This was a great place to go, especially if you appreciate healthier options! Their menu also includes vegetarian options clearly marked with a (v) beside the menu items. My only piece of advice would be to salt your food, pretty much all of their its could use a bit more seasoning.
We were looking for something local after visiting the Pro Football HOF. The food was great, service was quick and friendly, and our family left happy. If you have a child that eats a lot, dont worry about getting a kids meal for them. The sandwich seemed to be the same size as a regular order and filled up both of my older kids.
Absolutely amazing and worth your time to stop! I have been going since they opened. Their food is delicious & freshly made. The soups & breads are homemade. The desserts are GENIUS! They locally source as much as possible; local owned; reasonably priced (comparable to a junky fast food meal) & ALWAYS friendly. 💙
Great selection of soups. Grabbed the half sandwich and soup for lunch. Was ready quickly on a weekday. Everything was delicious and the combo came with a pickle and chips side. Their dessert selection was nice choice of cookies and brownies. Peppermint Brownie was huge! I got carryout, looks like it may be carryout only with covid.
Simply put, its excellence. A small, local owned treasure. A top contender in the area for breakfast and lunch. They boast locally derived foods with recipes made in house from scratch. They have a minimalistic decor with a relaxed atmosphere. My choices are always their biscuit sandwiches. I’ve tried the ham, bacon, and sausage and love them all. The biscuits are made from scratch too, of course. The macaroni salad is a must try. The food is unbelievably fresh. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Browse their soda cooler to find some cool drinks. You can stay up to date on their menu and browse through pictures of their items on their Facebook page as well. They also cater.Tip: Seating is limited and often fills up. Watch for the one way streets while visiting downtown. Remember on street parking is free on the weekends and after 4pm on the weekdays.
Deli Ohio is such a gem. I seriously love everything about this place. The service is great, I love the way the food is presented, the paper takeout containers, the cute interior, the little mason jars for water! But its of course the food that makes it. The sandwiches are always huge, fresh and absolutely delicious. They make their own mayo, sauces, slaw, sides - you can really taste it! Even a simple sandwich like a BLT is so much better due to the fresh ingredients and care in preparation.Im partial to the rotational sandwiches they have on a seasonal basis. My favorite is the Hawaiian - unique and delicious!! The turkey italiano is probably my favorite regular menu sandwich. I just tried the chicken noodle soup for the first time yesterday and it was so flavorful and loaded with big chunks of chicken, veggies, and noodles. However I have to give a shoutout to my absolute favorite thing about this place - THE COOKIE SANDWICHES!!! They always have the incredible oatmeal cookie ones and then a seasonal flavor as well. The frosting in the middle is the best ever and the cookies themselves are always the perfect texture. I love all the flavors Ive tried - mint creme, orange pineapple, chocolate raspberry.. yum! My husband swears by their chocolate chip cookies but I can never resist a cookie sandwich. This place is the best.
This place is absolutely FANTASTIC, friendly staff, amazing food. Im stuck on the ham and bean soup & blt with this amazing aioli The baked good are to die for . If you havent tried deli ohio yet, youre missing out . Its becoming a weekly stop for me , I never regret it.
Locally owned place that makes great sandwiches and offers a relaxed welcoming space to eat in. They have an extra room in the back that you can use to hold lunch meetings for larger groups. Owners are awesome and truly care about the quality of their food and their community. If youre from out of town and looking for some good eats, I would definitely give this place a try!
This place definitely goes well beyond the standard definition of a deli but has that deli feel at heart. The food is artisanal but approachable. Everything is made with care, because the staff cares. They even know to recommend me the best baked good out of their famous dessert case! Highly recommend.
Best deli sandwiches Ive had in this area. I really like the Cuban. Kids like the ham sandwich. Sandwiches come with good crispy potato chips. You can upgrade this side. I like the apple slaw when they have it. The simple desserts at the counter were fantastic. We had the oatmeal cookie cream sandwich and an apple pie pocket. The soups this last time were not so good. We tried them both and didnt care for them, but the soup I had last time was really good.
A very good selection of sandwiches freshly made and served on a wooden plank. The dressings really compliment the meats and toppings. Very good sides. Salads are pre-made so even though they are fresh it didnt feel like your moneys worth. Nice place to have lunch with friends.
The foods amazing. The people are even better. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Every sandwich is somebodys favorite. They also serve great breakfast sandwiches and pastries.. Not only is the food fabulous, but Ryan and his crew have a vision for how their restaurant can have a role in community transformation. From their pocket park to Stark Soup to neighborhood advocacy, its obvious their mission is bigger than sandwiches.
One of my favorite places to eat. Their home made biscuits are delicious. The blt is my favorite sandwich. The sauce they use and the local bacon makes it unique. I love their community attitude, their partnership with Stark Fresh, and the local products they use and sell. Truly a local business worth supporting!
Im not a huge fan of sandwhiches but decided to try the place anyways. The egg salad sandwhich I had was amazing. It was slightly sweet which I loved. The grilled bread was perfectly toasted. The minimal waste atmosphere is pleasant. Ice cold water is offered on tap with a cute mason jar for the cup. The food is brought out to you an a wooden plank. The service is fast and the staff are polite.
I love this little deli! The food is always awesome and the workers are all so pleasant. I went one time when I was pregnant and ordered the BLT, which I didn’t know the aioli sauce is made with raw eggs, and the cashier asked in a very gentle and knowledgeable manner if I was sure I wanted it because of the sauce and then offered a variety of different options he could do instead. I was so appreciative and impressed! He went way above and beyond what he had to and approached a sensitive subject that really could have backfired! He went on to explain that his wife was also recently pregnant and thats why he knew to ask. It made me feel very secure about eating there because I know they have their customers best interest in mind. The only thing that mildly bothers me is that the tables always feel sticky even though I see them cleaning them every time I am there. I think it’s just the finish on them, though. If I could give ten stars I would! I recommend deli Ohio to everyone I know!
I’ve gone back several time. I’m trying very hard to like it but am disappointed each time. Not for a health conscious individual or those doing low carb. No low carb options. Soups taste great but tiny portions. I had a cup one time and a bowel the next and both seemed to have same volume of soup in them! Would have been great if I wanted a ton of white bread with everything. Not for everyone.
One of my favorite places to eat in Canton for lunch. The setting is so chill — instead of plates you eat on small bread boards and there are mason jars instead of plastic cups. The sandwiches here are on point and they make them fresh right there in front of you. The Cuban is my personal favorite. You definitely gotta check this place out if you are in town!
I got a sandwich and a cup of soup which were both good. Sat at a table that was incredibly sticky which was not good. It was so busy that there were no other tables available. I know I was in during a lunch rush, but I did not notice any staff members cleaning surfaces during my time there.
I was pleasantly surprised by this little deli. The food was tasty and the servers were nice and pleasant. We went during a rush though, so the food to longer to get to us than I would have liked, but that is really the only thing. Plus, it was out of their control. No one can plan for being extremely busy on a Tuesday afternoon.
I was devastated when I saw the North Canton location had closed, but it gave me the incentive I needed to check out the location that started the legend, and am happy to say that it is just as good as the dearly missed branch to the north. The food has a fresh taste to it, and theyve even accomplished the impossible feat of getting whole grain bread that tastes good.My personal favorite is the Rustic Turkey Italiano, but Ive had a few other menu items and you seriously cannot go wrong.
Experienced this place for the first time this week...in the search to find it the public garden caught my eye and then the artwork on the exterior of the building and then I noticed where it said “Deli Ohio” I was like awesome, it’s next to the garden, local and fresh ingredients are wonderful in my book...walking in, first thing I noticed were all of the plants making for a welcoming atmosphere, the menu was vegetarian friendly and everything we ordered tasted fresh and “real.” I have been on my mom for a while about eating better and foregoing those gross fast food restaurants full of preservatives and no nutrition; Deli Ohio helped me to show her the difference between feeding your body and just getting your belly full with excuses for food...She couldn’t believe how good the homemade biscuits were, I had the Apple Spinach Brie Sandwich and it was wonderful! I will totally come back and recommend any chance I get... we need restaurants like this EVERYWHERE!
I recently started working in down town Canton and have visited Deli Ohio for lunch multiple times now. So far Ive had their BLT, Turkey Italiano, and Egg salad sandwiches, as well as their feta veggie pasta salad and macaroni salad. I have yet to try something I dont love! Affordable prices, delicious food, and friendly staff make this a regular go-to for my lunches. (I also LOVE the little library in their lobby)
Every time I go here I’m pleased. Great staff, great food, and great service. If you don’t know what to get, then get the turkey avocado. Literally one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. There is not a better place for deli food in the area. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
Very good food. I like the ham apple brie sammich. Im just not sure about the thick piece of board that they use to serve. I get the reusable theme, dont get me wrong. The board just seems awkward. Would prefer something thinner and with a lip to keep my food from rolling off.
What can I say, my all time favorite breakfast sammie. Bacon, egg, cheese, homemade biscuit and whatever they have fresh in the pastry case. Bent Tree coffee (Kent, OH), ground fresh for your cup. Stellar lunches on their homemade bread. If its wrong, I dont want to be right. Also, they have a Boylan soda fountain machine, and Hartzler Dairy ice cream pints. Ryan is doing everything right at this downtown spot.
Used to love this place but over heard an employee talking negatively and rather crude about another business. I dismissed it. Then I see this employee on line calling the business names. I wont be back, a business that lets an employee talk rudely on the job is bad enough but to see her acting like a child on line and being over the top inappropriate, while posting where she works certainly reflects poorly on you as a business. I cant even pronounce her name, but her last name is Mellot and she is on a rage against my favorite wine bar. From the looks of things she is about to get sued and rightfully so. Unacceptable.

2022-06-02Has gone downhill we wont be back! Tables are never cleaned. wilted lettuce, and soup made us sick with diarrhea You stand in line forever at lunch. Instead of them having an order line and a line to pickup food that has been pre-ordered and paid for ahead of time on the phone, they make you wait in one long line. There is no management and the employees pretty much do whatever. Too many other downtown options at lunch, so you dont need to put up with this joke of a place.

2022-03-03Went there for the first time, and the staff was patient with my indecisiveness. Great assortment of sides, unique drinks, and they carry my favorite coffee. White chicken chili and chicken salad sandwich were *phenomenal*. Filling without being too heavy!

2019-06-12First thing you notice is the wonderful artwork on the wall of their building. Walk in and you have the amazing smell of fresh baked bread before hitting the second door. The food is packaged in paper containers, meaning no guilt for take out. Now on to the main event, the freshly made entrees. Taste out ranks even these amazing looking sandwiches, that come complete with crispy pickle and cracking chips. Dessert, not that you will have room right away, was big and delicious. This is a must eat at place in Canton!

2019-12-03Service is always fast and friendly, and the food is so good! Everything is fresh and made with good quality ingredients. Generous sandwich sizes and the soda is top notch. I usually get either the turkey bacon avocado or a Cobb salad. Great little lunch spot!
