The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, several museums, and the lakefront. The hotel is in the downtown area therefore the surrounding areas was not busy or noises. The drawbacks of this hotel is that it is outdated and lack the amenities that is now expected in hotels. The rooms lacked plugs and/or hubs for the basic devices two people carry. Moreover, the shower head pointed towards the wall and could not be moved or redirected. Additionally, the front desk staff lack the friendliness and kindness expected of a “full service” hotel in the Hilton brand. I witness some of the most unprofessional customer service from the representatives at the front desk with the notable exception of the night representative on the weekend. Outside of poor customer service, the hotel does offers an on-site restaurant serving the basics but no return to room service. Hilton now offers a $15 meal credit for Gold/Diamond members instead of breakfast which benefits only those members who are buying snacks from the gift shop otherwise the credit doesn’t coverage the cost of a meal. The plus is the credit can now be used for dinner or in the gift shop. The Hotel has a shuttle but I was never informed on where it goes and when it can be used. I was disappointed in the hotel and immediately thought I should stayed at the Hampton Inn. The Hampton was closer to Progressive Field and the areas dinning options which hands down bet the in house restaurant. As for as the cookies, I was never offer them at check in!
The staff was helpful and friendly, and the location is good for getting around major places in downtown Cleveland. Yes, the bed was comfortable but the hotel needs updating and a good cleaning. The carpets were tired and rooms were prepared but not super clean (hallways not vacuumed, bathroom floor was not very clean, lamps full of dust, windows very dirty). Also note that their policy is to not make up your room (even empty the trash) until after you are there 3 days (though they will provide clean towels when asked).
Nice hotel and location for the price. But Ive stayed 3 times now and finding a working outlet in my room is always a freaking adventure - I love that the lamps have outlets om them, but so many of them just dont work... What gives?! Also, the gym could use an update.
The whole floor smells like mold then surprise... big black spot in the shower and the ceiling is falling in from apparant water damage. I booked this hotel specifically for the pool which is closed with no warning anywhere. The location is not ideal- plenty of hotels closer to better local amenities. The restaurant didnt have anything the online menu said- terrible trip w children and terrible quality hotel for the price.
The bar staff & front desk Tasha was great. However the room was considered an upgrade. Geez!!! Not so much. The bathroom was dirty. I cleaned it myself. The room itself was a little dusty and OLD. The shuttle driver packed the van. Passengers sitting on laps . Covid does still exist. The driver also told several racial jokes. Certainly not in good taste. Im a gold Hilton member & stay primarily at Hilton. This was the worst. I complained to the manager. Who while in our faces said she was sorry. Stated she would apply a credit for our trouble. I waited 3 days for her to comply. She did not. This only speaks volumes as to what was thought about us the consumer.
Absolutely disgusting bathroom. Red and black mold in the tub and shower head. Bug on the floor. Hair dryer had some unidentified sticky substance on it. When I called for a replacement, the front desk said there was no housekeeping to bring me a new one. This was at 8:30 in the morning. She also told me I couldnt even come to the front desk to get one because she couldnt help me. Phone charger by the bed did not work. This was 16 Feb 2022. I will never stay here again.
Very comfortable hotel. Friendly staff, quiet & very nice location. The only reason I am rating a 4 is that I had a very difficult time finding an available outlet for charging my phone & tablet. Every outlet available was overloaded with 3-4 in room devices. 1 outlet was very, very sketchy, practically came out of the wall when I disconnected my charger as a huge spark/spiked as I plugged it in, wasnt sure if it was safe & usable. My personal feelings are that the rooms are in need of an electrical upgrade, but thats MY personal opinion only.
Our room was clean, comfortable and very nice. The room was no frills and kind of basic, but very pleasant. Nothing in the room was broken, in need of repair or needed a replacement. The hotel bar/restaurant had enjoyable food. Near the front desk is a nice little snack bar with munchies, soft drinks and wine. There is also a delightful coffee cafe. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our stay was pleasant, nice and comfortable. This hotel is across the street from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum and provides a free shuttle. A very nice hotel, a great location and good rates. The Doubletree did not disappoint!
Architectural design of the hotel is worth seeing. The staff are very friendly and professional. In the middle of the heart of downtown. The rooms are well kempt and spacious. Close to the airport and other restaurants. You will be welcomed with very warm and soft cookies. Highly recommended.
This hotel is incredibly dated. The only reason we stayed after seeing our room is bc we had been on the road for 12 hours and simply exhausted. Their price is in no way justified for what the room looks like. The bathroom was yucky. The only positive is the front desk, the woman who helped us was lovely.I wouldn’t stay here again.
I had selected the digital key option and after it was check in time it still said that my selected room was still being prepared. I chose the message hotel option on the app but did not receive a message back until the following day. I went in to the front desk to see what caused the issue of the digital key not coming through. I was told the room I selected had been damaged & we had to be moved to a different room. The woman at the counter was very friendly. The room was ice cold! It was already 20 degrees outside so to come into a warm room would have been nice. The bathroom did not have a vent for heat & remained cold even with the door open & the heat cranked up. The vent in the bathroom didnt work. The bathtub shower rod was rusted. The bed was horrible! It was completely worn & sunken. We were right by the train tracks & had to listen to the train horn all night along with the elevator motor whirling non stop through the night. Needless to say not a good night sleep. The stadium bar & restaurant was a no go. After waiting several minutes because the sign said wait to be seated we were greeted by a gentlemen that told us the room had been rented out & dining by the bar was the only option but he just seated 20 so the wait for 2 of us would be 15 to 20 min. We decided instead of eating there wed take the hotel shuttle. Unbeknownst to us the 2 men on the shuttle were going to the cavs game & were being dropped off first. Traffic was a nightmare & on the way the driver picked up 7 other guest that were heavily intoxicated & loud. It took us 30 min to go one mile to drop off the guest. It would have made more sense for the driver to drop us off & then the men going to the game but for some reason he did not. I recommend you uber or lyft. Definitely should have stayed elsewhere.
The beds and pillows were comfortable, but everything else was pretty rough. Everything was very rundown and not maintained. The “indoor pool” is an empty cement hole full of storage items. A room for 4 had towels for 2, and we were told to wait as more are “first come first served”. The outdoor sitting area was dirty, and the trash was overflowing for days. Staff were rude. Definitely not what I’d expect at a Hilton.
The outside sitting area was never cleaned in the 3 days we were there trash barrel overflowing, cans and trash at the tables out there .pool not open, 300 dollars a night! this place is a joke. oh and 2 bath towels for a 4 person room? The bar was decent enough, the breakfast terrible and way overpriced
It was just okay. My event got canceled in Cleveland and my hotel was not refundable so we figured we would still go and go swimming. Wrong the hotel said they no longer offer any pool services. The room was okay, there was this rip in the wallpaper by the bed. Didn’t see anything too dirty. They do have a restaurant and a coffee shop. They do not offer free breakfast but in the restaurant is a breakfast buffet. The shower is set up really weird though and water goes all over the bathroom. They have warm cookies at the front desk but make sure you ask for them.
We had the most wonderful stay here due to the amazing staff from the restaraunt to the frint desk- specifically Tasha and Tiger. We came here for our sons 9th Birthday to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Tasha was absolutely AMAZING and went out of her way to make our son feel special. She also wrote a list of great restaurants (handwritten!!) and put it under our door. She went the extra mile and we will absolutely stay there again because of Tasha and the wonderful staff. The room was great, with comfortable beds and clean. I can not say enough. They made a special trip even more special and we will always cherish the memories 🥰 Thank you so so much!!!
My husband and I stayed at the DoubleTree in Lakeside Cleveland we enjoyed our stay the staff is very nice and accommodating it was in a great location we visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and then well use the shuttle at the hotel and our driver was very knowledgeable when we told him it was our first visit to Cleveland he showed us all the sites dropped us off at Jacks Casino and then pick this back up after we had dinner at Flannerys it was an awesome say highly recommend will stay again. The only bad thing I could say is that the hotel is very outdated beds are wore out and pillows of seen better days.
I’ve never been in this situation before. We had to move rooms twice because the rooms were filthy. I called customer service who wasn’t any help and left me on hold for 30 minutes hoping I would hang up and eventually hung up on me. I have never been to any hotel this disgusting. We wasted three hours trying to get this all resolved which resulted in me missing one of the events I was in town for.
Horribly disappointed with my recent stay there. Makeup on a towel that was already hanging on a rack, enough soap/toiletries for a baby (there were two adults staying in the room) and front desk personnel who did not but could of handled our original room request. It was ONLY after I complained that they moved our room. Could have all been avoidedWILL NOT BE BACK!!!!
Positive: Great location. Comfortable bed and pillows. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. Front desk staff was very friendly. Free warm cookies. Negative: ELEVATOR IN PARKING GARAGE IS OUT OF ORDER!!! $20.00 per night for a parking garage with NO ELEVATOR. 1 USB port in room & NO electrical outlets available. NO room service. NOT quiet- will hear planes, trains, ambulances and housekeepers.
I am sitting in my room writing this review listening to the people talk in the next room. There is no sound barrier. Ive never seen such a dirty bathroom in a hotel. I took pictures because its so unbelievable. The restaurant was in disrepair. Seats falling apart and rips in the upholstery. I looked up the price of the room and found out that the published price is less than I was charged. The occupancy tonight is low so why did they put us next door to other occupied rooms. So disappointed that our special excursion at a brand we thought we could count on has turned out this way. The staff was very friendly and it is obvious they are doing their best.
Our date of arrival was 10/30/2021. There are so many bad reviews for this hotel that I’m not sure mine will make a difference, but here goes: PLEASE PAY ATTENTION AND DON’T STAY HERE. The honest truth is that even with this property being in a good location and having a nice lobby with nice people working the desk the rooms are filthy. It is true they are dated but it’s much more than that. The baseboards were atrocious. There was a half inch of visible dirt in front of them all around the room. It looked like something had literally been eating some of the furniture and some of it had just been possibly scraped off. The wallpaper was falling off the wall in the bathroom. I plugged in my iPad to charge but found out the outlets on one side of the room didn’t work. We were moved to another room but it was the same…every bad thing was the same (well, not sure about the outlets, we didn’t stay long enough to find out). I have no idea if there were bugs or worse in the room but it wouldn’t surprise me and we could not take a chance. We left, we did get a refund but our weekend was ruined.
This hotel is right by a small airport, which while it was cool to watch jets and helicopters take off, they are really loud at night. Pool is closed. Our shower was clogged. Asked to have our sheets changed while we were at dinner, came back to some sheets sitting in our bed. One the bright side, the bar was nice and the easy in and out parking was nice.
Location: to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was walking distance. Shuttle driver was nice, telling us his hours of service and we still missed getting picked up because we were enjoying the museum so much! Took the shuttle there and walked back. Also walked to dinnerFront Lobby: first impression was greeted by Jas who was lovely explaining everything to us. Disappointed only in the fact that the elevator didnt work in the parking garage that we paid for. Had to take stairs with rolling luggage.Rooms: very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was readily available to accommodate our extra needs! Exercise room was clean and nice with towels, water and free earbudsRestaurants/bar: Judy, Judy, Judy was exceptional - we requested something that wasnt on the menu and she went to work to accommodate us including hand cutting fruit! Tim in the coffee shop made the perfect Starbucks combination and Elle was personable and a sweetheart for breakfast. However I could have passed on the not free breakfast buffet ($16)I could only eat the bacon and eggs. The waffles and potatoes were hard and old....Overall a great stay. Thank You. We will be back!!
This hotel is dated and dirty. The wall paper in our bathroom was visibly peeling off the wall and it appeared mold was growing underneath. The bottom of the bathtub was filthy and other fixtures in the room needed dusting and cleaning. Even the public restrooms downstairs appeared to have missed their regular spot-check cleanings. Luckily I was only in town for 36 hours and didn’t have to spend much time at the hotel. The staff I spoke to about my concerns were nice and cordial, but weren’t interested in taking action. They offered me free parking for the inconvenience, but I didn’t park a car. 🤷I’m a Hilton gold member and have spent my share of time at various Hilton brands, but I won’t be returning to this property.Pros: Good location in downtown Cleveland, has a restaurants and Starbucks inside if you’re desperateCons: In need of a deep cleaning and renovation, more active management, sounds travel
Good stay overall. Friendly staff. Clean facilities and nice decor. It is located very near the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Im taking a star away, though, because the walls are paper thin. The neighbor had an alarm go off on a phone for 5 mins at 5:00a on a Sunday morning. It woke both my wife and I through the wall. Very annoying...especially considering we are normally on Central time. So that was like 4a our time. The night before I could hear the neighbors talking on the other side. So next time, Id ask for a room with no neighbors if possible. Also, the breakfast at the restaurant was meh.
The location is great! Walking distance to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and First Energy Stadium! The staff were friendly and helpful! We didnt use the shuttle at all, but I feel like thats a great amenity to have. The rooms could use some renovations but thats about it. It was the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway!
The architectural design of the hotel is mind blowing. Staff are professional and kind. Hotel is neat and well kempt. Amenities such as gym, restaurant etc are available to ease your stay. Pick up and drop off from hotel to airport and vice versa are prompt. You need a home away from home, then this a place to be. Highly recommended.
I stayed here for a couple nights in November 2021. My thoughts:Pros:-The staff was friendly and helpful.-Its very close to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame (less than a mile walking distance), the Browns stadium, the science museum, and the waterfront, and its a short walk to most downtown businesses.-The hotel restaurant food was fine and was prompt in being served.-A nice selection of TV channels.-Room was clean and had proper amenities (soap, mouthwash, shampoo, etc.). I was easily able to get more if I ran out.Cons:-The walls are paper thin. I could easily hear my neighbors through the wall, and I dont mean just indecipherable murmurs but the actual conversations they were having. That makes it hard to relax after a day of walking around the city.-The computer room, at least when I used it, had three of the four computers out of service. Hopefully that was just a temporary thing.-The pool is no longer there. If you want a hotel with a pool and/or hot tub, look elsewhere.-You have to pay for breakfast, its not included in the bill. There is a Starbucks in the hotel, and a separate breakfast option is served a couple days a week. If you dont feel like either of these options, theres a Dunkin a few blocks down the street which is cheaper, but of course thats not as convenient.-Despite a good TV channel selection, it is lacking an on-screen guide. Also, I dont believe its a smart TV so that means no Netflix, Prime, etc.-The wall plug-ins felt very loose.-The room alarm clock was set to the wrong time (not even daylight savings time, I mean it was hours off) and I couldnt figure out how to change it.-The shower filled up too easily, despite the plug being out.-My room wasnt cleaned on the only full day I was there. Thats not a deal-breaker- I realize many hotels are waiting until people check out before cleaning due to cutting costs/staff shortages. More of a minor nitpick than anything, especially compared to some of the other things mentioned.-The price isnt great- it feels like the only reason it was so high was because of the location, not the actual amenities in the hotel itself.Overall, I didnt really regret staying there because it was close to the Hall of Fame, which was my main reason for the trip. But Ive definitely stayed in better hotels, including other Hiltons.
The hotel is in a good not great location. Nice parking garage attached to it. Elevator from garage to lobby did not work. There is no pool anymore. Was told its permanently closed. Room had a leaking A/C unit (wet floor). Beds were comfortable, in room mini fridge was nice. Also over 100 channels on the TV.
First the positive, the staff was friendly and helpful - both the front desk and the restaurant. The lobby is clean and modern. The beds are comfy! Good location. Now for the “not positive”, our room and the hallways are severely “dated”. Dark, dull, and dingy. There were ants in the bathroom (we kept no food in the room). The baseboards were filthy. The bathtub didn’t drain so you ended up showering with water up to your shins. AND, the smell coming from the dumpster behind the restaurant (we had to walk by it numerous times during our excursions downtown) literally made us gag - we learned to hold our breath and run whenever we had to pass it. Seriously, I’ve never smelled a dead body, but I can’t imagine it being much worse!
Hotel in great location walkable area to rock n roll hall of fame and lakefront. Bed in room horrible big dip in middle. The air conditioner fan very loud when it came on. For the price room tight. pool understandably closed for over a year. They had a restaurant, breakfast buffet food cold and day old. They do have a coin operated washer and dryer which is convenient for guests. Cable great with lots of choices.
Positive: The location was great. Shuttle wad a pleasant surprise and very helpful. Outdoor area was great. Staff were helpful and friendly. Starbucks was a nice addition since there was no where for breakfast Negative: Disappointed in the rooms. Bathroom was on the small side, very poor lighting and locked worn. Low toilet.
This is a great location. The rooms were very clean. The front desk staff, restaurant staff and especially the shuttle driver were amazing. We stayed there for a wedding. There were 6 other large wedding parties staying there PLUS the Air show people this hotel handled it all perfectly
Positive: The location was the best part of this hotel. The experience not so much. Hotel is very rough, under staffed, outdated and not up to par as pictures shown. They parking garage elevator was broken, the 12th floor had a musky mildew smell, Negative: They had some water leak going on. The male bartender was rude and told me that I had to wait until crowd died out to order food. I was a guest and couldnt eat there? There was this one women name.Staff who was so sweet and very helpful!
First room extremely dirty. Went to get another room and this room was also dirty. Due to business obligations another room was not an option. Had to purchase my own sheets from a local store and 2 cans of lysol to feel like I was in a somewhat clean room. Will not be returning here.
Positive: Walking distance to First Energy stadium Negative: All the staffs at the hotel was awesome with the exception of the waitress at the bar. We sat at our table for an hour and she never attempted to even come to our table to take our order. Never even attempted to acknowledge us!!!
The staff was really the only great part about this hotel. When We arrived, the parking structure elevator was broke, but once we finally got inside, check in was easy and the staff was helpful. When we got to our room, it felt a lot smaller than other double tree rooms, and everything we kind of scuffed up, not dirty, just very worn. I feel like a magic eraser and wood crayons could have really done a world of good during the COVID lock down. Also, not really something to hold against a property, but some USB ports would have been very nice.If you are planning on going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, this is a very close location, and they will give you a shuttle ride if you dont want to walk it. However its also close to a smaller airport and train tracks so if you are a light sleeper, dont stay on the side facing the hall of fame.
Positive: Great location! Literally around the corner from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Just a few blocks walking distance. The shuttle bus was so convenient- will drop you off and pick you up. Our driver was helpful to point out different areas of interest. Negative: No - everything was great
Positive: Air conditioning was top of the line and bed was super comfortable. Room had everything I needed. Negative: Very disappointed the pool was closed. It, along with a hot tub, were listed in the advertisement for the room and were the main reason along with the cookie at check-in, that I picked the hotel.
Stayed @ the doubletree and everyone was great, the staff was nice to me (Get a free cookie there) I drank at the bar before I went to the Raiders game. Judy was the coolest bartender I met there. They were cool until the Raiders beat em of course all of a sudden the bar closed on us when we wanted to drink lol. the front desk people the most warming and nicest people i met there. sooo professional 👌. Thank you Cleveland and the DoubleTree for a good time. ✌
Wow! Stayed here about 7 years ago to go to the RRHOF. Back then was pleasantly surprised at the distance of the hotel to the museum. Room was modern, clean and quiet. Staff could have been a bit friendlier but was adequate. I like Doubletree especially for the cookies(do they still do that?). This location didnt have any and didnt seem interested in providing an explanation or substitutions. What made up for that was the room and the lovely view of a cathedral across the street. We were looking to stay again but now probably not due to the current reviews. Im wondering if this is even the same Doubletree because it looks different and theres no mention of the church view or pics anywhere. I know there arent two Doubletrees within walking distance of the museum and Im absolutely positive it was this one because of the cookie issue. Oh well, the search for lodging continues. The only sure thing is change, nothing remains the same...
The beds were comfortable and the overall stay was fine, but the rooms are extremely outdated for the price you pay to stay in this hotel. Our bathroom fan did not work, the sink did not drain properly, and the electrical socket was falling out of the wall. The staff was friendly, but did not respond to our request to check our sink. Investing in some updates in the rooms would make a huge difference in the overall impression of this hotel.
Positive: The only thing I enjoyed about this hotel were the pillows. Everything else sucked! Negative: Their website states they have a pool which they do not. The blinds in our room were broken and wouldn¿t close, there was no parking in the garage so to them giving away the spots to football game attendees and the overall experience was very poor!!!
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. The only complaint I have is that there were signs to smoke in the designated area but there was no designated smoking area. It is very close to the Rock Hall and the pier, which was awesome.
I would not stay in this hotel again. The elevator to the parking garage is out. The front desk told us they have the part to fix it the day we checked in yet 3 days later it doesn’t work. The WiFi does not work in the room. The tv channels do not correspond to the actual channels and there is no guide. The bar will only serve drinks in plastic glasses and the food choices are limited and not particularly good.
The room was nice and comfortable, however charging $20 per night for parking and then no elevator in the parking garage is quite ridiculous. Jazymn at the front desk was very pleasant and Carl from the shuttle service was amazing. I did not get the bartender’s name but service in the restaurant was nice too.
Stayed there last week. Location is great. Rooms were clean and shower is amazing. Upon arriving, we found out that the pool is closed indefinitely (take it off of your amenities, then.) We were looking forward to relaxing by the pool and when my boyfriend asked about pool was told it was closed. That was surprise #1. Surprise #2 - $20 a day for parking. I have never stayed at a hotel and been charged for parking. Surprise #3 - elevator from parking garage was broken the entire time we were there. Laugh of the day? Sign leading to hotel right before the broken elevator saying Were ready for you. Very disappointed. If we couldve changed hotels, we wouldve. Staff at front desk never greeted us other than the first day with a resounding Welcome to our hotel. After that, passed by front desk several times and never got a response. For all they knew, we werent even guests and were just wandering the halls. Definitely not staying here on our next trip to Cleveland.
There were several issues during our stay. First, the in room safes wasnt working, contacted the front desk was told that they didnt have a manager on duty and the managers were the only ones to service safes in the rooms. Therefore, was unable to secure our items. Secondly, the garage elevator wasnt working. Thirdly, the ice machine on our floor wasnt working had to wear for ice machine. Lastly, when you check out you turn the keys in however, you cant get out of the garage unless you have a key or someone from the front desk has to physically come and let you out. when they are busy or short staffed there is no one to do that. One good thing there was a mess up on my part in the dates of the check in safe it was resolved after several phone calls with expedia. The one staff member acted like he was overwhelmed or upset and wasnt very engaging. Suggestions if you continue shuttle services which is appreciated have more than one person driving was stranded at casino after several phone calls to the front desk. Shuttle driver was great very engaging.
Good location for the Browns and R&R HoF, but for the price this was an unclean and dilapidated disappointment. My room was not properly cleaned and the elevator lobby had food dumped in it that no one could be bothered to clean all morning. Spend some more money somewhere else downtown or save some more money with a nicer hotel elsewhere.
We had nothing but trouble here. Phone in the room didnt work, couldnt get local sports on tv(really poor system) potty ran all night, flashing light in both rooms, (we switched the second night) all night, dont eat at the buffet down stairs $16 for soso food. Help was good! the garage elevator didnt work ,so you had to unload and load right there at front door. When we were leaving it was along with 5 other groups! What a mess. Absolutely the worst Hilton Ive ever stayed in.
Me and my family recently stayed here for a week on vacation. For the price, house keeping needs to step it up. We would call for full service and nothing would be done. Would leave for the day and the room was exactly the same as we left. Before someone says something we were out of the room and exploring Cleveland by about 9am every day. Really the only complaint I had, but it was so irritating it left a sour taste in my mouth. Also be prepared to spend A LOT of money if you order from the hotel restaurant. Its cheaper to have things Door Dashed to the room or to just go out. $20 for a burger I couldve made at home? Yeah a bit much, and my favorite $4 for a 12oz bottle of beer. Lesson is, by outside and bring your own food and drink.
This is closer to a 2.5-star hotel. The rooms are old and dingy. The wallpaper is peeling off, the walls have numerous scuff and dirt marks, the tub are stained and have mold. The hallways smell musty. The bed comforter is grey, dingy and I can’t be sure it was washed between customer stays. I didn’t feel clean at this establishment.
We had a great experience at the Doubletree in Cleveland! The woman the front desk was so friendly and welcoming, which was a great first interaction after driving all the way from MN! Our room was clean and comfortable. We visited the restaurant, and while our food took a bit to arrive, it was well-worth the wait. We had a great view from our room, and hotel itself is in a great location. Next time we visited Cleveland this hotel will be at the top of our list of places to stay! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
For us this was a disappointing stay. The bathroom floor was sticky. A pool was advertised yet when asked about it (while we were already in bathing suits) we were told it no longer existed, even though there were pictures of it in the elevator. The shuttle service isnt reliable. Of the staff, Carl was the only one who was pleasant and really helpful. The front desk staff was not thrilled with their job nor did they seem knowledgeable about the area.
One of the reasons I selected this hotel was looking forward to relaxing in the pool after sightseeing. I asked where the pool was and was told it’s closed indefinitely…….the second surprise was that parking was available for $20 per night with no validation or refund .surprise #3 was that in addition to the daily parking fee the garage elevator was out of order for the four days of our visit….lots of fun if you had to park on the upper levels..Apparently guests that arrived after had posted that the elevator was still not in service. A little honesty would have been appreciated so guests making reservations could choose another hotel……👎👎
Felt welcomed the moment we walked in. Room was clean. We had a great view of the lake. It was in walking distance to the Rock and Roll hall of fame. They have a shuttle to take you around and very helpful in giving suggestions on places to eat. Would stay here again.
We celebrated our 1st anniversary at this hotel. From the moment we entered the hotel, the staff, including Poetessa and the cleaning supervisor made us feel good. Our room was nice and the view of Cleveland was lovely. We do recommend that you put TV guides in the rooms. We look forward to our next visit.
Pool was closed and it stormed the day we were going to go to the beach so my kids couldn’t swim at all. Also our two year old knocked her forehead into a pretty sharp corner, so if you’re bribing small children, keep a sharp eye out! We’re all allergic to down so there was a lot of sneezing. Other than that, the view was good and the staff was really friendly! Not great for families, but nice enough.
Great location for a hotel close to great restaurants and bars. The on-site restaurant/bar has a small but decent menu with something for everyone. They need to fix the elevator in the parking garage as you have to take your luggage down flights of stairs which is a safety issue.
One functional outlet in my room, which had the TV and fridge plugged in. All the lamps were unplugged, power outlets shorted. Had to unplug TV to make coffee. This after paying for a upgraded deluxe room. AC has two settings, off or 62 full blast. Carpet was soaked by the vents.
This hotel is in a very good location. The bar on the 1st floor has amazing food and service. Parking is $20 a day and is covered. This hotel is outdated. I was not happy with my stay. We stayed in room 1400, clogged toilet, dust everywhere, cracks on the ceiling and on the bathroom floor. I woke up to a huge cockroach near the curtain on the floor. I would never expect this from Hilton. This is my 1st bad experience from any Hilton property. I did speak with the manager (Alex) he did comp our room for one night. He was nice and apologetic. Unfortunately, I will not recommend this hotel or stay her again.
One night stay passing through Cleveland. We chose it for the location and pool, but pool is still closed. Nice view and comfortable beds. Upon entering, smell of Lysol fresh linen so strong you could taste it. Obviously from disinfecting, but those with allergies to perfume and odors beware. Beds were comfortable. TV remote had no guide and was taped together. No channel listing, so no way to choose what to watch. Only one outlet on desk to charge devices, no usb ports. Freezer in mini fridge needed defrosting-frozen shut. Security lock on door missing piece to latch it. Why rent this room with a broken lock! Many calls to front desk to resolve these issues but not much they could do. No replacement remote,, no channel guide,...As a loyal Hilton Honors member I was unpleasantly surprised and did not enjoy my stay.
For the price it was an OK experience. The room felt dated and dirty. The bed was comfy and the room had a very nice TV. It is well located if you are going to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The bar had friendly staff, but the chairs were ripped up and gave an aged feeling to the place. Overall they need to make an investment in upgrading and cleaning in every corner.
Ive been here for about 2 weeks now with 6 more too go. The staff at the front desk has been great any time Ive needed them. The cleaning crew has been great and stops to check on me every couple days and any time trash or towels are left outside the door its always taken care of. Was away from the hotel for a day to go home and set up a cleaning with the front desk and came back and things were taken care of. Bed is average for a hotel and gets the job done. The mini fridge is iffy on temperature and will have some warmer spots and a place in the fridge area that freezes. The microwave works but the opening button has definitely been abused but you can still pull the door open. I wouldnt hesitate to use the facility again.
High price hotel with no complimentary breakfast, even with COVID restrictions you could still provide grab and go for free, not for another upcharge like the parking, housekeeping.... yes folks, housekeeping is NOT included. Bed was comfortable, floors were quiet and plumbing works.
What an incredible disappointment for our mini staycation. I was positive for the price, we were going to be living large and my 10 year old would see what an experience a hotel downtown would be compared to others in the suburbs. Now, it wasnt The Ritz pricey but almost $200 and I simply expected a fresh, big city kind of night for her. It was filthy, falling apart, dingy, smelly and I could go on. I continued to keep up the anticipation of coming something, anything. I was excited to eat in the restaurant. It smelled great from the lobby. Good grief, I was let down. But this must be said; The hotel manager on duty, a beautiful young woman who immediately impressed me with her knowledge and kindness seemed to be left to tend to all of it alone with the hotel overbooked by 5 rooms. She was poised and professional and that girl is worth a support staff at the very least. If you are reading this, thank you. Youre great. One more, tiny waitress who believed my 35 year old husband was a 12 year old asking for 2 coors lights and made us laugh for a good while. Youre super adorable too. Warrior women!
Thankfully the hotel was not the reason we came to Cleveland... lots of things were broken, parking was expensive, pool out of service indefinitely, and a few staff members were rude/did not read the do not disturb sign on our door??? The only good things I can say is that the shuttle service was good and there were scooters almost always available in front of the hotel to travel the city on (they dont belong to the hotel). Overall, the hotel was overpriced and I think a Red Roof would have given us the EXACT same experience...
When a hotel carries a name such as Hilton Double Tree you would expect it to be updated with modern amenities and a sense of comfort and class. We spent 2 nights at the hotel based on my experience with a Hilton Double Tree in Glasgow, Scotland 2 years ago. Glasgow was up to date with modern appliances, fixtures, beds and just all around upscale feeling and hospitality you wouldnt get anywhere else. My 2 day stay in Cleveland left me with a bad taste in my mouth Honestly, I really wanted to like the place but after taking a step back it became clear that for the price I paid it was not what I received. First off there is no on site Free parking which in the description of the hotel I did not see but you end up paying $20 a night for unsecured parking in the adjacent parking garage and the signs state not responsible for lost or stolen items. Upon entry it looked decent enough to be modern but once again its placement was between the city water works and jails. It didnt even have a pleasant smell to the air quality unlike Glasgow and both the Starbucks and restaurant were closed. The Starbucks is open for a few hours then it shuts down for the day and the bar doesnt open till 2 hours later. I can totally understand if staffing or Covid-19 rules are an issue but they did have a Snack Corner where you could purchase things to snack on in your room but it was never restocked when it ran out of items. Our room when we got to it was small but cozy. I did notice white stains on the chair and told the front desk about it but the chair was never taken from our room. Then when we went to use the TV after being on the road 9 hours we only got a small selection of channels and nothing local to see what was going on in the city or to get a local weather report. After we had told the front desk about it we were told that the Engineer was no where to be found, midday on a monday so we never got the fixed and another person staying there had the same issue. And there where also no USB ports for charging devices only 3 plugs in the whole room. No real coffee pot or enough towels but once again, C19 has made things a bit more difficult. My mom who was traveling with me noticed small flying bugs and a spider web. Honestly for the price we paid it felt like a mediocre hotel wearing a Fancy hotels hat. Dont know if we would recommend anyone going to a double tree after that.
We only stayed for a night but I wish it could have been longer! This location was amazing and perfectly located, the front staff was very friendly and helpful. We received delicious cookies when arrived. We purchased the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame package which is an amazing deal! The room itself was very clean and the pillows and mattress were both amazing! The view of the lake and the city was always very nice. If we ever find ourselves in Cleveland again we will definitely return!
The parking and location of this Doubletree is great! You can easily walk to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (best museum, dont miss--set aside 3+ hours!!!!) but there isnt much else around it. It was fine for a one night stay and nice to have free parking out front on memorial day weekend, though we had expected to pay $20 for garage. We wished there was more than one spot for outlets in the room, and we were only given one full size bath towel. The place you can tell was once really swanky and nice but has aged and not been updated much. Things were pretty much as clean as you would expect/hope from this kind of place (it was fine) and I appreciated their elevator rules of one household and covid safety measures. Also wish there was a TV guide, but the TV was HUGE so that was cool! Bring your chromecast/firestick/apple tv with you otherwise youll be flipping through channels not knowing what show, no guide button on the (weird) remote! Overall a fine place for a one night stopover on a budget, but not sure Id run there to stay again.
The staff was awesome and the location is perfect..close to the waterfront ,Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and a few blocks walk to Progressive field. The hotel is in desperate need of a remodel however. Peeling wallpaper, dirty elevators and generally tired looking. This is the reason for 3 stars.
Ive stayed here twice and I have no complaints. First time I stayed the mini fridge didnt work but they brought me a new one and I had to reprogram the remote myself but other than that I slept like a baby.Everything was clean as far as I could tell and the staff was super nice!!
Check in was quick, got the room and discovered they changed my room from two queen beds to a king. Back down to the lobby and front desk, no apology and received another room with two queen but it was no longer on the Hilton Honors Floor. When I asked additional questions to the front desk, they were very perturbed and assumed I should know the answer even though I have never stated at this hotel.Restaurant service was much better than the front desk and the server answered the questions very nicely and to the best of her ability. Server was very nice and delightful to talk to and food was very tasty.Room was clean. The Concierge Lounge was a wonderful addition to the business trip. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. The happy hour was awesome!Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel!- Concierge was very nice, check in was simple.- Warm cookie at check-in! Or just a dollar to purchase of not a guest (they were good cookies)- Parking garage is a good size.- Room had a wonderful bed, strong AC, large TV, microwave, fridge- Shower was strong and hot- Snacks available for purchase and also a nice room service selection- There is breakfast ($15 for the buffet) - our waitress was great
The only good thing about this hotel was the location other than that, the customer service from the front desk staff was poor. It cost $20 a day to park in their garage. The hotel is in a need for renovation. There were no outlets available beside the bed so an extension cord was plugged in the room which was very weird seeing this in a hotel.
I have never been so disgusted with a 200/night hotel that acted as a 200/hotel but underneath was the motel everyone says stay away from. They should be ashamed of the price charged and the description stated. Our one opportunity for a family adventure using our only funds to make it great for our kids was destroyed by filth and environment, mixed with every disappointment imaginable. This is enough to make mom sob and the kids remember more terrible from the terrible year.
Clean hotel. Coffee shop is open early enough and parking garage is attached. My overall hotel experience was pleasant. The one unfortunate thing I experienced was loud noise outside my room from the neighboring work being done at night. This is also the second time I stayed here with the same night shift workers making noise. It sounds like a garbage truck for several hours in the night.
The rooms were noticeably clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room faced partly water view and partly city view, which was wonderful. Location and their own parking was very convenient.Shower didnt draincorrectly, but they came up within 5 minutes of being called.Down side..... feather pillows.... which we didnt know. Being allergic to feather pillows made for a rough 1 am wake up with allergy issues. Will stay again... but will bring our own pillows.
We were at a wedding last weekend. The food was very good, and the venue was OK, but there was a very heavy woman that was waiting on tables, her shirt was literally 5 times too small, so she had one hand pulling her pants up OR pulling the shirt down to cover the 5 or 6 of skin that was showing all the way around her torso. Very unappetizing!! Cant believe mgt would allow an employee to look like that! Wow!
Went to Cleveland for a small get away with the hubby for the weekend. Decided to stay here because price was great as well as the cleanliness of the hotel. We had a decent experience other then not being able to use the pool due to covid. We would consider going back.
The staff is awesome! I wish I had the names of each staff member I had the pleasure of meeting, including the shuttle drivers. I have never stayed in a hotel that was more accommodating and friendly. The location is terrific for walking to most of the points of interest. If walking isnt your thing the shuttle is readily available to take you and pick you up within a mile radius of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again. 🤘
This place is overall really nice. Staff is super nice (grounds keeper really helpful) bed is incredibly comfy. We rented the king suite. Couple bad things, no door to bedroom and probably the biggest thing, so many unattended children at the pool. Around 20 kids maybe 4 or 5 adults total at the most at any given time. Kids were screaming until 10 when the pool closed. The jacuzzi has a sign no entry under 18, still 5-10 kids in at all times, back and forth between pool and jacuzzi. If your looking for a stress free easy stay this is not it. If your kids are wild and need to burn some energy without little to no supervision. Here’s your place.
It is always a pleasure staying at this hotel. The front desk staff was lovely, and incredibly helpful. The housekeeping staff are polite and courteous, and always willing to help out! The rooms are very clean, and the bathtub is spacious and the hot water plentiful. The only complaint I have is that the mobile key cards dont work with the parking garage yet.
All three photos taken outside. Standing across the street at Cleveland Water Division. Would have given this hotel 3 Stars. Bathroom fan didnt work. Bath room sink was clogged. Not many towels and only one bath robe. (3 Stars good) I gave a 4th star for John the bartender downstairs at Stadium 3 Bar and grille. Great guy! Plus, he has worked here for 25 years so good source of knowledge if you are just visiting.
Nice hotel. Bar is a little lacking and has a strange odor but the rooms were great and had a microwave and refrigerator. Bathrooms were clean. Overall very happy. The shuttle drivers were nice and convenient for the most part. It is maybe 3 blocks from the convention center so very convenient. Would stay here again.
Out of all of the hotels I have been to this one was very nice, they were always always ready to help and provide accommodations for us. The staff were some of the nicest people I have ever met! The lady at the restaurant (in hotel one) was so nice and got us a table for everyone ( a 7+ family) and checked up on us constantly asking if there is anything I needed. The shuttle driver was polite but I come from a small town so I cant judge much (driving wise). Room was nice and clean and I checked corners, even the cleaning people were nice! It was a good experience. (I give it 4 stars only because the one room (we had two) had a toilet problem very very mild but it is an amazing hotel!)
Hotel lobby & amenities are nicely decorated. Amenities included a pool, hot tub, gym, coffee shop, sports bar, dining area & shuttle service around the city (within 1mi). We stayed in an executive suite. Staying in this suite in other Double Tree locations - this one was smaller than others, decor is outdated , bathroom lighting is horrible, zero counter space for toiletries (they literally put toiletries on top of the toilet) & the shower head was covered in mold. The bed was nice, comfortable & very clean. The tv provided in the room was HUGE.. & the large panoramic window overlooking the city was a beautiful touch. The staff lacked luster. Many times we walked into the lobby & my husband said hello before the staff, as they were trying not to make eye contact & had no intent on saying hello. Some , at times didn’t even respond with a hello. We called down to the front desk once & asked for our room to be serviced while we were out.. the staff was rude & actually hung up the phone as my husband said Thank you. Overall, decent hotel for a quick stay. Enjoyed the amenities.. but be aware of the negative possibilities. For us, we’d prob try a different Hilton or a different hotel all together the next time we travel to Cleveland.
This hotel was in a good location. About a minute walk from downtown restaurants and shops. The hotel also offered a shuttle that would take you within 1 km of the hotel property. The hotel staff was quite welcoming. They offered us freshly baked cookies upon arrival. The hotel also has 2 restaurants in it. Our room was just a basic room with 2 queen beds. The tub looked quite old as there were permanent scratch marks all over it. Other than that, the room was great for us!
The room was extremely filthy. Shower was disgusting and there was dust on every surface. The outlets attached to the lamps didnt work which was very inconvenient. The young woman that checked us in mumbled all of the information so much that neither my husband or I had any idea what she had told us and we had already said what more than once so we gave up trying. She did not smile or welcome us in a friendly manner and did not tell us we would be charged for parking overnight, we found that out upon check out. The food ordered from the restaurant room service was not even edible. Pizza ordered from the restaurant was so under cooked all the toppings fell right off the crust when we tried to pick up a piece to eat it and the dough was raw. The eggs were soupy and completely flavorless and the sausage was horrific. We almost always stay at double tree hotels and pay the extra money because we are used to great service, a clean room, comfy bed and high quality restaurants attached. This was the most disappointing stay weve ever experienced anywhere.
Very poor service to the customers. My friend had booked a room who’s 20 years old. They said it has to be someone older than 21. I was standing right next to my friend and told showed them my ID saying I was 21 but they made me make a new reservation which made me pay extra. We also did not feel very welcomed at the place.
We where VERY DISSATISFIED with our visit to the Double tree by Hilton....They have false advertising on their sight..Their is no pool and their is no gym our room was not the cleanest had dust on lamps and the edge of the bathroom floor. Our room was not properly stock with toilet paper we had no liners for our garbage cans their is no guide for the TV for the stations...The afternoon and night staff who work the front desk they need to be replaced nasty additudes and poor customer service.
Free covered parking for guests, nice rooms, very comfortable beds. Great main elevators, but the elevator to parking garage very short. Love that it was on the water but no great view as the parking garage is closest to it. Breakfast was bland, nothing special. Hot tub was not hot. But no problems or issues and they have a free shuttle that will take you places anytime.
Overall, not a bad stay. The location of the hotel was ideal for what we needed. The hotel was not exactly up to the standards Im used to.Check-in was a bit awkward, they couldnt find all of my information and did not recognize at first that Id booked a package that included parking.I was told what time breakfast was open, but then when I arrived in the morning to get a seat I found that they had moved breakfast somewhere else and were opening later, they named a room but did not provide directions. We ended up buying a bagel and coffee from the Starbucks because we couldnt wait an hour for breakfast to open. The staff was friendly overall, the hotel clean in general but the carpet in our room was torn in the corner and the wallpaper was coming off the wall in the bathroom so I believe it may be time for some updates.
When you first enter the property you think that you are entering into a new or newly renovated hotel. Wrong. Lovely lobby and the breakfast area was very nice. Check in was ok and rather then suggesting I get in my car and drive around the property to where my room would be located, he just let me walk with all of my luggage. That is awful customer service. On the walk to the elevator the halls smelled like old cigarette smoke and the elevator took forever. The rooms were clean and the cleaning staff that I passed in the hallway was very nice. They all spoke and smiled. The room was a King, I booked a double but they were not ready (not an issue for me). The room was on the smaller side, it was very clean and the AC worked great during the hot days. While I did not use the pool, I did look at it and it was very nice. I am a Hiltons Honors member and do my best to stay at only Hilton properties. I would come back to this property but might try another one before.
Room was nice and hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. My only complaints are that the room smelled like smoke even though it was supposed to be a non smoking room and the house keeping was knocking on the door to try and clean at 830 am. Other than that everything was fine. The breakfast buffet is amazing, the omelets are huge!
The location of this hotel was excellent. I was in town to visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Doubletree is absolutely within walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff were very friendly. The bathroom was small, but suited our needs just fine. The missing star is due to the fact that there was a slight mildew odor in the air at all times and when we first turned the shower on the water was brown, although the water quickly turned clear. Overall, a pretty nice place to stay.
Our car got towed before we went to the hotel and when we finally arrived at the hotel the staff was over the board accommodating our situation. Karl the shuttle bus driver took us to get our car and stayed with us until we left the impound lot which made us feel safe. Our room was clean and after all that the hot tub was very relaxing.
One of the best Double Trees I have stayed at. The staff at check in was outstanding smiles, very helpful, made me feel very comfortable. The best shuttle service ever. The shuttles will take you any where in the immediate downtown area and and will pick you back up.The cleaning crew did a very good job keeping the rooms neat and clean, they were also very courteous and friendly. The staff and service at this hotel should be a model for other hotels. Wow
Stayed for business and it was excellent. Very friendly staff to help you and clean, comfortable rooms. Pretty close to downtown and theres a shuttle that should be able to pick up and drop off to places within a mile. The breakfast was also better than I expected. Only possible issues I noticed would be that the bathroom (especially the counter) is really small, which could make it difficult for two people sharing a room, and that the microwave is a little dated. Not enough for me to take a star away, by any means. Note: I never had a chance to use the pool or gym, or eat at the restaurant downstairs, so cant really comment on those.
Hotel and room were very clean. Staff has been very friendly and helpful. Room has modern furnishings. Great water pressure in the shower. Love that there is an extra thing on the bedside table to plus in extra things instead of trying to reach behind the bed. Lots of channels on the television service. Hotel has both a restaurant and a Starbucks inside! Easy parking in garage next to hotel and you can get in and out with room key. Overall great hotel!
The hotel was nice. The stadium bar and grill was not really nice the employees were rude to each other. It was really expensive i think it should been free since the restaurant was in the hotel. The restaurant needs to be faster service more helpful. i liked the pool and the hot tub but they need some toys for the kids. fitness room was nice to no complaints on that. other than that. the shuttle bus was nice they were really friendly. i had a nice time at the Double tree hotel
Very nice location. From our room we could see lake Erie. Staff was friendly, we got cookies upon arrival, and we got entrance into the executive lounge which had drinks and appetizers. Its also where we went to eat breakfast, which was very typical, waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, assorted breads and cereals. There is a restaurant downstairs we ate at that was OK. Overall a nice place to stay while on a business trip. I had a charger in my room that wasnt working so I called and they had maintenance come and replace it. He was friendly and in and out quickly.
Hotel is a bit tired, as is the executive lounge, but the staff helped to make up for facilities deficits. The location and shuttle were convenient. Shuttle drivers were cheerful and helpful. Ramon, Mykala, and another young man at the front desk went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out with several problems. The housekeeping and maintenance staff were helpful as well. I was left with the impression that they were an honest and caring staff doing the best they could. I would stay there again for a short time.
The location was perfect for our stay. Short walk to R&R hall of fame and the football stadium. The staff was so helpful and extremely friendly. Parking was a breeze and the free shuttle service was fantastic. No complimentary breakfast, however, they offer an excellent breakfast buffet for $15.00 with cooked to order omelets. The hotel was clean and very quiet. Would definitely return!
The hotel itself is fine. However, the front desk employee was on his phone when we arrived, made eye contact, and then proceeded scrolling on his phone. I said excuse me and without looking up from his phone asked how he could help us. We get checked in and he hands us our room key. The room was dirty (unmade bed, used towels on the ground, etc.). We went back down and the employee didnt apologize or anything, just gave us a new key. Overall it was just unpleasant.
This hotel is old! We passed it up a couple of times because the outside isnt the look we were looking for. Walking in, it looks great and smells fantastic, but its all a facade. It smells old throughout the hallway and in the rooms. There are some upgrades in the room, but it still feels old. Was definitely expecting something else being in downtown Cleveland. Thanks for the cookies though!
The hotel, staff, pool and food were great. The shuttle service made it extremely easy to get around without ever having to worry about parking or directions. Breakfast was great at the grill. Sandwiches at the bar were delicious. Overall we had a great time visiting for 3 nights.
So the day we checked in there legit was a water fall in the office of the lobby however the young lady who took care of us was very professional and I believe she handled the situation very well. She even made us laugh cause she had a very optimistic attitude. I love the location and price.
Pretty decent hotel. Price is much lower than surrounding hotels yet this hotel is close to the same quality. Cons: Rooms are a bit small and a little outdated but still definitely worth the price. Hot tub smelled bad and the water looked murky. Pros: The staff and common areas are exceptional. Pool was alot of fun. Worth the price compared to surrounding hotels. Hotel is also very close to the lake. Had a great stay!
For the price (about $300 for the night) the rooms were small, the bed creaked, and the windows were really dirty. The hotel staff was super, super friendly though. The shuttle driver was great. The lobby was beautiful. The rooms were very quiet (I didnt hear a single peep all night). Parking is also very expensive, but its convenient at least. All in all if there was nothing else available I would stay here again, or if the price was maybe half what I paid it would be a good value.
Stayed as an overnight guest. The rate was very good and the proximity to the rock and roll hall of fame was great. The distance to downtown was walkable but you need to be feeling it (15 mins or so). The bathroom like in many hotel rooms left something to be desired, the temperature controls were tricky and the water came out brown originally. All other aspects of the room were fine
Staff was super friendly. (minus an overworked/overwhelmed bar tender) rooms were nice as well as the lobby. But it wasnt as clean as youd expect from a Hilton Hotel. Little things. Towels soaking up water under ice machines dirty and dirty tables in hallways. It was a nice stay though.
Good of you need a place to stay but not a hotel I would plan to vacation in. The parking garage is connected but not a part of the hotel. It filled up quickly and by 2:00 pm, I was parking in the snow on the roof. Since I was attending a conference, I didnt spend time in the hotel. There was shuttle service to events. Shuttle drivers were nice but not one of them got out of their vehicle to open or close the van door. When we came back to room, we had fresh towels but all of the hotel soaps were gone. No new clean glasses left for us. Beds were very comfortable, though. And heat/air adjustable. No fan in the bathroom. Ok stay.
Booked this through Expedia as a weekend getaway for my husband and I. I’m so glad I didn’t choose to pay in advance. Because when I got there upon presenting my Chime credit card I was told they don’t accept Chime or Cash App cards because it’s considered prepaid. I had a Credit Karma debit card but it would take 3-4 business days to transfer money over. So I left and chose another hotel with no issues. The next day I wake up to Doubletree trying to charge this same Chime card that they don’t accept as payment!!! So which one is it?!?!?!
Decent location of the hotel, but the walls between rooms are paper thin, even on the executive level! The noise was so bad that we checked out at 3:30 in the morning and drive back home so that we could get some sleep. The staff at the restaurant was nice. The staff at the counter working in the evening seemed a little put off that we were there. The lady working the counter at 3:30 am was very nice and did all she could to help us. Also, the air conditioner in the room did not work well, shutting off will before the target temp was reached. The executive lounge is of no benefit. We never did get any service even after sitting at a table for 10 minutes. All in all a very bad experience and we shall not be retuning to this hotel.
The best part about this hotel is the two ladies that work in the bar! They are awesome. My room was dingy. The tub had hair in it when I arrived. The window was covered with some disgusting film inside and out. The price we ended up paying was not what the reservation was for. I wouldn’t have stayed here if it weren’t for an event here. This hotel needs a make over!
Overall really great experience. Room was nice. Bed was comfy. Have tv. SUUUUPER friendly staff. Very accommodating when there was a small issue with my room they moved me into another no questions asked. The only downside was I noticed some of the crew not wearing masks.
The rooms were clean and staff seemed nice. However when I checked in, the clerk asked for my DL and card. Not thinking much about it and also Im tired from my drive I hand them to her. Anyway check in is down, my family and I enjoy our Friday. Saturday morning I wake up with an alert my from bank notifying me that over $300 dollars had been taken from my card. I disputed it but the timing was more than coincidental. The charge was for a different hotel in Cleveland. I had not used my card anywhere else in Cleveland the night before. When my fiancé mentioned it to the morning staff they said it was not the first time they heard something like that happen. I cant remember the girls name who checked me in but she was light skinned and had curly hair. She worked in the evenings. That experience almost ruined our whole stay in Cleveland. I dont suggest the Doubletree by Hilton in downtown Cleveland. They need to investigate their staff. Stealing customers information is not okay. I will not be returning. One bad apple ruins them all.
Recently stayed at this location. Loved it. The staff was refreshingly genuine and friendly; from the restaurant staff downstairs (stadium grill), the staff up in the executive suite lounge, to the front desk (all shifts) to the driver and even the cleaning staff. The bed was absolutely divine, I could have laid in it all day. The rooms were nice and clean, wish they had microwaves. But apart from that and maybe needing to clean the outside of their windows (strictly so we could enjoy their gorgeous location off of Lake Erie more). I could not have asked for more.
The location and staff at the front desk are great. However, the housekeeping must be improved. We stay here and have breakfast every morning for 7 nights. The housekeeping didnt refill the bathroom shampoo couple days. Floor carpet is very dirty though. The waiters at the restaurant are also not very helpful. It took them very long period of time to get cofffee, silverware, water and everything. We have to go get them by ourselves at the staff service area.
Everything was clean and comfortable, as expected. We arrived later at night and it took awhile to check-in, as their computers were taking awhile, which caused a bit of a delay. Being as exhausted as we were, it wasnt exactly the best experience as the check-in took a lot longer than expected, but they did give us warm cookies. Everything else was great as soon as we got to the room. Only thing we noticed was the water pressure from the shower being so powerful that it sprayed everywhere, soaking the floor of the bathroom.

2022-05-18I stayed here with my boyfriend, brother, and our friend. We booked the room so we could all drink in the flats and just Uber back. Upon first arriving at this hotel the last at the front desk was super friendly and kind. She wished me a happy birthday and thanked me for being a honors member. She was very welcoming and I dont think Ive ever really came across someone so kind working front desk! Just with the interaction i had with her. She put a smile on my face. I would highly recommend this hotel to other people and Ill definitely be staying again sometime. Other than the service here the cleanliness of the room and when your first walk in is all very clean and nice. The beds are super comfy, we had booked a room with two queen beds.

2022-01-01Great location and welcoming staff! Available paid parking ($20 to park until 6pm the day of departure with in and out privileges on 12/29/21) was very nice. Although the rooms were fairly quiet, it is time for this Double Tree to be renovated. Furnishings and decor are showing their age and cleanliness is mediocre. With just one night in town, however, it served its purpose

2022-04-05Positive: I was skeptical about getting a room after reading the reviews. Im glad I waited to form my own opinion. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again. Negative: Loved everything about this hotel.

2022-04-01My bestie and I took a trip to Cleveland last weekend and stayed here! Hotel was very quiet and comfortable. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and welcoming. Special shout out to the woman bar tender that took the time to give the best advice for a night out with a printed map (also, really good food). She was spot on, it was so much fun. Also a special shout out to the shuttle driver we had, Carl, super nice guy and a joy to chat with on our ride. Highly recommended this hotel to anyone, great experience and great people.

2022-01-26This hotel is way past its prime, but has GREAT customer service. All the staff I met were friendly and courteous. Also, its in a great location and parking was easy.I also dont recommend breakfast at their coffee shop The Wired Bean unless youre just getting coffee or something prepackaged. The coffee was great. The muffin, however, was supposed to be chocolate chip, but it ended up being cinnamon raisin and tasting like it had been previously frozen.

2022-04-15Not the best. if they had stated prior to us purchasing a 180/night (cheapest room) that the pool was closed due to covid (04/2022) then we would have found literally any other hotel with an open pool. wasn’t the cleanest room. felt grimy. the windows were caked in dirt and residue on both sides, ruining the view. i will say the staff are super friendly. but i can’t say we would be back unless they actually updated their rooms. pretty old.

2022-03-15I really wanted to like this hotel more than I did, but unfortunately, it is extremely outdated & I did not feel safe while staying. The windows leak bad. The floor is unlevel, especially towards the windows. The tub didnt drain well. The toilet took forever to flush & refill. Overall, the rooms were not what I expected for the price that I paid. However, the staff was very friendly & accommodating! The location was great too. Its within walking distance to a lot of places downtown. The shuttle is an added bonus too!

2022-03-23My best friend and I were in town for the CAVS game. I did have to log in for a few meetings at work. Traveling with my work devices I needed proper outlets. I had to crawl under the table and unplug the lamp and microwave to get proper power at the desk. Then I had to move the chair in the room to reach the outlet in order to charge my phone. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of electrical outlets. Nowadays most Hilton hotels provide outlets on the lamps -even the desks have them built in. The best part apart this location is the fact that it’s downtown and they provide a shuttle during certain hours. The staff isn’t the friendliest either. If you are looking for up to date accommodations THIS IS NOT the hotel to book.

2022-04-21Loved the ability to check in to our room on the app before arriving, and the hotel is right downtown Cleveland near lots of restaurants and other venues. Our room had no soap and when we went to the front desk they couldnt find any so had to wait for housekeeping to bring some and all they brought was a facial bar. Our heater also wasnt putting out heat and we had to call about that. Someone did come to our room while we were gone, but it never really got fixed right unfortunately. The room itself was clean and every employee we interacted with was very nice.

2022-04-12Room was clean but showing its wear & tear. It was clean, but rooms and halls were very dark (Complete opposite of reception). Wallpaper peeling all over. Lamps looked bent and worse for the wear. In our room, the hair dryer was gross and missing the switch to turn on. Was in on position so just plugged in to use (but this is a safey hazard). However, staff was fantastic and very friendly. Location was good.
