What kind of nursery doesnt accept returns on plants with spider mites? I loved this place since they bring all the exotic plants and I pour money over money to them but I got one plant that had spider mites webs and I brought to them back next day saying I cleaned and sprayed it but I still dont want to bring mites to my other +30 tropical plants indoors and they said nope. Even the online sellers shipping from all the way from Florida have return guarantees up to 30 days. Bear in mind that while things are OK, its all good but if your plant is infested or something happens you are on your own. P.S. the some of the other plants they have also seemed to have spider mite webs. I told them and they didnt care about them either. Be careful when you buy something from them or quarantine the plants.
Went to get some herbs and planters for my patio. They helped me pot my plants with a layer of mulch, charcoal, and then potting soil at their potting station. The herbs and planter box selection was much better than what I could have gotten at Meijer or Lowes at the same price and the customer service was better as well.
Friendly staff. Wonderful selection of plants - I’ll often find things here long before I see them other places. Some plants can be pricey but overall fair prices. Unfortunately they do seem to have a pest control problem with their houseplants . I’ve purchased a few plants that I didn’t notice had pests until it was too late. Still love to shop here but I always make sure to look over anything I buy and quarantine them from the rest of my collection.
Top-notch house plants ! ! !All well known as well as some exotics. All plants are healthy, clean and well cared for. Great variety of types of plants as well as a variety of sizes from small, medium to large. Very friendly and helpful staff. I cant wait for my next house plant purchase. Thank you Delhi Flower and Garden.
Very organized and nice to roam the greenhouse. Beautiful orchids and nice selection of fairly common house plants. So many pots to choose from and they even have a DIY planting area to plant your item in the pot you select. A little pricey, but I was pleased with my Jasmine and new planter.
I used to really enjoy going to Delhi Nursery. The quality of their plants has greatly gone down hill. Many are root bound-several plants in the larger portion of the greenhouse had a visible disease.I was the “only” customer in the store yet the sales person on the floor was extremely rude. She was unable to provide the names of several plants and then said, is that all? I put all of my plants back and left. I didn’t want to buy anything and bring it home. Looking at the plants at home would only remind me of my dismal visit. The 2 people at the register did not offer to help me either while they were just standing there. There are other friendlier places to buy plants. I mostly likely will not return. So unnecessary to run down what was once a nice place to buy plants.
Every time I go, the houseplants have multiple types of pests. This time when I told an employee about thrips, she was very rude and said they have been treated 2 days ago yet, they’re still on the floor with live thrips. I walked to the other side and a plant was absolutely covered in aphids. They should not be selling houseplants if they don’t know those plants need to be severely treated and pulled off the floor. They are risking an unknowing persons house plants if they take any of their plants home. This is their 3rd strike with pests with me. I have well over 200 houseplants and spend a lot of money on them. Delhi will never get my business again due to pests and rude workers.
Love this garden center! The employees Ive dealt with are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Plants are always beautiful and extremely healthy. They have a large selection of ceramic pots, plant stands, and other garden decor, in addition to the many indoor and outdoor plants. The prices are competitive with other local nurseries. Highly recommend.
This is such a cool place! First of thet have two adorable resident cats 🐱. The plant sections are very organized. They have houseplants, annuals, perennials, pollinator plants, herbs, vegetables, trees, and for terrarium/ fairy gardens! The staff is so knowledgeable as well.Kind of pricey, but the plants are healthy. 🌱
I love going to Delhi Garden Center. When they moved locations, it was a further drive for me but I persist in going there. I have never found a greenhouse in Cincinnati that consistently has any many indoor and outdoor plant choices year-round and has such knowledgeable staff. I go there for terrarium plants, winter specialties like poinsettia and cyclamen, house plants such as a twisted trunk ficus tree (hard to find, especially healthy ones) as well as seasonal annuals and perennials. When I pull into the Delhi parking lot, I know I am headed for an aesthetic experience in the greenhouse and a satisfying shopping trip. I find the prices are often a bit higher than bargain locations, but the product is well worth the extra money. I know I am getting a healthy plant and informed care information. Finally, I enjoy the beautiful cats who lounge so happily in the garden center and let me pet them. : ) One day when I went in the fall, there were quite a few hummingbirds inside the greenhouse, resting up for a journey, I believe - and getting an easy banquet, too! It was a wonderful sight.
My husband and I had planned to visit a few places this past weekend to replace some landscaping. We were so glad that Delhi Garden Center was our first stop. We were approached by Laura and asked if we needed any help. We told her about our project and she was tremendously helpful and extremely knowledgeable! The selection is much better than you will find at Lowes or Home Depot and the plants they sell are specifically chosen to thrive in our area. Their prices are a little higher than you will find at the hardware stores, but we think its a small price to pay for excellent customer service. I doubt we will go anywhere else in the future.
Last week I came into Delhi to add around 5 nice size trees to our landscaping in West Chester. I met Laura who was very personal and knowledgeable! It was a quick and painless- even fun experience. I have shopped at Delhi for years and once again was not disappointed ! Thanks 😃
I absolutely loved this place loved past tense until I went there and bought some poinsettias and one beautiful poinsettia that they called dressed. I noticed that this one was quite heavy so I figured that it had been watered lately I brought them home only to find out that my big beautiful poinsettia is almost dead it will definitely be dead by Christmas according to another nursery person I checked with this plant had been over watered. I called the store only to have the nursery manager pretty much tell me sorry about your luck we don’t guarantee our plants. WOW I filed a complaint with the BBB and wrote a letter of complaint to Mr. Maddux and he had completely ignored me and the BBB. I was told that Delhi Flower and Garden isnt what it used to be its gotten so big and impersonal isnt that the truth.
This is the first time we have gone. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable... Lori was very helpful...she explained where ever thing was we was looking for....we needed plants that needs full 🌞....they had a large selection to choose from....this is a large place...the prices are very good....the plants are good quality. We will be going back soon.
I went a few weeks ago with my sister to check out the shop. I ended up buying 3 small houseplants. Fairly pricey but I was willing to spend a little extra because I found plants that I cant normally find at big box stores. I was so happy with the selection that I went back 2 days ago. I purchased a monstera adansonii in a hanging basket and a small hoya. I inspected the hoya today before watering it and noticed a lot of mealybugs on some of the leaves and stems. GROSS. I then looked at my other plants I bought a few weeks back and noticed my philodendron micans also had mealybugs and so did my peperomia. I am very disappointed by this. Now I have to deal with getting rid of the pest and pray that the rest of my houseplants dont get mealybugs or die.
I went here a few years back for a small plant and got a little $3.00 spring cactus. That cactus has grown to be a medium cactus that has grown more than 5x it’s size and it still alive doing well. The people here are great people, would recommend it to everyone looking for something that will last.
Awesome staff and great selection. My 4 yr old and I were in there looking around and really just killing time. I noticed a worker locking a door and asked what time they closed. Turns out they had closed 15 min prior. I apologized but the guy was really cool about it and even helped me pick out the fertilizer I needed.
Too expensive, hanging planters stringy and wilted. TNT so much better and also Berns. Had a gift card of 110.00, bought two hanging planters and a cement lawn statue. Had two dollars and change on the card, and they refused to give it to me in cash. Talked to manager, he still said no. Definitely not coming back!
The flowers are quite beautiful, nice enviroment, very comfortable but the workers have horrible customer service and are very rude. I ran into a worker named Chris she acted very cocky. I also noticed how she treated the workers very bossy and demanding and mean. If you want beautiful flowers and to have the workers treat you bay this is the place to go!
This Nursery is one of the best in this area they have a great selection of indoor and outdoor plant, however you hardly find bargains they never have any clearance or sales going on but for what you get compared to other nurseries and greenhouses you get stuff for better price
Variety, variety, variety. The young man, who assisted me, and his supervisor need additional training. They were joking around but when I walked up, the supervisor immediately turned and went the other way. Also, not sure why management would allow a worker to have a soft drink cup in-hand while assisting customers ??? When I asked about lilacs, the associate led me outdoors to where the trees were, several laying over on each other. When I thanked him, he said welcome and walked away, leaving the trees as they were, nor asked if I needed anything else. Guess it was more important for him to go back in and cut-up with his supervisor. However, the other young man working the exit door was respectful, friendly, and assisted with taking a bag of soil out for me. Even so, decided not to return after first visit.
Last month, the Cub Scout Pack 945 decided to plant a butterfly garden in memory of a Liberty Early Childhood School teacher that passed away earlier this year. Many of our scouts knew or had Penny Cecil as a teacher (or had a sibling who had her as a teacher), so this was something that was close to many of the boys.Delhi was very helpful in working with the boys to plan out the garden. Teresa took alot of time on a Saturday to teach the boys why each of the plants that were selected for the garden were important to butterflies and caterpillars. We were able to take advantage of a number of specials and coupons to help reduce the cost of the garden. Delhi even generously donated the mulch for the project.Last week, the school hosted Mrs. Cecils family to thank them for their donations to the schools library and to also christen the new garden in Mrs. Cecils memory. The family were all invited to help spread some Zinnia seeds over the garden as a way to add their own contribution. The school was very appreciative of the garden. Mrs. Cecils family was overwhelmed with the garden in her memory. On the final days of school, the students all were looking at the garden, searching for butterflies and caterpillars (one or two even brought in a butterfly house to install in the garden). The Cub Scouts that planted the garden all have alot of pride in their accomplishment (and it was the last thing they all needed to earn their Wolf rank, which they were awarded last week as well). Without Delhi, none of this would have been possible. On behalf of the staff and teachers of Liberty Early Childhood School, Cub Scout Pack 945, and the family of Penny Cecil; I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks to Delhi for their time and generosity. You all have helped to make the world a better place, one garden at a time.Daniel Colpi-Cub Scout Den Leader - Pack 945-Liberty Early Childhood School PTO President-Friend of Penny Cecil

2022-03-31My wife, son, and I really enjoyed our first experience at Delhi Flower & Garden Center! We purchased a few new house plants (Ficus Audrey, Aglaonema, ZZ Plant) and decorative pots for them. We are completely new to plants, and the staff (across two visits) was terrific. They explained the ins and outs of caring for the plants we were interested in, potted our three plants for us, and were very friendly throughout. It can be intimidating getting into a new hobby, and I was really impressed with how informative and nonjudgmental everyone at the shop was.Their indoor plant selection was excellent, and the staff was very knowledgeable and able to make recommendations. They have a huge assortment of decorative pots, which we really appreciated since the selection at larger stores is generally terrible and unattractive. Id describe their ceramic pot assortment as ranging from modern to farmhouse. Their rewards program is a nice touch - money back coupons to spend on your next trip. Our toddler loved the two cats that hang out at the shop.A+ experience overall. This will be our go-to garden center moving forward; well worth the drive from the east side of Cincy. Please keep up the incredible work!

2021-12-29Amazing selection and extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff. The pricing seemed fair as well. I ended up leaving with a huge Kangaroo Foot Fern and a gorgeous Brasil for $19.99 each. I was very impressed with the health of the plants and how well rooted they were when I repotted them. I will definitely be back to visit very soon!

2022-03-26This place offers an excellent selection of plants and accessories. They have various lawn items also. My wife enjoys browsing to get ideas and we often buy from here. In fact, we got our Christmas tree on clearance a few years ago. The only criticism I have regarding the business is the price. I know its tough when youre a small business, but the prices are a bit higher than competitors. We still support this business and enjoy our shopping experience.

2022-03-22I really like the open concept, plant station and cat! Its all good until you start looking closely at the actual houseplants then you realize majority had some type of pest problem. Super bummer. I feel like there was so much potential. I didnt end up making a purchase which is unheard-of when it comes to me and any nursery!

2020-08-22By far the best garden center around! All the plants Ive ever purchased here have flourished and stayed healthy and Im not even that good of a gardener. I really enjoy their signage as well. As someone new to gardening, they often have detailed descriptions of the plants, what they will look like in different seasons, average size, light requirements, and soil needs. That combined with the greenhouse organization helps me to quickly pick out the right plants for my space and get new ideas. This is also the only place where Ive found metal watering tools and sprayers! I dont find a lot of chintzy good here, which is fantastic!

2022-04-03Michelle was great and taught us all the tricks of the trade for giving our ZZ plant the best possible start. She was also super helpful with answering questions, and we’ll definitely be coming back!
