Very diverse setup with various types of campsites, some of which are out in the open while others are tucked in the trees. Sites are large. Most have lots of privacy. All clean and well maintained. This campground is huge and does not feel like other campgrounds. Here you can breath and really get away from it all. Bathrooms are immaculate and well kept up. Camphosts keep to themselves. The office staff were friendly and will converse with you if you have any questions or comments. Really nothing one could complain about, except for how many sites are empty which is a shame given how beautiful East Fork State Park is with all its miles of trails, creeks, rivers and of course lake. I do wish they offered more discounts like passport america, but the loyalty points program is a good idea. *Regarding on not allowing tents in some areas under the tree canopy; some of these areas have weak tree limbs and weak tree roots which pose a safety concern for tents under the tree canopy. Not all areas under the trees are prohibited from setting up a tent, as far as I noticed. Also where there is a will, there is a way.Walmart and Jungle Jims are a few miles down the hwy. Dollar Store, laundry mat, restaurant and local convenient stores are just 1 to 2miles away. Very conveniently located state park campground.
Too expensive. Stayed for one night for a meditation and yoga day but there were really loud lawnmowers until the sun went down. The day after I asked for my money back so we could try again another time but they turned me away. Also too much light pollution on beach from restroom station
BE CAREFUL!!! We were robbed last time out there. Camped on September 29. We forgot something and left for 45 min to run out and when we came back somebody stole our cooler full of food and drinks. They also stole our backpacks, blankets and pillows. Never had anything like this happen out there. Have fun but watch your stuff!!!
The camper host was not helpful and very rude she does an awful job with cleaning the bathrooms and camper sites she harrasses the campers if they are not out by 1300 pm she doesnt stop or say anything to the golf carts to slow them down in the loops she takes things that dont belong to her like wood and hay if they are left on a site and when you come back she has taken them from your site and when asked to give them back she just says oh well dont leave stuff on your site she has no business being a camper host

2018-10-21We had a group come to camp here. Overall we had a blast and the campground was great, clean, and the company (other campers) were extremely laid back. The bathrooms and showers were clean also. ****The only issues we had were that We had two campsites B23 & B24 and neither one of them had a grill in the fire pits (and both of ours for whatever reason were the only two without them, I checked). Also one of our campsites B23 we couldnt even use bc there was room for only one tent (online it says you can fit up to 6 people realistically you could fit a 2-3 person tent in that spot) and it had been raining so that only spot was a mud puddle the rest of the area was at a slope and/or concrete so nobody could pitch a tent there. I would still definitely go back.

2019-06-16We love camping here and found our favorite campsite. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are hot if you go to a newer built shower house. I wish they had laundry but there is an excellent laundromat down the road. We plan on camping at least 4 times this year. Lots of things to see, but the park is huge, be prepared to drive around to get to places

2020-09-11Camper beach is horrible! Can not even park in lot. Not really sure we are allowed on it anymore. Total state of disrepair. Need to remedy this as only other beach is clear on other side of the lake which is a very long distance away. Campsites are nice for the most part. I go weekdays so it is not so crowded. Smoke from campfires on weekends can choke you!

2020-09-08Peaceful during weekdays. Madhouse on weekends. Park maintenance ok. Camper beach is a disgrace. Basically allowed to become a dump. Parking closed it is so bad. Only beach in good condition is on other side of lake from the campground. Definitely a condition which needs to be addressed.

2018-07-27No longer allowed to camp in woods. The site we had was literally just a pad to park your car not big enough for a camper. The fire pit is in the woods but you cant camp there. Also they will keep the cost of your first night if youre lucky enough to get a refund. If you dont mind sleeping 10 feet away from the next campsites tents, out in the big wide open space, where people party till the wee hours of the morning, this is the place for you. True nature lovers, beware.

2018-07-11The campsites are packed on top of each other. There isnt much to a campsite. Not sure what the profit motive is. Oh! And you have to book at least two nights (~$35 per night). Not very accessible if youre on a budget. The campground is about a 25 minute drive to the beach on the other side of the lake. The water kind of burnt my skin and left a really greasy film on it.The worst part is that the only showers available to wash off with afterward are cold and outside. Gross. Not a great affordable place to bring a family for a fun weekend.

2019-06-24Nice campground with a lot of spots. Including a horsemans camping area. From the campground you can access a boat ramp, hop on the paved bike trail or one of the many hiking trails, which are always muddy and can be frustrating to hike on, wear water proof boots. The check in office has a small store with snacks and a few fishing and camping items. The campground even has a small putt putt golf course. This is a great campground for families and anyone else who likes to spend time outdoors. The campground can get pretty busy so try to book in advance.
