The customer service is horrible. Try using your adult voice to acknowledge a customer has walked in and what are they attempting to do, pick-up or drop Off?I literally watched them ignore customers & ringing phones. Which, explains why I couldnt get ahold of them during business hours. As a matter of fact, every time I called this office no one answered the phone.Its obvious the folks that work in the Newark, OH office are not supported with training or leadership. Ive been in there twice and so far its been a 100% sh!t show.Im a subject matter expert when it comes to customer service. Ive been doing it for over 30 years. It takes me 2 minutes to figure out the quality of service that is about to be delivered.
This place was a lifesaver for when we got our car worked on at the Kia dealership across the way The manager was very friendly very accommodating and like again I said was a lifesaver that day so we got a car last minute. Even though they didnt have much of a selection because of being so busy but like I said again the staff was very friendly very accommodating and we really enjoyed their service.
During this crazy time, I had to move for my job. Renting from Enterprise was one decision that turned out great! We got an excellent price, a great car, and the customer service was awesome. Wonderful experience! Highly recommend Enterprise if you ever need to rent a car.
Always friendly and kind when Im in need of a rental. Fast efficient and if you have any problems with the rental all you have to do is let them know. They take care of the rest. As a mother of 4 and many appointments Im always looking for someone to rely on when I need a better vehicle than ny own.
So to start I reserved a Scar (standard) over a month before I needed it. Got there had to wait 20 minutes for the lady to tell me the car she was giving me. She never felt the need to tell me she down graded my car but lucky for me I had a list of all the cars they had and what types they are (I would recommend you doing the same) and knew she had done this. So i brought it up at which time I get told oh yea we are out of the Standard car(mind you I walked past 2 of them on my way in) but we will give you a discount for this okay so this discount was really not much maybe 5 bucks off a day not worth the problems I had driving this car with 3 others and all of our luggage in the car (the reason I wanted the Scar was for our bags to all fit in the trunk which in this they didnt talk about a bad 30 hour drive!!!) So after waiting the first 20 minutes to get the paper work signed I ended up waiting yet another hour to get the car. So now we are driving and it rains talk about fun times there the wiper blades on the car had to be the most pointless things I have ever seen in my life it was safer to not use them. But to round it all out the car was nice the people working for them are nice but they dont tell you any thing and try to just sweep it under the rug and hope you dont notice. I dont even want to know how many times they have done this to me before this I thought I was getting the wrong car almost every time I have been there but wasnt sure until this time when I got the list of the cars and classes off google. So my advice is dont go in their blind find spend the time to find the list online and know what you are doing they will try to screw you over if they can.....
My rental pick up was scheduled for 10am. I called around 10:30 to confirm and let them know I would not be there until around noon. I was told that, because I was not there at 10 they had to rent my reserved vehicle to someone else would not have a car for me until 5:30. That seemed a little persnickety. The delay set back a few hours, but thankfully didnt ruin my travel plans. I arrived at 5:30. It took around 45 minutes before I was behind the wheel of my rental. They gave me a very nice 2019 Ford Fusion hybrid. I enjoyed driving it for a week. When I returned the vehicle Jameson helped me right away. He was very friendly and smiled a lot and thanked me. The return process only took about 10 minutes. In all, everything was good except the pick-up being delayed and taking too long.
Excellent service at this location! Kyle, the branch manager, goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Whether youre renting a car for a week or just a few days, Enterprise is one of the best value options. They offer pick-up and special weekend rates, too.
I used the Enterprise in Newark Ohio on 21st st. It started with my driver telling me they needed to talk to me, as my rental was involved in an accident, they had a Yukon coming back in 2 hours, I decide to go and wait and have lunch across the street. From the time I arrived the staff where so friendly and kept checking on me asking if I needed anything. The rental was great can not say enough how friendly they where to me but also to the customers who picked up or dropped cars off. The Manager I forget his name was on top of his game and was very impressive. Other businesses could use this group of people to see how customer service should be.. Again thank you for all your time and help. I will be back for sure in a few months for another rental
Windshield wipers didn’t work on my car. When I called before dropping off my car they said they would give me a ride home, and then didn’t give me a ride when I needed it. Also, I thought rentals were supposed to be full of gas before you rent, and this one had half a tank.
Pickup and drop off were very easy. Car was ready and waiting. I was not able to connect my phone at all to use the hands free options in the car, or to listen to music from my phone which was disappointing. The windshield wipers needed replaced during my rental period. I called the service line and they directed me to the nearest shop for them to be replaced.
I am a frequent renter at this location. I come in a least once a month if not more to rent a vehicle. I have gotten to know the staff pretty well and they are great to do business with. I enjoy living with in a certain distance for this location because they will pick me up and drop me off if I ask. I have had a few issues getting a car that the inside smelled like cigarette smoke even though you are not suppose to smoke in them. I have also received one or two cars that felt like someone just got done smoking pot in it. Other than those situations service has been good and the staff is super friendly!
Ive rented for about 5 or 6 years now to go on vacation. With the exception of this year it had gone very smoothly. I tried to upgrade my rental and no notes were taken of the changes (altho I had received confirmation via Email) and felt pushed into a smaller rental. The 2016 Jeep Renegade was a fun and roomy compact SUV but HORRIBLE on gas. I recommend not renting one for long distance travel.
Service was great from the very professional staff. However, your reservation does not mean something 100% of the time. They called me asking to come in only to find that they have nothing available, and they got my reservation time wrong when I went in next. When I did get the very nice Hyundai Elantra, I was very pleased with everything from that point on.
Always a good experience renting vehicles with Enterprise both professionally and for personal need. We were blessed with our last rental. Booked on-line, had family of 7 going out of state for Spring break. When we arrived the team in Newark, Ohio found us a van so we would all be together - we didnt have to rent two cars after all. It was a wonderful surprise when we arrived and it started out our vacation on a positive path. Thank you team Newark for being so nice to us!
These people at Enterprise were very friendly and they had great customer service. The manager there helped me out because he knew I was having some financial problems and just wrecked my pickup truck he hooked me up with some good deals and was very friendly about everything. I highly recommend this place anybody that is willing to help somebody out that is in need is a good place to me awesome customer service!!!
I have used Enterprise about a dozen times in the past 2 years and have never had a single issue. The staff at the Newark, Ohio location make you feel like a Client instead of a customer and go out of their way to make sure your well taken care of. That is why I tell everyone I know to rent from Enterprise
The on-line renting process was straightforward and easy because I frequently rent via on-line.The local Newark staff was friendly and efficient with me in and out in about 20 minutes with a 2016 Kia Rio.Always walk around your rented vehicle with a staff member to inspect the car before leaving. We noted minor nicks.The next day, leaving for a trip, a indicator light on the dash came on. With no manual I called support who took a good 20 minutes to determine that the light was low brake fluid. They told me where to buy brake fluid, saving the receipt for reimbursement. The light went out after about 30 miles and never reappeared.Part of the support process was identifying the vehicle. It was then that the car had Ohio tags but a Michigan registration for an identical but different car. Fortunately that did not become an issue during my rental.Returning the car I took the MI registration to the counter person pointing out the discrepancy. He said hed look into it.The car was relatively clean though I later found a girls lip gloss and some napkins under the passenger seat.The Kia Rio had many, many options with limited Sirius radio yet no cruise control, a pain for freeway driving. It handled well on WV state and county roads with reasonable mileage from the 4 cylinder with 6 speed automatic. The trunk had plenty of room.A good experience overall.
Excellent, excellent, excellent service and great cars at Newark Enterprise. Specifically, Brian Sweeney is a terrific associate and goes the extra mile in providing prompt, courteous service, every time, all the time!! I rent for business fairly frequently and would not consider going anywhere else!
2nd time renting from enterprise. 1st time I was in and out pretty fast with no glitches. The 2nd time I was the 1st customer and rented my car in advance online. It took me approximately 30-45 min. to complete. I was told I needed a utility bill to complete my transaction. I told her we did not need one the 1st time and it would be very nice if we would have known ahead of time so we could be prepared. It was embarrassing for people to watch us search for a bill. After we finally found a bill that satisfied the attendant she took us to the car. It was very dirty. Both seats in the front were very stained. There was a hole in the drivers seat. She did let us bring back the car on empty but still the humiliation about that stooped bill then a dirty car was too much. We almost was not able to make a very important convention because of a utility bill.
The guy was awesome! The car was dirty and smelled like smoke. :( This has been my experience the last three car rentals. There was some kind of gross smeared on the passenger side window. And how difficult would it be to spray Febreeze to get the smoke smell out? Arent you guys supposed to clean the cars before the next renter?
I would give zero stars if possible. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE.We requested a specific vehicle based on our group size and the long distance we were traveling. Asked for a large truck and got a van....not the same thing at all.Got a very late notification that they couldnt get a truck for us after we had already gone to pick it up. Very unhappy with experience through this branch.
Highly recommend Enterprise...it is very important to get the extra insurance coverage because if you have any issues with the car that you have rented, you can take it to any other enterprise in whatever state your in even if its not the one that you originally rented it from, no questions asked they switch you cars immediately. If they dont have the same car or one like it they give you an instant upgrade.
Depends on who you talk to. Haha. Just wanted to get a joke in. By far the most positive experience I have had in a while. Kyle is THE BEST supervisor and employee there at enterprise on 21st street Newark Ohio. I almost always try to deal with him.Years ago when I lived in California I rented from the Enterprise stores in Ventura, Port Hueneme, Camarillo, Oxnard, Santa Barbara, California.I usually rented weekend specials, but they made me feel like a prized customer. I stopped renting for financial reasons. Now that I am renting weekend specials, I am getting that prized customer feeling again. Its fun again.
I rented from Enterprise in Newark twice over 2 weeks while my car was in the shop. The 1st time they tried to charge me $240 on a $74 rental for insurance, etc that I had specifically waived. The 2nd time I returned the car early and was told that I would get a reduction for the days not rented, but they charged me anyway. I think they are unethical and I will rent somewhere else from now on!
We made a reservation then get a call when we are pulling up to pickup rental ...they do not have the car we reserved! The guy says we have a large pickup you can rent that is twice the price not to mention a gas hog I am sure.Enterprise should have offered us the truck without and up charge ...since they did not have our reserved car!
I will not be coming back to this place again bc we rented a truck through are Insurance we were told one thing then know their charging us for extra day we got it Friday and returned it sunday since their not open it was their when they got their first thing in morning we got charged another day witch is not right at all I thing they need to do drop off and something that tells them when you drop it off not charge people extra day when its already back their at the location so not right.

2022-05-26So my experience isnt based from a customer, but as an employee. I am a detailer in Newark Ohio. Whether it is trucks, Vans, or cars there is always a variety to choose from. Another detailer and myself do our best to clean each vehicle as best as we can in a reasonable time frame. You would be shocked on how these vehicles look when we get them back. Dirt, dog hair, hay, rocks. And the difference after we clean them. Our inside staff are always friendly and try hard to fulfill your needs. If I had a bad experience, I would be honest about it. Been working here for almost 2 months now.These are before and after shots.

2022-08-10This Enterprise, left a woman and her 5 children stranded for almost 24 hours!! They had no money for food, or anything. what they could scramble together they then had to use to get a hotel room and Enterprise left them ALONE! with no help at all DONT RECOMMEND! 0-STARS.

2022-06-04Reserved and paid for a car an entire month out from a planned vacation. The day before pick up, get a text saying car is ready to be picked up at 10:30. Drive 45 minutes just for them to tell us they don’t have the car, or any SUV’s for that matter available for us to take. Terrible first experience

2022-05-14I only brought a friend to this location to rent a car after his was wrecked. Ive actually rented from Enterprise in the past as well. It always goes smoothly and painless. I highly recommend Enterprise.

2022-03-23This has been. The absolute worst car rental experience Ive ever had. They never return a phone call, youll wait forever on hold. No one knows whats going on at any moment. I would highly suggest choosing a different rental company.

2022-08-09If there was a option for 0 stars I would choose that one. My niece rented a van and was traveling alone with 5 children to Connecticut and back. Yesterday their van broke down and it was almost 24 hours before enterprise replaced her van with a F 150. With 5 freaking kids and no cover for the bed and all their luggage? Luckily she made it back safe and sound. I have always used enterprise but I will no longer be using them!!

2022-08-10Left my cousin and her 5 kids stranded on the side of the road during a 9 hour car ride. She was stuck overnight. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

2022-08-09Garbage!!! Left my family broke down and offered zero help . When a a company leaves kids and a mother stranded for hours and no help even the next day is horrible for anyone at all , I would never recommend this place ever
