Everybody wants to know a mechanic that you can trust to be honest, fair and do great work. ECP is this place! I don’t even live in Cuyahoga Falls and I go out of my way to have my cars repaired here. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been sincere and professional. The quality of the work is outstanding. Highly recommend!
The service professionals at ECP were cheerful, and gave excellent explanations to me during my repair process. The work I needed done was not something I could have ever done myself. I am very pleased with the service at ECP.
Took my Honda Pilot in because my brakes were squeaking and for an overall check before taking it on vacation. They were very thorough and checked everything I asked them to check. Nate called me and let me know everything they did, everything it needed and everything it will need eventually but not quite yet. Very professional and very reasonable.
Worst customer service I’ve ever had to deal with. My thermostat housing had a leak in it. I told him I needed my thermostat housing changed and that’s it, he told me he would call me back in the morning with an estimate. He calls me in the morning and tells me it will be 575$ to fix my THERMOSTAT housing. A 35$ PART!! Not to mention it’s quickly accessible and can be changed out in 15 MINUTES. So I called a tow truck to pick my car up to take it to my usual mechanic. I got there and he said I owed him 80$ because he did a pressurized test and poured antifreeze into my leaking system (waste). I told him I wasn’t paying 80$ when I haven’t received any services. I didn’t ask for a diagnosis I didn’t ask him to pour antifreeze into my car or a “pressurized” test. I simply told him my thermostat housing has a leak and I need an estimate. He then REFUSED to let me leave with MY vehicle. After I told him I would only be comfortable paying the 20$ storage fee that he has posted in the shop that starts after THREE days the car is finished just so I could get out of there. Eventually the police had to get called because this man (Nate I think) was screaming at me outside of his shop. Eventually I ended up paying him 40$ just so I could leave and be done with the ordeal. I got my car towed to my regular mechanic who charged me 120$ and took 15 minutes to swap it out while I watched. THIS MAN IS A SCAM AND A GRIMY PERSON DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR BUSINESS. Tried to charge me FIVE times the cost to fix my vehicle. Save yourself the money and headache.
Do not bring your car here! They charged me 200$ for a break switch and not a week later my check engine light came back on. I brought it back and my engine light turned off when I turned my car off and they said they couldn’t do anything about it and to bring it back when it came back on. Now here I am maybe a month later and the check engine light comes on and off and just now tonight my brake lights won’t turn off! Mind you not I’m at auto zone right now and the same code came on that did before and the part I need replaced is 10.99! They definitely robbed me of 200$
We purchased tires online and had them mount and balance the tires for us. They were able to get us in the very next day from when the tires were delivered. So happy that this is the first automotive shop that inflated the tires to the correct specifications and did not over inflate like every other place I have gone. Thank you Nate!

Did a great job of replacing a bad injector in my 04 2500 Ram. I Had it towed in and the guys at ecp got my daily driver back on the road in a few days. Responded quickly and kept me updated throughout the whole process. Happy to see you guys are working on diesels now and will definitely be in for the suspension work I asked about soon. I broke down on the corner just outside this shop Last night. My car had an oil issue and stalled on me. 2 workers here were so kind and helpful to get me off of the road and put a quart of oil in my car to get me to where I needed to go safely. I have not personally used their services, but I will be forever grateful for their kind service to me in my time of need. I would deff recommend doing any business here, and will come to you guys in the future when I need car repair done. Thank you so much for helping me get home safely.
Went in for a check engine light. After they ran a complete check of the engine (compression, timing, EGR…) I had some bad coil packs. Good first experience with them.
They may do a alight job fixing the part but they could really care less about your safty.Ive ask them to inspect and shake down the vehicle. All they said i needed shocks and one other thing but didnt bother the check anything else.A friend looked at it about a week later and said my tie rods were extremely loose.You would think that would be the first thing to check. .Also my steering box was leaking like a civ.Both of those could of been very dangerous. The first time I went thereto get some work done,a week later,my belt snapped cause it was rotted. They were working near the belt and couldve told me .Probably good of done more business. A good mechanic would of told you these things and take pride in their work.
Just saying that Nate and his team do a great job would be a mediocre review. If you are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable repair shop look no further! Communication here is unlike any other, as you always know what is going on with your vehicle. The work is always completed in a timely manner and prices are very fair. At other shops you may be worried about leaving your vehicle, but with ECP you know its in good hands!

Love the use of technology for communication with the customer. Not all car issues are easy to understand or explain. Using photos and videos during inspection helps the customer understand what issues exist and the work required to fix them. In a world full of questionable mechanics, its good to see somebody provide proof of your car issues and not try to sell you unnecessary services. Nate is very reasonable with prices and good with keeping in touch with his customers. I would recommend anybody go here for their automotive issues.
Nate is awesome!! He did front end work for me at a great price, and was done on time! He is very professional and took the time to explain everything that needed fixed! And again, I have to mention the great price!
Nate and the team are amazing....they get the job done right and their pricing is always honest and fair. Heres an example....an oil change, tire rotation, welded muffler hole, and a starter for my vehicle, all for about half of what I was expecting to pay. And the loaner car program is exceptional! We were very satisfied at first but then began to question why the costs of repairs were becoming much higher than the dealer estimate by almost twice as much. We talked to Nate in person and then he never called us back as promised and then we wrote a letter without receiving a response. We found another shop that quickly found and fixed a problem Nate could not diagnose. The last work we had done at ECP was in February of 2019. We now are experiencing the same problem as before and found out that a portion of the work done in February 19 that was paid for was never completed. Sad to say, buyer beware.
I have never received such great customer service. I was given a great quote to repair my range rovers brakes and rotors and my car was fixed within 1 day. When I dropped my car off the mechanic said that it would be unsafe for me to drive my car off the lot because the brakes were so bad. He offered me his own car to drive to work the next day. The following morning I was able to pick my car up early in the morning right when they opened. Nothing but kind words about this shop. Service was fast and efficient!
Excellent service and excellent work. I would up with major damage to my cars wiring from squirrels. I was pretty sure they were going to total my car, but Nate worked with me and with my insurance company to fix it at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be giving ECP my business from here on out. Highly recommended!
Ive never been happier with a mechanic. Not only is their customer service astounding, their technicians really care about the customer and making sure they get the best service possible.We went in the other day for an inspection on a used vehicle that I was thinking about buying and I was fully expecting them to come back with a list of stuff that they wanted to fix for me. When they were done (in 30 minutes) they told me that the car looked immaculate and they told me that I may need to get new boots in about a year, but nothing immediately pressing. They even let me under the car to inspect the rust myself!I am definitely coming back to these guys for all of our other car service needs, we were very pleased with the quality of service and the genuine care for the customer.EDIT: 1 year later, ECP continues to shock me with their customer service. Nate was relentless in figuring out what was wrong with my car. Fantastic place! Cannot recommend highly enough.
I never usually post reviews but I bought a new old GMC Sierra that sounded like it had a bad wheel bearing. This turned out to not be the case, and Nate was SO wonderful about keeping me up to date on everything that was happening with my truck. He fixed her up quickly and she runs perfectly at a very fair price for the work and diagnostics. Thank you guys so much! Would totally recommend your services!
My boyfriend bought a used car off this (guy) place a couple years ago and it was a complete piece of junk. I told him to call and ask him to fix all the things that started to build up and go wrong, but he is a non confrontational person and didnt want to get into any issues with him. He also didnt pay that much for the car but it is the principle. He told my boyfriend the car was a good reliable car - couldnt have been further from the truth. He just ended up junking the car and bought another one. Within 2 weeks he started having issues with the car. I am writing this review now because I see so many people gloating about this guy and his shop, when we had a much different experience here. And it has always bothered me that nothing was ever said about this. Very disappointing. Beware.
ECP is outstanding. Honest and up front about everything, and they do great work in an efficient manner. Perhaps even more importantly, they back up their work. I had a water pump replaced a few months ago and it started to leak recently; turned out the part may have been faulty. They repaired this at no cost to me. To me that says a whole lot about the character of this business. I would happily refer family and friends to Nate to have their cars worked on.
I took my truck in to have the serpentine belt replaced I was quoted a price if $360.00 I asked how much the belt cost and was told $56 I told them to fix it this is allBy texts afterwards I thought it seemed awful high so I called the dealer and asked how much it would cost there, they told me the belt was $49 and it would be about 45 minutes labor so an additional $90 for labor. ECP has already started the job so there wasn’t much I could do. When I went to pick up the truck I asked why it was so much and was told they had to replace several other things while they were at it. I said I would like my old parts back and was told they had been scrapped when I informed the business owner that it is a law to give back the used parts if I wanted them I was told that if I wanted to wait they would dig them out but it would be quite a while before they got to it, I said I had all day they said it would be all day and maybe longer. This is not my first bad experience with this shop, last year I took my truck in with a exhaust leak, when it went in the shop it had dual exhaust (flow master) exhaust when I picked it up it had a cheap single exhaust on it no one bothered to ask if I wanted a single exhaust they just took it upon themselves to do it. I guess they know better than I what I want. I give them a minus 18 star rating.
Great, honest auto repair center. Had my car serviced on a Friday, received a call following Monday morning asking how my car was running and was it all to my satisfaction... Who does that these days? Wasnt just lip service either, they brought my vehicle back in at my convenience for a second look, just to put my mind at ease... Very personalized attention, super friendly and attentive personnel from office staff to mechanics!
They fix things that arent broken and dont fix things that are.takes them to long to fix a repair. They lie about what they say theyve done. Sent me out of there shop with my wheel barely hanging on. There loner cars are death traps... every warning light was on and a sign telling you not to touch the light switch because they wont come back on if you do. I had to put air in the tires. I could go on an on. This place use to be a better place dont know what happen. The only reason Im giving them a 2 star is when I came back mad as hell they took it in and found and fixed the problem with no extra charge!
I have ALWAYS had positive experiences with ECP when Nate and the guys at ECP worked on my car. About a year ago, I need a new thermostat and rear breaks. I was very happy with the service then. A few days ago my car started making that funny noise again, so I call ECP to get my breaks checked. Nate said if it was the rear breaks I was still covered under warranty, (which was nice because I actually forgot about the warranty) This time however it was the front breaks. I trust Nate with my car 100%. Its hard to find someone that you can trust, who wont tell you that things need fixed just to make money. Fair, honest, and reasonably priced. Im so glad we have a reliable alternative to the chains. Nate seems like a standup guy who cares about his customers and employees. Waiting in the lobby while they worked on my car I watched him handle customers from all walks of life decently, get an Uber for a customer who needed a ride, and take time to get to know a job seeker who dropped in to get an application. Being used to mechanics who dont really like people, it was nice to see his positive attitude. He also did my repair for about half of what a competitor quoted.
These guys were great! they were professional and they made it easy for me by texting me pictures and updates. I needed a new muffler and they did a great job at a good price. Nate really cares about the community and it shows. Best shop in Cuyahoga Falls
ECP delivered top-notch service for my vans brakes and a couple of other repair issues. They were fast and courteous. Above and beyond the terrific customer service, they give a two-year parts and labor guarantee for the repairs.
We are very happy with the services the ECP team and Nate personally provided for my sons beloved 1994 Buick Roadmaster Wagon. They were thorough, efficient, reasonably priced and above all very kind and patient with us. I highly recommend ECP for any automotive work. Owner Nate was very pleasant to work with and a true professional, kept me up to date via text and phone calls on progress of repairs to my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I drove over an hour from home to have this shop repair the rocker arms in my Jeep, they did a fantastic job.

Used to be my go-to shop. Then they went downhill significantly. The started promoting this credit card with a $2000 limit and ridiculous interest if you cant pay it off within a year and all of a sudden every repair was around $1600, no matter what it was.Used to be good, now I will no longer go there.
Needed some work done on the front end of my car. They quickly diagnosed the problem and had it ready the same day. Prices are fair and they dont add unnecessary work. Second time I have used them and will trust them again.
Picked up my car from a service appointment and it died in the lot. I was let to figure it out for myself and had to get it repaired elsewhere, after being to ld that my car was fine by ECP... at least they didnt hand me a bill. I would have preferred they just tell me they were not comfortable working on a hybrid.
This man sold me my car for $3000, and my transmission blew after three weeks of having it. The part to fix it is $2000 and $500 for labor! This guy is a SCAM. He blocked me on everything so I can’t get my money back! Do NOT give your service to this horrible dishonest person.

Called on a monday morning about a motor mount in my van. Was able to get drivers and passenger side mounts in my van at a very reasonable price. Worst customer service ever !! Had a couple minor things wrong wanted to get it all fixed like a door handle and little bit of rattling underneath and needed sway bar in front and was completely turned away and told my car was a pice of junk and they are not working on it !!!!! Never been disrespected like that at a place of service 1000$ and nothing would be wrong with the car it was very simple !Never felt with someone so rude in my life

2022-05-27I have been to ECP a few times now. Nate and his team are always pleasant to deal with. He went above and beyond to resolve the issues with our Jeep. I had to have it towed to his shop 11 PM in the evening. The next day, he went in extra early to investigate the issue. It was resolved and even delivered my car to my house by noon.. It was greatly appreciated. I can trust him with my car. Thank you Nate! I will definitely go back.

2022-03-12I have been to ECP a few times now, and each visit has been a pleasant experience.I am no automotive guru by any means, but I usually know what is wrong with a vehicle. I either dont have the proper tools and resources, or the ability to do the repairs myself.The fine folks at ECP are always friendly, fair and honest with both my Wife and myself. We were treated with respect, and I never felt I was being overcharged or otherwise deceived in any way.I have heard many others say the same.Thumbs up! Thanks ECP!

2022-06-17I can’t say enough good things about Nate and the crew at ECP. I wish I could give more than 5 Stars!We’ve had several repairs done over the past few years for two different vehicles and ECP has always done quality work at a fair price, but today Nate took his customer service WAY, WAY over the top. We’re heading for vacation on Sunday (it’s now Friday) and wound up needing a repair to the coolant system and Nate made sure that it got done in just a few hours. He went so far out of his way to accommodate us, it’s BEYOND WORDS! We can’t thank him enough. We are ECP customers for life!!

2022-02-11Not only did ECP fit my car in to get it fixed this week but they answered my request for an appointment through messenger on Sunday night. The problem with my car was the bright lights did not work. Scary when you are on a dark road waiting for a 🦌 to pop out. We talked about it and thought light bulb, fuse, electrical wire. None of that true, it was the switch handle in the car - you know the thing you flick to get your brights on. Do you know what it takes to change that? I do because ECP sent me phones via text message all along the way. They had to take off my stering wheel and take out the airbag. It was very labor intensive but still my labor bill was nothing compared to the part cost. And they got the part in overnight. I am very impressed and thrilled with the service and commitment to getting it done, ruling out several things before finding the problem, and keeping me informed all along the way. Thank you ECP.

2022-01-15I called and got an estimate a week in advance as to the date I wanted to bring my car for new tires. I appreciated the text indicating they had started my car and the message letting me know the work was completed and I could pick it up. It was done in a timely fashion and I was treated professionally and with kindness.

2022-04-14I came to Nate and asked him if he could take care of a family members car that was a no start and had to be towed from Cleveland. later I learned that the car in question passed all charging system checks and the starter was fine. However the vehicle needed several loose front end parts replaced and Nate provided a breakdown of priority as the list was LONG! He was honest, up front and very generous with his time. If your car needs work show Nathan respect and you will be treated with the same respect OR, likely, more.Honesty and integrity like this is hard to find in the world today. I used to work at Rapid Auto Service in Cuyahoga Falls and my mentor was the late, great, Danny Malek. I met his wife at Marcs and she told me to go see him and he would give me a job as a mechanic. I never wanted to let Danny down so I stuck to changing oil. I made friends with his whole family because that is the spirit of true auto repair integrity. Knowledge is power and if you share the knowledge you may as well invite the family. I dont think anyone can replace Danny, but Nate makes me feel like Danny did. Dont take your car to a burn out mechanic that hates his job. Take it to people like NATE that enjoy the challenge of serving their community. When your local community is well the world will grow. 2022-01-11This is the 2nd time Ive used ECP for either a second opinion or a repair. They have been good as far as fitting me into their schedule. They are also curteous, efficient, and professional. I feel confident they provide quality repairs. On my 2nd opinion, they could easily have talked me into a repair I didnt need, but they were honest in their assessment.
