Extended Stay America - Cleveland - Brooklyn in other cities:
Had a so called non smoking room. That was a good thing. Until you wake up to the smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom (overwhelming at times) which seemed to waft in from another room and permeate the entire unit.It also looked like the previous tenants had also smoked in the room due to cigarette ashes left in the window sill and burn mark on bathroom sink/counter. Also it was an annoying experience to have to continuously walk thru all the peoples cigarette smoke every time you went in or out the front lobby. Despite the signs posted.. Do not smoke 100 ft of hotel entrance.. people were about 10-12ft from the doors. No one there to enforce it either.Couldnt complain to front desk if we wanted to because the front desk ( for whatever reason) person was rarely there when we went by.
STAY AWAY from this place. There are other better places for same price right in the area.My experience for 1-week stay, I was forced to pay $100 for a night:- Even though there is a kitchen in the room there were no plates, no cups, no utensils, no pots, no pans. All the shelves were empty. On inquiry, I had to personally go to the front desk and carry all the kitchen stuff up to my room. Even then it was rationed.- Dirty stains all over the room. Carpet very bad shape. Massive stains on chairs and sofa.- Only one thin blanket in the room.- Room phone did not work.- TV did not work.- Door lock did not work. My belongings were exposed.- No hair dryer available.- Unlike other hotels where a hold is placed on the credit card, this place charges your credit card for 7-days stay right at check-in.- If you checkout a day earlier, you will end up paying a lot of extra hidden cost. I was penalized $230 extra because I checked out a day early.- Moe was not helpful or friendly. I was not provided a receipt at check-out. When asked for it he was rude, dismissive and seemed confused when asked to explain extra charges on the receipt. As per Moe their computer system takes more than 12 hrs. to calculate how much a customer has to pay for their stay.- They advertise a weekly rate which can change at any time during the stay and customers credit cards will be charged.
We were a walk in guest checking in. Front desk clerks was new and did her job great, however the cleaning crew and maintenance crew need some major help!! Room 303 at the Brooklyn Ohio location was/is a disaster. Daughter turned on air conditioner and stuff started flying out of it, after inspection there is clearly a biscuit or bread like bun clearly been in there for some time that started to fly out in crumbs. Then we noticed the light switch cover was broken, then noticed all the finger nail polish stained across the carpet, then the bathroom still had hair, hair clips, bobby pins in the corner of the floor. Kitchen floor sticky, then my wife was undoing the bed to lay down after a long day of driving she noticed a lot of long hair in the sheets. After spending over a half hour to get my refund and also had my dinner cold from waiting to get my refund. I strongly dont recommend this place at all. Then reading the reviews about bed bugs and cleanliness complaints. I shouldve read those before hand. This place needs help.
Really there are few things that are wrong with this hotel... the staff is human and try their best to deal with things... however as of late, safety has become a problem! There have been an increasing number of times where my family and I have had to close a door to the outside because it was braced with a rock or something else at any given time(meaning 24/7). Keycards exist for a reason, the management has been told too many times about this issue, yet has not posted a sign or anything else to encourage guests to remember their keycards if they go outside...
Kitchen with no plates, no cups, no pots, pans, utensils, napkins...nothing. Stay on top floor, people above you sound like they can fall through the floor at any moment. Elevator is slow. Pros....great location to other restaurants and highway, includes free parking. Nice front desk gentleman and they are pet friendly, charged $20 each of my 2 dogs. Id recommend, but if you plan to make meals, call ahead & stay on 3rd level.
I got the opportunity to stay in extended stay Brooklyn for more than a month. I came from California for my project. The first person I talked with on the phone was Geoff. he is very friendly and helpful. The next day I visited at Hotel to meet the vice manager, kelly. She is very kind to help me to find a quiet room. Also, I was interacting with Micheal and Megan there were also very helpful. During my stay, I observed all staff was kind. Next time when I come back to Brooklyn, I will be staying this extended sta America again. All the restaurants and groceries are within walking distance. Thank you all staff. Poonam
Not the best stay that I have had. I had to go to the front desk to get kitchen supplies, and was given was very minimal and I had to make 2 trips to get what I got because the pots and pans were in the dishwasher. I didnt receive a stopper for the kitchen sink, the dishdrainer didnt have the bottom tray to direct the water drainage to the sink, I ended up shopping for the things I needed including dish washing liquid. I had an iron and no ironing board, so I had to iron my clothes on the bed.
I booked my reservation through Priceline so I did save a couple of dollars. Here was the issue: in the restroom apparently someone who stayed in the room prior through some food or beverages in the garbage can in the bathroom where it splattered against the wall and has not been cleaned up and secondly and what was a disgusting moment, a toenail was in the blanket so when I pulled the covers down for the bedding the toenail fell on the carpet. Luckily we had a double room and could move to the other bed. I did bring to front desk agents attention and she took down my information for a manager to call me. I am still waiting on the call. My expectation is that the housekeeping staff does a better job in thoroughly checking to make sure that all bedding is clean and that issues such as the food being splattered on walls is properly wiped away as well. Would I stay there again. That I doubt very seriously!!!!
Negatives- the woman that is typically there during breakfast is miserable and lazy, doesnt refill or clean the breakfast area AT ALL and when we requested additional muffins she said no, so we were basically given no breakfast. The room floors are filthy! I spilled water and when I wiped it up the towel literally turned black (both the hard floor and the carpet).Positives- the afternoon/ evening staff is very pleasant, friendly and helpful, as well as the man handling garbage. Five stars for this portion of the staff! They made our stay very pleasant and met ANY request we had with a smile. Went above and beyond to be friendly and make us happy. Room was comfortable and nice to have the kitchen for a long stay. Location is fantastic with numerous stores and restaurants to choose from.*all though the rooms arent stocked with extra towels, soaps, hair dryer etc, anything you need is readily available from the front desk (as long as you dont ask the miserable old bat in the morning)
There was a soiled towel in the closet. Bed sheets smelled like perfume and sweat and were wrinkled. I had to sleep in a room where people had sex and they didnt even clean it. I know this because the night before I was sleeping in the room directly below them. The staff did nothing about the moaning and slamming noises either.Hallway smelled like cigarettes the entire week I was there, and occasionally leaked in my room. They cut off my hot water after 15 minutes in the shower.Breakfast is just cheap granola bars. This is in reference to my awful stay in January 2019.
The hotel had garbage everywhere. Literally pouring out of the garbage cans and on the floor everywhere. The whole hotel was hot and the people at the front desk were never there . No bell or nothing to insinuate someone was waiting for help. Elevator was broken. Keep going? Ok. The woman at the front desks may have been cool women outside their jobs but are not good At their daily jobs at all. Every time I asked a question they looked like that had no idea. Received no receipt for my stay . When checking out the lady wasn’t friendly. I had my 9lb dog with me when checking in and I got hit with a “u were never charged a pet fee” whilst checking out. um ok not my fault the lady who didn’t know anything when i checked in didn’t charge it WHEN I WAS HOLDING MY DOG WHILE CHECKING IN and for a hotel like that I gotta pay a pet fee I was never told about? Whatever. I paid it and left. Didn’t want to be in a place like that any longer. Not worth my money or my time , I should have went next door. If the people were more helpful and considerate I wouldn’t have minded the other issues because it IS a cheap hotel.
It bothers me that Google has this listed as a 2 star hotel. It is certainly in my opinion worthy of 3.5 or more. Great room setups and amenities for extended single and family stays. Furniture and chairs are in great condition at least for my experience. So far no crackhead has managed to burn the place down by leaving a stove on only because of a timely response by the fire dept. The best part is the price deals. I highly recommendEdit - I was here for 6 months. Other than the cleaning crew getting a little too handy with my toothbrush and the occasional idiot causing the fire alarms going off in the middle of the night I cant complain considering the situation I was in. You do have to be careful about extending your reservation at the right times to avoid a price hike if you need this for multiple months at a time. They did stop providing laundry detergent at the counter but after the laundry renovation all the dryers work and I didnt have any issues with shady people in the laundry room. Just be careful about taking a hot shower with the bathroom door closed. If you open the door too fast the heat and steam coming out can set of the fire alarm right above that door
Customer service was great! Melissa was very helpful and friendly! The only reason for the 4 star. Is that the first room we had smelled very bad of cigarettes (smoke free room)! Melissa quickly got us settled into a new room. She even called the room to make sure everything was good. The other thing was the bed was a little to hard for me. :)
Not a good experience. The front desk counter was disgusting. The third floor smelled like dirty soiled diapers. The bed felt like sleeping on concrete. The air conditioner in our room sounded like a lawn mower. The shower was decent and employees were polite. Booked through hotwire so the price was decent but they have no hot breakfast, no room service, no hair dryers in the rooms, no conditioner available, no pool, no fitness center. I will spend the extra $40 next time for a better hotel. Ill never stay again.
There was no one to greet me when I arrived, a janitorial walked by and shouted that there was someone up front...then a representative came to the front. She was not dressed well. She had holes in her dingy white polo shirt. She was not friendly. After getting checked in, the hallway smelled nice...must have been near the laundry room because it smelled like fabric softener. Our room was clean. Only thing was that it contained a kitchenette, but not a single dish, pan, glass or silverware. No coffee maker. Good thing I did not plan to cook during our stay. No MAJOR issues, but my family is low maintenance. Warm shower and clean bed is all we needed. I would stay again, but expect poor service and no extras.
Broken lamp light, loud ticking noise from the refrigerator. It sounded like a rodent was trying to get out of the wall. The wi-fi kept turning off while in the middle of our meeting. Looked like no one wipes anything down. Dust on lamp shades and bulbs..chair had something on the side. pictures show.
Staff members are not only kind and courteous but also dedicated and hard working based on my own personal observation. As a United States Marine Veteran, the staff has personally saved my life, having dealt with PTSD symptoms from combat and facing suicidal ideations. Karla, Paula, Moe and the Jens took time away from their busy schedule to assist me in my recovery and as a result stopped me from harming myself. For this I thank you all for reminding me the value of hard work and kindness. Im am pleased to know there are people that will fight for me as I have fought for them. Again I thank you all. :)
Great location. But the rooms are very dirty, smelly and noisy. We had 2 rooms. One smelled like old cigarette smoke and was so dusty. There are only 2 hotels in that vicinity and this one was a good deal. But you truly get what you pay for. Oh I should mention the staff was very nice.
Granola bars , muffins and coffee for breakfast. This area could be larger only one guest can fit at a time. No coffee pots in room. No soap, no hair dryers, 2 towels only. Surprised because this is an extended stay hotel. Staff was polite. Clientele a bit shady. Smoking weed in the elevators, when we told staff she immediately cleaned it to get rid of the smell. If in area I would stay again. Very convenient in an area with not many hotels
The very worst place i have ever stayed at. Starting from waiting from someone at the front desk to check in to having to come back to front desk to have my door key activated. Was supposed to be a smoke free room and it reaked of smoke. I have bug bites all over my legs and my daughter has them on her fingers. The pillows were like sleeping on cardboard. The towels were filthy. I mean filthy. When i went to check out the clerk did not even ask if i was satisfied, and proceeded to tell her my review and she said she will tell the manager. Overall a 1 star is too much for this place. The health department should be called.
Decided to check out Extended Stay America Suites. Was on a short sales call with GM near Cleveland so I thought I would try them out because I have some long term assignments in Indiana comming up. I can say I was impressed by this little apartment looking thing. It was clean, quiet, smells rather nice. Was able to use the full kitchen to cook dinner. (I love to cook anyways) They dont play the hotel points game. Which is about the only reward for being away from your family. However, the homey atmosphere may hit the spot. As a reliable supplier of long term intern housing - this may very well be home away from home.
Was very clean. Even had Glade plug-ins plugged up everywhere. Fresh scent throughout the hotel. Had brand new sheets and pillows 👍👍 bathroom was exceptionally clean👍👍 kitchen area and stove was clean. Updated flat screen TV. No bed bugs😀 ample closet space.. enjoyed my time there..
Beware!! this Hotel is disgusting! My room had bugs and smelled of pets! They refused to move me and credit me two night which I refused to stay! I left early to the Double Tree Hotel in Independence its a great Hotel. Moe @ the front desk lie and continue to dance threw excuse after excuse for not moving me the second night. I would give them NO stars but not available!!
Fairly clean room, and huge fridge but no silverware, cookware, etc. All must be requested from the front desk.biggest complaint: worst soap I have ever used.shampoo, hand soap, and shower soap seem to be inert plastic-esque pucks with minimal cleaning properties. Also, this hotel offers coin operated laundry, but no soap available for purchase. So, if you have your own dish soap, laundry soap, shower soap, and silverware, this is a a great place to stay.
The room was humid, smelled and was filthy. The tub was uncleaned, looked as if someone pee’d on the toilet lid, blood stains on the carpet, white substance on the tv, large chipped hole in the wall, carpet unvacuumed. To top it all off, they gave a way the room that I booked and this was the dump they had left for me. I left three hours after check in because it felt disgusting. I also messaged the hotel for someone to call me and no response. When I left they would not check me out, I was informed they would make a note. I now have no Receipt To prove check out time
Walked in the elevator sounded like it was going to break, whole floor smelled like cigarettes. Walked into the room to use the restroom and there was PEE ON THE TOILET. Crumbs on the counter and the floor. You could see footprints on the floor. I’m so disgusted. Do not stay here!! I want my money back.
It is horrible, when I get a call from sister to come get her, because she could see druggies doing their transactions outside her window, her window is cracked and it was cold in her room, and they didnt have something as simple as a phone charger or USB port to charge her phone, that she had to walk in the middle of the night to Sheetz to buy one. This place is disgusting. Spent the night trying to find her something better. I understand youre a 2 star motel, cant call you a hotel, but you can at least find some pride in providing better service and safety.
It was awful paid for a room they gave to someone else nothing in the room no wastebaskets no ice buckets no coffee pot no cups or plastic utensils dirty tub. Rusty burners. I wont stay there again it was in Cleveland staff was nasty complaining about to many checkouts in front of us
Clean spacious rooms, friendly helpful staff, great kitchenette in room, spacious bathroom with great water pressure, offer kitchen and bath supplies if needed, & good wifi. Other guests are friendly.Only changed sheets and did housekeeping once a week though. No pool or business center.
Parking lot had random sketchy people just hanging out. Front desk counter was so gross. Rooms are all non-smoking? Had to change rooms due to a strong smoke smell. RoomWas not clean. The ceiling had some kind of red splatter, lampshade had stains, the floor had a ton of stains, and walls had stains as well. Was itchy as soon as I got into the bed. Bed Bugs? You can hear every noise possible. Breakfast? Oatmeal packets, and granola bars, what a joke! Will not stay here ever again!
It was a pleasant stay here. Most of the cooking utensils and cutlery were provided by them. Also we get a complimentary Grab and go breakfast which includes Muffins, Oats cookies and Oat Porridge Satchet along with Coffee. Room was sleek and today. Clothes can be washed for 3 USDs in the common washing machines with tokens. Overall it was nice and felt like home
It was the most disgusting hotel at which I have ever stayed. My check-in experience was awful. It was late and the front desk clerk was not friendly. I was going to shower when I arrived and the bathroom was filthy; but, it was so late I just decided to go to bed. The hot plate was also filthy. I was grateful I didnt need to cook. The bathroom was stocked with already opened bars of soap and shampoo. I will never stay at an extended stay again.
I stayed here on a 9 Day Solo Business trip in October 2017. Overall it was a great location with many chain restaurants within walking distance and an excellent sports bar Hooley House right next door. Room was clean and comfortable, has a small kitchen with microwave, hotplates and full size fridge which is great for those that want to buy your own drinks and stuff and not live on take out. Room size is slightly larger than your standard hotel room but note that the rooms are only serviced once a week (new bedding, towels, etc....but you can request for your room to be made up for a small cost). Breakfast is very basic, but they have hot coffee, muffins, granola bars and single serve oatmeal available. Another bonus is a well equipped self-serve laundry with industrial washers and dryers. Cost is $2 per machine per load, it came in very handy! Recommended for those on 7+ day visit that want something better than your standard hotel room. Accounts are settled weekly in advance. Staff are friendly and responsive. Recommended.
The room smelt like a huge cigarette and no room service had to take my own trash out when thats what room services n house keeping is for. I got blamed for smoking when the whole hotel smells like smoke and other drugs. The trash room was full of trash couldnt even put my trash in the room because it was soo full.
Stayed one night this week came late, Staff that night was very nice. Rom had a smell but she sprayed it and it seem to go away. My complaint is I left my phone cord there and it seemed to have disappeared. So that place has a thief Needless to say I am very upset those cords are not cheap..
Beware! They have bed bugs!! The halway and main lobby smelled fine but once we entered our room (#128) on 9/26-27. The room had a very strong stale cigarette smell it was even in the bed sheets and pillow. The bed sheets had stains. We stayed two nights and my skin broke out in itchy red bumps and now days later and I still have the itchy bites. Beware!! I have never had such skin reaction from traveling and staying in different hotels until staying here! We notified management havent had a call or reponseback and I doubt they took care of the bugs in the room from their lack of response.Plus the floor outlet was broken my kid could have easily put his finger in there and walls stripping was falling apart! Terrible experience.
If you have a pet its $25 bucks. I booked thru Priceline. Priceline DIDNT disclose that information. Other than that it was so/so. Very outdated, thin bed spread and comforter. Wash clothes and towels were worn and dingy. Good note it was quiet, staff was friendly and check in/ check out was easy.
Horrible and disgusting. Booked one of the 2 double rooms left. Came in last night, very cold and unfriendly service. The beds were really uncomfortable, and ofcourse the place was really smelly, one bed had brown stains and stuff, the 2nd bed had bug carcasses from LONG time ago and weird stuff on it. We requested a room change, next room was WORSE! it smelled worse, pubic hair on the bed and a water puddle on the carpet, no compensation nor offering of 2 individual rooms. We left, went to Holliday Inn for $30 extra dollars, slept like a baby there.
Has pros and cons. Pro is that the staff is nice. Multiple cons however. Seen a bug by the stove. There was blood on the white board in the elevator, and they need to take down the poster from Christmas. It is almost halfway through March now. Bathtub was dirty, old shower curtain. New towels and washclothes that were given had thick black hair imbedded in to them. Thats just gross, really Everything needs to be updated. The breakfast is muffins, granola bars, coffee and tea.
What I can I say I been there since Jan 11 2021 until may 28 2021 I always paid on time when I loss my job I always told them imma pay my full balance on this coming up Tuesday cause I came with money yeah jenn and carla help and to be there for me but lastnight that young girl told me I had to leave with my kids it was cold and raining and if they would of waited today I got all my money today I would of paid them but no I guess they wanted me out so they can rent to someone else room 221 formally
Absolutely horrible recommended for third floor they put me on the first floor right next to the office the phone in the room doesnt work the room is dirty and still cant get nobody to the room and Im right next door to the front desk wheres hotel stay ever. Not recommended room 111 April 4th 2021 6:37 p.m. eastern time.
I love this hotel chain. Theyre like mini apartments. This one was a bit smaller than the ones Ive stayed in before. The bathtub was much more comfortable. However, if I was actually staying for an extended period of time, the size of the room would be the deciding factor on which location to choose. Overall it was perfect for the price. And Im not kidding when I say the bathtub was comfortable. I like it better than my tub at home.
Pretty decent hotel, especially considering I got a great deal through Priceline for $44/night. Well-maintained and clean rooms, with all the typical essentials. My room had a kitchenette, with dishes I could request from the front desk, but didnt have time to cook. Dont expect much more, like a continental breakfast, or cheery staff!
I loved this place at one time, but I would like it known that this hotel is a pet friendly, or at least I thought it was. I was kicked out because my dog was whining to loud for someone. That is something that dogs do when they miss their master or mistress. After all I payed what I was told to pay when I checked in. My dogs are well train and they are very helpful with my handicap wife. I am a US Army vet that feels as though I was kicked out due to the fact that the women who is a night time employee did not like something that the day manager did for me. These pictures show how clean the rooms are when you check in. Hair in the tub, and human waste splash on the underside of the toliet, and Im kicked out because my dog whins.
Never stayed at chain before. Guess it would be OK for longer stay due to kitchen. Just got room for 1 night and would not do it again as amenities are few.Had to sign a waiver that we would be charged $250 if we smoked in room as it was Non-Smoking. Dont mind signing waiver but expect room to actually Non-Smoked which it wasnt.Cigarette burns in furniture and definitely other signs and smells of previous smoking. Will not be back
My wife and I visited Extended Stay America near the Cleveland airport last night, at the recommendation of a relative. The only room available was a double bed room for $110/night, which seemed like an average rate. However, upon arriving, we noticed what seemed to be a lady of the night entertaining the electricians and construction workers staying at the hotel. We went ahead and paid for our room and got the keys because we were already there, but after entering the room, we were overwhelmed with a terrible smell that was difficult to identify. I checked the cabinets in the kitchenette and found non-perishable food items still in the cupboard, and the beds felt like cinderblocks. We decided to opt for a refund and stay in the neighboring Hampton Inn. The management at ESA was gracious in refunding our money, and even called to follow up.
Horrible! The hallways, the room smelled awful! Smelled like food left out for a year moxed with a dead body. We prepaid so we didn’t want to lose our money on one night so we tried to sleep as much as we could and we are out of there now at 730 am. Not even staying for breakfast! The Hampton next door looks like a better option! Don’t come here!!
Hotel is a bad experience. Ask for Credit card for incidentals. Asked Employee where this policy is posted. She shows us our paper which says no incidentals will be paid. So there is no policy. The halls smell of food cooked in rooms. Rooms are in good condition. Wifi is a buy up experience. Bad. Several eateries are located within walking distance.
If youre into beds that leave you feeling like a lumberjack spent the whole night swinging an axe at your middle back and front desk staff who have never heard of Expedia, then this is the hotel for you! That being said, the location is convenient and the rooms are fairly clean.
I pulled the easy chair out from the corner and there were Cheetos and finger nails on the floor. When I pointed this out to the morning desk person her response was I will let the manager know. There was no apology or anything. Who knows where else they are cutting corners in cleaning. Will not stay there again.
When you are on the road all the time, it is nice to have a place to stay that has a kitchenett with a stove top, microwave, sink and full size refridgerator. Staff and housekeeping were very accommodating. Room was very clean and smelled decent. I would stay there again!
Rude workers and the rooms smelled musky! There was no silverware or utensils. The alarm cord was cut from the oulet ans the tv was blurry because of bad cable connection. It said continental breakfast but is was a basket of muffin, granola bars and coffee. Worst hotel ever!!
Hotel looks good, but service was terrible, the general manager Shawna Cowger trying to scare us and told that she can call for somebody and we will be in big trouble for things where was not our foult! Also, in room didnt work half of lamps, in kitchen not all electricity thinks worked. Furthermore, we found black hears in our bed, when my girlfriend is blondy, so it means that they didnt changed the towels after last customers. They telling that breakfast is included, but not all the staff know breakfast time. On table where was a coffee, they didnt had a spoon to mix coffee. It was the last time when i stay here...
Very nice, updated rooms.Complaints others made that are true:***Yes, it can be a bit noisy, I can hear the lady in the room next door talking loudly a million miles a minute while Im laying in my bed and the hallway noise is constant the doors shut loudly so you hear everyone on your floor every time and they go into or depart from their rooms. HOWEVER, this really doesnt bother me at all because my TV and the AC unit can drown it out and everyone settles down at night so there isnt much movement anyway to hear and speak of.***The free breakfast that is mentioned doesnt really deserve the mention. It consist of coffee, granola bars, oatmeal packets, and individually wrapped muffins (that are dry and barely palatable). So if a free breakfast is something you consider important when choosing a hotel, you will be disappointed here. To me, a wonderful breakfast is a pleasant surprise/perk, but doesnt carry much weight in my decision considering that the value of the breakfast at hotels is nearly always less than $5. Choose the better value, and go to McDonalds or Dunkin.***Housekeeping isnt free! If youre staying a while and would like your sheets changed once a week, new towels every couple days, or a vacuum run every once in awhile, reasonably, this is a $10 a day upcharge. If youre only staying a few nights, perhaps even a week, you can forego the housekeeping without any grief (except perhaps fresh towels and washcloths after the second shower), but if you will be here awhile (and this is Extended Stay America, so many guests are migrant contractors that stay a month or two) this may be irritating.
It was a nice stay. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the hotel was quiet. Internet was a bit slow, so I had to upgrade for the stay in order to get work done, but price wasnt. I would recommend staying here if youre going to be in town for a few days and want to avoid eating out.
BED BUGS!!!!!! DIRTY SHEETS!!!!! I stayed at the Extended Stay Hotel and was not pleased at all. I made reservations for a suite and when I arrived, I was told that the suite was taken, but a single room was available. I complained to the clerk and explained how unhappy I was that they gave away my reserved suite. I accepted the single room relutantly. I went to bed anticipating a good night sleep, but was awaken a few hours later by bed bugs nibbling away at arm. I jumped out of bed, cut on the lights, and they scattered. I took pictures of them, got dressed and went to the front desk, asked for my money back so I could leave. The desk clerk stated that they could not give my money back before they investigate the issue. I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager and was told that they it was not possible. I would have to leave a telephone number and the manager would call me back. I left feeling very disappointed.
No 24 hour news channels. During an impeachment probe of the President of the United States. They have what is supposed to be CNN, but it is a 24 hour infomercial for Dish Network. Somehow there are 3 ESPNs, and a few other channels, half of which are viewable. When I complained, they were like, well, that is just how our cable agreement is. What? Change it then. Whose genius idea was that? I have NEVER stayed in hotel in the US with no news stations. There are very few affordable hotel options in the immediate vicinity, so if you MUST be here, you might have to suck it up, but dont expect to watch television here.
Disgusting and disappointing! Among many reason never to stay here again, here are the top 3: bathroom came equipped with urine dripping down the sides and pubic hair clinging to it, sink was rimmed with shaving soap/stubble scum, and last but not least, large, dark red stains all over the carpet. We have pictures... department of health should shut this place down in our opinion. And to think we actually paid $100 for one night-someone couldnt pay us that much to ever stay again. Gross!
At check in the reception told wifi will work with room number and name. When it did not work they kept telling the same thing. I had to go down to reception and then they realised it was down. They asked me to call their maintenance team!! I had to speak to be on the hold for over 45 minutes to get wifi working. The reception staff was not at all supportive. Also the 3rd floor reeked and smelled like an old hotel. Terrible experience - have had better experience earlier at other locations
My parents stayed for a visit recently and the person they spoke with weeks in advance screwed up their reservation, the hotel didnt even know they were coming. They ended up having to stay in a handicap room which wasnt ready yet, so we had to leave and come back later so they could actually get in. They should have been given some sort of discount for the trouble since it was the hotels fault but barely even got an apology. Other than that they said everything was ok. For the price of these rooms I would expect a lot more in terms of customer service.
Just dont stay here. by the time you pay for wifi that actually works you could afford a much nicer hotel. Dont stay if you want a non-smoking room. The side entrance is used by smokers and the smell permeates the rooms. The hotels solution was to put an ashtray right under the no smoking sign so they dont have to pickup the butts. Tried multiple times to call the front desk to ask they address the issue. No answer. Th next day they said the elevator was broken so they could answer the phone. Elevator was working in the morning though..
Not one of my favorite places. Its old and outdated, the staff (2 people) looked exhausted and over worked. Many things in the hotel didnt work, including the lights in our room and when reported to the front desk the response was that, you just have to jiggle it. We were scheduled to say 2 nights but checked out and went to another hotel.
I had a horrible experience with the Extended Stay in Brooklyn as well as the one in North Olmsted. A General Manager named Stacy was very Un professional and I personally dont see how she obtained her position. She is very prejudice and feels she is above bad things happening to her....on the other hand..McKenzie..And Jess..the Manager were dolls in every manner. Thankyou
Identity theft BEWARE!!!! If you book through a third party booking site the will require you give them your picture ID and your credit card and they will make a copy machine copy of each to hold onto for their records. Which theyll hold onto at the front desk (unsecured). I said no way are you making a permanent record of my DL and my credit card. Just be aware they dont take the security of your personal information seriously at all.
Leaving the hotel one of their employees said she was an uber driver. She was. She gave me a lift to downtown. Because of St Patricks Day festivities in the area I was left a bag in her car containing a laptop and expensive cosmetics. She made an excuse not to meet me later then began dodging my calls. The hotel refuses to help me locate her.
Staff Crystal, Melissa, Jessica and Mrs Lin were wonderful, my place had a fire and when walls were opened while I was away, found other issues unsafe so I stayed at your Brooklyn hotel, I was suppose to be in bed rest and they were extremely caring to any needs I had. Dont loose this team, they were the reason I stayed 3 months until I relocated to a new apartment. Thank them for me! Sandra Stewart
How can u claim to be an extended stay hotel when i call to get pricing to pay for a month in advance i was offered no discount whatsoever she simply said its $79 a night so for the month it would be $2,500. Its very uncommon for an extended stay hotel to not offer a discount if u are prepaying a month in advance. THIS PLACE IS NOT AN EXTENDED STAY HOTEL SO IF U R LOOKING FOR ONE JUST KEEP ON LOOKING
The rooms are excellent beds are super comfy staff is very very friendly and very helpful and everything is exceptionally clean the rooms are very clean extended stay America could improve upon is the grab and go breakfast and more selection in coffee and the shampoo , tissues are sand paper but as far as all that I would bring my family back thank you Extended Stay America
When me my cousin her friends and my aunt got there the room had2bed bugs and true my cousin said that their roomsmell like piss in our room smell like spaghetti plus that terrible Wi-Fi the breakfast there was $300 per person and we had to call we luckily got out the room safely we didnt end up in hospital but we found the comfort in that had a pool the hotel we first one to didnt even have a pool
I only stayed here one night the place was very clean and it was very nice especially for the money the staff are friendly and kind helpful if youre looking for a place to stay this is definitely a good price with a clean place and friendly staff Gavin Rashad you wont be disappointed
I stayed at this hotel for three nights which totaled well over $150 on my third night I ran a bath for me and my child and I had no hot water I asked for a refund or 50% off another night and I was told I had to check with the manager in the morning which is very unprofessional water hot is a basic necessity at any hotel and to not have hot water and be told the maintenance guy has gone home is very rude and unprofessional not to mention they advertise free Wi-Fi but in all actuality the Wi-Fi so slow you’re practically forced to pay the extra five dollars for high-speed Wi-Fi definitely a last choice only stay here if you’re desperate!!!!
Horrible. Lights went out. They didnt even want give refund had to talk to 4 different people and took 5 days just to get a response. They front desk was disrespectful about the whole situation. I would figure they would offer us a room at another location but said we can check out and get a refund
Was ok, could have swept my room at least and not one single thing was in kitchen even tho there was a card stating all the things that were supposed to be there, there wasnt anything at all, had to put the bed on the frame myself because it was completely off on one side falling in
This place is racist and so the manager hereSo i went to friends birthday here and we went swimming when we did the manager saw we were there and asked us to get out of the pool cause we didnt have wristbands when no one else in the pool had wristbands so only the people of color got kicked out the manager also wanted us to leave and as we were leaving he put hands on a women and forced her to leave.I suggest not going here if your skin has color

2022-06-12Let me say first, the staff at the desk was really nice, I have no complaints about them. My room however, room 129, I have some comments about. The bathroom was pretty nice, but outside of the bed being made, it didn’t seem like our room had been cleaned before our arrival, definitely not vacuumed. Our first experience, there was a plunger handle jammed in the door to prop it open, which seems kind of gross. Secondly, and anyone that stays in 129 can probably confirm, there are stains on the carpet that may have been really dark BBQ sauce, or possibly blood stains. I’m not sure. The bed was clean, the mattress was good, but the pillows left a lot to be desired. Another room might have been totally cool, my room was definitely one star.

2022-03-07We enjoyed our stay. The affordable nature of the hotel did not lead to a sacrifice of cleanliness. We, however, were disappointed because the hotel advertised breakfast on their website but they have not had breakfast since Covid began. If they were to accurately advertise their amenities, we would have rated them higher.

2022-01-02This location is decent and could definitely be better. The rooms are pretty clean on the surface, but if you dig down a little youll probably find some things that need a little more effort put in.. The rooms have a kitchenette in them and this one is no different, but they gave us 1 spoon, 2 forks and 6 butter knifes..lol.. 2 coffee mugs, 1 bowl and 2 plates.. So there is enough flatware and dinnerware for one person forsure. But a quick call to the front desk resulted in 2 of everything. So good customer service, friendly staff and decent rooms and all at an affordable rate compared to other places with the same amenities...

2022-06-24I am not happy with the company or facility. They booked the wrong location, so when I called to confirm the agent told me I didnt have a reservation. The next location was 20 minutes down the road, so I made reservation again! They billed the wrong card and when I called American Extended stay the lady said I had 2 booking at this location. The original agent booked the wrong location! Thank goodness I called. The room is so dirty and smells like pickles and a giant ashtray. There are cigarette ash on the windowsill, ick on the AC, the carpet is horribly stained, there is pubic hair in the tub (not ours!🤮), theres a build up of cleaner mixed with hair on the shower surround, pink mold and hair on the bathroom ceiling, dust bunnies hanging from the ceiling, hairs and particulates on the bed sheets, and grime on everything!!! Everywhere else is booked, so I dont have the option to cancel and stay somewhere else. I am stuck here! This place is so icky. The women working the evening shift is very sweet and friendly, this is the only positive about our stay. Never again.

2022-05-13Dirty room. A woman’s bracelet under a nightstand. Broken phone under the bed. Drawers were filthy. Key card works half the time.

2021-12-27Very noisy, people walking and running over my head all day and night. Called downstairs to request change of room, they wouldnt accommodate me. Ask front desk to go ask them to stop running at 430a. It didnt work. Key pad to get in side do so I didnt have to bring my dog thru the front door, did not work. Elevator went out. Have a stove, but no cooking pots, pan, cups, plates, spoons, etc. Only one cart in entire building to bring your things to room. And it was always gone. Only one person could take a hot shower. Everyone else had to take a cold shower. I have traveled all around the world. This is the worst hotel ever. Will never stay at a extended stay hotel again. I will take all that money i spent elsewhere.

2022-04-13If youd like to visit Cleveland, this is a great spot not too far from the city. Usual low end hotel feel, but they try.
