John, Conner and Ben are Amazing! We had a small electrical fire in our panel and they came out the same day and fixed our problem. They were professional and polite during the entire process. I will definitely use Fair Lighting & Electrical again and would recommend anyone who has an issue and needs service to do the same. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you for everything!!!

They listened to all of the needs and wants that my wife and I were looking into. They are friendly, responsive, and professional! We are selling our house and needed some work done pretty quick. They understood the situation and were able to get it scheduled promptly even though they are scheduling most projects out 6 weeks. Additionally, once I told them we had been paying for coverage on the external electrical on the house but Homeserve denied our claim- they called Homeserve directly and got it covered for us! The estimates were easily sent and reviewed electronically which makes it extra nice for sharing information with potential buyers. I could not recommend them more!

Dan Fair does a great job at pretty much anything electrical you could need. My wife and I are even going to have him put in a natural gas back-up generator! If you bought a camper and you need 30 or 50 amp service at home, got a new hot-tub that needs power, or wand to do a new lighting setup to change the mood of your living space, then you should call Fair Lighting and Electrical!
Fair Lighting & Electric did a great job for me. I was on a time crunch to have my work done and they came through and installed what needed done. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for electrical or lighting projects that need done. Dan and customer service were very helpful and got back to me when they said they would.

Excellent. VERY satisfied.Everything about this company is A++++++ - the owner (Dan Fair); the office staff; the workers.Dan himself came to do the estimate. Listened to the problem and provided - and explained - his suggested solution. Was thorough, thoughtful and professional. After the original estimate, we discovered we needed an additional new circuit put in. Dan quickly responded and provided a new estimate.Then on the day the workers came, they too were on time, properly masked and absolutely knew what they were doing. COMPLETELY satisfied with the result.Would enthusiastically recommend Fair Lighting and Electrical. I presume theyre not the cheapest, but we think top notch quality and peace of mind are worth paying for.
I had two components in my wood shop changed from 110 volt wired from the factory to 220 volt to make them run more efficient, as I didn’t want to take the chance doing this job wrong myself. Two young guys showed up on time, were polite, well mannered, professional, wearing masks and shoe coverings. They looked at my equipment instruction manuals, reading the wiring schematics on each device. They had them both finished and operating on 220 volt in about 1/2 hour. I was very pleased!! I would recommend Fair Lighting and Electrical to anyone needing these type of services!
We purchased a older home, that had very outdated wiring and componants. Fair Lighting did a great job of helping us understand what needed to be done for safety reasons, and what we could keep as is, or tweak, to use existing wiring.
I had purchased light fixtures that I really liked. I wasnt sure if Fair Lightning would be able to install in my kitchen because I wanted two of them above my counter. That would mean rewiring. I had nothing above that counter. My eyesight is changing and I need more light.When Dan came, he asked if he could make a suggestion. Of course, I said yes. He had a fixture in his car and showed me what it would look like. It sits flush with the ceiling. I love it and its very bright.I am now purchasing 6 LED recessed water edge light fixtures in the kitchen, 2 in the laundry room and one above my sink. They are very bright and I love it! He is also installing a dimmer light in the kitchen.He will install in one day and his dry wall person will repair and finish the ceiling the next day.I dont have it yet but I cant wait. If you are looking for a professional and responsive electrical contractor, Fair Lighting is the place. The first time I called, I left a message and got a call back within 10 minutes, at which time I scheduled an estimate about two weeks out. Dan came on time and got us the estimate within about one day. We then scheduled the service, which was about three weeks later, and the electricians arrived within the window we were given. At every step, I received an e-mail reminder of the appointment (estimate or service), and the electrician (Mace) called when he was on his way to do the service. I would use Fair Lighting again.
Contacted company with a sparking issue I was having. I actually contacted 3 companies before them. They were the first to respond back and they actually came out the same day to figure out what was wrong with our panel and then decided and sent a crew out the same afternoon to replace it. There was a minor issue at the end that couldnt get completed that day, but they scheduled that same time right away to come and finish it. I WILL absolutely use them again.
It was during Ohios stay at home order when we realized our breaker panel had become unsafe and needed replacement. We searched for electrical contractors on Google and Fair Lighting & Electrical had good reviews so they were the first we contacted. After hearing the situation they immediately arranged a Facetime call to get some video of the panel. We thought this was an innovative solution to the challenges of the pandemic. Within a day we received an estimate with a couple of different options. The cost was very reasonable and we made the deposit.We scheduled the service date and the crew arrived a bit early and got right to work. We were impressed that the lead electrician took the time to mentor the other crew members while still minimizing the amount of time our residence was without power. The crew adapted to the challenges of our 94 year old home and were very friendly.Fair Lighting & Electrical will be our first call anytime we need electrical work. Give them a call.
We had an excellent experience with Fair Lighting & Electrical. From the first phone call to discuss our needs, to the initial home visit and quote from Dan, to the actual day of installation, every member of the staff was helpful, polite, kind, and respectful. Dan was great at letting us know all of our options and was very prompt with providing us with a quote. Mace and his team came into our home on time and fully prepared, and throughout the time they were working, they were very respectful of our home and our time. My elderly mother needed some major electrical work done on her house. Fair electric was not only professional and did quality work, but was friendly and caring towards my mother to make sure SHE was comfortable with what was doing! You dont want to mess around with electrical work. I felt very comfortable knowing everything was performed top notch.
Needed a major overhaul of the wiring in both the house and garage. Dan Fair Inspected and quoted within a week of my call, and 5 technicians were on site within a month to complete the entire job in one day. Very knowledgeable, organized and professional. Highly recommend for large, complicated jobs as well as minor ones.
We have just contracted with them; so I dont have a job finished experience yet, but that being said, I have been very impressed with the communication team and workability through conversations which have been lengthy and un-rushed (refreshing)!So often, contractors are anxious to land the job, not listen to the customers desires with the end product...NOT the case here--very open to suggestions, comments and conversation. At this point, I am extremely impressed and soooo anxious to see my job completed!!
I wanted to add more light in my kitchen by putting pendant lights over the breakfast counter. Mace from Fair Lighting and Electric had to install new outlets and wire for those (by climbing around in a cramped, unfinished crawl space!) and add a switch to the kitchen wall. Everything was neatly done, and he did an excellent job of protecting surfaces and cleaning up after his work. I couldnt have asked for a better experience!
These guys are amazing, we had spectrum come out for a general repair for our internet and they ended up drilling into our main electrical cord for our house causing sparks and smoke. Out of all the people I called they answered came out a half hour later on his day off to take a look an hour later they repaired the cord and power was back!! They are so nice and worked fast! Im more then happy! Thank you guys so much!

Needed an electrician to check out the source of water leaking around our electrical box. Jeremy our plumber with JEM Plumbing gave us the referral to Fair Lightening and Electrical. Stephen Fair was very prompt, thorough, professional, personable, and knowledgeable. Also Theresa in the office was very nice. Will definitely use them again if I need an electrician. These are both excellent local companies serving my Uniontown area.
Dan went out of his way to stop by my home for an estimate. I appreciated that he talked through options and gave me his recommendation as though it were his house, not as though he were a business man looking to make the largest profit. My husband and I have had great experiences with Fair Lighting. They installed new outlets and HDMI cables so we could wall mount our TV over the mantel without cables hanging everywhere. A few months later, they replaced an electric panel at our rental property. They do wonderful work and clean up everything as they go. Ill absolutely continue to use them for future projects!

I requested work from Fair Lighting and Electrical to replace/upgrade my electrical panel from 100 amp Wadsworth to a 200 amp panel. Fair installs Eaton panels. The owner came and gave me an estimate - he pulled the permit before he got here, so he knew what city codes were going to need to be adhered to. He was very friendly and professional. He showed me what was wrong with my old panel (water coming in), and explained everything he saw as we looked at everything. He explained I would need a grounding update, new panel, new meter box, and new service cable. He told me that per code, I have to have a CO detector by bedrooms and my circuit breakers labeled, but that I could do both myself and not be charged for that. He then listed line by line my entire quote and how much each item would cost. This experience was much different from the first quote I got from a different company: other company did not pull a permit, did not explain anything to me, and I had to wait for the quote from the company after the guy left, which was then not itemized. When I questioned the pricing compared to the first company I had, Fair explained what he thought would be the difference, but not once did he bash the other company. He also offered financing through my electric company, as they are licensed through First Energy.The four man crew showed up right on time on the scheduled date, and got right to work. All were extremely professional, courteous, and friendly. They even waved and said hi to my toddlers. Even when they thought I wasnt paying attention, they were professional. When they were done they cleaned up everything, and showed me the work. I was very pleased with the equipment, the installation, and the crew.I will use this company again should I ever need work done, and they will be the only electric company I recommend.
Great to work with! The owner came to give the estimate and go over options. We decided to go with his suggestion of LED can lights which are awesome! He wore booties so he didnt track anything in the house even after I told him he didnt have to (The other company did not and they walked all over my brand new area rug with their boots). The crew showed up on time and were very courteous and explained everything to my wife. I stopped at home to see the progress and they put plastic over everything...floors and all. I got home from work and you couldnt even tell they were there other than the new lights! NO DAMAGE TO MY PLASTER CEILING! NO NEED TO REPAIR ANY DAMAGE! This was huge!. My compliments to Dan and his staff!
I was very pleased with the installation of my chandelier. We have an 18 foot ceiling and they installed it with no problem. They were very professional by wearing shoe covers and covering the carpet with drop cloths. They even moved all of the furniture back and took away the trash before they left. I highly recommend them and look forward to using them for future projects.

Great experience, Dan explained everything to me and I signed. John and his newly hired helper done a wonderful job on the install. Kept me in the loop. John spackled a spot on the kitchen wall that they did not create. I respected that a lot. Had to come back out because on of the garage door openers failed. John even called the mfgr. of the unit to get details as it was baffling. Received one unit with two broken glass panels, still waiting on that to be replaced. Im confident it will be handled shortly.

2022-07-25Our office A/C was out during a stretch of 90- degree days. Although they were busy, they were able to fit us in quickly and repair the issue at the breaker box. I have used Fair Electric several times, including at my home, and the electricians are professional and knowledgeable.

2022-07-28I had an above ground pool installed and needed an outlet put in for the pump. Dan and Teresa have been so helpful. Dan came out on time and told me what needed to be done and what work I could do in preparation. I would recommend them 100 percent.

2022-06-13I called with short notice to get an estimate on a panel replacement and Dan made it out the same day, which was great since I was only in town a few days. Price was fair and Dan took the time to answer all of my questions as well as thoroughly explain the work that will be done.

2022-08-09Owner came to give estimate, nice guy. One of the things we needed was a 2-story foyer chandelier placed. Estimate showed a charge for chandelier install, charge for height over 8ft, and a scaffolding charge. We didnt understand why they couldnt just use a 2 person ladder, and didnt really think the scaffolding was necessary but trusted their expertise. Still more expensive for the install than the light alone. Eeek. But moved forward with the work. Different people show up to do the work. Immediately upon entering my house, they say dont need scaffolding. OK fine. They install new chandelier pretty quickly. Get my bill and they still charged for the scaffolding. I called and was told they had to rent it and thus I am still charged. While, I do understand to some extent, I felt that shouldve been told upfront. Had we known, we wouldve said just use a 2 person ladder. We had the same exact chandelier placed in a previous house with almost exact entryway. Didnt need scaffolding. I feel the owner shouldve been able to determine scaffolding wasnt needed as quickly as the install people... is this a money making ploy? I dont know. Take a few measurements and you can determine if your ladder will fit in the space, right? Isnt that the point of the $85 service call charge included in my $2030 bill? Ultimately they gave me a $40 off the $125 scaffolding charge. Then I go to pay the remaining balance (they require a deposit upfront) and I realized my balance was higher than it should be. Somehow they added an additional ceiling fan to the outstanding balance total (charged me for 3 ceiling fans instead of 2, but the charge for the fans was less than what it shouldve been for 3). It was $80 over the remaining balance. I called and spoke with the not so pleasant face of their company- and she said well let me look at it and then says well all we can do is give you a check. I said ok fine. Then says, well Im not saying youre getting any money back, it has to be looked over first. I said ok, well its simple math. Here is my estimate, I paid a deposit of X and the balance should be X. I never got a sorry, I apologize for the oversight, nothing. Get an email from the owner saying I will be receiving a check. Again, not even a simple sorry about that. Clearly someone went into the spread sheet and made 2 changes- increased the total number of fans AND the cost of the fans. A little bit of upfront honestly and customer service goes a long way. I get, mistakes happen, but take ownership. The work itself was fine. Not perfect (wiring not secured as tightly as some electricians would secure along your basement ceiling rafters), but its fine. Moral of the story- ask questions and look over your bills closely.

2021-07-23We lost half of electric service to the house. After several calls to electricians who did not have availability, I called Fair Electric. Within 3 hours Dan Fair was out to survey the problem and provided an estimate. His crew was here 2 hours later. They quickly found the underground fault, dug to the broken wire and repaired it with a splice. I was back in business in less than one and a half hours later. The knowledge, professionalism and quick resolution were greatly appreciated. I would recommend Fair Electric as a great company to do business with!
