This is a decent deal for the price. The room was in good shape. The staff was very pleasant. The indoor pool was closed with a broken heater, the breakfast was just fruit and coffee, and the rooms didnt have a microwave. Those are about my biggest gripes and the pool thing was kind if out of their control. If youre looking for a good, no-frills place to stay, this is your place.
The hotel was fine. Checking in and out was fast and efficient. Breakfast is included on weekdays, but $9 per person on weekends; it was fine. Hallways and elevators could use a bit of sprucing up, but they were fine, too. Bed was not comfortable, which is the primary reason for the rating. However, we got a great rate, so overall, our stay was fine.
I stayed here the end of June and it was horrible. Key cards didn’t work-every time we returned to the hotel, we had to get new keys and they never worked. We were at the convention center for a large convention and one night as we were trying to get in so a member of our party could get her insulin on our way to dinner took 45 minutes to get in the room as key after key wouldn’t work. We only had a short amount of time for dinner and this really messed up our time for dinner and the convention that night. Maintenance man asked us what we expected as the doors were 30 years old. WiFi didn’t work, phone in room didn’t work, only one light in room worked, halls were dark and dirty and garbage bags full of trash in hallways outside of rooms-we were told people were living in the hotel. From the outside, you could see blankets were hung up at some windows instead of curtains. We were told the pool and restaurant were under renovation but there would be donuts and coffee-there wasn’t. The website says the pool and restaurant are under repair, however, I saw nothing being repaired-just a property that was dirty and looked like there hadn’t been repairs in years. The pictures on the website are very misleading. The ice machines were broken the entire stay. We were originally put in a room on the third floor but the elevators were out and knee issues prevented using the steps, told the front desk this and was then given a room where we had to walk a good distance to a room at the back of the hotel. The room wasn’t cleaned after the first night and asked for more towels-only got 2 even though we had 4 in the room. We were told if we got more, the room wouldn’t be cleaned the next day. The next day-one bed was made, still had to go get towels and toilet paper as they weren’t replenished. When I booked the room in August 2018-the price given was 392. I contacted the hotel a couple of months before my stay to get AAA put on my account as I just signed up for it and was told it would be 190 for three nights. However, at time of stay, I was told AAA couldn’t be used when they are under renovation. Yet, friends in another room were allowed to use AAA discount. After calling and talking to several people-I was finally given the discount. An African American woman-that was the manager-I should have gotten her name-was very rude on the phone and at the hotel. While I believe I should pay for the services -we definitely should have a refund of part of the money paid due to the conditions and services that were stated but not received. We have 400 people returning to the area for a convention again next June /we had many that stayed there this year-but you will be missing out on any business from them as everyone has been made aware of the condition of this property. I understand the property is going to be renovated but that is no reason for rooms in use not to be clean, basic necessities such as an ice machine that works, and friendly staff.
This hotel had an unclean feeling as I entered the lobby. The front desk staff were friendly. However, as I walked to the room the feeling of uncleanliness continued now adding a bunch of outdated furniture. When I entered my room I observed dirty carpet, visible dust and dirt on the walls and curtains. The bathroom was small and congested. The Splash area was not well ventilated. It looked like a host for bacteria. I witnessed the bartender commit an unsanitary act while making a drink. Im clearly not pleased with my stay. Stay at your own risk!!!
I had my wedding here in march of 2020.for any bride looking at this venue to get married & to have the day of the there dreams.. just DONT DO IT save your money! this place was absolutely terrible. staff was so rude, the “cordinator” was rude, unprofessional, did not do her job was gone on her phone my whole wedding night so we had absolutely no clue what we were doing. our food actually had MOLD on it. that ALL my guest was eating. the food did not look or taste how it does at your tasting i couldn’t even eat it. no outlets worked in the bridal suite, our key to our room wouldn’t work, or the key to my husbands door wouldn’t workSave yourself the headache & don’t book your wedding here 💓
First of all, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Went to a wedding there and the staff went out of their way to make sure the guests were happy. With that said, the building itself needs some updating. It was raining when we went there. My friends room windows were leaking, bad. They need to fix the room key problem, this is a major inconvenience and a PITA. Once again the staff did what they could for us but the room keys didnt work for any of us. The key problem was blamed on our cell phones being near the key card itself, this simply is not true. I know this because i did not have my phone on me and i still could not get in my room. The place was clean and well kept, it just needs some updating. I remember this hotel as being one of the nicest in its day.
Room did not have a microwave or refrigerator nor was it all that clean. The hallways were dimly lit, very long, and narrow. It kind of had the Overlook hotel feel about it (the hotel where the Shining took place). We happened the get a cheaper rate than they usually charge so that was cool.
This is a nicer hotel to stay at while youre traveling between other places. The staff is friendly, but because if the hotel trying to keep costs down they have very minimal staffing. One other thing you should be aware of is that if you prepay the reservation you still have to put down a $75 deposit with a card, or $200 cash. That can come as a shock to somebody on a tight budget. The sheet of hotel policies is also rather unusual at check in as well as all the signs in the hotel. I was also unimpressed with the breakfast. They had hot trays out, and labeled but they were empty. They had bagels, cereal, and pound cake. Not terrible, but not what I was expecting.
Hotel staff were nice. Room was up to par, but not extraordinary. Noise isolation was pretty poor. Our neighboring room was playing tv and music, which could be heard pretty clearly. External highway noise was also pretty audible. In addition, the free breakfast was pretty poor. Their cook was sick, and they had no backup, so no hot breakfast. It wasnt the worst hotel Ive stayed in, but far from the best.
I am a firm believer that any good review this hotel has is from their own employees. This place is not even worth one star. There was blood on the bathroom door, stains & sticky stuff on the floors, the toilet was chipped and stained. You could hear the neighbors breathing next door. Takes over 5 days to get your deposit back. All in all just a very disgusting experience.I didnt notice bed bugs... So theres that.I recommend going to any other hotel in the area and paying a couple bucks more.
Walked in to get an available king room and with AAA it was only $53+tax. Absolutely cannot beat that price for what you get. We enjoyed use of the pools (I did have to request more towels but housekeeping was prompt in bringing them), fitness room (not much to it and I couldnt get the TV working, but equipment was fine,) and the hot breakfast was great. Staff was very nice and helpful, rooms and linens were fresh and clean, only 1 of 3 elevators were functioning so being on the 10th floor we sometimes had to wait a couple minutes, but not bad. Overall, Id be happy to stay here again!
DONT WASTE YOU MONEY HERE!!!!!!! This is probably the grossest and unprofessional hotel I have ever stayed at. It took our group over 30 minutes to get our keys even though we had a reservation and have had it for months. One of our group members left because after an hour they still couldnt get into their room 3 separate keys later. The overall smell of the hotel is gross and musty, there was mold growing in our shower and visible grime. The beds were so uncomfortable we might as well have been sleeping on the floor. To top it all off when we went to check out this morning at 630 am the receptionist was ASLEEP! I had to raise my voice just to even rouse her. We will certainly not be staying at this location again, we will continue giving our money to Live Inn across the street. Cheaper prices, clean rooms, and wonderful staff over there.
Not that great, but not bad. Not really worth your time or money, but there are no bed bugs! The rooms were a bit cozy and they have free wifi. Though the signs said no smoking, the immediate second we came into the room, we smelled cigarette smoke! It didnt help that cleaning services werent that great (ahem, mattresses), and aside from pool and fitness room access, you had to pay for everything. The staff didnt seem very friendly, and have proven themselves to be quite hostile. Their policy isnt the best. Other than that, its just another average hotel that claims to have it all.
Not worth the price. Only positive was my room was decently clean. Staff were rude. We didnt have a remote for our TV, and the front desk said Ill ask housekeeping, but if they dont come and are too busy, youll have to come get it. The free advertised breakfast was $8.95 per person on weekends. Had to pay a $75 deposit after I paid for my reservation, which was stated no where and definitely not typical practice in hotels, as far as Im concerned. Didnt feel safe in the area. Not worth the price they charge. Try to come across as a 3+ star hotel, definitely is not. Will not come back.
The day-shift manager was wonderful. The staff was very polite. The room was clean. The whole hotel was very laid back. I enjoyed my stay. And for the ridiculously low price-- the place is awesome. If I hadnt had to come down off the ninth floor and go outside to smoke, I would have give the place 5 stars, lol.
Our stay was booked 6/14 - 6/17, when we arrived around 11pm our initial room (503) was a sauna, apparently a control device was ripped out of the wall by a previous occupant. We brought it to the attention of the night desk clerk who ended up moving us to the room next door (504) and we were really grateful for that because man was it steaming hot in the old room!Breakfast was served 0730 - 0930 and they give you cards to get into the breakfast room during check in however, we didnt make use of it because we were too tired to get up that early during our stay. The indoor and outdoor pools were both well maintained, I think the indoor pool was/is only heated in the late afternoon until the pool closed at 10pm but it was neat and the kids loved that it was warner than the outdoor pool.In regards to both rooms:Rooms were clean.Bed sheets were fresh. No lingering odors. No mismatched furniture as others reviews have suggested.Nice big bathroom and tub!The beds were comfortable (full size). And the A.C. in the second room was a perfect end to our hot sweaty days out and about. Its not that big of a deal but I should mention that while the first room did have a mini fridge the second one did not.Overall our stay was a very good one. This place was centrally located to all of the activities we had planned out and if you need quick snacks there is a Thorntons around the corner open 24 hours!
I travel frequently both for fun and for work. I have never had a staff that was so immediately hostile. They “forgot” about things they agreed to for this convention, were extremely rude and accusatory towards guests. They seemed to have zero experience running a restaurant or bar. We saw a mouse run across the breakfast room. Security doors didn’t even have a locking mechanism for the supposed ‘key card only’ entry. Rooms had numerous issues. And if anyone complained, the management was not only unhelpful, but would make snarky comments to them later. Last, but not least, the first floor of the wing is pretty much condemned and some staff seem to live in that hideous space. STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE.
Our family recently stayed at this hotel on July 4th through July 7th. We had booked six rooms. While we stayed at this hotel we were treated horribly the service was terrible. We have repeatedly been trying to reach the hotel since we have left the hotel and have gotten no response. I also just checked my credit card bill and was overcharged for our stay which is outrageous considering the conditions we we had to live in with the false advertising online not showing the horrid reality of this hotel. In one of the rooms we booked the toilet overflowed and in that same room the air conditioner was broken leaving the guest in immense heat. Another room reeked of tobacco leaving those guests with migraines after staying in that room for sometime making that room a hazard for some people. In another room the tenants could not sleep because of the noises that the shower in the room next door made also the sink was clogged making it difficult to perform everyday tasks which is crazy considering that the purpose for a hotel is to be able to live comfortably. The children staying in these rooms also did not feel safe because the the very dimly lit hallways and when returning to our rooms numerous times and finding the doors open when our party had made sure to close them securely. Also the hallways had no air conditioning and the walk to our room unacceptable for the members of our party that had a difficult time walking long distances the room keys also did not work and took many tries to just get our room doors open. Also one in one of the rooms there was a huge blood stain on the ground and later we found a bloody towel stuffed in the hairdryer bag. This was absolutely disgusting I can’t believe they are running this kind of business. When speaking with the hotel we were told that we would be charged $40 per night but in reality we were charged $89 per night. Considering these factors we believe we deserve a full refund for the hardships we had to endure during our stay.
Our room was very clean when we entered. Finding our way to the elevator was a bit tricky but we made it. Had a nice view at night, the bed was really comfy, plenty of towels, and it was nearly soundproof. We couldnt hear the neighbors or nearby elevators or the hallway. We had a corner room, which was even better. I woukd definitely stay there again.
My room was nice. Hotel staff, also nice. Didnt like that the ice machines were out of service on several floors; the indoor pool was only, ok (outdoor pool was also out of service). Passes to the water park should have been complementary. Water park is very dark. No sun in the whole park.
Pleasant experience. Breakfast was good and free. Close to shopping and restaurants. If Im being picky, the carpets could have used a good scrubbing and I wasnt crazy about the $75 incidental hold placed on my credit card. But we needed an affordable, clean, safe place to stay the night and this fit the bill. We would probably stay here again.
I give this place one star just because it was built and somebody had to build it so kudos for that. other than that our room was stuffy and had an old smell to it. The phone in our room had buttons missing. We couldnt even call out to the front desk or anywhere else for that matter. We had to pay a 75 dollar deposit. And there was a wedding during our stay and when we went out for the day and returned to the hotel we couldnt go to our room because there was only one way to get to our room and the staff told us we (me, my 7 year old daughter and my boyfriend) had to turn around and walk back to the lobby and wait 15 minutes until the wedding party did whatever they had to do. None of the vending machines worked nor did the ice machines. My boyfriend had to go to the hotel kitchen to get ice for us. The parking lot was under construction making parking that much harder to park. Our cards were very hard to use. We had to insert and reinsert them each time we entered back into our room. There were so many problems that we will make sure that this hotel is never an option when we stay in Cincinnati. After all, who wants to drive 6 hours from tn to have that be a welcoming mat for them?
Rooms are nice. Bathroom tub huge. Staff not American a very unfriendly. Charge for everything even if you where told breakfast was free weekdays.Never makes eye contact when talking to you.Big area hallways. Needs update on looks from walls , carpet, pictures, and Nets flying around because of pool area.
The plaza is a newer high rise hotel that was attached to an older 2 story hotel. Its lower lobby level is a bit of a maze, but labeled pretty well. The rooms are clean but the bathroom door and toilet were weirdly positioned so you had to close it if you wanted to use the toilet. The light switches were motion sensor night lights in the off position, which was nice for making my way to the toilet at night. The staff were incredibly polite and responsive. The hotel has a deposit hold out on your credit card on top of the room charge, Im not sure if this is ab Ohio thing or something they have adopted as a policy to protect against problems. This hotel is right across the street from the convention center, which is attached to a Hyatt. The hotel has a water slide, but I guess its only open on the weekends? Not that I needed a water slide.
Horrible hotel. Rooms smell like mold, beds are hard, bathtub is dirty and the key cards do not work. The closet smelled of mold so badly that anything that we hung up in the closet captured the odour.Guests were in the lobby talking to each other about how they could not get into their rooms for 5 minutes or longer because the key cards were not working. Everyone kept telling the front desk about it and they kept saying that you cannot put the key card by your phone. We had at least eight cards between our family and none of them consistently worked... It was not near our phone. We were there for a basketball tournament so they hiked up the nightly rate. The hotel is a two-star at best and it is very disappointing to know that we paid as much money as we did to stay there. The only bonus was the waterpark passes that they gave us for the kids. They should be ashamed of themselves for charging such rates whether there is an event or not.... Do not do it, book somewhere else.
Save your money! Dirty, run down rooms, pool was filthy and had to change rooms because doors would not even lock to the outside. I had NO hot water and had to take showers in brothers room next door. We rented 3 rooms and they were all this bad. Only reply I got back from desk person when I said we had NO hot water was What room? No apology or anything to make this right. As a family we spent almost 1000 here for 1 night! I emailed corporate and as of now, have heard nothing but crickets back!! What a disappointment! I would give 0 stars if I could!
This was one of the worst hotel stays.. the room was not clean floor very dirty, we had a baby frog in our room. The neighbors were fighting very loud out in the hallway,it looked very suspect came home from an event and the hotel front desk person was asleep on the sofa. He had no ideal we were even in the lobby. The bathroom tub was dirty not a good experience for me at all. Wont be back and will ever and will not recommend this to anybody.
When you walk in not all of the check in people know their jobs. The halls do not feel air conditioned. The elevators are not near the front of the building but at the far end of the building. You cannot bring food to the pool area, which they police. The hot tub and the lazy river were both shut down upon our arrival but did reopen an hour or two later. We and our companions decided to have pizza in a common area with chairs, a couch and two small tables. An employee approached us and demanded to have a room and name. He threw a trash bag on a table and said we needed to clean up and replace the furniture to their original places. We were not loud nor making a mess. The employee stated if we left the area a mess the room would be charged. He also stated he could break us up if he wanted to. After we cleaned up, which we was already doing, he refused to take the trash bag he so gallantly gave us. He then wanted to argue about how rude he was. The entire experience left me feeling with more Dont than Do. The bright spot was the lifeguard on the adult water slides. He was the only person to make us feel wanted.
Considering this is not a high end hotel, they did a great job with our event. For the price, they were very nice and accommodating, even upgrading our space, when the larger space was not being used as our event neared. Our price was very reasonable and when we ran into a few minor issues, the owner took care of it right away. Our event manager/bartender did a wonderful job too.I dont think you can beat if for the price. Thanks!
The room was booked over 6 months ago and I find out over social media from other people they cancelled a majority of reservations due to new renovations and didnt even bother to contact or email,, and my stay was next week, wow how could a whole floor be shut down all of a sudden, I hope for the remaining guests it isnt a bedbug infestation.Something is up and much more than bad customer service.. be careful
Everything was fine until house keeping tried three times to enter the room. We asked for late checkout the day we checked in, but housekeeping clearly did not get the memo. Once I opened the door, stated I had a late check out and asked how I could help her , she wasnt even apologetic for her error. All housekeeping staff should have an updated list of regular and late checkouts. The manager was very polite and spoke of addressing my concerns.
The hotel is currently under renovation as of October 7th, 2019. My boyfriend and I are from Akron,OH and booked here a month in advance only to find the actual place was nothing like the pictures provided. The first room we arrived in the bed was improperly made, the drapes were filthy, the furniture was damaged, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was extremely loud and there was a hole in the wall beside the air condition. We went down to the desk to be placed in another room the clerk was very nasty telling us we couldn’t get a refund when all I politely asked was to be placed in a room that was at least clean. At the second room I went upstairs the door was open but the room was clean when leaving I found the door handle was broken which was the reason that the door was not closed. Maintenance fixed this problem and then the keys for the door did not work. I was very displeased and did not even stay the night however still had to pay for the night.
We stayed in the East wing. The entrance is filthy. Smells awful and its like every vacuum in the world is broken. Elevator smelled so bad we took the stairs to the 3rd floor. They were also filthy. Rooms were pretty clean. The coffeepot had the last coffee packet still in it, so I didnt use it since its probably never cleaned. Water pressure was abysmal. Lipstick (we hope) stains on bedding. Clean enough for me to stay one night, but Id definitely never go back.
My family and I had an amazing time at the Splash water park and the hotel! The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very spacious. My ONLY complaint was about the refrigerator in our room. It didnt work, and we had to call (from our cell phone cause the room phone didnt work either) 4 times before we finally got someone to come fix it. Besides that, we had an amazing time! The food at The Grille was GREAT! We will definitely be returning!
The location was close and convenient. The room was large enough for the baby shower I attended with 250 people. However, there were only two employees in the kitchen to prepare lunch for all of the guests so about ten baby shower guests had to help cook and prepare the food for a few hours or it wouldnt have been served for hours so thats the one complaint I have. I feel that there should have been more employees/chefs around to help cook and serve 250 guests and believe it was a little ridiculous that guests had to help with this.
It wasnt the nastiest room Ive stayed in but it is in my top 3. There were stains and something on the wall I didnt look to close at. The sink was falling in. Also, EVERYTHING in this hotel is uncomfortable. The beds, the shower, the soft chairs, even the event chairs were the worst Ive ever sat in. They also dont have a pool and you have to pay to eat breakfast.I would only stay in this hotel if I had to. I would not recommend it to anyone.all around a bad hotel.
This hotel is in a great area. It is currently undergoing renovation and rebranding, which makes for a no frills experience. The lobby is absolutely GORGEOUS and the front desk staff was super helpful. The agent who checked us in, went above and beyond for us, as we had some trouble accessing the outside back door to get to our room. The room was decent. It was clean, but obviously is ready for the renovation to reach it. Specifically, the bathtub. It was a little creepy due to the flaky tub glaze, slow drainage, uncapped shower grab bars & old shower head. The bed pillows were fluffy and the mattresses were firm. Both pools & the fitness center are out of order.Overall, good for an inexpensive rest up after a day at Kings Island. Other than that, wait for the renovation and rebranding to finish in summer 2020
I reserved a room with two double beds along with a two day pass for the water park. The experience at the water park was amazing. This is my kids first family vacation and they had a blast. We had some issues when we got back to our room, the AC was not working and it became extremely hot in our room. I called front desk and nobody answered, so I walked down to the front desk and then understood why they did not answer because they had a long line. I waited patiently and finally it was my turn. I talked to Jo Marie and she was very friendly and gave excellent customer service. I am a sales manager in customer service and I was very impressed with how she handled my situation. She took care of everything for my family. We need more people like her. Having great customer service is the key for running a business. The prices are great for a Ramada plus you get passes to the water park. I only paid $138 for a one night stay which included a two day pass to the water park. I had great customer service from everybody here at this establishment including at the water park, but Jo Marie is the reason we will come back.
This 3 star rated facility doesnt deserve a rating. After seeing two rooms I would never stay much less touch the bed. Room number 1 smelled of urine and the sheets were off the bed, room two (a much better room, per desk) the carpet was coming off the floor the furniture was filthy, the wall paper peeling. No surprise the lights leave the room barely lit. Too much dirt to hide, should be an embarrassment to the hotel industry. When or where the website pics came from is a total guess but I can assure you it is not from the same place I walked/ran out of last night, feeling itchy and gross. No one should stay
What a dump. Dont book a conference here - ever.Check in took 30 mins, room keys didnt work for most of us, had to return to the desk 3 times, evaluators are really slow and its next to a water park - covered in kids and the floors are often wet.The rooms and carpets are gross! Absolutely disgusting. Avoid this place at all costs.Also. I just checked on my room - it wasnt cleaned and its 3pm. I called down to ask about getting it cleaned. on my way down to the conference - I shared the elevator with the employees of the hotel who complained about having to clean a room with a do not disturb sign on it. That sign wasnt on the door since 8:30am. Didnt appreciate them bad mouthing me - I realize they didnt know they were sharing a ride with me.
There were a select few members of the staff that were kind and courteous but for the most part they were all very rude. Yelling at the convention goers, pushing them out of the way and constantly changing the rules. The rooms were old outdated with chipped and broken Furniture, scratches on the wall, wallpaper falling down and the bathrooms had random things left in their sinks. Not to mention the water pressure being terrible. The most frustrating thing of all there was a financial aspect where we were not told that we were going to need to put down $75 for a rooms prior to the convention and that it was going to be tacked onto the charges of the room afterwards and eventually refunded. On top of that a lot of people had extra charges for things that they could not determine what they were and when the staff was called to ask about it they were quite rude about helping. Some con goers even have mysterious charges show up on their credit cards leading them to suspect that someone at the hotel stole their information. This hotel is not part of a chain but is run independently by a family who does not care about the clientele at all. Like the others below I would give the 0 Stars. I was very optimistic about coming back to this place but instead would rather stay as far away from it as physically possible.
The person working the front desk was very rude. I was told there were no available rooms. Upon walking through the hotel. To visit another friend who has a room there, which is where I got the recommendation to stay at Ramada. I noticed easily two to three handfuls. Of in my personal opinion what appeared, to look like vacant rooms. Which in return made me feel a certain type of way, but thats besides the point. I would not recommend this place to anyone. To think I was going to book a room for a month and buy water park passes for three weekends in a row for me and my son my moneys already been spent elsewhere.
I will never ever stay here again. No one spoke English at the desk or it was very broken English. No pool, no breakfast and there was blood on my comforter. The place was creepy and I DIDNT feel safe in there. There was a sign for no firearms but I didnt feel safe not bringing my gun with me. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!!!! Stay at any other hotel around the area just not this one.
This was our first time here The staff was very helpful. Our room keys didnt want to work had to go down twice so far. They said breakfast but not on weekends. The pool was nice but cold, but full of kids. No Microwave in rooms. Had to take coffee pot into the room because the plug in the bathroom didnt work. Only had two towels for three people. No extra blankets nor pillows. Wont be returning.
(Part 1)I am beyond disappointed with my experience at this hotel. All of the amenities that I paid for I was robbed of. Before I even checked in it was apparent that they were severely understaffed. They immediately requested a 200 dollar CASH deposit or seventy-five dollar hold on a card , which I had already given a card over the phone. I promptly asked if I could change the card and their expression when I paid upfront was shock, which I almost was offended, but was determined to have a good weekend with my friends. We were directed to the elevators which we found only 2 of the three were working , but it was fairly quick to get to our floor we picked , which was the 14th (BIG MISTAKE) . Once we got to our room we thought it was fairly nice room until I walked into the bathroom .the shower rod was a normal hotel curved style shower curtain , but it was sagging to the point I could push it and it was scrapping the tile . I immediately called the front desk let them know this issue as I wanted them to be aware it, the hotel staff that came to help seemed completely unaware of the issue nor able to fix it as the only offered to change rooms. Which should have been a huge sign of what was to come. They advertised having a spa and waterpark available, no such spa services were available , I had to call to request maid service, not even room service , nor cable was found in the rooms. My stay was only two nights and after all the frustration of not receiving the best customer service we wanted to enjoy our first evening .This was not the case as at 2:15 am we were woken up by a fire alarm and had to walk down the stairs for 14 flights of stairs. This would have been fine as I’m happy that systems for safety are in place at this hotel until after this 45 min endeavor and almost mile walk around the hotel was merely for someone taking a hot shower and the steam setting off the fire alarm .My friends and I tried to brush off the evening event with the promise of a complimentary breakfast on our weekend getaway, so me and my friends set our alarms after being woken up at 2:15 am and having to wait outside until 2:50am, for a 7-10 am breakfast. After getting up and coming downstairs the breakfast had an odd sign stating “get tickets from front desk” which I thought was pretty low brow for a business hotel. My friends walked ahead of me as I had been already upset from all the previous issues, to find that apparently “Monday through Friday breakfast is complimentary, but weekends it’s 8.95 per person for the breakfast “ . That was never told to me, nor was I informed of, as I called before my stay and asked about the breakfast option, as well as when checking in.I was highly annoyed and went to a local diner instead of wasting anymore money at this run down establishment
Awful. We boked this room through Groupon. Thats why we though it was a great price. The pictures on Groupon were nice and clean. Upon check-in the front deck said she couldnt check us in because of computer not working correctly. She then handed us to room keys and we walk 10 minutes to the room. We walked in and it was absolutely filthy. Dirt everywhere. Mold in the showers. and old garbage underneath the dresser.we immediately walk down to the front desk and told them we could not stay here with our children. They said that was fine. That we had to get a refund through Groupon. However Groupon said we had to get a refund through the hotel. To this day nothing has been paid from either one. From June.
Really enjoyed the family atmospheres and the really friendly staff. The water park is great for little kids. The life guards have multiple tests with fake babys being thrown in the water, with makes the lifeguards stay on their toes. The bar is a great place to socialize and has a great happy hour with any $2 bottle of beer, including OTR and Sam Adams. The rooms were extremely clean, the only surprise is they had no telephone in the room. Finally, the new years party sounds like a great family event. I will update if we end up attending.
We had a king room on the second floor for 2 nights. Breakfast was great; biscuits and gravy, potatoes, sausage, eggs, fruit, bagels, yogurt, and cereal. The room was great. We had tickets to the attached water park. The park does not provide towels but you can bring your room towels. The only complaint was that the water park closed am hour early on Saturday night without warning. Nice price for what you get.
I attended a wedding and reception here, while the facility is under renovation. Staff is friendly and works hard to provide good service. But, the facility desperately needs work. No paper towels in the mens room, soap dispenser didnt work, ATM didnt work, bar selection was worse than a gas station convenience store.
Checked out about 2 hours ago, staff was nice and polite but the hot tub in the water park was colder than the actual pool itself, so paying extra was a waste! The rooms weren’t clean properly, rust and mildew on the shower knob, pulled the nightstand from the wall and there were still dust, crumbles, someone earring, no microwave in rooms and last but not least you have to pay for breakfast it’s not included in your stay, didn’t know that until we walked down this morning. False advertisement!
Clean room and facilites. Although our room was clean, it definitely needed some maintenance. Our main door was likely swolen, it had to either be kicked open or you had to put your shoulder into it to open. The bathroom door didnt lock. The shower curtain wasnt wide enough to keep the water inside of the shower so I went through quite a lot of towels cleaning the floor after everyones showers. The beds were clean but didnt sleep incredibly well, I could feel the spring in my hips. (Side sleeper) I brought my own pillow so I cant comment on how they slept. There is a desk in the room which was nice. Internet service was strong and allowed me to work from the room. The indoor pool was a good size for older children but there wasnt a very shallow end for the little ones or a very deep end for the adults. We had to request towels in the pool area a few times. The outdoor pool had the cover on *was notified of the outdoor pools status prior to booking*.The business center was well equiped with a few computer stations and a printer. Although small, the large glass windows helped to make it feel larger while still providing a sound barrier from passers by.The workout facilities were clean and had nice equipment. However, it was definitely on the small side. The staff were more than accommodating for anything we needed. Our car broke down when we were there and they were unable to provide jumper cables, I would think this should be something they should add to their stock as a customer service feature. The free breakfast buffet is only free during the week. A little misleading based on how its advertised. It left something to be desired and should definitely have bacon added to it.

Not a very good experience with my stay at this hotel. Before I left the room to check out, the cleaning staff went in and started stripping the beds, and found dirty socks in the bed that I didnt use. The bed was made over dirty socks! And now I wait for the return of my $75 (times 2) that didnt even show up on my bill. And I had two rooms. But lets start from the beginning. The front desk employees were great and checked us right in... and then the problems started. The door keys didnt work. And the second set didnt work. Seems you have to use magic to get in the room. The carpet was dirty and old but the bath was ok. Then the problems with the elevators and the restaurants very limited menu and terribly slow service, along with poor service at the bar. I wont even discuss breakfast.
Where do I start about this hotel, well the staff was rude to me in my group! My business partners key did not work in the door and the lady was very rude to him when he addressed The problem. They had to go down to the lobby twice for new keys and never made it to the room. The lady at the front desk didnt care that the key didnt work. When we walked in the hotel its smelled like mildew and pot smoke and was just plain out disgusting. When we get up to the room there was hair on the counter then we looked in the shower and the bathmat was pulling up with mildew underneath of it. At the time of check-in we were so exhausted we decided to stay and tough it out. In the morning when we were checking out at 6:30 AM the lady behind the desk was asleep...how was this Acceptable in any way! If she was that tired she shouldve got a room oh wait she mightve been complaining how disgusting the rooms are. If you were traveling in the Cincinnati area or headed to the Sharonville convention center my recommendation is to go to the Hyatt or any other hotel on Chester
This was the very first time visiting the Cincinnati area and staying overnight. We were very pleased with the room and water park! Some of the reviews were very worrisome but we decided to try it out and see for ourselves! The room was very nice everything worked the check in and out staff were very sweet and it didn’t take us long at all to get a key and get to our room. They give you twenty mins to check everything out and they will move you if there is a problem. The water park was amazing and very clean with lifeguards on duty we felt very safe and it was very clean our two year old loved it. The only thing that I would say would be the carpet that was in the room was outdated but you have to remember it’s attached to a water park and they have an indoor pool as well so everyone comes in to their rooms wet so the carpets are going to take a beating for sure! Worth the money we will be back for sure!
This place is an “okay” hotel. The rooms are clean, the bed is a little on the harder side but I like harder beds, so it wasn’t a problem for me. The staff is polite. The problems I’ve experienced is that this hotel is a very loud one. You can literally hear everything on the next room, and I was lucky enough to have a person next door listening to music until around midnight. We basically chose this hotel because of the free breakfast, but when we got there to have it we were told they wouldn’t have breakfast that day because the lady who cooked it was sick. Weird for me to think that a hotel as big as this one only has one person to cook breakfast.
I see a lot of bad reviews and Im not sure why? From the moment we checked in to the time we checked out our stay was nothing but Excellent. I was well aware of the $75 hold on the card when we booked through wyndham rewards. The staff was very friendly. Our hotel (on the 5th floor) was very clean with no bed bugs, and we had an amazing view of the town. The breakfast was very delicious with nice hot food. The outdoor pool was closed for repairs but the indoor pool was open and very nice. My only regret was not being able to stay longer.
This hotel was extremely disappoi ting. We went to the water park first and went over to the hotel to check in around 430 pm. Check in time is 3PM.We then were told our rooms werent available and they were figuring it out?! The rooms were rented weeks in advance. We then wait 1.5 hrs for our rooms to be cleaned. Now upon arrival in the rooms...even more disappointing, the bathroom door wouldnt close. The toilet was running non stop. There were numerous large bugs we had to kill...the beds felt like there was dirt or sand where our feet were while sleeping. One bed only had 2 sheets no comforter. The mouthwash was open and used when I went to use it this morning. The chair was missing the footrest..bodily fluids on the decorative covering the bed. The shower was moldy. I have never had such a terrible time with a hotel room in my life. The fact that the staff just really did not care is upsetting and unsettling. We were not rude at all when bringing these things to their attention. We spent a lot of money there this weekend between the water park (which was okay.. but the womens bathrooms were absolutely disgusting, bloody items everywhere on the floor. Disgusting... and over heard a woman telling the staff and they told her they didnt care they had other things to worry about. ) Is this how these people want their businesses to be operated? I have never given and bad review or complained but this situation completely blew me away. I have never EVER had an experience this bad in my life.My family and friends will NEVER return to this place and it is very sad because the waterpark could be something wonderful for children and families.
My husband and I are currently staying at the Ramada Plaza for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We booked a king suite weeks ago. When we arrived we were told all of the king rooms were all under construction and the only rooms they had left were rooms with two double beds. We took it as to not ruin our anniversary trip. The smaller beds just mean more closeness! 😉 However the room is dirty, wallpaper is peeling off the walls and the room smells like smoke. The microwave is missing and there is an extremely small mini fridge. The art is also missing from the walls which I guess isn’t an a big deal but I find it weird. The evening we arrived we tried to get ice and drinks from the vending machine both of which did not work. Tried to call the front desk from the phone in our room which also did not work. Both pools (indoor) are closed also. Beds are very hard and not very comfortable. Overall horrible experience. Will not be staying here again. Glad we are just in the room to sleep...
Well, I dont like giving bad reviews but I feel this is a chance to maybe help them and for warn people about hotel accommodations. Its a long walk to even get to elevators, there are no vending machines on floors, wall paper in rooms is falling apart..There are no side entrances. The one positive is the manager greeted us with a warm welcome..
The room was dirty. It smelled musty, the carpet was dirty, and there was something on the wall beside the bed that looked like dried blood. The staff was very polite and courteous we could not have ask for better staff. If the room had been as nice as the staff, our stay would have been perfect.
For a hotel its not the worst, but having a clean room isnt the only thing that makes a hotel. This is a chain we use frequently and enjoy, but this specific one is at the bottom of the chain. Its run down, if its a weekend you have to pay for the breakfast, and the online calendar for the splash park is wrong. Every other Ramada had always had a free hot breakfast every day. This one did not tell you until you went to go get breakfast. Had the cost been only a few dollars we would have went ahead and paid, but it was $9. So we didnt even bother going to the hotels restaurant like wed planned, if just the breakfast was so much. The online calendar showed that the splash park was going to be open, however it turns out the calendar is wrong and would not be open until December for maintenance.
My room was cancelled within 12days of my reservation. I was only notified by friends that was attending a local event with me, and they heard from word of mouth that 75% of their rooms were cancelled. I was NOT called by the hotel staff and when I called less than a month ago to check on rate and bed count, nothing was relayed to me about my room being cancelled. Once I called the staff to ensure that I still had a room, the staff informed me that the hotel was renovating their rooms and wasnt going to be done in time. Personally, WHY GIVE OUT ROOMS THAT ARE NOT EVEN WORKABLE?! Thanks you their unprofessionalism, I might now was my time off and ticket to my event because I have no time to find another room. Thank you for ruining a fully planned and paid for weekend due to their inability to count open rooms.
I attended a meeting in one of the conference rooms. Staff were very polite and helpful. Fast forward four months staff were rude as can be, accosting people for having outside food and drink after their restaurant had closed, hotel room was filled with chipped furniture, poor lighting. Bathroom door hit the toilet when opened, security bar broken on the door, fire alarm in hallway was broken, elavators only worked half the time and someone with access to the credit card used to reserve the room made fraudulent charges with my information. I would leave zero stars if I could. Do not stay here unless you cant help it.
Overall unhappy. The room was fine with the exception of a poorly layout bathroom. Hotel was loud when trying to sleep. While I cant blame the hotel for loud guests it would be nice if the rooms could keep out some of the noise. Room was also facing the interstate so on top of noisy guests had to listen to traffic all night. Finally at breakfast my daughter needed to go back to the room but was not done with her food. They would not let me take the food to our room so it just got thrown out.
Absolutely Terrible experience. The room was outdated and dirty. Upon arrival, we checked in and went to the water park. When we came back to the room, my son went to take a shower and was burned by the scalding hot water. I checked the shower and no cold water would come out, not even luke warm, just scalding hot. I called the front desk around 4pm and let them know what was going on, they said they would send maintenance up. An hour passed and still not maintenance, I called again, they told me again he would be up shortly. I called a total of 4 times, maintenance did not come up until 10:30 at night when my children were in bed. He said that there was an issue with the system and would not be able to repair. The front desk called me at 11pm at night to offer a room change. I said lets just wait until morning as my kids are sleeping. I went to the front desk the next morning to switch rooms, the young woman at the desk didnt look up at me once, just stared at her computer screen and spoke to me as if I have inconvenienced her. Horrible customer service. We got into our new room, same poor condition as previous room. Knicks and scuffs on all the furniture, mismatching as if it came from a garage sale. My daughter used the bathroom and the toiled would not flushed. Called the front desk again, took hours before someone came up to fix. Toilet back up a second time during our stay. My family also had their own rooms with issues that were dirty. The AC did not work in my sisters room, she found a pill on the bathroom floor, which is fantastic as she has a toddler. Big red stains on the carpets, hair in random places, dirty, and mismatched. Totally disappointed in this hotel, will never stay in Ramada again and anyone that asks I will tell the same. Wish I had paid better attention to reviews before booking here.
Theyre in the middle of a renovation, but that wasnt much bother. The rooms look modern, you can control your own air, and the TVs are a nice size. Unfortunately, the mattresses are hard and uncomfortable, our fridge didnt work, and there was no microwave. I definitely recommend this hotel for people who like a firm sleep.
Everyone at the Ramada Plaza is wonderful and so friendly and helpful! The food was delicious and the room was decorated beautifully! I also took my son and his friends to the water park and they had a fantastic time! The water park was very clean and updated. Well definitely be going back.
Theyve been updating the hotel so its getting nicer! The room was clean with newer bathroom, beds, TV, etc. But the clientele that stays at this place (not all, just about half) is a bit trashy. People smoking in the halls, screaming kids, and just general trashy people. Sad as the hotel is getting better. We wont go back due to other guests being too shady.
Room had food in the refrigerator from the previous guest. My 9 month old nephew was crawling and pulled old candy out from under the bed. My niece found someones lip gloss under her pillow. Not to mention the queen size bed is for sure a full size bed and was hard as bricks. The floor was softer. Oh and breakfast was 8.95 per person. I expected more from them personally. However the staff was nice and the waterpark was decent. Kids enjoyed it. The hot tub was cold though. Next time we visit the waterpark we will be staying at another hotel.
Service needs to be improved dramatically. Cleanliness is big issue in this hotel. Maze like corridors, defective phone lines and charging money for stuff which should be complementary. Dont know how do they call themselves as 3 star business hotel. This is absurd. The entry to the hotel is so confusing. Location is good, close to the temple and other attractions.
The room was fine. Everything was pleasant until the morning of check out when on three separate occasions housekeeping tried to enter the room before the check out time- once before 11:00 and twice after 11:00. Regular check-out time is 11:00, but I requested late check out which took me to noon. I spoke with the manager concerning this situation. Housekeeping should have a schedule of regular and late check-outs.
Not sure what everyone is talking about with the staff being unfriendly and rooms being dirty. My room is just fine, and the staff was friendly. I can understand the rooms maybe taking a beating because theres an indoor water park attached and a lot of families with young children probably vacation here, but my room was fine. Especially at $43+tax a night. My only negative is in regards to the restaurant. Highly overpriced for average food, and the vibe was just weird. The club jams were bumping at 8pm on a Wednesday, and I was the only one in there. People staying here for business just want a reasonably priced, casual meal, maybe some sports on the tv. The club vibe was weird and unwanted. I usually stay at the Clarion a few miles from here, and 75% of the reason I stay there is because the restaurant/bar has great prices, good food, and a casual atmosphere.Upon checking out, I have another negative. Breakfast doesnt start until 7:30, and theres not even coffee before then.
Dont stay here! Old and outdated rooms that smell. I couldnt take my shoes off or let my kids walk around without shoes because the floor/carpet was so dirty and had multple stains. We stayed here because of the attached waterpark but not worth staying in this hotel. Only reason we stayed is because they threatened to charge us for a room if we cancelled, and had 2 kids that needed a bed since it was super late when we arrived from our travel. Otherwise i would have left immediately! Not to mention they put in their policy that you only have 20 minutes to complain or change rooms, which Ive never heard of before at any other hotel. There was a group of us and none of our keys worked for the rooms. Hope you like to brush your teeth with hot water, because there was no cold water from our bathroom sink.
A lot of the hotel seemed like it was close to falling apart: broken lights, outlets broken, dirty carpets, untamed landscaping. There was an issue with the key to get into the hotel and had to go back and get it fixed twice which was an inconvenience because we were given a room very far from the front desk. Would definitely suggest looking elsewhere for a place to stay, unless all you care about is a bed to sleep in.
Went for a wedding... there were fruit flies or something flying around. The staff (wedding coordinators) were rude to people asking questions. The wait staff was slow in refills and cleaning up, just sloppy. I spoke to someone who reserved a room for the event and they booked a room across the street because they found fresh bed bugs filled with blood. When they addressed it with the front desk they said they were aware of the issue and was willing to refund and change their room!
We usually only come for the day passes at their attached indoor waterpark. Our young daughters love it and older nieces and nephews also, we stayed in a room for the first time to stay and have a night away with family and the room was pretty big, we accidentally reserved an accessible room and it was larger than the normal room our family was in but it was clean beds were average, toilet had some maintenance issues and shower floor needed clean, but overall it was a good stay and we would probably stay again! All the staff we encountered werr very friendly check in was very busy but they had someone directing people which made the process smooth!
Everything was absolutely ridiculous. Paid $185 plus a $75 deposit for what?! There was no hot water in the hotel bathrooms, we were only provided with 1 cup for a room with three guests, our reservation said there would be a mini-fridge in our room but there wasnt. Customer service was rude and only cared about checking people in but not worried about the service being provided. The indoor waterpark also did not make this trip worth it. It was so crowded. When my guests and I were unable to get in the water due to the amount of people, we were sweating just sitting there in our bathing suits. Will never visit this hotel again.
I read all the reviews... Excellent value, place is older, but clean. Staff very friendly, and the continental breakfast was great, biggest one Ive ever seen... not sure why someone thought it was a breakfast bar? As far as our room: super clean! Planning to come back in the fall with the grandson to water park.
When my boyfriend and I was walked in the hotel the people at the front desks wasn’t friendly when we walked to our room the carpet was black it’s was unclean. When we got in the room the walls was dirty the bathroom had a ant in it . We we was laying in the bed there was a bed bug crawling from the sheets of the bed we went to the front desks and show them the picture of the bed we saw they offer us another room them giving us our money back. Overall I’ll give them a zero
Gross. Rented a suite for the night and it was absolutely filthy. The floors, walls, carpet, and furniture were stained. The bathroom didnt have a door! There was no way we were going to even think about getting in the bed. They did relocated us to a nicer, large suite. The manager was very apologetic and nice.
My family and I recently stayed in the executive suite on the 14th floor. While the suite itself was very spacious, there were several issues. The light over the dining room table didnt work. There were staples sticking out of the bottom of the legs of dining chairs.(One of which my wife cut her toe.) There was no temperature control in the main room. The air vent over the bed rattled loudly every time it kicked on. Waking my wife and I up several times throughout the night. I have stayed at this Ramada before. In smaller, nicer rooms than the executive suite. You would think by paying more, youd get better quality. Had I been staying longer than one night, I definitely would have asked for another room.
This has really gone down in past few years. Wallpaper is patched. My room had stains in the carpet. And for the price of the rooms you would think breakfast would be included but you would be wrong. We had to buy a ticket from the front desk for breakfast. I was there for a conference and staff was not very helpful and consistently changed the rules on the conference organizers even going so far as to harass conference attendees in the hallways. I will not be staying here again under the current management.
I wish there was a way to give negative stars. This was the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Only one functional elevator for 14 floors. All the ice and vending machines were out of order. Carpet in the rooms was filthy. Bathroom vent for the shower steam was broken. Fridge was unplugged so it took a whole day for fridge to get cold again. Outdoor pool was closed, indoor water park was shut down for renovations. Restaurant was shut down cause they don’t have a reliable chef. Digital clock in the room didn’t work, dressers in the room were all scratched up. Tv remote was missing the back panel. Only one small microwave for the entire hotel and it was dirty, and located on the main floor. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! I will never take my family or myself to stay there again.
This hotel is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.Rooms are in bad shape. It looks like the owners attempted to make them more modern looking by hanging new artwork, new lamps, etc but that does nothing for the fact that the bathtub was stained up, the toilet seat had cracks on it, as did the sink. The wallpaper was peeling and yellowed in spots, the furniture was totally beat up and looked horrible. Chair was stained up and dirty as can be. The mini fridge had greasy finger prints all over the front and something had dripped down the front of it that hadnt been wiped off before we got the room. The rooms need a total overhaul, not a couple new lamps and pictures.I thought I could overlook it because we were here for the water park and wouldnt be spending a ton of time in the room. Then my 2 year old got sick in the middle of the night and threw up on the bed. My husband called down to the front desk to ask for new sheets and the man who answered said, and I quote, There is no one here who can bring you new sheets but we can switch your room. Because that makes total sense, to wake our other kid up in the middle of the night, pack all of our stuff up, and go to a different room....total sense. There was never even an apology, like I get it if he was the only one working and couldnt leave the desk to get sheets, whatever. Its horrible if they are that understaffed, but an apology would have at least been nice.We paid $180 after taxes for a double room that came with 4 water park passes. I suppose when you take away the cost of the passes, youre not paying much for the room, less than $100...you get what you pay for in this case.If we ever return for the water park, we will absolutely not be staying at this hotel. The convenience of being attached to the water park is not worth it.
Hotel is disgusting, the ceiling is full of seepage and nasty marks, the carpet was so disgusting you couldn’t tell what color it is, and the windows looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in 15 years. The room also had a smell to it. To be honest, I’ve never been in a hotel more disgusting than this. The structure was great but it looked like it was being maintained by people during a zombie apocalypse. When we got there, our key did not work. We asked for another one, that did not work either. They eventually let us in with a master key. The maintenance guy, however, was supposed to replace the batteries in the lock (this was very very evident) but he never did and when asked if he has he said it was just a programming problem. So then we got yet another key and it STILL did not work. We gave up on this. If we stayed we would’ve had to leave the door open or get them to open it and that was way too much effort and we shouldn’t have to do that. We didn’t spend the night and just left and readjusted our schedule because this wasn’t a minor inconvenience, it was a major one. When we complained to the night shift manager, he just nodded like “Cool I guess?” And didn’t do anything about it. Don’t go here, it’s a huge waste of money.
Easily accessible from the freeway. Nice helpful staff and the front lobby is nice. Now that weve covered the good things lets get into what you really need to hear. After you walk past the main lobby there is a smell that isnt pleasing that continues up the elevator and on to the 9th floor at least. Our room had a musty smell and even with the a/c running the remaining half of the day the room never did cool down. The beds were very hard and it was just an all around unpleasant stay! Pick a better place that is more up to date!
We checked in for a one night stay here. It was a walk to the main hotel from the lobby. Once we got to our king sized room we were able to look it over. For $65 we didnt expect much but it was a beautiful room, a bit small and the mini fridge was really out of place but other than that, it was all good. The service was phenomenal and they were always nice. Quicky check in and quick check out. The breakfast in the morning was different but just as good as you would expect from a hotel. Overall, I would stay there again.
Refrigerator in room was broken. All 4 original room keys failed to work and had to be replaced. Stayed there for a convention, and the hotel bar/restaurant had some issues: Tiny Menu with few options (not even a burger). When I went to the bar to order a drink, I saw and smelled one of the pizzas - it looked good so I asked if I could order one. The employee asked if I would like the one sitting there as it had just come out and he had forgotten whose it was! This frustrated my table mates when I returned to join them, as they had been waiting on their pizza for 20 minutes - I was probably given their pizza! Staff was friendly and helpful - especially front desk - but was let down by these other issues with the hotel.
Well if you dont want to hear the bad, stop reading now.... The water park closes easy to early on the weekends (9p). The hot tub at the water park was colder than the pool water, am issue the whole time. Three staff at the frontDesk were rude and hateful. The room was ridiculously outdated and dirty. The faucet in the tub was falling off. No microwave or coffee pot in the room. The pool had zero not one single towel and had so much chlorine that it actually bleached a ladies bathing suit(THATS A LOT)!! I paid $169 for one night and 4 water park passes and the still wanted me to pay $9 each for breakfast, EVEN THE 8 YEAR OLDS! NOT WORTH THE MONEY! Next time Ill pay the extra $40 and go to Great Wolf Lodge!
Thank you Shaian for all your assistance. We had a wonderful stay at the Ramada. Every employee we had contact with were kind and professional. We will definitely be coming back. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Again, thank you for a wonderful experience.
Should have just booked a room at one of the $65/night places. Room was about as good. $110 was overpriced. Hot water came out of both hot and cold faucets and even the toilet, so you got steam on your butt. Hallway floors were dirty. We were in the east wing which looks to be an older part of the hotel. The pool was packed with loud kids and parents were not adhereing to posted rules. Will not stay here again. Pick a different hotel.
Dirty and the air did not work. Will not be returning again. In need of a serious remodel. The pool was also nasty. The free breakfast only applied to weekdays and was $10 per person on the weekends. The ice machine on my floor was out. Two of the drink machines too my money. They had no diet Cokes to drink. Way to many problems for me.
WARNING TO ALL!!! if you have booked or will looking at this hotel beware its really really bad very poor lighting & dusty/dirty hall way leading to the room, smells bad, my 8 & 9 yrs old daughter got scared walking to the room not for kids for sure. Front desk is very rude for no reason and front desk manager will go on lunch break ( @2pm just disappeared ) after she ask someone to walk with you to the room to look at your concern, who does that? They will not refund your money back even though they have it on their policy that if you dont like the room they give you full refund, really a bad experience! NO STAR@Response from the owner - Are you serious...? refund my money back you money grabber, even though I did not stayed at your hotel you still charge me for one night, check my LASTNAME on the booking and Im sure expidia have contact you guys about it...CONFUSED, yes you people are... give me back my money!!!
I stayed in the King room and the decorations were absolutely beautiful, but most importantly the room was comfortable and immaculate. The hotel provided everything I needed for my nights stay; refrigerator, blow dryer, shower caps, and the best smelling lotion. I enjoyed my stay at the Ramada Plaza!
I just hosted a Google business event there on Wednesday for 70 people and my 2 out of town guests stayed two nights.Jay, helped consult me on the best room for my needs, and thought of things that hadnt crossed my mind before. The set-up was just how I wanted it and Natalie helped me make everything I brought in look pretty without any direction from me, because I was too busy with other things related to the event. It was so nice to count on their competent and pleasant staff! When it was all over, I honestly said to myself there isnt one thing that I would have changed to make it better, and their experience proved very valuable. Guests had a great time!
My family stayed at this hotel on August 10th and 11th. It was honestly the most poorly maintained hotel Ive every stayed in. The security latches in our two rooms were loose and broken. The indoor swimming pool was filthy with clomps of hair and dead insects floating in it. The outdoor pool was closed, in mid-summer. Our breakfast buffet was served on styrofoam plates. The fire safety signs in front of the elevator was missing several letters (see photo). The Splash Park had posted hours from the morning to 9:00pm, but the staff started kicking out the kids at 8:30pm so they could to start cleaning. This is a partial list of issues. Most of the staff were polite.
I would give this place zero stars if possible. First and foremost they tried to use a deposit to try and scam me out of $75 dollars which I was never given a receipt for nor did it show in my bank account as a separate charge from my stay... when I called to confront them about this, all of the charges, even my watered down over priced drink at the bar, magically disappeared, not refunded, but completely vanished like I never even stayed there. Clearly they were trying to hide their actions. So besides credit card fraud, the staff and security were immensely rude, we were there as part of the steampunk convention and had purchased a whole block of rooms and the rooms above for a party... the staff shut us down and said that we were not allowed to have a party in multiple rooms. The restaurant was awful, the rooms sucked, they charge for extra towels for your stay... the elevators threatened to crush you like final destination, most everything was dirty or damaged in some way... DO NOT STAY HERE!!!***since theres no way to reply to the owner***There was nothing when booking the hotel that made mention of this common practice of demandind the money upfront and a $75 addition to the bill, but then again I guess I just dont normally stay in crappy hotels like this one.
The rooms were dirty. Stains on. Lamp shades, carpet looked like it had 10yrs worth of stains. Beds felt like a brick. There wasnt a fan in the bathroom and it all smelt musty. My room key didnt work. I had to have the cleaning crew constantly let me in. I made several trips to the front desk to fix the issue. The package i purchasedate was very misleading. I even called to confirm I was getting what I thought to only be told otherwise at check-in. The main purpose of the stay was for the splash park. It was fun for the kids but it was extremely filthy. My child got to ride the tube slide 1 time due to the fact there were maybe 30 tubes for 2 slides and the lazy river. While waiting in line they shut the slides down...alot. There were piles of old cups from the previous days piled up near the life guards. We were there for 2 days and im pretty sure nothing was cleaned up from the previous day. Very disappointed and wont be returning.
I am telling you, if you have other options to stay, DO IT! This place is so run down! Things like quarter machines, vending machines and candy machines do not work. It looked like it hadnt been vacuumed in a week. They had random space heaters throughout the hotel... Im guessing to keep it warm? Our actual room had not been cleaned properly and the kleenex box was empty. Spend your money else were.
You get what you pay for. We spent very little money to stay here. The mini fridge was in a weird location, Im not sure if it was moved from under the TV for an outlet or what. It sat in the corner by the heating coolinh unit. The place is dated by looking at the rooms and hallways outside the lobby. The key card was difficult to get them to work. There was also no microwave in the room but at vending by the pool there was a microwave to use. Though was a hassle since we were on the 12th floor. Overall was a pleasant stay, dont go in expecting a high end hotel and you will be just fine. It is a place to stay and cheap while only 10-15 minutes away from all the places we went.
Not good. Stayed 3 days. Had an adjoining room with family. Our room smelled of water absorbed in carpet. Refrigerator had a hunk of ice where trays go, replaced it with a noisy one, door to adjoining room handle fell off. When family member returned on Saturday night there was a roach crawling in bathroom. Rooms smelled awful. Was there for grand daughters high school graduation. Met a gentleman on the elevator (5th) floor who was told that he had to walk all the way to the front desk for extra towels. You had to pay $5.00 to eat breakfast which when asked at the desk what breakfast will be her response was I dont know but its a hot breakfast. Will not stay again.
I was is room 311.Half clothed people running all over. You can smell mold growing. Heater has dirt food and paper in it. walls by desk has old food stains.room Phone does not have a cord floors are gross and carpet needed replaced.. doors missing security lock. Desk dresser and night stands all chipped up and broken. Now the good. The TV looks new Beding looked clean I hope. Same with chair. Fridge is clean.. I called down on my cell phone and it was so loud at 12 am down stairs I could not hear the lady. Its 2:43 am and room 313 set off alarm and my daughter wife and I had to exit the building along with others ONLY on the 3rd floor. Our group rented several rooms and had wedding at hotel.
Dirtiest hotel I have ever been in. Too many silly rules, like hand in old towels to get new one, you need a pass for breakfast, no bringing food to your room and so on. Needs serious updating, rugs are dirty and smelly, rust around tub in the bathroom, ice machine old and rusty dont know if its even safe to use, beds feel like sleeping on cardboard. I travel every year and this is the worst hotel I have ever been in. Will never be back, and will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
This is not the nicest hotel; but they were remodeling last year March when I was there. We go to Horrorhound convention across the street and a lot of the activities are at the hotel. We have stayed here for 6-7 yrs. I hope when the remodel is done the place will be better. We basically sleep and hang out when not at the convention! The bad sides for me are the following: Elevators are junk. There are only 2 and one is usually broke down. No microwave in the room. The prices to stay there are really high and have gone up a lot the last 2yrs. I saw where someone posted it was relatively cheap. Not during the convention. We payed around $280-90 last year; about $240-50 the year before. I think this Mar2020 it’s going to be over $300-$350. If your going to the convention it’s very convenient, if your going to anything at the convention center they have a new hotel attached. Oh; I left a jacket that I really like last year and I called them when I got home. They already had it boxed up to send to me. I just sent the shipping label and they sent it! The lady that answers the phones there; she has been there for at least 7-8 yrs (Naydi sp?) is super nice! They did lose by booking one year; but they gave me another room so all was well! I will continue to stay there every year.
WORST HOTEL EVERCheck in started with running back in forth to our room with keys that didn’t work. After switching rooms and 4 attempts we finally were issued keys that worked. Most of the hotel was “closed” however the entire hotel was disgusting. First thing we noticed in our room was the filthy unvacuumed floors and toothpaste on the bathroom walls. That night when we went to bed we found cigarette burns on our comforter. When I attempted to call the front desk from the hotel phone in the room it was disconnected. However All of this was nothing compared to what happened to us the next morning at 7am. We woke up to fire alarms going off in our room and instructing us to exit the building. When we entered the hallway we saw the entire building alarms going off. As we were changing to leave we heard someone violently banging on our door. We answered it to find a staff member yelling ,accusing us of setting the fire alarm off due to smoking. As non smokers we were offended. We immediately invited her in to check our room. She found there was no smoke and rudely informed us it must have been steam from the shower. She never apologized but instead made us feel terrible for inconveniencing her. So we asked for her supervisors name and she informed us she is the manager. When we left for the day we stopped by the front desk to make sure everything was okay with our room. We found out she was not the manager. So we passed our info off to the front desk clerk to give to the actual manager. Still no word from any management. We have never felt so unwelcomed or uncomfortable in a hotel before.
(STRONGLY RECOMMEND LISTENING TO ALL THE BAD REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING)Awful, would never recommend. Incredibly expensive and a lot of their things are broken or dont even work, glad we didnt pay for the water park, didnt want to get some communical disease. When we got there we hadnt noticed the deposit (because it was never anywhere mentioned before hand, only on a sign at the front desk once you get there) and didnt have enough in cash for $200 or enough on card, since most of the trip was paid for in advance with it, at the time but the manager did let us pay only 100 cash so that was quite nice of her, but the pool keycard pad never worked and the keys were incredibly easy to demagnitise. The elevator couldnt tell us what floor we were even on and was stuck at one, and everytime someone else wanted on and we were already almost completely down it brought us right back to the top when there are two other elevators to use. The shower faucet also had a bad leak in it and the air conditioner did not work properly as well as the tv remote. When we were going to check out we ran a bit behind my mother, who was already downstairs to check us out, and someone came in and radioed we were still in there (fine and understandable) but was incredibly rude to us when we were already throwing our bags over our shoulders and heading out, like we had just crashed there and not paid them a bunch of money for this room. Most of the staff was really kind and helpful though but, and Im not trying to be racist because I am white, the majority of the white staff we came across were rude and disrespectful despite how few there were they just ruined a good bit of the experience there because they were constantly trying to rush us somewhere else and away from them when they were just standing around chit-chatting. Will never go back there for barely par quality when I can spend less for the same somewhere across the street.-Edit: I will say the room appear nice and they have great internet access and television service, aside from the remote not working, but I forgot to add the outdoor pool was not even open when we went and the food service was not great, or even free for the quality. The bathrooms do not have locks on them, but everything is labeled well and its too hard to navigate I suppose
This is going to be long but trust me I would read it before considering staying at this place.Absolutely terrible. If I could give 0 starts believe me I would’ve.We planned to take my niece to the Cincinnati splash waterpark for her 7th birthday plus we have my 15 month old daughter and my 19 month old niece with us we drove more than 2 hours to stay here for the night and enjoy the waterpark. We get there and they inform us the pool is down due to a pump problem. We said ok that’s fine they then informed us of a deposit we had no idea about before coming but we paid it they tried to use my card and I realized I didn’t have enough on that card to pay for it so obviously got declined but we used a different card and it got approved. They still took everything off of my card and when I questioned it they said the bank would have to release it back to me ok whatever. So my sister and I wanted to check out the room before we all went up there, the whole place needs updated the one elevator wasn’t working and our room smelled like body odor so bad and looked like it was maybe cleaned for 3 mins.Anyways we wanted to see where the waterpark entrance was and there was a sign that said closed for maintenance so we went to the front desk and asked about it they said “ohhhh sorry the waterpark is closed and has been since August won’t open until fall”. At this point we were livid the pool was down and now the waterpark and she didn’t tell us until after we paid?!?So we asked for a refund because who wants to stay at a hotel with smelly rooms and no fun. Not to mention they said for breakfast they only offer fruit and juice. They refused to give us a full refund but said that the $75 deposit would be back in a couple business days. They were beyond rude and said we shouldn’t blame them for us not doing OUR research before booking. So of course we had to prove to them we did we googled right in front of the manager Cincinnati splash waterpark and it says open now the manager then cuts us off and says “it’s google anyone can change anything” we went to their actual website and all it states is the outside pool is closed due to maintenance but our indoor pool is still available. So explain to me how I was supposed to know nothing worked in this place. So we left and stayed at the livinn across the street because they had a nice working indoor heated pool and my niece was already so upset we could not go to the waterpark. So today Monday which this all happened Saturday, I called my bank to figure out the reason all of my money was out of my account and they said they have nothing to do with releasing it back to me and the hotel has too.I already called corporate and complained, wrote a review on the better business bureau and we will be getting a full refund for the room as well so I called the hotel today and very nicely tried to explain to the “manager” what my bank told me she cut me off 3 times and was beyond rude she said it would take 3-5 days to be back into my account so I said ok and hung up. Let me be clear if I do not have my money back into my account by Friday I’m going to raise hell.So all in all the staff is rude the “manager” shouldn’t be an manager at all as she has no CUSTOMER SERVICE skills. The place looks and smells horrible. And nothing works. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND NOT STAYING HERE.Side note: there’s a review from a month ago where someone complained about the pool being shut down, the owners replied with I’m so sorry our pool pump broke that day but we overnighted a pump and will have it fixed in no time! We were there 2 days ago they said the pump was broke and it had been for weeks?! Yet they overnighted a pump. All these people want is your money they don’t care about people.
I cannot wrap my head around how cheap this hotel is (or at least how cheap it was in November 2019) because I really can’t fault the place.Great room, decent food in the restaurant / bar, and really friendly staff. The lady in reception even remembered my name 4 days later!Top marks, I will certainly be back if I pass through the area again.
If youre looking for a 5 star stay at a 3 star price this is it. While the rooms arent fancy they are comfortable and clean. The staff is all very friendly and accommodating. Pool is clean and cool. And the bar inside the hotel has very reasonable prices. Also easily one of the best continental breakfasts Ive had at a hotel.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE...Walk into the room get hit with a horrible putrid smell, the floor is soaking wet, the mattress is hard as bricks and its 78 degrees inside the room, its 83 outside. Called the front desk only to have someone by the name of Ms. Terry tell me somebody spilled water on the floor (basically get over it) and somebody will be bring towels and air freshener. Towels were brought up shortly, and some type of liquid air freshener that had no smell to it. Maintenance comes to tell me you have to turn the thermostat down to 66 for it to click on. Oh and lets talk about the furniture (see pics). Looks like it was bought from the local Salvation Army. The pictures you see on the internet are very deceiving. For 2 night stay @ $135 a night I would have been better off staying at a Red Roof Inn...Oh and the ran out of vodka at 11pm on a Saturday, and the bartender had no clue what simple syrup was. Not a fun weekend. Dont stay here!!!! Stay away!!!!
I give it a thumbs up the staff was friendly and was very helpful I visited during the holidays . Family enjoyed the water park just for future references guest that check in and pay for water park tickets should automatically be given extra towels or it would be nice if the park supplied. All in all very clean and an excellent front desk manager pleasant attitude I was pleased.
Lets start with conditions: dirty hallways, stained carpets, spotty internet, and the cable was constantly on the fritz. It smelled like there was a dead mouse in the bathroom, and it took at least three tries to get the door open every single time. The only positive note is that the bed was comfy. I only gave it a 2 on cleanliness because I didnt actually SEE the dead mouse. FYI - the staff do NOT know what a do not disturb sign is. They knocked multiple times until we answered the door. Wonder if they wouldve barged in and found us changing if we hadnt opened it.Do you like credit card fraud? If you do, this is the place to have data stolen! I got lucky, but multiple friends who stayed in the hotel for the same event are dealing with suspiciously similar charges that appeared shortly after check in. The hotel also double charged several people for incidentals and/or the deposit. Now, we were there for a steampunk convention. Steampunks value an altered form of Victorian manners, and Ive had staff from other hotels lament to me personally when they find out we wont be at their hotel next year (we tip well, generally clean up after ourselves, and love to make new friends). This hotel treated us like a chain-gang prison reunion. From the minute we stepped in, over half the staff were weirdly hostile. A third roommate was late, so we got to see the drama at the front desk unfold for about an hour. One receptionist was great (we chose to join her line later to check in). The others wielded the hotels bizarre $75 deposit policy like a threat. Glaring at each customer, theyd say, You KNOW there is a $75 deposit. Most folks didnt know. They checked in anyway. The receptionists didnt look happy about it.Throughout the the weekend, they threatened to kick a mother and her kids out of the hotel for getting on an elevator (that was under the posted person limit). Staff went out of their way to bully a trans kid. Best of all? They ignored one of the principle requirements our convention has always had - that one hallway be booked SPECIFICALLY FOR ATTENDEES ONLY. Why? Because its a convention, and the runners know people will drink at room parties. To make sure no one goes overboard or causes problems, we use our security to check IDs before people enter that space. It also ensures we dont annoy neighbors. Having the hall open to attendees ensures people dont crowd into rooms past fire safety standards. The hotel waited until the party was in full swing to inform us that they HAD NOT followed the usual agreement and there were non-attendees in some of those rooms. No one was allowed to stand in the hallway. No one. You couldnt stop to say high to somebody in passing for five minutes (with no drinks in your hands) without hotel security approaching you.Management clearly decided they didnt want us there and went above and beyond to prove it.P.S. Dear manager, before you try to save your reputation and sweep this terrible weekend under the rug, know that I really did stay there. I dont use my real name online whenever possible because thats internet safety 101. Just give me a number/phrase/whatever and Ill send you an email with my full name and the dates of my stay to prove my legitimacy.P. P. S. Dear manager, if you reply to this review as you have others from this past weekends event - a $75 dollar deposit IS NOT common for hotels in the region that share your price range. The Symposium has stayed at three other hotels, and none had a similar policy. More importantly, your staff failed to mention this cost to patrons making room reservations. When your deposit nearly equals one nights stay, patrons NEED to know that up front. If you arent ashamed of this policy, and it isnt underhanded, as you claim, you need to work on communication, clarity, and follow-up.
The hotel staff isnt the friendliest. The hotel seems to be updated inside, the hallway outside the room was hot and uncomfortable though. The room was in good condition, updated, clean, but the temperature wouldnt drop down lower than 70 and it was cold outside! We asked for extra towels and were told they were low on towels and couldnt give us any. To top it off, come after the stay, I saw on my credit card account that I got charged for a no-show for a reservation I never made. The staff couldnt help me about the billing charge, was told to call back for a manager. Im having trouble getting a hold of a manager. It just keeps going direct to voicemail with no call-back.UPDATE: Finally got a call-back from the manager. Getting a refund for the no-show reservation. Supposedly the charge was from a reservation I made that wasnt cancelled, even though it was cancelled a month ago. I still have the cancellation email with the cancellation confirmation number. A glitch in their system? Hopefully they can get that checked and corrected. The manager then personally reassures me a better night stay the next time and proceeded to give me his cell phone number. For this reason I raised my star rating review of the hotel.
There were employees stationed throughout the hotel to guide us towards our meeting hall. The hall was very spacious, and the staff were very friendly. The acoustics of the hall were also very good, to where those speaking didnt even really have to rely on microphones.
This has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever been too. We made a reservation though travelocity. Once we arrived to the hotel and got to our room, it had a terrible odor and the beds were terrible. There were stains all over the walls, floor, and beds. The bathroom looked like a truck stop bathroom. Once we saw how nasty the rooms were, I went back to the front desk to cancel my reservation. I was told this would not be a problem and they would refund me. They told me to call travelocity to cancel the room. Travelocity said they needed to contact the hotel to make sure this was true. I was told by both the hotel and travelocity I would be funded the full amount. Its been two weeks and I never did. Now they are saying I did not cancel and that I checked out the following day. This is not true because we stayed at the hotel across the street which was way nicer and costed the same.
Worst hotel!! Carpets are filthy and in need of a good scrubbing. Took a shower and by the time the water drains, I might as well of taken a bath. Their refund policy is 20 mins to get to your room, check to make sure everything is ok and if not, they will change your room. Yeah, ok...(sarcasm). Who knew you are supposed to check the outlets to make sure they work????? Bathroom has no working outlets & no exhaust fan. Took my daughter to try and swim at 7:30 am since they open the pool at 7. No clean pool towels! Trash everywhere!! Filthy pool that had a film or puke on the surface. Disappointing stay, subpar customer service except front desk attendant Lynn. If I could give negative stars i would.
My friends and I stood over for this years A&G Con! Our stay was overall pleasant, but we did experience a bit of some unpleasant things. For starters, my biggest peeve is how they do hotel payments (EDIT: I learned that pre-auths are an industry practice, so Im fixing my review to be more accurate.). We were all going to split the payment, but they just needed my debit card. The gentleman at the front desk made it sound like we all paid after our stay, and the $75 deposit would be returned. However, I learned the hard way on how badly pre-auths are with debit cards, and I had a near panic attack when I was charged with the entire stay, unlike what the gentleman told us. There went all of my spending money for the con.Over the weekend, it got a bit cold, and the knobs on our heater/air conditioner in our room were missing! We had to really bundle up with the blankets, which wasnt fun for my friends. If you plan on going to the indoor pool, be careful; it isnt always heated. My friends and I really wanted to swim but boy, we came out shivering just a few minutes later (thats sorta our fault though). Shouldnt the indoor pool always be heated?Everything else was fine; good breakfast, nice chill bar area, but Ive definitely stayed at better places. Not very happy with the lack of explanation for how the hotel processes pre-auths. Unfortunately, I never received back my $75 deposit, for it was never meant to come back to me.
Horrible!!! There were 2 holes in the ceiling above the shower in the bathroom, no microwaves in the rooms, the bed scarfs, carpet, and neck pillows were dirty. The worst part is the power went out around 6:45pm saturday night. Its ridiculous that a hotel that big did not have backup generators for these types of situations. The temp dropped and it got extremely cold. Eventually the security lights went out in the hallway and it was pitch black! Tried to call the front desk, as im sure everyone was but the calls would not go out. After a while they disconnected the room phones! Tried calling from cell to the main number & kept getting message that call could not go through. When we asked about a refund, after walking downstairs, we were told the only way we could be refunded was if we left right then. We were on the 8th floor and had our elderly grandmother with us. Needless to say, that was not an option. By that time it had been 4hrs, with no lights, tv or heat. With the restaurant downstairs being closed, walked down 8 flights, drove to get something to eat (fast food since by then everything else was closed), and had to walk back up the 8 flights of stairs! So of course our food was cold and we had to eat using our cell phone flashlights. The lights did not come back on until 2:59am!!! We were not compensated nor apologized to for our inconvenience! This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had!
This hotel is old and it smells of chlorine, mold and marijuana. The bathtubs and toilets need a serious scrub down. In addition when we wanted to leave the staff didn’t even seem to care they were patrons nor did they ask why we were moving to the Hyatt across the street.During the event we were attending there were wet children in bathing suits running around and the staff didn’t seem to say anything.Overall this place was a dump and I made the right decision to switch hotels
If I could give a lower score I would. I booked a king room for a wedding there this past weekend 1 month in advance. I had called the hotel twice trying to book with the wedding and they told me that the “party did not exist”. The bride and groom finally went to the hotel because they guest were having so many issue and were assure that our reservation had been linked. We got to the hotel late due to having a late flight. Once we arrived we checked in and told we were with the wedding party area. Well we were in the very back of the hotel, the furthest away from the wedding party. We get to our room and there is no king bed, 2 doubles and the room is trash. Mildew carpets, mold on the walls. I’ve never seen a room in such condition. I call the desk right away and the phone did not work. So I had to call on my cell phone to front desk. The man working said come down and we will switch it, no problem. So at 1am we lug all our luggage back down to the lobby just to be told they have no king room for us. Mind you, our parents came up and surprised us and booked the day before using another 3rd party site and did get a king bed in the main tower. He told us the manager would take care of it in the morning and we would have to keep our room for the night. So we went back to our disgusting room to turn in for the evening. We go down first thing in the morning and my fiancé says he was told to speak to a manager about the mix up. The lady said no Problem, we will fix it, leave your stuff in your room and we will call you when your new room is ready. We had to run errands before the rehearsal dinner so we were out about til almost 330 and never heard anything. We finally made our way back and asked the lady at the desk(a different lady) what was going on. She informed us that since we booked 3rd party our room wasn’t guaranteed. I pulled up the email confused because I went to the site for the hotel when I booked the room and reread through the fine print and it said nothing about this policy. She informed me that the links on their site go to a third party and she couldn’t do anything. At this point I was upset and was getting frustrated with her rude tone. She proceeded to put her hand up in my face and told me to let her speak. So I let her speak and then let her know how upset I was with Ramada and would be calling corporate and she would need to do something about the situation. She told me all she’d do is move my room closer. I walked away cause clearly she was going to do nothing and took the closer room. Closer by 2 doors and floor down, still in the back away from everything that is. This room was worse than the first, it reaked of cigarette smoke and was in worse shape than the first. I didn’t want to take my shoes off. At this point I got in contact with corporate and let them know my concerns. They told me they would call the hotel, once they got in touch with the hotel they were put on hold and told me they would call me back once they heard something. I haven’t heard back yet. This is the last time I will be using Ramada and I am disgusted by how you treat your guests. It’s a disgrace.
Do not book this place was staying 8 nights and went to cancel because their pool was down and the website didnt tell me until after I placed the booking then I get to the hotel to stay the night because they wanted to charge me for 1 night and get to the hotel and they wanted to charge me 75 more dollars on top of the 337 I already paid them so I had no where to go that night. All because of a deposit the jerk at the front desk would not waive the deposit .
Please stay away from this hotel. Literally the worst hotel experience Ive ever encountered. Rampant drug use, poor quality, horrible unkeep, poor lighting, room key cards didnt work, on and on. Im sure the owner will have some stupid response as to why Im wrong, like hes done to most of the other reviewers. Nevertheless, please dont choose this hotel. You and your family deserve much better than a stay at this Ramada.
Was there for a professional event. They served appetizers as part of it and the food was great. Drinks werent included, which is probably because of the contract between the hotel and the association I was there for. However, to charge $2 for a 4oz glass of coke is ridiculous. Other than that it was a great experience
The room was terrible. The microwave literally caught on fire, the refrigerator didnt work, the sheets were ripped, the door to the bathroom didnt close all the way, and the door between the rooms (had a joining room) had a whole in it where the knob would have gone. The nicest people working there was the security members. Definitely dont recommend.
I have been staying at this hotel for several weeks now. Working in town. I was very surprised to see some of the negative reviews. My experience has been very satisfying to this point. Great breakfast!!Just wish it started earlier. Doesnt startuntil 7:30am. I travel for work and most other hotels I have stayed at start breakfast at 6:00or 6:30am. Other than that, great place to stay.
So we normally stay downtown when visiting our family in Cincinnati but this year because this hotel advertises a water splash center for kids we thought it would be great to gather and let the kids play while we were all chatting and hanging out...ugh no....i called twice before arriving and at no time was i told the pool was closed i was told they had indoor and outdoor pools...ugh no...they splash center i was told was closed and so was the outdoor pool granite it was raining while we were there but the indoor pool that was open is a small 4 ft pool and there were no towels . We went to the front to ask for towels were told they would have someone bring them...2 hours later still no towels...the bathroom down there smelled of pee so bad it was horrid...it look like a cellar instead of a nice pool area. The room was decent but the bed was like a rock and the maids on the 2nd day we were there we said you dont have to make the beds just please take out the trash and put out towels and toilet paper...came back at 3:30 in afternoon trash and room was all the same had to request a cup from another maid who said at 2 that our maid was on there way but never showed and when we ask her for a cup she look like she was going to faint. So we complained at the front . My mother in law has cancer and she said her room was the same but the worst part is i guess because we used price line we were being punished by everyone that has price line was on one floor or area and our rooms smelled like dirty socks or old coochie...it was horrid......The nicest part was there was an indian anniversary party and they played music all night it was nice to listen too...But the breakfast was decent on the weekend but you pay $9 per person. during the week it is free and wasnt bad. The coffee is awful for me id rather have a great cup of coffee than a bunch of stuff thrown together to look good. it wasnt bad but for $12 more I can pay for a room downtown which I normally do and my room is always nice at the riverfront. This place looks nice in the lobby but my mother in law went out to smoke and she was just sitting in a chair by the green pool and they come and ask her to leave because it was closed...but that morning kids were shoving each other in the pool and later that day more was out there chasing each other around the pool...and instead of locking things up there was rope used to tie the doors ...how ghetto.....why dont they use keys...then there were people over in one section with balconies looked like people living in the hotel was out there all hours of the night...it was not the place i stayed several years ago which was a decent place to stay at a reasonable amount ...not ever again....I will stay downtown...or elsewhere in the area...pay the extra dollars its not worth the stink....the smell of the room was awful we bought spray to get through the 4 days we were there...oh and if your friends or neighbors of the people who work there...you get privileges otherwise they look at you....like why are you here....The two black ladies who worked in the morning was nice when we left on Monday.
Our family stayed here for a Family reunion the weekend of Aug 10-12... this hotel is substandard at best.... the parking lot had people hanging out blasting rap music.. security should be patrolling and keeping this from happening.. I didn’t feel safe... then coming into the lobby the desk personnel was very unfriendly and unwelcoming.. the elevator was very hot and the hallways was hot when we arrived at our assigned floor.... the light in hallway outside the room was burned out and I called the front desk and maintenance came up but didn’t fix it ! He said in the morning the security latch to the door had loose screws barely securing the door.. the entry door to the room and the bathroom door sticks... the bathtub was dirty... the posted signage around the hotel had missing letters... the pool had visible dirt on the pool...in the middle summer the outdoor pool was closed... we ate breakfast on paper plates and the French toast sticks and eggs were overcooked.. no turkey sausage was offered for those with dietary restrictions. I just felt the overall hotel felt dirty... 1/2 of the family left to stay at other hotels.. only one person greeted us with a good morning on Sat morning... we didn’t feel welcomed at all. After all you are in the hospitality business. So, hotel gets 0 stars. Will never stay at Ramada again!
The amenities included running water and a working tv. And by running water I mean, never stopped running. It had the look and feel of a pay-by-the-hour place. The hallway lights flickered eerily, the keys didnt work in the door, the door to the outside didnt lock, and the chain on the door wasnt screwed in enough to do any good.
This hotel has a good location, next to good restaurants and nearby attractions in Cincinnati. Also, very cheap! Continental breakfast is pretty good. However, had issues with check-in. Room was okay; clean enough, but not great. Pool wasnt that good. If youre looking for a cheap place to spend a night or two, this is it, but its not much more than that.
Best hotel we have ever stayed at, and we travel a lot! We were only supposed to stay for 5 days, but, ended up staying 8, because of the fantastic customer service, plus the rooms are beautiful, the beds are comfortable, they have an indoor and outdoor pool, plus a huge water park. Oh and did I mention they have different limos you can rent out, and a nice bar and grill. Their breakfast was amazing and everything is right down the road... restaurants, shopping, gas stations, even a mall. Could not be happier with our stay! We will definitely stay here again and recommend to our family and friends! I would especially like to mention 3 people who made our stay even more wonderful, because of their great customer service, hospitality and all around treating us like family any time we left the motel, came back or needed anything, they really made us feel at home. Lynn at the front desk always has a smile on her face and always asked if we needed anything if we were coming or going. She is so pleasant to talk to and made us feel very welcome, she honestly cares about people and we just loved her! Customer service isn’t what is used to be, but, Lynn definitely has it!!! The manager Nidhi was so sweet, she took care of anything we needed, when she would speak to us or other customers, she really listens to what you are saying and she takes care of you. The last person I would like to mention is Jay the owner. I don’t know many owners that are at their motel every single day, but, he was. Every time we or anyone walks through the front door, or he sees you in the halls, he talks to you like family, he asks how your stay is, he asks if everything is ok, and he stops whatever he is doing and really listens. Jay, you have an amazing staff from maintenance all the way up to the manager, you know what it means to treat customers with respect and like family, we loved our stay here and we will come back again! Thank you for what you all do!!!
This place is a hole. Was there for two days for Jazz festival and hade to get new door cards 3 times. External building door key card not working. Beds were full size but advertised as queen. There was no cold water. Toilet water was HOT. Really. There are no room phones. No kinda landscaping was done except at entrance.
I had a terrible experience with this hotel. I made reservations for 2 adjoining rooms with the splash and stay package. We were driving to the hotel from Indy and one of our kids got sick. I called the hotel to cancel my reservation. Check in is at 3 pm and I called about 4 pm. They stated that they couldnt cancel with full refund, but they would remove the cost of the splash park tickets and only charge me the cost of the rooms due to a 24 hour cancellation policy. They also charged me more than the advertised rate for the rooms ( I didnt realize it until I looked it up later). Later I was made aware that the hotel also has a policy that if you check into your room and it is unsatisfactory, you have 20 min to request a refund. So, if I would have just gone to the hotel checked in and left, I would have gotten all of my money back. I called the hotel about it and they simply said that is our policy, Im sorry. I wouldnt recommend a hotel with this type of customer service to anyone. Im shocked that #wyndham allows service like this from their franchises.
I was in town for work and needed a place ri stay. Found your hotel was one of the better priced ones. Wasnt expecting much but your hotel is clean and the staff is very nice and professional. Im terrible with names but the young lady that checked me in was very nice. Enjoyed playful banter with another young lady that found my credit card on the floor and tracked me down to return it to me. Cant remember her name(Lynn?)but she was very nice. If I need a place to stay when Im back in town Ill be staying at your hotel. Almost $5 a beer though... come on lol
Upon checking in they told me complimentary breakfast was between 7-10am. When me and my daughter went to eat breakfast they told me it was $9 per person on the weekends. Wth?!? First time complimentary breakfast wasnt complimentary. So we went to the waffle house for cheaper. Other problem is there was no vending machines in the whole building other than one in the lobby. Which was literally a 5 min walk from my room. It was out of half the options and the other half was cans and no diet. Def not worth the hype
It took them about 30 minutes to check me in, charged my card for the deposit and then said my card was declined. I had to show them my bank statement to prove it went through. The room appeared clean, checked the bed ect. Saw no issues. Woke up the next morning with 5 welted bites, up my arm around to my shoulder. Went downstairs to front desk, showed the employee who made me wait for the manager. Manager gets there (late) and she asks me what I found. I showed her my arm and she told me that she would have maintenance do a room inspection. After waiting (and delaying my work day) she tells me they didnt find anything, and after I told her bites dont magically appear, she said she would call the health department to do a more thorough inspection. I contacted the site my room was booked through, they reached out to the manager who said maintenance didnt find anything so the hotel refused to refund my room or offer ANY compensation. I then call to follow up with the health department and as it turns out, the manager never bothered to call them. I had high hopes for this place, but I wont do bugs of ANY kind. Its now the evening and the bites are still swollen. Even the free breakfast was disappointing. The sausage gravy tasted spoiled and the French toast sticks (that I watched come out fresh) were rock hard, milk was in a plastic beer pitcher with a wide open top. Save the hassle, skip place and stay at the Livinn across the street, much better customer service and Ive never been bitten by anything there. They also have fresh made pancakes :)
(PART 2)The final night of my stay we came back to the hotel from our days events to find the hotel in a disarray. There was a huge crowd around the elevators being ushered slowly by one staff member into two of the three elevators. When asking the hotel associate why this was such a process , his response was “ a lot of people have been going up and down in the elevators today, and one of the elevators is glitching out. This made me highly concerned as there was no signs in the elevators validating that the elevators were ever inspected. Once on the elevator the doors opened on two floors before reaching our floor .On the both floors guests immediately complained about how long the waits were just to get on the elevator. I felt as if I was at an refugee camp trying to get to my room. There was never clear commutation during my stay and staff was constantly giving air-headed excuses for blatant disregard for their guests.Upon check out, we picked up the room and waited for the normal receipt to be slipped under the door, which I don’t even know why I thought that would happen. Frustrated and check out time approaching, we all just brought our things down to the lobby and I waiting in yet another exasperating line to check out( expecting a receipt for my stay). When I FINALLY reached the desk the woman looked as though she hadn’t slept all weekend as there seemed to only be four staff members that made up the entirety of the desk staff. The Associates name tag look like it had been soaked in water and crinkled up and then smashed under a piece of clear plastic I could barely read the name. I asked her if I could get a receipt for my stay and I was checking out for the day she got immediately quiet and started clicking buttons on the screen not making any eye contact with me during this entire interaction.. my friend standing next to me trying to ask a brief question she completely ignored him and after a few moments of awkward silence she briefly and slightly looks up to me to tell me “since you pre-paid for your visit there is no way that I can give you a receipt for your stay but I can take your keys and you are checked out for today”. I was so appalled at this point that I grab my car keys and just walked out of the hotel because I couldn’t even get a receipt for my stay, I have been treated as if they were not prepared to have a guest in this hotel. The service that I received at this hotel could’ve been compared to a Motel 6 or a knights inn on a bad night.I have tried multiple times at this point to contact the hotel for a refund for my stay as I was completely appalled about this an experience. And to top off the entire experience once I . Arrive back home I double checked the hotel’s website directly to find that the price that I paid for my stay was $30-$40 more per night then what they have been advertising on their website. So on top of the terrible service I was blatantly charged an additional fee of $30-$40 more than what they had been blatantly advertising online for the same hotel stay. I highly recommend you never stay at this hotel as it already looks like it is about to close.
While the room itself was nice, it was not worth what we paid tp stay there. There was an additional $75 deposit that we had to pay that we were not told about until we arrived. Also, nothing is included and you are expected to pay extra for every little thing. Weve honestly had better service at a discount hotel.
Fantastic service, great position, easy access from interstate and to food, hotel pools both indoor and outdoor were spotless clean, didnt get to experience the waterpark but would definitely stay again. We stayed on the 9th floor which our room over looked I-75 but beautiful view, very clean room, California king sized bed. Wish the room had a small kitchenette but other than that will definitely stay again next time were around the area.
By far one of the worst hotel in Cincinnati! They charge you $75 for incidentals along with your room fee which you get back as long as theres no damage. But the kicker is if you check out at 11:10a then decide you need another night due unforeseen circumstances to re-book you theyll charge you another $75 so now you have 2 holds on your bank account or give them $200 cash as a deposit to which youll get back once they confirm no damage. After all that the fitness center opens from 7a-10p. At 730a I tried to use it to no avail. Went back to front desk twice to have my card re-magnitize just to be told they had to wait for maintenance master key. After waiting for 25mins his master key didnt work either. I was told the door wouldnt open and they didnt no why and try back tomorrow. I informed them this was my last day here and she says okay have a nice day. Lastly, my refrigerator/freezer didnt work which they were able to swap out after a short time but couldnt find a microwave for my room which it was suppose to have. Overall I never would stay here again to say the least.
Not clean enough and they want to charge you for towels if you dont give them the same amount of towels back.. plus they want to charge you a $75 deposit even though you have already paid for your room online talking about it for security. Talking about you get it back if the room is okay and all the towels have it return. And it got to be a credit card. And then they only have one microwave and its downstairs. No microwaves in the room
Good and bad experience... Good side their rooms r very clean and neat and tidy beds r very confrontable... Bad side is house keeping ladies r very rude and pushy. They wont make eye contact with u like they hidden something . They under construction and have a lot of things shut down and closed like pool and workout room. They have tarps hanging up in alot of places its very quite and creepy walking thru the hallways. Elevators dont work

This place has the potential to be very nice BUT it is poorly managed. During my stay the pool remained locked with hours posted 7am to 10pm. The front desk kept promising to call us when they located the manager with the key to unlock the pool, but that never happened. I asked for the manager, but I was told he was in a meeting. I left a message with the person at the front desk and a voice message, but never heard from the manager. Also, the bar/restaurant is never open. I stayed here for several days, but I was unable to enjoy the marketed amenities as a result of what appears to be a poorly managed location.
From the moment we checked in (forgive me I forget the second shift staff names) until check out the stay was fabulous. We stayed next door to the Presidential Suite so we felt like vice Presidents. Rooms were clean, beds very comfy, great pillows. Just because of the stories you hear...I checked for bed bugs. You can tell it is a factor the hotel is conscious of and they are taking all precautions NOT to have them. The Grille was fabulous also. Blake is awesome. I recommend looking him up. We did the Stay and play package with Splash Cincinnati. It was a wonderful choice. I feel like the new owners are working hard on upgrading ans making the hotel even better.at check out we were greeted by the best Nidhi, Shaian, and Ernestine smiling happy faces! Thank you all.
Deserves NO STARS!!!! First hotel I have ever stayed at that charges a $75.00 deposit & so it surprises you when you go to look at your bank acct.Where 2 begin on this place & misleading website photos:1. We wanted early check in & i called to ask & the woman who answered stated it would be a $25 extra fee & check in 11a-2p but, if we wanted to arrive at 2p for check in it wouldnt cost $25 after 2p. Ok, this was helpful because we wanted to drop our stuff off early & get over to Kings Island. I called back 2 ask if we need to let them know ahead so our room was ready. Another lady answered & said early check in was at 12p-2p, i stated I had already called & the other woman said 11. As I tried to explain, the woman would not let me speak a word. She kept cutting me off so I hung up on her. We get to the hotel & go to the front desk only for a different person to tell us early check is at 1p. Who in their right mind would pay a $25 early check in fee for only 1 hour? We had to involve the manager & FINALLY it was sorted out.2. ELEVATORS: Only one elevator worked as we were taking up our luggage to the 7th floor. There is 14 floors & i understand elevators can be busy dealing with customers all over the building, but only one working elevator? We waited 30 minutes to get to our floor. Each & every ride up & down was a guaranteed 10-30 minute wait. We have suitcases & tons of bags to have to walk the stairs to the 7th floor (which we had to do a few times from being tired of waitimg) .3. Our room smelled of wet, damp, moldy ass. The furniture was out dated something from the 90s. The bed looked ok until we tried to sleep, the bathroom handle didnt work in the sink, the curtains were ugly old heavy bunched things that covered our A.C. unit, their was stains on the carpet in the conjoined room our friends stayed in & housekeeping tried to cover it with a trash can lol, then the A.C. didnt wanna keep us cool half the night.4. They had a huge family reunion the first night of which the whole invited party hogged BOTH pools & BOTH areas. Each time wed go down to check if they left the halls were swarming with God awful screaming children, fighting love spats between couples, ppl sprawled out & about every where wed turn, the hotel didnt care if ppl who were not guests was running around or in the pool. Kinda unprofessional & weird to see ppl sleeping on couches & chairs in the many lobbies you passed by to go outside. Trash every where, cigarette butts all over the place & we were worried about our vehicles both nights. 2nd night was a wedding rehearsal AND a wedding reception. Lovely right? No!!! It was more crowded than the prior night. The hotel had a board as we walked down the hallway to the amazing elevators saying Wedding reception going on please be quiet down the hallways ok r u for real here? Were quests staying in ghettoville here & youre telling US to be quiet? Wait they rented a room near the lobby, but weve gotta be quiet? The wedding was so loud & the guests of that wedding were so loud it was head wrenching.5. There was NOT FREE BREAKFAST, LIARS need to remove it off their website. Not once did we see FREE BREAKFAST, when we asked they stated we could buy the breakfast buffet for $8.99. Well we dont eat a lot to want that much food in the first place & promised in our stay was free breakfast. So do not count on having free breakfast.6. The hallways smelled of dirty diapers... I mean the most awful smell. Diapers & Chinese food. Not just an hour or 2 either, it was the whole entire time.7. Why is there so much security guards in this building? What the hell has went on here they need so many security guards lmao. Kinda scary...8. The splashing fun pool connected to their building was dirty, loud, smelled, & ontop of it too much for a couple of hours. Sry, but thet had security there as well lmao.9. This hotel took more money out of my acct without permission & for no reason. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN... EVER!!! GO across the street to the Hyatt for only $20 extra each night.
We booked a room as a last minute getaway over winter break for our kids. The water park was good with lots of stuff for the kids. The toddler area was freezing cold though, so unfortunately our youngest wasnt interested at all. The hotel..... it was ok. Our room had stains on the floor and there was a giant clump of hair in the bathroom on the floor (gross). Staff was friendly, but thats about it. Breakfast was pretty terrible. No juice or water, only a gallon of D milk. Coffee was so diluted it looked like tea. Overall, this was on ok stay on a last minute idea. If we were to come again, we wouldnt stay at the hotel. We would get a room at one of the other hotels in the area and just pay the price for a day pass. Oh, thats another thing.... when you purchase the splash and stay package you get 2 days of water park. But heres the kicker.... the waterpark doesnt open until noon. So checkout for the hotel is 11:00, therefore your stuck for an hour if you want to get your second day of the water park in. Another reason Id just stay at another hotel thats a little nicer since the park doesnt open until later.
Fire alarm at 5am. Room smelled like mold, air conditioner was noisy and wouldnt keep it cool. Room wasnt dirty, but felt very used. Indoor pool was unusable as the people in there were too rowdy for my young kids to be in there (theyd ripped the life preservers off the wall, they were playing with rope which tangled my son, jumping in off furniture, etc). Stay across the street at the Hyatt.
MUST READ, One million stars below zero stars. No joke by God as a witness for me and my wife and I am speaking the truth and i have photos to post later with an IT guy, Please don’t be fooled by the positive reviews these are all lies upon lies from fake emails or friends to keep the place at 3 stars, we had a 3 day stay for a wedding half the people that were staying there were there for the wedding half went across the street to the Hayatt after they saw the rooms, what a difference for 20 dollars more per day at the Hayatt. I can give the Hayatt Convention 4 stars from what we have seen. Many wedding friends and families they left Ramada after seeing the rooms. My wife has allergies, so she decided to pull all the sheets off the mattress to our surprise the mattress had blood stains on it rust from the springs below or dirt stains mattress seems are ripped at all three corners didn’t check head board side, went down spoke to the manager and she said maybe it’s grape juice. I asked her “would you sleep on this mattress from the pictures?” she answered no. I said I would not let my dog sleep on this mattress , she the manager stated this is the first time it has come to her attention well what about housekeeping i said did they not see it. I’m sure they see it but can’t do anything about it. We had no fridge they brought a mini one up that looks like it was in the trash. I spoke to the owner and he refused a refund I asked for a receipt, he said Ramada doesn’t do that. We will file a complaint with the health department of health These people are not trust worthy even the wedding service was horrible I can’t believe the bride did not cry. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE or go and make your own Judgement by the way horrible breakfast is supposed to close at 9:30 they locked the door at 9:20 am and all the food was being removed while people were eating there.Remember the phrase “I told you so” but you refused to listen at least before you check in. ask to see the room pull the sheets look at the mattress. I told him, your greatest asset is a positive review and your customers. He and she as owners and manager did not care. I won’t complains about the cigarettes smell the manager said, oh we threw them out and charged them 250 however we dint really care of the smell of cigarettes as it was in the hallway and not the room I am an idiot my wife said let’s go across the street and I said no let’s remain humble and stay what a MISTAKE!!!!!Good luck folks
We stayed there with a group of 10 others. Asked for a ADA guest room. It was FAR from the reception area and one the SECOND floor. Room was so narrow we had to remove furniture from the room in order to get my partners scooter in the room.Rooms TV did not work, front desk had NO idea what to tell us, they were clueless. Finally a maintenance man came up and discovered a previous guest pulled some wires out of back of TV.Guess what! Most ice machines did not function? Did hotel care? NO! try another floor we were told. So I had to try 4 other floors before I found a functioning ice maker.Went to hotel restaurant/bar. Again, the handicapped door was LOCKED and we were told that there was only ONE way into the place, and I had to make the waiter or whatever he was open the door. It remained locked during our entire visit. He was busy watching one of the many TVs in there, and we were the only guests in there.I see others on here mention free breakfast?? Hotel offered this? We were never told and we were there three days. I passed by the breakfast room and the attendant told me to purchase a ticket at reception desk.Furniture is cigarette burned ( even in non smoking rooms ) and looks like it came from a second hand store. And they have a missing towel fee of $35 per towel? I can see that if they are missing, but never did housekeeping replace any of the towels in our room during our stay. Hotel has signs in bathrooms stating laundry costs are high, so you are on your own.Guests ignored signs about NOT walking around hotel in your bare feet - sanitary - NOT!Never ever again.Do yourself a favor and choose another, better hotel.
The check in was slow. Only 1 of 3 elevators were working. When I got to my room I had trouble getting the key card to work. My room smelled musty and the furniture was old and beat up, but my bed and the bathroom were clean. I heard that they were remodeling, so I hope it improves.
Will not stay again! I would say the attached water park is what is keeping this place open. We stayed due to a soccer tournament that required you stay at one of their hotels. I show up to check in and knowing they were a hotel for this soccer tournament they had two people working the front to get people checked in. Upon checking in I found out they charge a $75 deposit if you use a credit card and $200 if you pay cash for your room instead of just holding your card information in case of damage. After much digging I did find this on their website. So now $75 of my checking account is tied up for the next 5-7 days for no reason. When we walked into the room we were blasted with what smelled like cigarette smoke (non-smoking room). In the bathroom the toilet was not working properly and the shower had some major wear to it. They do offer free wifi but after the 30 minutes it took me to get connected to it, it barely worked. I ended up just using my data so I could actually get somewhere with what I was doing. They did provide a breakfast buffet, at a cost of $8.95, I have yet to see that part on their website (actually after I posted I noticed the amenities listed on this page say free breakfast - WRONG!!!). I wish we would have gone somewhere else and bought breakfast, for $8.95/person there was very little selection, some of the food was hard as a rock, the coffee machine seemed to be barely working and the machine that dispensed sugar either wasnt working or they are very skimpy on what they let it dispense.Soccer tournament requirements or not, I will not stay here again and will go back to my regular brand hotel that is not much more expensive if at all and offers FREE breakfast with a much better selection and quality of food!
Rooms r very old and smelly on first floor. Bed sheats were very rinkled n smelly. Feels like they didnt clean it..just made the bed with the old sheets from previous day. Got a motel like feel.Breakfast is not good.. thr is alot of syrup. Bt no pancakes or waffles. Sausages are very dark n old. Stay was okay. Feel like they are understafed and underpaid employees.
Worst Experience at a Hotel EVER! Started out excited about this trip and getting away from home for the night. That quickly changed as soon as we went to check in. When booking the room no where was it stated that they held a $75 deposit for accidental, so we go to check in and they try to charge us for that, declined. After she runs it she tells us that it was declined for the the reservation. What? Low and behold they had run it with the deposit and took every bit of money left in my account and yet was still declined. Contacted the bank and they said that they needed the hotel to fax over a letter releasing the funds and that it needed to be on hotel letterhead which according to the manager on staff he does not have. So now we are without a room and money. NEVER staying at Ramada again, better yet never staying at a Wyndham property again!
Got to the hotel and the room was digesting and damaged. Slide latch on the door was busted off and hanging off the slide. Thein fridge was filthy and not cleaned. The floor had not been swept. The walls were filthy. The bathtub had mold aroind the grout. The previous year, the room had no hot water all weekend. Management does not seem to care for the well being and care for their customers.
Awful location and terrible sleeping rooms. Run down, old, musty and attached to a water park with lots of screaming ill behaved children. All the staff with the exception of the meeting coordinator and the front desk manager were rude, uncooperative and difficult. There are outrageous policies like the birthday policy outlawing birthday celebrations and if they find decorations theyll charge you a fee. Oh, and I would never walk around this location without shoes.
We are staying here for a convention and need to stay one additional night past the end of it, but we will be finding other accommodations for that night. No way we’re staying here. The whole hotel is run down and there are rules for EVERYTHING that I’ve never seen at any other hotel before. If you don’t return the bell cart to the lobby, they’ll fine you $25. You can’t get extra towels. If you need clean towels, you have to hand over your used ones before they’ll give you clean ones. You can’t walk to the pool in your bathing suit. You can’t hang out in the hallway. At the mixology panel, they wouldn’t let the presenters share the drinks they made with attendees (even though everyone was carded at the door). Our convention has been actively hindered by the over-reaching rules of the hotel. Several traditions that were perfectly ok previous years at other venues (including the drinks at the mixology panel) were verboten here.Despite all these rules, they ignore hotel security 101: They handed out a key card to our room to someone who wasn’t staying in it. When my card wasn’t working, they gave me a new one without even so much as asking my name. The rooms are old and dirty. There were bugs. There is no light by the shower so it’s very dark and hard to see. Outlets didn’t work. The cups that they give you in the room are cheap and left little white flecks floating in our coffee and tea when we used them. The key cards have stopped working multiple times. They’d blamed us for putting the cards by our cellphones, even though a) we didn’t and b) tons of other attendees were having the same problem. The elevators are slow and several of the lights are out. The wifi wasnt working, which severely affected my partner’s panel. The “restaurant” is a joke. It’s basically a bar with extra tables. It’s not an actual restaurant. The bartender Friday night was surly and ignored us (there was a woman who was doing all the work but she was spread too thin to help us). Their beers are the stuff you find at dive bars, not a hotel. Their wine selection is “red” and “white”.Honestly, I’ve stayed a ton of hotels for conventions, and I’ve never had the number of problems we have had at this one. The hotel added stress to what should’ve been a fun weekend. I would highly recommend staying elsewhere.
The place is a dump. Staff is unresponsive to requests. Thats if you can get them to actually answer the phone at the front desk. Communication was an issue as no one spoke English or acted as if they didnt. Although they clearly knew how to take my money. Room was OLD AND DIRTY. I tried to leave a little while after I got there. But apperantly they only give you 20 minutes to decide if you like the room after that no refunds. Avoid this place at all costs.
This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in I will never go back I will never go back to a Ramada Again They do not deserve one star. Book 2 rooms 1 to be handicap assessable we get their check in said they do not have any handicap Assessable rooms At All. WE booked the rooms a week in advance. Both rooms was supposed to be king beds we got 2 single beds hotel smelt night mode and marijuana TV did not work. The Staff workers were real nice and politely.Dirty Nasty Carpet For No Working Ice Machines In The Hotel No Contenatal Breakfast For All The Money You Pay. I Wouldnt have Ate The food anyway Seeing that the place was dirty.
Overall a great stay! Hotel is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Price is right. Second stay and pleased both times. Would recommend. My only drawback was extending my stay at the price I booked through the Wyndham Rewards site. They were very helpful and understanding of extending my stay on a daily basis as needed but when asked 2 keep the same rate as I booked online through the Wyndham Rewards I had to go through a little bit of a hassle and order to get them to accommodate that at first they wanted me to rebook through the rewards site on a daily basis but not a big deal they ended up coming around and not a huge con anyway although slightly inconvenience otherwise definitely will stay here again. Quick side note for hotel management for those of us traveling in to the area for work you should consider having a minimal breakfast bar of quick to go Foods so we can partake in the daily breakfast since it does not begin until 6:30 a.m. at a lot of those traveling in I noticed were leaving before the breakfast started just an idea to make your hotel slightly better to accommodate your patrons
You pay a discount price in advance thinking youre all set, only to find out theres a $75 security deposit for each room. So much for Christmas shopping with family, didnt get my money back right away. No where did I read before or after the booking Id have a security deposit $150.
I booked here for spring break for children. Thinking we were going to an indoor water park. We went to get breakfast from the restaurant & the lady at the desk had an attitude like we were supposed to know the restaurant was down due to renovations until 2020. So I call to make sure the Splash Area is open while I have my kids out for lunch and they say it’s closed until 2020. So I ask for a refund for the remainder of my stay . They were rude and said I should have told them when I checked in I was there for Splash Cincinnati. I told them that nowhere on the website did it mention it was down for renovations and even says open so I didn’t feel the need to confirm when I checked in. Needless to say , when they swiped my card they told me my total was $392.00 , they really charged me $437.00. I ended up leaving the morning after and was refunded the remainder of my stay. Staff were very rude. I would not recommend this place!
The ramada clearly cares more about profit than guests. The room was tiny, dirty, with beat up furniture and sheets that didnt fit the bed. The heater was obsolete. The room only warmed up after running all night. Breakfast was only a small time window and packed everyone in a tiny room. I couldnt even get to the coffee. If it wasnt for my children desperately wanting to stay we would have left.
The room thermostat did not work with specific temperatures, either the heat was on or the air conditioner was on. The room was in disrepair, paint chipping off the walls and writing on the walls, stains on the carpet and bedding, and trash on the floor. The bathroom had a horrible layout where the door almost hits the toilet. Also, the bathroom door didnt lock. The hallway stank, luckily the room did not. Lastly, the beds were as hard as a rock, as was the chair/ottoman.They mislead you at the lobby where it is bright and reasonably clean but it goes down hill fast. There is no free breakfast so if you read that, be prepared for an additional charge.
I dont even know where to start with this place. I am giving them one star because the lady at the front desk was nice. The pictures on the website were very misleading. After we took the nine hour elevator ride to the ninth floor we walked into our room. It was literally 85 degrees in the room. The AC was not turned on in the room and it was 95 degrees outside. The bathroom was just big enough to stand in. You could not stand in front of the toilet and close the door.GREAT NEWS!!! NO BED BUGS!!!The need was meh at best, but the carpet was disgusting. After coming back from our nightly activities, we decided to go to the bar. Scetchy at first...with the repetive tecno music playing... But the service was great. Drinks were strong and they were very friendly. Spend the extra dubloons for a better room, the savings here were not worth the hassel.

2022-06-11Marriott hotels are the only ones Ill stay in these days & these one are top notch!Amazing people working here. Amazing quality everything. There was even a protective cover on our mattress. (I always inspect for bedbugs right after I check in.) Everything is super clean; no dirt, no mold, nothing bad, everything good. Dont hesitate to stay here.

2022-03-15The hotel was really nice and clean. The staff was also nice. I was a little annoyed with attendees from the wedding party who decided to stay up until 3am and it was daylight savings time...smh! Lets just say I didnt get a good nights sleep.

2022-06-08Hotel was clean. Towels were stained. Bed had a mattress pad on it and it constantly moved because the sheets arent made for the extra pad so it wouldnt stay on the corners.

2021-12-05First of all I called to make a reservation and verified a few times that I needed a suite on arrival I found out that they booked me for the wrong room and didnt even have a suite ready . So after my 6 hr drive I waited for them to supposedly change the bed. Once I got into the room I pulled the sheets up an thats what I found discolored white chunks I called the front desk annoyed to tell them about the many problems Ive had with their hotel and they said the best they could do is get me a new pillow. Im so angry and disgusted with there service. They ended up changing me room but wouldnt gave me a discount for my troubles. Definitely not coming back , EVER

2022-03-28We stayed for Horror Hound Weekend. The staff was very cool and helpful, it was convenient since it is attached to the convention center and the rooms are really nice.

2022-01-14The worker Myles had screamed in my sons face because he spilt his chips on the floor BY ACCIDENT and went on to rant about how he is going to have to clean it up. His customer service was some of the worst i’ve ever seen I asked for help with my bags and his exact words were ‘do it yourself you saggy old man.’ I have never. never ever. Been that disrespected. Worse experience of mine and my childrens life. Will never return.

2021-07-21I will have to say that the stay and the event was nothing but great! We had our Daughters wedding there this weekend and had family and friends come from all over the country to attend the wedding and stay at the Delta. The hotel was beautiful and accommodating for all. The venue was also beautiful. The best part was our wedding coordinator NATALIE (event Manager). She was very professional, courteous and patient. She new exactly what to do and has the take charge mentality. She help make my daughters wedding perfect without incident. I believe she deserves recognition for her outstanding work ethic. People like Natalie should be at the top of the hiring chain for what she does. One happy Mother of the BrideCrystal B
