I fell so bad for clerk.She alone was operating the whole store. No breaks for bathroom or eat/ drink. She had to close store just 5 minutes to run to the bathroom. Thats when I asked questions. Why is she only worker. She said all the people that get hired the Dm takes to different store and they dont have enough employees. They need at least 3 people. 1 to run register, 1 to stock, and 1 to help and relieve both. The West Broad location looks terrible. Boxes everywhere. This company, not the manager or clerks, need to get them help. Even if it is closed for a week to get it up and running. The health department needs to look at this place and so does the insurerers.
Came in for pistachios and couldnt find. Asked at register and they quickly helped me find and were nice when I checked out.
The employees steal bags from the customers and the entire store feels like death. If youre sensitive to energy DONT go here. This store literally sucks the life out of you.
It is ok I truly believe that some of their items are overpriced but sometimes I catch a good deal!☺ Sometimes the staff is really nice other times they can be jerks! At this particular one they have such a high turnover.
The store was disgusting it was dirty merchandise was everywhere just laying in different places all over the floors the people are nasty to me and me being handicapped I couldnt get to the car they just it just was nasty but I will never go in again Winters upsetting because the Family Dollar that I go to at Hague and Sullivant is completely clean all the time and I enjoy shopping there
Im very disappointed in this store, ever since the new management has taken over... I just was in there today and that store is trashed, theres clothes on the floor, theres on the floor, things in wrong places, I think from now on I will waste my gas and drive all the way out to Walmart to get my things from now on...Sorry NOT Sorry...
Not crowded, stocked on certain items but some not. But we found what we were looking for.
That place was a mess things junked up all over the place. Lady said she didnt have time to clean it no help.
The same as all Family Dollars. There was a loud high pitch squeal that kept going off while I was in the store.
Very disappointed ! Tried to go in at 1:30 today and their doors was still locked lights on though

2022-04-27Would have given them no stars but couldn’t. Had to drive all the way to west Jefferson to get a refund on some solar lights that the store mgr Carissa says are electronics and would only allow a exchange in the electronics department with a receipt. West Jefferson store had no problem said they were lawn and garden. I’ll never buy from that store again. And I did call their corporate office for having to go out of my way and spend gas as high as it is. Thanks Carissa

2022-04-15This is honestly one of my favorite stores. I can go here for food, drinks, household items, and even to buy things for my car. It literally has it all!

2019-03-28Shocked!! How does this place stay open?? Every shelf empty except for items put there by customers. Couldnt walk down aisles because of boxes on floor and stock in the middle of it. I can go on but after posting this review, I will NEVER shop this store again. Sad you cant find employees that take pride of their workplace!

2018-11-27Not sure what happened today. It was just after 5 pm today...wanted to run in &look for a couple Christmas decor items. Pulled on the door handle that was marked to pull (please use other door was posted) & it was locked. Soo naturally I tried pulling on the door not to use. Locked as well. Inside the store, all lights were on, customers were all over the floor. Guy at register checking out a customer. He seen me, mouthed the words were closed to me. ??? Sign said closes at 10. Strange. Based on other reviews, maybe he was by himself & needed a break. Sad.

2019-12-31The blond cashier or Manager dont know. Has horrible customer service skills. When I was leaving I said good bye. She just scowled and stuffed her face with some chips and turned her back. Hope she isnt training any new people.

2016-10-25I just had to wait ten minutes before I got help. It was about twenty minutes before closing and all I wanted was something to eat after a long day. They have a ring for service bell that I rang many times over the course of my wait time. Finally someone way in the back heard me. Apparently all the employees were outside hanging out and talking to some people and telling potential customers coming up that the store was closed early. They apologized and all for their terrible customer service, but I was very annoyed. Naturally, they had the time to tell me to put my school bag behind the counter on my way in, but if they really cared about theft that much maybe they wouldnt have just left the store completely unsupervised for so long.

2018-06-11I’m a student who studies at the close by library frequently and I decided to walk over to this store with my backpack to buy some highlighters.Tell me why the cashier greets me and as I’m walking away, then she yells at me to leave my backpack in the front of the store? Mind you she shouts this while she’s ringing out a long line of customers. I have never been so humiliated in my life. Then she says, “I know it’s a stuggle.” I feel that I was profiled, being that there were women with larger bags shopping in the store....I’m furious and disgusted. I will never set my foot into this store again. And you shouldn’t either...heads up.

2017-10-31I live close by so i frequent this location. Usually customer service is acceptable and the employees are cheerful and welcoming. Last week i went in with my kids simply to grab soap i had forgotten to grab earlier. Not only did the cashier Tori not greet but she stared at my children in an almost evil manner. I had to break the stare by saying hello, then another older white lady with grey hair came out from in between aisles and did the same exact think. Im white, my kids are mixed with black. Ive dealt with the stares of older closed minded people plenty of times but this time made me decide not to come back. I drive 4 miles farther just to go to a different family dollar now.

2020-07-21This location was clean and organized. Easy to find what youre looking for quickly. There were only 2 staff that we seen. The lady that checked us out was not very friendly.
