They have a large selection and the staff is super nice. Even though there are tons of books, they are organized and sectioned. I highly recommend Encore Books to any book lover!
I was referred to this book store by my therapist through the VA & Im so happy she told me about it!! I love this store, so many books to choose from, all rooms are full, top to bottom, its a book worms Heaven!! Youre surely to find something of interest...
Being an avid reader Ive precious little space to keep the books Ive read. My solution has always been to donate boxes of them to Encore. The staff are very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. I cant seem to just turn around and walk away. Theres inevitably that gem that Ive been searching for in stock And at a fantastic price due to my previous credits.Do yourself a favor and experience Encore Books multiple room spaces, subjects and amiable personnel. Without a doubt my choice for The community bookseller in the area.
This used bookstore has a huge selection of books, but because of the quantity of books, it seems to be a bit disorganized. Its perfect if you are just browsing for nothing really in particular, but if youre looking for something specific, you may have a hard time finding it. I did see one vintage cookbook I would have been interested in (I collect cookbooks), but it was marked Not for sale. It seemed a little odd to me to have a book in a bookstore that isnt for sale.
I went in to give credits for books I had. This was the second time I’ve done this and the first time no one explained the process behind this. Today the owner applied my credits to the books my mom purchased without asking. She wasn’t very happy about having to fix it when my mom demanded she fix it because those were not her credits. When I asked how the credits are given based on the books I brought in, the worker who gave me the credits got *very* defensive about why I earned the credits I got. I had 5 books that were in brand new condition. I earned half a credit for each book. I left feeling absolutely taken advantage of. Had this been explained the first time I had taken in books or even before I handed over the books today I would have taken them elsewhere. The owner was also very defensive about the fact that every credit is 50% off a book. That’s fine but I’m giving you books for free basically and you are making a living off my donation. Don’t get defensive when I ask a simple question on how this works. I’ll be spending those credits as fast as I can and I will not be back.
Great book store. Large stock of interesting items. I take my mom for the romance stories. They gave me a military discount too. Highly recommended! !
Decided to check this place out because I was looking for a book for my wife. I was extremely pleased! This store has tons of books! Its overwhelming how many books they have. It was clean and the employees for very helpful. Definitely recommend it.
The staff is very helpful, but there is a maze of books setting on floors....they need to simplify and weed out so many books! I like to find my own books and think it lacks organization, nor do I feel comfortable doing that as they hover.

Well organized. They save any pictures, newspaper articles, etc found in books & put in albums for people to view & retrieve, if yours. Very nice.
I went into looking for books, the lady that was helping me took a (what sounded like a personal phone call) and went into a corner and sat in a chair; instead of finishing up with me. I laid my books on a shelf and walked out for the last time.

2022-08-06My wife and I would live in Encore Books if we could! My family loves books in general, but there is just something... mysterious about little used book shops. It is as though all of the feelings represented in the present volumes faintly resonate through the smallish place. Encore Books especially. Tucked away in a delightfully odd spot, visiting feels more like relaxing at your grandmothers house than shopping for books. While you may lose track of time if you visit, we do not think youll be disappointed.

2022-07-05First time being here, it was overwhelming of books everywhere, on the floor, double stack on bookcase. But if you enjoy books like I do, then this place is like heaven. I could have been in there for hours searching for books. I did leave w 13books! And will be back for more.. I could have got more but the books I had were getting heavy!!

2022-01-16Books everywhere in the floor. Almost tripped several times. Also, I couldnt find prices on the books. Im not going to grab a bunch and then find out the cost. Please clean up and price the books for your customers. It would be a nice store if it was like that.

2021-10-25Hands down, the best used book store in the area that I have been to so far. Ive been wanting to stop in this place for a while, just finally had the chance. They were having a sidewalk sale where everything was 25¢ or less outside. When I walked in, I realized I was in any book lovers paradise. Literally floor to ceiling books. The store needs a bigger space however, as there is not enough room to house all the books like Im sure they want. There are tons of rooms and the place is bigger than you think honestly. I wished I couldve stayed longer to browse. The lady that was working was very friendly and helpful and knew where everything was if I couldnt find it. Also, they do have a book buy-back type of rewards program that I still have to look into more, but sounds great! I will 100% be back there as soon as I can.

2021-10-13I love coming here! I always have a list of books/authors to shop for. Organized by genre and author, lots of floor to ceiling shelves. I always come away with a bag full. Reasonably priced (last purchase was 22 books for $86). Staff and owner are friendly!

2020-12-09Wonderful store!! The staff is always very helpful and friendly. Ive purchased several books over the last few years. Today I took several books in and got a yellow card of credits!!! My mother-in-law is 90 & loves to read. Her memory isnt what it used to be so were not comfortable getting library books. Encore has such an amazing selection and very affordable pricing. The credits allowed us to purchase 11 books for $38 (half the price that its marked--bought large paperbacks @ $3). So happy to support a local business. Highly recommend!

2019-12-05I travel a lot to all corners of the country. This is my all time favorite bookstore. When Im anywhere nearby I will go out of my way to stop in. If I know Im going to be in the area, Ill bring along any duplicate copies Ive accidentally picked up to take advantage of their generous trade-in policy. Ive never left without a good sized box of mystery novels, thrillers, or action-adventure books and very reasonable prices and in great condition. Highly recommended.

2019-03-03Theres A LOT to look through, and Im certain most people will be able to find a stack of books suited to their taste. It is hard to look through all of the stacks sometimes and find what you want if youre looking for something specific. But, the thrill of the hunt is sometimes exciting, too. The books are basically half off their new retail price, so its better than outright buying new books if you dont mind that your purchase might show a little love from a previous owner. Everything they have is in good condition, and you are often able to find complete series. I highly recommend giving this store a try!

2019-08-30Theres hardly any space in this magnificent shop that is not filled with books...seems almost like sensory overload at first, but it is more organized than your first glance may tell you...its the sheer volume of every type/genre/format that is impressive. If you love reading and books, you will be happy here. Helpful staff, too..they tracked down a couple of obscure titles and made my day!+5, will return again and again.
