I am updating my review. It was a 5 star review before and continues to be five stars. We have eaten in a few times and takeout many times. I have never had anything but excellent food. If anyone suggests Mexican this is our automatic go to!
Friendly, exceptionally quick service, very tastey dinner for 3. Best Tacos that I have ever eaten. One member noted they prefer their nacho chips thinner, but didnt stop them from consuming theirfair share. Clean facility & courteous staff with great menu variety & good pricing. Margareta was great too.

Ive been searching for (15) years for a good seafood chimichanga and I found it here.The sauce on it is excellent too.We had a great experience there.Chips and salsa were delicious too.Im already craving the seafood chimichanga and its only been 3 days. Yummy.
Our food was so good! It was super busy, but our wait was short for everything! And our waitress and the other employees never forgot about us, stopping by to check on us to c if we needed anything, it was really great! Oh and yummmm on the margaritas!! Sooo good!!
My husband and I went to Don Ramons for lunch on 9/16. It was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Speedy Gonzalez lunch meal and my husband ordered a lunch burrito. Large portions for a small price. Would recommend!
My wife had a taco salad and the chicken was very fatty and not cut. It looked like it wasnt chicken breast. My chicken fajitas were ok. My chicken was cut into very small strips but it tasted good. I definitely like the food at the Parma Hts. location better.

Finally good Mexican food in Ohio! Wife and I moved here a few months ago and have finally found our go to spot for Mexican. The place is very clean, wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, really popped with flavor - even the rice. Salsa and guacamole legit felt like it was made fresh. Queso was tastey. The fried ice cream was ridiculously good too. Will go probably once a week at least now.

To die for!! This soup is sooooo good, a must try, it was a perfect match for today’s weather. I ordered this soup Togo and put it in a bowl when I got home hence why it looks like I cooked this myself but I did not lol. Definitely check this place out.

Awesome food. Its a nice low light ambience with Mexican art on the walls. The food comes quick likes in 10-15 mins. Food comes in large quantities so be ready to eat. If you dont eat spicy, dont order anything above low spice level.
We were there last night for dinner for the first time and food was really good. I normally love Mexican food and this place didn’t disappoint me at all. Even kids enjoyed it to their fullest too. Definitely recommended for good quality Mexican food with great service.
This is my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant around! The food is a great value and has amazing flavor! Their salsa is addicting and you know you can trust a restaurant when they give you free chips and salsa! I’ve been coming here for years and will continue to do so when I am craving Mexican.

1 out of ten I would give them a 7. 5 out of that 7 would go to the cleanliness of the place and the out standing of the staff,waiters were out of this world very attentive. 2 for the food it was tasteless they need to put more flavor into their food. Iam use to better quality of food,rich in flavor and more authentic. If I were to go back it would be for thier margaritas,chips and salsa.
My favorite place to go to for a delicious meal!! The chorizo cheese dip is SO good and they give you warm tortillas to enjoy with it.

Don Ramons is what I come to expect from a traditional Mexican restaurant. First off, the staff is always friendly. I have never had a poor wait staff experience. Second, they have a big variety of options on the menu. From, steak, chicken, shrimp, lobster, chorizo, and pork. Even vegetarian options. The portions are more than adequate and the prices are very fair. This trip I ordered the Cheese steak Burrito. It was filled with sliced steak, peppers, onions, and mushrooms and then covered with Don Ramons cheese sauce. Topped with lettuce and fresh Pico de Gallo and paired with rice and beans. Everything was perfectly cooked and the meal came out piping hot. I would definitely get this dish again the future.

This is a really neat place to eat. The dining room is made up of several rooms that are large and tables spread far apart. The decor makes you feel as if you are in Mexico. The house Margarita was very good. They have a nice selection of Margaritas and other mixed drinks. The food was amazing! The chicken in my fajita was tender. The staff was very friendly. Our server stopped by often to check on us. We will definitely be back again.

I had the Speedy Gonzalez: one taco, one enchilada, and rice (or beans). It was during their lunch hour so it was a special and only $6.29. Food was alright. For me it was kind of lacking in flavor and a bit salty but not bad for the price.

Great staff, very friendly attentive servers & a good menu of well-made Mexican standards.This is my Dads fav place; my personal Mexican palate is a bit more towards the more modern Mexican, so allow me to share my favs off this menu:The Street Tacos - you get 3, but they all have to be the same protein (Id prefer a mix & match.) I usually get the steak & ask them to add some cheese. The winner in this dish is the AMAZING in-house made green tomatillo salsa that comes with it as a side! It has tremendous depth of flavor and a delayed nice extra kick of heat 🔥. Consider ordering that salsa as a side for your chips or meal!My other recommendation is the Chile Rellenos - some of the best Ive EVER had! You can order a side with 3 huge chilis for $10 or get one in any one of the many combo meals.
Definitely not authentic Mexican food, beans tasted like they came straight out of a can, also lima beans in the rice for some reason??? The waiter was very helpful but took my food away when I wasnt done eating. Also a very clean but I dont recommend if you are looking for authentic Mexican food.
Went for my friends birthday, it was delicious and the staff were wonderful. Our waiter was awesome and so attentive, and the manager was helping out and very visual. We had the party room in the back which was very nice. Lots of space. Great time! I live right by the Parma Heights one and love it there too. I will be back to both!!!

Everything weve ever had has been wonderful and the service is always great!Seriously, the only complaint I could try to think of is Modelo Negra should not be served with a lime: dark beer is not fruited. Maybe serve it with the lime on the side.Otherwise... INCREDIBLE!!!

The chips and house made salsa help show these guys know what the traditional Mexican restaurant hospitality is. Blows me away that there are some places that charge just shy of $5 for Sysco-sold premade versions of the same...

Drinks were delicious but the food is just so-so. Way too much cheese sauce on the dishes, rice was very mushy and overcooked, the steak and chicken from the grill had very little flavor and tasted pre-made. The food overall was just very bland.

My husband and I moved to Ohio a year ago from California and have been searching for a good Mexican restaurant, weve been greatly disappointed by all of them, but Don Ramons in West Lake... Total game changer. Not only was the food AMAZING, but the service was INCREDIBLE. Jay, our server, was by far the best server weve had EVER. Super on top of everything and just so great! So glad weve found our go to mex restaurant. INCREDIBLE!!!

It was fine, the chicken dish I got could have used a bit more seasoning. Service was a little slow, but she seemed to be the only one on the floor. The guacamole and the queso were really good though.

Consistent quality - best Mexican restaurant in the west side suburbs. New remodel is beautiful and the new bar area is spacious and a great addition to the restaurant. Remember their is rear parking and entrance. Its easier to park than out front. Been their multiple times and never a bad meal.

I typically dont prefer Mexican food. With that being said, while driving to a different area restaurant the aroma from here made me turn around and visit. Some of the best food Ive ever had regardless of what type of restaurant. The staff was the friendliest Ive encountered anywhere. The service was nothing short of amazing. If you have a bad experience there, you may be the problem.

Got the lunch fajita and there was literally like no chicken in it mostly peppers and onions. You get no rice, only beans which idk why because rice is literally the cheapest food ever. The food was bland and the “guacamole salad” they give you was mostly lettuce with like a spoonful of guac def not worth 10.99 will not be going back here ever again

This place is still has the best fajitas! They are not all oily and slimy like the other restaurants in the area. The chicken is seasoned really well. The hot salsa is nice and thick now. The mild salsa is great too though they only bring out one bowl with the chips 😕 ,and not a jar to refill the bowl like other restaurants. We spent about $5 more than we would for the same items at other Mexican restaurants (for 2 people). Fast service for lunch on a Sunday.

Although the wait was quite long due to today being Cinco de Mayo, the food and the service from the waitress Marisol, along with the 2 margaritas & 2 shots of Suavecito Tequila instead of my usual Don Julio Reposado tequila (Suavecito is the managers, Enriques favorite tequila, for whom I bought the 2nd shots for - he & I), the food was absolutely impeccable!I will DEFINITELY ask for Marisol when I go back (I definitely will👍!) & hope to buy Enrique & I another shot of the very smooth Suavecito tequila which Marisol sold me on! I thought the food was good Mexican restaurant food but I really appreciated the service. Our waitress was super nice and noticed gift bags for a birthday and asked me about it. I told her it was a birthday but the person didnt want to be sung to so we kept it quiet. Well she still brought out a nice dessert...just quietly:-)

Mexican food here local in Westlake Oh is so good and original Mexican food. I had my favorite Chicken Chimichanga and it was amazingly good. The quality of food her is great and the fast service especially for lunch time when you dont have a lot of time was awesome. You must stop in this place to experience what I did. Having realized I had not eaten , I left my appointment at CCF in Avon very hungry. Entering Mexican food near me , I found what seemed to be an excellent place near by. The reviews praised the cuisine and the wait staff. Don Ramon did not disappoint. My server, Yoly, explained that the menu was more geared towards TexMex. She did point out a menu item, Ench Postosi. The Cactus was cooked perfectly and the meal was excellent. If you are in the area or near, I suggest you stop in ! Ask for Yoly. She is warm, funny and very informative. Maybe next time you might have El Pasteur on the menu, as there were two of us who asked for it.

The food was okay. We ordered the house margarita. It tasted watered down, but finished it anyway. When we got home, 15 minutes later, we blew .014 on a breathalyzer. What does this mean? It means there was minimal alcohol in a 64 oz. pitcher of margarita which cost $21.65. You do the math. Bottom line, it is simply not worth it!!! You would probably get a better buzz from a 12 oz. beer and still save!

Great food and great service! I order the flaming cheese fajitas everytime, they are addicting! They also have this special margarita where they use Jim beam apple and Fireball. FAVORITE.

I’m from Texas, sooo I know what good Mexican food is. This place is by far the best Mexican food in Ohio !!!!!! Loved everything we ordered. Also unlike most places in Ohio, our meal came with chips and salsa. Great great great food.
The food was okay at Don Ramons in Westlake. There were lots of places to park in front and back of the restaurant. The inside was very clean and I was seated and waited on promptly. I was pleased with my overall dining experience at this location...

Food was amazing. Great place to go for for lunch during the week. We were in and out in under 40 mins. The staff was very attentive. The supreme nachos were great.

Delicious, simple Mexican dishes served by pleasant and attentive wait staff. We have been eating here and having them cater simple affairs for several years and have never been disappointed.
First time I ate there it was good. Second time there was a chicken bone in my food. No apology after I reported it. Not like I was looking to get a free meal but it seemed like no big deal to them.
This is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants on the West Side. The staff is warm and friendly, the food delicious, and the portion size adequate. I visit here at least once a month.
Dom Ramon is great when they get the order right. Unfortunately, they dont get it right that often which usually means missing or incorrect items even when you order in. If you are ordering take out, check your order before you leave the restaurant.

Great little mexican gem with a huge variety and many classic dishes. The prices are good and we liked the family-owned authentic vibe.
The food was great, service excellant, pricing average. I would recommend this establishment to anyone wanting good Mexican food at a reasonable price and good atmosphere. Its in the same plaza as Aldis, in Westlake.
They have your typical Mexican menu items, food is always decent with quick service - the place is very clean and accommodating for small and larger parties.

Ive been coming here for years and Ive never once been disappointed.Edited to add a month after my original review: I finally remembered to take a picture of my usual order tonight! Enchiladas verdes, but I get a side of refried beans instead of the veg pile. Always amazing. Rachel is a wonderful server.

2022-06-12My husband and I ate here for the first time. This is authentic! The beans had flavor as a lot of places dont. 😋 I ordered the Molcajete and my husband had chicken with rice/ beans instead of veggie. 😋 😋 😋 This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant weve eaten at since El Paso. I loved everything. We will definitely stop in while in town. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive as well!

2022-04-09Excellent dinner. First time I went for the Molcajete with the nopal cactus. Split it with the wife plus a taquitos entree. Unbelievably good. Service was king. Fantastic Friday dinner.Unmask your staff please and thank you.
