EDITED:A manager by the name of John Gillis called me and made things right. I received my deposit back. The way he handled my concerns was professional. He made no excuses, he made things right. Updated to reflect thatWent in on April 6. Placed 1000.00 down on a Santa Cruz. Salesman told me it would arrive on the 29th, give or take an additional 1-3 days to get the vehicle cleaned up for me to take delivery. Its now the 29th. Dealer hasnt called me back after repeated text messages and calls asking for the sales manager over the last 3 days. I called on Tuesday the 26th to confirm that my truck would arrive on schedule and was told it hasnt even shipped yet from Korea. I told the salesman I wanted to cancel the deposit and get my money back instead of waiting for an undetermined time for the vehicle to arrive. I was told the manager would reach out to me as he couldnt cancel it. I still havent received a call or anything 3 days later. Looks like theyre stealing my money as theyre changing the details that were initially agreed upon. This dealer represents the worst customer service Ive seen yet. I filed a complaint with Hyundai directly as it pertains to this particular dealer. I would recommend staying away and visiting a different dealer. I will update this review once I receive a reply from the dealer or from Hyundai directly.
My wife and I just purchased a Hyundai Tuscon Hybrid and worked with Cole. From start to finish the experience was nothing short of great. Cole was clear with everything and quite knowledgeable about their products. It was a transparent experience and we did not feel like we were being taken advantage of. I usually hate buying a car because it feels like a game that customers are disadvantaged in. This experience was not like that all. Will definitely come back in the future.
I have intentionally worked with this dealer (purchased my car from here) & the repair shop in the past because of their customer service. Therefore, when I was in an accident 40 miles from their location, I put in an additional request to have my car towed here for repairs BUT the experience I had from this accident is the reason I will NEVER return to this location. From the time that my vehicle arrived at this location I received zero updates on the status of my car. Once I found out about the damage of my vehicle, it was documented that the expected completion was one week. while I was not expecting my vehicle to be completed in this time, what I was expecting was clear communication from Dennis Autopoint. this was the complete opposite of what I’ve received in the past! every couple of days I called Dennis autopoint to obtain the status of the parts on my vehicle (as they were miscommunicated on the documentation provided) they advised that the parts from the supplier were behind. while I understand that this is not in their control, they continue to advise they would update me on the status of the supplier, this NEVER happened. At this point, four weeks later I receive a call that the parts were in and that my vehicle would be ready within three days. therefore on the fourth day allowing enough time for the vehicle to be ready I drive the 70 miles to this location only to find out that the vehicle is not ready. The vehicle then is expected to be completed 4 more days later (this is never communicated by phone call instead a link communicating status that is behind multiple days), because most of their phone calls go to busy not allowing voicemail. Finally I believe my vehicle is ready for pick up and in fact it is going to be another day due to clean up. I finally arrived two weeks from their original completion date, while the repairs were completed I am unsure her what the holdup was, especially due to clean up because nothing was cleaned in this vehicle. two days after I picked up the vehicle I received a link that advised that I had just picked up the vehicle, this just goes to show that he are so unorganized. I really hope you get it together
I left my car with them 7 days ago to be looked at. On Monday I got a call telling me they were looking at it and would let me know later that day. It’s Thursday, and I’ve called and left multiple voicemails and had my wife call. I haven’t heard ANYTHING back. I need my car back and don’t even know what’s wrong with it. So annoyed, no one is even contacting me. Terrible.UPDATE-they told me nothing was wrong with the car and 3 hours later it broke down on the side of the freeway. GREAT JOB DENNIS HYUNDAI!
I wish I could leave a 0 star review. After having to wait 2 months (and not being able to drive my vehicle for those 2 months) I dropped my vehicle off on Saturday July 30 and didn’t hear from anyone until Monday and my vehicle is still there but I haven’t heard from anyone since Tuesday. Nate the service advisor told me I need to call my warranty company and get them to expedite the claim. Come to find out Hyundai never finished the claim and won’t return phone calls from my warranty company. I called again today and was told by Whitney that drew had spoke to my fiancé and I said “okay but I’d like to get an update from you guys because I haven’t been told anything yet” and Whitney was yelling at me and said “well maybe you and your fiancé should communicate better.” Come to find out drew never contacted my fiancé. My car has been sitting for 6 days on top of the 2 months I couldn’t drive it with nothing being done. 1. I shouldn’t be doing their job. 2. No one should ever be spoke to the way I was. Good luck getting your cars fixed in a timely manner folks.
I took my car to the Morse Rd location for an alignment on Thursday May 26. They gave my car back to me worse than I took it to them. I returned on Saturday May 28 with my complaint. Chandler told me they were short staff could I bring it back on Monday May30. When I arrived there it was closed. Since then I have left numerous messages with no replySOMEBODY NEEDS TO FIX MY CAR!
Service department Broke my key during my early march service. The car sounds worse also. The service manager told me he would have my key reordered in a week and it’s been 2 months with no contact. I’ve called and left messages 14 times between the service manager and the general manager and no one has returned my callI dont appreciate the terrible service as a 2 time Hyundai owner at this location. At this point I’m going to go in there because obviously the service is extremely declining
Their service department took over 4 hours to put on my summer tires after I was told it would take 2. The excuse was that they found a faulty tpms sensor and had to pick one up from a another local dealer because their parts department didnt have one. I was not asked if I would like to have it installed at another time so I got spend my entire day in their waiting room.
I purchased a brand new 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz in Jan of 2022 from Dennis Hyundai- East. And was told by the sales manager they would be transferring my old license plate to this new vehicle. Well come to find out, 3 months later, after being pulled over, this dealer FAILED to complete this license transfer which has now resulted in my brand new car being IMPOUNDED, and Im forced to pay impound lot fees and court costs to get my car back. This is all a result of Dennis not doing their job that I PAID FOR on my INVOICE under Documentary Service Fee. Due to Dennis Negligence and failing to do their job I am now sitting without my brand new car as it sits in a impound lot until tomorrow. And will be out hundreds of dollars to get this resolved.Thank You Dennis Hyundai- EastonBuyers Beware!!!
Recently I had to go in for car repairs the tech that handle my claim guess what the issue was when during a test drive he had his mechanic replace both stabilizer bars but the car continued to make the noise. after waiting for hours having to walk across the street to Subway to get lunch because theres nothing but coffee and warm water in there waiting area once I return the tech approached me saying that they figured out the problem the stabilizer bar did need to be replaced but the mechanic that put the new bars on did not tighten them all the way and they were loose which was causing the same exact noise before they replace them. Thats pretty scary because at one point it seemed that they were willing to let me leave with the car as is but I was persistent on getting to the bottom of the issue that my car was having. 4 hours later I was on my way home next time my car needs servicing I plan to take it to another location.
Cannot recommend the service department. Multiple visits, multiple issues. Managers do work to try to satisfy you after the fact, but the issues repeatedly occur. Most recently, work that was said to be completed but was not (tires provably not rotated, what else is being missed?)
My children and I had a really bad accident and I totalled my car. I was sure that wouldnt be financed again until my insurance paid my former finance company. I came into Dennis after hours on a Friday and James (sales) answered my questions and pointed me to one of the best financial managers Ive ever dealt with especially after such a horrible situation. He was more than kind and I felt safe with him immediately. He listened to my story and told me to come back tomorrow and shop. Although he was busy with other buisness the entire weekend he took time to deal with me each day until I finally decided to purchase a vehicle. He worked hard to get me the best deal and I appreciate his positive spirit and sincere willingness to work with me. I am forever in debt to Mitch at Dennis. Hes by far one of the best people Ive met in a long time. Thank you again Mitch for being Awesome!!! I will always do buisness with Mitch wherever he works. Thanks again James for putting up with my indecisiveness :-)
I was going through a difficult time in life, with bankruptcy and needed a car due to personal issues. I called Dennis and explained everything and they were so understanding. Mitch (who is awesome) did everything in his power and was able to help get me a car financed with a low payment. Once again, thank you so much. I definitely know that if they were able to help me, they can help anyone. Friendly and courteous staff. Very attentive and open to talk to. Give them a try, you wont regret it.
I’m late in writing my review, but I had the best sales person ever. His name is Brent and he was so accommodating and friendly. I was there past closing and he made it fun (even tho I was hungry lol). The finance gentleman was also very nice. This is the only dealership I would buy a car from, and I will always look for Brent at Dennis Hyundai East and recommend my friends to him if they want to buy a car. Best salesman ever!Mrs Byrd
Extremely rude service department. Don’t expect for your call to be answered unless you have a half hour set out of your day to continuously keep calling until someone answers. When they do answer they are extremely short with you like you are wasting their time and they don’t have time to answer your questions.
Horrible customer service and communication skills I had my 2006 Hyundai Tucson towed in on Sunday the 19th for my appointment on Monday the 20th at 7:25 AM And now its Thursday the 23rd and I have still yet to hear from anybody at Hyundai This is after I called the general manager Adam He stated that someone from service would be calling me and that never happened also I left a voicemail message for the director of service Andrewtwice and never received a call back
Very cool people. Went there, test drove a couple of cars and bought what I wanted. Look for Brent Johnson when you go there. He was very good at explaining all the features and stuff, never forced any extra warranties or accesories that other salesmen might do. I was very satisfied with my car buying experience thanks to Brent.
Great experience purchasing my new 2022 Palisade Calligraphy from Dennis Hyundai. Rebecca is awesome and very helpful. She is great at communication and she answered all of our questions quickly and accurately. She very thoroughly showed us all of the features of our new vehicle and made sure we knew how to work everything and they all or the features were setup correctly. I highly recommend Rebecca and Dennis Hyundai if you’re in the market for a new car!! Five stars all the way!!!
Sale process went great. Brandon was amazing. They changed the battery on a key fob that didnt work. It was after I got the car home I realized that it was broken. The broken key fob never worked,. I notified Brandon. Brandon said his manager said they could not fix the issue, Id have to pay. It is still under warranty. I called hyundai customer service in order to get key fob fixed. They will now fix it free of charge. Nothing was going to happen until customer service called them to mention my complaint. It was just an extra step I had to make. Khalin in finance was awesome also.
If I could give them 100 stars I would!!! I had service done to my vehicle on 10/26/21. I ended up having a situation occur and the manager worked with me!! Chandler was the specialist that took care of me and bared with me through the whole ordeal! Never had an issue Happen like that before and they went the extra mile to help!! Thanks again!!!! You guys rock!!!!!Mikole
I have been coming to Dennis Hyundai East for four years for oil changes and maintenance on my Hyundais. I recently bought my second car through Dennis Hyundai East and I couldnt be happier! I worked with Chad Parke in sales and I was at ease during the whole process of trading-in and purchasing a new 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid. Chad was quick, knowledgeable, easy to communicate with, and accommodating. While my vehicle was being delivered to the dealership, Chad gave me updates about my purchase throughout the whole process and eased all tensions I had! The finance department at Dennis Hyundai is another reason I purchased my second vehicle from them. My time and money felt respected during the whole process. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Sales staff refused to put actual numbers of sale price and interest rate in front of me throughout the process. Walked away when it became clear they were doing everything they could to keep us from knowing the actual numbers. There’s plenty of other options in columbus. Avoid these guys.
I had a great experience working with Brent Johnson. He is very knowledgeable with the entire product line and spent time showing us the features of the new Hyundai Palisade. He is very honest and is an exemplary person in his field. Thank you Brent for the wonderful experience. I would highly recommend him .
Brent in sales and Khalin in finance were awesome! They made the car buying process easy and quick. I was in an out within an hour or so. They both took the extra time to help explain some finer details and made sure I was comfortable before moving forward with the buying process. If you’re thinking of getting a Hyundai I highly recommend stopping by Dennis East!
Frustrating but not terrible experience.Pros1. Friendly people in both sales and service.2. Easy buying process.3. Good waiting room for service.Cons1. Hyundai makes frustrating cars. The Santa Fe drives great when its going 45mph+ but sways and bounces when its under 30mph+. I specifically wanted a car that was comfortable and the Santa Fe fooled me because I didnt test drive it in a parking lot. Sweet.2. Dennis Hyundai has a 3 day exchange policy that literally no employee will tell you about. If Id known, I wouldve gone for the smaller, more comfortable Tucson. By the time I found out, I was 6 days out from my purchase, too late to do anything. If you hit a home run and get the exact car you want, this is a good dealership. If youre unhappy with your purchase and want something else, you have to already know cuz they wont tell you. Also, dont buy a Santa Fe. They come with below average sport tires (on a midsize SUV?) for some dumb reason, and the suspension is soft enough that it wallows horizontally at low speed, but firm enough to feel every bump without the handling bonus that comes with a firmer ride. Go bigger with the Palisade or smaller with the Tucson. The Santa Fe will fool you at 45mph+ but the flaws are very noticeable at lower speeds. Plus, the wet dual clutch definitely needs refinement. If Id known about that exchange I wouldve happily have driven away in a different car. I dont know if Ill be back here to buy another car. I guess well see, but if I do, Ill definitely walk in knowing that I can exchange as per store policy so I dont get screwed again.
Lovely experience! We loved working with Brent. He was so helpful along the way and we felt cared for by him. He was reliable, easy to get ahold of, helpful, knowledgeable. They dealership is very nice and you feel cared for every step of the way from when you walk in the door until you drive off with your car.
Good service. Was not pushed into buying a vehicle, but I did end up getting one. Overall very satisfied!Update March 2022: Got bad quotes on what needed fixed on my vehicle. Not recommended maintenance, but stuff that needed done. Took my car to my mechanic and he laughed. Half the stuff on their list was b.s. They said my brakes where almost metal on metal. I had them measured and they are perfectly fine. Among other things they upcharged repairs around 40% compared to other service centers. Terrible. Not recommended anymore.
This was, by far, the best new car shopping experience Ive ever had. I drove 4 hours down to Ohio from Michigan to get my new Santa Fe. Terry Sopp was my salesperson. He was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to come in 3 hours early to meet me at the dealership to pick up my car. They told me the price of the car and that the only other fee was $285 and sales tax. I was certain Id get down there and there would be some hidden dealer fee, advertising fee, or convenience fee. But there wasnt. It was exactly as they said. Tyrone got me set up with the financing and Shane the Sales Manager came in and got me a break on the cost of a service contract. Thanks to you all!
This is the second vehicle I have purchased from Brent Johnson @ Dennis Hyundai, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Every step of this process I was treated with kindness and respect. Brent was patient with all of my questions and best of all, honest. I don’t care for the traditional bartering approach when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. I prefer a much more factual and straightforward process - here is what I want/don’t want, here is the research that I have done on average cost and value of my trade, tell me what’s available. The excellent customer experience doesn’t stop at purchase, it was consistent throughout the entire life of my vehicle. Need a new car? Stop in at Dennis Hyundai, you will be glad you did!
Very smooth and professional experience with Kathy Ammonn as salesperson, she was very straightforward, experienced and professional. I actually bought the first car I test drove because it felt right for me and she remembered the previous owner and explained that they only resell vehicles that pass all their inspection tests and rely on positive customer reviews. This was much better than previous car purchase experiences and also my experience at Auto Boutique which tacks on a 500 clear coat fee and is busy and impersonal. I also enjoyed working with Bus Mgr Brian Smith who helped me pick some warranty services helpful for an older model car. Nice showroom too.
Had a recall done here for headlamps. After a day or so, my day time running light stopped working on one side. I called in 5-6 times and left couple of voicemails to the service technician and till to this day I havent got any response whatsoever. It has been over month now. This way my go to place for servicing but not anymore!!
I came in looking for a brand new car and left with exactly what I wanted. There were no surprises, and everyone I met was willing to answer my questions. My salesman was Bryant, who had a calm demeanor and was informative at every turn. I also had the pleasure of working with Nancy, who made me feel confident in my choice at every turn. If youre in Columbus and looking for a Hyundai, dont go anywhere other than Dennis Hyundai. Theyre good car people.
I brought my car in for a regular oil change but also because my dashboard warnings were all flashing on. It had me concerned. It took a few days but they were finally able to get them to comes on and figure out the issue. Tim helped get the part a week earlier than he was told.My only complaints were that I had to call for updates and they didnt fill the tank back to where it was at drop off. Overall, Im grateful at three work they did and happy to have my car back!
I usually have a great experience here but unfortunately, not this time. I made an appointment intending to get my oil changed on my lunch break. The serviceman asked if I was waiting in the lobby and I replied, yes. He even mentioned that I was lucky to have beat their rush hour. I sat in the lobby waiting for my vehicle. Every person had been retrieved but me and another lady that had come in later. It had been 1.5 hours so I decided to go out to the service area to see if my vehicle was done. There was a group of workers hanging out and the serviceman that had helped me saw me, said oh, I have your total here, cashed me out and handed my keys. When I asked where my vehicle was, he didn’t know but we found it parked outside of the garage area. It appeared that my vehicle had been done for quite some time and no one came to get me to let me know. I wonder how long I would have sat there if I didn’t decide to go check myself. I understand things fall through the cracks and people get busy, however, the point of making an appointment is defeated if your customer’s time isn’t valued.
They were able to fix my car before the appointment date. Jeff kept me in the loop on all the issues/concerns they found and gave me the pricing to fix. Worked with me to get the necessary work completed so I could feel safe driving my vehicle again and gave me a print out of the other services so when I had the money to fix the other concerns I could. Great experience and I will definitely be going back to fix the other concerns and any other issues I have.
Called in November, left voicemail with service advisor regarding a current recall on my Hyundai. No call back.Called twice today (a month later)...nothin but voicemails.Avoiding Ricart becuase their service is atrocious, but cant reach anyone at Dennis willing to answer phones, questions or return calls.Zero stars due to not being able to speak to anyone about their products recall. Ill keep crossing my fingers every start up! Good luck in Cbus Hyundai owners!
Appointment was easy to schedule for routine maintenance. Car was checked in on time, and adviser was very professional and accommodating, and efficient. The services were done in the time stated, and I was on my way. They also gave my car a needed bath. I have other routine maintenance scheduled in the next few weeks.
I got in right away with no appointment, and they did what I came for and checked a few other things since I was over the 60,000 mark. Im glad they did. Ill be back to take care of the other repairs.Dennis always does a fine job in a timely fashion....and at a competitive price. I would recommend Dennis for all your automotive needs.
My experience at this location was relatively good. The service representative I had, Shelly Bennet, was AMAZING, however I think their technicians can do better with their service suggestions and actually ensure that the requested work was completed and CHECKED.I had asked for two things. The first is that the level of the headlights should be adjusted because it seemed that they were too high and causing people to think I had my brights on when I didnt. That was on the service paperwork but nothing seemed to be done to it, It seemed to be the same as before. The second thing I asked for was the front left wheel seemed to make a weird burring noise when driving at high velocities. They said they would need to do a test drive to figure out what the issue was on that and it would cost $99, I agreed because I believed that it would help them identify the correct issue. They believed that an alignment was necessary to fix the issue, which seems plausible. It took them 3 and a half hours before Shelly came to me and said they were having issues getting the alignment done, at which point Shelly gave me a rental vehicle (new 2020 model with only 49 miles on it) at no additional charge and 3 free oil change cards. This was EXCEPTIONAL customer service! Excellent job Shelly! ;) However, the service that was completed did NOT fix EITHER of the requested issues (though I got a lifetime alignment on the car so free alignments for the rest of my ownership, not a total loss). They didnt seem to check their work, like they were simply in a hurry to get the work done, and the technicians requested that additional work be done to the REAR wheel (which was not a recognizable issue) and replace the timing belt which would cost nearly a grand and a half to do! Neither of the recommended issues seemed to be necessary or recognizable (and they seemed way overpriced) and they didnt even correctly fixed either of the requested services.Pros: Outstanding customer service!Cons: It seems to me that the servicemen need to learn quality service and get their priorities straight.
The service department was well prepared for my visit for a recall repair. I was given an estimated time to wait, which was very accurate. The waiting area was full of other customers, and they were properly spaced for social distancing. There was a good bit of foot traffic that was less aware of distancing. All the employees and most of the customers wore masks. The service rep answered a few of my questions and I was on my way. It was a good experience.
I knew it was time to look for a new vehicle as my lease would be up soon. I had gone online to see what I wanted. I picked out a 2021 Tucson. I met a salesman Austin. He sat down and asked me what I was interested in getting. I told him and he brought the vehicle for me to see and try out. I was happy with it. He did what he needed to do and advised me of his findings so I could get the Tucson. I met the manager Eric and the financial person. Everyone at Dennis Hyundai East are helpful and great at the jobs they do. This is the third vehicle I have leased from them and I will keep coming back as long as I need a vehicle to drive. I also get all my service done there. They tell you what needs to be done to your vehicle and then perform the services you want done. The service staff are all nice and helpful. Thank you Dennis Hyundai East.
I am very happy with my experience at Dennis Automotive. Matt and Tyrone were great. Everyone was nice and very respectful. I got a great car at a great price with a good interest rate and my credit is only fair. I would definitely recommend you to go there. You wont be disappointed.
A few months ago, I bought a Sonata from Dennis Hyundai. Honestly, it was the best car buying experience that I’ve ever had. I also love my new car. Brent was super helpful, knowledgeable, and let me do things at my own pace. It was a pressure free experience, which was greatly appreciated. I had already been shopping at a few other dealerships in the area and had been pressured and hovered over and hounded via phone calls and texts. I’d definitely recommend buying a car at Dennis and specifically from Brent because of the quality customer service that I received.
Went to Dennis Hyundai East on Morse Road for a service with the appointment on 09-17-2020 at 1:30 PM for my Hyundai Elantra Sport. Waited almost 3 hours to get back my car. They did not inform me about the delay in the estimated time of service. When I checked with them, they said it would take another 25 mins or so. Then it was ready in 10 mins without the car wash (actually I said No to the car wash as I was already late). They did not have the courtesy to apologize for it. I feel like they rushed and just gave it back to me since I checked with them after the delay. When I got the car back, saw a dent on the rear under the trunk. Looks like it hit something while reversing my car.I complained to the Manager who was there and he said he need to look the cameras and get back to me. I have not heard anything since. I was really disappointed with the service and the treatment of my car. I would recommend others to go to a different center for their car service.
My wife, daughter and I had a very pleasant, professional buying experience yesterday. Shane oversaw the process to make sure it was on track, Brent drove the process, and Tyrone closed it out. Brent is pleasant, service minded, and professional. He knows his stuff. They are a well trained team. If you want an excellent value in a car and an easy process, go visit this team.
The price is affordable and they are upfront with the cost. They did a nice job washing it for free since my vehicle was not purchased their. My only issue was when the attendant told me I may need a brake service. I responded by asking if they did an inspection how did they not notice that I had new brakes nine months old. No response to that.Just bought a brand new Tucson and Terry was very easy to work with and made the process simple and without pressure.
First time I took my daughters car in and they tried to sell me stuff it didnt need. This time I had them do an oil change and tire rotation and my daughter complained of hearing a noise. I drove the car and looked at the lug nuts and they were loose on the front passenger with one lug nut missing. On the passenger rear there were 2 missing. How do you trust and continue to use a shop to get the job done correctly the first time after that?
Scheduled an appointment to look at a certain used vehicle for the next day at 2pm. Revcieved a call that morning confirming my appointment. Drove two hours to this dealership with every intention of buying this vehicle, just to find out that they had sold the vehicle the night before. Terrible internal communication. Ended up wasting a majority of my day because they were incapable of being aware of their inventory. Very disappointed with the service
Rather than bore anyone with the specifics just believe me when I say anytime I have brought my car in for service it is always a hassle. I do not believe them on half of the services. They are dismissive of women and talk down to them - a complaint of my wife and daughter. . You always have to leave a message as no one answers the phone. They also seem to have a limited parts inventory. Last service took five days because they broke a clip and couldn’t locate one nearby. No courtesy cars were available. I am going to be selling by Hyundai rather Thank deal with Dennis Hyundai again.
Our experience with Dennis Hyundai East was nothing but positive. Nathan Miller was an excellent salesman. He really worked on our behalf to get the deal we wanted. The sales manager Doug Williams was a pleasure to talk to. Jeremy Long in finance was very informitable and knowledgeable. We are loving the new car!!!! Thank you.
Brent and team were awesome and patient. I needed a new car for my daughter who’s a sophomore in college out of town at O.U. Her car was hit and totaled by an uninsured motorist. I needed it to be dependable and I needed it to be affordable. We came on a Saturday and test drove several cars. We didn’t leave that day with a car. We came back on Brents day off and he came in to help us! We left with the car that day. The only challenge was there was one finance person working, although I was paying cash I still had to wait to meet with him and it was a little backed up waiting for him. Maybe during a busy time like tax season they should consider more than one person working in that area at that time. Tyrone in finance was great too. Did the best he could given the circumstances.Thank you all!
The last four times weve been here it is very noticeable to a customer that they have scheduling issues.Time 1: Took it in for an oil change and the check engine light. They didnt want to deal with the check engine light so they just reset it. I told them it would come back on and they are wasting my time.Time 2: Scheduled an appointment to have the thermostat replaced. Unfortunately they dont do this on Saturdays so again they waisted my time.Time 3: It took them longer than they said to do the thermostat. They gave me a courtesy vehicle because of my past experiences. So this time it didnt turn out so bad. Notice how the light came back on.? Got home cause I could smell antifreeze. It was expected after having the work done but checked on it anyhow. Noticed the coolent was lowTime 4: For a 15 minute lube job it took them an hour and 50 minutes. Asked them to check the antifreeze level after having the service done prior. Service guy told me they always check all the fluids when I asked if they added coolant. This guy has lied more than once and I cant stand dealing with him. So I said to him if you always check the fluids and the service was done correctly the first time then why was it low when I got home the day of service. When I left I had to go back cause they didnt put a oil reminder sticker on the windshield.
We recently purchased a car from this location and all I can say is the customer service did not meet our expectations. Past 20 years, I’ve only purchased a car from Hyundai and this experience made me rethink about them. It was Sunday when we purchased our car and we were there from noon to 30 minutes after their closing time. Not once the manager came to us to explain what’s going on but we were left at the desk for long hours. After everything was settled, we got our car and the inside of the car was not very clean. I confirmed that they would clean in and out which was not the case. I mentioned there were spots needed to be cleaned and the agent brought out the spray and towels. I asked him if I can have it cleaned (not by him but professionally ) and that’s when we finally meet the manager. He told us to come in the next day for cleaning on specific time. (They could’ve asked us when we will be available not like come tomorrow on this specific time) I dont feel I bought a new car but a used car where people’s footprints everywhere and dirty spots on leather seats for 50k.
My service was done quickly professionally and politely. I want to give a shout out to Jeff and to Tim for being so courteous and informative. Four stars instead of five because what I left the lot I found out a couple of my lights were not plugged in. I will be going back as I always do.
Brent was absolutely hands down wonderful to work with. He was able to talk about the cars on sight and was knowledgeable about each vehicle. This was our first time buying a brand-new vehicle, and it couldn’t have gone better. Working with the financing team was also wonderful, and they turly assisted us in getting the payments where we needed them. Thanks so much for Brent and his team at Hyunda East on making this an easy and exciting experience.
I had some issues initially which were due to lack of communication. I had never purchased a Hyundai before and I personally do not like the entire car buying process in general. As a result, I pretty much determined in my mind that I could wait and would not be purchasing a vehicle at this time, or from them. However, the salesman, Matt at Dennis Hyundai East (sorry I do not have his card on me right now to disclose his full name), did not give up and I must admit, he worked hard to regain my trust which caused me to give him (it) another chance. He was transparent with regards to the information I that I requested and he worked diligently and expeditiously and got me a very good deal, especially based on my circumstances. Not only did he exceed my expectations, but the finance manager did as well. He gave me a very good deal on GAP insurance as well as some additional insurance. I believe in certain coverages, but did not have the money to pay for them up front and was dead set against financing them. I didnt get everything offered because I didnt need everything, but I did get what I wanted. The deal was so good that I could not turn it down. I believe that I made the right decision and that my deals were fair. However, time will tell. As Ive said, Ive never purchased a Hyundai before, but Im enjoying it so far.
Bought my first car from Dennis Hyundai East in 2019. Received amazing service from one of their representative who unfortunately doesnt work here anymore! Would highly recommend this place to anyone if theyre looking for brand new or used cars. Been taking my car here to get serviced for the past 2 years now and no problems so far. Their service is excellent. Would love to give a shout out to Nate Lamore and Todd Kistler both are amazing at their jobs! They always send me the multi point inspection report via email and give good advices.
Our sales person, Brionte, did a great job throughout our time on the sales lot at Dennis Hyundai. From greeting us when we arrived to getting us through the sales process. Our only negative to purchasing from this specific dealership was the wait. 🙁We were there approximately 5 hours total - 1 hour spent on making decision on which vehicle we wanted and 4 hours waiting on needed staff for each phase of the making the purchase. We have never experienced this before and did not find it to be favorable. We are very happy with vehicle we purchased.
I had a very pleasant experience with Dennis Hyundai! I was very hesitant on purchasing a new vehicle and quite frankly did want to deal with the “car purchasing” hassle. Working with Aerial was an amazing experience. I don’t think I have ever dealt with a salesperson who worked so hard for me! Since this was my very first brand new car, the technology of a new vehicle was frightening. Aerial was patient, knowledgeable, and humorous, all while making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Go see him! He is one of the best! The financing staff was amazing as well! Eric, was very patient with each of my concerns and did not try to pressure me into getting packages that were not beneficial to me. He was kind, funny, and extremely thorough. Both Aerial and Eric made this process very easy and extremely enjoyable!!
Not a bad experience but would like to share some feedback. Everytime I visit I have a huge list of items that I need to have done. Which in most cases dont need to be done. Also please make sure you put covers on my mates as I just had my car detailed and there was dirt all over my clean car.
The customer service at Dennis Hyundai North is exceptional. They will walk you through the process and they are not pushing you to buy. They are interested in what you want to buy and what you want in your car. This is my second car with them and each time I have gotten great service. The first car I bought was a 2009 Tucson never gave me any trouble.
I took my car to get new tires and a couple other minor services. Before even reaching the garage, two salesmen asked me if I was interested in a trade-in. I understand trying to get a sale, but when I said I wasnt interested, they both, from a distance of about 75 feet, carried on trying to pressure me into it.Then, I was informed that Id need to leave my car behind to have a recall service done. I was grateful for that (hooray free service) and for the free loaner car they gave me. He told me Id most likely be able to come back on Saturday to get my car back. Saturday came, and I hadnt received a call, so I called at 4:00 which, as it turns out, is closing time. So, I left a voicemail about the status of my car. Monday came, and I had no return call by 3:00, so I called again. The service clerk told me it was ready on Saturday and that he called me (on my cell phone which showed no missed calls on Saturday). When I said I didnt receive any calls, he said, Oh, no I called today. When I said again that I didnt receive any calls, he replied, Oh, well, yeah its ready. So rather than go on Saturday with my wife and 1-year-old to swap out our carseat, stroller, and mountain of other baby gear, I had to do it after work and enjoy PM rush hour. This was my first time at Dennis East. I will not be returning.
Most amazing dealership I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. From the time I have brought my car in the first time to my most recent visit the service team has gone above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. To say that the service dept is anything less then the best in the buisness is an understatement, thier professionalism and courtesy are A+. This team should be the model that all Hyundai team members are trained. Thanks once again to all the guys here at Dennis you guys are awesome!! Im happy to know I can take my car to a dealership i can trust that is fair and isnt money hungry. You guys know what customer service should be. Thanks
A very pleasant car buying experience. Every person that I dealt with and talk to was professional and very friendly. I went there knowing what I wanted and they brought the car out for me to test drive and all the paperwork was completed in a very quick and timely matter. I am very happy with my car and couldnt have had a better experience with what is usually a long drawn-out day buying a used car. A big thanks to Matt and everyone else there.
We someone takes their car to a dealership and spends $1200.00. I expected a courtesy vacuum of the interior and a complimentary oil change with the platinum tune up. The windshield wipers werent checked and not even the basics fluids were topped off. I expect much more from a dealership. I can take my car to a neighborhood mechanic from half the cost and better customer service.
I just purchased a 2020 Santa Fe and am very happy again with Dennis Hyundai. I bought a 2009 Elantra Touring from them 11 years ago and they have always done a fabulous job with service over the years. This Sunday I met Brent Johnson for a test drive on my now Santa Fe. He was very personable, friendly, informative and professional. He walked me through the whole process and made purchasing a new car very simple and relaxing. He was not pushy and took his time explaining all offers and details of the car. If you are looking to purchase a new car, I would strongly recommend contacting Brent Johnson.
Took my car in to get checked on a Wednesday and I found out that it needed a new part. Luckily it was covered by warranty. The part had to be ordered and I thought I would have it back by Friday afternoon. I received a call on Thursday afternoon that my car was fixed and ready to be picked up. Todd made the overall experience better.
So they were really nice. My cars seat decided not to go back, but forward up and down were working. They took it back, and after about 1.5 hours, they said switch was bad and it was 480 to fix and they would have to order the part. The tech moved the seat up further, so when I tried to get in to drive, I couldnt fit. So they took it back to try to get the seat back. I decided to look at you tube to see if anything was on there. The first video said there was a limit switch under the seat and sometimes they get stuck, just wiggle it and it should work. I showed it to the advisor, then showed it to the tech and they were stumped ( and had both seats torn apart at this point) so the one tech fiddled with the switch and voila....the seat moved back. So I had about 2.5 hours of my time involved, I showed the solution to them, and I still paid 99 dollars.....at least throw me an oil change and tire rotation for me educating your 2 technicians and service advisor on one possible solution to fix a seat that didnt go back. Again nice people, so thats the 3 stars.....
Jeff was very professional, courteous, and thorough during our interactions. He ensured I was comfortable, both physically and with the transaction. He also assisted me in scheduling a future service that I had enquired about. A wonderful service experience that has grown my esteem for the Hyundai brand.
I bought my car in June. Have taken it twice to this dealership for oil changes. Have been hit up for more than $300 in repairs/necessary maintenance EACH time. There is only 32,000 miles on it and its got a warranty and certified refurbished. I made an appointment both times. The second time, I waited 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me, even though I was the only person there and two service people were at the farthest station chatting. They they took my car and asked me to wait - someone would be in to discuss inspection findings. I waited 1.5 hours for a text saying I needed $300 in additional work including the SAME $150 fuel injection service I just paid/got taken for at the first oil change. I said no thanks. Got a text 5 minutes later that my car was ready. This is not acceptable customer service. I hate being upsold or taken advantage of every time I walk in the door.
I wanted to give a great big shout out to Nate Lamore, service advisor. Very helpful, friendly and courteous. I needed to have front brakes and rotors. He assured that he would have the paperwork ready when I arrived and so it was. In about an hour the work was done. I thought that was fast. I use to be hesitant about taking my car to the dealer. Just having him there put my mind at ease. Nate you are the best!
After several attempts at what I thought would be an easy bulb change and an auto shop that was WAY over priced, I ended up at Dennis Hyundai. All the technicians were super friendly and helpful. Chandler tried his hardest to replace the headlight bulb, but said he’d need to take the housing off. I didn’t have time that day, so I told him I’d be back in the morning. The next day I dropped my car off and he got it fixed within an hour. It was my first time going to Dennis Hyundai, but I’ll definitely be back!
I came to Dennis because my girlfriend had a great experience in the past and recommended this dealership. The salesperson, Matt, did a great job of recognizing my needs, and helping me weigh my options to make sure the car I got met all of those needs (including fitting my budget). He did a great job helping me make a decision when I didn’t have a preference (like color, I’m very happy when the color I ultimately went with). Drove off with the perfect car and a great deal!
Yesterday, we had a great experience at Dennis Hyundai East. As soon as we got out of our car, we were greeted warmly and were asked how we could be helped. We were led to Brent who provided great customer service. He was very kind, easy to talk to, personable, and listened very closely to our needs and wants. Brent along with the staff was able to find us the exact car we were looking for with all of the features we needed and desired at the price we were looking for. Brent took the time to explain the packages we could choose from and helped us to choose the best package for us. Brent went above and beyond in helping us to understand the features of the Hyundai Sonata and took the time after the purchase to help us get things setup in the car. Another thing that sticks out is that the purchasing process was very easy for us. Thank you Brent and Dennis Hyundai East for all you did yesterday. We are very happy and pleased with our lease purchase of the 2020 Hyundai Sonata!!!! I am sure you will see us again in the future.
I had a scheduled appointment because I was nearing my 90,000 mile check up. I took the car in with preexisting issues. The issues were fixed but the timeframe in the beginning was a week and ended up being over a week and a half. I was put into a rental which my warranty covered but the constant wondering and set backs were a little unwanted. But my biggest issue was when I received my car my steering wheel is not centered it now looks as if you start the progression of a right turn. This is my first issue with Dennis Hyundai and I have been with them for over two years. If it was not for the steering wheel issue Im sure I could give this review 5 stars.
Ive taken my vehicles here for service for a number of years. The service advisors are good about explaining what they recommend now and what can wait for later. A number of their services are competitively priced (sometimes the same price), so why go somewhere else when you can have genuine parts from the dealer?
I bought my car in 2015 and have continued to return to Dennis for all the maintenance. A lot of people say don’t go to the dealership for service because it’s so much more expensive but this place does a quality job. I keep coming back because I know they’re going to take car of my car and do it right. I’ll gladly pay a little more for the peace of mind and quality of service.
Matt helped me purchase a new Sonata. After the rebates and the trade allowance (which was quite fair), I got what was the best deal that I could find within 200 miles (by a considerable amount). Everyone was helpful. They offered me drinks and moved the plates from my old car to my new car for me. The whole process took about 2 hours and 15 minutes. I forgot to bring my most recent registration for the trade in, and they allowed me to email it to them the next day. I definitely recommend calling over emailing. In my experience, things will move along quicker that way. My experience was great, and Id definitely recommend shopping here.
Dont trust they are repairing what they say. Shop supposedly replaced all brake pads and rotors in September of 20. Had terrible sounds come up just the last month. Took to another shop that has taken care of me. Bearings need replaced, ok sure... Also needs new brakes and rotors? Not even an oil change worth of miles since? I dont think so.Insurance company isnt happy about paying cash for work that was blatantly ignored...
Worked with Rebecca today to buy a used Kia Sorento. She made the whole process super easy and was extremely thorough. She even helped my other half set up the tech in the car after the sale. Would not hesitate to go back and buy another car from her. Thanks for a great experience.
Leasing the car was easy. Dealing with getting the title for my bank loan that we switched it over too has been hell for a year. My bank has sent you a check that you cashed. We have sent in and also faxed over paperwork multiple times. How can I get my title and this resolved.
I went in for my first oil change on my Ioniq. I was immediately greeted by a very nice man (forgot his name). He was very kind. I told him I was there on lunch and told him I was told it would take an hour. Within the hour my car service had been completed. The best part about my appointment was the man who tended to me.My most recent oil change left me with a different feeling. I received a call while my car was being serviced from the dealership regarding suggested work in addition to my oil change (no surprise...this is what all places do). I was told that I could use an alignment and tire rotation for an extra fee of course. I told him no a few times and he said said my car would be ready shortly. Before I took my car in to be serviced there was no indication of me needing an alignment but after leaving it is quite apparent. Had I gone to my previous servicer I would not have had this issue. I do plan on getting it done but the car will be sitting for a while... not that there is anything wrong - I dont like driving in the winter.
The sales people at Dennis have always worked hard to find the right vehicle for me. Although we test drove a different model of the car I leased, I am happy with the vehicle that Dee was able to locate for me based on my preferences. I was happy with the deal that I was offered and the finance manager Mitch was very efficient and made the purchase easy. The biggest complaint I have is that the process took six hours. I had an appointment and everyone was aware of what I was there for. After a short meeting with the finance manager, I was turned over to Dee in sales. It was clear that she had too many customers to work with at the same time. There was a lot of waiting for the next step in the process. It is fortunate that we came in two different vehicles so that my wife could attend to a commitment we had.
I ended up buying a new car from Hatfield Hyundai. I had planned to purchase a used car from Dennis, but after doing a little research a new car at Dennis just seemed like a better deal. I really enjoyed working with the used sales team—Andrew and Sales Manager Tom were very patient and kind. I wish Andrew had been a better listener at times and asked more questions, but he checked in with me often and seemed very knowledgeable about the car and the process. I felt like he invested energy into making my experience a pleasant one. The team on the new car end, however, demonstrated little regard for integrity and lacked basic understanding that people are more important than products and if you treat people well, they’ll most often treat you well in return. They told me lie after lie after lie. I was very fortunate to have had someone with me who is very knowledgeable about the car buying process or I would’ve walked away with a much higher interest rate or something switched so they could make more money. Will Hunter acknowledged that he and his finance guy Andy wouldn’t honor the price that was clearly listed on their website unless I chose their financing options (which changed several times) because they’d lose $1600. I hope losing me as a customer and all the people who read this review was worth the cost. Nevertheless their loss was my and Hatfield’s gain. I am driving a new car that I love with affordable payments. And in honoring Dennis ad with no hassle, Hatfield has gained my business for life and a good word about their dealership to every person I know.
The two service associates I worked with Tim and Nate, were very professional. They worked with me and my very difficult tire warranty company to get my vehicle taken care of and covered by my warranty. I appreciate their help and definitely recommend this location for any vehicle needs.
It was my second time meeting to get Hyundai sonata and i bought it within minutes because of the one man , Mr. Brent Johnson. Awesome experience with him again.great explanation , deep knowledge and always helpful for everything, Honestly whenever i meet him , i feel like i am talking to a member of my family. No hesitation ever. Believe me and try for yourself if you are hunting for a New Car .
Dennis Hyundai was ready for me at the appointed time. Nick(?) was very nice and told me that the service associated with the recall would take about an hour. He said he would call me when the car was ready, and that he would have the car given general lookover for anything else that might be needed. He called me in under an hour to inform me of a few other things that were found. I declined having those items addressed at this time and he said the car would be finished in a few more minutes and that he would call back shortly when ready for pickup. He called and I picked the car up. He did a fine job. Thanks. Frank
I had a great easy experience. I had a 8:15am appointment on a Saturday for a 15k service. I got right in the service advisor explained the service, told my how long it should take and showed me to the waiting area. It was done exactly on the estimated time and washed, I paid and left.
Simply put: Dennis Hyundai East is a place you can take your car to get fixed and know that they have your best interest at heart.I had a problem with my transmission in which it turned out that I needed a new one. I did have documentation where I had bought it in before to troubleshoot it but they couldnt find anything.Their first response was to get a hold of corporate Hyundai and see what could be done for me. None of this stuff where you are on your own and tough luck.Nick, my service was outstanding and worked with Hyundai to make it right.I have taken several cars of mine there and I do my best to let everyone else I know, that this is a place you can trust.I will also say that Todd, the Service Department manager has incredible customer care service too.,I totally rely on my car to always run and to be as safe as possible as I occasionally take long distance trips.I have had several situations with their service department where they have always done the right thing.I am a customer for life!!
Could not be more pleased with our Salesman, Nathan Miller. We came from over an hour away, and was able to reach a deal over the phone because I did not want to waste anyone’s time driving 60 miles, for it not to work out. We got there and there were no surprises it was a very smooth process, and honestly took the stress out of buying. So kudos, to Nathan. Also, Bryan, the Finance Mgr. was excellent. No pressure and was are eager to keep us within our budget and also made it a very positive experience.
Brent Johnson was very knowledgeable and thoroughly shared necessary information throughout the entire process. Never once did I sense the typical sales pressures one can get when looking for a car, and no condescension whatsoever. Eric was superbly concise with finalizing the deal. Dennis Hyundai Easton staff all seemed happy to be there, offering a feeling of comfort and unity. I wish we had found this organization long ago.
Would highly Recommend Brent Johnson, not only did he gracefully handle a phone call from my dad states away, he was very knowledge, and broke things down in a way that I (first time car buyer) understood. Him, and everyone else at Dennis Hyundai East, are really committed to make sure that your needs are met and will go the extra mile for you (literally, they set me up in an office so i could make an online work meeting while they finished my paperwork)10/10.
As my lease was ending, I called Hyundai to let them know I would like to purchase my car. The salesman, Steve O, sounded shocked and told me to come in so I could see my options. I made it clear to him on the phone that I did not want to spend more than I currently am. We made an appointment for that day to look at my options.Upon coming into the dealership…- He could not remember my name even though we had talked earlier that day and did not ask the name of my significant other. He did not make a point to reiterate what we had previously discussed or find what I was looking for.- He told me he needed to appraise my car before we could proceed and took my keys. He then went to the wrong vehicle. I had to go out and tell him he was appraising the wrong vehicle. He also did not give me my keys back even though I had asked for them.- He did not ask my price point or what I was willing to spend even though I had made it clear I did not want to spend a lot of money.- At the beginning of the appointment, it was made transparent I was looking at my options but not making any choices that day.- Steve O put me in a new car and when I asked the price he simply stated it don’t know’ and walked away. He didn’t look at the price tag which was on the backseat window. It was well over what I was willing to pay and had previously discussed with him.- Upon returning from the test drive, he started talking numbers without knowing the interest rates he was offering me or the down payment I was going to put down.- When trying to sell me the new car, Steve O tried to tell me tire rotations and oil changes they’ve added in for three years would offset the cost difference to buy the new car.- When trying to sell me the car I am currently leasing, he did not know the interest rate he was offering me. After talking with his manager, he returned and told me it was 6%. He then told me ‘this is the best you’re going to get.’ I told him I had good credit and that the bank was offering around 4% for a car loan. He got up, talked to him manager, returned with an interest rate of 3.9%. When he returned, he threw the pen and paper down expecting me to sign it. I said I didn’t want to sign it today that I was weighing my options.- When my significant other stepped in and stated that I was not interested in the new car since it was over what I was willing to spend Steve O stated, ‘Who’s buying the car?’ Then when my SO stated we would not be making a choice today and he didn’t want me to feel pressure Steve O stated, ‘You’re the one pressuring her’. The conversation continued to escalate and became argumentative and unprofessional.- I asked for my keys, which I still had not received back. I waited for some time and he hadn’t returned. I had to go into his manager’s office to retrieve my keys.- After I left, I received a call from one of the female employees apologizing for his behavior. As the consumer and woman, I felt pressured, belittled, and unheard. I do NOT recommend shopping at this car dealership. I will either transfer to another Hyundai dealership or I will return my car at the end of my lease and pay the end of lease return before working with this dealership.
My first contact was by phone with Kens. She is very courteous and calmAt the time I spoke with her I was in an awful state mentally due to an accident that was not my fault but caused terrible damage to my car. Talking to Kens gave me confidence that their company could do the collision and other repair to my car. Max and Kena kept me updated on their progress on my car.The work done on my car put it in like new confition. Thank you Dennis Hyundai on Morse Rd for excellent service!I highly recommend them!
This was our first time buying from this dealership. I would go back because they treated my wife and I like you should be treated when buying a new car. They showed us several models, answered all our questions and stayed after close to finalize our purchase. Bryant in sales was knowledgeable and professional and Eric in finance was the same. Overall we had a positive experience at Dennis Automotive in Columbus, Ohio.
Absolutely best experience EVER at a car dealership. We worked with Brent and he made the process of finding a decent second car so easy. We will definitely be back when we are ready for another car! Thank you so much Brent and all of the amazing staff at Dennis East!!!!
Rebecca was incredible. Well informed, patient, helpful, personable and polite. She navigated us through various obstacles including a credit freeze I had forgotten about. She stuck with me, helping find a car when the one I was there to test drive sold ten minutes before I got there. When I didnt like the color of an almost identical car, she assessed what I was looking for and found another vehicle for me, the perfect car for me. She took us on two test drives, worked through my trade in and made countless trips to the sales manager getting everything I needed. Not once did she ever appear frazzled, never lost her composure and smiled through 3 hours of work, even when my appointment was with another salesperson and she was filling in. I sincerely hope when my wife is ready to replace her car, Rebecca is at Dennis Hyundai and sells us our next car. Ill work around HER schedule to make sure shes our salesperson.
Getting my car serviced here is always a great experience. I pull up, someone immediately comes up to me and we go over the service options. I wait in the waiting area which is clean, has coffee, water and food, and desks with power strips so I can work while I wait. They promptly get me on my way within 1-2 hours (depending on the service needs that time).
Johnathan was very nice and informative from start to finish. The first time I went in we looked at a vehicle and talked over a deal and I ended up not being able to follow through with the purchase that day. I came in a couple days later and he upheld the deal that was made during the first visit which isn’t something that’s done very often. The buying process went smoothly and he accommodated all my needs! Great place to buy your vehicle.
Everyone was very courteous. After the initial repairs to my car were done I had to take it back for more work and they made the process very easy. They got my car back to me in a timely manner and it looks and rides awesome. I would definitely recommend them for your auto repairs and body work.
Very nice, communicated well, honest, and quick. Editing bc I took it in a second time to have a second, but related, issue fixed. They did fix the second issue but after two visits and almost $500 worth of work Im still having brake noise and they didnt say there was anything else wrong with it.Editing a 2nd time bc I just had to have $1200 in brake repair bc my caliper seized and they wanted to replace the rotors and pads etc but it was fine when I had it in 12 months ago..
My appointment was scheduled for 8:30 am. We arrived a few minutes early and we pulled in the garage. I pulled my car up and parked. There were two people working. We got out of the car and waited for someone to acknowledge that we were there. The guy at the first desk looked at me and went on about what he was doing. We were the only people there. I was really hoping that I would not have the same experience as I had had before! After a minute or so, Zack approached me and started the process to get things going. He was friendly and helpful and explained what we were scheduled to have done. I also asked about a part that was under my seat that I wasn’t sure where it went and that we also had an interior light out in the front of car. Zack said that they would take care of it.Our car was left in the care of your staff. The last time I was at this location I did not have a good experience. I was treated as if I was interfering with their job! I was told that the part that was under my seat would have to be ordered and I would get a call when it was in. Never received a call. When the car needed to have an oil change, I went to your Sawmill location, without an appointment, and was treated with friendly staff and if I was able to give them a few minutes, they would get our car in for service. I was pleasantly surprised! We were waiting and a young man came up to us and introduced himself as Cooper.I told him how impressed I was with this location and about my last visit at the Morse Road location. He stated that the next time I needed service for the car, I would be treated like a valued customer. When we arrived for our appointment and we waited to be acknowledged. Zach made this appointment not so painful. His prompt attention to getting us checked in helped me to want to give the Morse Road location a second chance! I’m still not pleased the way the the guy at the first desk who basically ignored us. He could have said hello and said that someone would be with us shortly or something! Our car was serviced in less time than I expected! Zack came in and explained what the piece under my seat was and stated that he had snapped it back into place, on the front of the drivers seat. The extra issues were fixed without a problem. When our car was finished, Zack came into the waiting room and explained what services needed to be taken care of and gave us an estimate of what the cost may be. Thankful for a positive experience. My only complaint is that there is not a handicap exit from the service area to the waiting area. My husband and I both use a Rollater to walk. We had to exit the service area and walk through the parking lot to get to a ramp to enter through a very heavy door to get to the waiting area. I think business are supposed to be accessible for all of their customers!
Im disappointed in your new car salesman thats 35, working nearby undercutting used car deals, and all around *not a daddy* shark. Actually disappointed from me takes a while for me to respond to, but I did want to recommend the expertise of the 50 year old gentlemen. They almost managed to fix everything immediately but theres an issue with this young fellas appearance radically changing his entire idea about what it means to be a part of our community. This is neatly simplified for a personal followup by wiser choices than ever going there for a few months as they reckon or lose income.
What a terrible experience. Took my car in for a recall. Made an appointment and showed up for it a little early. Service tech checked me in, I asked how long for all the work. (There ended up being 3 open recalls.) The tech told me about an hour or so. Not a problem, I told him I was going to be running around the area. I showed back up to wait the remaining time about an hour and half later. I waited about an extra hour before finally going to check. I was told it would be an additional hour. I voiced my displeasure ( I would not have had a problem with it had I been told 3 or so hours from the start.) I was offered a rental car to come home. I declined because in an hour I would drive home and back. About an hour and a half later, the tech came for me to sign and said my car was being pulled around. 30 minutes later I was still waiting. I went back again and the tech said they were still working on it. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was not in, I was told that the supervisor was busy and would talk with me when finished. My car was finally ready about 20 minutes after that. When I went to pick it up, a different tech told me the supervisor was too busy to speak with me, but he would make sure to have them put an oil change on my account. I told him thanks, but I would not be coming back to get an oil change. This was over a week ago and I have not heard from anyone at Dennis. Will never go back for service and most likely never to purchase another vehicle.
Every moment was a nightmare and we regret ever doing business with them. They refused to give us a title and not having the title of the car meant hours of work. When we sold them back the car, they kept the license and did not inform us that we needed it to cancel the vehicle registration. Every administrative blunder you can imagine put us through a Kafkaesque universe of red tape and stupidity. Car was Hyundai Sonata.
Took my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe to the dealership for the AC and a rumbling noise! They had to keep my car over the weekend and Chandlier my service guy was amazing, knowledgeable, helpful and made me feel secure with my car being left at the shop over the weekend! He got me into a loaner car and dotted every I and crossed every T! I’ve been going to that dealership since 2013 and this has Gm been the best service I’ve ever received! He checked warranty info on the car to see if repairs would be covered, e test drive the car to figure what I was trying to tell him was wrong with the car! Just exceptional service! Thanks Chandlier! Your now my service guy!
They took very good care of me there I had a not sticking out of the side of my tire. Dates change that tire and I bought another one. They took me in in a hurry and fix the problem. When I left one of the tires was going low instructor instructed me not to go to Cleveland about to turn around and come back so that they could fix or see what was wrong with the new tire. Very good service I appreciate the service man and everything that they did for me thank you very much. Dana Evans
We looked for cars online and found the one we wanted at Dennis Hyundai East. I called and spoke with Matthew Monty Montgomery to make sure it was still available and told him we would be in after work. He had the car pulled to the front and waiting for us when we got there. He was great to deal with from start to finish. After the awesome guys in financing got us all taken care of, Monty got the car detailed and drove it himself to put gas in it. When we are ready for a new car, we will definitely be going to Dennis Hyundai East and working with Monty!
Id done a lot of research and determined I wanted a specific model with options I selected using Hyundais main website. I went to Dennis to drive one that was similar but not exactly what I wanted. I drove a similar car and it was a good experience. I returned to the web and submitted a custom build option and selected Dennis as my preferred (closest) dealer. Since then, regardless of selecting email as my preferred contact method, Ive recieved numerous calls, texts and emails from 4 different people. Some didnt even know which car I wanted and most recently, Ive had four more contacts referring to me with the wrong name. What a mess they appear to be. Ive never even received a response on how I can order the vehicle I want.I repeated my online request with Ricart and was promptly contacted as I requested. Unlike Dennis, they understood that I wanted something specific and didnt try to sell me something else and are working to find a solution without wasting my time or spamming me.
Great friendly service. First time coming here for my Genesis coupe oil change and no complaints. I am not always in the area but using the my Hyundai app I was able to get in the same day at Dennis. My usual dealership in another area of town has a much less user friendly scheduling service that has been showing that they have zero appointments available until 3mo from now and I think it is in error. The Dennis scheduling was much more streamlined and they charge 10.00 LESS than the other dealer. If I am in the area when I need my next service I would definately return to Dennis. They even washed my car and had it ready while I relaxed in the waiting area. Thank you for a great job Dennis service department.
My experience with Dennis was a great one. This was my 5th vehicle from them. Jeremy my sales representative was very prompt and quickly found the vehicle with the options I wanted. My only ding with the whole process was when signing the papers, the finance guy repeatedly pushed additional add ones when my wife and I very plainly expressed we were not interested. After we got over that he got everything done and signed in good time.
I went to Dennis for a routine oil change, tire rotation and was met by a wonderful man who was cheerful to assist me. I was in a hurry and really needed a quick oil change. After 29 minutes, Shelley came to me and said it’s finished. I was shocked. He said we check the major things on the multi-point such as leaks, brakes and tires. He suggested for me to come back one day so we could do a detail inspection because you deserve it. He was in tuned to my immediate need which was a quick oil change. However, I left Dennis Hyundai feeling so appreciated. Thank you Shelley.
This was my first time coming to this dealership location and they did a pretty good job. They met my most of my expectations. Only reason I didn’t give them a better rating because I voiced a minor problem I had with my car door squeaking but the service department worker only suggested I get some WD40. I think it was a simple issue that they could have temporarily fixed for me and I could maintain it from there. I’m not even sure where the squeaking is coming from.I found out on 4/9/20 that it should’ve been sprayed with lithium grease, hence the updated review and score.
We bought a 2019 Kia Forte from Brian Ensminger. We were very pleased with him. I felt like he was honest and upfront with me on everything about the car and the deal. However, we had a completely different experience when it came to signing our paperwork. The woman that worked with us, I believe was named Nancy. I understand that she was only doing her job trying to up sell different items to me for warranties but when I declined, she got nasty and rude. She then tried scared tactics on why I should buy them. Then when I signed the paperwork, I noticed that the interest rate was a different rate then what I was told it was going to be. (3.77 but it was at 4.10). I pointed it out and she got very flustered. She said that it would be a lot of work to change it for “pennies on the dollar”. She was right that it was a difference of $3.00 a month but I felt it was a little crooked. If she had been my first encounter at the dealership, I would have left. The whole experience gave me buyers remorse the more I thought about it.
I received great, honest service here. I took my car in for air conditioning issues. They gave me an estimate in case the repairs were not under warranty service. As it turned out, everything was under warranty. The place was clean. Everyone I talked to was friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them.
So I had a problem that was covered by a Recall a few years ago, so honestly I expected it to be covered. When I got to the Service Bay and a technician, I was told that no, it wouldn’t be covered, and there’s a $99 diagnosis fee right off the top, just to take a look and figure it out. I was told it’d be about 45 minutes for them to take a look. An hour and a half later I went back into the bay, and the technician says, Oh man, I’ve been trying for a half an hour to get back to talk to you, but we’ve been slammed. Ok, understandable, but not my problem. They need more help evidently. He told me the problem, said it’d be $110 to fix, and the $99 inspection would be waived if I had the service done. Ok, that’s cool. Problem is, it was a $5 part. It took less than 10 minutes to repair. So bottom line, if at all possible, don’t go to the dealer (at least not this one) for anything non-warranty related service, and be prepared to wait.
My son Jordan just purchased his first car from here and it was the best experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle!! Our sales person Brian was amazing and knowledgeable on the car buying process!! I am going to send everyone I know who needs a car here!!!! Eric was also amazing!! Thank you for everything!!
Service guy that I worked with, Jeff, was very nice however when I left, the problem I had with my car was pretty much just as bad as when I came in. He advised me that it had been significantly addressed and it is impossible for me to believe that one of the service technicians ACTUALLY drove my car before it was fixed and then after because they would certainly have known and felt the problem to be as significant. I called right back on my way home. Advice that the shaking that my car was doing every time I came to a stop, MAY STILL be significant BUT the safety issues were addressed...But what about the problem I brought it in for? Im told that its going to be $300+ more....
Monte shared too much paperwork to sign but his presentation was Excellent. He made parting with so much cash fun. Throne was Excellent in showing me a extra warranty to make my day better. Only to get even better with a payment plan. Thanks to Monte and Tyrone You both earned your bonus dealing with me...... I am 2 hands full!
I would like to thank Nathan for helping both my parents and I purchase our new vehicles! He was very knowledgeable on the vehicle i selected and the process was seamless. I’m in love with my new Hyundai & i recommend that everyone go see Nathan. I really appreciate it!
I had no problem with the work that was done. It was done properly and in a timely manner. The problem was that the car was brought to the dealership by an independent body shop. The body shop should have been informed that the work was done so that they could retrieve the car and I could pick it up from the body shop in a timely manner.
I recently purchased my new car here and was delighted with them from arriving on the lot to driving my new car home a few hours later.. Matt Staten greeted me with a smile and went above and beyond to work with me to get exactly what I wanted, even going to bring my car from another site. He was a true professional in every way. This is my 3rd car purchase from this dealership...2003, 2013 and 2019. The only place I would ever consider to buy a car! Thank you again Matt Staten, you are the best!
I had a great experience buying a car from Dennis Hyundai East. They had just the car we wanted and made the process quick and easy. They even stayed 2 hours after the dealership closed to make sure we had everything squared away. I would recommend checking out this dealership to anyone looking for a new or used car. Special thanks to Brian and Corey for taking care of us!
I had a very good experience in the service department with oil change. They welcomed me with a smile and asked if I had any questions or concerns before and after my car was serviced. The online scheduling was very easy to make an appointment according to when I had availability. Total appreciated the text alert.
I had taken my Sonata to be serviced at this location twice this year and management took extremely good care of me on both occasions. The communication was direct and accurate, and the price was lower than I had anticipated. I have not had a better experience having a vehicle serviced than I have at Dennis East. Much appreciated!
I like this dealership and still would recommend them, however this particular experience was not good and I believe it was mainly due to them being short staffed the day I went in.That said, ultimately my issue was not fixed. I went in for an alignment issue, I think they adjusted the alignment, however the car still bears to the left ... I am guessing the issue must not be the alignment but the front right wheel pushing more than the left, causing it to veer off (I have an AWD genesis).I was told it would be an hour and a half, and it was 3 hours.I am certain they didn’t even test drive the car to ensure that the alignment was fixed because the moment I left the dealership the car still showed it’s desire to go left the moment I got on the road. I was very upset to not only have been there an hour and a half longer than expected, but on top my issue was not fixed.I would have appreciated being told the alignment did not fix the issue and hear the proposed solution as I am constantly fighting the car to keep it in the current lane.UPDATE:: I went in a second time and they ensured the Genesis mechanic worked on it... he figured out two new tires had been placed on the right with old ones on the left. So while the alignment was perfect the different sizing between the tires was making it veer. They moved both new tires to the rear and now it drives straight.
I came to Dennis Hyundai for a test drive on a vehicle I had seen online. Brent Johnson was there with me every step of the way to make sure that everything was ready when I arrived. We sat down with Brent to view information on the vehicle, and he presented all options to help me make the best decision, considering both finances and longevity. Brent was personable, informative, and had a great attitude! I ended up purchasing a new 2020 Hyundai Elantra and I couldnt be happier! Thank you Brent for helping me buy a car that will last, and for answering all of my many questions. Go see Brent Johnson at Dennis Hyundai for your car needs!
We are beyond pleased with our whole experience from Dennis Hyundai. Brent Johnson went above and beyond to make sure the price was within our range, and to find the perfect fit for our family. I would recommend if you are in the market for a new vehicle to go see Brent Johnson.
I was not expecting to buy a new Hyundai this morning when I woke up. I had been talking with Brent Johnson about a new Santa Fe. I actually emailed Brent and asked if I could reschedule. He texted me and said he thought he had the right vehicle and could work on a great deal. Stopped in, did a test drive, talked, and completed the deal later on this afternoon. Brent and the Dennis Hyundai team are polite & courteous. The dealership is completely Covid compliant. The most important thing to me is that Brent is extremely personable, and he listens. He didnt talk over me or throw out a bunch of salesman talk. I do not like to make major purchases at all! However, my experience with Brent and his team at Dennis was first rate, comfortable, and efficient! Brent-my personal thanks for your help. Matthew Hester
If there is any star below negative zillion thats what I would give this dealership. I went there for a pre-paid maintenance(oil change and tire rotation) for my Hyundai Palisade. After an hour and half I took my car with no explanation of what services were done and no result of 13 point inspection. When I start my car I saw that the computer was showing the same maintenance needed after such and such miles or such and such days. Just out of curiosity I checked the tires and no rotation was done. I knew where the tires were since I bought a new rim and tire for the rear passenger side. I went back to the dealership and asked for explanation and was basically told to ‘get the hell out of here’. If possible please avoid this dealership at any cost.
I had a fantastic experience here! I’m young and don’t know too much about cars but I needed my car serviced. The person who helped me was very patient and made everything very clear. I was only there for a little over an hour, which was great for me because I made a same day appointment. I recommend coming here.
Been a customer for 15 years. The service department is awesome. Staff is friendly. Never pressures you into repairs/services that arent really needed at the time. Not that getting my car serviced is my favorite thing to do in life but they make me not mind it at all.
BEWARE of this place! Had an appointment to have a used car inspected, and right after that I was going to purchase it. The salesman knew this, but allowed it to be sold the night before. He said he had called me the night before to tell me about this/warn me, but I checked my phone, and that did not happen. Avoid this sleazy dealership!!
I bought my new car in April and they were so great helping me get everything I needed and helping choose the right car for me. I went for an oil change and They were so nice and got the job done quicker than most places I’ve been so that’s great. I received a call when my car was done and just went to pick it up. Great experience.
I took my Hyundai to this dealer to correct a software recall. While there, I asked for an estimate to replace a gas door, accentuator assembly. Not only did it take forever but, after the fact, I found out they broke the access cover to the assembly. I guess I now know why a simple software update took over 2 hours even with an appointment. What could have been a $200-300 repair will cost hundreds more because the entire, interior panel needs to be replaced. Currently, I have to tape the access cover closed. These mechanics were not the first to give me a quote on this. Even I was able to remove and replace this cover without breaking it or weakening the connection points. They didnt have to open it as I told them exactly what part was needed. I am now in a different state with my closest Hyundai dealership being 2 hours away. I know Im screwed on this. Dennis Hyundai needs to train their mechanics and public contact personnel to be more careful and to own up if they break something.
Service loaner was a base-model Tucson. While the loaner drove very well, this wasnt in line with the agreement for purchasing a new Genesis from the company so that was upsetting. The service conducted was standard. The interior detailing was good, exterior-detailing was sub-par.
After my car was totaled in an accident, Brent helped me get into the new car I had my eyes on. He made what I expected to be a daunting process surprisingly pleasant. He kept us in the loop, made sure we were taken care of, and kept our girls entertained while we were there.Thank you, Brent!!
When we first went to this dealership, it all looked great! Our salesman, Justin was absolutely fun to work with and got me the car I really wanted from the back lot! Everything was going great, so we were pleased. It was a tough signing process. The finance manager, Tyrone, was too worried about the parking lot than going over our paperwork. He left several times and the transaction just felt cold.About 4 days later Tyrone called and stated that there was an issue with the payoff on our trade in. My husband and I tried returning his calls several times, but it took a week and a half before he ever returned our call. During that time we also tried to get ahold of our salesman and he never returned our calls either. When we test drove our Hyundai, we had a $50 test drive gift card voucher from Hyundai that the dealership had to redeem. We turned it into Justin and he told us it would be about 48 hours until we received an email with the gift card. It’s been almost 3 weeks since we bought the car and no gift card. Again we have called Justin and left voicemails, but he never returns our calls. We have bought through other dealerships and they by far exceed this place! They call and ask if you love your car, have questions and need anything; DO NOT expect anything like that here. Do not even expect a return phone call. The receptionist will even “give them a message immediately” but that never happens.I just want my gift card and my trade in paid off, because it still isn’t paid off.
Review For Service Dept.... I always have a good experience with the service team here. They are thorough, friendly, and efficient. What I like the most is that the service team is straight forward. I never feel pressured to get things I dont want. Recommendations are made but if I say no thank you that is it. As a woman with little knowledge of a cars inner-workings, I am always a bit leery when going to a dealership for anything. I am grateful that the service dept. is one team that I dont have to worry about!!
As always, Dennis provides me with total care for my auto; a good example occurred yesterday... something dragging under my G-80, which required immediate attention. Dennis got me scheduled within 2 minutes and got me in 1 hour after my call. They fixed the problem and a job well done. Truly, Dennis customers are provided with the best care; they all are professional and never fail to treat me as if I am their best customer! Thank you Dennis Hyundai, Morse Rd.!! Very satisfied and always responsive.
Ive never shopped for a car and walked in, was there for an hour and a half, and left with a car that Im genuinely excited to drive for years to come! I didnt feel pressured in any way, and Justin was no nonsense. I appreciated that he heard me when I said Im not paying more than this amount and showed me my options quickly. I felt like I was car shopping with a friend who wants me to like what I get.
I had a great experience with my purchase at Dennis. I told Aaron what car I wanted and he found the exact one. He made me feel that he was genuinely trying to find the car I wanted and not trying to sell me. The process was quick, easy and I got a car that I love. Thanks Aaron and Mitch!
Had some troubles with my right outer tire rod, took it in to get fixed and loan behold they say the left inner tire rod needs fixed as well which was going to cost me an additional $400+ on top of the $300 i was going to be paying alone for the right side. I was sooooo mad that they did not catch this 4 days prior when i brought it in to get looked at specifically for the tire rods, i dealt with Jeff and he was very nice and understanding of my frustration he let me talk to Casey the manager and Casey was very nice, he gave me $100 off for whenever i decide to come in to get the left tire rod fixed. Very understanding business & friendly staff.
Good DealershipMichael from sales was great person to work with. The only downside of this for me was. Mirror got broke while being detailed before we left the dealership. Had to take truck back to get mirror fixed. They got wrong mirror and put it on the truck. Was told they would overnight one on Tuesday 9/3/19. I didnt get the mirror until 9/12/19. Got looking at changing out the mirror. And found that the service person that changed the mirror out broke the plastic that covers the mirror on inside of the truck. Not a happy customer at all. I would of given 4 to 5 stars if I wouldnt have had a bad experience over a mirror

2022-04-11I cant say enough about the experience that I had with Dennis Hyundai East!! Dont let the looks of the young staff fool you. They were very knowledgeable and understood my needs without the pushiness of other dealers and salespeople. They found me exactly what I was looking for and more! The finance department is top-notch and made sure I walked out with a new set of keys and a smile on my face.We will be going back soon to buy again!

2022-07-29I dont usually go to the dealer for car repairs, but my car was recently stolen and the insurance company towed it here. My car ended up needing a new engine, steering column and ignition! Everyone I spoke with was helpful, courteous and well informed. My emails and phone calls were promptly returned and they had my car ready to go in a months time just like they estimated. Although it was awful to have my car stolen, everyone at Dennis Hyundai helped make the experience as stress free as possible. Special thanks to Todd, Max and Keena!

2022-04-09My daughter just recently purchased a car from Dennis Hyundai East. We first ran into an issue, but the problem was resolved immediately. Brent, Adam, and Aaron were all extremely helpful and fair throughout the entire process. My experience there honestly changed my perception of car dealerships. They are different in the way they treat their customers. I live pretty far away, but I will definitely be heading back for service and when I’m ready for another car.

2021-10-31Wish I could give it a zeroBeen coming to the service department for the past month because my car has been making noise in the right tire and they couldn’t figure out what the issue was while they were doing research they messed up my dashboard which didn’t turn on when they gave the car back to me. 2 weeks after the entire system back up camera ,heated seat are malfunctioning. To me, it s obvious that my car has been messed with by the technicians themselves. And they paid no responsibility for it.I would never recommend this place to anyone especially the service department.Yea

2022-07-22Dealt with a nice salesmen by the name of Brent he wasn’t in the office when i returned so we were greeted by a rude salesmen stating he had surgery n wouldn’t be in for a while,, he was all about the sale didn’t explain anything… kept sending everyone else to talk to us like a coward… then had the finance man to deny the sale because “we were approved by our own bank”. His exact words “we don’t take outside financing” me: it’s a check from my bank you don’t take cash? Them no!100% do not recommend!

2022-04-11Really just a big shoutout to the nice folks at Dennis. I have never bought a car there, had ZERO intentions of buying the Mrs a car there yesterday when we stopped to look at a used Hyundai, and a few hours later she left with the car of her dreams. Salesperson was awesome (pretty sure he was shocked we bought, but still awesome), they let us drive the vehicle alone, encouraged us to take the vehicle with us to get our down payment at home while the financing was going through, and the finance person was awesome as well. In these days and times we didnt try to haggle, but we feel we got a great deal on a beautiful car. The Mrs loves it, and we enjoyed the experience. Ive tried calling their finance department 3 times over the past 2 weeks to inquire about buying a warranty, and cannot get a callback. On top of that, the salesperson was so busy after the credit application was taken that he never even took the time to come over after we signed everything to thank us, or even send a thank you email. It seems like all this dealership cares about is taking your money.

2021-02-23After finding two cars in their online inventory that I was interested in, I was able to setup an appointment to test drive both cars the day of. Bryant was very informative and went above what I’ve experienced in the past by showing me under the hood and telling me about features that set the vehicles apart. The dealership worked with me on my budget and the process moved pretty quickly, especially considering how much paperwork is involved in purchasing a vehicle. Jeremy was our finance specialist, and not only was he very personable and easy to talk to, he was very good at explaining the options when it came to warranty and coverage. I never felt like he was trying to upsell me on anything and I walked away very happy with how things turned out. I would highly recommend purchasing a car through these guys.

2022-03-22You couldve pay me to buy a vehicle from these people. They are so rude. I bought my car from Ricart, thankfully, however I decided to take my car into Dennis for oil service and these people have zero customer service skills. The sales department is no better. Not one person greets you when you enter the building, and not a single person asked if I needed help. I plan on trading vehicle but I will definitely not be doing that at Dennis.

2022-04-14I just got my fifth car from Dennis Hyundai East. The salesman, Chad Parke, is what the 5 stars represents. Chad is the best salesman I have ever met; he texted and emailed me options/information, listened to what I said I needed, worked with me on several car choices, was detailed in explanations. Chad is as nice a guy as you can meet. And YES, he is trustworthy and honest. -- the financing agent, Khalin Moore, was also thorough, soft spoken, zero pressure...almost made giving him a down payment easy...almost. :)
