3-18-2018The initial salesman was extremely difficult to get ahold of for questions regarding our roof repair and ceiling repair. I would say the workers were good, easy to talk to, and I originally thought they did fairly decent work.After 10 months the roof appeared to be leaking in the same spot prior to the repair. Upon calling the company I spoke to a salesman. He said he would talk to the owner. About one week later I received a call the salesman stated they do not warranty their work but would be in touch with me regarding the issues. To this date I have not received a return call. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Design Restoration was prompt and friendly when coming to provide me with an estimate. However, the estimate the company provided was almost double that of a nearby competitor for literally the same job ($19,000 vs. $10,800). Maybe this was due to Design and Restoration knowing that a portion of the job would be paid through my insurance claim. I went with the other company and was very happy with the quality of there work.
This company gets no stars from me. If I could share the pictures from the job they were hired to do, they would lose business. The team I had barely out effort into their work. They left my home unfinished. They never sanded the drywall. The trim around the floor was broken and never replaced. My back splash was incomplete and to make matters worse the work was done wrong. They left shims and painters tape on the pantry. My dishwasher was moved so they can do a job. They never put the dishwasher back the right way. Part of the back part of the counter was never glued. They never caulked the sink counter. I could go and on. The job should have taken maybe a week. It took over a month. I never knew when they were coming or not coming. This was a horrible experience. They get no rating from me. Horrible job from a reputable company.
Design Restoration & Reconstruction did a great job repairing our garage door and trip due to someone hitting it. They were prompt, professional and lived up to their promise. We would highly recommend them!
A tree fell on my back porch late one evening. We needed to have the tree removed and get our porch secured because it was unstable. We called Design Restoration and they responded immediately. I honestly thought because it was after normal business hours I would have to wait until the next day. But they showed up that evening and made everything safe and secure. Very polite and professional. I would highly recommend Design Restoration.

Everyone has their own experience. I heard nothing but rave reviews of this company and have had so many issues.The work of two(or lack there of) has ruined my experience completely.Eric, Jim, Dan and Michelle were terrific and did their jobs very well!I will never recommend this company to others! We have had to many issues go unresolved as well as Scheduling issues.

Back in July two sets of my cupboards fell off the wall in my kitchen, i know what your thinking, kitchen cupboards dont fall off the wall. Well they did, they were over 38 years old and just plain fell off the wall. So i got a hold off my insurance company and they never heard of cupboards falling off the wall but gave me a few places that do all kinds of restorations, so i called Design Restorations & Reconstruction Inc. and they connected me with a Michele Knotts who came out the same day and talked with me and did some measuring. I knew nothing about picking out cupboards and asked her if she would please help me do this and she did. Five different times through the process of cupboards i changed my mind about what i wanted in the cupboards, not the style but the size i wanted and how i wanted them, Michele was VERY patient with me and got me what i wanted pretty much within what the insurance gave me and my deductible , we went over under a 100 dollars, but i got WAY more cupboard space then i had and it was worth it. When i was at Home Depot looking at handles for my new cupboards i didnt know what to do cause the handles we had picked out didnt look like i thought they would so i called Michele and was undecided about the door handles and she came to Home Depot and helped me again. She and i picked out a few handles plus the one we had decided on in the first place and went back to where the cupboards were and put them up to the cupboards and yes i liked the one we had decided on in the first place. So i am very grateful for Micheles patients and for helping me with everything, she was a true God sent because i couldnt of done any of this without her.

Got the tarp on my roof done very quickly. However, since the company was extremely busy I had to go with a different contractor to finish the work that needed to be done

Design restoration put a new roof on my house the crew they sent out did a marvellous job they were an Amish crew and they worked so well together it was like they knew what each one was going to do next they worked together like a well oiled machine would recommend that crew and design restoration for any repairs truly need something done please call them
Don’t know how some of the employees (boys not men) got hired. Unprofessional and no respect. I felt uncomfortable the whole time they were at my house. It’s not that they didn’t do their job it was more of the actual interaction. There’s boundaries especially when someone’s at work and your in their HOME.
Water damage, 1st floor through finished basement ceiling and floor damage.On site, fully prepared within 3 hours.when clean up was done, couldn’t tell they where even there.
They did a great job. They are friendly, responsive, and super helpful. The cost was super reasonable as well. I would most certainly use them again.
Nick was wonderful in explaining the repair work to me. He walked me through the quote process. Always answered my questions and kept in touch.

Zach, JD and the rest of the team went above and beyond helping us after we found mold under the kitchen floor of our recently purchased home. They are knowledgeable, worked well with our insurance company and made sure the job was done right. They removed the flooring, took care of mold mitigation and put down a new floor. 2019-04-19Five stars go out to this company. They were recommended to us by our Insurance company. We had roof and ceiling damage from a winter storm. They responded very promptly. Nate looked over all of the damage and took pictures so that we could see exactly what would need to be repaired. Tom was in contact with us, and our roof was repaired the next day. Pat worked on our ceilings and did a wonderful job! One thing that I appreciated the most was that he was very particular about cleaning up each day. I honestly cannot say enough nice things about this company and their employees. Design Restoration is lucky to have you Nate, Tom and Pat. We appreciate all of your hard work and a job well done.

2019-12-06I recently had plumbing problem turn into a disaster in my home. A friend of mine recommended I call Jimmy Lee with Design Restoration. I called Jimmy and he spoke very professionally and clear about the insurance claims process and made a bad situation so much better for me. Design Restoration cleaned up my mess and had everything repaired in a timely manner. Jimmy Lee worked so well with my insurance adjuster that I had no concerns. As a matter of fact, my adjuster told me that Jimmy sets a great example on how things should be done in this business and it is great to work with someone so honest and professional. I agree. Our insurance claim was handled immediately and because of their speedy service Design Restoration likely minimized the damage in our flooded basement. We were always able to reach someone by phone within a reasonable amount of time and we appreciated the continuous updates. We would highly recommend their services to any of our friends and family.

2016-03-21My husband and dog died in a fire at my house in May 2015. My life totally changed in a matter of hours. I lost my family, my house and all my possessions. Design Restoration helped me to start rebuilding my life that same night after the fire. They boarded the house within hours of the fire. Ray Santiago, President of Design Restoration and Reconstruction , explained and helped me understand the process of rebuilding after a fire. The kindness, patience and caring that I received from all the employees with this company was very important to me. They communicated with me on a weekly and sometimes daily basis on the progress of my house restoration. They were always available and NEVER failed to answer any questions or address any concerns I had- I felt confident that they would do everything possible to rebuild the house to my specifications. I have found that it is very rare today to get that kind of customer service! I cant thank the employees of this company enough for their support in helping me through this most difficult tragedy in my life. My house is now complete- Above and beyond expectations!

2019-10-23This company came out after I experienced a bad storm with possible roof damage. They were referred by my insurance company. Once they were contacted they were easy to schedule to come out and assess the damage and were out to my home the next day when it was convenient for me. Although luckily I had no damage to my roof, they were helpful with suggestions of things that may need to be addressed and taken care of in the near future. Both individuals that came to my home were friendly and answered any questions I had. Hopefully I will be able to work with this company in the future when I do have things that need done to my home.

2020-04-24In a nutshell, Design Restoration is OUTSTANDING!!! We highly recommend them! They exceeded our expectations in every way! Even other businesses/suppliers we met with, mentioned several times how fortunate we were to be working with Design!Following the complete destruction of our home, they emptied it, cleaned and stored our belongings, built us our dream home and then moved us into it!!! Over the course of 11 months, Designs staff proved to exceed our expectations over and over again! They are experts in their field! Their customer service is premium! Everyone we dealt with was genuine in their dedication and effort to promptly take care of us. Our dream home is everything we wanted and more, custom built with high grade materials and craftsmanship.If youd like to hear our story, read below:While making breakfast one Sunday morning, a 40,000 pound oak tree fell diagonally through our home, crushing it from one end to the other. After safely exiting our home (thanks and praise to God), the second phone call we made was to Design Restoration. Within the hour, Mandie, Contents Manager, and Jimmy, Product Manager, arrived in our driveway.The temperature that morning was in the thirties. Earlier, wind gusts had reached 65-70 mph. We stood with Mandie and Jimmy in our driveway, all of us freezing, while they offered their condolences and support. They confidently and optimistically shared the role Design Restoration plays during catastrophes like ours. We chose them without hesitation, to work for us. We are beyond pleased and thankful for the decision we made that day!Bright and early the next morning, staff members arrived with smiles and words of encouragement. Darrin, General Manager and Jeff, Superintendent/General Contractor, were there to assess our loss. They, along with Mandie and Jimmy, explained what the next several months would look like, assuring us theyd be right beside us every step of the way. That day they did everything they could to cover and protect the contents of our newly named tree house.The tree was removed by crane on Wednesday. It truly weighed out at over 40,000 pounds! Our entire home was exposed to the elements. Design needed to shore up the wreckage for safe removal of our possessions. Had they been unable to do so, we would have lost everything.They successfully shored things up after the tree was removed. Friday morning, Mandie asked if we had any valuables or sentiments in our home. Just moments later, people were carrying my moms piano and a few other precious items out of the house! I was in awe! I wasamazed by the care they took in preserving our belongings.Friday afternoon around 3 p.m., our insurance company granted a request to allow DR to work the weekend. Saturday morning, we were absolutely astonished to find cars and trucks lining our street, with 2 moving vans and 4 pods filling our driveway. Over 20 Design Restoration staffers were hard at work packing our belongings and moving them offsite to clean and store. Even Darrin, the GM, and his son who was home from college, were hard at it!We worked with Mandie and Michelle. As I said, they took exceptional care in sorting, cleaning and storing our belongings. They created a detailed loss list, including photos, for submission to insurance. Their knowledge and expertise stands out!I just cant say enough about Jeff and Jimmy! I will forever be grateful to them for building our custom dream home! And my husband will always enjoy his newly acquired 4 car garage with bonus room!Jimmy is an expert at working together with the insurance company to ensure the claim goes smoothly. He worked diligently and skillfully to put the quote together for the new construction of our tree house.Jeff is an expert General Contractor. He made every effort, with every detail, to assure our home was exactly what we wanted.
