Cute little bakery on the main street of a historic area. Great service and lots of flavor selections. I wouldnt say the cupcakes were my favorite Ive ever had, but hit the spot for a sweet treat after dinner!We ordered a lemon poppy seed cake pop, salted Carmel cupcake, wedding cake cupcake, birthday cupcake, and chocolate fantasy cupcake.
I came to Fantasy Cupcake shop, this afternoon.And what do i see on the shelf???RED VELVET CUP CAKES!!!!I bought 2 cupcakes, when i gotHome? I put on some coffee,Sat down, to try my Red VelvetCup cake. OMG, you heard me!!OMG!!! SMOOOOOOOTH,VERY RICH TASTE. NOT CANDYSWEET. I called the shop up,Told the lady, Taste JUST LIKEIOWA BAKERY!!!! Fantasy Cupcake offers good service, food, and drinks. They are allergy friendly and have many gluten free options and a few vegan options. Amazing cupcakes, cake pops, brownies, cakes, and cookies. You can barely tell that its gluten free! Everything is labeled and set apart so there shouldnt be any confusion. Also, you can order ice cream on a gluten free cone!
This is my favorite place to go for something sweet. Cupcakes cookies and more.
They have very good cupcakes. Not the best but close. The shop is nicely decorated and clean. Also my dogs love there dog treats.
Adorable little shop with delicious cupcakes! The staff was super sweet and patient with me while I decided what to order. Definitely going back to try some more flavors and the other goodies they had there!
My husband and I stopped in on Thursday Dec 16, 2021 at around 2:30 pm. There was one other customer ordering a cake and at least 4 employees. We just stood there waiting to be acknowledged. After getting tired of being ignored we just walked out.
Yes, please. This place almost made me gain back the 100lb I lost.Fortunately, its a bit too expensive for that. And closed some days.But dont be discouraged by the prices, they are more than fair for what you get!These are godly perfect baked sweets. Brownies, sugar cookies, peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip... and the sugar cookies include icing, which is just, to be honest, insane. Then, get this... they sell literal icing shots. At some point you just have to throw away all pretensions am I right? Absolutely amazing. Better than... well... this is supposed to be a family review. Ill say fantasy is an appropriate word. The name is no exaggeration. Scary thing is, I could walk there from where I live. I admire my self-discipline.
I was really disappointed in the service we got in the shop. I took my 4 year old in as a congratulations, and the two employees working behind the counter were rude, unhelpful, and hurried us in and out. When asked questions about the flavors or recommendations (this was our first time in) they werent helpful.Unfortunately the cupcakes lacked flavor and have an unpleasant after taste as well.The store is clean and beautiful, which is why I gave two stars instead of one.
These are by far the most delicious cupcakes, I have ever had. The team of sisters and Leah the owner are sweet and helpful in every way! always smiling! The intoxicating, sweet smell of the bakery will pull you in and wont let you go until you buy a fantasy cupcake. Dont be upset when you walk out with, not only one cupcake, but six of them, a dozen cookies and and ice cream cone. This is truly a love relationship i have with this place! two thumbs up
I absolutely love this place. Even when extremely busy they greet people with a warm smile and a hello. While I agree that the cupcakes are A-One, the COFFEE CAKE is the absolute best ever. The servings are huge and they taste delicious. The cream cheese coffee cake is my favorite!
You step in and you see so many spectacular cupcakes and other baked goods. They also serve coffees and teas. I got a Mocha latte. I couldnt pass up on their awesome cupcakes. I got Snickerdoodle, Salted Caramel, Lemon Poppyseed, Birthday Cake, Pumpkin and Cookie Dough. You can also get extra icing. Amazing!
Fantasy is my go-to place for cupcakes, cakes, & cookies. The staff there is amazing. They are always adding new things, and they have a great gluten-free selection as well. They are so good, we are having them make our wedding cake!! Their coffee/lattes are great also. I have trouble not going here daily!
Everything in here is amazing!! They have seasonal flavors that are always fun to try and they also have their regular cupcakes that are wonderful too. My favorites are Wedding Cake, Red Velvet, and Salted Caramel. If you are ever near here you need to try it! They also have cake pops and gluten free things. AMAZING!!!
Literally my favorite bakery in Columbus! Everything is always so fresh and delicious. I just love that you can taste the freshness and the high quality ingredients that they use. I live almost 90 minutes away and Fantasy is for sure worth the drive. While the cupcakes are my favorite, the cake pops, cookies and ice cream are just as amazing. Delicious!
Fantasy cupcake is the most amazing place! Not only is it beautiful but they have amazing customer service! They always have new and awesome cupcakes and cookies! They are super fresh and their coffee! OMG! It’s to die for! I go literally everyday. So lucky to have such an amazing hang out coffee shop in canal!
I love this place. The cupcakes are great. Pretty pricy but its worth it. My favorite cakes are the caramel and cookie dough. The parking is street parking so you may have to walk. They sell doggy cupcakes and treats. So cute and not that expensive. The dog cupcakes cost me $4.00, but they have gifts for 2 for $1.00 for small dogs. The cakes were $3.00 but $2.75 if you buy 6 or more.
LOVE this cupcake store! Hard to pick out just a few of my favorite flavors since I want to devour all of them. Icing is the best Ive ever had. Shop is super, super cute & the gals are always so friendly. There are even gluten-free options & treats for the puppers :)

Very Good Cupcakes! But the customer service is only good when the owner is working. The owners daughter or family member with the darker color hair is very Rude, Sarcastic and bad for business. She was sarcastic with my mother when asking about the specials and she doesnt greet customers or seem very friendly. The new location is beautiful but when we walked in she just sat there, looking at us and said nothing at all.
The best cupcakes in Central Ohio! We get them every time we are close to Canal Winchester. If you are a red velvet fan, definitely try it!
Excellent cupcakes that are baked fresh every day with quality ingredients. Different flavors are rotated in each month, so theres always something new to try. The staff is helpful and very friendly. Awesome local business!
This is a wonderful little place to stop and get a treat. Cupcakes are always divine. And by the way if you are a lover of no bake cookies they have the absolute best I have ever had!!! I can promise youll be pleased with that one
Quaint little place. We had a very hard time finding any close parking at 6:30 pm on a Saturday and had to walk a couple blocks. They have some gluten free options (which is why we went there) but they run out quick. The gluten free cupcake was delicious, but my daughter found a hair in her cake pop.
I love this place!! My mom and I drive 40 mins from Powell Ohio just to get these cupcakes. For someone who hates cupcakes, Im always buying a six pack every time Im here. I tried their smores cupcake about 6 years ago when my mom brought one home for me and I instantly became a fan! Now my favorites are cookie dough, wedding cake and snickerdoodle. My mom lives salted carmel. I will only eat cupcakes from this place. Always telling my friends about how good this place is. Hoping they can expand and add another store closer to where I live. (Powell: hint hint 😁)
Wonderful product! Love the new store but still no parking. Had to drive around the block several times before a spot became available. If parking was better, I would have rated Fantasy Cupcake a 5 star rating.
Excellent cupcakes and gluten free options! And best customer service around! Not sure what that other reviewer was talking about, but they are lying and are just trying to make someone look bad. The people here are the nicest and kindest around.
This place is amazing! The shop is adorable, the staff is super friendly and the cupcakes are amazing! The price may seem high until you take that first bite and realize they are worth every penny! This place is easy to get to and will keep you coming back over and over!
Stopped in to see about ordering cupcakes/large cupcake for birthday.....we have been in several times and they seemed great. They were downright rude. We will not go there again. I ended up ordering from Froggys in Pickerington, they were great! As always it comes down to customer service.
First time purchasing cupcakes from here. Bought a variety- wedding cake cupcake was hard around the edge, dry and did not have a taste. Very disappointed. I hope the others are better😐

The coffee is pretty good here. For as the cupcakes. Their way over priced for the quility. $18 dollars for 6 cupcakes is a little excessive for the taste of Walmart bakery cupcakes.

One of the best little sweet shops around. We come here for seasonal flavors and popular favorites. Have a salted caramel or a buckeye and you wont regret it.
Nice place to take the kids or pet for a special treat. Very clean inside and welcoming. Only suggestion is for the staff to be more engaged in helping with selections suggestions. There are lots of goodies available.

Good cupcakes, but staff is very rude no need to complain because the owner was there and they were as rude as the staff our group wont be back. Key word say at least thank you to your customers that spend their money in your store if it wasnt for customers you would be thier!
We tried a variety of treats here and all were fantastic. From their cake balls to their cupcakes, everything was delicious. We will be back.

2022-03-30Was very excited to stop at Fantasy Cupcakes after reading the reviews. Maybe it was a bad bake day or leftovers. But all 4 of our cupcakes were so hard, dry & not very flavorful. You can see the overdone ness (My daughter did say the chocolate was good) This can’t be the norm or others wouldn’t rave about them, right?!? The store was super clean & cute! Loved all the local products sold. Hopefully it was just a bad batch of cupcakes. 3/30/22

2022-04-16We drove from Northern Westerville for gluten free Easter cupcakes & a gluten free breakfast box that I pre-ordered. I also called ahead & requested for 4 various gotten free cupcake flavors to be held so we could try them. Pics included. We also share GLUTEN FREE tres leches cake & gluten free/ vegan chocolate cake. Husband had a strawberries & cream deluxe milkshake & couldnt believe how good it was. We were floored by the GF tres leches. Everything was fantastic. The service was even better. We will be back once we eat our way thru & burn all these calories.

2022-01-25This cupcake shop is such a little gem of a place in this small town!!!Traveling for work affords me the joy of trying so many new restaurants and bakeries and this place is a new favorite in Central Ohio.The cookie dough cupcake is LOVE, the red velvet is LIFE.As someone who tries to be gluten free as often as possible, the gluten free options were UNBELIEVABLE!Don’t walk, RUN to Fantasy cupcakes!In the time of supply chain issues and other small business struggles, they are churning out excellent quality cakes and KIND attitudes!

2022-06-17They were amazing! The cake pops are extremely delicious, and so was the (dragonfruit) lemonade! The chocolate milkshake was out of this world tasty with the chocolate fantasy cupcake! The cream on the cupcakes was very smooth! I would really recommend going there!

2022-01-28Such a cute shop in downtown Canal, loved the vibe walking in! We made it around 5pm and they close at 6, so that was our bad. For sure missed out on some selection but everything we managed to snag some peanut butter cookies that are majorly soft, as well as a cupcake each!

2018-04-11What a super cute little cupcake shop! We stopped in today while waiting for my boyfriends parents to meet us for dinner and wandered into this adorable little shop. The staff was super friendly and the cupcakes and cake pops were adorable! We ended up getting cake pops and his mom a cupcake once they arrived! The wedding cake cupcake tasted amazingly like sugar cookie and the cake pops were to die for. I highly recommend the raspberry! So creamy and moist!
