The service was GREAT.The food was delicious.I got blackened grouper with sweet potato fries and pickled beets for dessert pecan pie.My wife got fried grouper, salad and a sweet potato.SHE ended with a coconut cream pie. Update 5-17-22 we went over for the wagyu steaks. They are not listed on the menu, Our waitress didnt offer either. We had too mention it. I hope these werent wagyu!!!?? And of course I want my steak raw( I mean rare) my wife medium rare. The steaks were med.rare and med.well. They were not tender either.the sweet potato fries were well done also. They did refund our money. Perhaps they have new staff here, they are using the big green egg. Maybe this requires technique mastery. Im going from 5 stars to 3 for NOW.
Great food! I’ll start with the fried pickles, which were spears rather than the usual slices. They were awesome and served with a tasty ranch-style dip. I then went for the Reuben which had a healthy slab of corned beef and sauerkraut between toasted slices of marble rye. The fries are large spirals. My wife had the soup (tomato basil) and salad (East Main Kitchen Salad)The service was excellent and we both enjoyed this meal very much!!
The food here is worth driving for. I ordered their ribeye and baked potato with garden salad. My sister-in-law ordered the blackened fish and sweet potato fries. Everything was incredible. The wait to be seated wasn’t long and there was a playground nearby out back for my niece to play at while we waited for a table. Excellent service and food I’ll be thinking about for weeks to come.
Very pleasantly surprised by the facility setting and full service menu offered at this very small town eatery. The facility is tastefully and exceptionally well appointed offering a relaxing and some what sophisticated atmosphere. The coffee shop portion offers high quality sweets as well as a decent selection of coffees. Menu offerings are mostly comfort foods but are well spiced and flavorful. Will be back to try breakfast items.
If there were ten stars, this restaurant deserves them!! The food was absolutely incredible, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was wonderful. You absolutely must visit even if you have to travel here. It was so worth the hour + drive. I had the pork chops and my wife had the blackened haddock. Best fish we have ever had!! Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. Will be back soon!!
This was one of the best restaurant experiences that I have had! We actually had gotten a coupon through our hotel we stayed at for a free breakfast there were four choices and we picked East Main.I had the Miller ScrambleFried potatoes, two scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and your choice of bacon, ham or sausage, all smothered in sausage gravy and topped off with shredded cheese. Served with a biscuit or toast. It truly was one of the best breakfast I’ve ever had anywhere in my life and I am 55 years old so I have had a lot of breakfast. The atmosphere at this restaurant was wonderful our server was amazing everyone there was so kind the place was beautiful and I loved all of the unique choices on the menu I cannot wait to go back I’m bringing more people back with me next time!!We would’ve never known about this restaurant as it was a little drive from where we were staying and off the beaten path so very smart of them to put this as an option for restaurants because now that we know about it we won’t be back many many times!!
What a wonderful experience here in Baltic Ohio!! I cant rant and rave about this place enough. Giving it 6⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐outta 5!!! If youre ever in the area... 🛑 & EXPERIENCE East Main Kitchen!!! Waitress Emily is so accommodating and knowledgeable with her explanations and assists with ordering. Then... just so attentive and on point throughout the dining process. Genuine care throughout. Food is top notch, very well prepared. Only wish I was nearer than 3 hrs away to dine in more often!!!
First time visitor from Michigan. The service was outstanding. Oh and the food! My goodness! I ordered a ribeye cooked medium rare. I really dont think Im exaggerating when I say its the best steak Ive EVER had. It was seasoned perfectly and cooked equally perfect! I could tell it was quality. It was worth every single penny. If I am ever back in this area. Im coming back!
Wow, what a hidden gem! A family member had recommended that we try this restaurant out and we were very impressed! So impressed that during our two night stay in Holmes County we ate there for supper twice! My wife and I dont typically order appetizers but we are glad that we did. The onion tanglers and fried pickles were so good! Both nights we got a ribeye steak which was hands down the best steak that weve ever had. There was a wait each night to get in which we dont mind for quality food and good service. If you do have to wait we recommend going across the street to the Baltic Mill Winery for some very good wine.
I have been to this place on different occasions. I went there because my wife watches YouTube with many other people that has recommended this place and every time I got there fried chicken. Well I was and am very disappointed that they took the fried chicken off of the menu. I can her from Akron and that is a good ways away just to go to thos place. I will probably not go back now. They replaced there 3 piece chicken with a fried smashed. Chicken breast with gravy on it. So very disappointed in this place they have went the way of the corporate for kitchen efficiency. So sad. If you want your fried chicken do t go here any more. I know I wont.
This restaurant does everything absolutely right! The food, the service, cleanliness, the atmosphere, the decor, simply a fantastic restaurant. The creamed eggs(sourdough bread with swiss cheese topped with cheesy egg and bacon gravy) and the a la carte pancakes(best Ive ever eaten) are pictured. Both were delicious!
WHYYY in the world did you take your BROASTED CHICKEN off your already skimpy entree section of your menu. !!!!!! And then you replace it with some buttermilk chicken ?? Which by the way isnt that great. Seriously. I would drive 2 hours away to get the best broasted chicken in the area. Guess I just lost my favorite restaurant. So dissapointing. Your broasted chicken was the absolute best in the area. I will be going elsewhere now. Would have given you 5 stars before this horrible menu swap. According to some of the employees there, Im not the only 1 complaining. PLEASE put that back on your menu !!!!!!!!!!!
For a great little classy place off the beaten path, don’t miss this gem here in Baltic, OH. Owners have done a superb job in totally remodeling to warm, homey feel with a modern twist (think Chip and Joanna Gaines style). The food gives a nod to the area’s Amish and Mennonite roots, but with chef Darryl Miller’s flair for the gourmet, it turns into something really special. I will be returning and would highly recommend.
My family and I first discovered this place a couple summers ago, while camping in Loudonville. Its quite a drive from both our house, and our campsite, but its WELL WORTH IT!! We havent found a menu item yet that isnt delicious. We especially like their onion straws, buffalo chicken dip, roast beef, salmon, and their (Thursday-only) chipotle bowls. And for drinks, they have the best chai latte in the country... nothing comes close. This place will be a MUST every time we go camping.
OMG!! Got tired of eating the typical Amish food and asked a random lady about her carryout box 😂! So glad I did!! She told me about this place and EVERYONE on my party even the kids loved their selections. Beautiful atmosphere and beautiful spirited Staff!! KUDOS to the chef, staff owners and mission of the HIDDEN GEM!!
Fab place. Place looks spectacular. Very bold, with comfy and tasteful. Amazing combo of practical, artsy and hardworking. Beautiful plush lounging/sitting area. Conference room. Restaurant/cafe seating area. Nice blend of open and private dining and relaxation areas. Chai Latte was fab. Excellent service by barista, Mr. Patrick.
Great little place for a delicious meal. My burger was phenomenal. I had Jumping Jack cheeses, onion straws, a little mustard and ketchup on it and wow, it was one of the best burgers I have had. Definitely top 5. My wife had the 3 piece dark chix meal and she was completely happy. We brought home dessert of chocolate cake and it was positively wonderful. Our waitress, Arlene, was professional but very friendly and easily likable. Will be going back soon.
The atmosphere of this restaurant is best described as a modern Farmhouse look. It is very quiet and pleasant, a nice place to have a meal or just hang out with friends for coffee. The menu is not extensive, but everything is of the highest quality and prepared to perfection. Weve ordered just about everything on the menu and its all been great! In addition to the standard menu fare, the display case is always filled with scrumptious layer cakes, muffins, and other desserts prepared by their in-house pastry chef . The staff is very attentive and pleasant - service is great!
This restaurant used to be one of my families favorite places to eat at, unfortunately after having the worst experience that I have ever encountered in a restaurant setting, we will not be eating here again. My wife, 11-month old daughter and I ate here for lunch on Monday, February 21st, 2022 when having a family day together and it was an absolutely awful experience. Our waitress was a middle-aged lady, I wish that I would have got her name, that provided absolutely zero customer service and was incredibly unfriendly. The restaurant was unfortunately out of a lot of food and you could tell that every question that my wife and I asked this lady was an inconvenience to her and she made zero effort to be accommodating in any manner and made both my wife and myself feel extremely uncomfortable. On 2 separate occasions, my wife and I asked our waitress to please allow us a little more time to look at the menu, as we were not only trying to attend to our very young daughter but also trying to decide what we wanted to order for our meals. After both of these instances, the waitress returned to our table very shortly and provided us with no time, which led to both my wife and I just simply picking an item that neither of us intended on ordering. Unfortunately the rest of the experience did not improve any, as this waitress continued to provide no customer service and neither my wife nor myself felt comfortable asking her for anything due to knowing that all we were was an inconvenience to her. I absolutely hate to write this review and have never in my life left a bad review to any business, as my family is very easy going, although if this restaurant is going to continue to thrive and prosper these experiences can not continue.
I visited here because my client recommended it. Im so glad he did! The waitresses were soooo friendly and the food was really good too! Im glad I got a coffee and a cookie for the road too!! If it wasnt so far away, wed probably go all the time! We will definitely be back!
We recently decided to try this place on the way home from Columbus. Note to self: STOP HERE EVERYTIME YOU ARE DRIVING HOME FROM COLUMBUS.Me and my wife have tried almost all of the homestyle restaurants in Holmes County and Amish country. To me, this place is a clear step above all the rest. Hands down the best of the ones we have tried (including Der Dutchman, Farmstead, Mrs Yoders, Boyd & Wurthmann, Hartville Kitchen). They have a few different options for those who get bored with just the standard fare of Amish style restaurants - we got fried cheese curds for an appetizer. They were amazing. For my meal, I got the ribeye steak and I am drooling just thinking about it. To be honest, Im not a huge steak guy, but Ive tried my fair share. This was absolutely the best tasting and juiciest steak Ive ever had. If I ever get hungry for steak I know where Ill be going. My wife got roast beef with mashed potatoes and noodles and LOVED IT. Often the roast beef she has had at other restaurants is fatty. This beef was great quality and amazing flavor. To top it off they have a little coffee shop area with a full menu of coffee options. I thought the coffee was great quality. You wont regret stopping here, even if its a little outta your way. We will be back!
We happened upon this place as we were driving through the country and we are glad we found it! We enjoyed a wonderful lunch so much that we drove back the same night for dinner. Once more we were exceptionally pleased. The food was wonderful, the service was fantastic, the staff was ever so pleasant! The restaurant is clean and bright, ever so comfortable. We will keep this as a place to return to when we visit in future years as we live in Wisconsin!
We had dinner at East Main Kitchen & Coffee during our mother/daughter weekend away. I loved everything about it! The sweet mint tea was delicious, our food was delicious especially the sweet potato fries with their caramel sauce. The vibe was good and peaceful. Just, 10/10 recommend!
Cute place, nice updated decor. Friendly staff. No one wore masks. As with most Amish run restaurants, the food could have used some seasoning. Chicken tenders tasted a little like fish, most likely fried in the same oil. The dressing was weird, had pieces of some kind of meat (chicken?) and potatoes in it. Pork chop was nicely grilled and juicy, a little chewy. Sweet potato fries were good, especially with the caramel dipping sauce. We got the lemon blueberry cake. It was tasty but the cake itself was very dry. Not a horrible experience but I wont be rushing back any time soon.
Very modern/cozy/professional place to eat.Good place to take your computer to do some work, It had a quiet atmosphere yet not a romantic setting. It was more like going to eat at a Starbucks lobby but it still had a nice vibe for a casual date.Food was great. I ordered a double burger and it was HUGE!!!! I will be sticking with the single next time.
We stopped by on a whim to kill time for an appointment. I was very impressed with the decor and cleanliness. It is cozy yet spacious with chairs scattered about to rest and enjoy the wonderful coffee selections available. The staff was efficient and very polite!!Esther was our server and she was knowledgeable of the menu and patiently answered our questions.I chose the roast beef with mashed potatos and gravy. WOW!!! It was fabulous!! By far the best I have ever had in 63 years of eating!! It was tender as only slow cooking can make it and the gravy blanketed the potatos to perfection!! It was a beautiful plate that did not disappoint my typically pessimistic appetite! All in all it was a wonderfull dining experience and a location I will share with all who will listen!! Good job folks!! We will be back!!
We had not visited this restaurant in about 3 years. It has undergone an amazing face-lift. New decor and an updated menu greeted us. We stopped in for lunch and it was busy. After a brief wait we were seated and a very attentive waitress served us. The food is still excellent and plentiful. We will return next time we visit Baltic.
Looking forward to our annual Anniversary Dinner. Yes, you read that correct. Both my husband and I after 33yrs of marriage love; the food (Hubby headed for the pork chops), the atmosphere, waitresses, chefs, and especially the owner Maureen!! Looking forward to our annual visit this weekend and taking special people with us to fall in love with this place as well. See you soon.
One of the very best steaks Ive had in the longest time. Hand cut and aged. Ive eaten at some of the BEST steak houses in the US., Including Paula Deen and Smith & Wollenskys. This secret spot in Baltic, Ohio is sure to please! Theres something for anyone on the menu in this truly, hidden gem.Not to mention all the best of Ohio Breads and Amish sides. Even the butter was better! lol. The basics turned into the finest dishes, brown dripping gravy some of the best Ive ever had the priviledge to taste. Gourmet pastries and coffees as well.Well worth the scenic drive. More than worth it!
Delicious and definitely worth the drive to Baltic! In Tuscarawas County but just across the borders of Holmes and Coshocton Counties. Clean and lovely atmosphere with plenty of room and a friendly staff! I had one of the two specials. I can’t wait to try more items on the menu. We had a party of seven, and everybody was so very pleased with their food and the quality. Everything on the trays that the waitresses walked by with looked absolutely delicious!
I was very impressed by the cleanliness and atmosphere of the restaurant as soon as we walked in. We were seated and the waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was FABULOUS!!! The prices were very reasonable as they served us A LOT of food! I was sad that I didn’t get to try their coffee but I will make a point of it when we return. And we WILL be back!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
What an incredible food experience. The wait staff was kind and helpful. The double burger I had was huge, juicy and made on an excellent pretzel bun.The restaurant was clean and houses a friendly atmosphere that is conducive for good dining. The sign of a great restaurant like East Main is when Baltic locals choose the place as the primary place to eat at. East Main is this place. Highly recommend!
Hands down the Best Shrimp and Grits that I have ever had, my wife, son and I went there via a recommendation from one of the furniture store employees that we meet while shopping. We were egar to try something new being that we were up that way. We had the special chicken alfredo and the shrimp and Grits and they both were outstanding. I will make the drive up there again just for the food and we live in Zanesville which is an hour away. Keep up the great work and the ambiance was very welcoming and clean. Go check it out you will not be disappointed.Gavin W.
The food is delicious. The service is very friendly and efficient. It is a clean, modern country style environment. The food came quickly, wait was not bad at all & everyone had a good time. Good first experience. We had a reservation, which also made things easier. Highly recommend, its a popular place!:)
This place is simply amazing. The new owners have done Amazing things with it. The interior design and atmosphere is quaint and charming yet modern and timeless. I went with a group of ten and the service was top notch. Prompt, courteous, and timely would be an understatement. The burgers are remarkable. I personally had the shrimp and grits and it was simply to die for. Arguably the best shrimp and grits I have ever had. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back.
Long waits, this last time they ran out of food. It happens that a resturaunt runs out of specials, however this is a menu staple. No effort was made to make it better other than offering to split the one they did have between two people, no reduction in price, no free dessert, nothing. We have been here before and it has been good, tonight was not a good night.
A good restaurant masters food, service, and atmosphere. A GREAT restaurant masters all three, plus consistency. East Main Kitchen falls into the latter. We eat eat here at least once a month. We bring our family. We bring our guests. We, and they, are never disappointed. Inside tip: dont leave without a buttermilk cookie.
I was in the restaurant a few months ago on a trip back to Baltic. All I ordered was a slice of Elderberry pie. The service was outstanding, the prices were really fair, But that slice of pie was totally out of this world.I have eaten that kind of pir all of my live and that was just the best.
This place is a gem. The food is amazing. Ribeye was cooked to perfection and the grouper was light and delicious. Desserts are fantastic. Our server, Rachael, made the experience even better. We’ve come to Amish country over the past 10 years and this is now our favorite restaurant. We will definitely be back.
We stopped here on our way through town. We had asked two people where to stop and eat and both people told us this was the best around the area. We were not disappointed! The restaurant was clean, with a modern farmhouse feel. The staff was kind and friendly. The food was delicious and plentiful. We have the fried chicken and pot roast - both were FANTASTIC. We didn’t try their coffee drinks, but they looked great. We did, however, take some bakery items to go and they were delicious! We look forward to making another trip just to eat here! 💗
A quaint place off the beaten path. Salad was very fresh, dressing was tasty, soup tasted homemade. The chicken wrap had way too much mayo, therefore not 5 stars. Coffee was good and served with real half and half. Latte was very good. We had cake for dessert. It was very moist. The service was good and our waitress was very pleasant. Prices are reasonable. I would make a special trip to go here again if I was in Amish country. Baltic doesnt have much going on in it. A winery and East Main Kitchen.
It was our 1st time at East Main. The BYO single Burger were a full serving of delicious, the Ruben was very good, the pork chops were cooked to perfection n my grilled fish was wonderful. Definitely pleased with food and service. The desserts looked awesome but just couldnt do it. Thank you for a great experience.
An absolute treasure!!! Friendly, clean, fast efficient service, overall rating a perfect score!!!!! Mouth watering dishes served here!! Found by accident and will be forever thankful I did!! Outstanding homemade desserts including my favorite Creme Brulee, many coffee drinks offered including my favorite Frenchpress Coffee, wide variety of appetizers including Hot Chicken Dip and main entrees to satisfy everyone tastebuds including a dish favorite from Charleston SC.... Cheese Grits Sausage and Shrimp 🥰 The Best breakfast I have had in years!!! We were so impressed we came back for dinner the same day!! You MUST visit soon! Worth the drive every time mine is an hour!
We went here last week, its a hidden gem. The atmosphere is wonderful, relaxing and homey. Love the decor, mostly modern farmhouse I would say. We were there for breakfast. The food was delicious. I got the Millers Scramble which was delicious, every one of the many ingredients tasted fresh and wonderful. Our sever was sweet and attentive. There were some interesting menu choices so it was hard to choose. I was torn between the avocado toast and the shrimp & grits as well. Just need to go back! I highly recommend.
Both the food and the service are excellent every time I go to East Main. I am local, and I always refer this place to my out of town friends. The only downside is that their evenings are at times very busy, but that is simply because they are a quality establishment.
Well, we just found our new favorite restaurant! Our friends from Walnut Creek were raving about it so we drove over from Millersburg tonight & met them for an early dinner. Good thing we did too because it got very busy, very fast being a Friday night! I ordered 50/50 sweet tea, stuffed pepper soup & a mixed green salad with a homemade vinaigrette dressing that were ALL excellent. I also ordered a baked potato & their special daily vegetable—roasted cauliflower. Both were flavorful. My only complaint being that the cauliflower was a tad dry. A little drizzle of olive oil could have helped with that small problem, I think.Lastly, our two primo items were: (1) my husband’s entree and (2) my dessert. His shrimp & grits, as well as, my chocolate espresso cake & coffee were ALL to die for!I can’t say enough good things about our dining experience tonight. . .lovely atmosphere, cleanly restrooms and especially our friendly/attentive server are all reasons why we’ll be back for more very soon. Bravo East Main Kitchen & Coffee!Pamela S.Millersburg, Ohio
Stoped in for the first time under the new ownership and I have to say I was highly impressed. There was a wait, even in a Tuesday, which says a lot about the place! The staff were very friendly. Everything was very well organized and the food came out early. I had the Ribeye with sweat potato. The steak was huge! It was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. Everything else we saw being brought out looked great as well. We would have had desert...but we didnt have room for it.We will be back very soon.
Stopped in Saturday after a friend recommended checking it out. Food was absolutely amazing I had turkey, mashed potatoes and noodles and hubby had a Reuben sandwich. Will definitely eat here again next time we are in town. Restaurant was very clean and atmosphere great. Our waitress was on point. Check this place out!!
Theyve been open for a while now so Ive been back a few times since my first experience. The food is good. Decor is nice. Wait time is still slow. Overall they have improved so I wanted to give a better rating. My original comments are below and every visit since has been a good experience.Original post...Not sure what to say. Place looked nice. My first visit I ordered a double cheeseburger to go. They gave me a single but charged for a double. I didnt realize until Id left. Went back again on another day mentioned my previous experience, girl behind the counter wouldnt do anything about it. I really wanted to like this place, but negative experience and long wait time, Im not very likely to go there again.
A warm and welcoming place to eat a snack or a meal. It is beautifully decorated. All new inside. All new seating, new eating utensils( heavy weight not tinny) new plates, bowls, cups, glasses. The food is amazing. My husband ordered the roast beef Manhattan, roast beef very tender, I ordered the boosted chicken, very good. The rolls were homemade, real butter. It was a very enjoyable meal, and service with a smile. Sabrina is a very good server. Very personable. We will definitely go back to eat again. Thank you to the new owners for such a great place to dine. The coffee was great too and only a $1.00 a cup with refills. I also purchased a Chi Tea as I was leaving. It was also very good.
We love this place. They have just awesome food here. We always leave this place stuffed to the gills. Their portions are big but the prices are reasonable for the amount you get. People who run the place is awesome and the waitress are so sweet too. I would tell everyone and anyone to go there . They even have awesome steaks.
Food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The shrimp and grits was better than most I’ve had in true Lowcountry restaurants. Kids meals are big enough to feed an adult. Wait time is on the long side, but it’s a comfortable atmosphere and the food is fresh and spot on!
We were here with a group of 10 today. We had made reservations, but they had no record of it. We were cramped around a table which would seat 8 comfortably. There were many empty tables. I presume they could have been put together to make room for our group. The food was delicious and servings were generous. Our waitress never returned to refill water glasses or coffee cups. She never asked if we wanted dessert. She would get one star if I could rate her. There are so many good restaurants nearby with excellent service. Our group wont be returning any time soon.
We just loved this restaurant! Food was top notch and very fresh tasting! Service was great and the atmosphere is very clean and inviting. Prices are a little on the higher end but you really get what you pay for here. I wouldnt hesitate to pay a little more for good food and friendly service. Also love that they serve Gerbers Chicken! And its in a nice little town. We will defintley be back very soon!
We were greeted by a friendly host. He warned us of potential wait because they were so busy. Service was good anyway, although the waitress seemed a bit breathless like she barely had time for us, even toward the end when this were slowing down. The roast beef Manhatten and grilled chicken were both amazing, although a little lukewarm. Overall though, we had a great time and walked away impressed. Hopefully well be back.
We go to the Holmes County area often, and have eaten wonderful meals at many restaurants. We stayed at a different B & B this time, and asked people where their favorite place was. Without exception, all suggested East Main Kitchen and Coffee. East Main Kitchen and Coffee is now our favorite place to go. The broasted chicken was to die for! Everything we had was exceptional, and it will be our new go-to place in the area.
Me and my friend had the Chicken Bacon Ranch Flat Bread Pizza which is on the appetizer menu and it was plenty for she and I. It was delicious! They have coffee drinks and desserts. We had a White Chocolate Caramel Frappe which was delicious. I had the Truffle Chocolate Cake and my friend had the Espresso cake. You get a big slice of cake. The cake was moist and not to rich.
Took overnight trip to Amish Country with a friend. We wanted to go somewhere that wasnt so busy but able to have amish style foods. A girl at a local shop we visited suggested East Main. We were so glad we asked. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was great! Not to mention beautiful! We will go back on our next trip to Ohio!
Had the Reuben with their own slow roasted brisket. 5 stars! Super tender and juicy with great kraut. My wifes blackened grouper was super mild and flaky. We had a sample of the special of steak and mushroom pasta in white sauce, WOW! Definitely a home run!! We will be back!!
Congratulations Baltic you have a great restaurant! Went for breakfast, the food took a while but the place was packed so it’s understandable. But was well worth the wait. Being from Sugarcreek I’m a little jealous. We need a family restaurant that serves a real cooked to order breakfast.
Ate here today. Great job on the ambiance. Refined with a decided nod to the roots of the town its in.The food was spot on. I had the blackened grouper. Cooked perfectly. Halfway through I was getting sad because it was going to be over soon. I had the sweet potato fries with a dipping sauce. I dont typically like sweet dipping sauces, but this was perfect. Not too sweet, just right. My wife had the roast beef. It was well prepared and delicious (I sampled it!). It will be a solid choice if thats what you are looking for. She said her salad was extra good. One of the owners brought out a sample of some fried green beans. So good! I dont know if it will be a menu item, but it should be!For desert my wife had the pecan pie and I had a piece of carrot cake. The pecan pie was great. Its hard to find a pecan pie that isnt too sweet or over baked, but this one was perfect. The carrot cake was delicious too. The black coffee was not especially noteworthy, but it was a good; better than many coffee shops offer so its a solid choice too.All in all, the owners, their chef, and the staff have put together a winner here. Im weary of mediocre restaurants. Many that are recommended to me leave me feeling meh. But I am impressed with East Main Kitchen. I think its all the love in the place that makes everything end up special.
This restaurant has surprassed all expectations. I recommend the Ruben, Pork Chop, Chicken, Chef Salad....and love the pickled beets! Well be back many times. A very welcome addition to Baltic. Stop in at the Baltic Mill Winery across the street for an after-dinner wine. Its wonderful to see two buildings refurbished instead of razed and rebuilt.
Order a soup and salad combo for lunch... 9$ menu price thinking the to go order would be of a fulfilling size. Received a sandwich to go box with a handful of lettuce and about 6 oz of chili. I called to verify the amount paid was for what I received and was told it was correct. They did offered to provide a larger container of chili if I came to pick it up.

2022-01-29An amazing dinner from appetizers, main course, desserts and drinks. Very clean dining room/kitchen and friendly staff. Chef Darryl knocked it out of the park. Will definitely be back.

2022-03-18The service was friendly and the food was delicious! My husband had a build your own double burger with avocado, blue cheese, bacon, onions, jalapeños and mushrooms. He said the burger was so juicy and all of the ingredients tasted fresh. I had the chicken club and it was great! We grabbed iced lattes to go and they did not disappoint! This is a must try restaurant!!

2022-05-01Out of the way and worth it every time. Highest quality and best ribeye we have had in Ohio. We have stopped here for lunch as well. Everything we have tried has been exceptional with a good experience all around from the decor, the wait staff, and the overall atmosphere. This is a must visit restaurant!

2022-03-29Very disappointing. Pork chops were cold, tough and dry. Mac and cheese wasnt very good and definitely not worth the $2 upcharge. Baked sweet potato was cold and my wife had to send it back to heat it up. If we ever come back I wouldnt get anything that we had today.

2021-10-18So very pleased to discover the hidden gem of tiny Baltic, Ohio and East Main Kitchen. Upon the recommendation of a pleasant Mennonite shopkeeper in Berlin, we visited East Main Kitchen on an October 2021 trip to Amish Country. The rural little village boasts an extraordinary eatery, a coffee shop and an adorable gift shop. There is also a winery. We ordered fried cheese curds as our appetizer and main dishes were Chicken Salad Wrap with Parmesan, Tomato Basil Soup with House Salad, and the Reuben with fries. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was beautiful. I highly recommend the Chicken Salad Wrap, the Parmesan adds an awesome unexpected element to the chicken salad. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cute and modern farmhouse industrial style. The bakery style dessert case and coffee bar offers customers a quick option for on the go and features cinnamon rolls, macarons, cookies and mile high cakes. They also offer homemade pies.If you visit, also go to the Leaf and Linen gift shop. It is modern and adorable!! Very reminiscent of a Rose & Remington type store. It is clear that some business folks have a true vision for this up and coming little village.Well done, Baltic!

2021-07-20Great place to eat! I ordered the East Main Salad and was delighted. The chicken is very tender and flavorful, as is the entire salad. The shrimp poppers were fantastic as well, the sauce that was served with it was the perfect paring.
