I am a member of Civil Air Patrol and our building is in the back, which is well taken care of. We just got it re-painted. (Check out the Civil Air Patrol!) The city just repaved the drive and parking lots. The new skate park is amazing and theres always people there, great community environment. On top of all that they have a pretty great disk golf course. Only downside to it is if youre an amateur (like yours truly) you will probably lose one or a dozen disks in the very thick brush or the river. Although they have started to get rid of some of the brush. Theres also: public bathrooms, a pavilion, two little league sided baseball fields, and a playground area.
Its a nice park ,I like that theres a little dog park with a waste station. Theres been alot of litter though that I have to clean up just so my little kids can play without me worrying about them touching other peoples trash. Please clean up after yourselves people!..theres plenty of trash cans to put your trash.
Hard to rate this park...will be a Great park when construction is complete..will have skate park..top of the line.and when construction complete will have nice childrens play ground.. 18 hole frisbee golf course is always open..along the river..bring your fishing poles. Frisbee golf 3 1/2-4 star.
Be nice if the city created a tent city for the homeless so they would quit pitching there tents at the park along the river and in the woods. Just a thought. Maybe after a rain and the river floods, someone drowns things will change. City, you have a nice park, police it, hire someone. Im there for 20 minutes a day and I see this stuff. There is a dead puppy laying over there also. Saw a guy peeing on the outside of the restroom, several different guys washing in the river, people basically bathing from the water fountain, come on city, do something about the homeless or police this park.
Nice disc golf course for beginners. Needs to have the trash and graffiti cleaned up. Lots of broken glass on the holes in the woods. Cant have anything nice in Newark. The trashy people destroy everything and the cops are worthless. The cops let them tear stuff up and say there is nothing they can do about it. Heaven forbid they actually do what they are paid to do.

2022-07-02In general, its a nice park which is why I give it 5 stars. Good, paved walking path. Never dirty or trash anywhere. People are friendly.I dont really have many complaints, other than the dog park. It leaves much to be desired. Theres no bench or anything to sit on and zero shade. Also, every time my dog and I go, were the only ones there which is kind of weird ??I leave saddened for my dog, but to be honest, shes just happy to be in the car so I dont think shes that sad

2022-01-26This is one of my favorite places! There is a new bicycle park the kids love. Plus a playground and access to the bike trail. Walk along side the river or get across town. Lots of things to do and lots of room to do it. If your looking to get your steps in or your kids out this is the place. And after covid were all looking to get outside!

2019-07-31My son heard of this newly constructed skate park on social media and was showing me pictures. I remember hearing of this about a year ago, that it was in the works but kinda forgot about it. So today we threw the bike and skateboard in the van and I took him over to check it out. My son hasnt been to a skate park for about 2.5 years so he was excited. Its kind of hard to rate as its still under construction and for this reason I give 4 stars as of today. The design is very cool, laid out nicely. I did notice alot of trash laying around so Im hoping that wont be the norm. The people who use the facility should always remember respect and to clean up after themselves! There are trash cans close by so no excuse for it. Also, I noticed huge light posts surrounding the park so Im guessing at night this place can really be lit up which is great as far as safety measures go.

2019-07-23Still under construction but our grandson found plenty to climb on. I have no idea when they put in this play structure but holy wow! Spider web rope wall and a zip line. All the parking areas are mud right now but I cant wait till they get this finished. Other installments feature a skate/bike park, community garden area, ball diamonds and what looked like a dog park area.

2021-11-17Nice park. It sits along the river and bike path . Has a dog park . Community garden . Awesome skate park area . And a play set . But wouldnt recommend anyone with toddlers or babies to bring them to the playground. The playset is mainly for big kids . Mainly just monkey bars and ect.

2021-10-13Went from bad to worse. This used to be a great place when they had an actual playground here and when the Everett pool was here. Now its full of a bunch of foul mouthed little kids and no where for your little ones to play
