My favorite record store for a long, long time. Good selection of new and old vinyl. They dont cater or specialize in any genre and have good selection of all genres. I only hit on a couple records that I wanted but finding vintage vinyl is a hit or miss activity with a lot of misses.
Nice to see an independent record store. I was looking for jazz mostly, that had a large selection of new sealed jazz and a large selection of preowned. Prices were very reasonable for both. Wide range of artists and styles. Would highly recommend stopping. Plenty of staff available for help and free off street parking also.
I love this record store. They always have some gem that I didnt know I was looking for. The staff is friendly and helpful. The records are pretty well organized and good quality and a wide selection. I make a trip at least once a month and always find something great. And their collection of cds is unmatched!
THE BEST PLACE FOR AUDIOPHILES!! Been coming here since I was a kid and it never gets old! They have a HUGE & DIVERSE selection and if they don’t have it - they WILL find it (Ask for Woody or Pat… they’re your guys)!! Just love the smell of vinyl and the “Cheers”-like welcoming vibe when you walk in. The expansion (prolly 20yr ago now) was worth it, giving room to more advanced mediums (CD, cassette), but they definitely used the necessary space for those beloved records!!Still sad the mural changed - will miss seeing my Dad (#117) up there! Can’t wait to bring my preschooler so he can learn to “hunt”!I’ve been other places and yeah, I could buy my albums there, but I’d miss the entire “experience” - most ppl who grew up pre-00’s know the local record store was among the “places to be”! And Everybody’s stands up to that same idea, to this day. Can’t say enough about this place. Heck, I grew up there, so call me biased - but you’ll agree once you step in & smell the vinyl while a clerk greets you with “… Hey, what’s up? What you trying to listen to, today?” Classic. As long as Everybody’s Records is open for business, I will forever stay a loyal patron!!💯
I love Everybodys Records. They have a lot stuff that caters to the Metal community. Today I got to meet the band Exhoder and got to have some classic albums signed by the band that I own. Getting to meet Kyle and Vinnie was just crazy awesome. As Im texting this into my phone right now im sitting here at Riverfront live on Kellogg Ave getting ready to see Exhorder and Kataklysm. Metal is alive and well in Cincinnati. I love this city. Im new from Colorado Springs. So hi every body. Peace and love.
I have loved this place for a long time. The people who work there know what they are talking about and are very cool, likeable guys. Have a good selection of vinyl and if they dont have it, they can order it for you. Will continue to shop here for many years to come. Thanks guys!
Really love that this still exists in my neighborhood, I try to buy CDs (used and new) here for my car periodically because I want to support them and keep them around. Ive always loved shopping in music stores. The stock here seems slanted toward certain artists (especially classic rock) so I cant always find what Im looking for, but I figure they probably cant go too wide on their selection because of space and financial constraints so it makes sense. And I can always find *something* I want.
Legendary status, this shop is an old school record shop where bargains can often be found, and gems unearthed. New and used, vinyl and CD, some cassettes, shirts, books, and other musical ephemera are all packed into the bins, sometimes entirely too tightly. Grab a stack, set aside, and flip freely through the rotating stock. Plenty of common classic rock, jazz, blues, punk, metal, and country with many gems sandwiched between. Good prices and always some off the beaten path titles to be found.
You need to budget yourself if youre a first timer like I was today. The selection of music is insane. Youll definitely want to set aside time. Parking meter outside is only a 1.25 for an hour. I paid for 2 lol. This store had everything from The Clash to The Ghetto Boys to new Taylor Swift to...they have literally every genre. Im on the hunt for Aaliyah...shes extremely hard to find though... Noone has Aaliyah. Bc no one is going to let go of any Aaliyah. The people that work there are very knowledgeable and were helpful, nice to chat with. Nice atmosphere. I thought the pricing was fair. Ill be back...oh and The Vinyl!!!!
Classic record store. Cincinnati treasure. Vinyl. CDs. Tapes. Vintage rock and roll everything. An absolute must-see. The owners are super nice and helpful as well. I try and stop in every time Im in the Pleasant Ridge area, and I always find something fun to listen to.
Good assortment of new and used LPS, CDs. They were kind of busy, so not overtly welcoming, but not unfriendly. I will certainly go back, not least because I saw some CDs that I wanted and a reasonably priced LP cleaner. I didnt really have time that day to really explore the used music.
This place is a classic. Im so glad its still around. Brought my son down to expose him to the pleasure of rummaging through albums. It worked. We bought a few used classics and now hes pull out our old record player (hed never even seen one until recently) and has started going through my old albums - most of which also came from Everybodys.
This is a nice place. Im not sure why, but the layout somehow reminds me of the 1950s. Im more of a hole in the wall, dungeonesque, wood floor, dimly lit record store type, but this place is still cool with its immaculate lighting and cleanliness. The staff is great and theyre totally willing to help and assist you along your journey. Im always glad to find the new and obscure items I desire in their collection.
They have everything but they were supposed to order a bill withers record for me but kept telling me to come back again so I came back later andgot shot by someone that was hired by someone that wanted me to look at them ,I didnt feel like it,Im old and tired Ill be gone soon. so ask if they can order Express!!!
We love Everybodys Records! The selection is amazing and theres nothing like the feel of a true small business music shop. My only complaints are the prices are a little high, which is to be expected to keep up with ever increasing overhead, and the place could stand to be cleaned and maintained a little more. While it doesnt keep me from going, it does make me worry about the future of the store.
I have been going there all my life. The staff knows almost everything about the industry and always wears a smile. Music from everybodys has changed my life in so many ways. I cant wait to go back to give back. The owner, is so beautiful and easy to talk to. Word of advice though, if you are not nice to her employees or staff you better watch out. Love you guys
My go to record store. Been going here for thirty plus years, with most of the same folks behind the counter. Nothing has changed in that time, including the incense, which I love. It helps create an old school record store feel instead of the newer sterile store feel. There is less used vinyl price inflation here than I see at other stores. Ive shopped at record stores in Louisville, Indy, Cincinnati, Atlanta, and I think this beats them all. The only store I may rank higher if I had an entire day to spend flipping is Jerrys in Pittsburgh.
While it seems like it has a good amount of records, I really had a hard time finding a lot of the stuff I wanted to listen to (electronic, indie pop) and for the stuff that I did find, I wasnt the biggest fan of the stores organization. You have really, really broad overall catagories (rock, rap, country, R&B, and the gospel I guess) and within those categories, particularly rock, is seemingly just a dump of music that tangentially fits into the genre designation. I made it pretty hard, for me at least, to try and find what I wanted to find, as you wonder if youre just looking in the wrong corner of the store.
This place was bigger on the inside than I thought it would be. Great selection of both new and used vinyl. They have CDs too, and a little bit of some other types of media like cassettes. There was live music when we visited too, didnt expect that when walking in. The staff were nice and helpful.
Awesome record store, Ive been to each in the region 5+ times and this comes out on top in variety, fair pricing, understanding and respect of the hobby, and staff. Pretty deep metal, rap, soul, jazz, some blues all sorts of rock and punk. Only complaint could be that they dont always share taste in obscure records. Would reccomend to huge collectors or first timers. You really cannot go wrong.
I cant wait for my next trip to Everybodys Records. There is a great selection of CDs and vinyl, both new and used, as well as posters and shirts. I went in asking for a suggestion, giving a pretty diverse array of bands I like. The employee was attentive, asking me if I know this band or that band, and finally found a band I have never heard of before. I have listen to the album probably three times in the past 24 hours. As far as I can tell, there is not an store parking lot. There is a parking lot just down the road, as well as metered street parking. That is the only downside, but lets be honest, it is Cincinnati and that situation is pretty par for the course. There are other neat stores and cafes in the area, so you can make a small adventure out of your trip. Be sure to check out the mural on the side of the building!
Great selection of new and used vinyl (LPs and 45s), CD’s and merchandise. Used inventory is always changing, so you never know what you will find. Good rock, blues and jazz sections. If they don’t have it, just ask. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help find what you are looking for.
Best record store in Cincinnati. Hands down. They have a huge amount of used vinyl, you can dig for hours. Tons of great new albums as well. Pretty wide range of genres to choose from. A lot of great posters, shirts, magazines, books The staff is super friendly and helpful. Prices are great, too.
This store was located in what I thought might be hipsterville, but Im not from the area, so Im not sure. regardless, this store was awesome. there was so much stuff in there, I could hardly see it all. I went in mainly looking for some good buys on cds. there were so many I couldnt look through them all in the almost 2hrs I spent there. the selection was killer. Im mostly into rock and heavy metal music and fell in love with the selection here. I really wanted some of the posters they had on their walls, but I wasnt the only one, since a lot of them had not for sale signs on them. seeing the posters out of metal edge, circus, rip and hit parader magazines really put me back in better times. I ended finding a few titles to buy here and probably spent about 50 bucks, but something tells me, given more time, I probably wouldve found more. good find, recommended.
Huge store , incredible used record selection .Great selection of R&B, soul and world music .Which around the Midwest , finding a great used selection of world tunes is rare.Prices are right , per usual , you can find some steals. The layout is a bit confusing , but every record shop has its quirks .Take your time at Everybody’s you could slip by and not even realize they have a whole other row of records under the tables .If you like digging , have a few hours , go shop at Everybody’s you won’t be disappointed .
I cant say enough about how nice the staff is. Yesterday, we were there and the power went out. They held all of our records for us and called today to let us know that the power came back on. I went and picked them up today and the gentlemen working there were wonderful. Ill definitely keep coming back!!
Wish I could give this place a 5 star rating every time I do business with them. I live nowhere near Cincinnati but love the Ohio bands Raisins/Bears/Psychodots. I have phoned them 3 times in the last year and a half or so, and each of the 3 times they had in stock the item(s) I was looking for. My first call resulted in finding the final Psychodots concert DVD, a limited pressing which I was grateful to obtain. My second call netted two CDs by The Bears that I did not have. And last week I called looking for The Raisins Everything And More CD, which I just knew they would not have, but they did! I received it in the mail today. So to the staff at Everybodys Records, give yourself a score of 100%!! The folks here are just so helpful on the phone, and I wished I lived nearby so I could go visit and hang out at this way cool old school Record Store. You know how sometimes you get an immediate vibe that a record store is the real deal and trying really hard to do everything right? Everybodys Records gives me those vibes! Thank you guys for doing what you do, and also for supporting your local music scene. Keep up the great work.
As far as music stores go, this place is top notch. Affordable. Friendly. Rare. Eclectic. Literally something for everybody! They have more vinyl records then I think I have ever seen, anywhere! Even back in the vinyl/cassette age! They even have 8-tracks for sale. Now if thats not rare I dont know what is.They have a great Local Artist section if youre looking for that band you heard down at Party in the Park over the summer, or just out on the town one evening, you can almost bet youd find it here.Theyve got T-shirts, cds, music movies, 8-tracks, records, cassettes, just about anything you could need! Theyre incredibly helpful, and know what theyre talking about. Even if youre looking for some crappy pop band, theyll know how to help you. They also have a record player set up to test it out before you buy it! Its a great place to spend an afternoon.
My favorite! Ive been to a lot of record stores over the last 30 years and since the resurgence of interest in vinyl Ive been appalled at the discogs influenced pricing on records new and used. Thankfully ER refuses to follow that trend and I regularly find GREAT deals on GREAT records. + Excellent staff and theres a great beer cave at the BP across the street. What more could I want?
Ive been coming here since I was 11 years old (Im now 43) and they never fail me! Every time I walk in I find something Ive been looking for and unlike the internet I can buy it now and have it in my hands VS waiting up to a week for it to be delivered to my home. As far as selling they are very reasonable. On mint condition (Like New) Cds they give you at least half of what they would sell it for(Unlike some places that want to give you a dollar per CD, then mark them up to 8.00) LPs are the same but if you have something valuable they are honest as well and again give you at least half of what theyll sell it for. They are also very meticulous when it comes to grading and handling CDs and vinyl so what youre buying will not have scratches and scuffs, thats what makes their collection prime. Needless to say I wont be happy if they ever close.
This place is exactly what youre looking for. Lots of music, new and old, CDs, vinyl, even cassettes! Great selection, and prices were pretty spot on. I particularly liked that they were burning incense when I walked in. And as usual, there was an eclectic group of weirdos milling around, on both sides of the counter...
Great selection. New and used records and cds wall to wall.Could spend all day in there!!!Almost bought a Jimi Hendrix album. When the guy behind the counter explained it wasnt Jimi but a group of studio musicians doing Hendrix songs. I thought this was very solid. He could have just sold it to me and said nothing. It cost him a sale that day. But created a loyal customer for life. A must stop for any audiophile.
This was a cool place to go I found things that I have been looking for the people were very nice greeted you when you came in and then told you to have a great day when you left if youre looking for something particular there you will find it I will definitely recommend people to shop here the great atmosphere
