Mainly because of the taste, ultimate value and the great service. Generally I have trouble eating everything they put on my plate, portions are huge.Covid19 policy you need to wear your mask to be seated. Did I mention they make Great margaritas worth repwating!

All protocols were in place.If you go to Don Rigo, you better be hungry, or ready to carry some home The portions are huge.Chips and salsa start things off, and the salsa is heavy on the cilantro.They have a full bar with a variety of cervezas and tequilas.I personally think a Mexican restaurant should be judged by salsa and tamales, or tamals. As mentioned above, the salsa here was heavy on the cilantro, and also a little thin. The queso was a little thin, too, but had a hearty cheese flavor.The beef taco was large and filled to overflowing with white cheese. The tamal was available in pork or chicken. I tried the chicken, and it was just right. Soft chicken, dense and moist shell, and drizzled with a mild verde sauce.The service was great, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Glad this place is close.
Don Rigo has become our go to Mexican food restaurant. They food is always great and havent had bad service or a bad experience, unlike the other Mexican restaurant down the street.
The gold margaritas were ok, although a mix was used. My husband enjoyed the carnitas. My chili colorado was too spicy. Ive had better. The chilis rellenos were done very well, but the cheese inside was tasteless.We wont be returning.

Waitress tailor red head was very rude and highly unprofessional. I asked a simple question about my order and she was extremely disinterested in providing a helpful service. I understand it was very busy for the duration of my visit, but the hostility was uncalled for. It makes people not want to return!
Don Rigo used to be my go-to place for mexican. Service was always great. I noticed things changing over the last few visits with a general lack of care and professionalism. Last night they were unable to accomodate our party of 10 and finally let us know after we waited for over an hour. Hostess was beyond rude and the cashier was obviously unconcerned. The thing is, they were not even that busy. Lots of empty tables that could have been pushed together. Oh well.

Love this place, both dining in and getting take out. Last night my hubby and I ordered take out and it was so good! He had the Don Rigo enchilada and he said it was delicious. I ordered the seafood burrito and was wowed by how much seafood was actually in this! And for only $13.99. Food was hot, with lots of chips (not stale either) and we actually got what we ordered. Cant say enough good stuff about them :)
There’s a reason this place is highly rated. Service is always wonderful and quick. We have gone here since they opened and they have always been great! Our favorite place! The manager is always asking how things were and making sure the experience is the best! Awesome food and atmosphere!

Stood there for 45 minutes waiting for food and it was sitting there for who knows how long. So now I wasted 45 minutes and have cold food for $60.Also my engine went completely cold so that’s how long I was in there.

The menu is very large, beer selection especially draft is limited, so I got a Jose Gold margarita. Something black looked like a fruit fly was in an ice cube, which there was way too much ice. I never get house margarita cause the stuff is literally made in a bucket with the cheapest tequila possible. So I expect them to have to make the margarita from shots and sour mix. Nope! Even the Jose gold is pre-existing mixed in a bottle in the fridge! In my opinion that is NOT bar tending!! Anyone can pour crap from a jug! That is a cardinal sin with any restaurant, you say youre a bar and grill you better Damn well MAKE the drink thats ordered.As the meal progressed I want once asked if I was okay or how the food was or If my drink was ok even after pushing my full drink away to the bar.

Went here almost weekly as the food was good and you can order it to go. Placed an order online for carry out. Arrive and wait 10 minutes past when my order is supposed to be ready to be told We didnt get any online orders, do you want to wait for it? So 30 minutes after I place my order, its still not ready and told they didnt get any online orders. The point of ordering carry out is so you DONT WAIT. Lost my business and wont be back.

My food was not correct at all. My strawberry margarita came with salt on rim and needless to say it was in my drink.My friend wine glass was just beyond dirty an not once but twice. And asked for a glass of wine and if she lucky it came with maybe a quarter of a glass . Not sure if it was off night or what.
My daughter took us there for my birthday and everything was most excellent! Sat outside and the atmosphere was just awesome as well as the food and margaritas!

We have been dining here since they opened YEARS ago. The food is delicious. I especially love their Arroz con pollo, and enchilada rancheros. Alex is our absolute favorite waiter - but everyone is incredibly friendly and professional! The service is fast, food is always hot and we will be lifetime customers!! 11/10

We go here often and I never have had a bad experience until today. There were four of us. We were seated promptly then it went down hill from there. Kids and my wife almost always order a cherry coke which they make with grenadine.They were told coke only , wouldnt let grandson sub fries for rice ( never been a issue before) we were rushed through and my plate was taken away while I was still eating !We mentioned it at check out and it was blown off with no apologies.I consider myself a good tipper but I really had to make myself today isThis guy has no business waiting tables or dealing with the public.

Ive been here a couple times and honestly it wasnt the greatest but also wasnt bad either. The service was great but the food last time wasnt good and seemed to lack flavor. This could just be a simple case of I ordered the wrong thing as most places have at least one thing they hold as their best seller but for your information the shark tacos are not it. Though for real the service was great.
Had the chimichanga and beef taco, both very good. Had the michelada from the bar which is the best around.
We ordered 3 orders of taquitos & repeated the order 3 times. It was read back correctly, but we got 3 taquitos total for 3 people.! Its Sunday night and Im hungry but not hungry enough to drive back to Don Rigo. Well drive the extra mile to Los Cabos next time.

The connections these waiters make with their customers as well as the service they provide are that which cant truly be put into words. As far as food goes, I have never had a bad meal there! Did take-out for the first time, very pleased. Don Rigo has been one of my favorite Mexican restaurants for a while. Always great food and great service.The idea of take-out Mexican just doesnt seem right, but under the circumstances we gave it a try. It was great! We will be back to dine in as soon we can, but for now we will do take out again.Everything was packaged in aluminum pans with covers, much better than styrofoam. Orders were correct and food was just as good as eating in.

I ate here for my birthday The food was great and the service was terrible, the server never checked on us or cleared the plates I had to ask someone for a refill on my friends coffee, and she said they threw it out and she would have to make more if he wanted to wait 20 minutesI was already aggravated so since she let us sit there so long I started taking 1.00 away from her tip and she never brought the check so we had to wait another 20 to 30 minutes for that, this was my 2nd time there and it was not busy we ate there around 3:00 so it wouldnt be crowded or loud there, and there was only 4 tables of people there and several severs so no excuse for the bad service, the lady ended up with a 1.00 tipAnd it was not a great experience like the 1st, time

Great beers on draft. El Burrito Barzon is delicious. They started me out with salsa and tortilla chips and their was plenty left over for my entree. Paid for two dinners a 320z draft beer and a margarita and it was just under $40. I love this place.

Honestly this place is sort of starting to go down hill. It use to be a good Mexican restaurant but today we went there and my mothers burritos had the most watery white cheese Ive ever seen. Im convinced its not supposed to be like that because most Mexican restaurants, there cheese is a little more consistent. But I could be wrong it could be possibly that it was supposed to be like that I dont know 🤷♂️ I dont want to make any assumptions. But other then this occasion it was good. Good food, good waiters, just needs better cooks I think?

I absolutely love the Amelia location. Took a friend there today for lunch because I send her pictures of all my delicious meals. AND she loved it too!!!!!!! I have always gotten great food and service. Ive eaten at the 5mile location and it was just as good!!!!! Im usually there once a week and until they piss me off Ill keep going back!!!!!!!😉
If you like true Mexican food you can get no better. The service is great and food portions are great for the price. Last time I was there we sat in the back and there was an unruly group of women who just couldnt keep there voices to a low roar. I asked if we could be moved an they moved us with no problems. Only thing I can say about this is if they have groups like this in future that disturb other customers they should be nicely asked by the manager to please keep it down. This doesnt happen often but it did put a damper on our meal. I really do love this place.
This place has decent food, but the Amelia locations waiters need some lessons in common courtesy. Little rough around the edges... The food will be out lighting fast, and the drinks are pretty good. I hear the 5 Mile location is better...
Will NEVER go here again. My daughter wanted my husband and I to try this place and what a disaster. We got seated at 745. We got our drinks around 800 which was understandable for the crowd. Around 815 when he still didnt come back over to take our order as he was passing we told him we were ready to order. His response was I am busy at 830 after being seated for 45 minutes when we witnessed our waiter taking two other orders from tables who had just been seated for about ten minutes we were done. We proceeded to get up and leave and then he wanted to take our order. Too late! When it comes to service this place is awful. I will never spend a dime here!

This place is so incredibly comfortable and cute. The workers were very nice and had a great attitude. The prices are really affordable, the food comes out in an instant, and it all seemed to be just cooked and some even sizzling still. The food was sooo good, just like homemade. Definitely give this place a go.

Ordered our food online for my daughter’s birthday and when we arrived 30 minutes later as the website said they could not find our order. Gave them the order number and they said it will be a little bit longer and 40 minutes later still no food. People were walking up placing orders and getting their food. Thanks for ruining my daughters birthday!

This place has been the Mexican restaurant of choice for my wife and I since it has opened. The service is always friendly, seating is fast and most importantly the food is great as is the pricing, plus it’s nice and clean. Drinks from the bar are always tasty and priced right as well. Been to this restaurant four times, and three of them were very good experiences. One was not. More on that in a second.The prices are comparable to other Mexican joints. Service is on par, and the servers are friendly. The food is good, for the most part.The one exception, and the reason for the knocked star, was that our last visit to here was not on par with the other experiences. I ordered a shredded beef burrito, and, honestly, I couldnt finish it. The wrapper was absolutely soggy, almost like they dipped the thing in water. That sticky, gooey texture for a burrito wrapper was just not appealing.I was disappointed by this visit, and it wasnt in line with previous experiences. All of the times we have been there were for lunch, and it wasnt busy. My girl got a chimichanga, and she also found it to be below expectation.now, this was just on this one visit. Our other visits were good. it may have been an off day for the kitchen staff, or it could be a sign that maybe their quality is diminishing. I really dont know. However, I do not recommend that you avoid this place. At least give it a shot.

Good food. We go a lot, usually no problem. Was there 12-21-18 had a very rude server who rushed us and stared us down after we ate so we would leave and he could have the table free. He sucked.

My visit was not good dont get me wrong the food was good but the service sucked the waitress was way to fast and didnt wait and listen. We tried to order a pitcher of beer since it was on the menu and we were told they didnt have it at this location so we ordered a beer but got charged for a pitcher of beer wanted to order a daiquiri and we didnt desided yet so the waitress just brought one out that we didnt want so she changed it but we had to pay a $2 fee because she didnt wait and listen I dont think I will go back we got overcharged for our drinks and the waitress was not friendly at all, I dont think rolling your eyes at customers is a professional way of doing business

The staff is very friendly and the inside is nice and clean, but the food is definitely not the greatest. The last thing I got from there was the Aztec soup and the entire top of it was just oil and didnt have a good flavor at all. I ate barely any of it.

Im giving this place 2 stars because the waitress was awesome. Thats it. My food was cold. There was hardly any alcohol in the margarita. While eating, the two hostesses were playing karate kid or something and kicking at each other in the front of house. They sat our waitress a party with no help. When we went to pay, the hostess was ringing out someone else and while that guest was signing the receipt, she looked at my wife and said I can take that. And your card. Reaching over top the guest signing. Then hands my wife the receipt and STARTS TEXTING! No thanks for coming in. No have a good night. Nothing! We will NOT be back.

Lets see where to begin. The chips were greasy with no salt. The lettuce in the fajitas we ordered was old and starting to brown. The meat in the fajita was over cooked. The coke in my drink was flat, the margarita was a syrupy mess. To much margarita mix? Should I continue. Guess not. Nuff said.

I have had a lot of margaritas in my time and Don Rogos is my all time favorite! I don’t even live near this location anymore but I drive out of my way to this one when I want a good maragarita.

Fairly good food. But made up for with a nice environment. Very festive and well decorated. Just a nice little place to grab a bite and a drink. Well stocked bar and giant margaritas. Good times..

I have ordered and received a burrito with chicken, peppers and onions many times. I called to order it today and just because its not a burrito listed on the menu it was very confusing for them. I got to the point where I just hung up and went to Los Cabos to get it. I guess it just depends who answers the phone? Never had the issue before but if its that hard to get chicken fajitas in a burrito I will continue to go to a place that can do it.
Food was good. both times I had takeout and both times I had to go back for missing items

My absolute favorite Mexican restaurant. The burrito el barazon is the greatest thing ever. Food is tasty and authentic. Great service. Classy atmosphere .. not tacky. If I could, I’d eat there everyday. Yummmm
Just your average Mexican restaurant. Decent food, decent drinks. The bar area is a nice place to watch the game and the servers are always friendly.

We visited on a weekend night and had no problem getting a table, our waiter was friendly and attentive, the chips and salsa was very good, I had the tacos which were yummy. Reasonable prices, would return!

Although the place was packed on a Saturday night, our service was prompt and the food was excellent. This is some of the best Mexican food Ive had.
My new favorite restaurant food is awesome and service is great, a wonderful dining experience.
My husband and I really like to go here for great food and nice servers. Every one should go give it a try. But the food in Amelia is better than the Don Rigos in Anderson.
Excellent food. Good atmosphere, good service. Would highly recommend this restaurant. We are from Muskegon, Michigan. Will come back when visiting again.

2022-06-27I know so many restaurants that have been impacted by the economy, lack of workers, etc.... NOT this place!! Busy Friday evening but we were seated right away. We ordered some dip and drinks and went ahead and ordered our entrees as well.... OMG. The food was amazing and all at our table within 10 minutes of our order. The server kept an eye on us and made sure drinks were full and we were happy.I counted over a dozen workers bustling through the restaurant doing the same for their guests. The staff treats the customers like gold, the food was top notch and the drinks were fantastic. I would highly recommend this place for a night out!!

2021-07-11Nicely decorated and delicious food! The complimentary chips and salsa were tasty and the salsa was one of our faves since it wasnt chunky. I had the chicken fajitas and my husband had the Burrito Loco. It was a lot of food! The chicken was tender and everything was very flavorful. Service was on the slow side, but the restaurant was busy and our server was taking care of multiple tables.

2022-02-22If they accept your order online, then its going to be good. Never had a problem with my take out and always good!! Parking could be better but they have to share spaces.Edit* had to come back and take a couple stars. I placed a pick up order they said 40 mins I went up there and waited an hour to find out they lost my order and had to remake it.

2022-06-09Had a really good dinner celebrating family birthdays. Storm rolled in and electric went out, but staff was still very attentive. Wish I would have gotten the waiters name, he was very nice and took care that we all had a good time.

2022-06-05Affordable and delicious plus youll have food to take home this is definitely a place you want to visit. This is the better location to visit based on my past experiences. Great atmosphere and the staff was friendly prompt and polite and it didnt kill my wallet either to give him a good tip.

2022-05-22The food was pretty good. Ordered a few daiquiris which were good too. The drinks were pricey but that is typical of any alcoholic drink in a restaurant; hence why my bill was so high. The staff was very friendly and efficient too! This is the third time Ive been to this location (pre and post covid). Previously Ive found coupons in the Reach mailer and I think on the back of the local kroger receipts.

2022-05-13Quality of the food has really gone down hill. Almost tastes like its pre-made and then microwaved. Used to be one of my favorite restaurants but not anymore. Ordered a medium and large strawberry margarita and the waitress charged us for 2 larges. Didnt taste like it had any alcohol in them. Queso was thin like water and salsa had no zip to it.

2021-02-06I feel like Im at home. The staff at Don Rigos, makes you feel like family. The food Id always top notch, and the service never lets you down. I like the Fajita Nachos and a giant Margarita.
