When they realized I wanted a certain car, they made some excuses to increase the price of the car so id have to pay a bigger down payment. Ill go somewhere else and deal with professionals.
Beware. My boyfriend bought a car from here less than a month ago and now his car won’t start. There is something seriously wrong with the ignition. And now has a loan for a car that doesn’t work and has to invest a lot of money to get it fixed if it’s even worth it.

Every time I have visited Empire motors. The customer service is exceptional. As an older female, I want an honest opinion about the car Im considering. I get that honesty with Mr V(salesman). I purchased a Lexus from him two years ago( Cherry Cola Red). It still drives great. Now I am considering a car for my Grandson to drive back and forth to College. And I know I can count on Mr V and Mr Ivan to give me the best deal.
Ivan couldn’t have been less interested in pursuing the sale. He was rude and distracted the entire time. He seems to have no stake in the business.When I asked him about vehicle maintenance, he defiantly said, “Nope. None.” Okay, then.I then asked him if he could send pictures of the many dents he claimed the car had. Seeming bored and annoyed, he responded, “They are on the website.”News flash, Ivan. I can see that. It’s clear that I meant I wanted close-ups to determine the extent. And, these days, it’s not hard to snap pics. See, I’m not a salesperson, but I am working with a brain stem: if cars are flying off the shelf, I would understand being lazy about the sale. The car I was looking at has been sitting for a long time, so, I’d prob be a bit less lazy

Found a 2011 Ford Expedition on their site. Ad stated that it needed a timing chain. They even told me I needed one when I went to test drive it, in case I had not saw it in the ad. Flash forward to two weeks after purchasing it, the Ford dealership and a separate independent service center both say it needs a new engine. They say the damage to engine cannot be repaired and anyone who had checked it out knew that. Believe all of these real negative reviews. There is nothing good about this place at all. If you are thinking about getting a car from here, walk or take the bus until you can afford to go else where.

I took some time to visit this location on August 23rd and the experience, while short, was very professional and friendly. I had come to check out a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse Ive had my eye on, and when I visited I found that those working at this dealership had been running some maintenance on that car. Despite this, the man who greeted me at the front desk allowed me to enter their shop and take a look at the car, explained the work they were doing to it, and offered me good advice on how I should go about caring for this car if I were to purchase it. This is a place you should consider when buying a vehicle of your own.
Ive bought a lot of cars and this purchase has been the most pain-free. Very consultative yet laid back approach. Not once have I felt pressured and everything was done to make the purchase as smooth as possible. Id recommend Ivan & Vadim at Empire to anyone looking for a used car in the area.
This is an excellent used car dealer. I was very happy with the supply of used minivans and settled on a 2008 Honda Odyssey. Vince told me anything I needed to know about my car and was very pleasant and easy to work with. I found he was honest and the car performed beautifully on the test drive. He gave me plenty of time to test drive it so I could see how it ran on surface streets and the freeway. I purchased the car and two days later drove to Virginia and back. The car ran like a top! This is a great place to buy a used car and the people are great!
Update: Recently we have found out this car has three accidents history including one major. But the dealer completely lied about it. We wouldn’t even pay half of the price If we knew.We got cheated by this dealer. Bought a Nissan ultima 2015 a few weeks ago. Car looked good in every aspect, low mileages. After driving couple of days tires had to replaced and later another battery had to replaced. Was told car was all clean without any issues. Very disappointing.
The people that were there were nice and as helpful as they could be but the main guy never showed or answered their texts so I decided I wasnt going to buy.

Bought my first car from them. It had low mileage and a great price! The employees were very nice and helpful, not pushy or anything. The buying process was smooth. The car did need a few minor things replaced, like windshield wipers, but overall its very nice and Im happy with my car.

Horrible sales experience. Staff knew nothing, didnt seem to care whether or not they sold any cars (probably a front) then when I purchased a car it broke down badly within weeks. I tried to discuss this issue with the staff, but they became defensive, combative, and downright rude. While I was at the dealership another customer pulled in with the same story. These cars break down as soon as you drive them off the lot.
Service was great. Process was easy. They said they’d fix what was wrong with the car before I got it and they did. My new car runs like a dream and I got it at a great price too. Definitely worth a visit if you’re shopping around for a both cheap and good used car.
I have not used empire motors services but the people working here are great people. Andrew and his employees helped me out of the snow when my van was stuck no questions ask.
I am very happy with my purchase at Empire Motors. Ivan made the car buying process easy. They got me hooked up with a finance company that was able to get me in the car I wanted for close to the monthly payment I preferred. The whole process was efficient, and will remember to look at Empire Motors in my future car buying adventures.
Was sold a 2008 Honda Accord on their lot. Upon inspection, asked questions about service history. Seller said no problems, however took to a full service garage to get a free inspection. Was told there was an exhaust leak, transmission leak, hole in the muffler (which was the least of my worries!). Tires were deceiving. Treads looked fine however hidden underneath the depths of deception, was rim leaks on 3/4 tires. Trash! Couple weeks later was burning through oil like an alcoholic on white claws! They wouldn’t let us look under the hood, and after inspection also found a tear in the air intake tube. Unacceptable. Was sold as is, so was responsible for all repairs upon purchase. 4 months later, the engine blew on us. Something is terribly wrong with this business. “Nothing should go wrong with this car.” Yeah, say that to our $2,200 quote on a rebuilt engine. Do not purchase even a wiper blade from this establishment. I came here almost a year ago to buy an older Jeep Wrangler from Ivan. It was a 5+ hour drive for me. Overall, Ive been quite happy with my Jeep for the last year. However, had I written this review shortly after purchasing, it would have been a solid 2.5-3 stars.To preface, I had been looking to add a cheap and versatile second vehicle to the family. All other Jeeps at this price point were junk, Ivans was definitely a steal. I asked a lot of questions, particularly regarding the condition of the frame. Ivan responded there was no rust. I asked for a video of it running and got a very low quality (flip phone quality) walk around, but decided it was worth checking out regardless. I sent a holding deposit.Upon arriving, it became very clear there was plenty of rust on the jeep. Noted. It also needed jumped, but I was reassured the battery was brand new. Noted. I test drove it, poked around the features I knew this trim level was supposed to have and discovered a feature not engaging properly. After test driving, I noted that since this feature was advertised, I wanted it fixed. I argued with the mechanic over there being two axles that needed serviced and not just one, then left so the repair could be completed. We came back hours later and I asked the mechanic if he had serviced both axles. Theres only one, the front. To which I responded, No, I told you both. Front and rear. In response he walked away, muttering beneath his breath and that was that.Moving on to the deal, I brought up the rust, which Ivan brushed aside as it being the Midwest and being an older vehicle. No acknowledgement of the fib. I also brought up the repairs not being entirely completed, but at this point I just wanted to go home (again, 5 hour drive) and would wave that. He seemed relatively apolgetic that we spent all day there with a long drive ahead. There was no negotiation on price and I would have to agree with another reviewer, he doesnt seem too interested in selling a car. Nonetheless, I wasnt going to find a Jeep quite like this again and my wife convinced me to bite. It came with one of those dealer warranties, you know, the one that doesnt really cover the stuff you need it to but I guess its there for peace of mind so I was thankful.I kick myself for not being thorough enough (partially blame the chaos of the day), but I believe the non-functioning headlight and seized caliper were known issues they decided not to address the day I purchased. Or perhaps they didnt inspect the vehicle too well either, Im not sure which option I prefer. Both issues were resolved shortly after I got home for a bill of approx. $600. I personally performed a tune up, the oil and spark plugs were disgusting and clearly hadnt been touched in some time. The radio did not work when I purchased it, but was a simple fix and only needed a new fuse. It also started giving me trouble starting shortly after, come to find out the battery was toast and I needed a new one. Ive done many repairs since, new filters, valve cover gasket, fluids, shocks, exhaust, etc.. some of which you can chalk up to age, but not all.All that said, I am still happy with my Jeep and believe Im still on the upside on my investment, but it also fits my lifestyle and was a dream of mine. You may not feel the same way after $3k in repairs on a Honda civic you got just to get by till you can get your brand new dream car. Unless youre mechanically inclined, have driven the vehicle you plan to purchase and know how it should ride and sound, or just dont care, I suggest taking it to Meineke or another similar place for a free pre purchase inspection. Im not quite sure how to express my final thought, I think the cars are overall good quality.. but I suspect these are auction cars being purchased for a quick and easy flip, they didnt know much about my Jeep for example.. hence why there may be little things wrong and a lack of transparency regarding the true condition of the vehicle and its history. So be smart, but I dont believe Ivan would sell you a lemon.

Be aware! Ivan wont share car history and when I asked him if the car had any issues or accidents, he lied and said the car has a clean title though I was asking him if it had any accidents. I told him I buy, test drive cars and sell cars every 6 months and then try other models for a living. He didnt care and its also my fault to not pay for the carfox as he wasnt willing to. He sold me a car that he fixed at his own dealer and then lied to me. Its a learning experience for me and a loss for the crook. I have my eyes on him and have him surveyed by mystery shoppers while I have found a great small dealer who has a very honesty policy.

I dont know about the people who claim the good reviews are fake but I assure you I AM REAL. We saw a listing for a 2006 Honda Accord with low mileage at a great price. It was in an accident and has a rebuilt title. But they were honest and very nice to us and knocked the price down a bit for us. The car is in great shape mechanically and Im looking forward to putting a lot of miles on my new car.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU BUY YOUR VEHICLE ELSEWHERE. They are HACKS. I bought a bmw 2 weeks ago. They didn’t top off or change any fluids. Literally not even the windshield wiper fluid. They didn’t detail the interior. The car was in transport mode with one of the main sensors disconnected. The ibs sensor ( Intelligent Battery Sensor). When I plug the sensor in the car won’t start. The sensor is over 200 bucks. Bad battery because the sensor was unplugged. Another $200. The whole passenger side headlight assembly fried by water damage. At least 500 for a xenon adaptive headlight. It’s on the way. I replaced the alternator pulley, serpentine belt, tensioner pulley, oil/filter change, voltage regulator for the alternator. That’s not all either I seriously have a stack of receipts. How you let a customer leave your lot knowing about all these problems is beyond me. Empire Motors is trash and I highly recommend you buy your vehicles else where. Thank god I can fix these problems myself or else I would be spending more than I paid for the car. They literally don’t even service their vehicles. I’m glad I didn’t get the warranty they would of made my problems worse.
I’ve been meaning to leave a review for a month now. This place was amazing! I bought a 2008 Honda Civic The band in the motor had a slight tear and they replaced it, the ac wasn’t working properly and they fixed it. Over all an amazing experience! I highly recommend!

We purchased a Cadillac XTS found through Cargurus from this company. I have purchased 7 Cadillacs in my life and the one we purchased from Empire Motors was the worst experience ever. By the time I got the car home we found the struts were shot and the CUE was not working. I asked for help with these costs and was completely ignored. We live in North Dakota and we asked for a different car to remedy the situation. We made a tentative deal on another vehicle and I drove back to Lansing. When I test drove the vehicle the engine derated and I took it back and they found a sensor that was bad and would have taken 2 days to fix. I had no choice but to take the POS Cad back to ND. No help whatsoever from Empire Motors. I tried several times to ask for help fixing the problems and never got a return call or email. I would be very cautious of purchasing any thing from this company.
Great service, great cars and great prices. They were able to get me financed and into a great Toyota Highlander that is great for my family. I can’t thank them enough. Any car I by from now on I’m checking their inventory first.
I will never recommend this car lot to anyone. I went to go test drive a car, and as soon as it left the lot it started having problems. I got about 100 feet, and the AWS light came on , and the car started vibrating. I went to turn around and as I was about the turn left the car completely turned off , started rolling forward into the street and I had no control. Luckily no cars were coming, and I was able to put it in neutral and push the car back into the lot I was turning around in before more cars started coming. If cars were coming when the car was rolling, I most likely wouldve been hit because they wouldnt have known I had no control. This bad situation could have been a lot worse, I got lucky I wasnt injured. They did not rectify the situation either, If anyone I know ever says they are interested in a car here I will tell them to stay away.

Bought a jeep for my fiance just the other day. Everyone was very friendly and the process was pretty quick and easy compared to a few places Ive gone through in the past. They went out of their way to make sure 2 small rust spots on fenders were fixed before I picked it up. Had great attention to detail. Will definitely stop back up when Im ready to buy another.

Do not Trust them. At least make sure you bring Mechanic with you or you’re able to take it to a mechanic on a test drive. I swear the mechanics there don’t know what they’re doing. I’ve had the car for about three weeks now and it’s one problem after the other. And if you try to talk to them about it, the owner will yell at you and make you feel about 2 inches tall. Go somewhere else don’t give them your money.

With 2 teenaged daughters , I am no stranger to shopping for a pre-owned car. I have dealt with at least a dozen dealerships and was quite tired of the stereotypical used car dealer sales pitches. Then I went to Empire Motors. Ivan was such a welcome change. I told him my price range and he gave me a variety of options, describing their features without trying to oversell. He didn’t push the more expensive cars, nor did he exceed my price limit in an attempt to convince me to go ‘just a little bit higher’, as every other salesperson did. My daughter ended up with a great Jetta at a price below the blue book value, and we couldn’t be happier.

Stay away!!!very bad experience! I asked simple question, but no one could give me straight answer! I sent many emails, telling that i am coming from out of state. Finally i got email from Ivan (sales person), who said that this vehicle had only cosmetic and minors repairs. Than i asked my friends to help me and it turns that it was totaled! They selling junk! I was interested in a few cars here. I set up three separate appointments to view the vehicles and they just dont show up, even with a warning you are in route and verifying with them. Hopefully this unprofessionalism comes down to the virus,but to not show up to appointments you set even when they customer verifies in advance before they leave is just bad business.If they cant keep their word on an appointment, how can we be sure about their word on vehicle safety, history, or maintenance?

I know this is minor, but customer service is everything. Called to confirm availability of a vehicle, quick simple conversation. Salesman was very rude, and as soon as he found out the vehicle I was interested in was sold he hung up. If your that rude and I havent even set foot on the lot? Screw it, put these guys on the no business list.
They havent any flexibility in price yet refuses to service faulty vehicles. Whereat,they should be serviced or compensation made. In this light u dont get the same for a faulty vehicle as a non faulty one. People arent 2b taken for fools,as the likes hereof leave one feeling.
Definitely these are fake comments, so save your self time and money. Never think about dealing with this dealership. I have visited a lot, but this one got the worst car ever. Basically, I asked him to provide me with an official Carfax for the car, he refused stating that they do not use it! He asked me either to buy it or leave! They want to take your money ONLY!!
I bought a 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid on Wednesday. They were very professional, easy to work. I wanted to surprise my wife with this vehicle so I went up alone and they let me leave my old vehicle there till I was able to pick it up. Very nice and absolutely no pressure. Will definitely go there first the next time I need a vehicle. Looks small from the road but there are a lot of cars back there once you pull in.

If you want to get a good car for your money this is a place to go. I wanted a dependable daily driver and Ivan went out of his way, honestly explained all of the prose and cones of few cars that i was interested in. One of mine concerns was the rust, and every car that i test droved had a pretty clean under body. Documents processing took a little bit more time then i expected but its because i decided to finance a portion of my car. Very nice place. Thank you

Scheduled a test drive personally with the owner of the place only to be left countless amounts of time without be contacting back, to then arrive to the scheduled test drive to find out that they were gone. Not only did this happen but the vehicle I was looking to test drive was being used at the time to HAUL other used cars for their business instead of being in the lot for the test drive. I was not made aware they were using this truck for hauling other vehicles and they also lied about the mileage by 20,000+ miles. After expressing my frustration, the owner just apologized for the inconvenience. However did not own up to their poor professionalism, not only did I waste gas and time, but also an opportunity to test drive other vehicles elsewhere. Do not go here.
Bought a honda civic here. Car needed some tlc but it starts everytime and got it at a good price. Family owned business, everybody here was pleasant. Will come back in the future.
I have purchased a 2011 toyota Corolla from them 1 yr ago and it was awesome. They are very good, friendly and help you out, and they have very good cars as per the prices. They have all kinds of used cars and are very cost effective. They will help you out of the way. Great shop and great people there. And my car is running awesome.

Very friendly people. Got a good deal on a really nice car. They were very firm on asking price, but it was priced well under KBB and NADA fair market value and included rear rotor replacement. Had to pay $60 for a Serpentine belt replacement, but its cheaper for them to do it rather than take it anywhere else. Also needed an oil change right away

Buyer beware. This is a shady place to buy a car. My experience: I found a Volkswagen CC I liked on their lot .. drove it to my mechanic to have him look for any issues. He didnt. I remember him popping the trunk and telling me he was surprised it still had the lug bolt cap removing tool. Said they get lost easily. Was advised it needed tires. Mechanic laughed saying the person that previously owned the car probably never had to parallel park because the rims were perfect.Ivan promised a set of brand-new tires for the car. Great! About a week later I had to change a tire. The Removing tool was gone. Finally took the car back to Ivan to have the new tires put on. Brought up the missing tool to his mechanic which caused him to have a meltdown and I thought I was going to be physically assaulted. I walked away. Im waiting on my car to have the tires put on and I hear the banging noise didnt think anything of it. A couple days later I wash my car I noticed one of the rooms had been repeatedly hit hard with a hammer ruining one of the rims. At this point Im pretty angry. I look closer 10 of the 20 plastic caps for the lug bolts have been broken and the new set of tires were mismatch tires. Furious at this point. I sent Ivan a text message letting him know these things and ask him how he was going to fix the problem got no reply.. called got no call back.
Avoid this place, Bought a used truck from there 180k miles, test drove it, ran fine made the deal on the way home check engine came on, started shifting weird, took it to a shop, needs O2 sensor, speed shaft sensor, needs a transmission needs a radiator, pretty much 4000 to get this truck to where it needs be, called they said they would help me out, called 2 days in a row and got told call back tomorrow still nothing.
I checked the title history but Empire did not offer the CarFax report that almost all other dealers will provide. Two weeks after purchase I had to replace both power steering hoses and a month later a resonator. Also the repair shop noted that at one time the car had r/f damage due to the fender gap and the way the headlight had been positioned. Other than that the car is fine...just out more money. In the future I will not deal with any lot that cannot offer a CarFax report.

Sketchy sketchy place! I went to go get myself a car, I am 18 and in college, I don’t have a credit at all. I went up to the place to look at the car I liked and on the website it said bad credit no credit no problem so I was like sweet! But when I got there the first question he asked me was what’s your credit score? I responded with what I saw on the website and he told me “uhhh I don’t deal with the website you will have to talk to our finance guy.” So he calls him and they start speaking a totally different language. I came back up later with my mom and I asked Ivan I wanted to look at the car. He gave me the keys and walked away... yes he walked away, he didn’t even come up to the car to tell me about it, didn’t offer a test drive. So I went to give him back the keys so I could leave because I didn’t like all of this, he tried to throw us in the finance room to buy the car. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! BE CAREFUL
There are a lot of fake reviews for this company. I went to their old location an it was in a very sketchy area. The dealers were unprofessional and the car I went to look at was buried in with a bunch of other wrecked cars. The car looked great online with professional looking pictures, but the dealership is sketchy. The car itself looked much much worse in real life and had tons of issues. Avoid this business at all costs.
Ivan helped me find the perfect car for my needs. 2004 Honda Civic, perfect car for getting to and from work and school. Staff was very helpful. The 3 month warranty is also a good deal.
So here it goes! After 6 months of looking for a car all over Cleveland and me having a super bad credit score due a resent divorce and bankruptcy on my record I finally came to Empire! The question is why I didnt go there before and wasted all this time on the web and other places.. With very little money down I got a very nice Toyota, had great experience and a hot cup of gourmet coffee with a sales man who ended up actually being an owner (Ivan) very nice and professional young man! I recommend this place 100% if youre in a market for a pre-owned car! Max loves it so will you!

Starting out, the first test drive the vehicle was under E for gas which was their sceme to not have me drive the car for long so the check engine light they reset wouldnt come up on the dash during the test drive.And then after purchasing the car Ivan took over 30 days to send the title out and let the out of state temporary tag go out on my newly purchased vehicle not to mention they charged me 200 for a notary service that shouldnt even be charged in the first place. And then after a 3-4 weeks of owning the vehicle it needed brakes all the way around, struts, headgaskets, exhaust system from the headers back. Worst car experience do not trust people

Went to test drive a vehicle, when I turned it on to drive it there was hardly any gas in the tank and the dashboard gas light was on, so I couldnt even drive it very far without worrying about getting stranded. Thought I was getting a good deal on the car... so I went ahead and purchased it (plus I saw the previous reviews and felt confident that I was working with an honest and helpful dealer) but when I filled up the tank and parked in my garage over night, the next morning there was gas all over the garage floor. Had it looked at by a mechanic, found out the gas tank was leaking and that the fuel pump and brackets were all corroded and needed replaced. Called Ivan to tell him immediately and he said that he was going to an auction the next day and that he would look for a tank and have it replaced for me. I felt satisfied and that he was going to make it right. It has been over 2 months and I have heard nothing from him. He never answered my calls after that, never returned voice messages or text messages.Be careful!

Wasnt here very long salesman was ignorant and didnt seem to want to help me because of my age and it was raining. Told me it was raining and said I could go look at it if I wanted but he wasnt going outside unless it was to make a sale looked at said vehicle and he couldnt get it out for me to test drive because he was the only one there. Told him I wanted to tested the vehicle but since you cant get it out right now Im gonna go feed my kids and Ill be back in an hour or so I go back and the van I wanted to drive was gone. He sold it while I was feeding my kids and him knowing Id be back to test drive the vehicle. Thats the last time Ill go there.

Crook..sold me a car that he knew was bad i got to use for a whole 4 months and didnt even drive the vehicle like that it was meant to be a second car for my 1st car. He acted like him finding parts was fixing the problem and then offering to fix at my expense was fixing the problem. There were signs and i guess i should of pieced them together and i didnt. Run away as fast as you can, he is overpriced at that.

2022-02-18We had an excellent experience at Empire Motors. We purchased a Ford Fusion for my 16 year old son. Ivan was quick to respond and very accommodating to our schedule. They fixed very minor issues and went above and beyond and replaced all the brakes and rotors for my son to have a safe vehicle to drive on the road. Very professional and even brought umbrellas to us in the rain. I would definitely recommend and would return as a customer again in the future! Thank you Empire!

2022-06-28Ivan, V and all the staff at Empire are polite, professional, and helpful. They do not pressure you at all throughout the process. We bought my wifes Mazda Tribute here in 2019 and enjoyed the process. So we returned when it was time to replace my car. I Love my new 2012 Ford Edge. It is clean, rust free and drives like a brand new car. They treat customers well and their prices are fair and reasonable. I heartily recommend them and will be back in a few years when it becomes time to replace the Mazda.

2022-05-10Working with Ivan and everyone else at Empire Motors was a breeze. They were super helpful and they were extremely patient with me even though I didnt have everything that I needed when I was trying to purchase a 2013 Fiat 500 Pop. They also resolved some vehicle issues I noticed before I even bought it. Ive been out and about driving the car for 2 plus weeks now with only one issue I didnt notice during my initial test drive. If I had noticed during my test drive, Im sure they would have resolved it before purchase. 5 stars, great service.

2022-06-02Just recently purchased a Ford F-150 from Ivan at Empire Motors. The truck was in better condition than I expected. Buying process was quick and painless. I was given an extremely fair trade in price as well.I had some issues with the braking system after a little while and called Ivan to see if I could take it up to his dealership to have it looked at. Ivan had me in the next day and took care of everything.I definitely recommend this dealership to anyone in the greater Cleveland area looking for a quality used car.
