It was ok, close to lots of shopping and restaurants. Wood floor was sticky when we walked on it. Bed was very comfortable. Check in service was ok, did not go out of their way to be friendly. Shower worked great. We cleaned everything down when we got to our room, but we do this when ever we travel.
Staff was very nice. Young lady I spoke with was very nice. Toilet wasn’t working when we arrived & pool was not open. Planned on staying 2 nights, the following day had a high of 101!! So we were really excited to cool down in the pool. Lady said she was soon they had notified Choice hotels to remove it from website. She offered a full refund if we wished to leave. 5 star for front desk about 2 star for our room and building in genesis. Not sure why any hotels around here even ask smoking or none when every room smells like smoke
Room was NOT cleaned. Dead bugs on the window sill, tub, corners of room and sink. The floor was so dirty my husband and I had BLACK bottoms of our feet. I asked that the room be properly cleaned and for turn down service for the second night and it was not done correctly. Floor was the same and the bugs were still there!!. Our room key didnt work and they had to keep letting us in our room so we had to wait every time we wanted to get in our room with my 6 mos old. She stayed in her play pen because the room was UNSANITARY. The front desk associate came and fixed the door so our keys would work and that was a bust. There were matressessssss in the pool area that made the pool and workout area inaccessible. The Ice machine is definitely a health code violation. There is only 1 which is located at the front desk. Continental breakfast was not served there are LOTS of old cords, carts, vacuum cleaners and busted chairs that made it look like a junk yard. The only reason we stayed was because we had payed in advance for his family to stay there and there was no option to get our money back. THE SINGLE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I will NOT be staying here again.
Well, we were in need a place to stay so we booked what we thought was a good hotel! When we got to the hotel we were told it was the last room & we went in sight unseen. As we entered the room we noticed it was run down, dusty & the bathroom floor was filthy! In the morning we went down to the office for breakfast which was supposed to be part of it and all they had to offer was coffee. Then someone entered our room with a key & didnt even knocking! Then we looked out the door & a sheriff car was outside!
I am pleasantly surprised considering the reviews. We are not picky or expecting a $100 room for $45! That’s insane to expect. I will come back. The room was ok. There were no bugs. It was some cobwebs and dust those don’t bother us. The greatest part of the whole experience was the customer service! The lady came up to our room and personally took care of us. We booked the room for two nights separately and we did not have to move rooms! Our A/C went out they had a new one in and fixed in an hour. I have been in more expensive rooms and better places and not had the customer service experience I had here!!! Thank you so much! I don’t care what anyone else says this hotel is worth the money!
None of them see your manatees that was offered by Priceline staff was difficult to understand linens stained and with cigarette burns. Need to pay extra for handicapped accessibility refused extra blanket when requested. No Continental breakfast. Parking lot noisy with lawyers and beggars in the lot. Police frequent to take away the disruptive people. Would not stay here again unless they paid me. One of the guests said that they had been charged $75 extra to change rooms when their room was not acceptable. I know this was a fact because I viewed the receipt. The laundry facilities were filthy and vile with machines that did not work
Very reasonable - just a place to sleep - so it was acceptable. The room as clean. But the room looked cheap - old and whoever painted the roomdid not do a good job. The TV reception was very poor. All kinds of homemade signs on do/donts. Made it feel unwelcoming. The person who was reception at arrival and the person checking out was friendly - even a smile! If traveling and I just need a place to sleep - I would go back.
Where Im from you dont stay in Econo Lodge...But since the company pay for it and it was 28° out I said okay why did I do that paint peeling on the walls in the room in the bathroom floors was dirty I didnt shower if you got in that tub of that shower you was going to come out of there with something dont waste your money!!! ECONO LODGE ITS TIME TO RENOVATE OR KNOCK DOWN AND REBUILD SERIOUSLY
Even if you are in a non-smoking room, if you are near the stairways the smell will be in the room. Many things were broken/needed attention. Shower Curtain Rod (wasnt put up properly); Towel Rack was coming off the wall; Coat Rack was in pieces; Microwave didnt work (pushed a button and two days later it finally responded). AC froze up, knobs missing. These items were reported to the front desk upon departure.
Customer service was good.Room was mostly clean, the floors needed mopped, they turned my socks black within 30 minutes of being there. Everything else seemed pretty clean though. The mini fridge was dirty inside and out. Had fur in the fridge.Place is definitely dated and needs updates.Otherwise, it is cheaper than most around this area. I paid 59 with tax for a ground level smoking room, full size bed.
We are looking for an apartment and have had to stay in hotels. We have been at the Econolodge for over a month and a half. We ended up her because last hotel was not up to par. The Manager and staff are always there for your needs or problems. I will be staying here until i find an apartment.
It was the most unclean and ghetto Hotel I ever stayed at they didnt clean your room we was told that we had to make a appointment the day before in order to get a change of sheets and I have housekeeping come clean my room. It made us feel like that hotel should be shut down 🤔 it was just a nightmare
It is definitely not a 5 star hotel, or even a 3 star, but i do not want bring down their ratings because you just get what you pay for . And for $40-$50, this place is a come up. I am on the road constantly , and just having somewhere to shower and lay my back down on is good enough. Yes, it can use a deep cleaning and an upgrade in several aspects but the staff is actually very nice and friendly . When I was the checking out, an older man greeted me with the most enthusiastic and sincere ‘good morning’. Would recommend for anyone looking to just get a quick night rest and shower
I used to love staying here but after my last stay I can safely say Ill never return or advise anyone I know to as well. I had been staying there for for 2 night already and on the third day I upp to book the 2 rooms I had again. Well there was some kinda glitch in there app that never generated or confirmed my reservation two times in a row over a 45 minutes time frame. During that time the hotel manager not only harassed us and forced us to pay a $40 late check out fee but also at one point had threatened to call the police on us for failure to pay. Mind you the entire time this is all going on Im on the phone with customer service for choice hotels trying to get the issue resolved yet he did not give a s***book continued on ignoring the fact we were doing everything we could to get the issue taken care of as fast as possible. The end result was us leaving the hotel all together because of how extremely rude and unprofessional he had been treating us and at that point collectively we just did not want to stay there. The unfortunate reality is that the hotel itself is not a bad location a little bit dated yes however for the price totally worth it under normal circumstances, however when you factor in having to deal with the hotel manager treating you the way we were it makes it very much not worth it. I and safely say the only way I will ever return Hotel undergoes New Management.
Reasonably clean. Person at desk said was a non-smoking room. But it smelled of smoke. Hair dryer worked. But was stained and the outer shell was broken. No tissues. Dated furnishings and bathroom. The paint job in the bathroom was poorly done with paint on edges of tub, light switch plate and other wall mounted items. Sink faucet difficult to adjust to desired flow and awful spray pattern. Otherwise the bed was comfortable, good, working fridge, large counter with sink and friendly staff.
No heat in room when we arrived. Refused ( military, AARP, AAA, CDL) discount of any kind. Booked through Choice Hotels and they wanted to charge more than website advertised. No coffee maker or hair dryer in room. Breakfast consisted of weak coffee and cereal with No Milk. Room was overpriced considering the amenities. Hot tub was nice, but no extra towels. Had to use damp towels for shower. Quite a disappointment! This is the second time that Ive booked a Choice Hotel for my Girlfriends Birthday and have been let down and embarrassed. May have to consider other Hotel Chains in the future
Gave me a a room that hasnt been rented in over a yr.. very bad experience, had to wait 45 minutes for a room I reserved.. bugs were in the tub on the floor bed wasnt made.. it was just a horrible experience . They were extremely nice people ill give them that but the hotel was horrible
The staff is friendly and courteous. Hotel is in a shopping center on the periphery. Adequate restaurants nearby within a half-mile. I felt safe during my stay. The room was clean but could use updating. A hangar bar was directly over a high chest which precluded hanging any garments. The bed was uncomfortable and the springs made noise every time I moved. The breakfast was much less than usual for this type of hotel. Two kinds of frosted cereal, white bread, juice and bananas. I have stayed at all types and price range of hotels and I adjust my expectations accordingly. This stay was about what I expected.
Ok .looks nice with all the updates. House keeping needs to cleaning the chairs more.cloth chair and they dont seem to wipe them down ,badly in need of shampooing. Need to update plumbing. Waited a half hour and the water still wasnt warm. Had to leave and take shower somewhere else
My room was not cleaned and i found left over items from the person who stayed in the room before me. The fridge did not work and we had to put a bag of ice in it to keep our things cool. The bed had a broken spring and made so much noise at the slightest movement. Lastly the breakfast was not worth walking to, it had old stale donuts and orange water for juice, it also had NO selection for food.Staff was nice, unfortunately it does not make up for poor attention to room conditions.
The guests and staff are noisy. I could not get any sleep. There is a train track near the hotel and a train comes by about every 30 minutes. There was a used toilet paper roll in the room but there was a new one on the toilet. There were roaches in the room. The bathtub was not clean. No coffee maker or hair dryer in the room. The worst hotel Ive visited.
Cost and location good. Room ok but very old and in disrepair, towels in unsanitary position. Bed clean though bedding had holes and burn marks. Frig and microwave were definite bonuses. Staff very nice and attentive. The two times we appeared for breakfast, though near the end of its time, the brown bananas and small variety of food left looked so awful, we ended up buying our own elsewhere.
Worst stay weve EVER had! Beds are hard with springs poking through. Bathroom door wouldnt even shut completely. Outlet by sink didnt work, the entire setting was wobbling in the wall. Water stain in the ceiling. Room was stocked with 2 towels for a 4 person stay, when we asked for more towels, they didnt have any. We booked a 4 night stay and each evening we had to walk down to the front desk and complain yet again that room was not restocked with towels! We did not have a Do Not Disturb sign in the door so that housekeeping would come in and change out our towels. Didnt happen till our last night there. I get that we didnt pay for a 5-star hotel, but this motel doesnt even deserve 1 star. We will not be staying there again.
I would like to say this isnt THE worst motel, as the location was close to a lot of stores and the staff were friendly and accommodating. But other than that? It FELT dirty. The noise level was terrible. The fridge was dirty and had mold. We even had to move rooms as the fridge in the initial room didnt work. The mirrors were dirty. The lining on the wall was coming apart... Not to mention other structural issues. Most of the clientele looked plain shady... This place just wasnt worth the $70 we paid. I wouldve rather have spent an additional thirty to stay somewhere else. If you can avoid this place, please do.
The stay was alright. I would have thought that the air conditioning in the room would have been on when I checked in but it wasnt. Also I expected more than 3 pillows for a king size bed. Sure I was the only guest but seeing that the room had only a chair at the desk more pillows would have been nice for sitting on the bed relaxing. Other than that it wasnt a bad hotel.
Although I no longer smoke, but do Vape - I still was required to stay in a smoking room. It smelled of stale smoke, along with burn marks on counters. The cushioned chair had some sort of stains on it - I decided I shouldnt set anything on that. Would have been nice to have carpeting in room as the weather was pretty chilly. Couldnt really get comfortable enough on the bed to sleep more than 20 minutes at a time. The shower was nice though and clean towels.
The location is good for out of the noise and such but there is a lot to be desired for this location. The room had been remodeled but you can tell it was done by an amateur. Baseboards and trims not cleaned after install, some crooked edge finishing and such. There was no coffee maker in the room, have not seen that in years of stays elsewhere. Also said coffee was available but only 6-9 during the breakfast time. Speaking of which the Continental Breakfast was the worst we have ever experienced.
I went here for an interview. The trainer was so unsanitary. She disposed of used condoms with no gloves and she cleaned the toilet WITH TOILET WATER. That same towel was used to wipe down the sink and tub. The only thing I was impressed with was how she made the bed. I definitely would not wanna sleep or work here.
Many problems with hotel room did not report because of late check in did not want to deal with corrections purely out of exhaustion. Customer service is always spot-on needed a first floor room and was able to accommodate me unfortunately the upgrade came with 2 non working lamps problems with the ac and no Wi-Fi for some reason which was a big problem due to the fact it was a buisness trip. But as I said I have been here and the owner and staff is always a pleasure and I know had we not have been so tired they may have been able to switch our rooms.
The absolute worst place I have ever stayed. The carpet had such a nasty feeling that I couldnt even let my toddler touch the floor. The tub would not drain, the floor had hair and ashes all along the wall where the vacuum did not get close enough to and they apparently didnt care. Thankfully we had our own blankets to carry up and place on the bed because by the way the rest of the place looks who could trust their blankets. All 3 of us woke up with sore throats and my guess is that their air condition mounted on the wall had never been cleaned or had a filter changed. The pavement around the entire building is stained with bubblegum and everything you could imagine. The Arabic people are impossible to understand, when you make a reservation over the phone guaranteed your information will be a complete mess when you arrive. They had my name and card information wrong even after I spelled everything out twice. For real it is so easy to just clean the place the right way and their reviews wouldnt be so terrible. Im beyond disgusted with this place!
Basic all the way.. no coffee, 20 inch TV thats fuzzy on every channel, a couple of towels and thin sheets on a crunchy sounding mattresses. Clean enough not to worry but had to unplug microwave as it was possessed and kept beeping and cycling with no one doing anything.. even beeped one time after it had be unplugged for awhile. Great staff that cleans but the office will blow you off on requested items. If you can travel cheap this is the place.
I knew when I booked this hotel it was a bargain and I didnt expect a four star experience at a two-star price. However, although the room cleanliness was ok the night I arrived, I stayed two nights and the room was not cleaned at all during my stay. I requested the sheets be changed and they werent. The floor wasnt swept nor the bathroom cleaned. Towels were changed and garbage emptied. I left a nice tip but regretted it when I returned. I would stay here, again, for an inexpensive night, but wouldnt stay beyond one night.
Im pleased with the rates. The remodeling that this hotel has undertaking a couple of years ago has paid off and it looks very nice now. There was some technical issues with the reservation system versus how they check me in that I discussed and the other part of this survey. Im pretty disappointed with the variety of provided in the continental breakfast. Its more like a lack of variety and Z breakfast that they offered a year or so ago when very good complete with oatmeal and Waffles and breakfast meat. I wish those choices were still available. And I suppose if I got my way with that then rate increases would reflect to the increased food cost.
Would only be leaving 1 star if it wasnt for the very nice people at the front. Extremely friendly and helpful.Unfortunately, the hotel and room, get 1 star.Had to change rooms because I our first was so dirty. Upon examination of the second, similar problems. Stains, holes and hair all over the sheets.Cigarette burns in the blankets (even in the non-smoking room). Nasty tub... Really not a comfortable, cleaning feeling sleep.Put in the extra 20 or so bucks and head somewhere nicer. Waking up rested is worth it.
If you need a quick place to stay that is affordable then by all means stay here. Just be careful and go over your room with a fine tooth comb before you do. Overall, the room was okay but its the little things like cobwebs and bugs on the window sill that will get your attention. It is my hope that the parking lot will get redone and relined int he next few years to make the overall first impression of the hotel better and more welcoming. The best part is that this hotel is around everything you could need - stores, restaurants and more.
ZERO STARS. Doors are slammed frequently. The manager of the hotel was rude. They beat on my door twice, when I called to ask what was wrong he asked me if I was staying or going after I had already explained it check in when I would be checking out. He then slammed the phone in my ear. His vehicle was blocking the drive-through when I checked in and two days later when I checked out. I was completely disgusted and angry. I got a little sleep due to all the interruptions. And I will not be back.
Very unhappy. We had to be moved to 3 different rooms before we just decided to leave and go someplace else. Our first room didnt have a working toilet. The second room had a broken heater. The 3rd room had a heater that blew out cold air. Its 28 degrees outside! The staff at the front desk was very nice but thats it. Everything here is very outdated.
Springfield Ohio, staff is friendly and polite, but price of rooms definitely is reflected in the overall feel of the place. Staff had to hunt down an ashtray for a smoking rooms, which they happily brought to us once located. Inside secondary/security lock was broken, TV was a flat screen TV with Dish Network but every station was fuzzy and only detected by TV as analog not digital. So many people seem to live there that it can feel like an apartment complex with people just sitting around outside or even cooking out, walking around outside your window at all hours.Look you get what you pay for, and though it sounds like Im complaining Im not. I stay there when I need a cheap room.
Very economic price. Hidden behind a large shopping complex. Lots of restaurants close by. Room was so so, some spider webs. Bath was ok. Very dated type decor. Just an odd feel about the place. Continental breakfast was two cereals, and two types of bread for toast, not really anything else. A cheap quick last minute stop.
The rooms were absolutely filthy. There was burn holes in the sheets and pillows, when the front desk was confronted they said the last guest must have used the blankets in order to hide them, indicating the blankets weren’t changed from the last guest. The bathroom door looked kicked in and hardly latched. The floor was caked with dirt. The location however was awesome, it was close to everything. It seems like owners live on site.
Our room wasnt horrible, but was definitely getting what you pay for or a little less. Springy saggy bed, 2 pillows per bed (2x double room), floor was clearly not vacuumed with most of a spilled cigar all over the ground, hair on the sink and a butt in the drain, spider in the bathroom, dirty shower floor. Online photos were definitely the best those areas ever looked. Breakfast only goes till 9 every day and when I showed up at 9:01 someone was grabbing one of two plain donuts with nothing else left. Im guessing there wasnt much there in the first place if it could be cleaned up in 1 minute. The good parts were that the staff was friendly, the water pressure was good, parking was pretty easy, Walmart nearby, and it was cheap. The microwave and fridge were pretty clean so I hope things get cleaned a little better semi regularly. I was only planning to sleep here but Ill probably spend a few more dollars for something nicer next time.
The receptionist was the brightest / most cheerful I have encountered (genuinely so). The bed clearly needed to be replaced, having roughly the same contour as a contact lens. It being a king size, we managed to find a flat bit at the bottom upon which to sleep well. Room was fairly spacious and clean. Overall a great value.
Hotel community’s version of a Slum Lord. Hotel needs to be shut down, remodeled, and put under new management. It appears that they are having a weekly live-ins clean the rooms or an employee that does not care about the company or their job. Cable television is horrible. Half the channels do not display and the ones that do are barely viewable due to poor picture. I be have never eaten it, just popped my head in to see its quality. Complementary breakfast is muffins, banana, and cold cereal, Really?
I was actually surprised by the level of cleanliness. I was pretty apprehensive how it would be at this price but a person has to keep in mind it is an older building - nothing terrible - just older.I would prefer healthier breakfast options. Doughnuts and sugary cereals dont rate well with me. Would like to see individual pints of milk rather than a shared gallon of milk, but it wasnt a big deal. There were a couple by-the-week renters hanging out - makes a person feel as if they are being watched but there werent any problems.Overall, a really good experience.
I would give this place an zero. When I checked in the lady had a very bad attitude. She wanted extra money (cash) for coffee, breakfast, etc. Stayed 2 nights. I should of went somewhere else. Noisy people hanging out playing loud music in the parking lot until 3am. Second night mouse in the room. Check room before checking in. Room was not clean and house keeping never came around.
The room was available quickly, but not at the $39 price displayed on the outside of the building. We paid $50 for our one double bed room only after talking the night staff down from $60. He claimed the display price was the weekly amount. The room was quite dated, with ripped carpeting, and the t.v. did not work. However, it was clean, with all amenities listed in advertisements.
Worst, hotel stay ever, the continental breakfast was horrible consisted of toast, hot milk and damaged old fruit, rooms were way outdated, dirty, the floors were filthy. The mattresses were slanted to one side work out, just filthy outdated hotel needs to be condemned.
This motel is in rough shape. Pros: The bed was comfortable, and the shower was decent. Cons: Location is question. Felt on edge due to the poor lighting, clearly damaged walls/doors/furniture, and fact that the door did not seal shut completely. The fire alarm was pulled at midnight by some of the other guests as well. Also, could not get the WiFi to work. In short, I would not stay there again.
We stayed there because we couldnt make the three hour trip home before work (we work from our laptops), our boss refused to give us the day off, and we cant afford much. You got what you paid for. We needed a place to sleep and the staff was super nice. The room was a little janky and the internet kept cutting out, making work incredibly stressful but it wasnt their fault. If all youre looking for is an overnight bed and nothing fancy, then the place worked fine.
The price and people were just fine. However, the advertisement online for the room said there were Ethernet connections, a coffee pot, a working radio, etc. We had none of these, most plugs were unplugged, and the internet was so spotty that my wife and I, both having to work from laptops, almost had to call into work to call off the shift. The breakfast offered is exceptionally small, so please do not look at this as a selling point. Outside of this the bed was comfortable, TV worked really well, and the computer chair was comfortable. AC worked though looked damaged. Overall what youd expect for a cheap hotel, and the staff was exceptionally nice.
It was a place to sleep, reasonably priced. It was quiet unlike a few of the hotels I stayed in Maumee, I felt safe and lots of places to go within walking distance. There is a small pool great to cool off in on a hot day. On the negative side rooms are small, didnt appear to be the cleanest place, and the breakfast consisted of milk OJ, dry cereal, donuts or muffin
It was alright! The rooms were clean when we arrived and looked good, one of the beds you sat on it and it made a loud clunk sound and a sleeping on a pile of rocks would have been more comfortable. The outside of the hotel could use some TLC. After the first night we asked for fresh towels and garbage cans emptied which neither happened, had to get fresh towels from front desk. Breakfast..... well, that was a joke! Only a few day old donuts from Walmart were put out, a few slices of bread, cereal was a little stale and barely enough milk for maybe 2 bowls of cereal was there and the orange juice was so watered down it was undrinkable! No bagels, no waffle maker, no peanut butter for the toast. Worst part of the whole hotel. Workers were nice and friendly.
The worst experience ever when it comes to staying in a hotel/motel. The first room was absolutely horrible! The room was filthy from the tables and sink to the refrigerator with food left in it. The second room was even worse! Dirty floors, dirty refrigerator and dirty bathroom! The third room has filth on the refrigerator along with the tables and desk. No towels in the room and hair in the beds and on the floor! Never and I do mean never stay there! Terrible customer service to match!
Toilet was broken each day of the stay. I called each day for the front desk to come fixed it. My room was also one of the rooms that was cleaned by housekeeping. Which the staff was very apologetic to the issues and came to fix it but the fact of the matter both of those was major issues. Our towels was thrown on the floor for housekeeping to get and when we was told they messed up we had to also then wait for more towels to come out the dryer so we left and brought towels because we couldnt wait for clean ones. The front desk lady did bring us a new set but then our toilet broke again.
The room was messy, loose tobacco behind the nightstand and trash under the bed, we made a complaint and even after having the room cleaned there was still trash under the bed, upon checking out the manager offered a refund for both nights, I did not receive the refund so I called to question it and was told they made a mistake and cancelled the transaction after we left and now will not give the refund. I will not return!
I arrived for my check-in, in the middle of a storm. The drive thru check in area was blocked by the staffs car, requiring me to get out in the middle of the down pour. Upon walking into the lobby I noticed a sour smell & things looked very dusty & old. The woman at the counter barely acknowledged me except to run my card. When arrived in my room the sour smell was even worse and everything looked like it hadnt been touched in years. The bed had no boxsprings & was sitting on the floor. I didnt bring in any of my luggage before inspecting the room as is my habit. There was a film of dirty on all the surfaces. I also saw many bugs crawling on the air conditioner, bathroom floor and telephone. I promptly went back to the front desk and asked for a refund. They offered me another room, but I didnt take the chance.
For the cost the room was adequate. The room did not have enough bath towel for the quantity of guests. Heating/Cooling shuts off causing stuffiness in room and Internet WIFI was not accessible. Room was clean and breakfast was adequate for the cost. Have stayed at other Econolodges in the past and this by far was the worst of them, in fact the others were very good in most categories.
Please check beds for bed bugs. EVERY time I stay I get bites all over my body and my boyfriend does as well. The staff is nice but come on you guys can’t afford actual maids??? Everytime I go I feel like I’m in a dirty room. Last time I went they checked us into a room that hadn’t even been “cleaned” yet and the door was wide open. Because of this mistake they didn’t have any other single bed rooms available so my boyfriend and I were forced to a two bedroom room which honestly wasn’t as bad as the rooms I usually get. But on the second night I was forced to pay the upcharge even though it wasn’t the room I had been given. I think that’s unfair. Anway found a joint roach on the lamp, bath tub was filthy, floors made my feet black, and my wash clothes and towel are ALWAYS dirty!!! I literally make an effort to bring my own towels and bedding to sleep on because I am convinced things aren’t always cleaned properly. I meant to write this when I stayed last weekend. Please staff can you please check your beds I really think you guys have a serious issue there.
Way better than expected! We werent sure what too expect having never stayed at an Econolodge before, but the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and there was a fridge and a microwave, which meant nicer hotels dont have. It was clean and convenient and we will stay again.
I didnt expect a lot checking into the hotel. The weather was bad and I needed to get some sleep. Check in process was very quick, and the desk clerk was friendly. There was a party(?) in the parking lot outside my room and fellow guests were up most of the night with the radio playing. I didnt get a lot of sleep. Oh - the TV didnt work.
The staff was kinda rude not friendly at all we stayed two days the second day they didnt inform the house keeper were staying an she just busted in our room good thing we were dressed i liked it cuz its by my favorite store sams club an walmart. I would stay again just customer service need to work on attitudes. Ppl want to experience a great pleasant stay not be treated rude wen ur paying ur money
Hate is a strong word but man I hated this place..if you ever seen the bates motel movies this would be the best description of this place. The floor was gross there was black mold on the floor coming from the carpet, the holes in the wall was horrid, the toilet didnt flush for anything 5 flushes was 4 flushes too many, the interior of the door was dirty and had scuff marks all in it.. There were shady looking people in the parking lot. The exterior of the door should have been a big red flag for us, but we looked past it. Worst 10 minutes of my life!!! And then for the desk clerk to argue with me on a refund when I was completely dissatisfied and neither me nor my wife felt safe..mine and my familys safety is more important than some damn company losing money.
When we first arrived we were greeted by a woman that had a huge attitude. Once we got in the room there were rips in the wall paper, beds were hard, had no coffee in room or at check in area, microwave didnt work well and during breakfast they had 6 doughnuts laid out which on guy came in and took all. The property is run down and in bad need of repair.
Its not a 5 star facility. That said, its clean and comfy. The staff is excellent and jimos right in any concerns voiced to them. Each visit I have made here, is better then the visit prior. I can tell that the mgt is really working on making this hotel better. They are doing a great job at it too.
Pros: Fresh towels, bug freeCons: Cigarette burns in bed sheet; bathroom was out dated; furniture looked like it was recovered from a abandoned motel; had no idea where to find the office when parking to check-in, only to find the passageway blocked by the owner/managers? car; breakfast was a joke - 2 muffins and 6 glazed doughnuts, cereal, nothing else memorable, probably because there was nothing else besides the choices in the vending machine.
This hotel was absolutely filthy. Carpets were stained, room was dusty, bedsheets had sequins from previous guest in them. Floor and counter of the night check-in area were sticky. In the bathroom, there was a large spider web with eggs in it. Only two towels were provided for 3 guests. Toilet was wobbly. I reported the wobbly toilet at check-out and the desk clerks response was again. I suspect it hadnt been fixed at all.
Rude staff or invisible. No one was at the desk at check out and check in we were welcomed by the staff member smoking and rudely telling us we must pay in full before getting our room key. The hotel was filthy and loud. Not even sort the few hours sleep we needed to break up our 14 hour drive. It was so awful we did not even stay for 4 hours. We have never experienced anything like this with choice hotels before.
Stayed two nights and room was never serviced. Cord to phone in room was hidden so that you could not call front desk. Asked for two keys at check-in and was only provided with one with the explanation that room was in only one name even though we paid a double rate and had indicated the room was for two. ...Had to walk to the front desk and request clean towels and a coffee pot that actually worked. Its a long walk from the last room in the back to the front desk. The train runs all night and the sound is disturbing. Skipped the breakfast and went to the Bob Evans nearby...would never stay here again for any reason.
Horrible, first room there was it looked like finger prints from chips on the bed. The floor was super dirty and it smelled horrible. Second room they put us in was almost just as bad... And the fridge was leaking. Never again, only good thing was they refunded our money ASAP.! I dont recommend to anyone.
Very affordable. The only channel we got was showing forensic files (no joke) and the deadbolt had been snapped off, adding to the unsafe vibe. Some abandoned shopping carts under the stairs and a stray cat added to that vibe. Room was clean, $40, and near a target. Nothing bad happened so I cant complain too much.
This place is filthy and unsafe. Ive been traveling for the last five months and this is by far the worst place I reserved at. The door was wide open to the room when I arrived, people were loitering in the parking lot, the place was dirty and I felt unsafe. I refused to stay for my own safety and neither the Econo Lodge or Agoda the website that I reserved through will give me a refund.
So I booked this hotel Saturday night just because I was trying to stay cheap. We get there and check in, and got our keys. It took probably 5 minutes for the key to unlock the door. Once we get into the room, I realize how low quality this place really is. Beds felt like cardboard, floors were dirty, etc. For $65 a night, I rather would have been homeless. No towels in the room, no soap or toiletrees, no toilet paper. Then my boyfriend and I went to check out the pool, and it was the dirtiest pool I have ever seen. There were also two men sitting by the pool smoking a blunt. We immediately went back to our rooms, packed our bags, and demanded a refund. They said they would refund, and we packed our cars. The guys that were smoking weed were walking around and sat in front of our doors and kept hitting on me, and making me feel really uncomfortable. Literally everyone staying here is sketchy. I am still waiting on my refund to be processed, but this place either needs to be gutted and redone, or shut down.UPDATE:They did not refund and it processed through my card. I called and said the charge processed and the man said they will not refund, even though a lady told us they would. If the lady said she wont refund, we would have actually stayed there. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO FEEL COMPLETELY UNCOMFORTABLE, NOT SAFE, AND SLEEP WITH BED BUGS.
I was put in the second building. Furniture was beat up and old and the pillows were lumpy. Landscaping around the premises is horrible and there were kids running around outside at midnight. It looked like they might live there. Breakfast was horrible as well. Only good thing was its by lots of restaurants.
Its somewhat out of the way down a long shopping center ring road, but one you find it, its pretty obvious. There are no interior hallways - rooms open straight to the outdoors. Fortunately, on a cold night, the in-room heaters were efficient and reasonably quiet. They have the usual things expected in a value-priced motel, and the ones in the rooms I and my family booked were all in good condition, with very little wear and all very functional. The TVs were big-screen LCD models with HDMI inputs so we could plug in our own video-playing devices.
This is a great price for the hotel. Its actually in a great location, just slightly off the path, but so close to shopping and lots of restaurants, right off Highway 475. If youre not planning on spending a lot of time in the room, then this is a great choice. I really only used it for sleeping purposes, and it was totally fine. The only problem we had was with the key not working, and then a problem with the auto locks. But it does have a safety latch lock as well as a deadbolt, so we just used the deadbolt when in the room. We basically came there and went to sleep, only left for 15mins to get food and just didnt leave anything in the room during that time. The staff knew of the problem and tried to fix by giving us a key that worked, and it did, but that messed with the auto lock feature. It was not such a big deal to us to go back and say something again, since we could just use the deadbolt.
The hotel was decent overall and all but one staff member was very nice this one particular staff member when I was having trouble with my key card informed me that he did not have me in my system he would not let me inside my room to get my medications and belongings that I had paid for and I had to pay for my room again until things got it straightened out just so I didnt have to be outside he was so rude he yelled at me he threatened to call police on me if I didnt calm down because he said my crying was upsetting other customers and his Lobby. However the whole experience was very upsetting and scary to me so needless to say I will never darken the doorstep of Econo Lodge in Holland Ohio again
Horrible hotel! Pillows and cases stained yellow, door knobs falling off, shower curtain rod missing screws and falling off the wall and the curtain wouldnt stay shut! Wifi was horrible wouldnt even load emails! Filed a complaint and the general manager wont answer my complaint or call me back or talk to guest relations! BEWARE and stay away!
Staff was very friendly rbut the rooms was not the greatest when I first walked in and sat on the bed I noticed it rocked (true story) and I thought to myself this would be great IF I wanted to rock myself to sleep. After I decided well you get what you pay for so I dealt with that and in the morning I called down for a late check out and they offered me 30 minutes and I asked for an hour because we wanted to go shopping nearby after being granite the late checkout and going shopping we return together are things and was unable to enter the room. I went to the lobby and was giving a new key return to my room only to still be unable to get in, I went back to the lobby and I was told by the gentleman (housekeeping can let you in) my initial thought was thats not very safe but whatever But housekeeping was nowhere around either now Im getting mad as I make my third trip to the office. The gentleman from front desk came and let me into my room.
Pros:Budget pricing, easy in/out semi truck parking in adjacent lot, large bathroom with a large wall mirror, a really nice one person sit-down shower in the handicap accessible room, small but cozy room, outdoor seasonal pool, although Im not a smoker and to give a fair assessment Ill list having smoking rooms (located in a seperate building) as a pro.Cons:Back side rooms run parallel to main line rail road tracks, no t.v. remote (back up remote from office would not pair to t.v.), faux wood laminate floor filthy and sticky to the touch, breakfast area was decent enough but the actual breakfast was skippable, perhaps raise room prices by $5 to cover the cost to offer hot breakfast, and finally it would be nice to have a hot tub in the pool area.Id recommend staying here IF youre on a budget, you reserve a handicap room, and youre okay with grabbing breakfast elsewhere.
Do not stay here. Sleep in your car or the airport terminal before you stay in this hotel. Drive to the next town and stay there; knock on a strangers door and ask if you can stay the night before staying at this hotel. Bugs, dirty towels, broken doors and drawers and rude staff come at the regular price.
While economically priced my experience was a joke - shower curtain falling down, maintenance not knowing how to properly fix a tv remote, furniture turned around to hide the fact it was broken, and the bed improperly made. Now lets follow that by the free breakfast - I think youd be treated better at a soup kitchen.
Talk about the slums, sink leaked, toilet wasnt secured it would rock, wouldnt fix anything when reported. The manager/boss was rude.. oh and biggest problem of them all... I went to go pay for another week and boss told me he does not do weekly rates anymore and that our room has been reserved for someone! HOW CAN THAT BE WHEN IT WASNT EVEN TIME FOR US TO CHECK OUT YET, HOW CAN YOU PUT A RESERVE ON A ROOM WHEN THERE ARE CURRENTLY PEOPLE IN IT AND IT WASNT TIME TO CHECK OUT. CHECK OUT TIME IS 11AM I TRIED PAYING FOR ANOTHER WEEK AT 1030AM. WE ARE NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!
The room was not clean. There were 2 bars of opened soap, a used washcloth and towel in the bath. There weredried deposits on the bedsheet. The room keycard given to me had the word master written on it. How many other master keycards were out at this location. When the original keycard did not work the clerk reported that keycard was operational and escorted me to the room and could not get the card to work but he had a second card that opened the door. Hence masterThe breakfast offered a choice between 3 day old donuts, a choice of 2 dry cereals and toast without butter. This facility appears to be used as a resident facility as well as a motel.
Poor, some one was given a key to enter my room, I caught the boom, who was a Caucasian man, I sreamed at him so loudhe ran, I reported the ince incident to the manager of the Econo lounge, who did nothing, he never got back in touch with me,I called the police, who got back to me 6 hours later. Not a safe place. The Manager has no concern for the safety of his guest.
Spend your money somewhere else.I wish I did. I would never stay at this particular Econo Lodge and it is say because I have stayed at a couple of different EconoLodge hotels in the past and never had a bad experience. The breakfast was pitiful and from the time be checked in to the time we checked out we could not get onto the free wifi that was said to be available.
Aside from the noise of the train passing by, you can also hear conversations in the next room, people walking above, and the plumbing make noise all night.Old building, poorly maintained.Plenty of other option nearby, take advantage of them and dont waste you time at this dump.
Would stay again. staff was lovely and very accommodating to my needs .very fast check in and check out as well as regular service friendly courtesy staff would definably stay again. Also will recommend to anyone and everyone I come into contact with. Excellent staff kudos.
Do. Not. Stay. Here. I stayed here less than a night with my girlfriend because of dust mites and clover mites in the bed. Being allergic to them makes us both break out in terrible rashes. There were probably also bed bugs, but we didnt want to stay long enough to find out. Couldnt sleep so we checked out early to take our business elsewhere. Not worth the money. We showed up hours after check-in and the room still wasnt ready for us and the door was wide open when it was. Centipedes crawling in the sink and bathtub. Absolutely horrible place to stay.
Went there for a party. Everyone was having a great time until someone found and killed a cockroach. Everyone grabbed their things and left in a hurry. On top of that the room had not been properly cleaned so they had to have housekeeping come in and re-clean it before the guest showed up.
The room smelled of mold/mildew and there was a spider on the ceiling!! The bathroom was terrible! The motel is situated directly next to a freight train yard with trains passing AND blowing the whistle several times during the night. Breakfast selection consisted of a couple choices of sugar cereal, white bread for toasting and stale donuts left on a tray in the open. Soda.vending machine was out of most selections. They had weekly rates and appeared to be people staying there long term.

2022-05-23I will NEVER go back there for a number of reasons: 1) Filthy - I was afraid to touch anything, like light switches, the refrigerator door..., etc. I wiped everywhere with my antibiotic cleaning sheets possible- counters, side table tops, TV remote, drawers. The coffee maker was dusty, too.2) Air-conditioner- it was also filthy with dust. The thought of breathing any air through that made me feel sick. We could not open the windows, so we were stuck in a room with no vent (except for the fan in the bathroom) all night. 3) Noise- people were shouting loud outside and cars and semis driving through were loud, too. 4) The room we got first smelled of smoke despite being a non-smoking room; the door did not lock. When we went back to report these issues, we were originally told that they have no other room. When we insisted that we could not stay in a room where we could not lock for safety, they were eventually moved to another room. For the fairness to the hotel, the gentleman at the front desk who appeared to be the owner was very friendly.

2022-04-12Great place. Some reviews indicate bedbugs, etc, but during my stays I have not experienced anything like that. Very clean and dignified rooms in my opinion, for a price that no one in the area competes with.

2022-05-07Very friendly staff. The rooms I stayed in however lacked any modern comforts. The first thing I noticed after walking in was the floor, it was tile! Uuuggh!!! Its 2022 time for an update(carpeting) in the resting area. Then I was very dissatisfied with the television and signal. The TV was made in the century before this one and it had a terrible signal from the cable. Most channels had snowy lines across it, and other channels would go in and completely out every few seconds. I was impressed with the Wi-Fi signal. They have multiple options for Wi-Fi throughout the complex. I was very happy with the way the rooms were cleaned and very happy with the kind service that was provided. The exterior couldve been cleaned up a bit as there was a lot of trash on the grounds. Overall I was happy with the price and service, and the cleanliness of the rooms. I was less than pleased with the cold tile floor in the main sleeping area, and the TV and cable signal were below satisfactory. I gave 2 stars because theres nothing in between 2 and 3 stars, I didnt necessarily dislike the stay, but it was not quite ok as far as the ratings system goes.

2022-04-06Stayed 03/30/22. Bedding had blood on it. Didn’t use their blankets. Just had to take my daughter today to the doctor for a “rash”…. She has scabies. Do not stay at this place.

2022-02-25I do not recommend staying here. Lights barely worked, cable TV had so much static I had to watch my phone for entertainment. Mildrew smell, tile floor wet from moisture in the air, when I arrived. All-around negative.
