Degree has been our lawn care provider for years, but last weekend they really proved their value. Our daughter’s HS graduation party was scheduled, and they were able to mow our lawn just in time; even with all the rain delays throughout the week. In addition, the lead mower even helped us move tables in the yard so he could complete the entire yard. Degree went over and above for us, and we appreciate the great service!
Rockey & his crew did a very good job at our home, and we would highly recommend their services!
Degree has been wonderful to work with and done an amazing job on our yard! We’ve used them to mulch, cut fresh borders, trim bushes, aerate and overseed! They even did a couple of weeks cutting the grass while our mower was in the shop. The workmanship is beautiful, and everyone is courteous and helpful! Getting estimates and scheduling is easy with their great office staff! Degree has made a big difference in our landscaping and yard! By far, the best lawn and landscape service we have ever used!
Degrees staff was on time and responsive when visiting our home and getting us a timely quote for fertilization and over seeding. They crews came on schedule and followed up well. Well be using them in the future!
Have now been a client for several seasons and am very pleased. They do top notch work, always satisfied. Additionally, they are quickly responsive to questions and concerns and thoughtful in their actions (avoid mowing when too wet, come back in a couple days.). The flexibility shown demonstrates a commitment to quality, as our lawn is not just another job. They care about doing their job well. I highly recommend engaging them for your lawn service. This is our first year using Degree Lawn and Landscape. They have gone above and beyond our expectations. We love having them take care of all our lawn and landscaping needs. It helps to have everything in one place and one person to contact for all of it. We dont have overlapping services or missed treatments. They are always checking to make sure we are satisfied and if there is anything they can do for us. The crew that is assigned to our residence is spectacular! They do a great job and always leave the lawn looking beautiful. I trust their opinion and value their expertise. We will definitely be using them for many years to come and recommending them to friends and family.
Have used Degree for years now. Their primary services I use are aerating (not listed above), weed control, and bug/pest control. Their office is always friendly and fast to respond. Covid rules/restrictions gave them a little trouble at first with personnel not showing up to work making them a bit slower. But theyve since gotten some new people and if they were late on a service because of it they always made it right. Will continue using them for the services I mentioned above.
Degree L&L provides great service with caring team members in our neighborhood. We always know our yard will look beautiful year round. They have a great warranty on their services and products while providing excellent, professional advice for the trees and shrubs weve purchased over the 20 years (2 homes) weve knowm them. I have been using Degree for a few years now, and they have been phenomenal to work with. Any time I have any issues or concerns, I get an IMMEDIATE response from Jennifer. Shes truly wonderful and many service providers could take some good notes on providing stellar customer service consistently. The crew who comes out to perform the services have also always been friendly and responsive when I have asked them questions regarding work that was being performed and any time I have noted that they missed or overlooked something, they jump right on it without the usual huff and puff or eye rols lthat I have received from other companies. They even agreed to let my dog come out and meet them so she would stop barking after not seeing them since last summer! For all of these reasons, and especially Jennifers treatment and care, I honestly havent even bothered to shop around or compare prices with other lawn services. They really are THAT good!
Overall I think 2.5 but I was nice and rounded up to 3.Landscaping:Degree landscaping met my expectations in some aspects and not others. The crew working was very friendly and accommodating. The walking path and edging stones looks great when finished !! I was a little disappointed in grass coming up with 1 ½ weeks after the landscaping beds where finished with new mulch. It appeared that the pre-emergent to stop grass/weeds was not applied at all or well enough. Also, some of the transplants died immediately despite my regular watering. So I am not sure if potting soil w/ nutrients was forgotten or what happened. In either case, Degree does offer to fix their mistakes right away and/or credit. They are friendly and easy to work with. The key is to be there as they are working to make sure nothing is missed because in everything they do, they are in and out quickly. That is usually a good thing but not always. I would say even after a few credits, I still came up a little short based on the work I have had to put in.Lawn Care:Although they were too expensive, they did overseed and aerate very well. They also do a great job on the lawn mowing quality. However there’s been times when they would have missed the mowing if I didn’t call them several times. If it wasn’t for that I’d give them a 5 on the yard.Update 7/4: I ended up going with a different mower. Degree left me hanging after a raining week too many times where I was the tallest grass in the neighborhood. I switch to a service that was reliably mowing the other neighbors.
Degree has done a good job on the weekly maintenance but we paid for them to aerate, flatten and seed our lawn in the spring and it was not a good experience. They missed mass areas of the lawn with their seeding and coverage.We had to call them back out and we had to mark everything instead of them sending out a team to review their poor work. Then their weekly service kept driving over the areas that were being seeded so grass never grew.Paid over $1,000 that is now basically a throw away and will have to find a new company to take care of it next spring.
I called several local companies this past spring looking for spring clean up service. Degree was the only company that followed up regarding my request. I was worried that the cost of services would be too high, but I received a fair price and excellent service. They showed up when they said they would and left my property looking great. I was so pleased that I asked then to come back to do some landscaping in my backyard. The process from getting a quote to the completed project was quick and seamless and again, the pricing was fair. I highly recommend Degree.
I have struggled to find a lawn service that provides quality work and who is responsive in a professional manner. Jennifer, who is in the office, is always very quick to respond. Rocky, who came out to give estimates for weed control and mulching was professional, answered my many questions and the weed control and mulching was completed as estimated and very neat - such a relief! I did have some dissatisfaction with the mowing team - always mowed in same direction and did not consistently trim in back. 2nd time I brought this up, Rocky came out to survey - explained that some areas in back difficult to trim but acknowledged areas that were accessible needed to be improved, Jennifer removed charge and work has been very good since. I anticipate using them next season
The team at Degree did an excellent job of keeping our lawn in tip top shape! Always on time (or they quickly made good when the weather didnt cooperate) the Degree team in the office and on the lawn are fantastic! I highly recommend them to you.
I have had Degree as my Lawn and Landscaping Company since 2011.Degree is a company that works FOR me and WITH me! They LISTEN to my needs. They have respectful employees that are hardworking. A trustworthy company! I have regular lawn care and mowing done weekly and also get fertilization application as well as weed control. They do a great job on mulching in the spring. Aeration in the fall. Also have had them do my yards spring cleanup with trimming and pruning, and cleaning out garden beds. Their crew was great. Afterwards, my yard looked so ready for a new season ahead! Youll appreciate their friendly professionalism. They appreciate customer satisfaction and work for it!
We’ve used Degree for several years and we love their work. They are always professional and they offer top quality services above and beyond lawn care. After just two years of their lawn care services our yard looks 100% better than before we hired degree. We wouldn’t consider using anyone else.
I’ve used them for years for weed control. 3 months after they started there wasn’t a weed to be found in my yard. I have also asked them to mow when my mower was broken and when I was on vacation. They take care of my leaves every fall because there are too many for too handle. Once when my dog got fleas they got and sprayed my yard for fleas as special order. They are very easy to deal with and provide good value.
I moved to the area this summer and Degree came highly recommended to me. Their lawn cutting services are done on the same day every week and the additional services of the core aeration and fertilization really improved the thickness and color of the lawn. I recently contacted Kevin, the manager for my area to give me an explanation of my landscape plantings and their care and maintenance. I was very impressed with his knowledge of all the varieties of bushes and perennials on my property and willingness to explain what I need to do to maintain the beds myself. I had him quote a fall clean up and the price was very reasonable. He was also flexible with the scheduling, so I could observe the work being done.
We are so happy we found Degree Lawn and Landscape! We recently moved into a new home, and quickly became overwhelmed with the upkeep of the landscaping. Jason was very helpful and easy to reach. The price was reasonable and what we expected to spend to clean up our yard. They did a great job!
Rocky was great getting us the bid and design in a timely fashion. He also took the time to answer any questions and keep communication with us. The work was done as soon as possible and they left the property better than how it was found.You saved our yard by fixing our drainage issue at a reasonable price and without a 3 month waiting period. Great dependable company. Been with them since 2011. They work at customer needs and good relationships. Even though I got another new Mow Team this year they have been doing a great job and are easy to work with. Yesterday my Leaf Removal Team was tireless clearing my yard and garden, full of leaves. Looked so nice as they pulled away, but Mother Nature left another sprinkling overnight. Its that time of year. LOL I would recommend Degree to anyone looking for a company with integrity and good solid service.

We have been really happy with Degrees weekly mowing service, as well as fall clean up and mulching. The employees are hard working, efficient, and detail-oriented. Im a new client using Degree for the 1st time this year. In addition to the Fall Clean-up, I had them do some landscaping in early October. I am very satisfied with their service and only had a few minor items that needed follow-up.
Degree Lawn is fantastic! I have used them for many years and they perform exceptionally. This year had some additional rock scaping done in addition to bed clean up and mulch. Rocky is great at listening to my wishes and his crew completed the work perfectly.
Lawn cut quality was horrible. They obviously do not sharpen their mower blades, and grass was shredded. Lawn went from lush green to dull cast brown within 2 weeks (not due to lack of rain either). Will take weeks of restoration to improve. Also left tire marks gouged into turf with heavy brown, dead patches where the mower wheels pivoted. Absolutely no care was taken to preserve beauty of the lawn. Emailed complaint but received no response. I’m very disappointed and would not recommend Degree to a friend.
I had an existing landscape bed re-designed as it had aged out. I am pleased with the outcome and happy with the plants they chose to replace my old plants. I had river rock installed around my pool pump and also under virburnum bushes that were close to my inground pool. This was to eliminate mulch getting in my pool. They also re-positioned some existing limestone pavers, and also installed one large new piece to replace a stone that had cracked over the years. Next spring they will trim all of my plants, add several new roses in the front beds (other than the one they redid now) and will mulch the front and bag yard. The entire process was smooth and on time. I am very pleased with the response time and especially like that they are a local company.
Degree has been great to work with in creating the lawn I want. Rocky shared good info this past Spring regarding options and taking care of my lawn. Derrick went above and beyond in aerating/over-seeding my lawn this fall. The service provided was backed up with office personnel (Jennifer) who was pleasant, easy to work with in scheduling service and was responsive to the multitude of questions/concerns I had. I will use their service again.
I sent Degree to do a spring clean up of my parents yard. They were very lovely and easy to talk to to get everything set up. My parents say a bunch of people showed up and worked extremely hard for hours on end until it was all finished. They did an amazing job! My mom said the yard never looked so good! Highly recommend!

We have used Degree for 4 years now. Our yard always looks amazing. One of the best in the neighborhood. We have had many of our friends and family use Degree because our yard looks so nice. They are very timely with their services and their employees are very personable and knowledgeable when approached with questions. Dandelions beware, you will never be in my yard again!
We had a long time problem draining water from underneath our driveway. Rocky Meadows came from Degree Lawn and Landscape this Spring and offered a solution at a reasonable price. After waiting for rain to stop, he and his crew did a good job installing a drain and catch basin in one day that involved working with wet clay. Rocky also provided excellent follow-up on several occasions after the work was done to assure that everything was working. I highly recommend Degree Lawn and Landscape.
We’ve used Degree for over a year and have been very pleased with their work. We’ve had landscaping work done with an emphasis on new mulch, grass planted and yearly maintenance completed. We’ve specifically been in contact with Rocky and he’s wonderful to work with. They do great work.

The fall clean up from Degree Lawn & Landscape that was completed in November was meticulous!It was solid from leaf removal to edging to clean up! We were very satisfied and will definitely have them back at our house! I have no reservations! If something wasnt right they would fix it! This our second year with Degree.. Just had mowing last year, but adding fertilization and bed cleanup and mulching this year. We were pleased with the mowing service, and they just completed the bed work - with a fantastic job - the flower beds never looked better. Give these guys a try if youre in the market.
I was in a bind to get my yard under control and out of 3 businesses and 2 individuals, Degree was the only one to return my inquiry. Great job and the overall customer service has been awesome. I will definitely be using them again next year and I will continue to recommend them!

Just started using Degree this year for weekly maintenance and have been very impressed. Come every week like clock work. Mow, trim, clean up and it looks great! Have started to get some ideas from them for future projects too. They will be our lawn crew for years to come.
Ive been using Degree for years for fertilizing and related jobs. They show up when theyre supposed to and do the routine tasks well. However, they do not always respond promptly to a request for a quote or to address a problem, and I need to email or call multiple times to get their attention. For example, last year a number of brown and yellow areas appeared, which of course I was not happy about because I pay Degree to keep the lawn nice. I didnt see this problem with any of the neighbors lawns After a couple of phone calls they came to look, didnt have an explanation, and suggested I call an outside expert they recommended. When I told them I am paying them and the lawn is their responsibility, not that of an outside expert, they did come back reseed some spots. But this year the brown areas reappeared, and this occurred before the recent hot, dry spell. Degree needs to make more effort to ensure customer satisfaction, not just go through the motions of the routine tasks.
Rocky and his team at Degree transformed our backyard. The team of workers were on time and professional. They worked hard! We’ve worked with other companies in the past, and none come close to Degree. I will continue to use Degree for their services, as well as recommend them to friends and family. I’ve had multiple professional landscaping companies service my property over the years. Most often, on the next day, I have to call to complain about work that wasn’t done. My experience with Degree was different. Each concern that I highlighted was addressed. I must say that Degree far exceeded my expectations. I was given great ideas (knowledgeable) and they were able to get me serviced not very quickly, but as promised (honest). The administrative staff was responsive and helpful. I was out admiring our lawn the other day which is weird for me. But I just noticed how green and healthy it looks. Degree Lawn has done our yard for several years. I (in some weird way) enjoy mowing the grass, but I use Degree for my lawn care (fertilizing, weed control, etc.). We have no weeds or dandelions and lawn is so thick. We have had other companies come out and spray which just wilts the weeds for a day then they are back. Degree seems to have the special sauce that goes down and kills the weeds. Whatever they use, it works. If you like mowing but need help making your yard look nice, give them a call!
Rocky seems most interested in racking up his commission than giving a fair estimate. Nearly 5k in the proposal for work that’ll be completed in a day or two. If you want to spend all your money come here but if you want good quality and a amazing price go to Chuc’s Landscaping.
Tell your team to learn to park the trucks. Blocking driveways when there is no need cause they dont want to walk 20 extra steps is not ok. FIX YOUR DRIVERS AND CREW or Im hitting the truck and you can explain to the cops why you parked like that illegally even after talking to a family member and seeing that the location they picked is bad lol terrible crew
Degree made it very easy to get a program in place for mowing and have done a great job with the yard. They come every week promptly and it always looks good.Highly recommend them to anyone...

My yard has been overrun with chickweed and a few others for several years. I have tried other companies, I have tried to treat it myself to no avail. Finally I decided to look at a local company who was highly rated. In one treatment chickweed seems to be all but gone. I dont think I have any left:) I thank you, and my neighbors thank you as well.

Dont be that house in your neighborhood. My yard has been a disaster area for years because I did not have the ability to care for it properly. This year I decided to have an expert get it back on track. The difference has been nothing less than stunning! I will continue using them year after year. My absolute number one choice!
Degree broke the hinge on my gate, broke fence pickets on a fence I had just repaired, left huge bald patches on my yard with the equipment, and constantly left debris on my porches and trash cans. Though I requested the items to be repaired, no one ever fixed anything. I ended up paying a contractor $150 to fix my gate and fence and had to fix the bald patches myself. I now use The Turf Tailor and they are doing a great job.
Purchased my house in May of this year. I was looking for a lawn service to handle the fertilization and weed control along with a fall aeration. Degree was recommended to me and I could not be happier. The service and pricing is fantastic and our lawn looks great!

I contracted Degree to do multiple projects including a drainage system, a new paver walkway, tree removal, and landscaping. Their proposal was thorough and included a detailed sketch. Work was professionally done and they left the yard immaculate. Great work!
Had some landscaping done in our front yard, the rocks were not exactly what we thought they would be as they are bigger than we thought but did a good job at installing them. One plant arrived dead it appeared but after calling our sales guy back he had it replaced.

I worked for these people and none of these comments are from actual customers we provide service to these are fake ratings and lies about excellent they take your money. If they bid your mulch at 5yrds and it only took 4 they will keep the extra yrd an charge you the same for 5yrds. They over bid work that most places include in other services rendered. They fired me for leaving when they sent me home. Uh ya sent me home. All Jack Holmes does is steal from rich an take from the needy like my paychecks were always messed up somehow. An hes ripping you off with his outrageous bids. If youd like landscape done right and for the right price try OE Organic Environment. Located off port union. Small locally owned and always friendly with you and your money.

Started using them last year without regret. They call within 24hr before coming to my house which allows me to clean up and keep the dogs inside. They spot treated extra areas of concern on the fly. I will be using them again this year

Horrible customer service, called day one Jack said would be out to give estimate;n no call no show, I called again asking for estimate no return call from Jack, tried 3 more days still no response back. No way to run a business. I know think his employee was correct when he said Jack paid non customers for good reviews, where before I just thought it was a disgruntled employee.
Have been using them for years for lawn care and grass cutting. No problems. Occasionally they will forget to respond to a question or quote request.
They have made my new grass come in and look greener ever since I started using them and its only been a month! The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because its only been a month!

If anyone wants do landscaping go to degree bdont go to tc group the owner of tc group Chris doesn’t care bout his workers and plus he lets his workers do pills and other drugs on the job site

Have used Degree for the annual fertilizer program as well as their spring clean up and have always been quite satisfied
Called twice for quotes. First time they said they would stop by the house and leave/email a quote. Never stopped by. Second time i called in reference to their no show, they said they would call me back. Never called me back. Apparently they have enough business and dont want any more.

2022-04-29We are exceptionally pleased with the service we received from Degree Lawn and Landscape to design and install a new paver patio and fire pit! Jason came out twice to consult with us regarding location, design, product selection, and to spray paint possible shapes in the grass, so we could visualize the space. Our yard is not flat, so a retaining wall was necessary. We went with an octagon patio, which matches our octagon deck extension. Jason had excellent ideas for beautiful and practical features, such as a seating wall, creek rocks or mulch along the outside borders, and stone steps off the highest part of the retaining wall. We are blown away with how beautiful it turned out!!Installation took 4 days, exactly as scheduled. The skilled crew of 3 to 4 showed up early each day, and painstakingly made sure each step of the process was perfectly measured, level, and secure. Our spring cleanup was done by them as well. They took great pride in their work! They were especially respectful of our yard, trying not to disturb our grass. Everyone was extremely professional and courteous the entire time. Jason very clearly communicated the plan for each day with us and his crew. The whole process exceeded our expectations, which is no surprise, as we have used their services for lawn care and landscaping for several years! This project is just one more proof of why we highly recommend locally owned Degree Lawn and Landscape!

2022-04-15Dave and team were absolutely amazing! I’m selling my home and needed the entire perimeter of my house weeded and mulched. This was a huge undertaking as I haven’t paid much attention to my yard In a few years. They also installed sod in some bare areas of my yard. The attention to detail was on point. They worked fast and efficiently. Dave always responded to my text quickly and answered any questions or concerns I had. Not only that but the cost was very reasonable! He made this process so easy and painless. Cant say enough good things about their work at degree lawn and Landscape. Thank you! My home is now ready for sale!

2022-05-09Fantastic. On time. Efficient. Respectful of our family and their team. Visionary and perfectionistic. The landscaping team showed up early and were gone by mid afternoon having transformed our TERRIBLE Beverly Hillbilly yard into a glimmering oasis of fresh plants and mulch. They were even dressed well.David was by far and away the most professional landscaping director/salesman I have ever met. Easy to talk to, down to earth, and extremely knowledgeable. He could probably dole out a textbook amount of details on ALL the plants I could ever think of right off the top of his head. You can tell they are passionate about what they do and take great pride in their work.Looking forward to hiring them for more work as soon as they are available.

2022-03-31I am the Center Director for Kiddie Academy of Mason. Degree handles all of the landscaping and snow removal for both our locations (Mason and West Chester). I can not say enough about how amazing this company is. Jason is professional, respectful, creative and handles every detail for us. He has gone above and beyond to make sure everything is done the way we need and want it to be done. Their pricing is very reasonable and their quotes are always accurate. We have a ton of landscaping at our Mason Location and I never have to worry about anything getting missed. I would recommend this company, especially Jason, to an business, large of small.

2021-11-03This was 2nd yr I’ve ever used Degree Lawn and anytime I have had to call them, they have always been professional, courteous, friendly and very helpful.As for the guys who came out and cut, they always did an excellent job and were quick to give a wave back if you waved to them. They did an excellent job on the lawn and have never had an issue with them.I would highly recommend Degree Lawn & Landscaping if asked. Excellent service from both the office and the lawn mowing side.
