This company has the worst customer service. Contracted them to plow the snow. They were never on time, on occasions our driveway wasn’t clean even until 5 pm despite multiple calls. Every time we called, they would get defensive and argue. Hoping to get our experience out there so people can read this and spare themselves he headache and frustration.
After waiting patiently for three months for a spring cleanup (signed up on February and waited until June), I called and asked when we could expect it to be done. We were told by Gary that our business was not important to them because we were not regular clients, even though we used Eastside Landscaping for Snow Removal this last winter. (The snow removal was mediocre at best.)
I just missed 1/2 day of work after having to shovel over a foot of snow of my driveway. I feel like i paid a service for nothing. This season there were only 2 days when i couldve used the snow plowing service and they failed to come on both occasions. They did however plow my next door neighbor who uses the same service. Very unhappy and dissatisfied with the service. The guy in the office offered an apology, but his apology doesnt clear my driveway
I return from vacation and my driveway was not plowed completely due to my house guest parking in the driveway.I called Eastside landscaping explaining the situation.Even though they did not have a crew out.The owner came out to plow.Much appreciated from a senior citizen and customer of Eastside landscaping
Love working with Eastside, been with them for years. They are very reliable in summer and winter, with snow removal. They make my property look beautuful! This year I added treatment for the lawn and after oly 2 treatments, my lawn makes me smile when I come in the driveway!
The landscapers blocked my mailbox with their rig when they were working on a large project. After several days, when I asked them to move they refused and said the mailman could get out of his truck! (The postal service told me that mailman are not permitted to exit their truck unless they are delivering a package.) I spoke to the homeowner and the parking was not a problem for several days. Then again my mailbox was blocked. Which is one thing. What disturbed me was they argued with me about whether they should move the truck and again had suggestions for what the mailman could do to solve the problem! Eventually they did move it but only after extremely rude remarks. Would never hire or recommend them.
Used them for years. Always good. NOT in 2018. Never at my house when I leave for work. Snarky guy on the phone always say they are great and abiding by the contract which will be my last with them. Every other driveway on my street is plowed except for the houses with blue stakes.AVOID!!!
Id give them 3.75....our first time with them; know a co-worker who has used them happily for years. The issue is like so many companies, and the nature of the beast called winter: theyre hired to remove the snow, not clean dry driveways...and they cant be everywhere at once. From the consumer perspective one expects them to do the job theyve been paid for. In our case, with two elder retired people in the house, I think they felt they could slack off on the time it was done...however 1. the elder regularly is up and out by 9 AM to volunteer at Meals on Wheels and 2. an adult child in the home has a job with a slightly later start time who also has to get to work. That said, they have been very helpful with some challenges: there was an unfortunate delay in sending the check for the contract to begin with...so when we were hit with the first snowfall, and I learned this looking out on an unplowed drive...we were able to put the fee on a credit card and had service in a reasonable time span, all things considered. The other time we had to leave very early for an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic, and although I never got a call back or response to the message I left, the driveway was well cleared before we had to leave which was most appreciated.Candace who answers the phone every time Ive had to call has been very sweet and understanding.
I called today 11/30/20 to ask about plowing services. The person answering the phone was rude. He said the routes in my area were closed there is nothing to do i asked to speak to another person as i thought he was not helpful and he refused.service is poor, communication was poot.

2022-06-03Very unpleasant experience. We contracted in April 2022 for lawn service, spring clean-up, and mulching. As of June 3, we have not had the clean-up or the mulching and have been given vague information every time we have inquired. The mowing has been fairly good in the main areas, but they have ignored some of the patches on our lawn and have done no edging.I had several email exchanges with Lisa, the office manager, to get a handle on when they would provide an estimate for the mulching and when they would get to the spring clean-up. Her email response time has been excellent, but it never got anywhere; it kept getting pushed off and pushed off with no commitment to get it done in a reasonable time. After several requests to have a call from a manager, I finally today got a voicemail from Gary (who I assume is the owner or a manager). When I called him back, he said he was calling because I had asked for a call back but took no responsibility for the problems weve experienced. His attitude suggested that he was going through the motions of returning my call, and when I expressed dissatisfaction about it, he said I was talking down to him because Im an attorney and hes a landscaper, and suggested I should be thinking instead about the children killed in the latest school shooting. (Believe me, I think about those children constantly, but I fail to see what that has to do with landscaping or why he threw it into the conversation.) There were suggestions that their staffing is challenging due to COVID, which is certainly something I can understand, but the tone was simply unprofessional and in every failed the age-old maxim, the customer is always right. It seems the times are very stressful for Gary, and I get that too. But he needs a better outlet for it than lambasting customers. The right way to handle this situation would have been: Hi, Im Gary from Eastside Landscaping, and I understand we have not been providing you the level of service you expected and that we strive to deliver. Im very sorry about that. How can we remedy it?There was nothing like that. Instead, he seemed annoyed that a customer expressed dissatisfaction. So we agreed to part ways.Bottom line: do not use Eastside Landscaping if you value prompt service and courteous communication. I realize now that there are several bad reviews on Google (focusing on the poor and rude communication), so Im just adding mine to the list. I wish I had checked before. Doesnt seem they care enough about these consistent bad reviews to change their ways--they prefer instead just to insult and blame the customer.

2022-02-01I had been looking for a new snow plow co after my regular guy retired and after a couple years of dealing with awful services I called Eastside Landscaping and so glad I did! I had always noticed Eastsides trucks in my neighborhood plowing but for whatever reason I didnt hire them until this season. So far they have serviced my house exactly as they promised and above and getting in and out of our driveway in a snowstorm has never been easier! I highly recomend this company.

2022-01-28I can’t imagine a plowing company being worse than this one. Apparently they don’t seem to care about bad reviews. There are just so many, but if it helps in saving someone headache and money, I’ll add my review in now. Need to find someone that does the job and does it well.

2022-01-22These guys do a great job. When I called about a couple of small issues after our recent snowmageddon, a real live person answered the phone and the problems were fixed very quickly. I highly recommend their snow plow service.

2021-11-02Have been customers since 2007, even though we werent thrilled with their timing. My husband usually had to shovel a path himself, for his car to get out of drive for work. But last year, we had a huge snow, and our side of the street lost electric. My husband had to do his work on zoom from car battery in garage. I was trapped in. We called, were told theyre one block away, and 3 hrs later, nothing! Dont know why, but when we got their flyer again, I just paid it, and prayed. They called to say it was a mistake, they dont want our business, they didnt like frantic tone of my voice! She said were bad customers!!!! Argh!!

2021-02-04This is the worst snow ploughing company that I have had to deal with - if you want to pay someone to plough your driveway and do it yourself anyway - this is the way to go.They will try to find any and every reason in the book to try and not come to clean your driveway. There were 2 occasions with snow storms when their drivers who apparently were ploughing all day and all night showed up at 6 pm to clean my driveway after I called 4 times.Their contract says that they will make every attempt to clean by 7 am - in fact they make every attempt to not clean the driveway at all.Office staff is extremely rude, especially the owner (Jim) and the manager (Gary). Gary talks to you as though he is doing you a huge favor by cleaning your driveway despite having charged for it at the beginning of the season. It is funny how every other snow ploughing company in my neighborhood measures snow as 2 inches and more and clean their driveways but when I call eastside, they say it has not snowed at all and per their measurement (!), they wont come to clean. I have had to email them pictures of my driveway and even then no luck.I want to make everyone aware of the terrible service they provide - please see the attached picture of my driveway that these guys said is not enough snow to clean and decide for yourself.

2021-03-16Last year was our first year for our yard with Eastside Landscaping. Couldnt be happier. Our lawn never looked more green, more full, and more cared for ... even when I was doing all the work. Our planting beds and edging look great. Today was the first day of spring cleaning for 2021 and the crew just left. Such a nice day that we went for a walk and upon returning have to say that out yard looks the best in the neighborhood!

2019-11-15I spoke with their booking department last Monday (11/4) morning to get setup for snowplowing service, sent in the payment last Wednesday (11/6), and they called me last Thursday (11/7) morning saying they couldnt fit me in.If you speak to someone, and you and they make an agreement on a service, you should be put unto the list, unless if you dont pay. And they gave NO indication on the first call that I would need to send in payment ASAP or else lose my spot.I definitely would not recommend this company.

2019-04-25Really atrocious experience with these guys. We had used them for a couple of years for snow-plowing and found them perfectly great. We moved to a new house and wanted to add some services and everything immediately went to h***. We had to call them 4 times over a month to get a quote for lawn-mowing. Then an additional 3 times to try and get them to do a spring clean-up at our new and old property, because they had missed this part of the order. The first time we called they admitted they lost track of our order. Okay, no big deal. Then the next time, they got confused on all of the details of the clean-up, and they did the absolute worst clean-up you could imagine. It looked like about 30 minutes of work. Our beds were full of leaves. They put the debris by our street although we specifically asked them to dump in our woods in backyard. Just a really, really rotten job. In addition they literally only mowed half our yard. Truly bizarre. Called again and they just hung up on us. My advice: Avoid.
