I try to support my black own business but when you are served something that looks like this the potato looks like poison its black not brown but absolutely black and it costs 20 dollars I dont understand why I am still hungry I cant eat it the chicken on it taste like its been cooked 5 times its so hard and dry I really use to like this place would not recommend this place will not be returning
I ordered through the website Deonsrestaurant ordering.com. When I called in for my order they told me they dont do delivery when its an option on their very own website. They said they use Uber or door dash to pick up there delivery orders. Ok so the owner tells me to contact the number on the website, so I hang up and call the number and he picks up the phone!!!!!!,😒😒😩 My food was never delivered and he didnt refund my money because he said a dasher picked it up. So no food or and they just robbed me of my hard earned cash. I would never ever deal with the so-called ghetto business Dions if it was the last place on earth to eat. Learn your own website dummies!

This was my first time tryin them. Im here working I absolutely 💘 💘 potatoes and seafood. The first day i got fried shrimp with garlic parm sauce and double fries and today a cheeseburger potato. Everything was cooked the way I wanted it. Yes I will be going back today and maybe tomorrow. You can tell the food is cooked with love. Oh one more thing yall this IS NOT FAST FOOD. It will take time if you want it fast call it in. Went in and called in customer service was perfect straight to the point informative about the food on to the next customer.
Man listen, I was excited to pick up my dinner because I had eaten here before. Fried turkey chops, Mac and cheese, greens, and to try something new, Mexican corn bread. They gave me an extra side: baked potato, cause the corn bread wasnt ready. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!
Great food very flavourful just wish portions were a little more but overall one of my go to spots ‼️
I called the number on their website:1.No one answered the phone!2. The online menu says Perch dinner$15.00. Once youre there the dinner is $18.00 ($3.00) difference. When pointed out to counter person his response was These are the new prices. You cannot justify a fish dinner with 3 pieces of perch for $18.00. It seems like price gouging and it wasnt that good. I will NOT return to this place.
Definitely wasnt pleased with the wait time. 20 mins turned into an hour and some change. This is the second and last time. First time gave them the benefit of doubt.
Food is excellent and we received it piping hot! My only opinion is the Italian seasonings in the Mac n cheese and the maple syrup on the yams were a lil over bearing for our pallets. Over all seasoned well!
This is the 2nd time I received burnt quesadillas from this place and when I call to complain the person was nasty and rude and egged us on for a fight over terrible food and service I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
The owners of this place need to fire everybody that works for them! These ppl have the most nastiest attitudes I’ve ever seen in a human being! Our food that we spent $80 for was burned and when we addressed our issues with staff they all became loud, rowdy, and confrontational! About myyyy money! Uggh! Never again! Food was delicious fish battered and fried perfectly (had whiting)and the Mexican cornbread is a real treat 😋 they make it with sweet potatoes 🎯🤞🏼
Customer service is horrible!!!!! The little mean old lady @ the counter must be a relative(horrible representation for a business), she was VERY rude. My food was ok, one whole onion ring would have been nice. Do not waste your time or money. Waited 25 minutes for a Polish Boy.

Person at the counter was rude, fish was really good and crispy but the greens were bland and the yams were terrible.
The cashier was so friendly and helpful. She made sure we knew we had to have our ticket to get our food so we wouldnt have any problems.The food was something real good. The stuffed potato with chicken was wild. I dont know what all was in there--some bell peppers, spices, sauces, who knows--and my god was that good.And the candied yams are full of flavor, sweet and perfect.
I really dont care for their food but Im a delivery person and they were missing two items out of a customers order and the lady said that I went in the order so I told her I wasnt going to take the customer a partial order and she was very rude and very disrespectful to me so I will no longer take any orders from Dions restaurant

I had this yesterday! I am very skeptical when it comes to trying like new places or whatever but I had wings mac & cheese and candied yams and they were out of this world if I can eat here every day I would definitely do it!! Highly recommend!

Cashier was very rude and disrespectful when I asked about paying cash for a call in. To the point I just hung up after waiting on hold. It wasn’t worth going back and forth about how I’ll spend my money. I most definitely will never eat at deons again.

I haven’t been in business as long as you but I am growing. Also a friend and I will have a medical billing and scheduling call company for small practices company up and running in October. As a black business owner myself I never thought I would be making this post, Today November 9, 2020 I placed an order through Uber eats for a grilled chicken over rice with no cheese and no butter , I made sure the letters were in all caps so it would be hard to miss, well when I received my order sure enough it had cheese and butter, I immediately called the restaurant to address the issue, a woman answered the phone and after I explained what had happened she told me to call back in 10mins so she could discuss the matter with the owner, when I tried to call back the phone lines were disconnected, unfortunately this is not the first time my order was made wrong but I wanted to give this brother a chance, especially with him being a small black owned business, and unfortunately I was let down numerous times, I Would suggest going to Food On The Move as an alternative, I never had an issue there and the food is just as good, If not better.

Food is always good and made fresh! I tried the Honey Lemon Pepper sauce and it was sooo good! Mac and Cheese + Mexican bread were tasty. Will definitely be getting the Mexican Cornbread when I revisit. The only thing that was frustrating is the time. I was told 15 mins on the phone. Got there in 20, still had to sit and wait an additional 10 mins for my order. I completely understand making fresh food not fast food, however accurate times should be given if the restaurant doesnt want complaints about wait times.*(Edit 2/6/21) I will not be coming back here. Take the constructive criticism and work on your business instead of just trying to retaliate with a smart reply. Bringing up McDonalds did not even make sense because they dont give you wait times at all! Restaurant owner says changing gloves is the reason food takes so long lol. Yall tell customers a certain time and expect people to not be upset when the food takes 20 mins extra. Changing gloves is definitely not the reason yall cant be accurate with time but since the owner so clearly states that it is, I will just take my business somewhere thats more accurate.
I order here atleast 2 times out the week.. but the last time might be my last. Just based off the customer service honestly I normally let it go one ear out the other but today the women just have nasty attitudes here

They dont tell you how long for your food. When you try and call over the phone so you dont have to wait they dont answer. Literally been waiting a hour for food and when asked how much longer I am infomr that there are still orders in front of mine. Dont you think you should say hey it hour wait. Then they are not telling people to wear mask. I have watch 5 people walk in with out a mask and the guy behind the counter is not even wearing a mask. I recommend not ordering this if your hungry you could be waiting two hours or longer. During that two hour could have went to store bought the food and made it your self. You can get faster service at any Popeyes. Took pics of ppl not wearing mask in the establishment.Food was was barley edible it was to much salt. Customers service is customer service at the end day. You wont spend money if you get bad customer and bad food. But good luck to you and your business.
Deon my name is James and I really love your place.. I travel from Ravenna to Cleveland just to get it... But today I came and got a Salmon dinner and the salmon was super dry almost worst then a well done steak

Amazing food. Will be posting about Deons on my Facebook and recommending to everyone I know. Best wings in Cleveland and my pound cake was to die for. Love the seasoning they put on my wing dings and fries. Gonna be a frequent customer here for sure.
Just ordered lunch from from door dash & omgggg they food just hit so crazy I’m ordering dinner their tonite. Grease was fresh you can tell cuz the food wasn’t burnt or dirty. Looked just like the picture & taste even better
This place was horrible honestly. The food was extremely salty and I like a lot of seasoning but I could barely eat it and the other two people that got food with me felt the same way. You do not get enough food compared to the prices. The woman at the counter looked like she hated being there and it was nowhere near time to close. They had run out of a lot of things and the fried catfish I had tasted like salmon honestly. Will not be going back, and would not recommend to anyone. If you want fish, try Fresh Catch!! Good prices, great food, and always great service!

1 - The customer service is horrible. Employees attitudes are the worst. Especially over the phone, their tone is unpleasant, unwelcoming.2 - Food presentation is unappealing. As far as appearance. For instance, the french fries are overcooked or its the grease they use. Only thing I get is the chicken over rice which looks appetizing.3 - Witnessed a cook either cleaning a grill or cooking but he didnt have gloves on. Along with seeing him quickly put food into his mouth.Overall, whether youre drunk, starving because you dont want to cook...just eat somewhere else. The owner and chefs should pick up a few culinary courses if they want THAT business to succeed.
Terrible service. Their attitudes are horrible. I was charged for baked potatoes with everything on it and was only given potatoes, meat and ranch smh. Didnt even get cheese let alone the mushrooms and veggies that were supposed to be included. When i called to complain, all i received was attitude and lies. Visitor from out of town that found this place open late on skip the dishes. The 1st time I came here the service was great along with the food. I came back about 6 months later, food was still great but the young lady that was filling orders was absolutely horrible! And the wait time for 1 dish was 1 1/2 hours. Never experienced worst service anywhere like this ever! Im going to blame it on her just having a bad day.

The food was excellent. I had the fried pork chop dinner with green beans and yams. Every thing was seasoned well and tasted great. Only down side was the 40 min wait t6for our food, because the place stays packed especially on the late night.

First off I order at 3am she said 25 I didnt get my DAMN order until 350 instead of serving the people inside the restaurant they was more worried about serving people in the club next door. The ribs were not cleaned properly silver skin and fat wasnt removed. The potatoe salad tastes like it came from a bucket. The greens were unseasoned. My meal didnt deserve 1 Star. The prices are outrageous especially for the quality of the food and the area. Ridiculous
Their food quality has really deminished over the past year. Either they have a new cook or lack quality control. Creamy mac n cheese is now dry clumps of noodles and cheese. Wings greasy and soggy. Burned yams. Im over them.Update 5/2019: I realize now, I had previously ordered from the Deons on Cedar Rd. in Cleveland Hts. Their food quality is better.
I bought a baked potato. I waited 25 minutes for a cold potato, cold chicken cold cheese not melted and no peppers or onions my first time.my last time just horrible once you take the top of with cheese i where the. Chicken

I was walking by this place a week ago. I didnt go in because the people in there is not nice. They act the Customers owe them for being there to service us. I would not recommend this place at all. I ordered food over the phone for pickup and explained traffic is bad. I got there 2 minutes past the time they said it would be done. They sold my food. I dont that they even made it.
The food is made to order. The whole chicken wings taste like they were fried in grandmas kitchen in Louisiana. They give you enough fresh cut fries that could feed 2 to 3 people.
Food was good. The burgers where large and juicy. The chicken wings were also good.Large selections of food with fair prices. Be sure to call your order in because everything is made fresh and its a good 20 minutes wait.
I went there to order, there was a sign that said come back in 30 min!! 30 min from when??? No one ever acknowledged me to tell me, so I called to ask. When the phone was finally answered the lady that answered said you have maybe 15 more minutes could be more. I really try to support our small businesses in our community, but the professionalism has to get better...
The customer service here is very rude the person who answers the phone is nasty and hangs up the phone before you can finish your sentence and the food is not that good to have such bad customer service. Just because your restaurant is in the urban neighborhood does not mean you have to have a nasty stereotype attitude and behavior.

Extremely rude!!! The cashier told me I was hard of hearing, and I needed to check myself because I asked for sauce on my wings! 😂 She her self was an elderly woman, and put her ear to the security glass every time I spoke. I couldn’t believe it! 🤦🏽♂️😂 Not to mention I called ahead for my order, and while I was on the phone she was upset because she couldn’t hear me, even thought I was talking as loud as I possibly could without yelling or coming off rude. But to no avail, she couldn’t hear me so she decided to put me on hold without telling me. While I was on hold I could hear her in the background cursing me out to someone. Deons weak . very rude customer service . i keep giving them the benefit of the doubt cuz its a black on business & i wanted to support it. But damn . i get the chicken Philly over rice. My rice always uncooked. & the chicken tasted old. Like they froze it & warm up in a microwave. By far the worst restaurant with ridicules prices. Wont being going back. Terrible! Im upset that I even have to put one star. I wish I could upload this picture I have of these scraps that they considered to be French fries. My chicken philly was nothing more than some chewy, half under cooked, half over cooked chicken on a wet bun with none of the promising toppings, not even cheese. I am so disgusted with this and to top it off the customer service really sucks. The attitude of the cashier was nearly unbearable, and when I called back to voice my concern about the food o was hung up on. Terrible do not waste your time or money here.

I got a Chicken Philly over fries....it was nasty!! The Chicken was dry, the fries were dark and tasted burnt, I didnt see any veggies. The amount I received for $12 was unacceptable. I wont be going back!!
I had my mouth so ready for the shrimp alfredo 🤦🏾♀️not watered down sauce undercooked noodles and overcooked cocktail shrimp. That Tahitian Treat was smacking tho!

I ordered chicken philly which was beyond small it came with 10 fries I had a wing dinner fries was hard covered in sauce wings had feathers fried all over them rib tip dinner was nothing but fat and undercooked best part of my meal was the Canada dry pop🤦🏽♀️
First off i love and support black own business, but my god customer service is the key to success. Everyone should send a compliant to the heath department and trust me they will show up unannounced.
I started off liking this place but my experience on 3/10/2018 was horrible. I had to wait for fifty minutes to get my order then they were missing a meal from that. I had to wait an additional hour and a half to get the order. That was truly disappointing because I had just ordered from this restaurant the previous night and the order was near perfect.
The worse quesadillas i have ever had. They were burnt, cheese was so over cooked that you couldnt taste it. I cant believe this. Plus very dry. Never will i go back there. If i want a quesadilla, im going to Food on the move. Thats the way to cook it. Best in town. Oh had to wait a hour after told it would be ready in 30 mins. Crazy.
Ordered from uber eats. My bf got chicken wings with mac n cheese (that I paid $1.5 for bacon added to it which was a SMALL amount of bacon!) and onion rings which he found to be average af. I also ordered a strawberry cheesecake which was not delivered. The uber driver suggested I call the restaurant. I tried calling six times in a row and they never answered!!!!!!!! Wow. Will never order from here again.

I ordered my food through Skip the Dishes, it took forever, the courier had to wait an extra 15 mins. I ordered a polish girl and the pulled pork was about as crispy as potatoe chips.

I was told 20 minutes for food and it took an hour. Not pleased the service or security in the area. The food was subpar-my cheese steak was dry and the bread had the consistency of croutons.
If you order a wing dinner and want bbq sauce, youre going to have to tell them to put light sauce. Because if you dont, they will literally drench your wings in sauce. There will be a puddle of sauce in your in your box
Ordered a steak philly steak last night the meat was tough as leather & swimming in ranch & I specifically told the young lady No ranch said it like 3x & watched her write it down on my ticket plus they used regular American cheese on a philly where they do that at no swiss or provolone fries were water logged, old & burned

I use to visit this place alot at its last location but since moving to 79th the food and service has went downhill. I visited this place at its 79th location 4 times and cedar location twice. At both places my food wasnt good. One time my food was burnt . The last time my food was not seasoned. Very displeased.
Horrible food I received fresh fries mixed with old fries clear difference and they denied it , I’m sure we all know how old fries taste and half my food was cold and my cheese sauce feel like it came right out the fridge

Sad & very disappointing that this restaurant is going downhill the way it is just ordered tacos through skip the dishes and they sent me burnt scraps off the grill entirely inedible which is ridiculous if you can’t cook under pressure don’t work at a restaurant. I eat here all the time I’ve never had this experience. Don’t even bother to stick to some other place Johns Johns On Euclid or Open Pitt.
Will NEVER come back. Very RUDE on the phone. It took 30 mins to make no other customers were here while I waited. Once I came in it was smokey and I smelt grease in the air. Please do better!!
Always slow. Always rude cashiers and the food is never hot. Try the deons on cedar! Much more friendly and happy to help you. Food always done on time there.

Unlike everyone here, i actually havent ate from this place. But overall experiences/vibes i get from a place says alot. No customer service from the workers at all, and nothing but bums that hang out there after hours. Will never spend my money at that place or even think about doing so.

Do not waste your time this place is really going down hill just ordered a simple polish boy and when i got it the bread was stale then i call myself trying to get another bun to at least place the polish boy on & the polish boy itself was hard and old smh don’t even waste ur time or ur money !

2022-02-05I WISH I CAN GIVE ZERO STARS! THIS WAS MY FORST TIME ORDERING FROM THEM. I ORDERED 6 WINGS & FRIES FOR $12.99 ! First OF THEY SMELLED LIKE RAT & SECONDLY THEY WAS SOOOO LITTLE THEY WAS THE SIZE OF MY PLASTIC FORK. THEY ALSO DECIDED TO THROW IN THE PIECES THAT YOU CUT OFF THE CHICKEN AND THROW AWAY.. 2022-06-27Inedible swill. The chicken is not grilled, it is over seasoned frozen chicken all you have to do is reheat it, the Alfredo sauce is not Alfredo sauce, but ragù creamy garlic. The cheesecake is nothing what they say it is, but merely some store bought variety pack. The side salad is just baby spinach, caution you might get some spoiled soggy leaves in there, with hunks of onion. Yes you get a lot of food but the price is not worth it. I was expecting fettuccine pasta not farfalle. Please do not waste your time or money ordering from this place. You want Italian, order somewhere else and actually get what you order.

2022-03-19The food was very good and tasty this would be my second day ordering, it was so delicious the first day but the first day I door dash. The only problem with the second go was the wait time, I thought it would be quicker to go pick it up and I waited 30 minutes in line for one cashier to take phone orders, walk in plus bag food. That was a little too much by time I got my food it was not hot anymore!

2022-03-17I discovered this gem of a place doing door dash orders. The smell was irrisistable, and I returned shortly due to my own curiousity. I was born and raised in NC, and I havent had southern style/comfort food since I left. Let me tell you, this place was the real deal. I got a simple order of greens and corn bread. You couldnt find anything wrong about it if you tried. The greens cleaned properly and not stemmy, were cooked to perfection but not over or undercooked, seasoned perfectly, and just perfect. The corn bread was not dry and crumbly, but moist and heavenly. As much as I love Cleveland, for a moment, it took me back home. Kudos to the chefs at Deons, for I will be returning for more of their hearty dishes, and I cant wait to check off all the lovely items on the menu. Thank you guys for the great service and amazing culinary experience it really touched my soul ♥️

2021-05-28Located in an urban neighborhood surrounded by a hair salon, corner store, meat market and a school across the street. Its a very busy place. The food is cooked fresh and a balance of savory seasonings that burst with flavors. The menu consist of Soul Food, Sea food, Veggie food and plenty of assorted cakes. Each dinner includes a non alcoholic beverage.****My oder was a 47 min wait and a bit pricey...Trust me when I say, ITS WORTH THE WAIT AND THE PRICE. Once you take that very first bite, you forget about the price.****I ordered the steak stuffed potatoe and 8 whole chicken wings with Deons special sauce a side order of Mexican cornbread and a side order of yams with 2 soft drinks 😦$40.00*** I would have given 5 stars If the wait time was shorter.

2021-07-15The macaroni and perch was so good!! The tartar sauce that came with it was very good too. The only thing I didn’t really like were the greens. They were a bit unseasoned but other than that 10/10
