Absolutely Love Dragons Lair! Attended the soft opening and was impressed with how well organized, clean, and friendly the staff was! They interact with you so well here and have a growing selection of Marvel and DC Comics, and Paperbacks as well as TCGs (yes, including Pokémon and Magic) it’s seriously heaven in here!! My new go to shop, for all my needs. They also have a impressive selection of Action Figures, Funko Pops and Manga. One question I do have — How can I get on a pull list/ subscription list , to pick up comics in shop? Thanks! Can’t wait for my next trip out to Dragons Lair Lewis Center❤️
I visited Dragons Lair for the first time this weekend and it was a great experience. The environment was immediately very welcoming and diverse, moreso than many other tabletop gaming/hobby type shops I have been to. They are outwardly LGBTQ+ friendly and that is a huge reassurance for me whenever I go to new places. At the time I went, there was a guy DMing a mini tabletop RPG campaign for some kids and everyone seemed like they were having a blast. They had a wide range of products for sale and seem to be a pretty popular destination for events/making good use of the gaming tables. I look forward to going back often! I also saw that they have regular mini painting events and have had a terrain crafting class once which all sounds super fun and Id love to try one of those sometime.
It’s a nice store but I expected more comics given that the name has comics in it. Only about 10% of the store is dedicated to comics. It’s more games than anything else. I’m sure their intentions was not to deceive anyone, but I definitely left feeling like I wasted my time driving there.
Great selection of TTRPGs, including some indie gems. Theyve also got a consignment section for used board games.Any chance yall could look into doing Bits and Mortar for TTRPG purchases? Some publishers will give away the PDF when the physical copy is bought in the store.
I was stoked to get a dragons lair in columbus, especially as I moved here from Texas. They carry a great selection of trading card games, board games, plushies, Manga and more. They are a new location, so its understandable that they are making improvements. My biggest issue with the store is that it lacks the uniqueness and inventory desirability that the Texas store has. The selection of Manga, figures, etc... really isnt anything to write home about, many other stores in the Cbus area have the same, if not better things in stock. The store feels very empty a lot of the time due to their lack of things theyve put out (I wanted to get 2 of an item but they only had one in stock). I think the biggest issue with their lack of inventory is their comic book section.Love the retro look of the store, the Nostalgia and enviroment that it brings to Lewis center/ powell; Im just hoping they do more in the future.
Super close and has a little bit of everything. Miniature players can pick from WH40K to SW Legion and then some.Edit to respond: You covered the big 3 which is D&D, Warhammer and Star Wars Legion/X-wing. I cant possibly pretend there would be another product line that is as big as those without going to etsy or a specific 3d print studio for minis or breaking down GWs varied assortment of side games. That said I think for Warhammer just be sure to keep up on the latest since they like to slow drip in new models and I think Horus Heresy 2.0 is around the corner. For D&D just pay attention to the big announcements and for Legion and X-Wing just carry on as usual. I have no complaints and will probably make my way out to you guys just because of proximity and the community that was there seemed pretty chill.
Great selection of board games, miniatures, comic books and tabletop rpg supplies. They do boardgame demos so you can learn to play something before you buy it. They have a nice selection of miniature supplies... paint, detail brushes, small bushes, moss, grass and more. Very fun store!!! You can also reserve tables for tabletop games, rpgs, what have you.
Went here to play Flesh and Blood but arrived quite ahead of time. A few gentlemen were kind enough to let me sit in on their Warhammer game as well as answered all of my questions! The community here seems incredibly friendly and accepted. The Digimon players also humoured my questions. Overall I highly recommend visiting Dragons Lair. Plus their bearded dragon is incredibly cute and friendly

2022-04-17A great place for the kid in all of us! They have a great gaming area for card games and everything from the latest new comics to softback books on your favorite super hero or villain. They have lots of little mini events with tutorials in many techniques. Like one on working with worbla for cosplay props. The miniture figure section is phenomenal as are the selection of paints, tools, and accessories. The staff is super kind and friendly with a good knowledge of everything in the shop. A great place to spend a bit of time and make new friends

2022-04-13Its just my opinion, but if youre going to call yourself a Comics & Fantasy store, you should really have a decent amount of Comics. Dragons Liar is 80% games and if thats your thing, you will love this place. The Comics they have on the shelves are current issues only, and a fair amount of TPBs.I wont come back, but for the gamers out their, this could be the place!

2022-05-20Great new store had the privilege of seeing a soft sneak peak opening. Introduced to a good group of staff. Store is clean, hand sanitizer at the door and staff wear masks.Pretty much any board or role playing game you can think of was there ranging from Marvel, Power Rangers, Warhammer, Cataan and you name it. They have D&D figures, sets and epic monsters.I managed to find a new D&D dice that is Purple and Black which are so cool and metal! Prices are great and my wife, our D&D crew and I will be back.5/15/22Thank you DLs Zach for printing from our saved file on the 3D printer my new mini for a recent D&D campaign we started. It turned great from the printer and only a week versus months it takes for Heroes Forge custom mini to ship.I also want to thank you DLs Zach for on the Thursday paint night we attended giving me the Raphael you painted. Yours is wayyyyy better than mine that I left with but I didnt do too bad for my first time.Paint nights are a lot of fun for a price depending on size, character, licensing, etc. they will charge you for the mini figurine. Dragons Lair then has you covered because they supply the paint, paint brushes and trays you need to make your figurine come to life.Stop in and or follow them on Facebook. The manager John is always showing new products that are delivered to the store and showcases the new comic books too. They also demo and play board games or card games practically one is showcased every night they are open. They also sell trading cards including Pokemon but they only sell newer sets, ETBs, collector boxes, booster packs and booster boxes. What I recall is that they have Yu-Gi-Oh, My Hero Academia, Magic and some new sets.

2022-06-24Dragons Lair Comics and Games has very rapidly become a strong contender for the title of best game store in Columbus, which is quite a feat given the number of strong competitors they face. The store has an incredibly welcoming atmosphere and staff, and the events they host have drawn a wide variety of community members together, creating a distinct sense of community around the store itself. Anyone interested in comics or games should take the time to give the Lair a visit.

2022-03-29This place is simply amazing. The paint and take nights are some of my favorite. Zach has done a wonderful job providing a space that allows amateur of miniature painting a place to try it, and see if it is something they will enjoy without the cost of buying all of the materials required up front. That also leads into one of the best features of dragons lair, demo games. If you have ever dropped $100 on a board game, just to find out that it isnt any fun to play, you might want to look at the stores demo games. This allows you to play the game before you decide if you want to buy it. Phil and John are both very knowledgeable, and willing to talk and show you new and interesting games, comics, and more. It is also good to see dragons lair supporting and helping the business around them. With advertisements and products from other businesses in their shop. It is great to be able to sit down with friends, order a pizza from Torantos, and play a longer board game. In their snack section they sell confectionaries from the Fat Girl Bakery, as well of your normal array of beverages, and snacks. They also sell geek grind coffee, and have k-cups that you can buy to try the coffee to see if you like it before buying a whole bag. I kind of wish that they had more drink selection, but overall its a good selection. I am sure I am missing a lot of great aspects of this shop, absolutely a gem of a shop in the Polaris area.

2022-03-19Everyone is so nice and helpful!!! First time I’ve been there and everyone was so welcoming by showing me around and giving advice on certain types of games to try, paint night, and game nights. The lay out is amazing due to the open floor plan so plenty of seating to try out their games, to socialize,, or paint! We are looking forward to spending time there! Phil and Zach were patient answering our questions and very nice!
