Positive: Room was clean.lady at check in was nice. Negative: Breakfast selection was less than expected. Breakfast lady was rude to me.im not your child im over 50. sofa in lobby was filthy. tv didnt work cable was unhooked.not much in walking distance.
When we first walked in the clean smell was prominent and that was a positive. Nice and clean. Our room was clean and comfortable. Location was close to food and shopping. Breakfast served and we were in our way. We slept comfortably and soundly. We will def stay at a Fairfield Inn again. 💕

Nice size room that was clean when we arrived and quiet during our stay. Not sure why no one cleaned the room during our three day stay. Breakfast closes too early on weekdays. Most hotels have it open until at least 9:30, but they close down at 9AM. We had breakfast one day and it was good. We got there at 9:10 AM on another day and were told breakfast was closed.
We were pleasantly surprised by this place, especially after booking it on an Express Deal through Priceline. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-decorated. The staff was beyond friendly, as well. The pool was small and cold and there was, sadly, no hot tub, but that was really our only complaint. The bed could be softer, but obviously you cant please everyone :) We will definitely stay there again.
The check in was great. The room was clean. However when my friend who booked the room (Sheree Campbell) asked for two more towels and two more washcloths she was asked if we used the ones we had in the room. She was told the policy is to have guest bring their dirty linen and exchange it for clean ones. I wasnt okay with that.I called and I was told different things. First she said the inventory was low then she said the hotel was sold out;then she said items were on back order. I let her know that I didnt want to use the same washcloth for my body and my face. She told me that I could get the towels and wash cloths but if any were missing she would charge the room!. I didnt appreciate that. I had no intentions of stealing and for her to imply that is offensive.I tried to tell her thanks but she hung up. I went to get the items and took one wash cloth (in a bag) but she didnt even take it. I would consider staying here again..I would bring my own towels and washcloths
Our stay was just one night, but the front desk was friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable. The coffee & breakfast was just fine to get us up and moving. Check out was easy Peasy and the wifi was spot on. We will be back for sure as we have family nearby.

Checked in and was given room 208. The room smelled like Cigarettes and Heavy Cleaner like they tried to cover the smell. I tried to call front desk however the phone had no dial tone and upon further inspection had no telephone wire plugged into the back. Went immediately back down and requested another room. The clerk who just checked us in very rudely asked HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE ROOM. We had just checked in and walked away for barely 5 mins. She then agreed to move us across the hall.Once moved the new room smelled fine so we settled in. Went to dinner and then came back to make coffee in the room since the lobby said they dont make coffee and offered to give us pods instead. We get back to the room and the coffee maker was absolutely filthy from the previous who knows how many renters. Pictures available upon request! Absolutely disgusting and in addition the trash had no bag.To be honest I feel like since we used points to pay that we were given a subpar room. This is not the standard I have come to expect from Marriott

Not happy with the communication and service between the staff due to housekeeping not being done during our 5 night stay. Room was clean once . I had to bring my own dirty towels and garbage done in order to get clean towels and wash clothes. I Complained but still happened and I never got housekeeping done. Most of the Staff was friendly. Breakfast ladies super nice, well one of the ladies was super nice, love her smile! Need more employees like her.
Spacious room and bathroom. Quiet comercial not very trafficked area. Very clean. Good hot breakfast (eggs, sausages, fruit, waffle, muffin, cereals, bread, bagels). Friendly and professional staff. My room had a very noise fridge!! Good mattress and towels.

I was booked to stay at the Fairfield inn in south Akron. The first thing I do is take a flash light and check everything. Immediately, I pulled back the mattress and I saw black specs on the skirt, I moved the skirt around and found bed bugs and bed bug eggs. The lady at the front counter came in and took photos and recorded it. Ill never go back.
This Fairfield Inn and Suites is one of the cleanest places we have stayed at. We will definitely stay there again. The breakfast staff were great. They made sure all visitors the breakfast bar sanitizied their hands before approaching the food. The food was plentiful and always hot and being refilled.The cleaning and front office staff were wonderful. Always saying hello and asking if we needed anything.

Front desk staff was very friendly and did their best to assist even while being short staffed. They were fully booked during our stay. Beds were comfortable and clean. Food was plentiful and coffee didnt run out. Two things that could be improved: waiting an entire day for some needed items (toilet paper, washclothes) but we got the extra just in time, and seeing other peoples hair around the bathroom.
The room was clean and beautiful! The staff was the best ever..the front desk, housekeeping and the lovely breakfast ladies. We stayed longer and will always come here for future functions in this area. Didnt get to use the pool but it looked great.
We enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was good. Appreciated the Covid precautions that was used. King room was spacious and clean. There was a Fridays right next door that we went to for dinner. It was also very good. Also there was a Mexican restaurant within walking distance and a movie theatre. Would stay there again if ever in area. We were there for the Bridgestone Senior Golf Tournamant which wasnt far away.
Getting to the hotel was fairly easy, plenty of places to eat near by and stores if you need to pick anything up. The over all hotel was a normal everyday hotel, not overly expensive. The look wasnt extraordinary, but up to date. The cleanliness was about the same; quick cleans and noticeable missed areas but nothing horrible. The staff was average, we had questions about a hold the was charged to us and the desk person made us feel scolded for not knowing what the hold was for.

This was our 4th stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Akron South and like our previous 3 stays it was WONDERFUL!!! Our room was super clean and the bed was soooo comfortable. In fact the entire hotel is kept totally clean. Shirley at the Front Desk was awesome! I called with a last minute request and she made it happen. I have and will continue recommending this hotel to all my family and friends.
Absolutely loved it! Had a suite that was like a small apartment. We were super comfortable for our whole stay. They could do a better job cleaning frequently touched surfaces, but overall the hotel was well maintained and clean. We arrived early and didnt realize how early it was before check-in time but the staff was so accommodating and our room happened to be ready so they allowed us to check in early, we really appreciated it after traveling all the way from NC. Very nice staff throughout our stay. Will definitely be back!
We checked in yesterday not wearing a mask and were not advised of any COVID restrictions as far as masks or our rooms not being cleaned via texts, in personal, or email. We arrived today and got harassed for not having mask when walking to our room (when we have no problem wearing a mask we just didn’t know we needed one) and then returned to and uncleaned room with no new towels.
The entire staff from housekeeping to the breakfast servers were super friendly and helpful. This was our first time staying at a Fairfield Inn and Suites and I will stay here again. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was more space in the room then some other hotels I have stayed at. There was a variety of breakfast items to choose from as well.
Bed and pillows need replaced ASAP! They were very uncomfortable...and felt old! But, the staff were excellent (friendly & attentive)! Also, the complimentary breakfast was really good...including the hot items!
I checked in very late after traveling all week for work and then sadly, arriving at Fairfield Inn & Suites Akron South for a funeral. The check-in representative was understanding and immediately provided an available upgrade. I was cheerfully greeted at breakfast by all workers with one even complimenting my outfit. All questions were answered professionally and all employers displayed a sense of enjoyment about their work. What an impressive culture of superior service!

Hotel located next to a main road full of restaurants.Rooms:Dbl bed: (2nd floor): cute, clean, offered makeup wipes.King: (1st floor L) room had a stench , tried to open door, sprays, coffee, and running an empty bath with scents but the smell didn’t go. Room was clean though. Air didn’t work well and room stayed stuffy and kind of hot.Studio Suite (2nd floor L):Clean to the best ability; curtains and bathroom curtain didn’t look like theyve been cleaned. One curtain was broken off and hanging. Bathroom Didn’t offer makeup wipes like I hoped. Over-bed sheet had blood stains (you can tell it’s been washed multiple times) hidden under the quilt. But other than that the room was clean and looked nice for the price!Conclusion: I’d recommend the stay, but I’d also recommend to look at the room before you accept because some rooms are better than others. I liked the quietness and feel of the place, very relaxing and staff are easy to talk to. Hope this helped!
I stayed hotel this hotel for one night and the hotel location is good and building and room are clean but it has a couple of issues.First, it was an outdated property and definitely needs some update in the room and some common areas. Also, most of the staff members are kind and nice but one lady (working between 5pm-11pm) needs extra training for taking care of the guests. Even though I already informed them that I will stay with an additional guest, she said it was not on file and didnt let my guest in the room and make the guest wait outside for 2 hours at 10pm. I dont think it was the best way to treat their guest. I believe she can do a better job.
Lobby nice and fresh, updated, however our room was worn. We found a half eaten piece of licorice on the bed when we checked in. Room had coffee but no coffeemaker, sorry we are out of them The room did not have a hair dryer, front desk had to hunt one down nor did they have shampoo sorry were out
Another guest’s used, hard and dirty wash rag was hanging on the shower curtain bar, lights not functioning in the bathroom, hotel was out of bottled water, room coffee maker was broke, never received the extra wash cloths or towels that I requested. Will never stay here again. Advised front desk of all issues - given an apology.
We had an absolutely incredible experience at the Fairfield Inn and suites Akron South! We were in town for a college swim meet at University of Akron and the staff was the best! Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. We will definitely be back!
My daughter and I travel for work and we choose the Marriott because of the amazing service that we get. Every morning when we get off work there is always breakfast prepared by these amazing girls. Everything is so clean. I recommend this hotel over any hotel in that area. Hands down a 10 out of 10

Everything was great except room placement. Request a room away from the highway. We did and they accommodated us without any problem. The rooms were clean. They had a Keurig for coffee. Ironing board and iron worked great. You can log into your own Netflix or Amazon service and remove your credentials before leaving. Cleaning attendants gave you what you needed when asked (COVID cleaning practices in effect). Husband did the breakfast sandwiches and wrapped pastries, I had fruit and milk. He was happy, as was I, with the choices for breakfast.
Room smelled like smoke. shower curtain did not come all the way down, so bathroom floor was covered in water. no cleaning service despite specifically requesting it twice. Fight outside my door at one in the morning. Police were called. Complained to management… Nothing done. Just offered a voucher on my next stay at that specific property. I will not be coming back.
It was good for the price. Just dont expect a topnotch, modern room and youll be fine. Theres a TGIF Fridays right behind the hotel and a Regal movie theater in walking distance (behind Fridays).
Room was so nice! Very clean. Had the king spa suite. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend and will stay again.
Stayed a night and was happy with all aspects of the stay. I liked the room arrangement, and pleased to see peanut butter with breakfast. The to go food was plentiful in addition to other items on the bar. I had a neighbor who was playing LOUD music. Someone called the staff twice that night about this guy. They quieted him down right away each time. So, thank you for that. Overall, I felt safe and comfortable there.
The woman at the front desk was very friendly and remembered why I was in town at check out, which was impressive. Breakfast was very good. The room and hotel were clean but in need of some maintenance.
Room had stuff from previous people in it, no hand sanitizer anywhere, elevator had an awful smell... however, the lady at the front desk made me and my son feel so comfortable. She was amazing

This was not at all what I expected. Booked a king but was given two full size beds. The room smelled a little weird. There were ants in the room. No hair dryer although front desk got me one. And the coffee machine was broken. Why even have it in the room still? The staff was friendly though.
The room was very nice for the amount that we had to pay for the room. Everything went well for the week that we stayed there.I only issue was the bath towels were quite small. THe hotel was kept up very well. No issues with noise in our room

My recent stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites South Akron was a great experience. The staff was friendly, courteous and efficient, getting me checked in and to my room without incident. My room was very clean and in excellent condition and the hotel amenities, such internet access, workout room and breakfast station, was very appreciated. This was my 2nd stay at this hotel and I will definitely be staying there again next time I am in town.
The room was spacious and comfortable with two queen beds. Keurig type coffee pot with 4 complimentary servings, cream and sugar included. Mini-fridge and microwave worked. Excellent breakfast choices. The staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was ok but par at best. Faucet in bathroom had soap residue covering it and there was hair in shower but bathroom was otherwise clean. Room was climate controlled by thermostat although upon pulling reusable filters from wall unit they were filthy and in need of cleaning.
Hotel was so quiet at night inspite of being fully booked mostly with college students. Room and bathroom were clean and the food was better than other hotel breakfasts. Very satisfied.
Good customer service. The water pressure in the shower was good and consistent water temperature levels. However I think sleeping on the floor would have been softer than the bed. The walls are pretty darn thin. We were beside a room that blared music from 8 PM until sometime after 4 AM. The staff were able to get the occupants to turn down the music to a dull roar at least.
This hotel was great! I didnt catch the girls name but whoever worked on New Years Eve 2020 was super friendly. I got there really late, like 2:30 a.m. or something. I didnt have any toiletries and she hooked me up right away. The room was very clean and the staff was super cool. Ill definitely stay here again

The best part was the price. I hate overpriced hotels especially when you just need to sleep and leave. This place is perfect!

WOW.To Miss Shirley at the front desk....The bed was comfortable.The shower was HOT and clean.To the young lady handing breakfast baggies....I am very pleasantly pleased.The hotel common spots were CLEAN and smelled fresh.We were in town for a softball event and needed a later check out, and it was no issue to accommodate a later leave time.5☆s from someone who spends half her summer in hotels because of softball tournaments .Thanks So Much
This was a great hotel! I found it entertaining that when I entered my room the television was already on and greeted me with my first name on the screen. The first night I noticed the sink was draining slowly. When I brought it to the attention at the front desk I was offered another room which I declined but they were quick to repair the issue the next day while I was at work. The entire staff whether it be early morning or late evening/overnight were pleasant and very helpful. They do offer breakfast even during Covid season. It was provided in bags in the morning by the sweetest most pleasant ladies and I found it extremely convenient on my way out the door for work. This location is adjacent to a TGI Fridays which makes it convenient if you want some place to sit down for dinner without going too far.One more thing I should mention is that they provide complimentary laundry detergent at the front desk for their in-house laundry room. That was a huge plus for my long stay.
The staff at this hotel was top notch! Every single person I encountered was amazing and friendly! The breakfast at this place was amazing! All full up until the very end! My room was dated. Wall paper was peeling off in the bathroom, the outlets were older, the vent in the bathroom was dusty and old. The AC in our room smelled like mold. The pool was so fun for our kids. On the smaller side but wellKept!

Ms Shirley at the front desk was so friendly and funny. Her warm smile and jokes made our stay wonderful. She held conversations with my family each day. She made our stay so enjoyable. As all the staff at this hotel did. The cooks that made our breakfast each day. To the housekeepers who made sure our room was clean and if we needed anything each day. I was surprised at how pleasant it was for the price. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I got up in the morning and exercised in the (small) fitness center then had a great breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs and other options. Check out was fast and easy.

Myself, wife, and daughter, have stayed at this hotel about a dozen times in the past 20 months. I love this hotel. Every aspect is great. First, is the staff One of my favorites is Sherily. She goes above and beyond, making me and my family come back. Second is the smell of the hotel. It is so clean! The breakfast in the morning is an additional plus. Again, the ladies that run it are so sweet, they make it thier mission to help you get what you want, they are wonderful! So, if you want a great hotel at a fair value, this is your hotel!
I have health issues and counter staff was rude because I was not wearing a mask. Yet there were other guest how were wearing a mask that was hooked in their ears but not covering face. Bed waa very uncomfortable. Bare got any sleep. Found a dirty towel and washcloth in bathroom. And the room was so cold had the turn heat up to 78 just to get to comfortable. Everytime the heat came on it blew cold air for 5 minutes before it would get slightly warmer.
Very pleasant stay. The breakfast crew was outstanding and the breakfast was very good. Wish the room could have been cleaned but still following Covid procedures.

This is a beautiful newer hotel property with a jazzy modern vibe. In-room amenities include among other things a clever rollout desk that tucks neatly under the wall console and a very modern bathroom. The decor is beautiful. Our room and the public rooms were very clean. Breakfast was better than average and the little waffles are a must-have! We would definitely stay here again!
I had a nice stay with Fairfield Inn. The front desk was very kind and was very accommodating even upgrading my room. The room was inviting and quiet, I was able to get a good nights rest. The maids were very nice as well even saying hello. Its definitely nice to feel appreciated. I felt very welcomed at this location. I didnt get the chance to have breakfast so I cant comment on that. If Im back in the area I will stay with them again.
The service was absolutely wonderful! The ladies that helped out with morning breakfast were such wonderful ladies as they were so kind and generous. They wanted to make sure that you were as comfortable as you can be, and had everything you needed to have a wonderful morning breakfast. They treated everyone so well and made sure that everything was perfect. The people at the desk were so nice and so helpful when needed. The whole staff are this hotel was wonderful. The cleaning ladies were so nice & did a wonderful job. I canr thank the staff enough for a wonderful stay. Would definitely stay here again next visit. Would definitely recommend.

My husband, 8 month old, and myself came to town for a wedding! We had a great stay, staff was so kind, and everything was clean! Breakfast was great and felt very Covid safe
We stay here often, and have never had a bad experience. However, this past stay wasnt the best. The room just wasnt up to the same level as prior stays. Slight smell, which we looked beyond. Cleaning was the best, again we looked beyond. But the hot water was an issuse. I went to the front desk to report. It was reported to housekeeping immediately, however housekeeping stated that they knew the issues and to let the water run for awhile . It was warm at best. Again, the lady at the front desk was great, she offered us to transfer rooms, however we just didnt have the time at that point. It would have been great to have been offered some money off our stay but that wasnt offered. Also, the hot tub vanished from the pool area!
This was my absolute worst experience ever staying at a hotel. It was my wedding night and my guests were kicked out of bed while they were sleeping for a noise complaint. I could see asking people to keep it down or throwing out offenders that were making the noise and refusing to keep quiet but asking people to leave that are sleeping is inappropriate. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that would be staying in the area. The customer service is also very lacking when attempting to discuss the situation I was sent to a complaint center that wasn’t even in my time zone. Oh Marriott, I really thought you had a better business than this.
Second time in a row Ive stayed at a Marriott with a TV that doesnt work. Its nice there are all these extra channels, but only if the TV actually works.

Very friendly staff here, along with a clean and comfortable room. Our fridge was quite a bit larger than I expected, good microwave, and a Keurig in the room. I wasnt planning on using the hot tub, but it is permanently closed. The hotel sent me an email prior to my stay to let me know, which was nice. I would stay here again.
The hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was excellent and well maintained by the friendly ladies. Checked in by Morgan I believe was his name. He was very welcoming and helpful. Every staff member was certain to greet the guests when they passed. Now thats excellent customer service! We enjoyed our weekend in town very much!
The standard room at this hotel provides a clean spacious room with microwave/fridge, good internet (for business use) and plenty of desk and table space. The beds are firm, which is to my own liking. Bathrooms are well kept with a tub/shower. Breakfast staff do a great job and front desk personal are very pleasant. Fitness center looked very good with 2 treadmills, an elliptical and free weights. (Didnt get a chance to use it like I normally do.) For a simple overnight, this is a great choice.
We stopped while traveling from the south to the north. Last minute decision to stay in South Akron and what a wonderful surprise finding this Fairfield Inn. Just a wonderful hotel at a VERY reasonable price. The hotel was in immaculate condition, room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was a added treat. Well stocked and just the right amount of selections to eat and then hit the road. The staff (front desk) attendant excelled, she was pleasant, knowledgeable and just a joy after 10 hours on the road. The morning staff was just as nice and pleasant. We had a wonderful stay.
We travel a good bit and stay at a lot of hotels. I put this hotel right up there at the top of our list. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally nice. Everyone that worked at this hotel that we came in contact with was friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious and had a great selection. I highly recommend this hotel!

Interesting hotel. Honest staff. Hot water issue informed of up front and resolved by the time I got back to the hotel in the evening. Rooms very nice and location right by I-77 so ease of access is good. Bed comfortable with extra blanket in the closet a nice touch for this Georgia native. Fridays next door and free complimentary breakfast nice touches. You can tell this building interior had an update and it works well. Bright and cheerful.
Traveled for work. Place was amazing Ty and D the manager were EXTREMELY helpful and polite. Room was fresh and clean. Very friendly maid . Upgraded t.v. allows link to Netflix amazon and other services. Computer resets your info when you check out. I double checked really impressed with everything.
Stayed here 2 nights on a personal family visit. Everything was wonderful. Nice, clean room, comfortable bed with a multitude of pillows, My last trip I stayed at a Springhill suites and the heater was as loud as a freight train nd I could hardly sleep! Not here however, very quiet. All the employees were very efficient and friendly, especially the 2 girls on breakfast duty. Also a good location near a number of nice restaurants. Would stay here again for sure.
The staff was rude. There was not any towels left in the pool area and when we asked for some the staff got irritated and was rude because they said they had already put some out. Well we werent the ones that used up all the towels. Since they didnt bring anymore down to the pool after we asked and waited in the pool area our kids had to just walk back to our hotel room freezing. Overall the staff was not very friendly and they seemed like they hated their job. I will never go back. I dont want to forget to mention that the pool felt like we were in something that was the size of a bath tub. If you plan on swimming there you better hope nobody else is in the pool because you wont have room
We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago for an event. We had the opportunity to come back to the event and we didnt hesitate on where we were staying. The Akron location has the friendliest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel before. Highly recommend! The breakfast ladies are the best! They opened early and had everything ready so our girls had a great breakfast before their long day!
We checked in late and left early, but it was a great stay. Hotel was comfortable and quiet. Bed was cozy, room was great!! Staff was superior. We really are glad we stayed there and the price was really reasonable.Only downside: No Hot Tub. Too bad, because that is always something we look for...

The hotel was really nice in appearance. The decor was all updated and the layout of our room was great. We opted for a king room with a whirlpool tub which fit two people and the price was amazing for what we got. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was standard, but tasty. It was a very relaxing stay after having been on the road for 10 hours. I would highly recommend the Fairfield Inn & Suites to anyone who needs a good place to recharge on a long trip!
Front desk personnel were very welcoming when we arrived, we made the reservations on-line, using points, just an hour before we arrived. The breakfast staff and cleaning staff were the most friendly and helpful hotel personnel that I have run into in a long time.Checking out was a breeze with front desk personnel in the morning too. Absolutely had a great experience.
I had a great experience. I booked my room and a week in advance the hotel manager called me specifically to ask if there would be anything else that they could prepare/have ready for when I arrive back from the airport. Also, when I checked in, the gentleman up front gave me a water bottle free of charge for my nights stay. The room was clean and well kept. Everything was impeccable service and staff was really friendly!Ill definitely be back.
I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent and professional staff. Our room was freshly remodeled and super clean. Even though the breakfast area wasnt opened until 7am, the staff was so kind as to make sure had everything we needed. Every staff member we encountered greeted us with a warm smile and a kind genuine greeting. I absolutely would stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to the area.
Have stayed at this location on a annual basis for about 8-10 years. Always a pleasure. Nice room, good breakfast, excellent & friendly staff. Shirley at the front desk is great! she works long hours but is always upbeat & treats you like family.

At least from the night I stayed, the front desk has good demeanor, the eggs at breakfast was done right, the dining area was clean with the proper condiments, beds were clean, bathroom could be a bit more updated, and the room is just right. The only problem was the shower head, which was black and gross. The towels needs to be renewed.
We visit the Fairfield inn Marriott South often, because my friend and I both have sons that attend the University of Akron. After a 5 1/2 hour drive from Chicago, its always nice to be warmly greeted. The staff remembers us and are always friendly and helpful. The breakfast offers a nice variety and the cookies and water at the front desk are a hit with us! The property is always clean inside and out. The only downside is that the beds could use an update, as some are not as comfortable as other Marriotts; but their service is impeccable! The staff from this visit, that went above and beyond were Dannika, Shirley and the Manager, Brittany!
I travel often for work and this is hands down the greatest service I have received. I was there for business and sick. The staff offered to bring me hot tea to my room and also gave me an upgrade for a very simple misunderstanding. The breakfast staff greeted me with smiles and were so accommodating. The hotel is clean and beds are very comfortable. This is the place to stay in Akron.
The staff at Fairfield Inn & Suites were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, and the staff kept everything well stocked. They even made waffles for us. The pool was small but the pool area was kept very clean with plenty of towels available. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area. There is also a TGIF restaurant right next to the hotel and a Regal cinema within walking distance of the hotel. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

My stay provided the best time for me to complete the business I needed to accomplish and space for family to enjoy the pool with me. The business professionals that met me there were treated with respect and accommodated with use of the computer and printer. Staff helped me finish work I could not have finished easily had all the tools not been available in one place.Thanks staff and Ill be back.

Its not the newest hotel. But it consistently is clean, the staff truly care about service, the breakfast is staffed and selection full. For instance, I stay in Marriott hotels dozens of times a year but this is the first time a hotel looked at my profile request for extra pillows and had them waiting in my room for me. Everywhere else I have to ask. That keeps me coming back every time Im in NE Ohio.
This was the best hotel experience Ive had in a long time. The front desk staff were wonderfully helpful and even offered us a free upgrade on our room. The rooms were large, quiet, and very comfortable. We always love the premium bedding at Marriott. Breakfast had so many choices! Fresh fruit, make your own waffles, cereal, hot oatmeal with many choices of toppings, eggs, bacon or sausage, great coffee, pastries, and even more. We had a great stay and cant wait to go back.

The bathroom toilet was dirty and when showering the tub started filling up. The water would not drain. I wanted a shower not a bath.

Everything about this hotel from check-in to check-out was great. Room was clean, modern and comfy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. King suite had separate sitting area with a second tv - other being in bed area. Free breakfast had real, fresh cooked scrambled eggs along with a good choice of other items. Have stayed two different times when visiting family and look forward to coming back again!

I want to thank the staff at Akron South Fairfield Inn. My brother had a tree fall thru his house in the early hours of Saturday morning. I called a friend who works at Marriott to see if there was an available room for a couple days for him. She reserved a room for him. But when he showed up in the late hours of the Saturday night, there was confusion and I am certain that he was being very difficult to deal with. He ended up sleeping the night in his wrecked house with no electricity.I called this morning and the wonderful lady answering the phone only had one question for me: How can we, at Marriott, make this right? That is some awesome customer service that needs to be recognized.So even though this started roughly, it was made all better by your employee with a single phone call.Great job!!!!
Brief one night stay. Staff was friendly upon entering. Check in was quick and easy. Room was spacious. King bed, mini refrigerator/freezer, microwave, free WiFi. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Complimentary breakfast with multiple options and friendly, helpful staff.
This was a great place to stay. They called us at home to see if there was anything that we needed while we were they. No other place that we have stayed at has ever done that! The staff was exceptional! Friendly, courteous, and very professional. The room was large, clean, and very comfortable. We were there for my nieces wedding. They made the visit very enjoyable - great breakfast, very friendly staff, and excellent accommodations. We have stayed in many hotels/motels before but this was one of the best!

The staff made this trip very relaxing and stress free! The hotel was decorated well (funky/retro lobby) and made it a nice place to relax and enjoy our down time on our trip to this area. The beds were surprisingly very comfortable. The room was pleasantly decorated for serene comfort. The colors were not to bright/loud to distract from a relaxed mood!

The room was amazing and clean with amazingly comfortable beds. The service was great from the front desk to the breakfast the next morning. The workout room and pool/hot tub were easy to use and quite enjoyable for the kids. All in all it was a great stay and I will definitely come back!

Overall, the visit was okay. The decor was modern and clean. The shower water took at least 10-15 minutes to warm up. The pool and the room are smaller than they appear on the website. The breakfast and the nice lady at the front desk were the best part of the stay.
Marriott sure packs a lot of amenities in this property. Our room was stunning with the way it was designed and furnished. Three distinct living areas set off visually rather than one big room. The closet is cleverly angled so that light from the TV is obscured from the bed if one person goes to bed earlier than another. The bed was very comfortable for both of us, particularly me with a few achy joints. The pool and workout room were impeccably clean and in perfect working order. Breakfast was good enough to get us back on the road energized. Hope youre greeted at the Front Desk by Shirley...shes wonderful!

Not a bad place to stay. No frills at all; but a very comfortable place to stay. I requested a refrigerator for my room since I was there for a full week, and they gave me one at no charge. I LOVED the fact that the rooms had DVRs... I was able to record and watch shows at my leisure. It was great. Staff very friendly, and they offer a free shuttle to and from the Akron/Canton airport. That was a big selling point. Overall, a nice stay.
The staff was friendly and the lobby areas were clean. My room unfortunately had trash from a previous visit and used blankets were thrown in the closet. The beds are also very hard and uncomfortable.
Check in was exceptionally smooth ( We had reservations) The receptionist was very personable and well organised. The room was neat, clean and well appointed with comfortable beds and good climate control. Breakfast area was well laid out with a good selection of food. Food was typical hotel, but good.The only negative for this hotel was the exercise room. The air conditioner quit working and the temperature was 83 deg. (F).
Cons: The pool area was burning my eyes due to the over abundant of chlorine in the air. The pop machine on the 2nd floor took my change ($2.50 for a pop) but I didnt recieve any drink. Also if I paid in cash I had to give a $250.00 deposite but if I paid with a credit card it was a $20 hold for up to 7 business days. Also the staff stares at everyone a lot even if they go to the outside patio to smoke (awkward) Didnt really care for the location of this Fairfield Inn due to the high way and the area.Pros: Very nice and clean set up in the dinning area plus the rooms are decently nice and very very clean. I loved the hotel bathrooms and the beds are very comfortable. I love the idea of a patio to where people can relax and have a smoke. The patio area was nice and clean as well plus youre able to walk into the pool room.
This hotel was very accommodating, help us find the best room when there was something wrong with the room we were suppose to be in. The staff were really nice, and helpful! My husband kept commenting how nice they were! The room was really great! Clean, modern and very nice! It was a really great place to stay! There were several places around there, to eat or shop, and it was all really easy to get to!!
The hotel was reasonably priced-very clean and modern. The staff were professional and pleasant. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Perfect place to stay for a brief visit with family. Exactly what we needed!
I was absolutely disappointed with quality of my room and the hotel amenities. Our room had a tub with whirlpool jets which seemed nice but when I was in the tub and turned the jets on, hair from the person who had stayed in the room previously. Pool was very small compared to what was lead to be believed on the website and there was also no hot tub in the pool room like the website had advertised.
The front desk employee was awesome and accommodating as we asked to switch our room. There was a hot, free breakfast. Our king sized comfortable bed had 4 types of pillows on it: feather, foam, fiber fill, etc... The room was spacious, and stocked with a keurig, fridge, TV, lots of outlets, desk. Things were spotless and housekeeping was very nice.
The service at Fairfield Inn & Suites Akron South was truly outstanding. Just about everyone I interacted with was professional and kind. The breakfast was pretty good and the staff during breakfast hours were very accommodating. The front desk staff were very pleasant and most helpful. If you like the swim the facility pool is a bit small so it would be best to take a dip when not many customers are using it. Other than that, I enjoyed my weekend stay.
I arrived after a long day of travel difficulties. I was greeted with a smile and a helpful staff member who went out of her way to ensure the rest of my night went smoothly. The room was spacious and very nice. Although my stay was not long, the staff the next day were also cheerful and I was disappointed that I was leaving so soon. I travel a whole bunch for work and would forward to staying at this facility again.
Location worked out great for me connected to Akron Canton Airport, friends, and family. Front desk, cleaners, breakfast staff all were great, friendly, accommodating for whatever simple request I had.
I stayed here this past weekend (9/29-10/1), and it was wonderful. The staff are all wonderful and nice. The room was spotless. The bed was so comfortable, and Im picky. The location is great. Its close to food and shopping and attractions, easy access to the highway. Even the free breakfast was really good. All in all, it was a great stay thanks to a great staff. My husband and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for an awesome weekend!Edit: the 20% discount cards they give away at the desk for the TGI Fridays next door is yet another thing that will have me returning to this location. Nothing but good things to say about this Fairfield Inn!
Loved this hotel. Very friendly staff. Clean and spacious room. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Only issue I had was the website said there was a hot tub and it has been taken out and the pool was cold.
Suite was roomy2 tvs, microwave and mini frig. Room neat and clean. Price was excellent. Probably because booking was day before. Breakfast was the usual. However, it was hot and well maintained. Fitness center had no air on. I was shocked. Two tredmills, weight set, one eliptical and bike. Pool area was very small.
It was so nice seeing happy, smiling staff. This is not always the case and it makes such a difference! The hotel was updated and very clean, but it was the staff that stood out to me. Helpful, polite, cheerful. Keep it up!
This hotel was clean, and the staff were super nice. The only reason I’m giving it a 3 is because the AC in my room 228 was very musty smelling, and probably has a mold problem. Sleeping with the musty AC running all night (it was almost 80 degrees if it wasn’t running) when I’m getting over a cold, and have an important day for work the next day, wasn’t ideal. Set me back a bit with getting healthy, and could be a health problem for someone else if there’s mold found in the system. But everything else at the hotel was great, and I would recommend this hotel assuming they will fix the musty AC unit.

We recently stayed at Akron South and had a most pleasant stay from checkin with Shirley (a big asset to this hotel)to checkout. All personnel that we encountered seemed to want to be there and were friendly. Breakfast was good and the whole place was super clean. Cant wait to go back.

At check in I asked for a room on the first floor and near an exit as I was staying for 2 weeks and had a lot of stuff. I was told because I booked on the app that couldn’t be done. Very frustrating. Ordered food to be delivered the next day and had to go to the lobby to get it even though the guy was clearly there for a delivery. Bathroom wasn’t very clean and the toilet paper holder was coming out of the wall. Not what I’d expect from a Marriott property
This was a great hotel. The staff was super nice and helpful. The rooms great and clean. We stayed 6 nights and wish it was longer. The ac unit was broke in our first room. When I reported it the next morning they gave us a new room and upgrade us to a suite. This was super nice of them.
Kind, fast, staff with cookies on arrival. Breakfast is plentiful and fresh with healthy choices and the rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. I almost requested to buy the pillows. The pool should be perhaps renamed, it is the size of a hot tub, everything else is perfect.
Overall its a bit dated (especially the shower, at least in the whirlpool rooms) and theres a bit of overall wear, but everything was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Good spot for a quick stop through town.

Room was clean and nice, it was extremely big but only had a small chair, it looked like it was missing a couch. My big complaint was the bed. It was super hard like sleeping on the floor but if you like that, youll love it. Pool and whirlpool was busy with a kids birthday party so we were unable to relax. Just an okay experience but I prefer La Quinta.
Rooms were smaller than expected. The Executive suite was not much bigger than studio suite. The pool was also very small and the area was crowded and HOT. Overall we stayed one night for baseball tournaments and was very pleased. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was really good!

At checkinin, we were greeted enthusiatically. Focus during checkin remained on the immediate customer despite potential distractions. The room was not only very clean, but well stocked. My elite staus was recognized and we were upgraded. In addition there were some amenites provided. Internet worked without any issues. breakfast staff and food quality were best i have ever experienced in a Fairfield.
The hotel and facilities are great. I usually use more pillows than most and the staff made sure I had Plenty. The only complaint is the breakfast wasn’t great. The hot foods were not good. Otherwise I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendly staff.

When you pick a hotel while on the road you really dont have a lot of expectation. We chose the Fairfield in based on location, price and reviews. Although we drove further than we should have, the extra hours were worth it! We had a great nights sleep in a very clean room. We rose late but still had time to have a wonderful breakfast in very clean and pleasant atmosphere. Our only regret is not getting there early enough to enjoy the other amenities of the property.

Weve stayed at this property for daughters golf tournament. Didnt expect much, thinking its a typical Fairfield Inn in a midwest town. The check in was delightful - the front desk clerk was cheerful, offered upgrade for a Platinum Elite member, knew my name, & accommodated early breakfast-to-go request. The suite room was immaculate, inviting, and had nice refrigerator & microwave oven. Close proximity to the TGIF and Mexican restaurant and everything was very very convenient. A wonderful property, well managed, and great staff - we will definitely stay here for our next golf tournament!
The front desk receptionist was rude upon check-in. Our room was nice, but smelled musty. The elevator smelled like marijuana. There are ants in the room. We had fix the toilet it wouldnt flush.

First we found blood splatter on the sheets. When my wife went to complain they only had 1 person working the front desk on a Saturday night. So my wife had to change the sheets herself with the given to her at the front desk. Couldnt use shower because it had a leak and wasnt draining so the tub had a 1 inch pool of water. Kind of gross to then want to get in it... really surprised this is a Marriott property to be quite honest as a Bonvoy member.
I started this survey/review with the sole purpose of recognizing Shakira at this location, as I felt she was above a majority of the staff members I encounter during my business travels. Shes the reason I will come back to this particular location when Im in the area.Aside from that - dear Marriott team - shorten your surveys, and dont make it a requirement for me to post a review. I simply wanted to acknowledge a sole employee, not spend 12 minutes rating everything else. Shame.

Was there for a Funeral and Shirley was very professional in attending to my needs. As a Hotelier it helps to see the compassion that we have all experienced over the past year.
Overall, this hotel provided a clean and comfortable room for a recent business trip. My only complaints are the noise level from the toilet, which was unusually loud, and from the slamming of the neighboring room doors which could clearly be heard in our room. Additionally, the bed was very firm and the decor, while newly updated, was not visually pleasing. The staff was very friendly and check in was a breeze!
We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay so our grandson could attend his orientation at UofA. Will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stopped at this Fairfield while driving from Michigan to North Carolina. We arrived around 12:45 am after a long night of driving and were greeted by Christie at the front desk. She was extremely welcoming and helpful with a discount code that was being stubborn. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations but was still very comfortable and quiet. The complimentary internet worked well and the free breakfast was quality. This hotel was exactly what we needed for a quick night of rest before getting back on the road. We would definitely stay at this hotel next time we make this drive.
Everything about our stay here was excellent. Friendly front desk, clean hotel, very good fresh breakfast with delicious mini waffles(made by staff member for us), clean, comfy, relaxing room and a hand written thank you note on our receipt! Will definitely be back next time we visit.

Pros~ Very clean and neat, the dining room is set up very nice & theres a back patio outside which also goes into the indoor pool area. The pool room is set up nice with a Jacuzzi as well and theres clean towels to dry off when youre done which is convenient. The rooms are very clean and neat, the bed is extremely comfortable and the bathroom is just beautiful.Cons~ High priced for small rooms & for a one night stay. Also they hold $250.00 deposit if you pay in cash and they hold $20.00 as a deposit if you pay by credit card. (Takes up to 7 business days to get your deposit money back). The swimming area was great besides the chlorine was soo strong that your eyes burned just from walking in the room. The pool may have been a bit too warm but better than feeling like an ice cube.
Our floor in our room was soaking wet with pool water and we didn’t even use the pool. The room also had a weird smell to it.
There was a group of 46 of us staying there for our girls softball tournament. All the employees there were so helpful, nice and understanding. ..could you imagine the noise at times with all of us! I would definitely stay there again and would recommend them to anyone that was going to be in the area.
I am a Marriott rewards member and try to stay at Marriott when available.I reently booked a 2 night trip for my family who was coming in from out of state to celebrate my daughters birthday. I forgot to add my moms name as a guest so when she arrived exhausted from driving, they wouldnt allow her to check in. They didnt bother calling me to verify, just simply told her i need to be present with the cc i used to book the room. I live almost 45 minutes away and had reservations for dinner with my daughter so i called down and requested a manager. The girl working the front desk said the manager is at home and requested i give her the last 4 digits of my cc which i provided as well as my member ID#. She then said sorry, still need to come down and informed me if Im not there by midnight, ill be charged regardless. I then jumped in my car to speed down and bumped reservation. On the drive i called 800 number and asked to add them in hopes of saving dinner and inconvenience. First call i was told i have to take it up with front desk. I called back down to hotel and they said not w/o me being present. I called back and got a different person on the 800 number and explained the situation. That person was able to add them but by time all this took place i was already 30 minutes into my 45 drive. The staff was rude, the manager unavailable and uninterested in assisting and conflicting info from 800 has me rethinking being a rewards member. Im better off booking thru travel site pricewise anyway. Very disappointed with the entire experience
This was one of the nicest Fairfield Inn & Suites that I have stayed in. I am a Marriott Rewards member and this hotel was at the top of their game when it comes to cleanliness and hospitality. The hotel was very clean and fresh feeling. The room was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and delicious.
Shirley was excellent! The hotel was very accomodating to a last minute unexpected stay! The hotel was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. I only feel that they could keep up on replenishing the breakfast and coffe for the morning.
Very good clean Hotel very new. Good service easy in and out. The attendant who has to make the waffles for breakfast was a little short with some people but super nice and over-the-top with others. I guess it is irritating to have to stand there and make people waffles but anyway.... I would go back.
A recently renovated hotel with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. My room was clean and comfortable but still had that old hotel smell. Its a hard smell to describe but you know it if you have ever smelled it. Not a bad place but I will probably try another location the next time Im in the area.
I stay in the area a lot for work, and when I can get a good rate at this Fairfield Inn, it makes this hotel the most attractive option for me. The rooms have a fridge/microwave which is great for multi-night stays. The fitness center has what I need (treadmill and free-weights). And I like grabbing a yogurt and a coffee in the complimentary breakfast before heading to work. Staff is super friendly, rooms are clean, and you get a bunch of channels on their Direct TV service.

2022-03-10Positive: Friendly and helpful staff...attractive lobby...very nice, clean room. The breakfast was the best we have had anywhere. The employee overseeing the breakfast did a great job...was attentive and very hospitable. Negative: Two very small things: Keurig & coffee/tea pods but no coffee cups in our room. We got some from the lobby coffee bar area. Used a clip we had with us to close the room darkening curtain in our first floor room...it didnt quite close all the way.

2022-04-11As a Marriot Bonvoy Member, I am not super impressed with this hotel. We arrived at 11:30pm and there were noises all over the place. We could hear all of our neighbors and didnt get to sleep until about 4am. And then right at 6am, they started packing and all you heard was the banging of drawers.On top of this, the water flow was super slow and there was only super hot or ice cold. Not much for a shower. And our room thermostat was broken, so we slept in a tundra until it magically started working around 7am.Food was alright except the hard boiled eggs turned out to be bad unfortunately.I do want to mention though that the service was super nice and they did try to fix the issues, but they could not fix the noisey neighbors and that is really no fault of theirs.Please be cautious when staying. Bring noise cancelling headphones and your own food.

2022-05-08Positive: Breakfast but no waffles Negative: We stayed 2 nights and they did not make up our room after the first night. I didnt see any maids. The pool floor was gritty and breaking from starting to break apart. No hot tub!! We stayed there because of the hot tub advertised.

2022-06-07Positive: The location was fine, close to restaurants Negative: Rude staff. Got keys to an occupied room, they blamed housekeeping. Walked right in their room! Pool broke a day before we arrived?.. whole reason I booked there. Loud guests slamming doors. 1 king bed with no pull out sofa with 3 people? Never again.

2022-02-21Pool is small, no hottub. Saturday night and I couldnt even use the pool it was so busy and there were NO towels at the pool. Great bed and nice room. TV rather small for hotel today...

2021-10-12We always enjoy staying at Fairfield Inn & Suites, Akron South! The staff are so friendly and welcoming from checkin to checkout! The breakfast was very good, with an assorted variety of food and beverages. The breakfast staff were amazing...friendly and so helpful! We had a beautiful king room with an additional sitting area that included a sofa, 2 small tables for eating, television, fridge and microwave. So convenient for eating carry out! Bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay here on our next family visit!!

2021-09-28The staff here was excellent. We were attending a wedding and had asked for early check in abd knew it wasnt guaranteed but had asked anyway in hopes of arriving and being to get ready for the wedding. Our room was not available yet and the staff here specifically Shirley went above and beyond to provide an accommodation so that we werent getting ready in a dirty rest stop restroom. Their actions, thoughtfulness, and kindness ensured that my guest and I were able to attend the wedding of a dear friend on time and without a hitch. Im forever grateful to the staff here and I recommend anyone and everyone choose this hotel if youre staying in the area.

2021-10-22We loved the cheery color scheme and decor of our room. I even took a picture of the hallway! We had a pretty late checkin, and Morgan at the desk was very friendly, professional, and gracious. As a couple of weary travelers, we really appreciated his kind demeanor and his extra efforts to get us something we had forgotten to pack. The breakfast was great and satisfied me and my daughter (who is pickier than I am). The eggs were literally the best scrambled eggs I have ever had, and I had to thank the lady who made them. I would definitely stay here again! We honestly wished we could stay longer.

2021-10-24Recently stayed here while visiting family in the area. Although the lobby was clean the mattresses/rooms etc. are getting worn. We found a half eaten piece of licorice on the bed when we arrived. They had coffee in the rooms but no coffee pots oh we are out of them They did not have a hair dryer in the room. Asked for one at the desk, she had to hunt one down. Several people at desk asking for shampoo oh we dont have any. The hallway door leading outside that is supposed to require a key for entry at night, was propped open with a rock every single night, heard the desk woman say, because its so hot in the hallways. The breakfast was decent and the ladies that work the breakfast super nice.

2021-08-24We are Really happy we found Fairfield Inn to stay in when we are in Akron This was our third stay at Fairfield Inn, South Akron. We really appreciate staying there. Shirley at the desk and LaWanda at the breakfast buffet are TOPS /absolutely Awesome! They are wonderful at their jobs. Helpful and friendly and they know what they are doing. There is another woman who works at the breakfast buffet (I think every other day) who is also very excellent at her job . We only met her on this most recent stay and I didn’t catch her name. The rooms are clean. The facility is clean and well maintained, as well as the grounds and parking lot. The breakfast is so nice, the eggs and sausages are tasty, and there is such a nice variety of breakfast items to choose from, and of good quality too. Thank you so much
