Extended Stay America - Cleveland - Beachwood - Orange Place - North in Beachwood
We rested well, so the most important thing about a motel was a success! Front office staff were OK but not overly impressed with the motel as a whole. It seemed to be useful for workers staying in the area, as the room had a kitchen, plus we saw a lot of workers also. The rate reflected a much higher grade motel. I would not recommend the motel to my friends.
Dirty carpet, lousy mattress, pillows 2x past their use-by dated, smelly rooms (arent they supposed to be no-smoking ones?), smell of weed in the corridors, bathtub in need of good cleansing, noisy in-room HVAC (is it ever dusted and cleaned?) and fridge that thinks its a race car. Noise permeates and disturbs sleep. In my view, $30 a night is too much for this place. Never again!
I would rate 0 stars if available. Made reservations and payment three days in advance. When I arrived, I was assigned a room. We immediately realize that the room had not been cleaned. I not stating it was cleaned poorly. Im stating that it wasnt cleaned at all. The hotel then told us that there wasnt any rooms available. There were at least four other people at the counter who had made reservations, and made payment who were told that there were no available rooms. I have stayed in hotels several hundred times and this by far the worst. Im sure they will want to charge me even though there were no rooms available. It appears they are greedy and overbooked without regard of their constumers.
Positive: I did like that the room was easy to find and that it was clean. The room looked very nice. Negative: I didn¿t like the customer service. The staff at the desk seemed like they had an attitude and I didn¿t like that. In my room we had everything except for a trash bag and cups like they normally give. And didn¿t want to give us new towels. Also no
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!This is hotel is independently owned and it shows! The lobby and elevator were dirty and smelled bad! The hallways are dirty and smelled like weed! There was no comforter on the bed and the floors were dirty! As soon as I saw the room, I immediately went to the lobby to get my money back! Dont let the pictures fool you!
Just arrived at 5am after driving 8 hours only to find that my reservation through the week was cancelled. No attempt to find us a new room. No explanation. We called in advance to explain that wed be arriving late on Wednesday and paid for an entire day on Tuesday so we could just arrive and be in peace. Blessing in disguise as this hotel appeared to be just as bad as its reviews upon arrival. Its dirty, smells like cigarettes and the staff didnt even great us. Just said what do you want Thank you God for looking out for us on this one!
I dont like to complain much about anything unless it was a terrible experience like staying here. Room wasnt clean and some appliances werent working properly. There was hair on bed, bathroom sink and shower walls and floor. Everyone uses the excuse of covid, but theres no reason to make sure a room is clean before handling it to a guest. Not staying there again EVER!
Positive: Location! Negative: You guys seriously need to inspect this hotel! It is ridicously nasty, outdated, and hideous! Refrigerator is old with dents! Tub was nasty! Wood grain on sink chipped and peeling! Bedskirt was half on half off the bed! The air conditioner stanked!
Room was dirty.Very minimal supplies(2 towels, 2 pillows, no coffee maker, hair dryer etc.)Was supposed to have a fitness center it was closed. Was supposed to have grab and go breakfast, did not.Upon arrival was greeted with a security guard in bullet proof vest. Will not be coming back
This place is as trashy as it gets. An independently owned franchise trading in on the reputation of the corporate locations. Rusted kitchen stove, refrigerator stuck shut with grime, no utensils at all making the kitchen useless Smelt like musty cigarettes when I got to my room, turned on the AC to clear the smell and it was like turning on a shop vac.Of course I booked through travelocity so they couldnt have cared less. Avoided this toilet bowl. Sleeping in your car would be a better option.
Positive: Location. Negative: The first impression was how dingy and dirty the lobby was. After checking in, I went to my room. There was a fowl smell, the hall was dark and walls dirty. It felt very unsafe, I left and found another place to stay, unfortunately there was no refund.
Walking to my room the hallway smelled like cat pee and cigars. Also heard dogs barking in a few of the rooms. Asked for 2 bed and only received one. The pull out couch mattress was dirty and did not have any sheets. No toilet tissue in the room or any other amenities. So disappointed I left and got another room at a different hotel
Waited over 30mins for someone to come to the lobby counter for check-in. While waiting someone else told me Do not stay here. Since Ive been here this past week Ive started feeling sick. They pointed at the vents and they were very dusty and the walls floor etc were worn and disgusting. I didnt even want to find out what the room looked like. Ended up staying at the Hampton Inn in Oakwood. You get what you pay for and this is not exception. Very disappointing Extended Stay.
Called the phone number on the website and booked a week long stay. Got an email confirmation with reservation number. Drove from Washington DC and arrived at 1050p to find that they did not have a room for me and could not do anything about it. I had to find somewhere else to stay last minute at a cost of $200-$300 extra for the week. Never again.
Hotel staff that I have met are courteous & informative. Quick check in which I appreciated since I had to use the restroom like yesterday! Room was clean but bathroom needed additional cleaning, which I took care of myself. Place is in need of a renovation as it is dirty & makes you feel the same. Old & slightly rundown look to it. Door to rear parking lot not operating properly & is unsafe for hotel guests. Woman walking around high on something that will complain that you are irritating her unwatched children that hang out in the stairwells & smoking area in the back. Also For the money its okay, but Ill definitely arrange a different place to stay next time Im in town. Wanted to pick 3 1/2 stars but had to choose 3 or 4.
We ordered two rooms. We received one room that wasnt what we requested. We paid for 2 double queen deluxe rooms. We arrived to check in to find that they gave away our rooms and only had one double full room with a mini kitchen. This had to accommodate 4 children and 2 adults. The black woman that was at the front desk had an attitude problem so strong that i would have welcomed my female companion attacking her. At times in the heated argument they had about our rooms i thought it was going to go there. She falsely checked us in confirming our reservations and we did not receive and refund. Upon contacting customer service we were told that we were marked as confirmed and checked in. I tried to explain the situation to customer service. They claimed to have called the location for 3 days without response so they refused our requested refund.
One word: fleas. As soon as I sat down on the bed I had one crawling on me, and for the remainder of the evening they bit me continuously. Mind you, I do not have a pet, and did not have a pet room. Upon checking in, they did not have my reservation even though I had a printed e-mail from their website in my hand with the confirmation number. Thankfully, they still had rooms so I went ahead and booked one. The front desk lady was nice enough, but I drove quite a bit to reach a conference and I was worried that I wouldnt have a place to stay. The fleas though, thats definitely a deal-breaker for me. I rarely ever care about Hotel amenities, but when theyre fleas, thats just unacceptable. Decent location just off of 271. Close to a variety of restaurants and shops.
Positive: The room was filthy. The toilet was filthy. The electrical circuit in the kitchen did not work. The police neededto be called in the room next to me. there was a fight with people bleeding And we¿re taking away by ambulances.Someone tried to steal my ca Negative: Will not be returning.
DO NOT STAY HERE THEY LIE ABOUT YOUR RESERVATION.I ordered a room on priceline. and the day before that we were going to stay by this hotel. I called up the hotel to confirm my reservation, they said that we are all good and they had it. when I got there they said that they dont have a room for us and never had reservation onder my name
Yikes. Ok, so when I first arrived at 2pm the doors were locked to the lobby and you had to be buzzed in by the front desk with a loud magnetic door locking sound like you would expect at maybe a pawn shop or something. Once inside the front desk has a tv on the wall with the live video of you standing at the desk with red bold letters which read recording in progress to obviously let everyone know your being watched. The lady working the front desk began asking with a very monotone voice my name, what room I was visiting and name of the person Im visiting while entering it into her computer without once looking me in the eye. I stopped her to say Im here to check-in which she then began to do. While she was checking me in I asked why she was asking me all that info if I had been there to visit someone and she said cuz I need to know who you are and where your going in the building I also asked why the doors are locked at 2pm and was told for the safety of guests and the buildings security. I asked did they have some problems recently or something to which she replied not really... Fun related fact here.. the hotel does not accept cash for anything, even the vending machine ONLY takes credit cards, something I havent seen before. The signs that hang around the hotel which notify guests of various hotel policies arent in the form of dear guest, please remember this or that, thank you for staying with us, signed your thankful staff but are instead in the form of ATTENTION, this is our policy, it is required, this is not an option . Not following these rules and well kick u out, signed management. the hallways are dark, there is no furniture or much of anything when u first walk in the hotel, the public areas arent really dirty but also arent really kept clean as you would expect a hotel in this area to be. The room is bare bones, the kitchen area is basically a hotplate, a microwave that barely fits a bowl in it , fridge and sink. All the appliances are outdated almost to the point of retro, but only almost. Alarm clock looks like a hand me down, same with the phone. My room was a single queen bed and I doubt its a queen. Like a mini queen or something. Overall the hotel can be described as maybe a super 8 motel someone tried to dress up as a holiday inn or something. If you saw it you would understand what I mean by that. The place has clearly had security problems and isnt too concerned with guests feeling welcome and cared for which makes me think its a result of the type of problems the guests they are attracting have caused but Im not sure since I havent really seen many other guests since Ive been here to know.NOW WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID:The staff in the morning was very helpful and accomodating when I found out I would need to stay until about 5pm and wanted to pay for a second day since checkout was at 11. I didnt know until that point that they didnt accept any cash payments and didnt feel comfortable using my debit card. So the lady working let me keep the room until about noon while I went down the road to buy a prepaid visa card which they would accept as payment. I came back, paid for the second day and went on with my day. I thought it wouldnt be fair if I didnt mention this.So for what its worth, thats my review. Im still shocked this place is the way it is being in a prime location in beachwood ohio but there must be a reason for it that I must be missing.
When I got to the hotel everything around look good but when I got inside the hotel hook people and the front desk lady she was unprofessional and tell me we dont have more rooms avaliable and I said but I have reservation and she said a lot people has reservation but we dont have rooms. This is a disaster.
The lady Angel who checked us in was FABULOUS! Very nice, polite and considerate! Angel was the reason why I didnt rate with one star! Now on to the foolishness! I rented the room so that my husband could relax for Fathers Day. Not to mention, our Anniversary is the next day. I understand this is an inexpensive establishment with accommodations to match, so I ignored a few things going on with the room BUT I cant ignore the immense group of roofers who started working at 7:30 A.M. this Fathers Day morning!!! By 8:30 A.M., the noise and vibration was so intense, I thought they were going to fall through the ceiling!! I contacted the front desk to complain about the noise and was told, their in house crew was doing some work and she would see if they would start a little later!? Well this was obviously not an in house crew and if she did say something to them about the noise it never stopped! Im irritated and still shocked that a company would have roofing work done on a Sunday holiday!!!
This by far was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I stay at Extended Stay Hotels frequently and have never encountered such nasty rooms. The first room they gave me was dirty and I could tell the beds had been remade as there was hair in them, the handle was broken off of the refrigerator door, the cabinets were all filthy dirty inside and out. I went down and changed rooms and was put in a room that again had filthy cabinets and the refrigerator was dirty. The bathroom had bright orange and pink nail polish on the counter. The tub was black and dirty and the tub stopper was broken off and sitting on the side of the tub. This was a room that the desk girl checked after I complained about the first room. This place is completely nasty and has not been maintained properly for quite some time. The hallways and elevators had not been cleaned in a long time either. I have to travel back to this area in a month for work and they couldnt pay me to stay here again. Wish I could give this disgusting place a negative rating.
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. It was nice and peaceful. The staff was amazing. Our original room. Stove was not working so they promptly gave a new room with an upgrade. The room was very cozy. When you called the front desk for items the staff was quick to oblige your request. I will definitely be going back. Bobbi was very nice and polite. She has great customer service skills.
Worst Experience ever. I understand this is not the Hilton, but the price was not that cheap plus it is located in the nice area. Lack of service, hints we were told no towels or room cleaning while we stay the 2 nights, if we need anything and yes including extra towels to come to the front desk. We had 2 rooms booked, ours smelled horrible and nothing helped. My parents room we found a cockroach in the bathroom, disgusting. The 2nd night, 1st floor room I had a party going on right outside my window until 2 am, and yes with music drinking and all that. Front desk was not available to help, I was this close to calling the cops. But since it was only me and my son, kind of feared to do so. Very disappointing, and would not ever stay here.
When it came to coming in the room the room was not clean and wiped down and sanitized properly. Was in a room that had noise going over head constantly all night like people running and walking hard back and fourth went to front desk and no one was there even waited and still no one came just all bad I couldn’t get no sleep and still had to travel the next day
Decent Hotel with kitchen. Rooms are neat. Few of the staff members are very polite and few not so. There is a weird smell in reception area which I didnt like. Cleaning is also not done properly sometimes and had to ask them. Overall a good happy stay for more than a month.
This only gets two stars because the staff was so nice and helpful, otherwise it would get less. Upon entering the room, it was like walking into an oven. I immediately turned on the air conditioning unit but it took several hours to cool down. My biggest issue was the bathroom. The towels didnt appear to be clean and there were bugs crawling up the sink drain. These bugs were also in the tub and toilet. If there hadnt been a heat advisory and if I hadnt been completed exhausted, I probably would have demanded my money back and slept in my car. It would have been cleaner and a lot cooler.
Thankful for the front desk person who was exceptionally accommodating. Shimiya, if I have her name correct navigated our destination to the Extended Stay America . We two old seniors got lost even with a gps. Shimiya was a true blessing after we felt like the lost Griswalds. Lol ! The room was clean, quiet and spacious.
This is nothing like any Extended Stay Ive ever visited. For one thing, most of the guests Ive seen, were homeless folks with obviously serious substance issues. Im assuming, from what I was able to overhear, that this facility is used as an overflow by the state shelter system. The staff at the front desk was pleasant enough, and our room was actually clean, though the quality was the absolute minimum standard. Other than that, the place is pure disgusting, run down, low end housing. Im out of here, because I personally didnt feel safe walking to and from my car last night.
Service was adequate, and the room was clean. Its very much a no-frills stay but I didnt need extras so that was fine. The window to my room was left open before I checked in, and I wasnt aware until the next morning because the curtains were pulled to, so it was rather chilly. The vending machines and laundry facility are cashless so if youre not able to use a card for every little thing that can be a bit if an issue. I was able to extend my stay without changing rooms or having to leave the room for a period of time so that was nice.
Wow I can say this is the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in. I have stayed at several other extended stays and always enjoyed the convince this hotel by far is the worst then any other Ive stayed in. Dirty as can be we walk in the room to garbage buckets full food crumbs every where the desk drawer has receipts from February along with other garbage and food in it. The staff is unwilling to assist you with anything you need. The hotel smells like cigarette smoke supposed to be non smoking and every time I left and came back I could not get in my room had to get my key reprogramed ugh
Dont stay here. We tried checking in twice and room not ready either time. After waiting in a long line at 9:30pm waiting for our room, I needed to use restroom. The clerk told me no and told me to walk down the road next door and use Red Lobster bathrooms. Seriously. I come back to find out a clerk is up trying to clean our room. I went up to observe. We reserved two queen beds (our family is very tall) and the room had full size beds. The room was an oven, no pillowcases and not enough towels. Your free breakfast will only be a granola bar. Its just not worth the hassle, stay somewhere else.
I stayed here for one night and never again. I fell asleep around 11pm I was woke up at 1235 to loud Banging on my door… I yell what the hell and it stops. I get out of bed in shock walk to the peep hole and see the front desk worker walking away. I go back to my bed and try to call the front desk. The phone does not work. I use my cell phone to call and after 15 minutes of calling someone answers. I said someone was just banging on my door. The worker responds “oh that was me I’m sorry I was seeing if that room was available.” I checked in that same night at 8pm. I travel all the time and have never experience such a terrible stay at a hotel. Avoid this place at all costs. Also my deadbolt was broken off on the door. The rest of the night i couldn’t sleep waiting for someone to try to get in again. This place is an absolute joke.
Definitely not high up on the list of best hotels. Decent price for two night stay. Booking online says you can pay in cash but that isnt true. Room was clean. No toiletries, towels, toilet paper, etc. Had to track down someone working here to get that stuff just to use the bathroom. Another room had dogs barking so loud. The hallway reeked of cigarette smoke even though its a non smoking hotel. Blankets are thin and pillows are hard little lumps. Nothing like bedding expected at a hotel. Excited to be leaving today. Will choose an actual hotel to stay at next time Im in the area.
Star ratings of hotels are misleading. This is a clean hotel with really great staff in a safe suburban location. Is it the Ritz Carlton? No, but it is also a fraction of the price. I gave it five stars based on the value for the money. Nobody should feel that they are not being served well by staying here. I highly recommend it for the value and would definitely stay here again.
No Stars. Absolutely the worst hotel to ever stay at in Ohio. for some reason their fire alarm constantly goes off at night they call the fire department out just for them to tell them they have to call somebody else to turn off a fire alarm Im traveling with my autistic child in this was not good for him none of the staff cared since my stay at the Extended Stay this has happened two times and the alarm goes off for hours before anybody can come out and turn it off and it always happens late at night unacceptable.
Positive: Location Negative: Their was someone on the second floor above Im thinking that was very loud and was disturbing but I dealt with the noise. Did call the service desk on the second day and it stopped for a little while then started again so I just ignored it.
Very nice staff, clean rooms. As good as can be expected for an Extended Stay. I like that this location has a sizeable Laundry room with multiple machines at good efficiency. Only downside here is the availability of silverware and cooking pans and the fact that they have one person staffed in the evenings to oversee and manage guest request. Not fair to the employee or the guest...
This place is terrible. Stay away. First, I checked in and everything was ok. After checking in I was hearing a lot of commotion outside. I looked out at what seemed to be a small block party forming around my car. One guy actually was unpacking his vehicle and set his keys on my hood and leaned his luggage against my car. I opened the window and told him to get his things off my car and he immediately wanted to fight. Nice..Then, about an hour later, my non-smoking floor smelled of the worst marijuana I have ever smelled. I called the front desk and she said they would look into it but nothing was ever done. Stunk the whole evening and night. Then, this morning I got up for work and started the shower. Took off my pajamas and went to get in and the water was warm at best. By the time my 5 minute shower was done, it was freezing. Called the desk and she said, we cant control the water temperature in each room. Nice... So my advice is to stay away unless youre a pot head that enjoys cold showers and peoples keys on the hood of your car.
Meh! It was cool but the hallway smelled like weed and cigarettes, then suddenly it smelled like curry. The staff made me come to the front desk for everything and nothing was delivered, except for hangers, which we never asked for. They didnt seem very organized and the coffee tasted stail. Ive had better experiences at other Extended Stay locations.
The first room we got smelled like dirty shoes and cigarette plus the carpet was visible dirty so we asked for a new room. On the surface the second room looked clean so we unloaded our items and left. We got back at around 4am so tell me why when I was in the shower all I could see is mold in the toilet?! Ps. The room is 327. I will never stay at this motel again
Rooms was nice. But they falsed advertise the hotel they said it was a swimming pool but it wasnt I couldnt find the vending machine everytime I went downstairs nobody was at the front desk it was vomit in both elevators but it did get clean. Parking lot was full of young people with music blasting and girls out there twerking. Breakfast was horrible no bowls for the oatmeal we had to use cups no regular sugar for the coffee. I want go back there but I can say rooms was nice.
This location is very nice. Clean, well maintained and easy to find if you are driving. They have a breakfast room which doubles as a TV or relaxation room with a sofa and comfortable (sort of) chairs. The rooms are large with a full kitchen. People are checked in quickly and efficiently. I did not notice any one waiting in a line to be assigned a room. I highly recommend this location. Be aware there is another hotel with the same name on the same street. So be careful not to confused North with South. South is less expensive but be aware you get what you pay for. The property is almost gated (there is a high wrought iron decorative fence surrounding the property) but there is nothing to impede entry or exit. There is a canopy that you may drive up to the front door and unload your luggage and register. Afterwards you may park your car in regular or handicapped parking spaces. Quite a lovely place. Also, if you are going to be a patient at the Cleveland Clinic you may request a discount in addition to the traditional AAA.
Arrived after midnight and it took over 10 minutes for the front desk to let us in. While checking in we didnt feel welcome at all. Things only got worse from there. The hallways smelt bad, old cigarettes and cooking, the room was unmaintained and had an old smoky smell. The bed had multiple large stains, at that point we decided to leave and go somewhere else.UPDATE: Since they decided to pull a fast one and attempt to steal from me, so Im adding to this review....We returned to the desk to inform the desk clerk that we would be leaving immediately and going to another hotel because the room was filthy, he proceeded to check us out on the computer and when we asked if anything needed to be signed he said no and that we would receive a refund in the next couple days. After waiting a few days and realizing that my refund never came through I made several phone calls to Extended Stay America, once in the morning which I was told that the manager was not in and they would have to approve it and that they would be in later in the afternoon, I asked if they could have them call me and told me they would.I never received a call so I called them back during the afternoon, a different person answered and they said that the manager was not in but that they are only around during the morning shift. When I started the explain that I was told otherwise during the morning they hung up, I called back, and was immediately hung up on, I called a third time and explained that if they were not there in the morning when I called I would come in personally. My girlfriend called them during the morning, she was told that the manager would be there in the afternoon and to call back later.Friday afternoon I went in and spoke with the front desk in person, she told me that the manager would be there the next morning and they would call me and to leave my number. This became the pattern, and I never received a call at any point. This led me down the path of resolving the issue with my credit card company over the course of about 2 months, I eventually got my money back, but not without them fighting it, they were well aware of what they were doing and I have to believe I am not the only one with this issue.AVOID AT ALL COSTS!I leave you with a photo of the mattress covered in stains.
The hotel is nothing that I would rather like to stay in. it couldbe more cleaner. The rooms are small and dust and old nail polish on the bathroom sink. I can just imagine how horrible the breakfast is going to be in the am. If I didnt want to take that long trip back to my hometown but this was the only hotel available at the time. The only thing that was great so far is the lady at the front desk. Very sweet.
Not very good.. Hallways smell like smoke although rooms should be non smoking. There was leftover seafood crab legs etc left in refrigerator making our room smell like butt. A/C unit only worked when on 60 degrees and floor was soaked below it. Pillows all small and flat and bed was hard. Overall clean room but not comfortable at all. Slept very little due to inconveniences. Pay a little more and stay away.
No phone in the room, called down to ask for cover and pillow for the pull out and they said they don’t have pillows just a cover to offer and that i needed to come get it too. Not very clean and heat didn’t work well either. Won’t be staying here again when i travel.
Nice place when looking for value. May not always be in great location but price, service and room are worth it, imo. Refrigerator, microwave, stove top are nice. Bathrooms are decent, just ask for more towels if staying longer than 1 night. Great front desk staff, helpful and knowledgeable.
Toilet didn t flush, no soap, nor shampoos no wash clothes floors were not cleaned or vacuumed in a long long time. oh by the way the room was just not even close to presentable. breakfast was a Joke.overallcondition of this place is an embaresment to the franchise. also the place is more like a homeless shelter.
Upon check in hotel room was trashed. Hotel offer a upgraded room and additional night stay. Then canceled our reservation completely once we were checked in. Upon calling customer service I was offered another room $104.00. Rooms are nice but not worth having your personal belongings thrown out and then told you have to pay for another room.
The bed had black little dirty ball in the sheets. Long blonde hair in the bed. The stove did not work and have built up Grease on the stove and Hood. It was toothpaste on the bathroom floor with somebodys toe print in it. The ice trays looked very suspect. No ice machines vending machines and washing machines you have to use a credit card only no cash. They have no room service so you have to bring your own food or go to one of the restaurants nearby. Breakfast is coffee or tea a muffin or cereal bar and kids can get a cup of oatmeal. I suggest you bring your own coffee if you like to have coffee after 7:30 p.m. I had to keep getting my room key reactivated which was a problem because you have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to let you back in the hotel. Make sure you check in before 11 p.m. staff goes home 11 and its only one person working so your wait time to get into the hotel may vary. Cable channels are limited and if you have children you only have two cartoon channels. Nice restaurants in walking distance. I WILL NOT COME BACK.
What can be said here. While the employees are sweet and kind - it almost pains you that the place is not all that comfortable. The beds were not only not soft but difficult to sleep in. While it was clean it still seemed difficult to convince myself that it was clean.I spent one night and had to move to another hotel in the area which there are several. If in a pinch Im sure I could make it work - but with the ability to have a new place to rest my head Id advise otherwise.
There is always a wait of 5-10 mins for anyone to show on front desk. At the timeOf check in the person at desk tried to connme by charging me higher amount even though the booking was made on their own website well in advance. Also the rooms are very dated and bathrooms have cockroaches. And not to forget free breakfast is a cruel joke.. never coming back or recommending this to anyone
One problem after another. Primarily, its the encounter with some of the staff, excluding Nikkia, the Manager. Today is Sunday, November 3rd. We experienced a problem with the door not closing properly, around 10:30 am. The staff member that responded explained how we must manipulate the handle for the door to close properly. She also stated maintenance would address the door issue later today. I returned 1 hour later. The door mechanism flashed red when I inserted the door pass key. I dialed 0 at the reception desk and asked for assistance. As is usually the case, the person on duty showed up....with a condescending attitude. She reprogrammed my access key. Problem solved. Again, Manager Nikkia is pleasant and always displays a professional attitude. The staff could use attitude adjustment in my opinion.
Our room was so trifling🤢It was infested with Ants 🐜 and Dirt! Just Nasty! Obvious people were smoking in the room due to a lighter being under the bed, and obvious nobody bothered to clean properly either. Only giving a 1 Star because the room we were moved to was much better.
I stayed while they were doing the renovations and in my opinion the old rooms were better than the new ones. The old room everything worked and had a electronic heating and cooling unit. New room had doors not hung straight wouldnt close right. Extremely old heating cooling unit. Remote didnt work with tv.
This hotel will bring ratings down for other Extended Stay America hotels. Our first night very loud music was coming from the next room (as in disco) until approx 1:30 a.m.. In the morning we thought at best would be continental breaksfast; it was call grab and go consisting of granola bars, coffee, muffins. Second night 4:34 a.m. someones pot over flowed setting off hotel alarm, fire truck on the scene, alarm still going off for 45 minutes. By the way you must go to the desk for pots, dishes, utensils etc.. There was no hangers in our room.
Affordable, nice location. Near new REI, movie theater and other shops. Near some good breakfast restaurants and fun nightlife spot.Room was roomy and very clean. No ice machines only what’s in room ice cube trays. No breakfast either but bob Evans and Fresh Market nearby.
The managers were helpful. I stayed 3 weeks and they NOT ONCE cleaned my room. I and the manager Dan changed my sheets after 2 weeks. All the other cleaning shower, sweep floor, counter beds etc...I did. Tey are supposidly are pet friendly but refuse to enter a room that may have a pet in it, I made sure my dog was with me when it was maid service day but they never came in. Front desk staff was miserable couldnt multi task and NEVER smiled...I had to ask for plates, silverware etc...I was given the BARE minimum.I Have stayed at an Extended Stay before and had a much better experience In DAYTONA BEACH than in BEACHWOOD OH.
It could be a little cleaner inside and they need automatic doors!!!! Some of the people that are staying there are a little rough looking and not the cleanest people. And NO I WOULD NOT STAY THERE!!!! AND THE ANIMALS THEY LET STAY THERE!!!!! With other people walking around it is not going to be good!!!!
Theres no to even explain... Steve is nice but the 2 house cleaning ladies kept instigating my fiance by saying he didnt love me and that I need to leave him and then one house keeper threatened him with a gun for no reason because she claimed she did not like the way he talked to me. Then he went to tell the manager and the lady piped off at the mouth and called the cops said that he was beating me up and he wasnt even touching me she tried to stab him with a pair of scissors and all upfront of his grandmother and me and her manager my husband got taken to jail for disorderly conduct but I bailed him out and the judge dropped the case due to the findings that she instigated the whole situation
The lady who checked me in took over 30 mins to get me checked in she said she was the laundry lady but had to do two jobs and was very rudeI booked a queen bed and got a double bed that my feet hung off of and was charged for a queen bedAfter two hours of being the the fire alarm went off and we where evacuated by local fire and police do to the amount of dust from the fire extinguisher i was in able to stay in the roomSpoke with the hotel the following Monday after Hotels.com said the hotel denied my refund request and am still currently waiting on a call back to resolve the issue

2022-06-22Positive: First and foremost,I would consider staying here again. The location was convenient. The price was right. The staff were polite and professional, to be applauded. I was impressed that in this clearly older building the common areas, the room spotless. Negative: Kitchenette had frig, stove, microwave but no dishes, flatware, pots, pans, etc. & when asked for them, I was told they were all out. Got a functional coffee pot on the second try. Had internet the first 2 days of my stay and then none for the next 5.

2022-07-10Location wise the hotel is ideally placed as it is right off the highway. However, this is NOT a place for tourists to stay with families. I would recommend avoiding this place. The rooms smell, cleanliness is not a high priority and the rooms are old and outdated. This is not somewhere I would recommend anyone with a family to come.

2022-05-01It smells so bad here. The hall ways smell so strong of weed every single day. Weed smell can be tolerable, but a cloud of it everyday. For a place that has multiple signs that say not smoking. People smoke, and it’s disgusting. Seriously the smell of weed is so intolerable I almost fainted. The rooms are given to you dirty. Please step it up, it’s embarrassing.

2022-02-07Positive: It was a place to sleep Negative: They did not plow the parking lot. The tub was gross. The bed was hard. It smelled like marijuana. The water in the shower was either freezing or boiling. There was no USB port for my charger.

2022-03-03Positive: Value for the money. Spacious and clean room. Negative: The only thing for me that could use an upgrade is the fitness center. Does not have much there besides three cardio machines (treadmill, elliptical)

2022-06-25For it being so close to freeway and the higher end restaurants and shopping it is terrible. The rooms are outdated and smell like nicotine. The staff is un helpful and rude. Like you are inconveniencing them by checking in to the hotel. I would not recommend this to anyone.

2021-12-26I wanted to just ask a question and that is how often are the rooms inspected by the Supervisor over housekeeping and how often are the linen and mattresses changed? The mattress in the room smells just like urine in fact the bathroom did also i even sprayed lysol and alcohol because of these viruses and it still had a odor. But yes it seems like a lot of things should be fixed up.
