Beautiful building and residence are great. The work atmosphere amongst the workers and office heads is terrible. Nepotism, kills the opportunity for good aides to voice concerns in the workplace without being in fear of termination.Their scheduler adds workers to their opposite shifts than marks them as call offs to present the work day or night as full. Very unprofessional and rude.
I went to this building to care for a Patient on my service. This nursing staff was so helpful and kind. They really care about the well being and safety of their patients! I was highly impressed with how easily I could find the items I needed and how the staff treated the patients.
Aides are good and do the best they can , you will not get to take ANY of your breaks ....only lunch break because the work load is so muxh . There is no set schedule for therapy so they literally come and tell you they need the residents immediately, giving you no time to get the person ready , you have to get residents down to dialysis YOURSELF help get them weighed and then go get them when done on top of working short. The Nurses look down on the aides and will not help. The unit nurse has a VERY NASTY ATTITUDE. and i for the life of me dont understand how someone with such a nasty disposition can have a position like this . The cigarette breaks are RIDICULOUS! While on shift i counted one nurse went out ELEVEN times in one shift went outto smoke five times by 11oclock....this is NOT a good place to work.

2020-11-20I have truly enjoyed my time here at The Laurels. The Activities department has always done a great job of keeping me busy with many different and exciting things to do. In particular, Jan the Activities Director is always someone I can count on. She is always there to listen. She visits me often and will help me in any manner she can. She has tried very hard to keep things entertaining during this past year.

2020-01-19I was a patient at the Laurels for a year following a car wreck.I hit my head, I broke my left hip, my left hand and arm and my ribs and shattered my right leg, I had to have my leg removed.I was cared for by the staff 24 hrs a day. Getting washed, diapers changed, help w dressing and feeding meals. I am also a type 1 diabetic since I was a child. My medications were administered and insulin and sugar levels monitored.I can honestly say I was well taken care of in all ways. The staff was wonderful, they were patient and understanding. I felt as comfortable as possible and I felt safe. The therapy I had for a year and still ongoing, well, they saved my life.I had an eye surgery over a year later and by my choice, I went back to the Laurels for a week stay.I have a family member who works there but, I always appreciated, that I did not get any favors. I had to wait my turn for meds, I got yelled at for smoking by the front door. I always believed that was fair, especially to the other residents.I made many wonderful friends there with staff and residents. People that I still talk to an I consider friends. It is a pleasure to go back there for therapy to see them all.

2021-06-11I would recommend HOA/ Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. It can be overwhelming managing the care of a loved one suffering from a serious condition. The staff at HOF have given my loved one rehabilitation regiments that fit with his unique condition, as well as giving him friendly and thoughtful care. I have found their business management team equally helpful with insurance forms and specialized medicine when that was needed. Two thumbs up!

2020-11-13This last year has been a hard year for me with the passing of my wife and being confined due to COVID 19. However, The Laurels has been so compassionate and caring towards my needs and concerns that it has greatly lessened the hardship of this time. Jan, Scott, and Dan have checked on me daily and provided me with encouraging words and a willing ear to listen. My STNA, Robert always greets me with a smile and will help in anyway necessary. In therapy, Rachel has kept me motivated and working hard...even when I wasnt feeling like it. I am thankful for the all of the kind and caring people who have helped me here at The Laurels of Canton.

2020-02-11I have been in healthcare for 35+ years. Several included in nursing home care. I still actively work in a hospital.I have family in Laurels which came there for rehab. I have read the reviews for this place. I really thought the bad reviews were over stated and people were being rediculous. Then I went there and saw for myself. The room was a mess. No sheets on the bed. My family is confined to the bed or wheelchair. She cannot clean her room herself. When she returned from rehab, her sheets and dirty clothes were still on the floor. A full dirty bed pan with stool still in it. I am appalled at the care. I would Never leave a room like that. You clean it and make it better for your patient. This is her home right now. Would you want to be left like that?Joint commission would have a cow if they walked in and saw that. Dietary and rehab have been great. But seeing that my fellow professional staff is giving the care my family member is receiving, that is disappointing. Shame on you.

2020-11-02I have always enjoyed working with the Laurels of Canton. The nursing aides are impressive, Christine in Social Services is great to work with and recognizes when patients need hospice. And its always a pleasure talking with Sheri when she answers the phone.

2020-12-23I used to work here and was terminated, so by all means, take this as a disgruntled employee rant. Getting fired has been the best thing thats ever happened to me in this facility.Do not send your loved ones here. The things I have seen in this facility are atrocious and criminal. Because no recording devices are allowed due to HIPAA, no one can prove anything, and administration knows that. There is a reason administration is constantly replaced and this facility changes hands so often. I will say it one more time;do not send your loved ones here. Prison would likely be safer (and cheaper). For reference, this review is specifically for the laurels of canton, the previous name of the facility. I am unfamiliar with the new owners and unaware of any changes made.

Was supposed to get rehab never got it but one time. My daughter finally came and took me to hospital where it was determined I had a sever staff infection!! Please please do not send your loved one to this place.

2020-01-08Terrible place.Nurse gave me talk to hand when asking why my mom had been sitting in feces when I got there and no oxygen connected to her.filthy place. Needless to say they were reported she contracted Cdiff there also .They make it look good for open house but nothing like I seen when I took a tour.Make sure you are on it and check on your loved ones like I did everyday.
