I reserved an SUV 3-4 days in advance for that Friday of that week. When I called that Friday, I asked if I could pick the car up earlier than 4 oclock which was the time reserved. The lady told me that would be no problem. When I called back an hour later to get the insurance information to fax it over, she said by the way , we dont have an SUV . We have a minivan or a car available. I told them I reserved an SUV and I want an SUV. They also told me they only accept major credit cards for SUVs (something they didnt inform me of ahead of time ). I went round and round about this for about an hour that I reserved an SUV days ahead of time. They told me it would be ready by 3:30. This was now 4:30 and still no SUV . She told me twice she would see what she could do, but the first time I called back..still no SUV . Again I reserved an SUV days ago. The second time she said she had somebody drivign to Mentor to get an SUV for me . This was 5:30 ...I was told the SUV I reserved days ago would be ready by 3:30 pm. this is two hours later. ANd they let me pay for the vehicle with my debit mastercard. Imagine that . I was lied to twice. First saying the vehicle would be ready by 3:30 , then when they said that I could only pay with a credit card. Then I was able to pay with my debit mastercard. I know I was told this because they gave the vehicle to somebody else and was trying everything they could to beat around the bush and not lend me the vehicle I wanted. Well, they had to go to Mentor and they didnt like that. oh well. not a very pleasant experience at all. I shouldnt have had to ask for the discount that I did . Nobody ever even apologized to me either.
Halfway through trip had a mechanical issue with vehicle. I followed instructions to call their roadside. Had to wait 4.5 hours for them to bring a vehicle that wasn’t big enough to bring my luggage back. I went to the local store to be told I would need to drive the vehicle that was deemed not safe to drive almost 200 miles if I wanted a vehicle that would hold lol my luggage. Very disappointed and had to pay to ship luggage back which cost me almost $270.
I dont see how these other people wrote negative reviews ??? My experience was great! Customer service couldnt be better! The guys/ girls there were very helpful. When I 1st left there light flashed low tire pressure took it back and they changed the tire no probs :) Car ran perfectly. I left my handicapped sign in the rental and called to see if they found it. They looked till they did find it!
You cannot park your personal vehicle on site. I was taking a long trip and wanted no worries, if the car had a problem it would just be replaced and on my way. They offered to pick me up at my home but that would add two hours on my trip. Pickup is a good service if you need it but I was on-site. I drove my personal vehicle. They need to be easier to do business, spend money, with.
My tental was last min due to an accident. They were GREAT! Got me right in and on my way without a headache! Drop off was easy and fast love the new manager, she was very nice and seemed in top of everything! I have been frustrated with my experience in the past but this time the while store seemed to have a different energy there and it was great! Thanks for making a crappy situation so easy!
I reserved an intermediate SUV online, a couple weeks in advance, and was surprised to get a free upgrade to a very nice VW Atlas. It was great having the extra room on a long trip. The associates were super nice and friendly. The whole process was so easy, I left feeling like I was missing something. haha Thanks, guys! Ill be back, and Ill recommend you to friends.
I live over two hours away and my car broke down, so I did not have much choice. I was quoted $35 on the phone, but when I got to the office it turned into $80! I know how car rental agencies are with insurance now, so this was surprising but not totally unexpected. What made me stomping mad is that I left my cell phone in the car when I returned it, and was told they could mail it to me. I even gave them a credit card number. When I called after 1 week, I was given vague details...it was mailed to me, but not sure when...she knows they did not charge my card or put a tracker on it...but no info about how it was sent, on what day, or who sent it. REALLY? Just tell me if you were not going to sent it, I would have made arrangements to come back up there! I feel lied to! The phone was cheap, but I had important info on it. Very shabby customer service!!!!
Exemplary! Enterprise went above and beyond to meet our needs. They made sure to have a car specifically to meet our special requests and then changed the car rental back to a smaller car when we no longer needed the larger vehicle. They were fast and courteous at all times. Thank you so much!!
When I arrived to pick up my rental car, I was informed at that time that I needed a utility bill because I was using my MasterCard debit card. The people who were there, admitted that they failed to call me the day prior to verify my reservation. I had to call corporate office to get things resolved. Do not use Ashtabula branch if you are looking for good customer service without headaches!!
I have been a very loyal Enterprise customer, since I got my drivers license. I am 50 years old now, so my first Enterprise car rental was a long time ago. My car broke down and I decided rather than replace it I would just rent a car on the weekends, that is the only time that I really need one. I made my reservation online. They called me right away and told that they would have a car for me in a few hours. They called me back a few hours later, and told me that they had one, and they were going to pick me up soon. They told me that I would need a pay stub, and a bill with my name on it. I asked them if my final Geico car Insurance bill, would be fine and they said that it would be. I went in and they looked at the bill, and said this bill says the policy has been canceled. I told them yes, I no longer have the car, the $30. thats due I paid that online. Then they said we can not use this bill, because you did not pay it, if you did not pay it, you will not pay us. I then told them again that I had paid the bill online, I no longer had the car, I had canceled the policy myself. They all but called me a liar, they again said that they thought that I would take the car and not pay for it. I said to them well you take the money up front right? You are going to get paid, you take the $300.00 out of my account, and the refund the used amount right? What they said next just lost me as customer to Enterprise, “that $300.00 runs out real fast when you do not bring it back”. I said to them I have been renting cars from Enterprise since you were in diapers, and I have never even brought one back late. I very careful with my rentals, I make sure that theres more then enough gas in it, I clean and vacuum them out before I bring them back, I have never even put a scratch on one. They said to me, “We do not care about what you rented from us in the past, people change as they get old, you might not bring it back, so we can not rent you a car”. I was shocked at the way I was treated, they were so rude. I think that Enterprise should look at and take into account my history of good rentals with Enterprise, I have never even been late. To have them say you are not going to bring it back was just embarrassing, and humiliating. I have worked in customer service most of working life, and I would never treat a customer, like I was treated, today. I even called them back and asked if I could print out and bring in my September wireless bill, no they said we want the October bill, I told the that I did not see that on the web site yet, and the was not due until the 12, they would not take that, then I told them I do all of my banking online, could I print out the September Statement? No that was not good enough either. They had already made up their minds to not rent it to me, so I gave up. I will not be coming back, so they do not have worry about me taking the car, and I guess running away with it.
Horrible!!! i danced around for 2 days to get a car my husband was told they would have someone at the store until 12:45 and they stopped answering they phone @ noon and when my husband went at 12:20 all the lights were off and the car i wanted for rent was sitting outside! i was told they were going to call when the car got there! very upset!!!!! for a place that takes its customer service so seriously it doesnt seem like it! especially since this is the second time it has been nothing but headaches with this office!!! I WISH IT WAS A NICE EDIT BUT DEAR CHRIS M I DID SEND THE EMAIL YOU ASKED FOR AND HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT HEADACHES WITH THEM AS WELL!!!!! Ive been told that this location has unlimited mileage. Then told it doesnt. I have tried calling to clarify but no one answers the phone. I am an Emerald Club member, but I will just rent a car from Avis at the Erie Airport. Its quicker than waiting for them to answer the phone.
I got a call from enterprise today and said I had to have a major credit card first of all it is my first time renting a car and didn’t know I had to have a credit card to begin with I will not ever rent from them you need to state that on the website instead of misleading people I’m try to get home seeing as I’m not from Ohio!
Great service picked up vehicle in Ashtabula Ohio on Saturday and noticed noise in rear didnt want to chance it out of State but they closed at noon and I had to drive to Cleveland and make a swap for another van late Saturday we were leaving early Sunday I was tired but it worked out ok.

2022-06-07On the way to a funeral and could have really used any sort of reliable service.Booked a car days in advance, got there and there was nothing for us. We were told that there were even people from yesterday waiting for a car. This did not make us feel better. If there wasn’t any cars available we should have been contacted yesterday so we could make any plans. We were turned away in our funeral clothes and given nothing.My husband called costumer service as we waiting in the parking lot and they forwarded them to corporate, no solutions, we’re just expecting a call back. Even online chat service was not helpful, they gave us solutions that did not exist.The support when we got there was ‘we rely on people to return the cars on time’. This isn’t a good enough excuse — if you sell a service, you need to problem solve these issues so you can deliver the services. No blame on the person at the front desk, the whole operation and enterprise is to blame.Incredibly upset—we didn’t need this on a day that is supposed to be reserved for family and grieving.

2020-10-16I had an excellent experience with Enterprise. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They provided me with pickup and drop-off service. I got a Nissan Sentra car. It was very clean and well maintained. Overall it was just a wonderful experience.

2020-08-20Not bad considering it was a last minute rental. Wanted a small/med car but all they had available was a minivan for double the price. Ended up with it an extra 3 days ($300) because they didnt do pick ups or returns on weekends. So, although I only needed it Monday - Saturday, I ended up having to do Friday thru Monday, paying for the Saturday/Sunday and then the next Sunday when I didnt even need it... Guess it was better than the last time when I made a reservation online just to be called a few hours before I was scheduled to pick the vehicle up and told they had nothing available... Definitely not my first choice in rentals but theyre local and if youre lucky enough for them not to cancel the reservation, the vehicles are nice.
