First time actually seeing a room here. The time before I just ordered the cod fish dinner in the bar. Didnt drink anything other than Sprite. Had fun... Delivered groceries to a very sweet Lady. She even gave me a $5 tip which always blesses me! Nice room from what I got to see!
The hotel staff is extremely friendly. Our room was upgraded at no charge and the house keeping lady let us know there was no rush to leave in the morning. The TV was dated but the room was huge and the bathroom was clean. The atmosphere is great and the bar is a FANTASTIC place to hang out. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a cool place to stay or someone who wants a great experience to remember.
Everything was wonderful. Staff, including house keeping, was wonderful. Room was nice.EDIT: Ive been here multiple, multiple times in the past two months and everything and everyone has been wonderful. Plus with the CVS and several fast food places nearby. I have everything I need nearby for my stays.
Absolutely terrible.. to start 2 out of 5 lights worked, mini fridge did not,no hot water, outside of my room I stepped in something nasty an layed hand towel over it so I wouldnt kill another pair of socks. So when I checked out she would not give me my deposit cause of that one dirty towel. The yelled, cussed, told me to leave an never come back. Worst stay of my life
Non-smoking room (and hallway) smelled like cigarettes. Bathroom was clean, but an exterminator had to spray for ants on second day. I developed an itchy rash, possibly from detergent/bleach from linens or blanket and/or bedspread. Pillows should be replaced. Looks like a vacuum has never been run under bed or behind furniture. Prices are too high for the low level of quality received.I must praise the cleaning crew who did their very best in the short amount of time given to do their jobs.
The hotel was cleaner than I anticipated based on Google reviews. I was fortunate enough to get a non-smoking room on the second floor which the hallways smell a lot better than the first floor. My room was fairly clean. Free of bed bugs. My room also had its own bathroom with shower that was a plus. As I had heard that there might have been group showers. Unfortunately my shower had a strange foul odor of human feces
***upated review**** got a call from a lady named lily who was very helpful, nice and apologized for the clerk from Saturday and the service we got. Updated the review from a 2 to a 4 because she made it right and we will be back***. Usually when we come in town to visit family we stay here and it’s always a good place to stay, clean rooms, nice staff... no issues whats so ever. This visit was different. Checked in January 5th and left January 6. Rented two rooms, we came in the early afternoon and check in wasn’t until 3( I wasn’t aware) it was 1. The lady behind the desk yesterday was very rude and lectured me about it, asked if I cared to split the rooms between two floors. I told her that was fine and that my son ( age 7 who was in the lobby with me) wanted a room up on the second floor but it didn’t matter, she then preceded to tell me that well he and you can’t be smoking pot or anything else like that and I said well I don’t smoke at all and she said well I live up stairs so I will know if you are ( i asked for non smoking rooms to begin with), she was rude with two other customers coming in to ask questions also during my check in. She could of just said we don’t allow drugs or some type of policy thing even though I don’t do any or smoke. The beds were really hard and felt like springs coming through them, one room the hot water didn’t work and the tv was going out. The other room was fine. The lady when I checked out though This morning was much better then first and was very friendly. When I checked in the lady told another customer that they were doing “renovations” and that the price would be increased but if you have staff being rude and accusing customers checking in of doing drugs then I’ll probably be finding some place else to stay. It’s a shame because I actually liked it there until this visit.
5 Stars given for a three star property BECAUSE the wife and I travel (tour) thru this area yearly. We have had 3 stays of 4-6 nights. The staff is really nice. They are always moving. They are minimal with the pandemic but they APPRECIATE their jobs. They APPRECIATE your patronage. The front of house APPRECIATES your business. I gladly give it. I had rather low exectations of a motel that appears to have been past its heyday. BUT we were on a very limited budget in this rather depressed area. Its an Air Force Base town. There used to be lots more of my fellow Fly Guys in the town. Not anymore. SO ... we do our best to entertain those who weve been invited to. We try to lift their spirits and come back to a clean, nice handicap room, (Im in a wheelchait) This year the room had been Transfornmed. New laminated flooring, paint, artwork, and bathroom fixtures! The room was brand NEW! It was as if we were in a Hyatt or better. The plan I hear is redo the inside out. (eventually) But for a large old building it will take some time, and a large effort. In the meantime enjoy the people working and staying there plus stop in the attached bar n restaurant. Its all one big diamond in the rough.
The check in person was very sweet. Very close to the Air Museum. Price was very good. The hallway smelled musty/smoky. The room was old but very clean. Surprised to see a small refrigerator, safe and pull out sofa in our room. Very comfortable king size bed. Stayed 3 nights. Hotel needs a lot of updates. Surrounding area has everything you would need such as restaurants, pharmacy, car wash, etc.
Very friendly, nice clean towels, and clean rooms hotel that I felt just like in my own bed room at home. The front counter lady also invited us to sing songs of Karaoke next to their bar place without admission fee. We ate their specialties of chicken wings and delicious Chinese food. We had a good time on Friday and Saturday nights. For some other hotels dont even have Karaoke and swimming pool facilities or require to pay admission fees. So, we got to save some money!
Bathroom had no fan. Room smelled like mold. Most plug outlets in the room did not work. Person checking us in was very rude. Room was dirty looking. Not enough towels given. Room had no sprinkler system in case of fire. Shower had very little hot water. Entrance doors from parking lot not secure anyone can go in and out. People smoking right next to entrance way.
The only nice thing I can say is that the lady at the desk was polite. The floors were dirty and every part of the building we were needed new paint, walls and ceilings were gross. There was a 5 gallon bucket in the middle of the lobby catching water dripping from the ceiling. It was a long creapy walk to our room. The carpet was disgusting and it smelled musty and bad. We were in our room for less than an hour. There were stains all over the furniture. The television was an old, box like one that the picture didnt even fit on. We didnt unmake the bed. We were just sitting on it watching television. I got up and went to the bathroom. On my way out I saw a bug upside down with its legs wiggling. I picked it up with some toilet paper and put it in the toilet. I googled what does a bed but look like and sure enough thats what it was!!! We got our stuff and left. I went to the front desk, my boyfriend loaded up the car and met me at the front door. I showed the lady a picture of the bug, she said Oh! Thats a big one! I would say they must have experience with them to know if its a big one or not. They told me we could have a refund or another room. We took our refund and had to find another hotel at 11 oclock at night. I didnt expect much for a hotel room that was only $50 or $60 (I dont remember) a night but I dont care it its a dollar, Im not paying for bugs!
One of the coolest places I have ever stayed. The atmosphere is great and the room prices and sizes are wonderful. Rooms are also clean and the heat and AC works well. The bar/restaurant has great food and drinks. TVs are a bit dated and the beds could be a little more comfortable but I have loved both times I stayed here.
Its 6:04, I left the Fairborn motel about 4:30. I couldnt sleep because of how bad the room smelled from cigarettes. The sign on the door said non smoking but that wasnt true. The desk said I couldnt get a refund because of the way I paid online. The motel is not clean, you can see it down the hallways. I didnt get into my room 153 until 12:30. I had just driven over 500 miles. Dont sell any more rooms from this place. No stars would still be to high of a rating.
Surprisingly this has been an awesome extended stay I love the staff even have my favorite housekeepers made friends with one if the women here she has the biggest heart ever shes an awesome person all if the front desk staff are awesome. Tami the manager is an awesome woman shes great at her job and shes great with the guest Ive not really had many complaints they even kept movie us til we found a room that fit our loud family lol they went above and beyond to help us Emily is also one of my faves I enjoy sitting and taking with her when I cant sleep I just love most of the staff here they have an awesome crewThank you for the warm hospitalitySincerely,Heather
Check in was easy and the person behind the desk was very friendly and helpful. The outside of the hotel and the hallways are a little dated but the lobby and restaurant/ bar area were very new - they appear to be doing renovations and working their way through the hotel. The bed was not the most comfortable thing but was probably just older. A really cool place to spend a few days in Ohio.
The room that myself and my brother was in was horrible. The beds were hard like cardboard, the shower water didn’t really work properly, the TV kept on flickering from different colors throughout the night, and the internet connection was completely HORRIBLE! We never were told the internet connection by the tenant in the hotel.
Affordable hotel with old school Holiday Inn type set up. Most rooms have microwave and fridge. Restaurant and bar are good, usually not busy. Family owned, and aimed to help those who are displaced, as you can work doing housekeeping or other jobs in exchange for food and a room. Very popular with truckers. No credit card necessary. Week day discounts. Cheaper than A Super 8 and nicer.
Fairly clean, but the halls are musty and smell of smoke. I stayed here for two weeks and my neck is still recovering from the rock hard bed. I also bought a $4 shower curtain to replace the smoke stained one. I only really booked here because I had to find a place in a pinch.
The halls to the rooms are thick with the smell of cigarette smoke and drunk folks were roaming the halls shouting all hours of the night. The room was average, nothing special. Mattresses were atrocious and the shower was either painfully hot or too cold to even just dunk my head.
Giving this place two stars is being generous, but I realize its a step up from a rat hole. Dont expect much here. There are cobwebs on the ceiling, a hole in the wall that looks like a camera hole (which we covered it with the in-house restaurant menu), the TV had a huge blacked out portion on the screen (they are swapping it out), one free plug in the room (if you have electronics to plug in, you might have a problem), poor Wi-Fi (again, if you want to use electronics, this is a problem), the bathroom floor looks like someone may have been trying to take the toilet out, the curtains are completely crumpled. The offering of coffee is limited to regular, so theres no consideration for those of us who must be dedicated decaf drinkers. Theres other things as well, but why bother listing them? I will make every effort not to step foot in here again, after this stay. Unfortunately, this was short notice, and all that was available.
This is a dive hotel, to be sure. I have had so much fun here though! Its connected to a Chinese restaraunt and a bar that has karaoke on the weekends, and Ive met so many interesting humans here. Its nothing fancy but it isnt the worst either. Cheap fun away from home for the weekend!
Three 🌟 is probably a bit much for the quality of this hotel BUT its cheap, has decent restaurants in it..2 of them to be exact..a BBQ joint and chinese food. They also have a pool with a grill and a bar..so yay! Not only can you rent a room but can stop by on the daily and pay a small $7-8 fee for pool is all day. The pool is 3-9 on the deep end. It s generally clean minus a few leaves here or there.
We needed a conference room and the owners were more than helpful and accommodating. They did a great job of putting together a comfortable conference environment. We plan on using them every week for our meetings. Not the first location one thinks of for a meeting place but they did great and the price is very fair.
The most horrific experience ever! I was ok with it being a little dated but I was actually irritated that they price gouged the rooms due to the Air Force marathon. For the first visual it looked clean but once the bed spread was uncovered, BED BUGS!!!! Yes! and baby bed bugs which indicated that this is an ongoing issue! When we contacted the front desk and told them about bugs, the response was what kind? like that made a difference! Never again!
Dont know how this hotel got any good reviews! My Husband stayed there a month ago and had an extended stay. He came home for the weekend and had bite marks all over his body! BED BUGS!!!! This hotel is infested! I have pictures to prove it! His money was refunded because he threatened to call the bored of health and the local News station.
Had a great stay in Dayton, Only a few drawbacks.1. The Hotel was Gross2.The staff didnt seem to know what they were doing or talking about.3.We found weed in the hotel as well as a bong bowl under our bed.4.As soon as we got there, i went to use the restroom and the toilet was COVERED in pubic hairs.5.THERE WAS A SLICE OF AMERICAN CHEESE IN OUR BED (UNWRAPPED)6. Theyre were fingernail clippings EVERYWHERE.7. If a room has flowers by the door, a previous tennent has died in the room (asked the front desk)8. Our friends room had dried blood on the wall behind the nightstand.9.ALWAYS SMELLS LIKE SMOKE EVERYWHERE10. Creepy Staff
I agree with claygirley. The woman at the counter was as close to brain dead as an employee could be. The room she selected was private but that was easy since this 200 plus unit hotel was virtually empty. There was no hot water in the evening but luckily there was hot water in the morning. The carpet in my room was SO DIRTY that when I took my shower the water turned dirty from the dirt coming off my feet. The wifi was fine but the TV was abysmal as its picture quality was so poor I wished their wifi was fast enough for me to watch Netflix.I think the home office should audit this motel and bring it to standard or shut it down.
Whenever Myself or a guest from out of town need a hotel, I always go here. Its affordable, clean, and the staff are always friendly. Theres free wifi, most of the rooms have a mini fridge and microwave at no extra cost, and if its not included, theres microwaves, plastic utensils, and napkins available at all the ice and vending locations. Free coffee, and a restaurant that provides room service at no additional cost. Plus its THE ONLY HOTEL in the county that provides smoking rooms, so you dont have to stand in the heat or cold. For $50 a night for a king suite it cant be beat.
It was dirty and overall condition of the model was poor . It was way over priced and the price wasnt what I was quoted . They didnt respond to any of my request on the room lights not working and thier chair in the room was broken was not usable and they did nothing about any of the problems .Things were so bad I was ashamed of it and didnt want other quess to see me .
I went to the Fairborn Hotel & Inn to see if their Restaurant and Bar had Billards which when I walked up I seen they did. There were people playing pool, drinking at the bar and watching football game on t.v. I got change for quarters to play couple games and the staff was polite and courteous. I played one game alone and enjoyed the atmosphere. Closing time came quick & I left.
😠DO NOT STAY HERE Seen Bed Bugs in the first 5 mins of being there we had 2 separate rooms and they were both infested all I did was look where the headboard is and boom I called the front desk and said yall got bed bugs she said bed bugs b*#$ u know DNT try ta act like u aint know plus no carpet in the hallway should have known better 🤮😫 room stunk so bad also def not worth it we did get our deposit back and hopefully the refund went back on the card ☹️
Tried to visit the bar and restaurant at 9:30 and everything was closed what a joke rooms were a joke as well paint peeling wall paper a joke as well bed not made I mean I would not recommend this place to a homeless person try hope hotel. Box tvs small fridge one washer and dryer oh and on a extended stay you cant get a second refrigerator because of power

2022-07-10This hotel is a rather old property resembling a small group of apartment buildings the Fairborn looks like it was originally designed for people who wanted just to get out of town and not be bothered. The staff was very friendly and informative the inside is what amazed me since this property is at least 60 years old the inside looks awesome and has been well kept. My room was nice everything was there as advertised I plan on going back soon to this treasure. The only thing that was wrong the vending machines did not have credit card swipers and at 3 in the morning everyone around is closed within walking distance. I thought it was just a little inconvenient. This is a definite reconmend

2022-06-04It was clean! Furniture a bit dated but in good condition. Hallway was a bit dingy looking and was not air conditioned, but I’m not sleeping in the hallway. This was the 2nd time we’ve stayed there. We will come back. It’s not a 5 star hotel but it’s adequate for traveling on a budget. Did I mention it was clean?!!! Had a fridge, microwave and free Wi-Fi.

2022-06-11If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Place smelled musky and moldy, lady at the front desk was really nasty. Wouldn’t give our deposit back. Never will stay again. Maybe you should get your report right. Maybe you need to hire people that’s not on meth.

2022-06-13Positive: Nothing was liked about this hotel. Rooms smelled moldy and musty, even the hall ways stunk. Would not recommend to one one. Negative: Very smelly rooms and hallways smelled like mold.

2022-05-31Positive: Sheets, bedding and towels were clean. Negative: Hotel is totally outdated...as in it appears the last update to the property/rooms was done in the 80s.

2022-03-15The relatively low price may be deceptive. The hotel may justify the rate based on other local hotels; however, it is overpriced in the end. The abysmal conditions of the building void any value.

2021-06-06Was going to stay the night here. The lady was very nice and polite but thats all the good I can say about this place. The place is obviously an old hotel that needs updated. On our way to the room it was very sketchy people hanging around outside most appeared to be tweaking. So that was enough for us we went someplace else. The lady at front was understanding and gave us a refund without any issues.

2021-06-03Pillows flat, water pressure little to zero out put. Bed was very clean. No wifi even though its advertised. Shower needed grout scrubbed better. Found a hair in towels and not enough towels. Halls smelled like smoke. Front desk staff tried to help but not much helped.

2021-02-25The bathrooms are small. However I stayed there over a month and the staff was great. Allowed us to park close to see our vehicles. Although we requested room service, we always put up our do not disturb sign. And we were not bothered.
