Deweys Pizza in other cities:
Great food with a helpful and friendly staff. We are around 2PM and the place was quiet - but the staff treated us well and as if we were important. The calzone was huge with a flaky crust and well seasoned meats & cheeses inside. The salads and pizzas are well made and the wait time was more than reasonable.
OMG this pizza! I just got a plain cheese pizza, the crust, sauce and cheese all had that perfect amount of flavor and spices. It was so good, the sauce had the perfect blend of spices, the crust was the right amount of soft with a bit of a crisp to it. Im definitely looking forward to getting Deweys again. My husband got the calzone (only half shown in the photo), hes had Deweys before and absolutely loves their calzones. Great place to go with friends and family, great atmosphere, very open and light.
Good food, comfortable atmosphere, friendly service. Lacking cheaper priced lunch specials that would attract more of the local business employees during weekday lunch times. A full calzone and side salad is too much food and money for what Id ideally like to spend at lunch. Half calzone and side salad combo for under $10 would be a suggestion.Fun lunch hack! You want a pizza but dont want to spend $15 for the smallest size? Get the calzone! Its the whole pizza folded in half for half the price! Add a glass of water and you now have pizza for under $10 after tax exluding tip.
I guess that this is what they consider to be extra cheese. (Pic on google maps) I also had to make sure to request extra walnuts and gorgonzola to the salad because the last time I had the salad...it did not have many walnuts or much cheese. In my opinion...it is typically pretty tough to screw up pizza. This was pretty disappointing because usually the food here is great. Even though I am quite disappointed with the pizza--the salad was delicious--AND actually HAD the extra walnuts and gorgonzola for which I had paid extra.
We really like their pizza!! The service is always amazing, super friendly staff. Harvest pizza used to be our top pick for pizza but lately we have been coming here due to the better service and overall experience. Sometimes it can take a little bit for to go orders to be ready but understandable since it can get very busy. Our to go orders have always been perfect with no issues. It is great that you can pay when ordering to go and just pick up and get going. I also think they’ll bring your to go order to the car if you are not wanting to walk inside. They have a good variety of beer on tap. Something they can improve on is their non alcoholic drink selection. Parking is very convenient. We will continue to come back.
Stopped in with my wife and son and had a great time! Service was great and our pizza was phenomenal! Nice selection of local craft beer that pair well with the pizzas. For parents: very clean restaurant, all staff observing pandemic protocols, changing tables for babies in both bathrooms.
Nice neighborhood feel, excellent pizza including a gluten free crust option. Service was great, and they were able to seat our table of eight quickly. I had the Edgar Allen Poe pizza and the candied walnut and grape salad, and both were excellent. Atmosphere is not quite as nice as the Worthington location... Its a bit open and loud... but still an overall great pizza dining experience.
Incredible pizza, but even better staff! The hospitality I received tonight was well above expectations. You get the vibe that the workers here truly care about the customers and enjoy working at Dewey’s.Not only have I been enjoying their pizza for the last few years, but I occasionally buy their dough for my pizza oven at home. The dough is LEGIT and very reasonably priced; best dough for making your own pizza pies at home.Support Dewey’s; you won’t regret it!
Painfully average pizza. Nothing bad or amazing about it just very basic pizza. Honestly Ive had better pizzas from Little Caesars or Pizza Hut which I try avoid if possible but are still decent pizza places. I was so disappointed to find out how ridiculously generic Deweys is. Thin dough that lacks flavor, and sauce just tastes like every red sauce out there. I had high hopes since it was one of the highest rated pizza places in Dublin. Ill keep trying other pizza places in Dublin. Probably wont be back.
Went here before a hair appointment a few stores down and the service was AMAZING!! I was in a rush and wanted a quick bite, the salad I ordered came in a matter of seconds. The blonde waitress was SO lovely and sweet! I love the atmosphere and will so very much come again! :)
My first visit here, I arrived on time to a T and my pizza wasn’t ready. They sent me home with a gift card for the delay. The pizza was spectacular, we did a half caprice half (whatever the meatball one is) and it was very good.Second time around the porky fig and green lantern was also superb. Some of my favorite pizza around here and the staff rocks.
My favorite spot to grab a pie in Dublin. Hand tossed dough and fresh ingredients lead to a phenomenal pizza. The service is team-oriented and always attentive, even when this location is packed on the weekends. Highly recommend the calzones. They’re essentially a small pizza folded over and make an inexpensive, tasty meal for one. Keep up the good work Dewey’s!!
It has been so long to come back here. We all got used to order delivery or take out recently. It was still great experience to be here much better than ordering something remotely. It reminded us that Challenging new menu like our case, Porky fig pizza, or enjoying conversation with smilefull and kindfull staff was one of most fun part for family dinner. I enjoyed everything here. Thanks for great dinner !!!
Pizza was great. Although they kinda over cooked it. There was burnt areas along the crust. Not like crispy but actual like charred on the bottom. Just got a regular 17 inch pepperoni. Decided to try it since it was nearby a place I ordered wings from (special offer there).
Delicious artisan pizza and fantastic craft beer selection. Also love the glass wall to the kitchen so kids can watch their pizza being made.Update 4 years later: This is still our familys favorite pizza. A treat indeed, and the kids love looking though the plate glass window to the kitchen to watch the dough tossing in action.
This location hires friendliest people weve met, and look forward to our Fridaydate night because of them. Theyve been amazing keeping everyone safe through COVID and the cleanliness is awesome to see. The pizza is always amazing. We recently commented on how you can taste each ingredient individually because of the freshness and the way its prepared. If you love garlic get a cheese pizza with a breadstick cut & ask for an extra side of garlic oil (more garlic than oil) and let your taste buds savor the moment. Its always a pleasure spending our Friday night in Dublin with the wonderful staff. Keep up the great work and your wonderful personalities. Your kindness is genuinely appreciated & makes the 90 minute drive worth it. We could go to one 30 minutes away but come for the reasons mentioned above. Dewys Dublin #1
FANTASTIC location for pickup orders! Ive been delivering doordash to this location for about 9 months now and Ive always been happy with this location since!I never have longer wait times, they always get the orders out quick. And the best part is that I dont have to get out of my car!You just pull up, text them your order name with the make/model of your car and wait patiently for them to bring your foor outside!
DELICIOUS! More expensive than run of the mill pizza places but worth every penny. Unique toppings and salads. The grape and walnut salad & Green Lantern pizza were amazing. The staff were nice and helpful. You can watch the dough being tossed. I would frequent if we lived nearby.
I think their pizzas are delicious. They’re made with quality dough and the toppings such as mushrooms and peppers are cut fresh and not canned. The pizzas do get cold fast even when left in the box for some reason. Not a big issue if you can have a slice straight away while it’s hot! When placing my order over the phone however I am asked to provide my card number most of the time. Sometimes not. This results in sometimes having the food brought out to me via curbside and sometimes me going inside to pick up the pizza. The lack of consistency is a little annoying but no big deal but the last two times I walked in to pay for my pizza no one was there. When the server finally showed up she had an attitude because I can only assume she wanted to go home and wouldn’t make eye contact with me. I will probably not go back just based on that.
I love this place. The Edgar Allen Poe is my favorite! If you like artsy pizza, this is the place to go! We order for lunch at work once a week, so I am anxious to eat in the restaurant in the near future! For takeout, they made contactless delivery flawless. They literally have signs outside with a number and ask you to text when you get in the parking lot, and they bring it to your car. It couldnt be easier and the service is fast!
We love Dewey’s! However, this location does not uphold the standards of the other Columbus locations. We have frequented both the Worthington and Grandview locations (my husband used to work at Grandview!) and had wonderful experiences. Our server was wonderful and the food was good but they did forget some side notes to our order. Also, we were not pleased with the hostess as we were willing to wait for a booth and were told it would be 45 minutes but the next two parties were also two people and were both seated at booths within 15 minutes which was frustrating (which were both open when when we were seated). Will definitely be returning to Dewey’s in Worthington, but will not return to this location unfortunately as it is the closest to our new home.
We enjoy the pizza at Deweys. And we understand with Covid that procedures have changed. But when we show up, 2 people, at 6pm for dinner to an empty restaurant and are told the wait it 1 hour to be seated because we don’t have reservations...well. We took our dinner business elsewhere.
You honestly cant find better pizza then Deweys. Everyone Ive ever taken here says this is some of the best pizza theyve ever tasted. It is a tad bit expensive however, but, if you split a large you can each get a half for ~10$ and itll fill you up no problem.Service is also excellent, super friendly staff and the establishment is always clean. Only thing Id be wary of is wait times. Try to get ahead of the dinner crowd, else be prepared to wait!
I went to Deweys for the first time a few weeks ago and just went back last night. The pizza is delicious, lots of toppings and great crust. I had the candied walnut salad last night - one of the best restaurant salads Ive had. Also, the service is excellent. The waitresses are fast, attentive, and super nice!
I came here with two of my coworkers for lunch. Neither of us ate here before, we just wanted pizza. When qe walked in the place seems kind of fancy. To our surprise, the pizza was DELICIOUS ! and the staff was very nice and professional. I would definitely eat here again, and I will be bringing my wife and kids here. Awesome place !
I am a big fan of true Italian (Sicilian) Pizza. This place does not fit that bill, but offers other interesting choices. We ordered three different pizzas, of which two were split into two sides, each side with different toppings. Everyone enjoyed their pizzas, but I actually thought the salad was very good/fresh. Its a good place to eat with family, but it can get crowded on the weekend. Kids can watch the pizza-making through a window, which is neat, but also seems to cause some occasionally loud protest when they have to go back to their table. Again, great family place. We will return if we are looking for good, American pizza.
August Update: this place still rocks! My parents are very picky but they recommended we go back to Deweys for a big family dinner after a day at the water park. Man, you cant beat the service. Its a team effort for the customers. The staff works together, the manager at the location has been there since it opened and she personally walks around refilling drinks and checking tables. Even saw her bus a couple tables. Food is excellent as always and their homemade ranch is delicious.July- the food was great. Weve never had bad food from Deweys- regardless of location. But Im writing this review because their service tonight was amazing. They let us drop my sons birthday cake off in the morning and held it until we returned- 9 hours later! Everyone was very accommodating and ready to help in anyway they could to help make my picky sons bday dinner awesome! Thanks guys and gals!
What a gem of a pizza place. The one in Dublin was not easy today find but worth it. The unique pizza combinations were fantastic and even offer a seasonal combination. The crust was phenomenal. Great service and no extremely crowded on a Saturday night. We got there around 8pm and there were tables available. I cant wait to try this again.
Its been awhile since weve been to Deweys, and I forgot how good the pizza is. My son and I split a large - half Bronx Bomber and half Edgar Allen Poe. My husband had a calzone. Everything was delicious. The crust is outstanding. Our server was attentive and filled our drinks at just the right times. Hopefully we will return to Deweys soon.
The food was awesome but the service was not praiseworthy. We were a group of 4 and visited the restaurant around 8 PM on a Sunday. While we were working on our pizzas - it was at least 30 minutes before the official close time - we were repeatedly asked if we needed boxes. When the waitress asked me the question the third time, I told them that I will ask for the boxes when I need them. But that made no difference. We were asked a few more times before we finally decided to box whatever was left and leave immediately.
I really like the pizzas here, and usually get the Socrates revenge with a salad. It has become a standard takeout place for when we are too tired to cook. It is also great for kids since they have it set up for them to be able to watch the pizza makers, and sometimes they do fun things when they are not too busy in there. So even if I am just picking up, I still bring my three year old to watch them make our pizza. She loves it. The servers are also really friendly and quick, and make good suggestions. I would definitely recommend it for a family night out. Also, if they mess up, which only happened once, they make it right.
This place is always a treat! Their Porky Fig pizza is my favorite, but their other selections are pretty good too. I usually order for pickup but the times Ive dined in theyve provided really good service. My only complaint is that the pies are a bit pricey snd you can easily spend $40+ (but still worth going).
I have visited Deweys multiple times over the years and have never had an unpleasant experience. When dining in, the service is always quick and the servers are friendly. When picking up a carry-out order they are always within the time frame given and they make sure you know the proper way to finish your pizza at home (items added after bake, such as, ranch dressing or lettuce). They also have a specialty pizza and salad that they rotate through every few months.
This was my first time going to Deweys. My family and I (a party of 8) came in during a very busy dinner rush and they got us in quickly. The waitress was patient because we were unfamiliar with their menu and it took us awhile to decide what we wanted. We ordered a Hawaiian with 1/2 red and 1/2 white sauce. When pizza was delivered we got a pizza with 1/2 red and 1/2 no sauce, with tomatoes added. We mentioned the tomatoes and he immediately offered to remake the pizza. We denied, not realizing there was no sauce on 1/2 of it at the time. After realizing it, we asked and he immediately had a smaller pizza made to make up for the 1/2 that was messed up. On top of that he explained how it happened and was completely awesome about the mix up. He comped 1/2 the original pizza and didnt charge us for the remake. The pizza was awesome and Deweys is my new go-to. I dont know if I will eat any other pizza.Great food, great atmosphere, great management!Way to go!
This chain met all of my expectations of a Deweys pizza. It lacked spinach on my crate tour own but the crust was tastey and the cheese and Hawaiuan pizzas were very good as well. The speed and friendliness of service was as good as usual. The server was very nice and helpful but did not come back too many times.
A slightly odd layout at the entrance, and very poorly lit inside during the daytime - but everything else was top notch. A good sampling of different beer types (not everything is an IPA!), the pizza itself was excellent, and the service was friendly and efficient. My wife and I split a 17-inch, and took advantage of the fact that you can do half and half for everything, both sauce type and toppings. I was especially a fan of the white sauce, and the ranch on top of the Dr. Dre tastes much better than it sounded at first. Overall a really good experience.
Deweys has fun family friendly atmosphere. Kids love to watch the chefs flip the dough at the window. Its definitely not a quiet place to eat. The pizza is good the crust isnt greasy or burned. I give it 4 stars because I cant hear myself think inside the place. The salads are delicious. I prefer to carryout at Deweys.
A great place to bring friends and family for good pizza. Seasonal salads and pizzas are always top notch and the pies can be made with half and half of different sauces if you really cant agree with those around you on what to get. Highly recommend getting enough for leftovers as this pizza keeps well for the next day.
This place is awesome. The staff is super friendly. I went for lunch today and they was a very large party of young girls that was there. The manager felt bad that we had to wait a while to be served and helped throughout our meal that he gave us free 11 inch coupons! My friend and I didnt even feel like we waited long, but we were grateful. I always have a great experience when I visit this location!
This one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The staff is extremely polite and helpful, and one of my favorite parts is that, any waiter will serve you, even if theyre not assigned to your table. And of course they have the best, unique pizzas including a white sauce! Thanks Deweys!
I have been going to Deweys Pizza for the last 2 years.Even through all that time, nothing has changed. The pizza is still the same it was every other time, and I hope it stays that way. This place has some of the best pizza Ive ever had. The dough is made in-house; heck, you can even see them tossing the pizza in the back windows! The sauce is great. Its not to sweet, not to salty, not too spicy, and not too mild. Its very well balanced. The cheese is amazing. I havent had all the pizzas, but the standard cheese on their pizzas is of very high quality. I especially like the Ricotta cheese on the meatball pizza. Its not grainy at all! Id say it has more of the texture of melted Provolone cheese. The service is awesome! They seem to work in teams rather than only working alone. I guarantee you, If your drink is empty, they will fill it up and have it back in less than 2 minutes. This is the soda Im talking about. I wouldnt know about alcoholic drinks obviously. Im assuming its the same quality of service.Overall, its a great restaurant! Its not big or anything, but maybe thats a good thing. They seem to have good control over their storefront. The cost isnt too bad, at about 13 dollars for a salad and pizza. You cant really put a price on good pizza. The order I usually put in is a side Caesar salad, and a 17 of either the pepperoni pizza, or the meatball pizza. This is plenty of food for anyone. If you cant eat the whole pizza, its good the second time around too.Again, good food, at a great price, with some of the best service Ive ever seen. What more could you ask for?
I went over to Deweys because my wives loves their Calzones. The staff was excellent, friendly, young and energetic. They came by every 3-5 minutes to check on our drinks and make sure the food tasted good.I tried the Calzones with Salami, Sausage, and Caramelized Red Onions. The dough tasted fresh and sweet. It was really good and very affordable. Our company had a large salad and it was huge.I have had their pizza before and it is delicious.
Our first visit to Deweys but not our last. We just took a drive (about 45 minutes)and decided to give Deweys a try. Staff was friendly and informative. Everyone willing to help each other. Our meal was delicious. Ordered two 11 inch create your own pizzas and a large ranch peppercorn salad. Everything was fresh and pizzas were hot. We really enjoyed it all. Its a bit of a drive but worth every mile. Well be back!
I love Deweys Pizza so much! The Ryans Inferno pizza is by far the best buffalo chicken pizza Ive ever had. The service was exceptional, the servers were attentive and extremely nice. Theyve got some really pretty bartenders too. Ill definitely be going back here ... this week. I cant get enough. Deweys is the best.
First and last time, for me. Seriously disappointing, especially considering all the positive reviews. Ordered a calzone (mozzarella and ricotta). There was almost no cheese in it at all - very little mozzarella and, if there was ricotta in there, I sure couldnt find it. I even opened up the calzone to check! The bread was greasy and the red sauce tasted more like a Mexican salsa than anything remotely Italian. (I grew up in a town of Italian immigrants and my brother-in-law is a trained chef from Sicily, so I know what Italian food should taste like.) If I had eaten there instead of having it delivered, I would have returned it to the kitchen, asked for a refund, and left.
The last time we tried Deweys, it was the Newport location about 8 years ago and it was really good .We visited this location today and it was awesome. I think the manager waited on us and he instantly made us feel at home. We settled on a pizza and ordered. When the pizza came, he said to hold on, and he brought us a complimentary small pizza that my wife told him she would like to try but I didnt. She actually enjoyed that pizza more than the one we ordered. On top of the great pizza, the customer service was better than Id had in a long time. Thanks to the staff for a great experience. Hope you decide to open in east Columbus (further east than Easton) so its a shorter drive from Pataskala.
Amazing when its done right. Too many times you get too much grease and flop on the larger pies. You have to order the small ones to avoid this. Occasional order changes without your knowledge.I always order grapes baked into the pizza, and half the time someone in the kitchen decides to put them on the side. They werent ordered on the side. Why not place the onions on the side? Ill never understand these decisions. Its especially frustrating when you wait for a 90 min carry out to get home and its voluntarily wrong.
This is our favorite weeknight date spot in Dublin. The pizza is incredible and affordable. The crust is perfect and Ryans Inferno is to die for! And their draft list rotation is fantastic! We had a party of 30 at Deweys recently and the service could not have been more excellent and personal! This was a surprise engagement dinner with our family and friends and Deweys manager and staff were so professional and accommodating. They even gave us a bottle of champagne! We cant thank them enough and would highly suggest this fantastic restaurant to anyone.
I was dining on a first date at your Dublin location and had an amazing experience. It was my first time at Deweys Pizza. The atmosphere was great and I really like the music they were playing throughout. The service was outstanding. We were greeted in less than a minute and we were quite impressed with their knowledge of beer and wine. We both ordered the Deweys seasonal beer. Its always nice when the server is passionate in what they sell. We decided to try out their Edgar Allan Poe as the server mentioned it was one of the more popular sells. We also tried their seasonal harvest salad which is probably the best salad Ive ever had. Salads were delivered in just a few short minutes. We never had to ask for a refill or a box. Everyone working there was quite pleasant. The open windowed kitchen was awesome. The kids in the lobby were having a blast with the kitchen guys. They were quite entertaining. Upon our departure the bartender and manager told us to have a great evening with a big smile. Deweys is a great first date destination. Thanks for the greatest service experience I have ever had. I will definitely be returning soon.
I was really excited to get my first pizza from Dewys! I expected a yummy New York type pizza....I ended up getting what tasted like a homemade pizza...really confused why people like this place. The pepperonis look/taste like they grabbed a bag of Horrmel peps from Kroger. Not impressed by this place. Nice staff and cool place to go but as far as taste...no thanks.
Deweys is my favorite pizza place and I am so happy there is a Dublin location! The Bronx Bomber is my favorite, my husband loves the Southwest BBQ Chicken. The service is fantastic. I am a stickler on an empty water glass and my drink gets filled even when it is over half full! That is what I call service! The energy at the restaurant is fun and uplifting! Always smiles on the servers faces and everyone really seems to be enjoying their job, the management is doing an incredible job! Whatever they are doing at the Dublin location, keep up the great work!
Not impressed. While the service was very friendly and the atmosphere was great to look at, the food is over priced. They spend a lot of time it seems trying to come up with new interesting combinations and toppings and less on actually putting them on the pizza. The amount of dry 2 outside crust you get pretty much makes the pizza a lot smaller then they say, so get dipping sauce on the side.
Always love Deweys. The pizza is great, service is good, staff is nice. They can accommodate larger groups, but get here early because it can be packed depending on the night. It can be a little loud when crowded, but other than that the only complaint I have is that they dont have their Mexican specialty pizza all year round.
The Green Lantern pizza was my favorite and my bf enjoyed the seasonal pizza which had gorgonzola, chicken, ham and a white sauce. If you like goat cheese and pesto definitely go w/ the Green Lantern. The crust is thin and pretty tasty. We got takeout so not sure what the atmosphere is like inside, but anxious to go back and see! Will be back here for sure.
Emily was amazing gave phenomenal service. The food was excellent, and thanks to David Barnes (also an employee) for letting me know about this place. Emilys performance and overall personality makes my decision easy to come back to Deweys pizza. Plus the other staff was very proffesional

2021-09-19Small place that provides excellent service and strives to make sure everyone has an excellent experience. Also one of very few pizza places that allow you to reserve a table online. Honestly, that was the deciding factor for us. We were traveling in from Indiana for the Eric Church show and the Buckeyes had a home game, so we knew places would be busy. They offer a lot of specialty pizzas, but we opted to build our own. The dough was excellent. The crust was crisp on the outside and oh so doughy and delicious on the inside. My 9 year old isnt a crust eater, but she saw me pull it apart and decided she was trying it. She said if all crust was like that shed always eat it. Perfect amount of cheese, very tasty sauce, and fresh ingredients. If I could make one suggestion it would be to offer bread sticks made from your amazing dough.

2022-05-06My family and I were searching for a pizza place in the Dublin area and decided to try Deweys because it had really good reviews. It did not disappoint. The service was great, and it was neat to see the guys making pizza in the kitchen! We really enjoyed our pizza and how they made it. It was very fresh and not greasy at all. The salad was equally as good! They have unique specialty pizzas, it was hard to choose just one!

2022-05-13Deweys will always be my favorite higher end pizza place in Columbus. There is a lot of great pizza in Columbus but if you want something truly next level and separates itself from tradition, Deweys is it! You cant go wrong with any pizza there but Ryans Inferno is my go to! Dont forget their amazing house made peppercorn ranch!

2022-01-19Overall great place. Our waitress came by and refilled our glasses as needed. The pizza came out pretty fast and was hot and delicious. There were three of us and we shared two pizzas and it was less than $15 for all of us.

2022-01-22During this time, they did an awesome job with take out ordering. Friendly service over the phone and offered a mothers day special preseco. Friendly pick up and the food was delicious.**update** 80-90 minutes for pickup is plain ridiculous for a weekend night.

2022-04-09First visit and our family had an excellent dinner. The service was top notch and food excellent. Our server Brian was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. Highly recommended. We will return.
