Loved it! My husband and 2 adult daughters decided to do Dr. Jones for birthday. It was very challenging and stimulating. Surprises at every turn. Great family quality time. We definitely strengthened our bond. I learned my daughters are awesome at puzzles! Super excited to bring more family to share in same experience. My ONLY complaint was the heat. There was a portable AC, but we failed to ask if we could turn it on. Our fault. Despite the heat, we loved it! Can’t wait to come back with remaining family. Hoping there is a room that is wheelchair accessible for my other daughter when we come back?
It was our first time attempting an escape room and we tried the mad scientist one. It was challenging and a lot of fun. Staff was very friendly. Parking is on the back of the building and you will have to walk around to the front of the building to get it. If you enjoy puzzles and problem solving, I highly recommend checking them out.
We wanted a family night and This was our first escape room.we didn’t know what to really expect. We did the mad scientist room which was right up our ally. It was definitely challenging but very fun for me, my husband and our 9 yr old son. Although I think I did most of the solving and they did the work, it was a blast. We unfortunately did not finish as to which we learned after it is one of the harder rooms but we did make it pretty far. Staff was very kind and helpful and pretty prompt on clues. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was the price but in the end I think it was worth it. I’m really glad we went here for our family night and we definitely will be back soon and can’t wait to try the other rooms.
Our family had an absolute blast trying to escape from the Sherlock Holmes room. The room was well designed and challenging on multiple levels from lights to locks to riddles to puzzles to math & history challenges—a variety that allowed everyone to participate regardless of age or intellect! The staff was incredibly attentive, super supportive and kind when we lost (LOL)! We’ll be back to try another room soon! :)
My husband and I are escape room enthusiasts and gave been to many establishments including three different establishments in Cleveland. We are from NY., this is the absolute worst escape room weve ever been to. Unfortunately, we booked 2 rooms back to back. First of all if you want a clue you have to give a thumbs up... (This takes minutes for someone to respond). Then you get a clue on the tv that you already know or doesnt make sense... Literally no one talks to you. About 60% of everything has a dont touch sticker on it, which doesnt make for an interactive experience. Also if you use more than 3 clues they take time away from you. The clues dont make sense they are not linear or logical. Instead you need to be a mind reader and magically figure out clues. In my opinion, this escape room is a waste of time instead do perplexity or escape in 60. Both of these establishments have great rooms.
So much fun! We had to work for the clues. It was challenging yet doable. I recommend not maxing out the room capacity, it was a little too cramped. Great way to spend a rainy day! They have all day specials also where you can do every room for one very reasonable price. Were trying that next time!
The video skipped the entire time. Clues did not lead to other clues to he solved. There were very few indicators when a clue was found. Spent time on clues we were sure we got correct but there were other ways to solve the puzzles that were not instructed to so in other ways. My husband and I usually like to go to escape rooms but this one was a disappointment.
Our group of 3 individuals did the Dr. Jones room today (1/6/18). We were really excited for this as we have done escape rooms before, but this was a less than ideal experience. First off, there appeared to be only one employee, who was neither welcoming nor enthusiastic to be there. We found the room to be overall entertaining, even though we had trouble getting certain pieces to operate properly. The room is a bit run down, which is understandable for the amount of traffic it sees, but needs some repairs and updating. Also, for our first clue, it took 4-5 minutes to get the attendant to notice us and provide the clue. We were also disappointed that about 60% of the room had do not touch stickers, which took away some of the fun of exploring. We received an email a few hours later thanking us (which is a nice and appreciated touch) and to check out our group photo, but the attendant never offered to take a photo. She clearly wanted us to be gone and to reset the room. Overall, a more attentive and friendly attendant would have greatly improved this experience.
The one room was well put together that I went in to. But the experience would have been made a whole heck of alot better if the players could communicate with the game master better with actual live feed back and not pre scripted pictures for clues. It was really challenging tho so thats why the three stars. If it was anything less of a challenge it would have been less.
Friendly, polite, and professional staff. He explained which rooms are the most difficult, went through the rules, gave us the clues when we needed them. We did the mad scientist room, we got out with 1 minute left. It was a good challenge. We reserved the room so we didnt have to deal with anyone we didnt want to. Most of the negative posts on here are from people that can not read their website. It is clear that unless you reserve the entire room, you will get random people. The rooms take an hour to finish, so you can not show up right when they close. Escape rooms are generally made for adults, so dont expect kids to solve them.Only thing they need to improve on is hiring another staff for the same shift. We got the impression that it was only 1 guy running the entire thing at the time. Maybe hire him some help?
This was only my 2nd escape room, however, I play computer puzzle games in the same genre of Myst and The Room. My group did the Red Alert room. The design and look of the room was awesome, it really looked like the inside of a spaceship! We found out after we did not complete our mission in 60 minutes that it is the hardest room there, so I highly recommend only experienced escape room players for this one. We had a blast though, the staff was friendly and helpful and wed definitely go back for other rooms.
The 3 stars are for the room and clues. Honestly, it was really a let down and it was sons my birthday. I paid a lot and it was me and my husband and 5 teenagers. We did the mad scientist room and it was to hard for our group. We told the worker it was all the kids first time and I feel like he should have suggested an easier room. In fact when we were done he told us that the Indiana Jones room would have been better for us. The kids were getting frustrated and ultimately ended with them not having fun. Also it was taking one to two minutes for us to receive our Clues and I feel like he wasnt really paying attention to our room and was just giving us the answers.
This is extremely fun! Ive been to two of their rooms with people of various age ranges (once with highschoolers and once with 25-35-year-olds) and they have been amazing. The puzzles are just challenging enough to be fun but not so difficult so as to frustrate you. The gamemasters are helpful in pointing you in the right direction if youre not getting something obvious.I do wish that any new drawers/puzzles/rooms you unlocked would make a sound so you knew what you just unlocked and where it was because sometimes its just not immediately obvious. They did give us several extra minutes to finish (I imagine this was only possible because no one rented the room after our slot and we were veeeery close to escaping).I suppose it does get pretty expensive (especially with smaller groups, I think), but it seems like its at the right price point comparatively. Its definitely been worth the entertainment both times.
I encourage anyone to STEER CLEAR. Its advertised as the best escape rooms in Cleveland and while I havent tried any of the other yet, if it has a claim to be the best I truly wouldnt want to see the others. Since when did meticulous attention to detail translate into broken items (not just one or two, but most of them) and locks that will not open? Since when did charismatic staff that set the tone translate into apathetic staff who could not care if you were there or not and had no actual want to help you when you were stuck on something that was their fault? We knew the place would be a problem when, in the middle of this immersive experience theres a portable AC unit on the floor near the middle of the room that sticks out like a sore thumb and was in the way. They did ask if we wanted that on though, so props to them. Room was still hot since they only set the AC to 73.You start by watching a 20-inch monitor (and for our group of 5 we had to get really close to even see it) and it gives you directions about not touching things and what not. The do not touch is marked by stickers, and my god, they were all over that room. There was maybe a dozen things in the entire room we COULD touch. They also say do not touch the wires, unless its the wires you are supposed to touch (which half of them were broken but still showed the correct next answer when you put them near each other? Immersive, right?). Why do you have exposed wiring that we are not allowed to touch? Would it have been so difficult to hide that exposed wiring thats meant for your security cameras? We had five in the room and I wish they wouldve advertised that it should not have more than 4 because they only let you find one singular clue at a time, so we were always stepping over each other. The room is small to say the least, and the break-off rooms are broom closets. We felt like we were useless half of the time because none of the clues are designed for more than two people. We attempted the Mad Scientist Room and probably would have finished it if the lock was not broken to the point they had to bring in a bolt cutter immediately after we left. The room looked as though they bought all of the supplies at the Spirit Halloween End-Of-Season sale, and reminded me of an abandoned grocery store thats been transformed into a haunted house. The room was challenging, sure, but not as challenging and trying to determine if two things that look identical are different colors without being able to touch it. Even still, we had the correct combination for the lock with 25 minutes left on the clock, and the staff was (im assuming) just watching us in the control room lose our minds trying to determine new combination lock colors when it really was as simple as our first answer. They gave us 10 minutes back, so again, props to them.Their claim is that their Charismatic Staff that sets the tone for the experience, and it did set a tone alright. They were rude, tried placing the blame for the lock on us and then brought in 3 different people to try to fix the lock and were completely unsuccessful. So they just begrudgingly said ok well the next answer is... and pointed us to the next lock and started the 10 minutes. We asked for a clue one time, and yet somehow all of our clues were used with them giving us answers to things we solved. They say please wait 20-30 seconds for a clue which translated into about 6 minutes. During the first clue, we were looking for coordinates and a clue popped up and all it said was its on the ____. No theming, no engagement, just a hey stupids, its there. There was one singular animation in this room that spoke so Hush whisper we could not hear him over the portable AC they parked immediately next to him. This was how we lost the game, we had him repeat himself like six times and still did not hear the correct words for the combo locks.
The room and the clues were great in theme and in theory. Some clues have a great number of misspellings and other errors that are a little distracting. We mistakenly were taking note of all the missing letters, thinking they were important, somehow.Additionally, it would be helpful if there was some sort of chime when you solve or unlock something. Several times we solved a puzzle, but werent aware we were correct because its sometimes not apparent when things open. Generally speaking, this place is great and we always have a wonderful time!
This was a fun adventure we completed as a family for a birthday celebration. I would not suggest including kids under 12 because they wont appreciate it. There were 9 of us including 3 kids and we finished with 3 minutes left. I definitely want to try it again with 4 to 6 adults.
This place was amazing. The staff is amazing we did the Indiana Jones room with 10 people. And we talked about it for days. Theme was perfect with the set pieces being of high quality and extremely technical for a room experience. Cant wait to go back and try more. So exciting. Exactly what an escape game experience should be. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
This was my second time and this location. We went for a work event to have some fun. The people were friendly and the room was handled well. Everyone had a good time, and getting the Groupon helped with the cost. The made scientist room was challenging, but not so much that people werent able to solve the puzzles. We escaped with just over 10 minutes left. 👍🏻 My only issue is the lack of parking they have.
We did the Hangover room and completed with a little over 2 minutes left. This was one of the best experiences of my life. I cant believe the thrill of busting through the door. I would recommend this to anyone out there who likes the thrill of solving interconnected puzzles or just wants to have a good time. I cant wait to come back and try the Mad Doctor. We will also be trying new Secret Agent Room one of the staff members told me is about to open soon. The best part of the whole experience was working with in a group of strangers and friends who all contributed to one common goal. Without everyones help, we would not have escaped the room. Thanks for an amazing 57 minutes.
We went in knowing the concept of what an escape room was about and was looking forward to the experience but not looking forward to being in a group with other people since it was just the two of us. we got matched up with our team and it was a bit awkward not knowing the people we were paired up with at all, after 10 minutes we to starting to rely on them for help to escape, we quickly learned what each member of the group was good at and about 30 minutes in we were really having fun. it was defiantly a team effort that got us to escape the room after 50 minutes and the elation i felt for completing the task with people who were not an hour ago strangers quickly made us friends. it was the other group of 5 that nominated our group as the adopted family. my apprehension for spending that much time in a confined space with strangers was quickly dispelled. i know some of you will question if this is for you for that reason but i believe that anyone willing to pay to be locked up for fun cant be that bad of a person so jump in and try it out. it truly is a unique and amazing experience. the staff are inedible and our game master Jay was great. He makes sure to explain things well before hand and is a great guide throughout the game. We’ve been to other escape rooms in the area but this one is run so well and the game i played was so much fun i will not be going anywhere else. give these guys a try, i promise they will not let you down
Took a group here for my moms birthday. The employees were accommodating and friendly. The room was filled with cheaply made puzzles and props. With the amount of people handling the materials I would think they would want the props to last. We had a harder time (we didnt expect to make it completely through the challenge) because some of the puzzles opened or revealed information without actually completing in the sequential order expected. This was a result of the lack of quality in the set up. Outside of that the group had a good time working together (or against each other). We did wish more information was disclosed at the end about some of the materials or clues we had trouble with. We wound up leaving with a feeling of incompleteness. I have been to another escape room experience and they broke down the room at the end, which left me with a sense of inquisitiveness rather that the feeling of lack of conclusion. I will probably visit another escape room, but it wont be a second trip to this location. It was just ok.
John at the North Olmsted location was an amazing host! He kept my group and I laughing and he was EXTREMELY entertaining. I went with a group of 9 and he was very personable to all of us and made our experience one to remember. We will definitely return to try the other rooms!!
Had the opportunity to experience my first escape room a couple days ago. Find my thoughts continuing to process of what we were trying to accomplish. I guess we were about 3 clues away when we ran out of time. It was a very fun time & can’t wait to go back and do it again.
Played the Mad Doctor room today with colleagues and had a blast. Great set design, fun puzzles and team play. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun outing with friends, family or colleagues. Our host Angelique was fantastic!room today with colleagues and had a blast. Great set design, fun puzzles and team play. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun outing with friends, family or colleagues. Our host Angelique was fantastic!
So. Much. FUN! The Hangover 2.0 was so interactive and well planned. My group got so immersed in the story that the hour felt like it was only ten minutes. Multiple puzzles to solve that all required different strengths so no one was left out. This was my first time at an escape room and I will 100% be checking out more.
This place was more fun than a barrel of monkeys! Oh my God our first escape room we had no idea what to expect We did the tombstone room and it was like you walk into the Wild Wild West!! Staff was great and welcoming our group had a blast and were definitely coming back to another room!
This is the second time Ive been to Escape Room Cleveland and it was amazing! The staff is always SUPER friendly and helpful. We did Sherlock and managed to escape! It was perfect for our friends who have never done escape rooms and yet still super challenging for a few of us who have done these before! Such a fun activity. Highly recommend!
The new spaceship room has potential, but the tech is too buggy. We wasted so much time messing around magnets that wouldnt stick, a safe that wouldnt open (the game master had to put the code in 5 times), and a puzzle that told us to continue even though it was not completed properly, thus stopping our progress. After about 80 rooms, this is the first negative review Ive written. Nothing is more frustrating than multiple malfunctions while the clock is ticking. With all of the options in the Cleveland area, I recommend trying elsewhere.
All I can say is try it out. We went into room being intelligent individuals and thinking it would be fun to escape. Needless to say we did not. The Mad Scientist Room was challenging and fun. We go two steps from end and ran out of time. Alot harder then I thought so dont take it lightly. The room was very well thought out and kept you on your toes. Cant wait to go back and try another room. Every clue and puzzle we solved led to more excitement and more fun. Will be back there soon.
First escape room experience. Had a great time! We did The Hangover and Double Agent. The hangover was awesome, solved it with 5 minutes to go. Double Agent was good but we didnt solve it completely. Just dont think about anything too hard! Nice staff that gave good direction.
I think the rooms are fun. My main issue is that we got stuck in a room with a bunch of teenagers who werent apart of our group. They didnt want to work together until we had 20 minutes left. It was a waste of $125 between the 5 of us. Definitely not worth the price tag. And we tried calling and emailing about having other people in the room earlier that day. We didnt receive any information till after the game was over and we had left. If we wouldve known we had another group, we wouldve chose another room or rescheduled it. The gamemaster did not give us the option of rescheduling. And I asked to switched to another room, but he had already closed them down. Very disappointed with N. Olmsted escape room especially its a hit or miss with the staff. Some pay attention to the game, while others do not.
Escape Room Cleveland is the industry standard of what escape rooms should aspire to be. Very clean cut puzzles with great implementations of technology. I have done 3 of their rooms and each has a well thought out combination of puzzles to make their games interesting for a variety of group sizes. Their themes are excellent choices and provide a new experience with each room. Would highly recommend. Over all our family and friends loved every minute of it! We will be back!!!
What a great and truly unique experience! When youve been with the love of your life for over twenty years, it can be hard to find things that are not the same old thing for date night. Im glad we found Escape Room Cleveland, It made date night a blast. We tried the hangover room, and finished with 30 seconds to spare. Not only was it fun it was an opportunity to try something different for a change then the movies or dinner. The staff was amazing they were courteous and very attentive to our needs. I was very pleased with the whole experience. We will be coming back to try the different rooms for sure!... Thank you Escape room Cleveland you have gained a new fan.
Disrespectful workers. Stopped our game short. Very very very cheap props that break easily and they will blame you, threaten to make you pay for it. Stopped our game short and refused to give us our money back. The owner locked us in the room and berated my mother and our family. Threatened to fight me when I told him the way he was acting was inappropriate. Overall the worst experience of my life.Dont be shocked if youre treated the same way. No respect to anyone, especially my mother. The way he yelled in my moms face made me utterly sick. Have some respect for women, I know thats hard for you.
We tried the mad scientist room. When we called to ask they recommended this was an easy room. We thought is was difficult since weve never done an escape room before. There was very little direction with the clues. The introduction video said to wait up to 30 seconds when requesting a clue. We waited ALOT longer than that! One clue we had to wait at least 5 minutes for. So disappointing.
The air conditioning was not working and multiple times we signaled to the staff that we were extremely hot in the room. There was a portable air conditioner that we were instructed to not turn on! It ruined our experience and wasted our money. They obviously were not looking at us at all on the video. Saying we are dying up here of heat. Afterwards they didn’t seem to care or offer us any compensation. We will never go back.
Our familys first experience in any escape room was the Mad Science room. Though the 10 of us (ages 11-47) were completely disfunctional, we were able to escape within 5 minutes of the record time. -We thought it was a challenge... UNTIL we came back to do The Hangover 2. What we learned from Mad Science is that you have to work together as a team and no ones idea on how to solve the riddles should be cast aside. The Hangover was much more complex and had some really fun twists!! After more than 30 minutes we did relent and ask for a clue. As the clock hit the 5 minute mark we thought we might fail. We escaped with just 3 minutes to spare, Thrilling!! John and his team have created a very unique experience. Well worth our hours drive to the facility. This is such great family fun that we plan to return for Sky Fall and John, we look forward to holding up our No room can hold us sign.
Great games. Friendly staffed, well worth the money. EDIT: This review is NOT one I made. Ive never even heard of this place. I got a notification my review was popular and went to my contributions tab and looked at my reviews and found this. There is no reason this should be able to happen and shows how restaurants and other establishments are somehow able to do this. Again I NEVER wrote this review and have NEVER visited this place in my life nor have I heard of it. Please screenshot this and share to spread awareness that fake reviews are being generated through REAL people and they dont even know because you only get notified of it when its gained traffic. Did the Sherlock room yesterday for Mother’s Day. This has been a yearly tradition, third time at this location. We did not escape which is fine, however we felt we were cheated time. The game host was uninterested and didn’t care. It says 20-30 seconds for a clue, we waited minutes for a clue, at one point we were given a clue for something we hadn’t done yet. There was a black light that had some technical difficulties, which we mentioned on the way out, again the game host acted like she didn’t care. In the past if something malfunctioned or had issues previous game hosts gave us extra time. We lost at least 5-10 minutes due to these issues, disappointing since it was a gift. Room was cool but experience was subpar and not what we’ve experienced in the past.
I absolutely love escape rooms, and have visited many in several cities. This one was hands-down my favorite! The set-up, the technology, the organization and the surprises were all top-notch! I cannot wait to visit again and this will be be on the top my priority list! I highly recommend this business!!
Tried out the Hangover room with my sister in laws, it was so much fun... we all got to bond and work together to escape... which we did with 30 seconds to spare!!! 😄 They have 5 rooms total, so we will definitely be back to try out the other 4. Thanks for a great time!!!
I had a fantastic time the other day (01/20/2017). My group was only two adults, but one was a complete n00b to escape rooms. This was over all my 4th escape room. The building its self was completely weird. It was like half old warehouse/half old house. We booked the Indiana Jones themed room. The room its self was ok. The props helped a lot to get you warped into 1900s. It could of been aged a bit more to give it the vintage feel. Each staff member we interacted with was super awesome and friendly. At points in the game, they didnt even give us a clue if we needed one since we were on the right track and kept encouraging us. We came two steps close from winning the game but we got stumped on a step that wasnt really a step. The clues did get harder throughout the game. I actually learned about so many different types of locks because of this game vs. some others that Ive played before. That was our own doing. The only problem about doing these escape rooms - you cant really re-do a room. I do know though I would love to try some of their other rooms. But please, do more movie themed rooms! They are so much fun compared to generic ones. I will be back for sure!
I have been to several escape rooms in other states and this one paled in comparison. Our group of 8 did the mad scientist room. Setting and mood and story have a lot to do with the experience of an escape room and this room was not immersive at all. I did not for one minute believe this was the laboratory of a mad man. It felt like an empty office space with some tables and posters and papers. It was uncreative. The props were lame and basically anything that looked remotely interesting had a do not touch sticker on it. Basically, dont touch anything in the room. How am I supposed to feel immersed when everywhere I look there are stickers that warn: Dont touch this because its not part of the game! It was primarily math oriented...almost no narrative type riddles or clues at all. Just basically number crunching the whole time. If you dont enjoy LOTS of number riddles, this is not the room for you. I dunno...we paid over 200 bucks for one hour in this room and I expected a lot more.
My friends and I tried it out for the first time and now we are all hooked. Everytime we needed help, the staff was there right away, plus they were moreThan helpful. We had such a great time that we are coming back to try the rest of the games. It’s an awesome place and I’m glad that I get to experience it again!
I participated in the Indiana Jones escape room, with eleven others. The room capacity designated seemed a bit too large; it was pretty crowded. The puzzles were very fun, but had cliché UV blacklight that you always see. The only detriment was that points on a map in the room relevant to the puzzles had been touched by peoples fingers so many times that they were clearly worn down (perhaps lamination or plastic covering would fix this) that gave away the locations we needed. Other than that, good time! Interested in going again.
Terrible experience and customer service. Several clues were tripped before we entered the room. We spent 20/30 minutes trying to unlock a clue that had already been unlocked. They wouldn’t give us extra time, and when I tried to speak with the owner they blew me off. If they were watching the cameras like they said, why didn’t they see that something was wrong? Don’t support bad business!
Did this escape room back in August 2016 as my first escape room ever. I purchased a groupon and was emailing back and forth with the owner who was very helpful. My group consisted of four adults. It was incredibly difficult and there would have been no way we’d be able to figure out some of the clues. The room was mad scientist. The staff member was friendly but did not explain anything other than “do not touch” we would wave to the camera to get clues and it would take her 5 min or so to get to our room so we lost more time on the clock. We solved 3 clues and got hints on two of them. There were 7+ clues to solve. Very disappointed with the staff member and her lack of explanation. This past summer I decided to purchase vouchers as a birthday gift. I emailed the owner to see if there were any specials. He got back to me quickly and told me I could book online or stop in. I decided to stop in thinking I could pick up an actual gift card to include with the birthday card. I recognized the girl behind the counter as the one we had last summer. I mentioned we had done the mad scientist room the year before and it was extremely difficult and she said they completely changed the room. I informed her I had spoke with the owner about a special and she told me she was unable to give it to me and asked if I wanted to talk to him (on the phone). This made me uncomfortable. I declined calling him and showed her our emails. She told me she still couldn’t do it on their system so offered me a different package that was $5-10 more. I said fine. We went through all the prompts. I told her what to write on the voucher and how to sign the names. She put indentations where they didn’t belong, did not capitalize names, puncuatio was wrong etc. (She was using the website to do everything - had I known this I would have just done this at home) She then told me she had to do two separate transactions because she rung it up wrong. So now instead of one gift voucher for four people I was going to have (2)two people vouchers. She then missed that up. I ended up with (1) two people vouchers and (2)one person vouchers. She went to laminate the paper and gave them back to me. At this point I had been here for an hour. When she gave them back one of the vouchers lamination was all messed up and she said she wasn’t able to reprint. I left and immediately emailed the owner. I was bothered that the price I was offered was not honored and all the issues I had with the girl. I was embarassed by these vouchers and how I had to gift them. I let the owner know and he apologized and offered to refund me the difference. The only reason why I give this place 3 stars is because the owner was good to work with. The staff member should be let go. I can’t say I would recommend this place.
I did the mad scientist room. The puzzles were uninspired. We inadvertently circumvented two puzzles. One of the locks didnt work even with the right combo. Overall a deflating room. The business might have some other good rooms, but the mad scientist challenge isnt worth your time.
Advertised online to be open till 11pm, we called up trying to schedule a room, when they advised us that they were only staying open till 9pm. Made it very inconvenient for the night we had planned. Person on the phone came off as very standoffish as well. If I could rate less than 1 star I would.
My daughter and three if her friends went last night and had a good time.. They said all the employees were friendly and very encouraging in the challenge.. There are different themed challenges and its easy to book online and pay before you get there at least 15 minutes before start so it runs smoothly.. Recommend this over a night at the movie theater.. And before or after you can visit Malleys next door too!
Entire family had the best time in doing the wild Wild West room we ended up not escaping but we had such a great time we didnt a 2 no room (Dr Jones and we had a blast making it out with 39 seconds to spare! Cant wait for strongsville location to open up we wont have to drive so far!
Arrived back into town yesterday for a few days and decided to pay another visit to Escape Room Cleveland with friends and family this time. We tried the new double agent room OMG idk if we enjoyed the game more or the special effects . Place has really changed a lot since the summer will definitely be back again!!!
I love the escape room in North Olmsted and it by far the best one Ive been to in Ohio. Ive tried the Hangover and the Wild Wild West rooms and looking forward to trying all the rooms. Im also excited about the new location opening up in Strongsville that is opening soon.
Might be interesting if you didnt visit any other location but this site was deceiving. Music on tv (because they dont give explanation themself, they have a video do everything) last for the entire experience and was way too loud!!! The hints were, for a few of them, not very logic (without any link to anything) and the cables (from old version of the room)and dont touch symbol were everywhere... We ended up not knowing what we could or couldnt touch or do... There are best choices around cleveland than this location.
I do believe this to be one of the best in Cleveland, but as other reviewers have said, the quality here is woeful in comparison to a city with good escape rooms. Puzzles, technology, customer service, cleanliness, and general quality needs some work. I am not sure why any of the really good ones have not yet made it to Cleveland.
Called earlier in the day and asked if I needed to make reservations, I was told that I did not need reservations and that I could just walk in. Drove an hour to get there to be told that I could not just walk in. Unorganized, unprofessional, and was a waste of my time and gas. If I could put less than one star, I would.

2022-06-20Amazing! This was my first escape room and I made a reservation online for me and my best friend. When we got there, the employee was very nice and had the room all ready for us. Our first room was Sherlock and when we didnt pass she told us how close we were to passing and shared interesting facts about the rooms. We payed for another room on the spot and the employee was very quick to set up the room for us. They answer all your questions the best they can and they are there to help when you need it. When you first enter the rooms, they show you a 5 minute video with the rules and also a backstory to your room to make sure you understand everything. My friend and I had an amazing time and we are already talking about reserving another room soon.

2022-03-16We did the enigma room and when on the second to last puzzle we stood there waiting trying to figure out what to do until time ran out (about 3 minutes). A couple minutes after time ran up the employee came in and said that they were supposed to hit a button, but were busy taking a picture and letting another group out. So we knew how to solve the next puzzle, but we just couldn’t because they didn’t hit a button so we didn’t get the necessary equipment to finish. We were told sorry and we did well though. So another group’s photo took priority over us finishing our room. The employee was nice enough, it was just a poor experience. There should have been more than one person working.

2022-03-13One of the puzzles was broken. We had correctly solved the puzzle and solving the puzzle was supposed to play audio for the next puzzle, but, unbeknownst to our group, the audio was not working. We thought there was another puzzle we had to solve to advance the room that we just were not getting, so with 10 minutes left we asked for a clue and got no response from the employees, and never got a response in the remaining time we had left, despite asking for clues multiple times. When the time ended, the employee came in and checked the part we were stuck on, and lo and behold, the audio was not playing so we did not have the necessary information to complete the final puzzle in time.So not only was the room broken, the employees didnt help us when we were stuck on the broken room--we thus wasted our remaining time in the room trying to solve an unsolvable puzzle. We were not offered anything for our trouble, and the employee even suggested it was OUR fault the puzzle wasnt working, because we had been touching the audio dial in an attempt to get it to play. Yes, we moved the dial, but only because the puzzle wasnt working in the first place, and we thought there was more to solve (and there was no no-touch sign on the dial anyway).

2022-01-28Several pieces of the room malfunctioned, resulting in the staff entering the room 4 times to say “well, this isn’t working. Just skip this part and move on.” We didn’t pay $90 to stand in a room for an hour while the staff solved the puzzle for us, we payed to play a game. After 40 of our 60 minutes, they offered to put us in a different room- two hours later. I asked for a refund and the young woman said “I’m sorry, we’ve told our managers about this fifty times and they just won’t fix any of it. They said it’s too expensive.” So, they’re intentionally taking people’s money for a product that they know isn’t working. After several attempts to reach a leader regarding the refund, I have not heard a peep from anyone. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!UPDATE: It’s been 2 weeks and nobody has returned a call or email about this. Steer clear and spend your money with people that care about providing a positive customer experience!

2021-04-06Awesome family fun night! Friendly staff faces met us at the North Olmsted location with lots of enthusiasm. Our family of 7 (ages 10-45) was the perfect team to break the mad scientist room. We’ll be back to try and conquer the other escape rooms soon!
