We usually order a take out dinner about once a week and have never been disappointed. We have been doing this for the past 5 or 6 years now. The food is consistently great and the staff have always been polite and friendly.Cant recommend then enough. The fajitas chimichanga and burrito El Palomar are the go to menu items for our family.
This place is great, we eat here once a week. The only complaint we have is the heavier set hostess with the long straight blonde hair is always chewing gum and is kind of rude most of the time. Everyone else is great. The food is excellent. Very well priced as well. Only left unhappy once in maybe 100 visits.
My favorite Mexican restaurant. I recently traveled back to Ohio. I made a special effort to stop for a meal. Sorry I missed seeing the owner, he truly is a good host. The food is always hot and flavorful. Good selection of meals. Whenever I had need for clarification on a particular dish. They whomever was waiting on us was very kind and helpful.
This place has gone down hill. When they first opened it was wonderful, now it’s not so good. The food is greasy, you use to get a lot of shrimp now maybe 3-5 in those dishes. The margaritas use to be excellent now not so good.I won’t be back for awhile. First review recv’d 1 star ...2nd Review months later:Well I waited several months then gave them another chance. Food quality has gone back up to being great and the margaritas are much better now than before.Gave 5 stars this time.
Did anyone else get Covid after eating here? I did some digging and found out the whole staff tested positive for Covid and no one quarantined, they all went right back to work , it’s horrible that they have no consideration for anyone’s well being , they are making people sick
So I ordered cheese dip and it was almost cold. Im sorry but i feel as if cheese dip with nachos is supposed to be hot. Then I get to my meal...which wasnt the greatest. I had a burrito and some soft tacos. Boy did I get the short end of the stick. My burrito wasnt hot, warm at its best with steak that was like chewing gristle. My soft tacos were cold and had so much of what look like grease in the hamburger meat. All in all It was a bad experience. I would have gaven a 1 star but the salsa was the best thing I had to eat during my dinner.
Decent mexican cuisine for the area. Not much choice in Circleville so for what it is, its okay. The taco salad is mediocre but the place is clean and the employees are friendly.Small outdoor seating is available and parking is limited to the street. Located downtown Circleville.
Literally always amazing. The service is exactly what you would expect from a local restaurant, friendly and just fantastic. The food is amazing, from the chips and salsa to the entrees, its all deliciously made. My personal favorite is the #174 Burrito Loco, a massive burrito with steak, chicken, AND shrimp. Served with Mexican rice and refried beans, best Mexican food you can get in Circleville by far, maybe even the best food. Affordable too! Dinner for two usually around $30 before tips.
We dont even go in to sit down and eat anymore because 90% of the staff is so rude Id rather deal with one of the teenagers at a fast food drive thru in town. We had switched to just ordering carry out so we could still enjoy the food. That has proven to become a nightmare. Everytime we order carry out they act as though we are inconveniencing them. The past 2/3 times they have made things incorrectly or forgotten items out of our order. They charged us appetizer price for a side order of guacamole. We asked for a couple extra salsas for our chips, completely willing to pay extra, instead of extra we got one salsa for 3 orders of chips. Tonight we called again to place a carry out order, their hours clearly say 930 here on Google, well apparently they have begun closing at 830 according to the rude female that answered the phone. She is beyond rude Everytime we call. To the point that when she answers I will hang up until I get someone besides her, or ask for someone else. No apology for our disappointment that their hours are incorrect on here, just a well it says it on the door, with a rude tone. When I advised her they just lost customers she couldnt have cared less. You would think that losing customers that order and spend at least $50 once a week, and still tip for carry out, would have some sort of meaning to a business in a town like circleville. But thats fine, the food at the Mexican restaurant In Lancaster is much better, and they just inspired me to make the drove..... Keep it up el Palomar and you wont have a business.
Authentic Mexican food. Small dining area but not too small. Great pico and salsa with fresh cooked tortilla chips while food is being made fresh. Had the steak Texacana with roasted peppers. Would definitely order it again. Wife had chicken chimisand said they were excellent.
Ate there today found hair in my fajita. Ate thru just enough for one wrap and found it in second one I was making. Told our waiter who then asked for the hair to show cook. I pulled it out and put on floor so the other ppl eating wouldnt be grossed out. He charged me half for meal still but it made me sick to stomach .looked like facial hair.....or worse! A few months ago my bf and I ate there and there was a pop bottle cap in our bottle of salsa! Im done! Waiter acted like I made it up but been a customer since they opened. Looking g forward to the new Mexican ace opening up across the road now!
Poorly executed attempt at the bland style of Mexican food. No fresh elements, bland salsa, margarita was day-glow green and looked like it came out of an off the shelf premixed bottle from the grocery store. Fajitas are usually safe in an unknown place, and they were horribly overcooked, steak and chicken like leather, shrimp tasted old. We tried this restaurant soon after they opened, and tried it again last night due to the positive reviews. I would rather eat Taco Bell than return to this restaurant, and I have not had Taco Bell in over 20 years. Service was also poor, but the real issue was bad food.
El Palomar is totally legit! The waiters can actually speak English, they dont charge you for extra chips, food is always fast and delicious! I have ate here for years and never once had a bad experience! In fact I love it so much my family had a surprise birthday party here for me one time! I am a mexican food conessouir and my professional opinion is, You cant go wrong eating here!
Food isnt that good, doesnt seem fresh more like reheated food..guacamole was terrible looked like baby poop, was definitely premade not fresh...this is not even close to Mexican food its Tex-Mex foodStaff you csnt understand and they dont check on you , so your tip is #customer service gets u a better tip...These others customer reviews are ridiculous best around ---->taco bell is betterGreat wait staff ----> get better glasses ur blindFood just like in cali ----> wow now thats a lieIf this is good enough for you than your standards are welfare based imo
This is a really bad place to eat they have really bad service no good customer service the beverage that they give you the taste nasty I will not come in and eat anymore again for any reference if I could give half of a star I might give zero Stars they deserve no stars. At all

2022-04-07I’ve gone here multiple times the last few years and every single time I’ve loved it. The taquitos, enchiladas, tacos, everything. It’s always fresh, hot (trust me I’ve burnt my finger on the plate), and all the service people are really nice! It’s locally run so I really recommend going and helping out the local family.Every time I’ve been here has been great. Good service, good food, and everyone is very friendly. Really personally recommend the enchiladas ranchera. Those are really good. It was a great experience when I went just last week. Will totally come back.

2022-05-16My favorite spot in all of Circleville! Always have wonderful service with very little wait time after ordering my meal. I dont think I could complain if I tried to. The Pelusa Texana is my go to, would highly recommend this if you havent already tried it! Definitely should stop by this spot if you havent already been!

2022-04-15Our food was awful, the chicken was so thin, everything tasted salty and the portions were small.
