I got my bellybutton pierced by Dave last year and my helix pierced by BaTT today. Both were incredibly sweet and communicative, making sure I was informed, ready, and happy with placement before and after. Nothing but positive, transparent experiences at Evolved :)
Really hate to leave a 1 star but unfortunately I must A gentleman named Chris over charged my 18 year old daughter who was a bit Naïve granted but I really thought this place was reputable. He charged her $400 for a 45 minute tattoo and to be completely honest the quality of the tattoo is average and $400 an hour for his work is border line criminal. I really would like someone at evolved to reach out and make this right because I feel Chris took advantage of a young lady who might I add has used evolved before.Regards
I wanted to get a free piercing on my birthday but OSU’s first game was that day and high street was a mad house. Couldn’t get anywhere near campus. Called the next day and asked if they could make an exception for me to get pierced a day late and was laughed at and mocked. I understand if policy is policy but they had no right to be so incredibly rude. Terribly arrogant people that charge an arm and a leg for average work. Really shows that they don’t care for their customers in the slightest and are just trying to squeeze money out of you. Don’t understand why I couldn’t get a piercing the literal next morning due to extenuating circumstances. Go anywhere but here.
Two friends and I had a great experience all getting pierced here! Everyone was super kind and accommodating. Holly pierced my forward helix and I couldn’t be happier!
Jaxx Batt did a jewelry change for me after my philtrum/medusa piercing started to flare up. I originally had this piercing done at the Summit Street location over a year ago and it healed wonderfully but I think I snagged it while sleeping recently. Jaxx was so kind to quickly get me in and switch out my barbell for a longer option to let the swelling go down.I would definitely recommend him! He was so easy to talk to, no judgement, and gentle as he knew my swollen lip was in pain!Thank you bunches! I cant wait to get a piercing done by you soon!
Drove from over an hour away for an appointment at noon with Wil B. Made sure to be on time and was actually early. They opened at noon and I was told Wil was not there yet so to have a seat. Waited till 12:30 with no update and nobody even saying anything else.Got up and told the person at the counter I was leaving and felt completely disrespected. His response was okUpdate: Wil texted me and said he was in the back the entire time drawing. He said they have a new system and he did not know there were people waiting for him. He said they used to put a card at the artists station if someone was there to see them. He offered to make it up to me for wasting my time. I went back and met with him. Seemed like a nice guy but the stories dont add up. I cant understand how he would have ever seen a card at his station (he was at his station when I got there and saw me right away). It all just seems weird and like I was being lied to at some point by him or the shop. To make it up he was not having me put down a deposit. I dont need financing to get the tattoo and just pay the same later at the time of the appointment.I am not saying the work would be bad or anything but to trust someone to permanently tattoo a large tattoo I think we started off terribly and I wont be back.
I pretty much refuse to go anywhere but evolved now. Holly was amazing when I went in for an industrial and ended up getting a trident. I love her energy and her patience. I’m obsessed with Canada’s work as well. She is so much fun to talk to and she’s always checking in on you during your appointment. I cannot wait to go back and finish my half sleeve with her. I highly recommend Evolved to anyone searching for a piercing or a tattoo. This specific branch is so homey and comfortable. It feels like visiting friends and family.
Brandon did an amazing tattoo for me. He made the experience very comfortable. Ive been to this location twice before with Matt who did an emotional tattoo for me after my mother passed away. I absolutely adore him and Brandon and will be coming back for MOAR! This isnt just work for him, he truly loves what he does. Thank you so much!!
Went in for a tattoo and had looked around before finding an artists portfolio I loved. So I went in and talked to the artist Canada. Told her my idea of what I wanted and where I wanted it. We exchanged a few emails of references for the piece. All I can say is Im absolutely impressed with the professionalism of the shop overall. And Canada really brought my piece to life and designed a tattoo Im absolutely in love with. I couldnt have asked for a better experience in getting a tattoo done.
I am absolutely thrilled about my piercing experience at Evolved. Jessica was my piercing artist and I feel like I hit the jackpot with her. She explained everything about what to expect and made me feel like I was the only client that mattered. The waiting area was crowded but it never felt like she was rushing to get me out of there. She answered all of my questions and took great care to get great placement. I really feel like my piercing is in the perfect spot for my face. 100% recommend.
First tattoo!!! Will did an amazing job! First of all, I loved the environment and the artists were fun to be around! I wasnt much of a talker and I was feeling very nervous, but Will made me feel comfortable there. We had to tweak the lettering due to possible ink smudging with the white color, but I didnt mind that. He did forget a small detail on the bears feet, but was kind enough to give me $100 off! Overall, it still came out super cute and Im happy with it!
Many very talented artists. They are always super busy. The front desk person wasn’t super friendly or patient but luckily I wasn’t there to see them. I’ll be back for sure. One of the biggest and most well known shops in Columbus.
Evolved has been and always is my top recommended place to go for piercings. The staff is very well educated on piercings. Always very gentle. And the place is super clean. Highly recommend Evolved for any type of piercings! They are the best at what they do. I would never trust any other place or people with my current and future piercings. You will not be anything but super satisfied when you go here for a piercing!
I’ve been to Evolve location 1980 twice now. The first experience overall exceeded my expectations. From the front desk lady with pink hair to my tech Amanda(who is just amazingly awesome.)The second experience I cannot say the same. I stay out of town and came in just for the piercing just for me and my friends to be greeted rudely by Maddie due to the new mask mandate in that Columbus that we were unaware of due to I come in from out of town. So we left and to get the masks. Still to come back to her being unnecessarily rude. As if we were a bother even though we all were paying clients. But yet with the other clients who not of color proceeded to walk in, we’re treated with a smile and great courteous. Honestly, only reason we proceed is because I can honestly vouch for Amanda work and her extraordinary ways to provide great service.After this and being greeted like that by Maddie with my next upcoming wanted piercings. It’s hard to say whether we’ll be using evolved as the choose of service or not. But again we love Amanda!
Had my first piercing ever here today; I was a walk-in and they were able to serve me. I was in and out within 30 minutes, and the service was spectacular from beginning to end. The guy who pierced me (Dave K) was FANTASTIC; professional, knowledgeable, and hilarious. I even had a friend with me who wasnt planning to get anything, but after a great conversation that showed their extremely detailed knowledge of piercings and metals, she was convinced to get something, too. It could not have been a better experience. A++++++
Ive been pierced by Holly multiple times and would recommend her to anyone! From the very first time I went to her, I have felt comfortable and relaxed. Everytime I go, I know Im going to leave happier than when I went in. Everyone at Evolved has also been so kind as well, from when you walk in, to picking out jewelry, to after, when theyre all excited with you about your new piercing. I love Evolved and couldnt imagine going anywhere else for piercings :)
My first tattoo experienced was amazing. I was extremely pleased with the customer service & how respectful & kind everyone was. Including Joe, who tattooed me. He walked me through the whole process & made sure I was as comfortable as I could be. He asked me in detail what I wanted & how I wanted it & he paid very close attention to detail. Although the tattoo was small he really took his time & perfected it as best as he could. The picture speaks for itself. I really appreciated everything they did & I would recommend Evolved to anyone.
Updated 5/25/2021Just got my tattoo work done today and could not be happier! I got my work done by Bob for a cover-up of a tattoo I got 10 years ago in an attempt to cover up my original tattoo that did not turn out as well as I wanted. I have to say Bob is one talented artiest! Truly one of the tattoo gods! The pictures Im posting really say it all. I finally have ink that I cant wait to show off! I have found my go to studio for all future tattoo work. If your looking for a cover-up, a new tattoo,or some touch up work to bring back the color to your old tattoo, give this studio a call. They are also a great place to go for piercings as well.The staff is supper friendly, professional, and most importantly knowledgeable. The studio is very clean and set up well. This studio is also 100% inclusive making it a great place for the LGBT community to go for all your piercing and tattoo needs, they make sure to use preferred pronouns and preferred names as well.(Old review)A great tattoo and body piercing studio. I watched my cousin get tattooed the on Wednesday and talked to her artist then looked through a few other artists portfolios and found one I loved. The next night Matt gave me my first tattoo. He was amazing. It is amazing. The shop and other staff are amazing. I couldnt have loved it more!
Wil gave me a tattoo on 12/21/22 @ Evolved Body Art. The best thing I can say about this studio was that it felt comfortable. I was comforted by both the professionalism and the friendly relaxing environment. The people on staff and the artist both provided this to everyone I saw come in and I was there for 6 hours. The tattoo I recieved was extremely technical and he created it brilliantly. Huge blackout with geometric shapes line work top notch. Check him out please. Asitwilbe @ IG
Holly was great. She did a great job piercing my daughters cartlige. All the staff was great and made the process easy as possible. Loved all the artwork on display and they seem to have a great group of body artists.
Just left evolved a few minutes ago. Went in for my first piercing and it went amazing! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Dave was my piercer. They talked me through the process because I was a little nervous. Really cool person so if you’re going in to get a piercing I would ask for Dave. I’m in love with my septum and if I were to get another piercing I’d ask for Dave (:
My husband and I both got a tattoo and I got a nose piercing. Everyone we worked with was very professional and super helpful! All around wonderful experience. MG did our tattoos, and did an amazing job. The lines were clean and he made sure we were comfortable and knew what was going on. Batt did my piercing and they also did an amazing job making sure I knew what was going on and was very intensional and professional. They answered all my questions and made me feel so comfortable. Definitely recommend!
I came here to have my nose pierced years ago and have come back several times to have my jewelry changed.Everyone is always friendly, takes every sanitary precaution, and the stations are always perfectly clean.The only thing I was dissappinted with is that one of the pieces of jewelry I bought looked really shimmery and shiny and bright in the store but looked dull once I left. I wish I had seen it under natural light before purchase.But other than that, I love going to Evolved and will keep coming back!
This was done in the fall, and I suppose a late review is better than none, but Dave did a wonderful job! He could tell I was nervous and told me everything he was doing which eased my anxiety. Everything was clean and well organized and I felt safe here. I almost missed the entrance on high street though, but you wont if youre paying attention. Anyway, I will be coming here again if I ever want a tattoo or another piercing, and I recommend you do too!
Got this super cute septum piercing! Its my second piercing, first being my earlobes. The front desk lady was super nice and very welcoming, she showed me how I could use different metal colors and stones and sizes and designs.. was great and painless!
Piercer Dave is awesome. He’s so easy to get along with, made me feel comfortable in the chair, and did an incredible job with my nose piercing. I was leaning towards a stud, but he informed me about how a nose ring is actually much easier to take care of for a beginner — and I don’t regret my decision to get a ring. A year and a half later, and I’m still just as in love with my piercing as I was on Day 1. Once I decide where I want my next piercing, I’ll definitely be coming back to Piercer Dave at Evolved!
Wonderful experience, everyone is helpful and welcoming. The place was very clean. I got my nose pierced by Shidoshi. He was super nice and explained everything that was going to happen. He did a great job of calming my anxiety. Everyone was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I will definitely go back to evolved, highly recommend!
Was recently in Columbus for business, I heard this shop has a fantastic jewelry selection. They do. The selection is great.However, the highlight of my visit was the staff. Never before have I walked into a piercing/tattoo studio and felt so welcomed.Sophie? Or maybe Sophia?She is the reason that I am writing this review.I will never forget her knowledge of product, absolute kindness, pure intellect, and timeless beauty.Typically, I might feel anxious or even intimidated in the presence of such a divine being, but I didn’t...Her angelic nature eased my rotting soul.She thoroughly displayed, explained, and sold me some beautiful pieces of jewelry.10 thumbs up. Ive gotten two tattoos with Canada here, and both experiences were great! Shes wonderful to work with, very informative about what shes doing, and the perfect blend of chill and friendly. The shop has good covid procedures in place, particularly sanitization spacing out work stations and the waiting area seating. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a great place to go for both tattoos and piercings!

I went to the 1980 N High street shop to get a piercing. They were amazing! They were so knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. They have a great jewelry selection too! Amanda was my piercer, and she was fantastic. She talked me through the whole process, and it was quick and easy!
I’ve gotten multiple piercings (done by Dave), and every single visit has been awesome! Everyone is super kind and welcoming not to mention great at what they do. The piercers are so welcoming and efficient that I am nowhere near as afraid of needles as I was before visiting Evolved. I love this shop!

Most recently I had an appointment with Luka and they did an incredible job. Their style is exactly what I’ve been searching for, they are so sweet, and I’ll continue to go to them exclusively as long as they’re in the area. I honestly couldn’t be happier with my tattoos and my experiences!
I took my daughter to get her first piercing this morning and ended up getting one too. Holly did both our piercings and she was wonderful! Very friendly and her work is excellent. My daughter had her nostril pierced and was a little bit nervous, but Holly made it virtually painless and she loves it.Holly is very skilled at what she does and I cant wait to go in and have her pierce me again! Thank you to the whole staff for making my daughters first experience so pleasant and comfortable!
Canada did my first tattoo today and it turned out phenomenally. While there my fiancée also decided to get her nose pierced on a whim and they were able to accommodate us as I was paying for my tattoo. I already talked with Canada about some other ideas I had for future tattoos, and will definitely be back there. Everyone we interacted with there was great.
Hector Ruiz is by far one of the best tattoo artists in Ohio. He takes his time on his work and it shows. He has great prices and is a great person. I recommend him to anyone who is looking for a tattoo of any sort. He can absolutely do it all and is confident in it. Go to him and you won’t be disappointed!
So... longer story short, I got a piercing but didnt do what I was supposed to and had to have it taken out. Shidoshi Samurai was expert and patient in removing this embedded piece of jewelry. Amazing, and caring artist!I went back today, looking for him to repierce my tragus, but he wasnt there.Today, I met Brody! Oh my goodness! He was friendly, calming and pierced me with just a pinch... actually, less than a pinch... hours later, still no pain!With artists like Brody and Shidoshi, they will absolutely keep Evolved in business!!!Thank you guys!Lisa;
I am so thankful for the wonderful people who work here. They are super quick to educate and answer all your questions. I did not get my 1 facial piercing done with them and I really wish I had to avoid the issues I experienced. Ive only ever heard great things about Evolved which brought me to them. So happy theyre so willing to help me keep and take care of my piercing correctly now. I absolutely recommend them.
Dave my piercer was absolutely the best. He cared greatly for my health and comfort. He made me feel so comfortable. The girls up front were awesome. Seem to be customer oriented. Went to other Evoled on Summit that front counter guy was kinda rude and definitely not a customer service oriented guy. Go to High St and see Dave. You wont regret it. Ive gotten three piercings in the last week because of how awesome my experience was.
My experience was awesome! I easily set up and appointment online and was greeted by friendly staff upon entering the shop. The front desk staff was helpful and informative with helping me pick out jewelry. I came in for an industrial bar piercing and I strongly recommend Amanda. She was super sweet and did an amazing job. Amanda was also very informative and answered all my questions. The shop was clean and I felt very welcomed and comfortable there. 😊
When I turned 18 a couple years ago the first thing I wanted to do was get my nostril pierced, so I went to Evolved and Holly did the piercing for me! I was pretty nervous, but she was soooo sweet and her vibe calmed me down instantly. She marked and pierced my nostril in the perfect spot and I’ve been in love with it ever since, the experience was great and I barely felt a thing!
Such great experiences here and will definitely keep coming back here. Joe Stevens has now done 3 of my tattoos and has done an amazing job. He’s super awesome and had done nothing but made me feel super comfortable and completely satisfied. I definitely trust him to come up with pieces for me as well. Everyone should check him out. :)
Holly-5 stars, absolutely recommend. I am so glad I met her. Shes one of those inspiring people that have passion for their craft. She encouraged my ego and didnt let me talk myself out of what I wanted. Her knowledge and enthusiasm created such a cozy, safe space and she took me on a little piercing journey. Bonus-a cute little sticker and even better-a perfect piercing!
I had a piercing fixed by Claire on multiple occasions that I was totally freaked out about. She was amazing and calming and explained everything. She was so gentle and I literally didnt feel anything. I have sent other friends to her and they only go to her...fully stop.
I’m new to Columbus and I’ve been overall satisfied with Evolved. I’ve had two piercings done at the Summit Street location. It was a mediocre experience, and I waited fairly long but they were busy to be fair. I had a more enjoyable time at the High Street shop. Everyone was more personable and friendly, the wait time was shorter than filling out paperwork. Both shops are great, I’m very happy to say I’ve found my new regular body art shops.
Absolutely the BEST place in Columbus to get tattooed or pierced. The staff is so wonderful and friendly and really take the time to bond with you as a person instead of just treating you like a money bag. I got tattooed by Luka and they are an AMAZING tattooist. Their animal tattoos are some of the best I have ever seen. I will be returning to them for ALL future work on my body for as long as they are in the area. They really went above and beyond to make absolutely sure that my tattoo was as perfect as it could possibly be, and really cared about the motive behind it (self harm scar coverup) and wanted to make sure that I was happier with my body than when I walked in above all else. They absolutely succeeded as my new tattoo is definitely the most high quality ink on my body by a long shot, and I no longer feel the need to cover my arm in public.Holly the piercer is so caring and fun, and she definitely has an eye for what she does. All of her piercings are on point. Dave is very experienced and talented, and I love his hilarious tattoos. Every artist and piercer in this place is SO talented and personable and each and every one of them made me feel welcome, like I was part of a larger family.I would never dream of going anywhere else. The venue itself has such a comfortable vibe, it isnt too intimidating for those new to body modification but still appeals to the more experienced collector. The place is obsessively clean. It looks absolutely professional and their jewelry selection is top notch, customizable and very high quality. Seriously, I could go on and on. I LOVE this place, it is the best body mod shop I have ever been to and I would strongly recommend it to anyone thinking of getting something done in the Columbus area.

Ive gotten all of my piercings at evolved over the years. Every single time I go in theyre super helpful and welcoming, and they always do a great job of explaining everything theyre doing so youre not left in the dark, which really helps any anxiety you might be feeling about the process. I moved out of Ohio a few years ago, and Ive been wanting to get my nose pierced for a while now. Needless to say I waited until I was back in Ohio so I could go to evolved, because I couldnt being myself to go anywhere else.
I came in as a walk in basis and tenet basically got me in right away! I only waited a little while for the artist to finish up the previous client but I was happy to wait. The shop was very very clean and everybody was very nice! Eric was the one who did my tattoo and he was great! He did a beautiful job and the wording and placement is so detailed and beautiful. I’m so happy! I felt so comfortable with Eric and his humor really helped my nerves. I would definitely recommend Eric and this shop! Thanks so much again!
I was super nervous ab this tattoo and asked the design to be changed AFTER my original consultation. they had no interest in looking at the new design until the day of my actual appt. we ended up started almost 2 hours after my scheduled time which was pretty frustrating. in addition the artist added some random shading around my design which wasn’t in the picture i showed or the print/stencil laid on my arm. and i dont like the outside shading at all. i never said i wanted that so idk why he did it… it’s permanent and i’m in love w the tiger but the experience was poor.
By far my favorite shop in Columbus. They are so inclusive, welcoming, and knowledgeable! I feel completely safe and at ease here. The counter girl Hex is lovely- she is very helpful, friendly, and great at using her own personal (super cute!) style to provide recommendations.Alexandro was able to put a new septum ring in my hole that hadnt been used in 8 years and did this gorgeous vertical lebret piercing for my birthday that Im absolutely in love with! Batt was able to put my tragus jewelry in after about 3-4 years. Both Batt and Alexandro were super gentle and made me feel completely comfortable, despite my hatred for needles!I absolutely love this shop and highly recommend it to anyone from any walk of life.
First, bring Brett your bugs!!!! I came in last week for a June bug tattoo by Brett, and unsurprisingly I had a great experience. I’ve been to evolved several times and have yet to be disappointed. The staff is always helpful and kind; this time was not an exception. Brett listened to all of my requests and thoughts on my tattoo, helping me to create something I am obsessed with. Incredibly talented, he was also very knowledgeable (on tattoos and bugs haha) and overall a great artist to work with. Brett was super enthusiastic about the piece the whole way through which made things even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to go back and grow my collection of creepy crawlers. Seriously check him out!!!!!!

I had never been to Evolved before but I bought jewelry for a current piercing that was too small and I couldn’t get it out which was causing me a lot of pain. I went as a walk-in hoping they would be able to help. Amanda was SO kind and helpful. She took me back right away and got me all fixed up. I will absolutely be back! I absolutely love Evolved, and this location. The staff is always wonderful and nice, and Eli did an amazing job with my tattoo!! He took lots of care to make sure that I was comfortable, and the work was what I wanted. It turned out perfect! I will definitely keep coming back for more tattoos and piercings!

Got my first tattoo with Brett at Evolved and I LOVE it!! The building was clean, everyone was super friendly, and Brett was amazing to work with! He gave me a great design and answered all the questions I had and the end result is exactly what I had in mind! I had a great experience and will definitely going back!
I just got my septum done the night before. I was a little nervous because I’m not good with pain and I didn’t know how bad it would hurt. But Dave, who I highly recommend, was very patient and walked me through it step by step, answered every question I had, took his time to make sure the piercing was aligned properly. I’ve never gotten or had the experience of getting personal with another artist like that, cause all the other ones I have been too never really talked to me like he did. So I would recommend Dave to everyone who wants a piercing. He’s very nice and he will walk you through it, and he goes over the aftercare in detail too.
Pierced by Amanda, I believe, and she was AMAZING. I was nervous so she lightened the mood with her wonderful personality and went beyond just doing her job.Then I was tattooed by Eli, who was just as amazing!! He took my idea of what I wanted and made it even better than I had pictured in my head. He made it as comfortable as getting a tattoo can be by being just as personable as Amanda.I’ve been to a lot of really fun and great shops and this place has still somehow raised the bar even higher. Weve always had a great experience at Evolved. I have gotten several piercings here and each time the staff was careful, sanitary, and gave great advice. I myself have gotten 3 piercings here. My 14 year old got her nose pierced, and I love that with proper documentation, a minor can get pierced. Shes in 8th grade and really wanted a piercing. My hubs got his cartilage done. Every single time its been a great experience. Piercings have always been done quickly and as painlessly as possible. Staff has always been nice to us. Its a great place to go.
Went in on a Thursday to take advantage of their 2 for 1 piercing special. I was greeted immediately and proceeded back to the piercing room with Mike. He was a really great guy! Made me feel really comfortable and we had a great conversation. The room and equipment were very clean and tidy. The actual piercing process was fast and the piercings are doing great after a week. I would highly recommend to anyone whos thinking of getting a piercing!
I have been to this shop for the majority of my piercings and 2 of my 4 tattoos. I went again today to get a lost earring replaced and ended up getting myself 2 new piercings (helix and rook) done by Holly. She was very sweet and attentive, and took her time making sure they all aligned well and looked right. They have renovated since I last went so even nicer than before.
My piercer today was Clair Rose. I first met Clair when she was piercing in Athens, OH and my appreciation and love for Clair has only grown since we met a good 4-5 years ago. I emailed them with my tattoo design and they got back to me very quickly and set me up with an artist and time and date very quickly!On the day of my tattoo Quil drew up a sketch real quick to let me approve it! He did an amazing job of asking all the right questions and making sure it was exactly what i wanted. He was super nice and would ask if I was doing okay while tattooing me. After he finished he walked me through how to take care of it and whatnot!Definitely had an amazing experience and will be going back!!

The guy at the front counter (I’m not sure of his name) went through the paperwork with me & which jewelry to look at for my helix piercing. Amanda did my piercing & she was super friendly & helpful! She guided me through a deep breath & talked to me about what she was doing. I was basically in & out in 15 minutes. Evolved is professional & clean, I highly recommend them!

I could not recommend Evolved, or Dave, more highly.I had my belly button pierced in college—not by Evolved—and after years of wearing incorrect jewelry (surprise!) I accidentally ripped a portion of my piercing out in late March. After removing my jewelry and healing, I was left with a pretty dark and unattractive scar.I went in to my appointment thinking I would not be able to have my piercing redone; however, Dave and Amanda educated me on why my previous jewelry didn’t work, what would be best for my body, and how moving slightly off center of my scar would allow me to pierce my belly button again.I am THRILLED with my piercing, the service I received, and the professionalism of Dave and Amanda even though they were incredibly short staffed.10/10. Could not recommend more highly. Thank you!
LOVE! Evolved staff went above and beyond for my piercing. Holly made me feel comfortable even though I was nervous, and the piercing itself was easy! I passed out from the piercing (I pass out easily) and Holly sat next to me for close to an hour until I felt better. They took care of me until I could get up again and even walked me to my car. My experience with Evolved (Summit) could not have been better. Simple ear lobe piercing, but a huge needle-phobe and was pretty nervous. Krista did a phenomenal job explaining the process, keeping needles out of sight lines, and making sure I was comfortable. Both Krista and Clair worked together to do a tandem piercing of both lobes and explained after-care, questions about terminology, and anything else I could think to ask. Im in love with the piercing and it was a phenomenal first piercing experience. No point in going anywhere else.
My friend & I both got pierced by Holly who is amazing by the way. She does a little sweet hum while she is preparing everything but when it’s time to pierce, she does a gentle voice that makes you super comfortable. It was one of the best piercings I have ever had done! Totally recommend her!
I love Dave more than anything. He’s a wonderful piercer who actually takes the time to talk to you and ensure everything is done correctly. The shop is extremely clean and everyone is friendly. A few weeks ago, my sister and I came to Evolved for a walk-in tattoo. It was my sister’s first tattoo so she was understandably nervous, but also a little indecisive as to what she wanted. Alex did both of our tattoos and was awesome. He was patient and excited about all of our ideas, drawing up multiple sketches so we could easily see what we liked best. Alex definitely made the experience for us and we love our tattoos. Also, shoutout to another artist at Evolved, Kyle! I went in wanting a tattoo and came out extremely happy and with a tattoo! Lol. It’s pretty chill and really nice in the shop! Super clean and roomy! I forget the woman’s name at the counter but as soon as I walked in she greeted me and came around the counter to talk to me! She gave me a bit of her advice on where I should place my tattoo then got the artist who would be doing it. Matt Barnett is amazing! He done my tattoos and talked to me the whole time! Made me feel completely comfortable! He even reassured me about an existing unfinished tattoo I have that he will definitely be finishing for me! 100/10 will definitely go back and see him! But I’m sure everyone else there is awesome too! I can’t wait to go back!

I visited summit first and there was a 45 minute wait on Tuesday for piercings (you get a free piercing with purchase of jewelry) so I called the high st location and they didnt have a wait so I went straight there. The lady at the desk was super nice and informative and my piercer Dave was amazing. I cant recommend this place enough. It was clean and the wall art and the rustic feel of the place was really cool. This place always has some kind of special most nights.
10/10 highly recommended. I went for 3 piercings in one night. Dave got them all done quickly and I love them. Very professional and even talks to you to help ease your anxieties. I will definitely come back.
I went and had my tragus pierced by Holly today and I couldn’t be happier!!! She was super sweet and very professional. My piercing didn’t hurt at all and looks perfect! She even fixed some other jewelry I had in my ears previously. 10/10 would recommend Holly if you’re looking for a new piercing!

Isaiah was my tattoo artist, and he did an absolutely outstanding job! This was my eighth tattoo but my first with Isaiah, and it was the best experience I’ve had. He was super friendly, made sure I was comfortable throughout the process, and the work is just gorgeous. The shop in general was clean and full of friendly folk. Highly recommend Evolved and Isaiah!
I recently moved to Columbus and was looking to get my septum piercing after a failed one at a piercing studio in Houston. This was the perfect place to come to! Dave was my piercer, and he was wonderful! He walked me through the procedure and made sure I was comfortable with everything he was doing including choosing the size of the jewelry and the placement. The end result was awesome! I got my nose pierced March 12 at Evolved. The experience was excellent. The space was super clean and the artist who did the piercing was exceptional. Shidoshi explained everything that was going to happen and coached me through it. I was nervous but he was very calming. I appreciate the great experience and highly recommend him and Evolved.

Not thinking that a Tuesday night would be super packed(I had no idea about their piercing special on Tuesdays)The artists and piercers were quite busy and thats when I spoke with Isaiah.He was busy with other customers , and wouldnt have enough time to do mine that night, but he gave me a good deal since I had to make an appointment.I scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. Having the rest of the week to look at his work and get an idea of him as an artist and his style.I get there on Monday and I was instantly greeted walking in.Isaiah got everything ready very quickly and got to work.His customer service is outstanding.He asked me exactly what I wanted, how everything was looking during the process, and constantly checked up to be sure I was okay or needed a break.Im not sure what it was, but he just had that super friendly demeanor.10/10 recommend Isaiah !He did a wonderful job .
I was in Columbus for a wedding, but also was the first trip I was taking on my own in a while and wanted to celebrate this new adventure with a tattoo. I was recommended by a friend and had amazing service from the first time I was in. My tattoo was scheduled for the following Monday and Joe Williams would have the designs. On Monday everything was easy and smooth as possible Joe did an amazing design and we had a good time getting my tattoos done. Amazing design, clean and quality of service. If I lived in Columbus I’d make that my tattoo shop.

Dave pierced my 5-year-olds ears today and I cannot say enough about the great experience we had from beginning to end. Dave was amazing, he took his time to make sure my navel piercing was lined up, and it is as close to perfect as you could get! He also did my second helix and lined it up perfectly with my first one. I will definitely come back to him for more piercings.

Matt Barnett is the best, I love the work he’s done on my Last of Us tattoo! I’ve gotten my cartilage and triples pierced here and they were good when I first got them done. When I wanted to change them they told me they were pull apart and I couldn’t get them out when I asked them again how to get them off they said they were twist then I had to go back a third time because it fell out they told me they were pull apart again. In addition to this all 3 of my piercings are slanted and cannot be fixed now. They said to come back in a month to change the backs and it was already too slanted by then. Will never go back!

I’ve been coming here for a year, starting last August. Since then, I’ve gotten five piercings, and am about to get another. Also planning on a tattoo sometime.Sosa pierced my septum; it came out wonderfully, and was the most painless piercing I’ve ever gotten!Holly is my usual piercer now, and has done all four of my other piercings; Lobes, Daith, Rook. Seems can do literally anything. We’ve talked about future plans for other piercings, even. Always great and understanding, she helps you calm your breathing, only goes when you’re ready, and makes sure to get your opinion on the placement. We’re honestly friends now, lol. Dave’s great, too! ❤️The shop is always clean, the counter workers/artists/piercers are informative and can answer any questions, and the shop only uses body-safe, implant-grade material. They also have APP trained piercers, which helps put me at ease, and they are up-to-date on aftercare instructions and will not tell you outdated information (such as to “twist the piercing” or give you improper cleaning supplies). They tell you, as they should, to leave it be, and give you the proper saline/mouth wash required.I feel like I’m going to run out of piercing areas if I keep coming in, lol. Always great work!
Ive gotten five tattoos till date from Chris Churchill, and hes been great every single time. He takes my ideas and turns them into beautiful designs, and is also great at taking suggestions and making quick changes when needed. Chris makes sure to talk me through his setting up process every time. The staff is very personable, and the place is always clean.

Jake was able to set aside enough time to get all 7 of us in on a Saturday. We were able to all hangout there the whole day. It felt like any other family get-together. Got a tattoo by Luka recently as it was their style, it’s just finished healing and it’s by far the best tattoo I’ve ever had, both the art and the experience was phenomenal. Tattoos generally aren’t too painful for me but their hands were so light that the pain was non existent. We had a great conversation and evolved should be very lucky to have them. I will definitely be back as I want more work done and would love nothing more than for Luka to do it!

Many of the artists are nice and very good at what they do. Though, it never fails that someone will speak down to you here. They act like you should know everything when you walk in, and sass you when you ask questions. Most people dont realize this isnt how other tattoo shops are run (most of them actually treat you like an equal). This shop has such high ratings because a lot of rookies come here to get their first tattoo/piercing, think it looks nice, give them 5 stars, and never go anywhere else to compare. Not to mention, theres a very artificial, corporate vibe going on here and it doesnt feel too welcoming. Spend your money somewhere else.

Last year, I got a Daith piercing in my right ear. This year I went back and got the left side pierced. I cannot tell you how happy and pleased I am with Evolved. Sosa did my piercing both times. The cleanliness is top-notch - customer service is top- notch and I would highly recommend Evolved. I am not planning any more piercing but considering another tat - Evolved will be the place for sure.

Evolved is the only place I will get tattooed. I found it after I needed a bad tattoo covered, and was very pleased with the professional and clean (yet fun and relaxed) environment. Jacob Brentzel (high street location) has taken very good care of me each time I have gotten tattooed there, which has been many times. He takes the time to create whatever his clients want, and puts his own artistic twist on their thoughts. I have been extremely impressed time and time again not only by his artistic abilities but also by how much he cares about his clients and the pieces he puts on them. I *always* recommend Evolved to people who ask me about my tattoos, and refer them to Jake. If I could give 10/5 stars, I would.
Came down to Columbus from Canada for a concert and came across evolved body art and had an amazing time! Me and my buddy ended up getting 4 tattoos over the weekend and a nose piercing eh! We joked and made Impressions of each other’s country and had a super fun overall experience made the time fly by and the work turned out super clean! They all get an EH for effort! I got my helix pierced by Ben and it was a great experience! Everything was sterile and the process was quick and easy. When I told Ben that I would be back in Florida when it was time to change the size of my bar, he took the time to go the extra mile and look up a tattoo shop in Gainesville that is APP certified where I could have my bar size changed. I highly recommend Evolve Body Art for your piercing needs! Im sure the other piercers are great but I highly recommend Ben! If Im back in Ohio sometime I will get my second helix piercing here.

I’ve typically had very good experiences here but this time left me kinda upset.I went in to get a jewelry change because the style of jewelry I had in was causing a lot of irritation in one of my piercings and from my multiple other piercings, I knew which style was best suited for me.My typical piercer wasn’t there so someone else helped me and she would hardly listen to any of my concerns and didn’t seem to take me seriously. Eventually I caved after being pushed to get the jewelry she though would be best even though it was not really what I wanted and I knew from past experience it would not heal well due to my lifestyle.Then when I went to check out I realized I was never told a price and it was much more expensive than I thought it would have been. If I would have been told up front I would definitely not have tried the jewelry change for that price.Wish I would have just bought the jewelry, left the piercer out of it, and done it myself.

Got my nose pierced by a bearded guy with glasses and I was awfully bleeding (I had my nose pierced before and it did not bleed but he said it happens which is true) but he made me and my mom feel like a burden and made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcomed). Unprofessional. My nose never healed after 4 months so now I’m going to another spot to get it redone after it heals.
My first experience here was with a piercing in which one of them was done crooked. When I explained the situation, the piercer tried to blame it on me but agreed to fix it for free anyway. When it came time to fix it though, the piercer was MIA. I got a lot of he left early or hes off today or he wont be here until this day.My next experience was with my first tattoo. My friend had been tattooed there and I loved his piece, so I figured my negative experience was just a strange occurrence. I came in multiple times asking for prices and times, and was assured everything would be okay. They gave me Joe because they promised he was the best at line work. I looked over his work and he had done many extremely intricate pieces so I thought my simple daisy would be no problem. (He assured me it wouldnt be.) As he did my work he was very silent and short with me and when he finished I looked it over and it looked slightly rushed, but because it was my first tattoo I decided to let it completely heal to see how it would look before saying something. 6 weeks later I come in looking for him and get the sentence he works Tuesday through Friday except he usually takes Wednesday and Thursday off. (I guess not coming to work is a trend here.) So I come back today and explain to Joe that he told me he could do this piece and he was the best at line work and yet here I am with an un-even, wobbly, un-professional looking tattoo. Instead of just taking responsibility, he tells me to watch my tone with him and blames me claiming I didnt let it heal right. Now Im out $80 (which is ridiculous for a 2 in x 1in flower ) and have had my first tattoo experience ruined.

I came in debating about what piercing to get and Shidoshi led me into the right direction and I ended up leaving with my conch re pierced and getting my tragus done. I have had a number of piercings from a number of shops, including ones in Virginia and Pennsylvania, but this was the best experience I ever had. I live in Dayton, but am already planning on a new piercing and making the drive to see Shidoshi again.
HORRIBLE skills for changing cartilage piercings. My piercings look really bad and keep bleeding after changing. He was pretty rude and I felt painful the entire time. Overpriced for tattoos, but very reasonable for piercings (mainly on the Tuesday’s or Thursday’s specials). I have had my septum, tragus, helix, and daith done here, and I have never had any problems with any of the piercers!
I got my tongue pierced last night by Dave . I was so nervous about getting it done , but he took his time and talked me through it and made sure he gave me his best. I was so pleased with his work ! My husband wants to come get his tongue done after I told him the great experience that I had here !

This place is great. Between the people who tattoo Alex and Erik. Recommend to anyone who needs anything done. I got one recently then went back for more lettering around the same one and they did it without flaw. They make sure what you want is what you’re going to get. They also make sure it is going to be perfectly centered where needed.
Got a tattoo by Matt done today and I cannot say enough good things. He took the time to listen to me when I was indecisive and helped me make color choices. My wait time was less than five minutes. If youre looking for quality work at a super fair price, check this place out!

Took my daughter here for her first piercing for her 14th birthday David did it he was a very nice gentleman and did a great job very clean place very nice people the only thing I didnt like was all the steps I had to carry my baby stroller up LOL need an elevator.

I’ve generally had a pretty good experience here but I got my helix pierced about 6 months ago and the ring they put on it was far too small (and expensive). It’s never healed properly and has really deformed my ear, and I can’t get the keloid scarring to go away. Huge bummer.
It’s my third time seeing Brandon at this shop! Dude hooks it up. Most personable artist I’ve worked with, he’s easily worth it. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to get tattooed
My roommate and I went to get tattoos & we talked to a white man with a beard/glasses/hat... we can’t remember his name. I did not have a specific image of what I wanted because I didn’t want him to copy someone else’s work which he couldn’t handle. He wouldn’t directly answer basic questions my roommate asked. VERY weird and unprofessional situation. It felt like he wanted us to leave so we did. We want to note that we went to their other location and had a much better experience with Giovanni.
Sooooo kind and professional. My piercer was Batt and they did SUCH a good job of walking me through every step so I knew exactly what to expect!

The shop was very clean and I felt very comfortable walking in here for my first tattoo. I wanted a simple one, black ink, about the size of a dime. It was $90 before taxes and a tip, which is insane to me. For a piece thats maybe a half inch by a half inch, I do not understand why I was charged $90. Not only that, the tattoo artist kept making jokes at my expense, which I did not find the least bit funny. I will not be returning, as his attitude really turned me off and the pricing was too high. I felt very much like he didnt want to be here, and like I was bothering him.
Gotten 3 tattoos from artist here, Brandon, Luke, and Canada. All awesome artist. Staff is super nice and walks ins/appointments work. Would highly recommend🙂

Such a great place. Went here for my first piercing and the guy did an amazing job I didnt even feel it. My friend was with me and got his too. Staff was friendly and filled me in on everything. Totally going here for future pieces.
I always go into Evolved to get my piercings changed out, they offer very professional service, and always do it for free.Their earrings are a bit on the expensive end for me, around $84 for a pair...Make sure you clarify whether the price they tell you is for one or two earrings (that was a miscommunication for me!)
Wonderful place to go. Daughter who is 18 got her first Daith piercing, only piercing. Holly was awesome! Came back in Wednesday and then Saturday to get both my ears done! Of course by Holly!
I got my belly button pierced by Krista (I’m not sure how to spell her name) she was AMAZING she made me feel comfortable! The minute we went back I knew I was in GREAT hands13/10 DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

I was in and out quickly. The woman who did my piercings walked me through the process and fully prepared me for what was going to happen. I will be going back soon to get new jewelry. Go on a Tuesday or Thursday to get a free piercing.
Loved my experience at Evolved. Quil was prompt, communicated well throughout the appointment, and I am just so in love with my ink. The space was clean, everyone was super friendly and responsive to questions. I woudlnt go anywhere else. I will be back!

A bit expensive but they have some pretty awesome deals for piercings! Never gotten a tattoo here though. Super friendly and helpful and I honestly just trust them to do my piercings and do them right.

2022-07-09I went here on my birthday to get my first piercing (septum). My piercer was Clair, she was kind and did an awesome job! She explained things thoroughly and gave advice on how to keep the piercing clean afterwards. The rest of the staff is super nice as well! Definitely recommend! I also got a nice birthday discount!

2022-01-02Had an absolutely amazing experience here getting my nose pierced! I came as a walk-in on a Sunday afternoon and was able to get in with only a 30-45 minute wait. I had Holly as my piercer and they were amazing! They were so sweet and took their time explaining every part of the process and answered all of my questions and gave tons of advice for aftercare too. The piercing barely hurt and was over before I knew it. Will definitely recommend this place to my friends and will definitely be back myself!

2022-02-26All the employees were very nice. I took my daughter to get her nose pierced for her birthday. The piercing itself was free since it was her birthday which was awesome and Holly greeted us and introduced herself. She was so awesome we will definitely be back and definitely recommend everyone to go there!

2022-03-25Went in for a tragus piercing and figured it would not work with my hearing aids. Decided on a helix and upper lobe. Holly was so so good!! She had an apprentice with her who marked the location. They were so meticulous with the placement. Holly did the piercing. She talked me through every step, her voice was soothing and reassuring. Explained the aftercare thoroughly… will be back after these heal up a bit for my left ear.

2022-04-09Scheduled an appointment 3-4 weeks out. I wanted to get something simple and easy to put on my leg. Just line work. no shading, no color…….just line work. I got there early around 4:35pm to prepare for my 5PM appointment …….I sat there till 7:15-7:20pm to finally take a seat. (reminding you the store closes at 8pm) so I expect him to take his time with this but NO…..my tattoo gets rushed so he can make it out at 8pm. It doesn’t even come close to the picture I wanted! They quoted me at $400-$500 first, then $200-$300…… BUT he charged me $50 because I already put $100 down….. SO I waited hours to finally sit down and get my FIRST tattoo botched all for $150…….Don’t even bother here. They know how to do piercings but tats are not one of them. Very unhappy and unpleased with the tattoo I received. Wish I could show pics but it won’t let me.

2022-05-31I was incredibly nervous to get my nose pierced, but Jaxx was so great! He took his time and walked me through every step, and answered all my questions. I knew I was making things run a bit later than scheduled, but he never made me feel rushed and wanted to sure I was feeling alright walking out of the shop. Quick and efficient, he was fantastic. Definitely will be back for my next piercing!

2021-09-08I could not begin to recommend Evolved enough! Luka (@lowbarart on Instagram) is my artist now and I am so happy I found them. Their talent is amazing! This sleeve (still a WIP) is just one of many more to come pieces we will do together. If you want a fantastic artist with a light hand, clean steady lines, and an overall great experience, you HAVE to book with Luka.The shop itself is clean, organized, and welcoming. The staff are great, professional and helpful.Evolved is easily the Columbus area’s treasures for getting tattoo work done. Highly recommend!!

2022-02-22Nick Strange did a wonderful job with my daith and made the process simple, relaxed, and I am a notorious nervous person for piercings or needles and this was a quick and easy process! I love the earring and the placement; the place itself was amazing, clean, and everyone was so nice! I will definitely be coming back for another piercing here and for all my future piercing/tattoo needs.

2022-07-29I have been to the Summit St location recently and the people are cool, but its a very busy place. This was my first time in the High St location and it was a little more chill. Doctor (Nick...lol) Strange did my upper lobes. Hes really cool dude and was very thorough about the piercing placement. Will definitely request him for piercings if I am in the Multiverse of Madness again...lol...I also cant stress enough why you should book an appointment online. Just like Summit St I was literally in and out in 20 minutes! Both Evolved locations provide a great experience!

2022-04-16Went today to have our 8yo daughters ear lobes pierced. She was pierced by @jaxxbatt and they were amazing! So calm and reassuring for our daughter who was nervous. Great attention to detail and flawless, almost painless piercing! Everything was sterile and great communication from all staff. We highly recommend getting work done at evolved and getting pierced by @jaxxbatt !! Could not have asked for a better experience!
