When the engineers and designers took on this project, they clearly understood the numerous limitations that big rig drivers face when needing and using a rest area.Thank you for your foresight, acumen, and aesthetically-inclined touches.This is the rest area that future designers should use as a standard!
This rest area is really nice, it has a open yard where you can walk your dog, the restrooms are fairly clean and smell nice and the outside lights are bright in the dark hours definitely a nice place to take a break from driving and they have vending machines.

I always stop here whether I need to or not. Always clean. I like the walk up the hill to the restroom. The wildflower area looked a little raggedy (August 2021).
A large, clean rest area. The entrance and exit ramps are a little odd, with the access road twisting back on itself. There were many vending machines that looked to be well-stocked, including with energy drink options. Lets face it, driving through eastern Ohio isnt the most thrilling of rides, especially when theres road construction, but this rest area was in a nice place to take a break, stretch the legs, and get a snack.

This is one of the better rest areas. It was really nice and clean the restrooms were nice and clean also.
A quick restroom stretch and rest before heading down 170 east. Disregard the sign that says you must still wear a mask if you have not been fully or even vaccinated at all!! No mask needed to pee folks!! Lol

This rest area, as well as its counterpart on the Westbound side of I70, are always impeccably clean and well maintained. I have complimented the employees, on more than 1 occasion about it. Usually a rest area bathroom, brings to mind the smells of the monkey house at the zoo. But these are far from that.

The rest area is clean and the parking lot is spacious. The building is modern and bright. As with all rest areas in Ohio, this one is head and shoulders above the rest areas in other states. There is a food truck here. The guys manning the truck are not practicing good hygiene. They arent wearing gloves. The truck doesnt look clean inside and out and one of the three guys is smoking near the truck. This is supposed to be for truckers. Should this be acceptable because its for drivers? Are drivers standards that low? Mine are not.
I wonder how much the planters cost.

Pretty nice for a rest area. Lots of space to get out and stretch your legs after a long drive. Very nice having a public restroom available rather than having to rely on finding a random McDonalds or something along the highway.

One of the nicest rest areas you will visit. Large open with lots of parking. Very clean restrooms and places to walk the dog. 🐕 We stop here on our trips to Philly.
A Very Clean and Well Kept rest stop. Dude was in here working hard! Everything that could be in order was in order. Youll also find vending machines at this rest stop in case you need something to snack on or you forgot your snacks. Outside is a nice green space, covered seating area and a place for parking for cars, rv/campers, and big rigs (Im sure people still call them that). You know, I miss seeing payphones at places like this. To totally eradicate payphones, how dare society. What if your cell phone malfunctions, the battery dies and wont charge? Not having a payphone available as a possible resource seems counter-productive to societies progress. Anyhow, East Bound Rest Area provides convenience for those traveling through Ohio. To locate more Rest Areas to make your trip run even more smoothly, go to the Ohio Department of Transportations website, Im sure youll find some locations.

2022-05-08Clean bathrooms. Wasn’t very busy. Larger rest stop. Benches inside. Also maps available.Roger, one of the maintenance personnel, was very polite. I asked how the soap system worked since it goes into the wall so he showed me! More than a simple answer of telling me, he decided to show me!

2021-05-05Ample parking, automobile and Semi-truck. Always clean. Well lit. Goodly amount of for pay snack & soda coin & paper dollar operated machines. Some snack/soda machines have credit card swipes. Grounds are kept well. The facility is modern. Dedicated/Separate/Private/Single Family/Handicap/Wheelchair Accessible w/drop down infant changing stations. (see attached photos)

2022-07-17Vending machines took our change with no product dispensed. Saw that after the fact there was a refund request box packed full of refund requests. Lots of restrooms out of order. Poorly stocked road maps.
