This place is a great place to order food from or hit the drive-thru for a quick drink or what not. From pizza to chicken and great salads this place has it all. My favorite is the chicken and jo jos, no maybe pizza??? Idk just try multiple things and share!! You wont be sorry!! Holy cheese and whoa pepperonis!!
Ordered a large pizza and they said it would be 45 minutes and when got there had to wait another 45 minutes and said we ordered jojos and chicken and we did not. Food was tastless and over charged us after making us wait 2 hours. We should have at least got a discount for waiting so long. We will never go back
Worst pizza in town. I just moved here from Indiana, where we have Pizza King, and I tried all of of the pizza places around here to see what’s best and Deschners was my last stop. I honestly gagged as I was taking a bite of the pizza. I’m not a picky eater either. Ingredients look like the cheapest they could buy and it’s $15 for a medium pizza. Giononos is the best option in town and cheaper. Deschners doesn’t even deliver. Any other pizza place in town is cheaper even with delivery and you don’t even have to leave your house. When I called, the lady said hello twice with me responding in kind and she hung the phone up. I called again and told the guy who answered and he just gave me excuses no apology or nothin. If you’re considering this place, don’t waste the money, cook a Digiornos at home instead.
Called at 8:30 & he said it’d be over an hour cause there ovens weren’t on yet. Don’t understand why they were open for 30 minutes with their ovens being off. Ordered a medium and he charged us for a large. The Mac & cheese bites tasted like they just came out of the microwave, and the pizza dough didn’t even taste like it was done. The pizza sauce was very thick and not good at all. The only thing we liked about the pizza was the cheese. Overall it was just a bad experience from everything down to the taste. Definitely never going back.
We recently moved to Madison from Columbus and have been looking for a good pie in the area......we read reviews about Deschners, so we figured we would try it out. Heres what I have to say about the best pizza in Mansfield......it has a good flavor, but its VERY dry and has more cheese than I would have ever been able to digest this century. The fact there was so little pizza sauce on the pie most likely led to the dryness. I liked the crust and the pizza was packed with toppings. I felt like it was priced well for the amount of meat that was on the pizza. I gave it 3 stars because I ate one slice and couldnt get to a 2nd. If I had to get it again, I would ask for extra sauce and get some on the side......definitely would request less cheese. Employees were super friendly and my experience wasnt horrible.....everyone has their own opinions where pizza is concerned, and this is mine.
You call this pizza? I was recommended and had high hopes but dang, its way too doughy, yeah theres a lot of toppings but they have absolutely zero flavor and it just tastes like bland mush. Not to mention they all fall off the pie as soon as you go to take a bite. Worst food experience Ive ever overpaid for. What a betrayal of pizza.
If you want a pizza absolutely loaded with toppings this is your best choice. Be careful what you wish for though. I ordered a pineapple/ham pizza and it had an overwhelming amount of pineapple and I couldnt even eat it because it had saturated the entire pizza with tropical juicyness. Its hard to complain about getting too much for your money but for me it was just too much of a good thing.
A taste of a big city pizza in your backyard. The slice was so big I had to register it at the BMV.Cheese was as thick as pavement. And the size of the pepperoni requires every muscle in the head to work in unison, because this, THIS (holding slice in air) is pizza. If you want a Pizza Hut pizza go to Pizza Hut. If you want a PIZZA go to Deschners.
I was told to come here by some friends and when I came here it wasnt cheap. although was in chief I did get a huge slice of pizza for lunch. I do like that you can buy pizza by the slice during lunch. the pepperonis was thick almost to thick and they hurt my tongue after eating so many
A person from the facility I work at ordered some food. The order came back and was wrong. Adam put the whole facility on lock out from getting orders. Sadly there was a hair in a persons food and that was the reason for return. Plenty of food is ordered from this facility sadly I feel this is in danger of coming to an end. Word of mouth is a huge advertisement for a small buisness. We were told not to order from this buisness until a manager can handle this situation. Sadly no one at Deschners can handle this situation, except Wally the owner. 5 days has passed. So the service is sadly in question, the people were very rude when we called to order on Wed. 7-31-19. The original order was made on Saturday.7- 26-19
6 stars.Where do I start about this gem 💎...I love Deschners. I LOVE Deschners. When I moved away, I missed it terribly. Ive travelled 80 miles to it before, gotten it unbaked to take home and freeze numerous times, met friends and family there, gotten it for only myself and even dreamt about it. You cant go wrong w this pizza. Get everything youve ever wanted on it and you wont regret it.
If want a New York style pizza then wrong place. This pizza leans more towards Chicago because of its so loaded but the crust isnt Chicago style. You gota eat this with a fork. When u pick up the pizza you will be surprised how heavy it is. You will pay more but if you want a ridiculously loaded pie then look no further
I was born and raised in Mansfield. I have always loved their pizza and wings!!! I now live in Kansas City, and yes have driven 750 miles for just pizza. I have found a close 2nd to Deschners here. If you are ever in Cole Camp, MO you must try a place called Calgaros. No where near the toppings, but the flavor is great. Deschners may not be NY Pizza but as the old saying goes. You dont know what you have till its gone! Only time I can enjoy it, is when I come back to town. Ive tried to convince them to ship it uncooked packed in dry ice...but they say no...HEHE!
Rude staff and very expensive and there pizza used to taste good now there pizza isnt made very well sad really to give them this review but Papa Johns Pizza and wings blows this place away or on South diamond street now that a drive thru that has great pizza and wings friendly staff very affordable
I did not like nothing about it i been going here since i was a kid im 36 now and this place is going down hill the subs are going down hill and one of my favorite the wings yea they are hole wings but where the meat i dont know what happened but im not going back very disappointed here i come bdubs

2022-06-07My 1st Deschners pizza was over 30 years ago. I was living in Madison township and only lived there for a year. I live in Summit county now and my daughter was in Mansfield Monday for work and surprised me with pizza from Deschners. It was every bit as good as I remembered. Thanks for the great memory and keep making great food.

2019-04-06This is my all time favorite pizza joint. In fact I drove 1 and a half hour to get this AWESOME pie and their incredible jo-jos.A humble mom and pop establishment that Ive been going to for over 40 years located on Ashland road (state route 42) just on the outskirts of Mansfield.Their food is meant for the hungriest of appetites and not for the eyes are bigger than their stomach types. In other words the portions and everything here are humungous!Theyre not a chain restaurant and I wont even eat pizza in the Reynoldsburg/Columbus area I have to gas up the car a hop on 71 north to Mansfield.Theyre a drive through (we call it a beer dock) so they dont offer a dine in facility. 😑 The service was excellent and since I ordered mine no bake the cook was kind enough to write down the instructions on how to bake my pizzas when I returned home from the long drive.Reading my review is one thing actually experiencing this enormous pizza is an entirely different thing. I ABSOLUTELY l❤ve Dechners Pizza! No other pizza compares.

2020-08-17Great pizza. Loaded with toppings that make it a heavy pie. Family favorite any time we are in the area.

2021-11-25Ordered a pizza there last night. Toppings were raw, sauce was nothing but tomato paste,, crust was hard (not burnt, almost stale I guess. ) Called and complained they said the owner will call in a couple days. Didnt offer to remake the pizza, didnt offer to refund money, kept our cash and said somebody will call in a couple days🤣 last two pizzas from there have been trash, well not be doing business with them any more
