More of like Eastgate Hood. I’ve had my gas tank siphoned on multiple occasions, had my catalytic converter stolen. for a place that has residents pay over $800 a month there should be security cameras to ensure that our vehicles are not vandalized in any way shape and form. Go up to the office to make a report and asked was just told “that sucks” is very annoying. Constantly seeing notes in the laundry room on how someone has bed bugs. Everything break what seems like every five minutes surely isn’t worth all the stress and the headache.
Submitted a ticket for a slight leak in my cold water faucet on a Tuesday morning. Literally a few hours later the maintenance worker was in there working on it. He knocked it out super fast and did it all without getting into the pipes or turning off all the water.super friendly too.
DONT MOVE HERE.i have a friend on multiple occasions where management ILLEGALLY entered her apartment.they are also threatening to illegally enter my apartment as the lease states there has to be a walk though the apartment before you move out. which im not opposed to. HOWEVER they want to do this walk through 2 MONTHS before my move out date. in the lease it clearly states it has to be at least 1 week before move out. it states nothing about the walk through being 2 months before moving out.staff is incredibly rude all the time and never willing to help.maintenance couldnt even put my new fridge together correctly, i had to fix it after they left.and the mold in my bathroom they fixed comes back regularly.dont move here unless you want management breaking the law and entering your apartment without permission and useless management/maintenance.
There use to be a 3 strike your out rule here. but the complex doesnt care if neighbors are fighting at 3 am or dog barks all hours of the night. as long as they make the rent on time thats all they care about. ive lived here for over 20 years. it never use to be this bad. but its cheaper than most i will say that. i cant afford to move either.
Great location. Parking lot is illuminated at night and feels very secure. The maintenance team has consistently provided top notch service. The parking lot and sidewalks were well maintained over the winter months. Office staff is responsive and friendly.Cincinnati Bell is your best option for Internet service. Their offering has plenty of bandwidth for Internet TV and working from home. The other provider, CCI, is NOT stable enough for a student or work from home situation.Resident since 11/21
I have now lived here seven years. They believe demand is up, so they mowed lawns, constant repainting outside, and power washed buildings to look nice enough to move people in. But the insides arent worth the new higher prices. 2022 prices for a 90s apartment. Hopefully when I move out they update my unit. The maintenance men are great but overworked. So I make multiple requests that go unanswered. Then they get rush fixed, until a bigger problem comes up. Maintenance men are mainly used to keep the appearance up. I cannot state this enough, the maintenance crew is amazing! But the management for them could improve. This place has so much potential to be good. It can be a good enough for now place. But the core here needs some work. They were on the up and up when I moved in. The area is growing rapidly. And the core of this place couldnt keep up. Instead of staying a comfortable, cozy, and affordable safe haven, they became about appearances and wanting to appear luxury. They need long term changes to keep long term residents. I want to say more nice things about them! There have been good times here, and bad. Maybe I expect too much. Will update later after my lease finished and I am moved out with how they handled that process.
I am a current tenant and most of the reviews are correct! The staff here and maintenance are great! They work hard usually are understaffed but still do a great job. The apartments are well-kept and I love mine and most of the neighbors aren’t too loud anymore like it was like 10 years ago. Truly, a lot has changed here and it’s a beautiful complex, My only complaint is the actual main office. You must interact with them usually regarding money or any larger issues and that’s when it’s downhill. They’re mostly money hungry, don’t really care about the issues and aren’t particularly friendly. It’s a shame because everything is so great at the actual apartment and then these people come in and don’t even live in the state of Ohio and make all the rules and decisions - having no actual knowledge. Otherwise I’d recommend! I just resigned my lease for the year and as long as I don’t have to interact with Edward & Sons I’m excited!
We have lived here for many years and have had nothing but a great experience with the office and maintenance staff. Of course, with any living space, issues do arise from time to time, but their maintenance staff are very prompt about fixing issues and the office staff have always been pleasant and helpful.
Cute little apartments & you get what you pay for. Had a lot of things break/ carpet was disgusting when moved in but I’m a clean freak & cleaned it up. Shower has been leaking since I moved in. Maintenance told me I wasn’t turning it off correctly yet somehow they never turned it off either, so I have water constantly running. Put in a request to get my AC unit fixed, been sweating for two weeks and when I call I’m told “they will get to you”. Pretty upsetting. Definitely moving out when my lease is up.
Havent had hot water since May (its now August) maintenance has come out about 3 times. Apparently some switch keeps flicking off and basically the entire building is only running off 1 heater. Cant seem to get anyone to fix the actual issue. Literally have to BOIL water on the stove just to take a hot bath. Cant seem to get anyone out here to actually fix this issue.
Ive enjoyed living at Eastgate Woods for the last 15 years. I live in an efficiency apartment by myself. Its plenty of room for one person. I especially enjoy the maintenance staff. When I call for repairs, theyre fast, efficient and friendly as is the office staff. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
I moved here after a breakup and moving from the much higher-priced apartments next door. It is an attractive community and it doesnt seem to need much electricity to maintain it. Maintenance issues are handled quickly following a request. The neighborhood is quiet and there seemed to be no children in the area where I live. The pets are also quiet. The location is convenient to shopping, restaurants, and is close to an interstate highway. Main complaint is that sometimes I dont get much or specific notice of maintenance work that would inconvenience me. I also dont like the way that rent has gone up every year except two of the many years Ive been here - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
The apartments are pretty mediocre. Dont expect much. Keep expectations low and youll be ok.In terms of communication and a level of any sort of competent service from the staff, its non existent.I went months with flickering lights before anyone did anything to fix the situation. I was told to just keep calling maintenance every time it happened when this is a problem that occurred every 10-15 minutes. But without electricity it was like camping indoors! So it was TONS of fun! /sLoud neighbors or dogs that bark for hours on end non stop? No response from management.Need to have a valuable package picked up or dropped off at the office? No chance.Rent was raised during the middle of the pandemic. I inquired as to what extra amenities I would be receiving for my increased rent and was told it was actually a GOOD thing my rent was only being raised a little. Because if I was a new tenant my rent would be even higher! So I should just feel blessed I guess.Find someplace else to live.
Ive lived in these apartments since 2011. The staff has always been friendly and quick to answer any questions I have. The maintenance staff is quick to address the few issues Ive had (maybe a couple a year). The grounds are maintained and theyre always working to improve the buildings and parking lots. So, I feel like some of my rent money is being used to improve the property. While my rent has gone up a bit every year, its still less than just about anywhere else Ive checked in the area and, from talking to people whove lived in other apartment complexes, I feel like I get more service for my money here.
Ive been in my apartment for a little under a month now and I have no complaints thus far! The maintenance staff, especially Dave, has been really incredible and has taken care of every request, no matter the severity of it, quickly and proficiently. I live on the second floor and havent heard any of my neighbors yet! (no loud music, no heavy food steps, no yelling kids) So far, so good!
I originally had a different review than what I am about to post, but we had an issue with a neighbor using drugs and potentially hardcore drugs in their apartment. Once we fought for a while to get this taken care of, the issue is being handled. Im not thrilled about how long it took to get it handled, but Im glad it did. The apartment I live in is outdated and not really worth my monthly rent in my opinion, but it gets me by until I am able to move out.
Ive lived here since 2013. When I moved in my apartment was very clean and well maintained. The rent is low and with the utilities other than electric bundled into I’m paying a lot less that my coworkers. Any maintenance requests have been acted on swiftly and it is a common thing to see people maintaining the grounds. Overall I found the experience to be far better than I expected for my first apartment on my own.
Worst apartment ever, i would give no star if theres option. They allowed upstairs to do drug/marijuana, the stink filled up our full apartment through bathroom vent. After a few months tolerance and complaining, the mananger and maintenance didnt help. Our lease ended in october, they did not allow us to move out in September without penalty. Moreover, they found any way to not give deposit back, they expected the apartment stay like new after 2 years living. One more thing, the pool guard did not let our family in with excuse of thunder(lie). But a few minutes later, she let other families in. We asked for explanation, the manager didnt help.
Im not saying everyone here is a cheap, discourteous, lacking in hygiene piece of fecal matter. Im forced to come here regularly and seven out of ten times driving food here. The people wait to answere. Then dont tip.Wt. Not tipping is fine but dont make me knock and wait then call sent to voice mail then text finally you open the door and say oh hurry its cold. To top it all off you pay $19.47 and say the rest is yours. I say no if it dont fold I dont need it have a night.
I lived here for 5 years. The maintenance staff was awesome and always got things done either the day it was reported or the next day. The grounds were well kept, the lot was updated regularly, the facades were in a constant state of perfection, and the men and women working here are always polite. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an apartment!
I really like living here. The office staff, the grounds crew and the maintenance staff are just wonderful. They are caring and get things done in a timely manner. In other words, they take very good care of us. I have lived here for about 12 years and I am just so glad that I moved here.
I’ve been living here since August 2019, and I love it. I haven’t had any problems and the girls at the office have been nice to me anytime I’ve interacted with them. I actually sent a message on Facebook last night about wanting to get the Internet available through the complex, and they contacted me today via phone to setup an appointment. Thanks for the speedy response! I will most likely be renewing my lease come August. If you’re interested in living here, go ahead and call and setup an appointment for a showing. You won’t be disappointed! :)
I have lived here for a little over a year and have already started contemplating a way to end our lease early. The staff is kind but there is a huge lack of communication. We have had to call maintenance over 5 times in the past year because our A/C does not work and leaks water all over the floor. This is very frustrating when I have very severe allergies, that I take multiple prescribed medications for, and can not open a window for relief from the heat of my home when it becomes 80 degrees inside and it takes multiple days for them to fix the issue each time. If I cannot live comfortably in my own home, that is an issue.
We moved here in January and have had a pretty good experience so far! We did some pretty hard apartment searching trying to find a place that was budget friendly yet also nice. We have a dishwasher, a huge pantry to store food, and a balcony. Our bedroom is big enough to fit both of our dressers, while the second bedroom makes a great study/office where each of us has our own workstation. I love how quiet is is here after living in the city for years!
Ive lived at Eastgate woods for about a year and a half now and I like it for a starter home for just my boyfriend and I. The rent is very affordable and we enjoy our cozy, clean apartment. I like that its very close to the library and a Kroger store. The laundry facilities stay very clean and Ive never had a problem with it being too busy or dirty to use. I only had to call maintenance once for a leak and they came the day after and fixed the problem quickly. For the most part it is a quiet place to live, although I unfortunately acquired upstairs neighbors that have what sounds like medium sized boxer type dogs that bark and howl occasionally, however Im an animal lover so I cant bring myself to say anything.
Eastgate Woods is ok if you are looking for a cheap place to live for maybe a year or two. But if you plan on being a long term resident, I suggest you look elsewhere. The best way I can describe the apartments is a step up from low income housing, but nowhere near luxury apartments. With that being said, they will start your rent out low, but every time you renew your lease, they will increase the rent SIGNIFICANTLY. Ive lived here 3 years. After the first year, they raised the rent $10. No big deal. Last year they upped the rent $30, and now, I received a renewal letter for this year...raising it another $30. The complex has been the same since I have lived here. No major improvements. This place is average, but for some reason they are raising the rates to that of a luxury complex. Unless you need something cheap right away, I would suggest looking somewhere else because there are plenty of nicer places and youll end up paying the higher price anyways if you live here more than 1 year.
I currently live here and I had a wonderful experience, thus far. Staff is always nice and eager to answer all my questions. Management has always been helpful. I recommend living here, all the time for first time renters. I, myself, too are a first time renter. The apartments are out dated and becoming too small for my family, but for single couples and single living they are great!I have had an incident with a neighbor recently and management handled it perfectly.
I really like this place. The location is fabulous if you like being next to the mall and other shopping and restaurants. Youre also close to the highway. I think the office staff is very polite and helpful. They always greet me when I come in and make it feel very personnel. It feels like home here to me. These are older buildings so of course you will see some aging but overall considering they have been around my whole life they are very well maintained to look this good and be 40+ years old. This feels like a community here and not a complex. I love all the trees and for me again the location is perfect. I would recommend my friends and family to live here.
Ive lived here for almost 2 weeks and already in love with the area. Not only is it a calm, quiet, relaxing area but I feel very welcome with the help of my neighbors and awesome staff! Once I turned in my maintenance report it was completed in less than 2 hours!! (My previous living situation was no were near that) the club house staff are wonderful while helping me make my decision to move here and I am so thankful i did.
We love living here! We had our doubts about applying, but after we saw our new apartment we were sold. Our apartment is very spacious, and was newly renovated! We have new carpet, fresh paint, new doors, and a new fridge! We also got to meet the owner after we signed our lease, he was very courteous and said if we had any problems to contact him directly. Really nice apartments, for a decent price!
We lived here for a year now and I absolutely love it and so does my cat Noah and every time I need maintenance there right on top of it. Ive never had a problem I think they do a great job to keep the grounds clean the staff were nice and polite. We absolutely love living here and we are grateful thank you
I drive through this property regularly. The property is kept clean and the buildings are kept in good repair. You dont see trash laying around or broken down vehicles like you see in other complexes. The clubhouse and pool area look like a great place to hang out. Keep up the good work!
Upon my 2009 move-in, things started out great, Rent was reasonable, Staff was always concerned with keeping the Residents happy. However, over the past 5 years, Rent increases have frequently become far too high, placing a burden on those of us who are Disabled, unable to work, surviving only on Social Security. No new amenities have been added ... In fact, the only amenity we DID have was recently stripped from our daily Summer routines; Since moving here on June 25, 2009, every day during the Summer, many Neighbors and myself have always enjoyed the Pool, soaking up the sun, relaxing and lounging on our Pool Floats. For twelve wonderful years, this was the ONE amenity we all anxiously awaited, and could always count on, but in Mid-June, 2020, for no reason, this came to an abrupt halt. Considering there were VERY few Residents who even used the Pool Monday through Friday, usually FIVE Residents or less per day, this truly made very little sense, it was just plain sad. Most Eastgate Woods Residents were busy working 9 to 5 ... Far too busy to spend time at the Pool ... Other than the higher Rent increases, I truly do enjoy living at Eastgate Woods, BUT... without being able to use our Pool Floats, we just wont be able to enjoy our future Summers. As Senior Citizens, this was one of the few ways we comfortably could be active, get outside, look forward to meeting new people and making lasting friendships ... = (
Such personable maintenance staff that do a great and efficient job. Leasing agents are generally pleasant to deal with. Apartments are spacious and clean but outdated.Internet is slow and expensive for what you receive. I have been here less than a week with not one full day of accurate and consistent internet. Cabling has been changed and currently attempting a new modem to resolve issues...crossing my fingers this works as I work from home and rely on high speed internet to work.
Eastgate woods has an excellent staff, the noise level is minimal where I live, and the grounds are neatly kept. Whenever I’ve had to put in a maintenance request they came the next day. I’d recommend living here to all my friends if you need a smaller apartment for a fair price.
Eastgate Woods is a wonderful place to call home. It has beautiful grounds. The trees changing in the fall is one of my many favorite things about the property. The office staff has always been so friendly and helpful with any questions or concerns. The maintenance staff has always taken care of maintenance requests in a timely manor. I would highly suggest Eastgate Woods to anyone looking for an apartment home.
Excellent apartments at a great price. The grounds are beautiful, and well kept. Parking is clean. No weird people hanging about. The best thing I like is the peace and quiet, and the location in Eastgate is the icing on the cake. Everything you could think of is close by. This is 10 steps above from where I was living last in inner city Cincy. I got the Eastgate woods internet and it has the best speed in the area- and works equally well. Five stars from me!
Comfy living space, convenient, economical, friendly, easy to afford and manage with the most necessary amenities included. Nothing to complain about. Close to nature environment while still having access to the town and other convenient locations. Quiet, serene, un-bothered. All around my taste and luxury.
This is by far the worst place to ever stay in Ohio. The manager is unorganized and her employees have no understanding of people skills. The office workers are completely idiotic and never have a clear answer while the maintenance staff doesnt understand the concept of common curtesy.
I have lived here twice within the last 5 years. The staff is generally helpful and responds well to issues raised. The only complaint Ive had is noise complaints take awhile to resolve, if at all. I wont remove a star for this because it wasnt a huge issue. Otherwise its a decent community to live in and I would move there again if I needed too.
The ladies in the office are very helpful and professional. This place has a nice size pool that is perfect for summertime fun. The location itself is near the Eastgate Mall area which makes it enjoyable. I highly recommend Eastgate Woods Apartments. Especially if it is your first time getting your own place!
Not bad for the starting price. Great to get on your own and start building experience dealing with rent, power Etc.I would HIGHLY recommend Dave for any maintenance calls. Dave was always nice and friendly. However, Brian (possibly the Supervisor at the time) told the office My Fiancés and I apartment was trashed with holes in the walls, which started from confusion of pets in our unit we later resolved. We were then told that they wouldn’t be renewing our lease (they didn’t wanna say Evict) and I had to leave work to console my fiancé who was on the verge of a a Panic Attack (She suffers Seizures) who was crying. I had to fight to get the Manager Gary to come inspect our apartment, as he did, and he found nothing wrong. He apologized but I can’t just let that be forgiven and forgotten. I hope they got rid of Brian or promoted Dave. The ladies in the office are all so friendly as well.P.S.Family who use to live on property failed to mention she never registered unlicensed pets my wife was watching for a few hours. This is what led to it all. Got no warning, just informed we wernt gonna be renewed. Very quick and harsh for a mistake anyone can make. Never tried to avoid the hole in the bifold door because it was an accident, and accidents happen. I pointed it out first thing during inspection and made aware I knew I’d be paying. No word ever of odors, Didn’t leave cause I felt an impression of being “Evicted”, because there wasn’t any issues. Our apartment was the same when inspected after the ordeal as it was the time we moved in. We take pride in sanitation of where we sleep and eat. My review is to keep anyone aware of a major incident that was resolved because there was never an issue. I lived here 3 years and that was my only complaint. A big complaint and issue I want no one else to have, but again, my only complaint.
I was a great and very clean tenant! I repeat, VERY tidy and kept my apartment in tip top shape through my year as a tenant. I even had my carpet professionally cleaned before I moved out. I paid for a new carpet at the time of move in. Upon moving out at the end of my lease, instead of getting my deposit back, I received an itemized bill with FRAUDULENT accusations of damaged carpet and walls in the amount of $600 DOLLARS!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE! All of the doors, windows, and bathroom utilities form mold and there is nothing that you can do about it! They will not fix the problem and it is literally detrimental to your health. Some of the tenants are loud and drunken. Others are junkies. You really get what you pay for.
Well let’s see where should I start 🤔, my wife and I found bed bugs in the apartment. We are a clean and bed bug free couple soon to find out that they were infested with them next door and there was never a notice. My wife paid the last rent with a money order and it was stolen along with other residents money orders and that isn’t our fault but they act like it is. So they put an eviction notice by our door that said we have to leave in 3 days but we paid!!!! They wanted us to pay $800 buy out fee which they are never getting. So after being out 2 months we get a letter in the mail that says we have to pay $4,235.80Which they will also never get. This place is a joke and greedy and just don’t live here you’ll regret it.They are two faced liars
Honestly I feel we have gotten everything we paid for. The apartments are not luxurious or super updated but they have everything we need! Water is free, sewage is free and our electric and wifi has been reliable and inexpensive. We have not personally had any issues with neighbors except for our bedroom smelling like weed and stail cigarettes but thats not the apartments fault, thats our downstairs neighbors smell coming through the vent. We havent complained to or about our neighbors so maybe thats a little bit our fault. Also while you can have pets its a bit of an expensive ordeal but thats the case in almost any apartment. Hope this helps any future tenants with their decisions!
This was my first apartment after college and had a great experience for the price. I was skeptical because it was cheap and I had never rented before, but ended up getting great value. Everything worked, people were nice, and it is very inexpensive.. The internet is definitely below average, and I would not recommend getting the internet that is provided through the apartment complex. Other than that I loved the complex!
The pricing, and apartment itself was good. I moved 30 minutes out from my job, and everyone I knew, to find a decent, but affordable place, but when it came to me moving out, I cleared everything, and vacuumed, and paid my $400 fee, just for them to keep a little over $100 of it, for something they should have done anyways, prior to someone moving in. It were small, normal, ware and tear on the carpet, from my baby, after a year of me being there, which were only a couple, because I am a cautious kind of person, and dont want my carpet to be stained or dirty, while me staying there. I think it makes no sense of how everything went down, about the carpet, let alone, all the days, of inconvenience theyve caused me, for the water being out, multiple different times, and yet again, with a baby. At this point, Im unhappy, but was satisfied with the look, and price.
I have had a terrible experience since Ive moved in.To start, the layout of the apartment I was given is nothing like the one I viewed. Their response was, you can wait until one come available that was the layout you viewed. I already moved out and had a truck full of my belongings there, so that wasnt really an option. Now, I have been without the Internet, that I am paying for them to supply, for two months. They are not going to issue a refund, and their response is essentially its not our fault. The cost of these apartments are not worth the headaches associated with them.
Worst place ever. My girlfriend applied for a 1 bedroom. Failing to neglect that they require you to have a gross income of over 5 times the apartment cost! They accept her application and accept her fee. Then say you need a Co signer that also needs to make over 5 times the rent price and has good credit. All for a 600 Sq foot apartment. This place has been the worst application experience I have ever encountered. I have great credit but dont make 24 dollars an hour. They told me to not even fill it out. They just took her money and left us out to dry.UPDATE: 1-7-18: They never reached back.... Still giving this place a thumbs down.... Sorry, not sorry...
It’s just Meh to be honest we’re coming up on our year and we just don’t feel like this is a good fit for us, the price is okay but that price comes with a big underlying issue, the handles on the sliding doors are so weak that if you pull they bend out meaning you need to now have them replaced to get your deposit. After a year of living in our apartment from natural time while showing our bathroom walls are now peeling and cracking when we moved in there were a few issues that were fixed and after 3 days here we got flooded by a pipe that burst in the handy man room next to our apartment but when the carpet guy came he made us leave big machines plugged in that drastically increased our first electric bill. We have painted the living room and the size is okay but when summer comes prepare your pockets for the ac bill as all the doors and windows seem to leak air like crazy our front door is so loose that when the wind blows you can feel it come In and move our door and we’re in the back of a hallway. But again is a cheap price. Price and location are great but if you’re moving in take note that the numbers at the beginning of your apartment number is the order in which your building was made 3010 is building 3 built some years ago while 1310 is building 13 built recent. Not all apartments can have satellite tv as well you have to be in one that either connects to the big dishes outside or can place one on your porch so if you face the woods no dice.
I have lived at Eastgate Woods for about 17 years. I love to sit out on my patio and enjoy the beautiful trees and the squirrels. I like the location, its close to everything I need. The people that work here are nice and the service I receive is great. Thank you for always helping me when I need you.
They just want the $100 application fee. They dont want to hear about your problems or help you in any way. My advice would be if you dont have immaculate credit, do not apply at this place. There are so many other places that will work with you and they are more helpful then this property.
I dont usually post reviews, but this has been the worst apartment experience I have ever had. When I moved in the apartment was infested with fleas from the previous owner and Eastgate Woods did the absolute bare minimum to help get rid of them with once a week treatment that I had to continuously call and make an appointment. It has been about a month and I had to postpone fully unpacking and moving in because it was so overrun with fleas. On top of that I had to buy additional pesticides to help get rid of them and treatment for the flea bites. Eastgate Woods never followed up on how the treatment was going, nor did they offer to prorate my rent or reimburse any of my expenses. I would strongly not recommend Eastgate Woods.
I have lived in Eastgate Woods for over five years. The staff is welcoming and the complex is professionally run. The office staff is gracious. Maintenance requests are handled efficiently and in a timely manner. This is a very large complex and the grounds are beautifully kept. There are lots of trees and plantings to enhance the grounds. Shopping and leisure activities are only a short drive away. I am content here. This is home!
Charge way too much for how not great they are. One bedrooms started out at 430 a month when I first moved in 3 years ago and now I see they start at almost $600 a month. Apartments have window air conditioning units and baseboard heating. What a joke. Apartments mold easily and are severely outdated. Also your internet choices are nonexistent. You can either get unusable Cincinnati bell zoomtown or pay $50 a month for Eastgate woods internet with speeds of 20mpbs down. Stay away if you can but if you cant, dont stay more than a year.
I lived in Eastgate Woods for 2 years. I had no real complaints until I began packing my things to move out and I discovered a massive mold problem. It was in the carpet under some furniture I had. It was on walls in my bedroom behind my bed, desk, and in my closet. It was all over the underside of my bed frame, the back of my desk, a picture frame that had been on the wall, all over the back and bottom of two bookshelves, and so on. It was everywhere. I took pictures of everything, cleaned what I could, and threw out what I couldnt clean, which was basically all my furniture. After submitting a claim to Eastgate Woods, along with pictures, a full description of the problem, and the list of items for which I demanded reimbursement, I waited about six weeks for an answer. They are now asking me to provide receipts for everything I lost (an extremely unreasonable request), pictures of everything (which I already sent), and proof that Eastgate Woods caused the problem (which is evident from the pictures I sent). The amount I demanded was significantly less than what I feel is owed, as I did not list every individual item that I lost. It is clear to me that this company cares only about the money and nothing more. According to another resident, this mold issue has been a problem for many years and has not been properly fixed. This was the first apartment I ever lived in, and I am beyond disappointed in the way it turned out.
I enjoy living here except ive seen 2 maintenance workers smoking off a foil with a straw while they were repairing a deck!!! I talked to my neighbor and she said she’s seen them doing it before too. I pay a lot of money to live here , I’d rather my kids not see things like that. I’ve called the office and told them but nothing has changed. If I see this again I’m reporting them to OSHA myself.
So for a week now, they have had the first slab of concrete dug up at the bottom of the stairs leading up to my building! A simple task youd think would take 2 days to complete has taken a week!I have to walk through the grass to bypass their disaster! While that seems innocent, it is everything but! It has been raining for the past two days, so the harmless grass is not so harmless! Its a slight slope, and with the rain comes mud! I have slid in the mud twice now, once was with my 7 month old baby in my arms! I think it is ridiculous that it has taken so long for one simple task to get done! Not only that but the parking back here is horrendous!!! I feel as though some tenants have 3 or 4 cars a PIECE!! I know there isnt assigned parking but I think its absurd that I have to walk from 2 sometimes even 3 buildings down just to get to my building! I work into the middle of the night and when Im crossing that parking lot alone at 4 a.m. I do not feel safe what so ever!Other than parking issue and slow construction durations, its a decent and quiet place to live for the most part. Been here a year now, but we are still debating on whether or not to sign on for another year 🤔
The price is okay for what you get. I dont mind living here, its close to a lot of places and the staff is friendly and they keep up with things. Great for your first apartment. The one thing that bugs me is that you can only go through the apartments internet or Cincinnati bell and the max amount of speed you can get is 30 mbps.
My boyfriend has both lived and worked at Eastgate Woods for almost 5 years. Myself for a little over a year. Though he no longer works for them we stayed here. We rarely need to call on maintenance and the staff is always friendly and willing to help. If youre looking for a quiet, friendly environment then I recommend Eastgate woods Apartments. Though there are a few things I think should be worked on its nothing that would be a deal breaker and nothing you wouldnt find at any other apartment. The pros out weight the cons by a long shot!
They try and bribe you for a good rating. They hung a paper up asking for a good review then you win 100 bucks. This is an updated review. There should be 0-5 ratings. This place is disgusting. First off this place is a danger to your health. The window sills are covered in mold that have constantly been painted over. The a.c units have been unusable for months because the inside of them are coated with mold. When it gets just a little warmer out, pests love finding their way into your apartment. Wasps love my daughters room because they have the air vent that leads right outside and thats always a fun thing to walk into her room and find 4 wasps in my 5 month old daughters room. Now when its just gets a little humid, ants love crawling through the electric outlets that are barely screwed into the wall. Ive been shocked mutiple times by the kitchen lightswitch because its not properly screwed into the wall. The reviews that are good about this place, are a lie. Please stay away, would not recommend this place to anyone.
I really like this place because it is so close to Eastgate. I work right in Eastgate so I dont have a long commute. I really love it back here maintinance is really great. They fix everything at my moms when she calls it in she never has to weight. We have lived here for a really long time and have nothing we do not like here. I would suggest everyone to live here I love this place Im never leaving.
I’ve lived here for so many years I seem to have lost count. The personal here are very friendly and helpful. One person in particular, Devan, seems to go above and beyond to help me when I need it. If I have any questions or concerns I like to go to her for help. She makes me feel at ease and very approachable. Which is great when you have really bad anxiety.
Ive been debating on whether or not to leave a review on this, since this incident happened a few months ago. Its not a good review, but I feel that people could save themselves a whole lot of stress by reading about my experience, so here it goes: First, let me start off by saying that, at the time, I was really intent on living here, but due to exceptionally unprofessional and rude treatment by an office staff member, as well as a shady policy about carpet replacements, I didnt even apply. The first woman I spoke to was great - she was very open to all my questions and concerns and answered them in a polite, professional manner. When I said I needed time to read over the policies and such, another woman by the name of Angela was appointed to me, since the first woman needed to assist another person, which I completely understood. Heres where it gets ugly. First, apparently Eastgate Woods has a policy in which they dont allow you to pick a more convenient move-in date. She said I could only move into the particular apartment I was looking at on a Monday, but I really didnt want to have to take off work, so I asked if I could move in on the following Saturday, since every other apartment complex representative gave me that option. She responded by stating, You cannot move in before or after this date (she used the specific date, but I dont remember it, exactly). I then asked, So there is no way you can work with me so that I can move in on a more convenient day? And all she said was, You cannot move in before or after this date. Quite bluntly and unnecessarily rudely. No, Im sorry for the inconvenience or anything. Then she brought up the policy about how, if the previous tenants damage the carpet, then an extra charge gets added to your monthly rent. After hearing about this, I stated that I felt like I should take the information home and give it some thought before applying. This made her angry, so she snatched the papers I had out of my hands and went up to the front desk. She then shouted something across the room at me about the apartment policy, but I couldnt hear her because she was talking over another employee who was working with other future residents. I then said, I cant hear what youre saying. Because she was talking over her coworker who was talking to potential residents....This made her really angry, and then Angela proceeded to loudly complain about how I was talking over her in front of myself and other potential residents. Another woman, who was going to sign a lease there, witnessed the whole thing and even turned to me and told me how rude the staff was being to me, and even affirmed that I hadnt done anything wrong. I then decided to politely confront Angela about talking about a customer in front of their face, to which she tried to turn the situation around and act like I was just mad over their policy. While that policy was definitely a red flag to me, I wasnt mad....I simply wanted to go home and search for other options. I wasnt angry until an office worker yelled about me in front of my face as well as other customers. I thought about leaving a complaint for the manager, but after reading years worth of reviews (after the fact) about how poorly managed the complex was, it seemed like they really wouldnt care about my treatment, so I decided to save myself from stress and let it go. Im writing this review now because I see that the owner does reply to some reviews, and I hope they read this and decide to teach their employees not to yell and complain about customers in front of their faces, as well as other potential residents. Not a very good business practice, to say the least.*Edit: So, this place came to mind today, & I decided to check on my review. I see that the company claimed they called me & left numerous voicemails, which is a blatant lie. I was never notified of a single missed call or voicemail from them. Please dont choose to live in this place. The people running it clearly care more about saving face than actually treating people with respect.
Devan in the office was incredible and extremely knowledgeable. She had answers for every question I had. She answered with confidence and great poise. She made me feel at home with zero pressure. By far one of the nicest people I’ve ever had to deal with at any location!
The waiting list is unreal. My application was declined after I paid the $50 deposit. They call you everyday at the most inconvenient times. I work Monday-Friday until 7:30. I do not have time to answer the phone every time they call. So since I wasn’t available to answer my phone, my application got denied. I wouldn’t recommend anyone wasting their time. Unless you’re really desperate, it’s not worth it.
Lived here for 4 years. Had no problems, maintenance was done when needed. This was steal for 1 BR apartment. The apartments are old but in decent condition. They were great for a single person. It is also close to most stores like Kroger, Walmart, Meijer, Sams Club, Jungle Jims and Eastgate shopping mall. It is also very close to I275 and you can get to any part of Cincinnati within 20 minutes. Also there are lot of fast food restaurants in this area or dining just 5 miles from here at Beechmont. Never had any complaints or problems regarding Apartment maintenance.
This community is great choice for residence for the price you pay. I believe it has the cheapest accommodation cost around Milford, Batavia and Amelia and just 3 miles away from the I-275E. The service is timely and also the tenant faces almost no issues for the basic amenities being offered.
I am A current resident going on 3 years here. This morning I was awoken to pounding outside my apartment. I live on the third floor so would not be expecting a man standing on my balcony while I am not dressed. I freaked out and he freaked out. I called the office to find out what is going on. The girl that answered the phone was polite and professional but said hold on and let me get you someone. Then Gary came to the phone, the property manager. This is not the first time I have encountered this man. He is vulgar and unprofessional. Yes I was upset over the incident having been woken up and seeing someone looking in my third floor window, I was not calm but did not expected to get yelled at and cussed at by management. I am a 50 year old adult and to have so one insensitive as to the situation is beyond me. He says he has worked here for 30 years, that may explain why the reviews for this place are always so bad. I asked for the main corporate # and he refused to give it to me and said look it up. Well I did and I will be contacting an atty as well. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I do not want to live in a place that has so little respect for the people that keep them in business.
I live here curently and love my apartment. Everyone is always so nice and friendly and the staff is so kind. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 starts is due to the internet. You are stuck with 30mbs from Cincinnati bell. My boyfriend and I tired to find everyday around it possible and there just isn’t a way. But it’s still very nice :) could use more parking spots XD
I’ve tried so hard to be nice about this but I can’t do it anymore. I can’t wait to be able to afford to leave. This place is sad, ridiculous, and money hungry. Also the internet that a lot of people depend on for their livelihood never works. Rent a house for the same price as a one bedroom that you would get here.
I put in an APP yesterday, I was really hoping to get it. And I was super disappointed when I got the call that I was denied bc of my criminal background, but on the email it said my credit score is too low. My credit score on credit karma is 533. I have school loans that I’m currently working on paying off. It was just a huge disappointment because I really thought I would be able to move in. So now I’ve wasted $50 on an APP fee.
IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD ****DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE! SALES TACTICS HUGE WAIT LIST !!!!!!!!! First off the only time I was called was to collect my $50 application fee. The tactic that was used was youll be further on the wait list. I was called twice, only for that matter; the rest of the time during the application it was me doing and driving to the management office. They didnt pursue me after I paid the $50. I pursued them. Shouldnt be how it works.DO NOT MOVE HERE. The office wants the $50 application fee and then tell you a projected move in date. It does/will not happen they base it off well if this person moves out then it is 8 weeks. They take your money then they say oh well your move in date is 6 weeks, 12 weeks, 18 weeks etc... It is all based on someone deciding to leave. UNACCEPTABLE. Considering LEGAL action for the absolute duress and the lies. TAKERS SHAME ON THIS PLACE! DO THE RIGHT THING AND REFUND ME AND EVERYONE ON THE LIST THEIR APPLICATION FEE!!In response to the owner; I WOULD HAVE NEVER PAID THE $50 IF YOU WERE UP FRONT AND HONEST ABOUT THE LENGTH OF THE LIST! YOU CANNOT SAY OH WE ARE EXPECTING MOVE OUTS NOT GOOD, I CANNOT PREDICT! GIVE ME THE ADDRESS TO SEND LEGAL PAPER WORK SHAME ON THIS COMPANY THIEVES!! DO NOT MOVE HERE DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! REPEAT DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! Made a complaint with the BBB!
This is possibly the worst experience in apartment living that I have ever had. If a problem arises where there are inconsiderate neighbors, complaints go unattended for long periods if not ignored altogether. The emergency numbers provided for these kinds of cases are subject to be unresponsive although it is supposed to be a 24/7 number. For the money its not worth it!
Stay away from this place, don’t even have the energy to go into detail but now that my deposit has been returned to me, just stay away. The only reason they have the reviews that they do is because they do drawings for a free month of rent if you give them a 5-star rating.
This is a follow up of my previous review.I am sort of new at this Facebook stuff and I gave the wrong rating of the eastgate woods apts.I think they are an excellent rating .I give them a 5 star rating. As stated prior to this the front office staff are excellentOne of many positive things is that when ever I go to the office for what ever reason they know me and call me by my first nameThe ladies are professional and polite all the time.i.had to use the maintenance dept a couple times and they were prompt professional and very kind.I recommend the eastgate woods apts to anyone
I no longer live here and i suggest you dont consider it either. Had nothing but trouble from day one. You cant be late on your rent even for a day. Had my roommate just up and move, couldnt live there on my own, got put out, and now im paying unreasonble garnishment out of my checks. THIS PLACE SUCKS
Good luck getting the office staff to do anything about problems you voice, almost like it is an inconvenience for them to handle situations, and the office staff is argumentative more times than not, they have policies in which they do not enforce, and nothing is ever their fault, everything is out of their control per the office manager.

2022-05-05I love this place and sometimes just walk through it thanking God for letting me live in this beautiful apartment. The other residents are so cool. This apartment complex lives up to its name with LOTS of trees. Its pretty quiet here and I feel safe. One of the best things about Eastgate Woods is how quickly they take care of maintenance issues.

2022-02-01My roommate and I were pretty nervous about moving in, but we were pleasantly surprised. The apartment was clean and had a fresh coat of paint and new carpet. When needed, maintenance has been fast and friendly. After about 5 months, we have started noticing cracks in the paint along the corners of some walls. Overall, we have been very satisfied and would recommend this place to others.

2022-03-23What a beautiful community! Such a nice curb appeal that their grounds crew takes great pride in, to the beautiful apartments. To the turnover crew that makes the apartments feel warm and welcoming, to the new residents moving in. And the maintenance that maintain the service on the apartments on a daily. As well as, a warm and welcoming office staff. Thank you all!

2021-09-22I absolutely love living here!!! The staff in the office are great. They are very friendly and they take care of any problems as soon as they arise. The grounds crew does an awesome job keeping the whole community looking great. And the maintenance guys, especially Dave, do a wonderful job when they come to fix any maintenance issue. Dave goes above and beyond when he comes to fix things for me and he always does the job right the first time. He’s the best. The rent is reasonable and the rent increases each year are fair. Also, I am disabled and am unable to take my trash to the dumpster. So each week I set it outside my door and someone from the grounds crew picks it up for me and takes it to the dumpster. What an awesome benefit that is. That’s how much they care about their residents here.

2022-02-04I love my apartment and the location. However I am not happy with the laundry situation. People tend to leave their laundry in the washers and dryers long after the cycle is over making it very difficult to get your laundry done. Also people tend to not pick up after their dogs which is a very easy thing to do. It is as if some of these people think they are the only ones living here and they are not considerate of their neighbors. I cant complain about anything else.

2022-04-02The ladies in the office are amazing! We moved in this weekend and they helped make it a breeze! We love sitting out with our pets and looking at the geese and the squirrels. It really is peaceful.
