I had a very minor gas leak going into my furnace. I called and they came out same day to take care of it. Very friendly and fast service! I will definitely use them again if the need arises.
We had and electrician out and had the electric meter replaced and our electric bills were still $6-$900 a month for two people. We called Deer and they sent Joe who shockingly knew the breed of my dogs (most call them pit bulls) Joe knew exactly what was wrong with our heat pump. They came back 3 days later with the part(had to be ordered) Joe got us all fixed and now our usage and bills are back to normal. Joe was phenomenal. My wallet my furnace but most of all my mind thanks you all so much.
I got my new HVAC put in Thursday!! I ask in a Facebook group what company was honest and reputable Business ! Deer got the most praise ! (I decided to go with Deer ) Happy I did !!! The salesman was wonderful from the start! Then the team came in John , Andrew,Micha. They did such a professional job . Was very polite young men . They worked hard and did a outstanding job . Even with the storms . They kept working . Also very clean work !! Thank You for doing such a great job .
John and Andrew did a great job! They also noticed the gas water heater went bad and was leaking. In addition , they caulked the unsealed hole that just let bugs come and go as they please solving our bug problem that the exterminator couldn’t.
I am in the process of rehabbing an 1850s farm house and was lucky enough to meet Tom Mackey of Deer Heating and cooling. Tom orchestrated the installation of a completely new HVAC system throughout the house. Not only do I think they did a great job, but other contractors who have gone through the house including, but not limited to, other heating and cooling companies, plumbers, foundation companies, etc. have all commented how great the job looks on the HVAC. Impressing a home owner is one thing, impressing peers and the competition-that is a whole different level.I would recommend Deer without reservation. They do an amazing job!
This company has been great. I have annual maintenance each year for both furnace and central air which they installed. They arrive on time and havent had any problems. Definitely recommend them.

Excellent service!This is my first time working with Deer heating. They did a phenomenal job. From the initial call to finished, smooth transitioned. They installed my furnace. Josh show me how to change my filter and the correct size to buy. He also show me how to change my Carbon monoxid device. Rodney work me through the thermostat. They were very professional and very polite. I would definitely recommend them and work with them in the future.
Update: April 2022We were so impressed with our ductless unit, we decided to install another in a second room. Once more, the service was outstanding. Josh, Briase, Micah, and Andrew from Deer were very professional and worked quickly to get the unit installed. And, again, they were very respectful and courteous!April 2021Our first introduction to Deer was through their Comfort Consultant Tom.He was very professional and informed about the product we wanted. He listened and alleviated any concern that I had, and was able to answer all questions. In addition, it was very helpful that he was able to provide us with a work estimate on the spot. Tom also took the time to meet with us and introduce the install team on the morning of our work order. Josh, John, and Andrew were awesome! Despite pouring rain during most of the installation, they did a absolutely, fantastic job! They were extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of the install, and clearly knew what they were doing. In addition to their outstanding work performance, they were very respectful and courteous. I would 100% recommend the team and Deer Heating and Cooling! And, importantly, I am extremely satisfied with the unit and its performance.

Joe Applegarth was very personable with my 95 year old mother and my sister. He can over to moms house and went straight to work. The coil on my moms AC unit was frozen so they explained to her that she would have to wait until it Thawed out. One day later Joe came out and fixed the problem. My whole family is very pleased. We will always use DEER! Thank you Joe Applegarth.
My husband cut the control line to the a/c doing yard work. Rob was able to repair the damage quickly and efficiently. Up and running again ten minutes after his arrival.
Great service and great installers! It took them a day to install my ac and furnace but it so quiet I can’t even tell it is on anymore. The guys who installed it were friendly and efficient. Their work is amazing! I recommend them to anyone who wants quality and professionalism!
Great to have Kenny come out once our soccer tournament was over and quickly find the problem and give me a temp fix until a new control board arrives in a few days. He had been here before so knew the system.
Came same day I called. Fixed air conditioner on 94 degree day. Very pleasant and did only what was needed done.
Deer installed a condensation line that runs a long way through my attic. They are creative and are able to think outside the box. Zach and Travis were great and very helpful.
Deer Heating and Cooling has been my choice for over ten years! Recently, John and Andrew installed a steam-heat system in our home and the service was phenomenal! They were friendly, on-time, kind/courteous, quick with the install, and knowledgeable on the product (even though its not a typical product they install/carry). On top of that, after the installation, they realized there was a better way to install the humidistat, so they took it apart and re-installed it to make sure we had the best installation, service, and function out of the system. Ive never had someone go that that length to make sure I was happy with service - it was jaw dropping and set the standard! Thank you John, Andrew, and Deer Heating and Cooling!
I had Deer Heating and Cooling install a new full system, gas furnace and full house air conditioner. The sales rep who came by for the quote, was very knowledgeable, and personable. He understood our objectives and helped build a quote that fit our needs and budget. Great work Jason!!The work crew arrived promptly on time, and got to work right away. Work started at 8am and they were finished by around 4pm.From what I know about HVAC work, the crew definitely seemed to know their stuff, proper procedures were followed and I expect the system to last.Workspace was cleaned up tidy when they finished, no complaints there.Its been about a month since the install, and I have no complaints thus far. It works and works well...perhaps a little too well! Id gotten used to having no AC for the last few years, so to have cold again is really something.Thanks, Deer Heating and Cooling!
What a great experience! Jason came out and gave a great quote on replacing my furnace. He asked great questions on what I was looking for and determined the perfect unit based on my families needs. I asked him to quote a new AC unit as well even though it wasn’t necessarily needed. He provided a great price for both. We decided to have both units replaced. The day of install Rod, Slim and David came to the house introduced themselves and got right to work keeping me informed of progress the entire time. They did a quick clean installation and walked me through the final steps. I had asked a question about airflow upstairs and without hesitation Slim got a ladder and climbed in my upstairs article looking for kinks or other obstruction he then went down and while they were performing final test he took the front off the furnace and come to find out the damper handle had broken off and it was stuck closed. They fixed that and what a world of difference it made! I’d had two other well know installers out due to poor airflow upstairs and they had always just tried to sell me another dedicated system for the upstairs. I can’t say enough about the professional way in which these gentlemen conducted themselves. I’d highly recommend Deer for any heating and cooling jobs!
We have been thrilled with Deer. We went from an all electric unit to a natural gas furnace and air conditioner. Jason was very helpful and explained all the steps needed and helped coordinate with the gas company. Our installers of Matt, John and Brice were on time, did awesome work, and went the extra mile with installation. Deer wasn’t pushy with their sale and helped us be comfortable in our investment.
When our central air went out almost 2 weeks ago. Deer came out immediately and assessed the issue. It was determined we needed a new unit. It was going to be allots two weeks before they could come install a new unit. Instead of having to wait it out in a heat wave, they offered to install temporary cooling units to keep us comfortable until they could install the new unit. John contacted us to come out to assess the square footage of our house to determine the type of unit we would need to adequately cooling properly. He was very professional and courteous and he even said he could send someone out as soon as Wednesday, which was just 2 days away, versus that following Saturday which we were originally told. Matt and Travis came out and explained the process to my husband and got to work. They were very professional, friendly and hard working! They showed us how to operate our new digital thermostat and asked if we had any questions. They said it would likely be 4 or so hours of labor, but they showed up a half an hour early and finished in just a couple hours. I can’t say enough good things about this company and the people they employ. We had nothing but positive experiences with them. Highly recommend!
Tom is awesome and was so easy to work with. They replaced my entire system in a day. It has completely changed the comfort level in the house. I was shocked at the difference. Josh M. (Slim), Drew and Micah, busted there butts all day and got it done! Those three never stopped and did a great job, very professional! Highly recommend!
I had Tom come out and give me a quote to install a new furnace and AC in our home which previously didnt have AC. I ended up getting a smart thermostat, new air return ducting, and upgraded allergen air filtering, in addition to the furnace and AC. Tom added in duct cleaning for free.Because of scheduling conflicts Tom had to contract out the duct cleaners. They were on time and professional.When it came to the actual install Slim and Rodney were on time, friendly, and professional. They were at my home for 9 hours for the install. It was a pretty big job, having to run new lines, electrical, and ducting. They took time to show me their work and telling me the basics of the new thermostat.Overall Im happy with the work preformed, and everyone Deer sent out was on time and friendly.Price was fair, I had gotten 5 quotes before going with Deer. They were not the cheapest option. But they were close to my lowest quote but were far more professional and had options that some companies wanted to charge significantly more for.
My husband and I had a Mercedes mini one split installed in our cape code style home. Tom came out for an assessment, scheduled me for installment and walked me through the requirements and estimated cost. A few days later I received a detailed invoice with unit model choices and pricing. They are reasonably priced for the excellent quality of work. Slim, Rodney and Eli installed our unit within 5 hours. They were professional and hard working. Wore shoe booties inside the home and cleaned up after themselves, vacuuming and sweeping the floors, when they finished. They also took the time to walk me through all they had done. What I paid for that day is what I was quoted, no extra hidden charges. Received a one year warranty from Deer for installation services and unit parts. Would highly recommend and plan to use them for any future A/C and heating needs!
I just want to say a huge thank you to Deer Heating and Cooling! They are a class act! They came out on Friday to give me an estimate, we agreed at like 5pm on Friday evening. They scheduled me on Tuesday morning for Wednesday and ended up having a cancellation and getting me in Tuesday. I had air in my house within 2 business days from us saying yes. So let me tell you about the salesman, Tom. When talking to him I felt like I was talking to a friend and he was helping me make the best decision for my house and family. He was very through and even told me about an attic fan that I didn’t even know I had. Then there are the installers, Slim and Rodney, they where very professional and they were very knowledgeable. This business is a class act! I would definitely recommend them!!

I moved into a new house. After being there for 2 days, I noticed that the air conditioning was not cooling. I called 5 -6 people to come and inspect what was wrong and give me a quote to fix. It appears that the air conditioner had been leaking freon for over one year. Tom Mackey came to my house and gave me a quote to replace the unit. It was by far, the lowest quote I received. He was honest with me and did not try to sell me anything I didnt need. Slim and Mike installed my new unit. They were right on time in the morning, they were timely in installing the new unit. They explained how to use the new digital Thermostat. I was very happy with their service.

I was thrilled with the service we received at Deer Heating and Cooling. After scheduling with another vendor when our heat was out during the snowstorm and they canceled, we were given Deers information from a family member. A technician, Tom, was out within an hour of my call and was able to offer a comparable unit for less and the best part was they were out to start the next morning at 9 a.m. in a snowstorm. Andrew F., John and David were lovely and did an amazing job. Highly recommend.

Back in August 2021 after being referred by a friend I called for an estimate & they showed up the next day & gave me an estimate. 2 wks later they replaced my 14 yr old terrible Bryant A/C & furnace with a new RUDD system & a new thermostat . Their price was fair & they were very professional. It was going to be a 2 wk wait until they could get me on schedule so in the meantime they went went above & beyond & fixed the A/C so we wouldnt be in the heat for 2 wks. That REALLY impressed me & sealed the deal. I knew I was going to go with them at that point. My new systems ran great & actually cools & heats the entire house, all 3 floors. My other unit wasnt good at touching all floors. Im referring all of my friends to them. Im a lifetime customer now.

John and Andrew showed up right on schedule to install a new heat pump, air handler, and thermostat. The installation was flawless and handled in a very courteous and professional manner. When the job was complete they removed all traces of the old system and stayed around to clean my cold air return and help me program my new thermostat. We had our AC stop working in the heat of the summer. It ended up needing to be replaced. They had great pricing and offered quality systems. 6 months in and we are very happy!
Slim and his crew did a heck of a job installing our new gas furnace and AC unit. Our 17 year old unit was failing and with the Arctic blast coming, we wanted to get one installed sooner rather than later. They installed the gas line and got the new unit installed quickly. They were very professional did a great job. I would highly recommend them.
Excellent service and support. Zach was very competent in diagnosing and explaining issue with old furnace and did not pressure us at all to replace. We made the decision to replace due to the age of old furnace although Deer was willing to repair old. Josh, David, and Andrew arrived on time the day of the install and were very professional and took all the Covid precautions to keep us safe in our home. They were knowledgeable and explained in detail the system. Since the install Deer has provided excellent technical support! Extremely happy we called Deer!

Slim and Micah were our techs. They did a awesome job. They explained everything that they did. and they replace everything with new parts. AC lines, Thermostat and power outlet. They explained we didnt need the top of line and actually sold us the model that we needed.
It was time to replace my heating and cooling system. The salesperson evaluated my needs presented several options, made recommendations and presented my with a fair estimate of the job. The day of installation the technicians John and Andrew, were on time, respectful of my home, wore their masks, and explained what they were going to do. They worked diligently and completed the job earlier than the estimated time. John reviewed everything they had done and the warranty information. I would recommend Deer Heating and Cooling, they correspond well with phone and email, all employees are knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. A++
First my mother’s part was under warranty… then it wasn’t and the estimate went to $2k for coil repair even with the 5% senior discount which wasn’t even told about until I asked… Thought a little expensive… next quote was $1k and now my mom has air at half the price!I noticed they said they didn’t install the original equipment… not true. They did install the equipment. They “sold” it to my mother. Also the exact part # was used in the replacement, not a cheaper part. They know what they did… and are trying to cast blame.
Deer Heating and Cooling installed a new A/C unit and humidifier for me and did a great job. I shopped around and got several quotes and they were the cheapest. The salesman didnt try to sell me on a bunch of things I didnt ask for like other salesmen had. They offered multiple brands of A/C units which was a plus. Highly recommend!
Weve been depending on Deere to take care of our furnace for more than 20 years. They installed our furnace and we usually have them out once a year to check it out and make sure its running properly. Last week we got a new programmable digital thermostat installed for just $70. This included everything! It covered the cost of the new thermostat as well as installation. We needed a new thermostat and the Deere representative found this great deal for us from our local power company.
I have used Deer heating & Cooling exclusively since 2015. They have never failed to fix any problem with my fairly complex heating system, or my A/C system. A few times, a Deer technician has stopped by to look at problems that turned out to be simple, and they never even charged me for the service call. Even when I have paid for larger repairs or regular maintenance, I have always felt the charges were reasonable. It is difficult to find competent service at reasonable prices. Deer tops the list in being able to provide both. I especially appreciate technician Zachs work.

When Tom came to the house to do the consult, he was very professional and made the process of deciding which company to choose very easy. Then when Josh and Andrew came to install the new heating and air system, they were very professional and friendly. Josh explained the process and then ensured I understood what they had done and how the system worked. Josh and Andrew left the house clean. I was very impressed with Josh and Andrew and their professionalism and level of expertise. Going with Deer Heating and Cooling was the best decision we made and looking forward to many years of them providing our heating and cooling needs.
I gave 2 stars but the first visit they were very quick and timely however the following visit they did not complete everything they were supposed to and said they would have to have another person come out to give an estimate on that cost because it was not on the initial ppw that was put in. I called because my upstairs has barely any ac coming through the vents and it was very hot upstairs. They suggested the outside unit needed cleaned and to get an estimate on attic fan(s) to pull out some of the heat and possible fill the refrigerant if needed. They cleaned the unit and said the coil didnt look good and would need replaced soon and filled the coolant. So 2 service calls later and the issue is still present with no resolution and I am not about to pay them to come out again and not fix the problem. There customer service sucks and they did not fix the issue- my ac still works exactly the same as it did a few hundred dollars ago....
I was having problems with a thermostat so I went and bought a new thermostat and realized that it was very different than my previous and I was having some wiring and programming issues while installing it. I called them to come out to install it for me, they had a repairman call me on the phone walk me through it helping me get my heat and air running again without making a service call and without charging me a dime. This is a great company they really care about their customers. the closing remarks were. We are happy to help be sure to call is when you need us....I love that
Very professional, showed up early, had some good jokes, even squeezed me in on a Saturday when no one else could. Walked me through all functions on my new unit. Brought their own tarps ensuring my house didnt get dirty. Would recommend Deer to anyone asking. Tom, Rodney, and Andrew were definitlry top notch!
We recently went through the process of getting a new AC unit and attic insulation. I was pleased from start to finish with DEER. Tom came out to complete quote. He was thorough, explained things and assessed what our needs were. He didn’t try to sell us the most expensive unit which was appreciated. I had another quote done and the other company spent about half the time and their quote was overpriced and they did not do the insulation. On install day Travis and Rod were a pleasure to work with. They showed up promptly and explained the process to me. Their communication and customer service was outstanding. When the job was done they had cleaned everything up you would hardly know they were there. I am pleased with the new AC unit and new insulation.

We had to have this company out to repair the air conditioning at the house we are at. When the tech repaired the air conditioner he said it also had an electrical issue and they couldn’t repair it that night. They wanted to charge for an incomplete diagnosis and couldn’t tell me when they could come back, but I was welcome to have someone else come out and diagnose it sooner (and pay the other company as well). We got them set up to come out 2 days after the initial visit and when the tech came out we were told it was too hot for him to work on it in the attic and they shouldn’t have scheduled it for the afternoon (they already knew from the initial visit it was in the attic).My fiancé called and talked to a receptionist who was quite rude and asked for a manager and was told the owner was who we would have to talk to. The next day someone who identified himself as the owner called (if this guy owns a business he is the worst customer service person in history and completely sucks as a businessman) and I tried to discuss what was going on. He was rude and constantly tried to talk over me without listening (again horrible customer service) and he also told me he would get someone out sometime that day. When I asked about what time he couldn’t give a time. I explained that if they came out in the afternoon again that they wouldn’t be able to complete the repair again. He said he didn’t know what time they would come by. He then rudely said that he would refund the diagnosis and that they weren’t the company for us (he was completely right about that). I have worked in customer service for my entire life and I know how hard it can be to be hit by rude customers and I am always courteous when I deal with company’s or their employees. It was amazing to see the rude treatment and a business owner that sucked as badly as this guy does! My advice is to go with anyone other than this company!
We have done a lot of research to get the right central HVAC system for our newly purchased cabin loft house. We received quotes for both regular central HVAC system and ductless HVAC system from five HVAC companies. Deer Heating and Cooling gave us the best brand with the best price. The sales manager was very patient with us. Four quotes for four different heads combination. The day of install the sales manager was onsite to make sure the installers did everything we wanted. The installers were very friendly and efficient. The job was well done and the site was cleaned up. Our Mitsubishi mini-split HVAC system is working perfectly! Thank you!

We had Deer come out to give us an estimate for Ac/furnace replacement. The person that came out was very friendly and transparent. The estimate was affordable and seemed to be a great value. We ended up going with another company because the product fit our needs slightly better. However Id still highly recommend Deer Heating and Cooling.

I called Deer based on a referral from my long time HVAC technician that was unable to schedule an appointment for two weeks. Deer came out and charged me $89.00 to tell me I had the wrong filter in my furnace. The owner was argumentative when I felt the service price was ridiculous for 30 minutes and nothing was wrong. I will NEVER use this company again. Poor customer service especially when you’re a referral. The comments of being left without heat were utterly ridiculous because my heat was working just fine and my house was warm. The intermittent cycles was the reason for the call. Please get your facts straight before responding. My long time HVAC technician would never have left me in the middle of winter without heat. I don’t appreciate you unprofessional approach to a review that represents your company.

Zach their Service Tech called to let me know when he was coming. Arrived on time. I showed him show ed what thermostat did. He checked thermostat and diagnosed problem. I have had them work on our previous home and they were fast and professional. However a few years later (last week)I sent a service request on their website and it has not been answered a week later. I wrote a service request on the website so I could explain our issue easier with text rather than try to explain it over the phone. Dont have a service request online if you arent going to read them!
I was able to speak to a real person to schedule an inspection of my HVAC and a technician (Zach) was here within two days. He extremely polite and courteous in my home. There were some issues found with the furnace and he was polite about them, giving me several options to fix without feeling upsold or pressure about the issues. Would recommend!
The gentleman, Kenny, was very nice. There was no issue with him. However, we were quoted $886.00 by AJ (I think that was his name) when he first came out 6 weeks ago. When all was said and done, our bill was over $1200. Something to do with freon. We were not informed there was a chance our bill could be even higher than $886. I am not happy right now. I was furloughed for quite a while this year from my job, I was lucky to have the original quoted price. I cannot say I will call them again for any heating issues. The only reason we used them was that our original heating and air gentleman retired and sold his business to Deer. 😞

The technicians were VERY professional and courteous. They worked quickly to install our ductless heating and air conditioning unit. They cleaned up as they were going to ensure no debris or trash blew away and they were very informed when we asked questions on how things worked. After getting quotes from three HVAC businesses, I had Deer Heating and Cooling replace my 16-year-old furnace that was beyond cost effective repair with a Ruud U96V furnace, and AC. Tom from Deer Heating and Cooling provided my quote. He has many years of HVAC installation experience and was very knowledgeable. He was straight forward, did not try to sell me more than I needed, and patiently answered my many questions. He also did not bad mouth his competitors. I felt confident that I could trust him and the installation team. My new furnace was installed by Slim and Rod. They showed up at the scheduled time. They introduced themselves, then we reviewed the work order. They answered my questions and went straight to work. They put drop cloths down to protect my floors and were careful not to damage my floors and walls. These two guys are hard workers, did quality work with a keen eye for detail. The job took about 7 or 8 hours. After finishing they showed me how the EcoNet thermostat worked and provided a little education on the furnace. In the few hours this furnace has been in use, I have noticed it runs very quietly. I am pleased with my Ruud furnace and with the great installation Slim and Rod did for me.
I had a great experience with Deer. The technician, Zach, was very courteous and knowledgeable. He correctly diagnosed the problem on my American Standard A/C as a stalled compressor. He installed a more powerful start-up capacitor, and that solved the problem. He did warn me that the compressor is probably starting to wear out and may need replaced soon. But for a total of $269, my A/C is working great!It was so refreshing to deal with a company that is genuinely interested in fixing my current system, instead of up-selling an entirely new one. I called another contractor before Deer, and they had little interest in fixing my system. That was made clear when a salesperson arrived along with the technician, before they even looked for the problem! After they tried to charge me $400/lb for R-22, I sent them on their way.Ill be calling Deer again when the compressor does eventually quit.

Had both my air conditioning unit and furnace replaced by Deer Heating and Cooling. My house was built in the early 2000s and had PVC water pipes in the same cramped closet space where my furnace was situated. John and Rod were able to remove the old hardware and install the new unit in one single day, all without causing damage to the nearby pipes. They also helped me install my Google Nest thermostat appliance while they were there. Id recommend for anybody who may be thinking about getting work done for their heating and air conditioning systems to give them a call.
Was having issues with my furnace. Called and they were able to fit me in and figure it out that day! Also explained my furnace to me a little better, so I knew how it worked. Made me feel more comfortable with it. Great company! Will be calling them next time I have any issues.
The serviceman did a very quick check of the air conditioner and the coolant pressures and confirmed the equipment was working fine. We used the air conditioner last night and today and have had no problems.

After a terrible experience with Stevenson Service Experts, I discovered Deer Heating and Cooling. With Stevensons, they sent random technicians out to my house on 8 different occasions over the course of a few months before they figured out the cause of my heating issue. With Stevensons, they correctly diagnosed the system on the first visit and had everything replaced and back up and running the following morning! Some of the Stevensons technicians were very unprofessional with their work and others were completely dishonest. The folks at Deer I have talked to were very personable and their work was professional. After talking with a few different neighbors who have been here longer than me, they all have eventually come to only trust Deer for their HVAC systems. I wish I wouldve known sooner!

My moms (who is 80 and on a fixed income) AC unit stopped working a month ago and we need to get it fixed with the hot weather approaching. The first company that came out said she needed to replace the entire unit costing thousands of dollars and I was very skeptical of their assessment. I then called a second company that came out and did a detailed inspection and found that the unit was ok but that an expansion valve had failed and needed to be replaced, they said it would cost over $1100.00. After looking online at cost estimates that still seemed very high so after calling around to a few places Deer Heating gave me an estimate of just $600 and once they got the part in came out and did the work, the AC now works great and the actual cost came in at $570, $30 less than their estimate. I cant thank them enough and Im sure my mom cant either.
We are very glad we chose Deer to install our new HVAC system in 2018. They are professional and solved the problem of our 2nd floor being too hot in both summer and winter. We have since had them service our system regularly twice a year and are always pleased with their knowledge and courteousness. We recommend them to anyone who needs help with their HVAC.

Deer Heating and Cooling visited twice to get the right measurements after I decided to add a mini split in addition to the house duct system They were always prompt, professional, and courteous. They cleaned up well after doing the installation and the system is working great.

Called on a cold Wednesday afternoon and technician arrived on scheduled, found the issue, fixed it, and charged a fair price. I always appreciate the folks who answer the phone. They are capable, responsive, and collect all of the necessary information. In this case, they called again and confirmed the address just to be sure. I really appreciated the double check.
The service person was very personable. He also had a mask on when he came to the door. He came in, got right to work, checked out the system, took payment and was on his way. This met all my expectations and I will be sure to call Deer again.
I called around on Friday July 3 To several places . I received several quotes . It was going to cost me a lot more to hire other company’s to come out on the 4th of July .some companies weren’t able to accommodate me until the following Monday . Deer heating and cooling came out on July 4th with no problem and didn’t charge me an arm and leg. I was very pleased with the service . Den eye was very professional and efficient. He was able to solve the problem with my AC and did quality check of the entire device . I would recommend them !

Today when the service man hauled the air duct cleaning machine up and down our basement stairs he tore up our stairs. No they were not in wonderful shape but now there is a gap and 7 areas with chunks of wood missing. They repaired 1 stair where there was a large hole but I will still need to repair the areas of missing wood for the safety of my children and dog. A $50 discount is not enough of a reimbursement for the damages. In the future when someone schedules air duct cleaning they really should mention that they will be hauling a 250 pound machine into the house. I will never use again or refer them to anyone.

My wife and I had a ductless mini-split system installed today and the job went very well. From the very beginning when I called for a quote, Jason came out within a couple days and was on time and was very professional and knowledgeable about the process and equipment. Their total price was almost $1,000 less than another company for the EXACT same model. Total installed cost was about $5,100 for an 18,000 BTU Mitsubishi system including all 220V electrical work and permitting. The install was scheduled to occur 2 weeks after accepting their offer (which I feel was more than reasonable). The installation crew (Josh and William) arrived on time and was very courteous and professional during the entire install answering all my questions. They put up with my supervision and they fully explained the operation and maintenance of the unit and made sure everything was cleaned up to my satisfaction. The Mitsubishi system is extremely quiet (inside and outside) to the point you might wonder if it is running. I would recommend Deer Heating and Cooling and will be calling them for all my HVAC needs.

I had not used DEER before, but I saw a positive mention on NextDoor site. When my furnace stopped working, I called 2 HVAC companies I had used before, but they couldn’t send someone until the following week. I called DEER and they sent a technician to my home the next day. The problem was minor and quickly resolved. I will definitely use DEER again and will recommend them to my friends.

Furnace went out over-night Sunday. Exhaust fan assembly issue. Called them at 8:45 AM next morning and tech was here by 9:30AM. Diagnosed problem and repaired furnace within an hour and a half. Replaced exhaust fan assembly and we have heat again! Excellent service as always.

Called late Monday afternoon for a non emergency AC repair they were at house at 1 pm next day. Fixed problem and also pointed out a motor that is near end of life, they made a note to order a new one and bring it during fall service.

Great experience with them in the past with an install, but I waited around until 2 (for a 9:00-1:00) scheduled window and they didn’t even call until 3 (when I couldn’t be at the property). Again, they do good work, but I would call to double check to make sure they are coming as scheduled.

Slim and Alex installed a new system for us A few weeks ago and it went great. They were very efficient. I was very happy with how the company helped work us in so fast when our heater went out. 2021-10-02After dealing with HVAC companies chosen by our home warranty we dropped the warranty companies and called Deer. From the initial phone call to final installation, we found Deer to be professional and quality minded. Jason, our salesman, was low-pressure, well mannered and offered us options to save money but without compromising comfort. Our install team of Micah and Josh delivered well. Their quality of work, attention to detail and knowledge shown throughout the install. Both were courteous and patient as I supervised and asked questions. I would save yourself some frustration and money, call Deer. Could you save a few bucks by going elsewhere, maybe, but can you really afford to? Whats quality and professionalism worth to you? It wasnt worth the time and money lost to the other guys we dealt with!

2022-06-11Im leaving this review for my parents who recently had a new Central Air unit installed. They are so thankful for the service they received. I was there when the techs were installing it and they were so friendly and professional. They completed their install in just a couple of hours. Had everything done and wrapped up so efficiently. Left nothing behind to clean up. My parents and I highly recommend them for your next install or repair. My parents are customers for life as they say. I thank you for taking such good care of my parents.

2022-03-02We recently moved into a new home and knew we needed to replace our aging propane furnace. We got a few different estimates from companies in the Dayton area, but we immediately felt most comfortable with Deer. Our Sales Representative, Tom, walked us through our options while taking care to balance our concerns about propane prices, increased efficiency, and cost. His extensive experience as a technician and installer prior to his role in sales made us feel confident in his knowledge and recommendations. He didnt try to upsell us on anything that wouldnt get us our bang for our buck, nor did he give us any cheap options that wouldnt work effectively for our home or didnt align with our priorities. In the end, the estimate Deer gave us was more affordable than the competition anyway. When we selected Deer, Tom even adjusted their schedule to get us in as soon as possible given that our old furnace was unsafe to use.On the day of the installation, John, Andrew and Micah showed up early and worked efficiently. They were very professional and courteous throughout the entire process. When they were finished, I was shown exactly how the system works, walked through how to setup the thermostat, and all my questions were addressed.Were very happy with our new system and highly recommend Deer!

2022-07-22Deer is fantastic! Had them out 2 years ago to look at my 25-year-old HVAC system and they said it was in good shape and it will run well until it dies so didnt try to sell me something I didnt need! Two evenings ago noticed my condenser fan was not spinning and called them first thing the next morning and they were out at 4:00 in the afternoon that day and replaced a part for very little money and had us back up and running in less than 24 hours! Tech was very nice and competent and did a great job! Again, Deer is a fantastic company and definitely one of the best out there

2021-12-03This company went above and beyond for me once again. Starting with Deer’s consultant, Tom, who found me a sooner appointment than initially given so I’d have the repair done before I left out of town. Then, John and Casey were my technicians that did the installation. Their professionalism and efficiency was impeccable. They communicated the entire process to me as well as answered any and all questions I had during and/or after. I 100% recommend them for any heating/cooling needs.
