, quesadilla plates, and mariscos/Camerons plates. The house salsa is perfect consistency but tasteless with zero heat. I had enchiladas rancheras...nice looking plate but lacking flavor. Bar offers about 8 specialty margaritas in regular or monster size. About a dozen beers on tap.
This and Fiesta Jalapeños (their other restaurant) are my favorite Mexican restaurants and everything I have eaten from them has been great! However, I have been trying to contact them for over a half hour and the phone just rings and rings. Are they that busy that they can’t answer phones? Not happy today and they lost out
My family goes to Tex-Mex on a regular basis. This place was pretty disappointing. First, the Classic Texana margarita was undrinkable, tasted like pure sugar mix with no tequila. The sangria was below average, too sweet. The food was mostly OK, although the fajitas were excessively charred and smokey. It took a little long to come out from the kitchen compared to similar restaurants. The restaurant was clean and spacious but not much decoration. Service was passable; the waitress removed the offensive drink from the bill without being asked. The staff were friendly.
A new restaurant in the area and I decided that we needed to try it, you know help keep local restaurants open. It was good food, my only problem was that they used a cheese sauce on the enchiladas. I didnt know that so I had some trouble trying to eat it. I asked the waitress if they had a red sauce she said they alternate. So guess Ill have to call next time we we before we go. For everyone you have to go and try it, i have a daiey allergy thats why I had a problem. But it was good other wise.
Below average food. The difference between this restaurant and their sister restaurant Fiesta Jalapeno is like night and day.The first thing you notice is that the salsa has too much of a tomato taste, almost like they add tomato paste or tomato sauce. It was over-processed (left in a blender too long), lacks taste of cilantro, onion or jalepeno. When the salsa is not good, that is a very bad sign.I got the Fiesta Habanero Special and my wife got the Pick-2 with a burrito and an enchilada. The ground beef in mine was overground and like a paste. The flavor was bland. Everything else was mediocre. The house margaritas tasted good but we both had headaches the next morning after only having one (they werent overly strong). That NEVER happens.Service was great and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and had a nice ambiance (but a bit uninspired).
The service is always incredible every time I go there the food is even better the right amount of spice for everything the drinks are strong but dont taste strong 5 stars! Even the menus are of higher quality the colors on the inside for a mix of old school and modern even the music that they had playing for all hit after hit 🎯 love this place
When we arrived, it was already crowded. We only had to wait 15 minutes for a table (although there was space at the bar we could sit at). The wait staff and everyone we interacted with were very friendly. We got complimentary chips and salsa, and they were delicious. My wife got the Enchiladas, and I got the Flautas. The meals were great! Even though the restaurant was busy we never felt neglected. We would have ordered dessert but we were stuffed. We definitely will come back and try one of their other meals.
This place was awful. I ordered enchiladas. I did request a substitution ( no bean enchilada, make it a cheese instead). I got 3 cheese enchiladas instead of 2 cheese, 1 beef, 1 chicken. I inquired with the waitress as to why I didnt get the right food and she sent the manager over. He was a little difficult to understand but eventuly he went back and got me 2 enchiladas. The sauce was a completely different color. I took one bite and nearly spit it out. It was not enchilada sauce. It really was the most disgusting thing I think I ever tasted! After about 20 minutes the waitress cones back and asked if I wanted a box. I told her the sauce was wrong. Again the manager comes back over. By that point I am over it. I tell him that it was not enchilada sauce and it was disgusting. I told him I was done and not to bring me something else. I am with a small group of 4. We also witnessed the manager doing shots with customers and at one point our waitress appeared to be chewing something when she brought food to our table . I was given a $2 discount for my displeasure. I would have just rather had my meal correct and tasty in the first place though. I do not recommend.
The atmosphere was great, the drinks were awesome ( I had the octopus margarita yummy!) The service was on point and friendly but very slow moving. To their defense they were kind of busy but our order should have been taken many times over where shots and conversation with other customers came first. Then after we finally got to order our meals we waited an hour for our food to be served to us. In our frustration we left still starving and very frustrated. I would have given this awesome place 5 stars had we been more of a priority. We will definitely visit again in hopes they may pay better attention to ALL customers. Being laid back and social is fine, I have no problem with that but we were made to feel we could wait and that others were more important.
If ZERO stars where an option I would give it that! 1) I order a margarita, the glass had chip in it. That I cut myself with and DREW BLOOD! Told the WAITRESS. SHE TOOK THE DRINK TO THE BAR AND POURED IT INTO A SMALLER GLASS! TALK ABOUT CROSS CONTAMINATION DURING A PANDEMIC! ALSO A PHONE CALL TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT! I DIDNT GET AN APOLOGIE, A NEW DRINK! ITS NOT MY FAULT YOU SEVERED A DRINK IN A SEVERELY CHIPPED GLASS! 2) We asked for guacamole DIP. What we got was not even to be considered a half of an avocado in a tiny bowl for 6 bucks! 3) my husband and i got fajitas steak taco salad. What we got was a pepper salad with small amount of steak. My husband came to this place before and it was amazing! However since November, its gone down hill!
Went there for a birthday dinner for our adult children. Food was spot on brought out hot and fresh and they accommodate a group of 10 with no problems. If you are looking for a new place to eat it a great place. Prices are competitive with other Mexican restaurants in the area.
Wasnt impressed with the food at all. The servers made a mistake and brought us another tables meal. When they realized the mistake, they took the food, walked it through the kitchen and then served it to the correct table! We touched that food! It should have all been remade! When our food finally arrived, it was barely warm. I wont be back.
I rarely post anything under a 4.5 but this was SO disappointing. The positive: 1. great renovation. It feels modern and fresh. 2. The salsa is excellent. The negative: 1. The food was unbelievably bland. I had a chicken taco salad. The chicken and small amount of beans were basically flavorless and there was about a teaspoon of cheese. I added about a third of a cup of salsa and it was still bland. I am so sorry to write a negative review about a new restaurant but I really encourage management to make MEXICAN food.
We ordered take out. My wife only eats hard tacos asked for those they gave her soft which she will not eat. Weird I know but the lady likes what she likes! Then found a nice long hair in my food which was the end of my meal which was sloppy and I presentable anyway. She wanted to call and complain I said what’s the point these days. Just won’t ever go back. I have to assume if I get this service others will to and they won’t be around anyway.
My, I dont like posting negative reviews but here goes. Our experience was awful here. It was over an hour from when we were seated till we were eating. At least 15-20 minutes before getting to order our beverages. My husbands tacos came out soggy and the refried beans were tasteless. I saw many people looking for their waiter/waitress to get their bill. Now, to be fair, they are a brand new establishment, so in time things may improve, for they are terribly understaffed at present. My husband never wants to go back. I wish them luck.
The service was great. Very friendly people and they do try to accommodate. Most of the food was good. The worst item was the queso. It was like soup and was barley warm. I did tell the service and they brought it back hot buy it was still very runny. I did enjoy the decor, I thought it was elegant compared to places that have loud colors and tacky art work. When I dine out the most important thing to me is the kindness the the staff and they get 5 stars for that. I only gave 4 stars because of the queso.
The food was not great, items ordered did not have toppings on that should have had in them, waiter Paco was absolutely horrible. He was rude and not personable at all. He was staring off at another table as he was reluctantly taking our drink order. Waited 10 minutes for more chips and salsa. The list goes on. I also tried to let the girl up front know about her experience, she never even acknowledged what I had to say. She just looked at me and said Do you want a copy of your receipt. We absolutely will not be back, and as people ask us about the new restaurant (several have) I have also informed them of our experience. Its a shame because its a beautiful building, but that isnt enough.
Fiesta jalapeño in North Ridgeville is amazing. This place is also amazing. Great food. The salsa is the BOMB. Love the inside it haves modern style. Not like the traditional Mexican restaurant you see all the time (which is not bad) if I had to complain about something it would just be the music they should have a Playlist of music not off some radio app that have commercials. Also it should play throughout the restaurant not just the bar area.
The food is delicious!!! We met and spoke with co-owner Matt. He was very attentive and eager to make sure our experience was a good one. It really was! The service was great and the decor presents a sophisticated side to a great Mexican restaurant . So happy they opened in Avon!!!
Wasnt that busy, seemed like a longer wait time to get the food. Prices went up!!! Before if you were past the lunch time, you could pay extra $ 1.00 to get the lunch menu, we were there a little after 4p and had to get a regular dinner. I am satisfied with the amt of food you get for the lunch portion...so disappointed.
The food was fantastic the service was great also I would recommend this place. I passed by it every night picking my son up from work in Avon Lake and the parking lot is always packed so we had to try it today for lunch and we had a great time the atmosphere is wonderful and we had a great server we will go back again
This is not a place you want to go if you have a party larger than 4 people. They do not have the seating to accomadate 2 groups larger than 4. We went with a large party and were told 30-40 min which is understandable considering they just opened, after 1 hour of waiting we still heard nothing. I went and asked how much longer and was told that the tables were still occupied and they didnt know why they hadnt left yet but it would probably still be a while longer. Since we had already waited for over an hour at this point I let them know we would be leaving and no longer needed accommodating. Its astonishing that you only have enough seating to accomadate 2 groups larger than 4, this was not thought out well at all on their part. I cannot comment on anything aside from front house service because I didnt make it beyond that point but I can say I wont even try to go back.
Im honestly a bit shocked this place is run by the same people as fiesta jalapeño. Everything from the atmosphere to the service and food were what id expect from a no name mexican place. The service was slow, especially slow compared to jalapeño who almost always have the food out on record times. Im not sure if the chef at this location is trying a new spin on the food items but its wasnt anything like the quality we have gotten at jalapeño and the atmosphere ( while nice and modern) was very blah. A modern take on mexican with a black and white palet can be done but this lacked any character or charm. Add a pop of green or just some art work , or some music would have been nice. Copy and paste jalapeno with a modern theme. The place wasny even busy and it took forever to get out drinks. Id like this place to aucceed as its closer to my home and I like fiesta jalapeño. We would have been in and out of foesta jalapeño with amazing food by the time we got our drinks at this place. Please take the reviews similar to mine and make some changes. Really want to make sure this place stays open.
Went to this place on a Saturday night, had 7 people to sit including a baby. They had plenty of seating for 4 people or less but if you have more forget about it. U was told a 40 minute wait and I would be called on my phone, after an hour I wasnt, while waiting outside I saw an employee go get high chairs and bring them back to the restaurant, so they werent even prepared for that, for us, for anyone else that wanted to go out with a baby. I went inside to ask how much longer it would be since we had 7 people waiting outside for over an hour. The girl in the front looking like she didnt even work there with her put and bay hoodie on said well we only have 1 table to fit that many people and I dont know why they wont leave. Well that was unprofessional blaming other customers to another customer about why they cant be seated. Take responsibly and say you arent equipped to sit large parties, just say that, I would have immediately gone to Las caszuelas instead of waiting over an hour for that response. This rating is purely in regards to the front of house service and the unprofessionalism. I will also add if youre looking for a Mexican experience this is where people go to TRY Mexican food for the first time and contains no Mexican theme at all.
Im so happy this place has opened close to my house the food is amazing they have only been open for a week and i have been there twice they have a whole page of seafood to order from definitely gonna be going there a few times a month my wife is mexican and she is very picky when it comes to mexican restaurants and she says its the best mexican food she has ever had at a mexican restaurant. Anyone looking for something new and good this place is a must try after you go one time you will be hooked and you will be back matt came to are table a few times to make sure are experience was great and it was cant wait to go back keep the good food coming Fiesta habaneros and there margaritas are great to

2022-05-11The chips were warm and crispy, the salsa has a bit of a bite to it. Today I got the Steak Fajita Salad. Which I then dumped onto the plate, for better access to the cheesy goodness on the bottom. It came out hot and is still warm after eating half of it.Servers were polite and fast to bring things out. Everything was clean and appealing. I will definitely be back.

2022-01-30Enjoyed our lunch here. This location offers specials every day of the week, even Saturday and Sunday which I was pleasantly surprised to discover. I have no complaints about the service, however I would have liked our server to be more friendly and outgoing. I also was not terribly impressed with the house margarita - it tasted like Cuervo mix to me. My boyfriends signature margarita was fantastic though. Would return for another meal.

2022-03-23Updated review: Overall the food is still pretty good. The restaurant had plenty of customers since our last visit during lunch.I didnt change my rating due to the service. We started out with one waiter, but ended up with a few different ones. He also forgot our appetizer. Just not enough help. Took forever to get anyone back because they were so understaffed. The staff was very friendly!Id definitely rather visit their other location Fiesta Jalapenos.

2021-09-27We were excited to go the other night and we were very disappointed sadly. Our shredded beef items were anything but that. We literally had huge lumps of meat inside out tortillas that were very hard to bite into. The shredded chicken was the same way. My husband ordered grilled pineapple in his burritos and they did not put it in there. The manager came by and said he could make a new order for him. My husband kept trying to tell him no that was OK, he didnt want to get anything else and we would just take the check but the manager continued to insist that my husband needed a fresh order and he would make sure that there was pineapple in it this time. Finally my husband said OK because we just wanted to get out of there. We all thought everything kind of tasted the same. A bit blazay. It was very disappointing. Unlike other Mexican restaurants in the nearby area.I may give it a second chance and try again and hopefully be able to give a better review at that time, just not sure.Truly the best thing they have there is the salsa. Reminiscent of Chi Chis restaurant of the past.

2022-06-10Have ordered take out a few times from this restaurant. Food is delicious while having only ordered delivery. I could imagine how great the food is dining in. Great addition to Avon’s food scene.

2022-04-15Food is ok, they gave alot of green peppers for fajitas. The tortillas they give you was hard edges. Meat was tender. Got in quick for seating.

2021-10-26We had a really great time and the food was really good. I had the Ohio Steak and the price was on point. The chips with the queso was great as well. We also ordered a Taco Salad along with a kids meal and tostados and tacos

2021-10-12The restaurant has only been open for a few weeks and even though they were training our server, she did a great job. Food arrived quickly from the kitchen and we were both impressed with the food. Ingredients were well prepared and did not appear to be “pre-packaged” from a distribution kitchen.

2021-11-06Good food and friendly service. Theyre very busy right now, which isnt a bad thing. Keep in mind that everyone is busy these days and plan accordingly. Would definitely recommend stopping in to try them out.
