The front desk ladies were kind and helpful, but the overall cleanliness of the entire facility was lacking. I had to clean the bathroom myself to feel comfortable using it and would not use the shower at all. Luckily I was just passing through for one night. So unfortunate that location and demand drives the prices way too high for the actual product received.
I do recommend this place because the staff is friendly, has decent swimming pool and hot tub, the showers are OK. The breakfast is good, they did lie because they said the pool was heated and it was nowhere near heated. And the bottom of the tub was stained. The person working there gave us plenty of towels and pillows. Not many places to eat nearby, but 30 minutes away from Cedar Point. If your looking for a place to stay and want to go to a hotel near Cedar Point. This would be the best bargain for your buck.
If I could leave 0 stars I would.. my room was disgusting. Left over food behind the dressers. The tops of the dressers were sticky from whatever was leftover. I woke up after an hour of sleeping at about midnight itching terribly all over my body. I inspected my bed and there were fully grown bed bugs on my pillow and under the mattress. I notified the front desk and they offered me another room.... really? The whole hotel is infested. I left and decided to drive the last 5 hours of my road trip home feeling itchy and irritated. They still charged me for my room and have not been reimbursed.
Horrible place to stay. Attached are pictures of their suite. There were cigarette holes in the blankets, there was almost no lighting in the main room. There was disgusting water damage above the bed, and damage in the bathroom ceiling, flaking off onto the floor. Not to mention the 1900s microwave and the old lock on the front door, they couldnt even remove that and paint. And they charged $200 for this. They should be ashamed!
Positive: Shower curtain loose, mildew on the bathroom ceiling, bathroom fan didnt spin up to speed. Pillows were terrible. Mildew smell. Mattress was decent. Negative: Shower curtain loose, mildew on the bathroom ceiling, bathroom fan didnt spin up to speed. Pillows were terrible. Mildew smell. Mattress was decent.
Room was outdated and dirty. Upon pulling back the sheets we realized our sheets where not changed from the previous guest had to go ask for new sheets. Crumbs all over the floor no one vacuumed. Bathroom sink did not drain at all. Microwave was left dirty and below the microwave was a bag of moldy pita chips and bread. Overall for a stay the place is not clean the staff was very nice but the place just isn’t clean...
Room was not very clean. Place hadnt been vacuum in a while. Cigarette burns on the sheets and on blankets. Toilet paper roll was old and used . Towels were also very tiny. The room had a not touched since 90s feel to it. I would not recommend you stay here. Only positive thing was staff was friendly. $170 for one night not worth it!
An overpriced hotel. It’s in need of a rehab. My room smelled of smoke, it’s all very worn. The breakfast was nice. ( microwaveable Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches) plus the normal continental fare. Plenty of parking. Lots of dudes with trucks and boats. Lots of people smoking weed. It’s ok, just not worth what they charge $170
Th service at the front desk was extremely nice and amazing but the clean less In the room was alright I found a bowl and a cart under the red flaps. The fridge almost fell out the cabinet. The spa and pool was nice gym was little but still okay if your looking for a nice hotel don’t stay here.
Let me begin by saying I don’t leave negative reviews. As a rule, I only review places that are doing good work because so often it’s easy to bypass taking the time to praise and celebrate good experiences. But this hotel caused me to make an exception to help the next person. This is not a place you should spend any money, or time at. The list of issues with this hotel is long. Here is a quick run down: the cigarette odor permeates the entire place, the pool and hot tub were so murky you can’t see the bottom, the bathroom had a visibly dirty floor, bathtub and countertops. We were given 3 towels, but needed a fourth and were told they had no towels the night we checked in as well as the next morning. The towel problem became secondary when we realized there was no hot water. The breakfast was extremely sad, but it was provided so that’s where the one star came from. When walking through the halls you could literally hear all of the conversations inside the rooms you were passing, the Wifi also didn’t connect. If you have any choice…stay somewhere else.
The pictures make this place look so nice. But the pictures are the only nice thing about this place. Its very small. We reserved a room for 2 adults and 3 children and they shoved us in a tiny room with 2 tiny beds. Then brought us a dirty hideaway bed. Next time we will be staying somewhere else.
Our room keys didnt really work well to open the door. When we opened the door we were welcomed with a mildew smell and the beds had a cold wet feel to them. There was cobwebs under the table and corner of walls (not the ceiling, corner of the walls) The bathroom had black mold on the ceiling. The tub had hair in it.When we opened the refrigerator there was an open old bottle of pop still in there. When we left we were chased out of the hotel by a big dog.
I’ve debated over the past few weeks whether to write a review or not, but people have to know the lack of sanitation, conditions, and cleanliness of this business. I stayed here the night of June 13,2021 for only a single night. Reception area was decent as most budget hotels are. But the hallways leading to the room, common areas, and the rooms themselves were disgusting and subpar even for this type of hotel. Spider webs and bugs everywhere. The only place we didn’t find insects was luckily the bed, though every space in the room felt uncleaned and littered with dust, buildup, rust, and an overall unpleasant feeling. I would never stay in this particular hotel again, nor do I recommend anyone else stay here.
Positive: Close to a major highway. The bed was pretty comfortable. Negative: No elevator. My wife is disabled and the hotel would not put us on the ground floor even though there were rooms available. Trucks towing boats were allowed to park across multiple parking places nearest the doors.
The bed was extremely hard. The bathroom was dirty and had rust stains. The equipment in the work out room didnt work. The pool didnt look clean and the jacuzzi didnt work. The bedsheets were dirty and the bathroom wasnt clean. However the staff was nice and accommodated us for the issues with a different room.
They gave me a smoking room. I gagged as soon as I walked thru the door. The maid went by we discussed it. She apologized showed me a room. You could still smell smoke but wasnt as bad. We walked down to the indoor pool. Omg youd about pass out. The didnt have any ventilation..it was HOT. They did give us a refund & we went on our way. I wouldnt recommend it!
No hot water, bedside lights didnt work, the plug by the bed didnt work so we couldnt charge our phones, no alarm clock or clock of any kind, went down to breakfast before 8:30 and nothing left. Overall, the stay was pretty bad. Luckily, only there for 2 days. They have some nerve charging $93 per night. Will never stay there again and will spread the word. This was in Lincoln, AL.
Management is extremely predatory. I’ve been in hospitality industry for many years (Hilton properties, Holiday Inn,etc) and can tell you that they are NOT worth staying at, the way they treat their guests you’re better off elsewhere. Place is outdated and gross. Falsely advertise their amenities and breakfast is disgusting.
Ashley is a doll. The building looks like it thrived in the nineties. It seems to be on its way out, now. Low-power air conditioners. Please get rid of the white light bulbs; For God’s sake - when did you think it was a good idea to put white light bulbs in a living space.
Our room was disgusting. Dirty towels left in our room from previous guests hanging up on curtain. Exposed cable wires. When asked about the condition of room there excuse was it is heavily smoked in. Im a smoker there is no way they have wiped nothing down in 10+ years.
Lady at the dront desk was very rude! I made my reservation with booking.com and she tells me your not on my computer so i cant help you had to have booking.com call. Stayed 3 nights housekeeping never cleaned the roon once pool was supposed to be heated was very cold, window was broken in the indoor pool area. Horrible stay will not be back!! Also you could smell pot being smoked all over the motel!
This by far is the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in and it cost $170 a night the night my family and I stayed. The floor had all different kinds of dead/alive bugs on it, animal food still on the floor, the lights next to the bed didnt work and the bathroom was disgusting! We will never be going back and they need to hire some better cleaners.
This hotel is too expensive for what you get. The hotel desk staff is great but the rooms are old and the bathrooms are dirty. I think they need new cleaning staff, and new towels and linen. Our tub was dirty and it was late at night so the guy working the ring desk came up to wipe it down. It was then when we find out they only have well water. That has so many minerals and etc you need to keep up in refinishing the surfaces. The bed was comfy enough. The pool looked murky and the hot tub was not working.Breakfast was what you would expect from a cheaper place, waffles, powder eggs, sausage (which I don’t eat).Overall the hotel needs some TLC it has the potential to be very nice.
I guess I found out using Wyndham rewards is not a reward at all. This stays in its so old I wish I had taken pictures. Requested a non-smoking ABA room oh we got it but full of smoke! I was told everybody smokes I wanted to ask why they arent fined like in the upper class quote hotel s no I would not recommend this at all rusty tub ready for sticky furniture.
At this high rate for a room , I would expect better things for this place. No light bulb in lamp, 1 lamp flickering, ice machine broken , no ice bucket in room. Called front desk and their response was very fast. Overpriced but it is the weekend and cedar point is not far away
Not super impressed. Cleanliness of the room was mediocre at best. There was a brown stain in the bath tub, and the water had a foul odor. Hot tub was a joke, as it was at most, warm. And the jets didnt work. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Only reason I gave 2 stars is because the staff was super friendly probably wouldnt stay here again.
Front desk staff were super friendly however the hotel needs MAJOR updating! Carpet needed cleaned and bathroom really showed that the hotel has well water. Tub was old and yellowish as were the towels. Hallways and rooms did not smell clean and fresh. We will not be staying here again.
My friends and I stayed here because it was for less than 24 hours and they allowed my large dog. Upon arriving, no staff member could be found so I had to search for someone to check in. The room, a suite, was very spacious, clean, but very outdated. Hot water took forever to reach our room, luckily we didnt need to shower. The first set of key cards didnt work, only 1 of the second set worked. Breakfast wasnt too bad, basically what youd expect from a hotel in this area and of this size. All in all, I would stay there again out of convenience and only if it were for an overnight stay.
Where to start....the ladies working the front desk are extremely nice. But then comes the room, there was toothpaste on the bathroom wall very noticeable, it was blue. The tub was not clean, neither was one of the washclothes, and the bathroom floor was dirty under the sink. For the price, $81 a night I expect a much cleaner room!
First I was lied too about check in times... second, after being in the heat all day, bringing in our luggage, we were pushed aside by a rude person trying to get a few beers and a small bottle of liquor 😤 after we were in line... second... the bed was horrible stiff, only 2 lights worked in the room... 3rd... the air is controlled by them, absolutely rediculous!!... and lastly... no ice machine on top, carpet was sticky walking on it and everything looked like it was from 1980s... prices were good though 🙄 you get what you buy
What was good? The staff was friendly and accommodating. What was bad? Well...everything else (moldy bathrooms, tub/toilet/sink clogged, breakfast was mediocre, hot tub jets did not work, towels are TINY and should probably be retired, the front desk was out of shampoo and conditioner, and the whole place smelled old). Oh, and I guess the location was pretty convenient. I cared much less about that than I did the “creature comforts.” Next time I will probably drive farther and pony up for a nicer room. 🤷🏻♀️
Sadly, the $160/night felt too expensive considering the condition of the room and the blaise response of the front desk when we checked out. I will be submitting a more detailed description on their website. The maintenance cleaning could not be occurring. The yellow/brown toilet stains that can build up over several days were clearly visible when we got to the room. I am sure they have a tougher time keeping it clean looking due to the cloudy(sulphur?) water that fills the toilet. The tub had not been cleaned(hair)and the anti slip decal hadnt seen bleach in a while. Hair behind the toilet. Dirty windows(streaks and fingerprints) were clearly seen in the morning. Collected dust on any edge I checked(pictures, window ledge, sink). We have cleaned professionally and it looks like only the linens were changed with paper products and towels restocked.
Positive: It¿s convenience and price are the only things it has going for it Negative: Everything else, starting with cleanliness. I don¿t ask for much but I do ask the sheets don¿t have someone else¿s hair on them and the towels be clean and not smudged with makeup.
The hotel staff was the only good thing about the hotel. The room wasnt clean. There was pubic hairs in the tub and on the floor in the bathroom. We only had two towels for 3 people. The tub faucet did not work correctly, the tub and shower both would turn on. The breakfast was very small. The hot tub jets had less pressure than sprinkler. The pool was freezing. The air/heat worked when it wanted. And when it did work it was freezing, when we tried the heat out it smelled like something was on fire. Oh and we found out as we were leaving that we had been staying in a mouldy room. When opened the curtains as we were leaving I saw it. I told them about all the problems and I was offered and apology but I will be calling a higher up. I really should not have paid full price for that.
Room was clean, bed was comfy. They are pet friendly and have an amazing green area for your furbabies. Ladies at front desk and breakfast room were super super friendly :) Breakfast was better than most Days Inn. The facilities have lots of potential and if remodeled, this hotel would be amazing. Only bad thing was the green nasty water of the swimming pool... (The corridors are a bit creepy and reminded me of The Shining. Lol!)
The hotel room was ok. The toilet and tub were rusted out and it just looked terrible. My husband called to complain and the front desk basically said that theyd how theyre water is and it was nothing that they could do. They changed our room early the next morning and the toilet in that room was worse than what we had but the tub was a lil better. My husband asked for their cleaning supplies so that he could clean the bathroom himself and they actually provided him with multi purpose cleaner. The food looked bad so we didnt partake in the free breakfast. I will NEVER book there again and I will NEVER ever anyone to that hotel.
The Staff was very friendly and polite, The room was an issue, Black Mold in the bathroom, the room itself had a funky smell that was so off putting I purchased an air freshener. Hot tube was not working, and I was charged 2 separate fees for my stay ,I booked 2 weeks in advance plus Im an award member..So not sure what was up with 2 different charges for one room on a Friday/Saturday...
Price was decent and bed was fairly comfortable. Musty smell in the hallways. We were sent to a room that had not been cleaned. Several doors in the hallway were open ajar. Appeared to be rooms that had not been cleaned. It was a bit creepy. Definitely needs some updating and a serious deep cleaning. Not up to my experience with Wyndham standards.
Honestly my worst experience, they cant keep up with house keeping. There was food that had ants on it behind the night stand. Looks like they dont care about cleanliness. Paid 339.00 for two nights. I did get a refund for one night. I do not recommend this place. You would have better luck with a hole in the wall type of motel/hotel.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. My family’s stay was booked via USAA When we arrived this facility refused to give us our reserved room. A room that was already paid for in advance. The woman at the front desk said she didn’t have my room available. Which was confirmed to be a lie. When we finally got to the bottom of everything. The hostess said she did not want any nasty foreigners staying in her hotel, and would rather refund my money. I’m a natural born American native. These people are undignified, rude and of poor moral character. No persons should ever be treated that way. Not only are they discriminatory but they have zero respect or gratitude toward military families.
The room still had items in it left behind from the previous guest. The sheets had crumbs all over (looked like someone crumbled a whole muffin over the bed). The a/c unit in my room did not work. I also killed at LEAST 12 spiders. The toilet would not flush properly and the shower looked as though the bottom was NEVER touched with any cleaning solution. Very dissatisfied with the quality considering what I paid for it.
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I got in very late around 1:00am & I was exhausted. There was no elevator so I had to lug everything up the stairs. I had to get my key remade three times before having to be put in a whole different room. Keep in mind the rooms were the farthest possible distance from the front desk. The awful smell of smoke filled the hall that lead to my room. The water was black. The sheets were dirty. The breakfast was not good at all. The temperature in the room was either Antarctica or the sahara no in between. I will most likely never stay at a days inn ever again because of this experience.
Repugnant! Plumbing leaking in shower. Not clean. Someones swim shorts left in my sisters room. Door left unlocked for unknown purposes. Free hot breakfast was a joke. One hour after start time ; no milk for cereal, juice dispenser is out of order, air conditioning vent dripping water on floor next to a table. People roaming the hallways at night loud and it wasnt just children. Front desk was two doors away and nothing was said. Will make sure everyone I know will not stop there! Disgusting and for $92.00 was way over priced!
The hotel was overall dingy and rundown. The room smelled and was not clean. The hot tub didn’t work and the “fitness center” was a tiny room with two pieces of workout equipment. The pool smelled and was not clean either. The only good thing about this hotel was the staff. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.I would not recommend anyone to stay here.
Save your money. Do not book here. We booked non smoker room and the room that we got had worst smell. Upholstery and linen even had the smoke smell. I had to spend a whole night in that room with that suffocating smell. There was no pillows provided, only cushions were there for sleeping. Bathtub was rusted.
Walked in floor was filthy, phone was broken in pieces and not working, bathtub was filthy with the drain bolts falling out, hair dryer broken and not working, mirrors were dirty ,safe did not work. We had to call the front desk to bring up cleaning supplies and the lady was nice and said she would of cleaned it, but she was the only one there.Bathroom fan was broken. For a few extra dollars go down the road to another hote,This one is not what they advertise !
It was ok. I wont be staying here again unless no other option. Water smelled bad and the tub and toilet were stained. The hot tubs jets didnt work. We spent all day away and when we returned our room cards didnt work. The room was cleaned, but all other things ruined it.
I stayed here for a school trip and it was was quite nice, but could’ve been better! PROS: location, good staff, breakfast wasn’t that bad, and beds were comfortable!! CONS: the hot tub wasn’t that hot, jets were shady, rooms are kind of outdated (tv), and my TV remote wasn’t working. It’s a good place for a one stay, but not for a week🤷🏽♀️
The manager we dealt with was horrible. A very unprofessional miserable woman. The rooms were dirty and had mold through out the bathroom, as well as looking like they were battling bed bugs! They screwed up our block of room reservations for our daughters wedding so we had to move to a different hotel last minute!
Reading the reviews almost scared me out of staying here. They have improved. Clean room, good air conditioning. Nice king size bed. The person who checked us in was very helpful! I would rather pay $77 here vs $149 next door at the Marriott or Holiday inn. Heading to the free breakfast now...fingers crossed!
Thanks to the reviews... we took a pass on this one. I think we had him down to about 78 with the $10 off coupon. It was showing $70 as a one night deal.Well the kid had no authority. I made him call his boss. The lobby smelled. Just because it is somewhat close to Cedar Point they think they can charge high for a substandard product. The kid correctly said I would have to book through some crazy app. No thanks 🙄
While the staff was very nice the room was severely under cleaned. I stayed there for a month on business and I ended up buying my own cleaning supplies so I could clean it my self. The water was so full of rust it stained every surface of the bathroom and was undeniable. I had to use bottled water to even brush my teeth like I was in a third world country. The water pressure was sporadic so sometimes it was just a trickle, not conducive for a shower
Old, outdated, the pool was dirty, breakfast was gross. Everything seemed filthy. One maid to clean all the rooms the days we were there. I can only imagine how “clean” things really were. Grateful I brought bleach wipes and didn’t come home with bed bugs. 🤮Staff was very friendly though.
Definitely what you expect from a cheap motel. Theres a fridge and microwave included with the room, and an electronic safe if youre feeling insecure. My issue was the breakfast, it didnt start till 6 am which is a shame because i and about four others, had to leave before 6. When I asked for a bowl of cereal I was told the person who has the keys to fridge wouldnt be there untill 5:30 am, and that I could ask then and she may do that for me. So much for customer satisfaction.
Fortunately, I had no trouble with heat/AC working, hot water worked, room was clean and staff friendly/helpful. Bathroom had issues - no exhaust fan, peeling plaster and big rust stain in tub (fortunately I take showers). As a solo traveling female senior, I wish locks to the outside doors would get fixed and also the safe in the room did not work so I could secure my medications/electronics. Mini-fridge and microwave worked fine. They also have a fitness center which I used the treadmill daily. It is less expensive than others in the area. I would go again as I was birding at Magee Marsh and didnt spend a ton of time in the room. I dont believe they have elevator to the upper level, so book on the lower level if you have issues hauling luggage up steps (I was on lower) and check to make sure everything is working before you settle in.
The hotel room smelled like smoke, not good for a non smoking room. Water smelled like sewer water. They advertise the indoor pool as heated, the room its in is heated not the pool. The pool water was about 70° & the hot tubs jets did not work & the water was a light brown color. Im marking this specific hotel off my list to revisit. I will visit a different hotel in Fremont, Ohio. Fremont is a nice, friendly quit city.
I slept very well and thats all that matters to me so thank you!! I have been to many different hotels and so far this is the only one that I can think of that gives you actual control of the temperature of your room. I like my room very cold when I sleep and I got what wanted. The beds were even more comfortable than most of the other hotels Ive stayed in. Anyway, thanks again for a great nights rest.
I would not recommend this motel to anyone. The room is pretty outdated, but thats not a big deal to me. What is a big deal is that it doesnt seem like they spent much time cleaning it. The floor looks dirty, like they didnt vacuum it or they need new vacuums. There was hair everywhere I looked. The bathroom drains were stained with rust.
Room was suppose to be non-smoking. It stunk so bad like an ashtray. When we told front desk they said they were booked so they could not give us another room. Pulled back the sheets- looked like a streak of blood on the sheet. They did bring us another sheet. Bathtub looked like it had never been clean. Outer sink counter edge was falling off. Light switch covers dirty. Lightbulb out. Ashes on floor. Candy wrapper in drawer. Refrig on floor and microwave on it. Stains on walls. For $144 a night was disgusted.
Worst place to stay! Stayed here for work for a few weeks had to add an extra day charged me full price at $83 an night wouldnt help us out on price at all after staying for 10 plus nights! Alos talked to the front desk for a late check out since we were working night shift. Manager decided to charge an extra $83 to my card with out my permission. Sayin i was in the room at 240pm still when i had left at 130pm. After calling 3 times and no response to get the charge off my card the manager amanda was very rude and unprofessional on the phone with me! I do not recommend staying at this establishment! Also the rooms water smelt so bad and no fan in shower. Also we did not have and room service the whole time we were staying here and she still wouldnt help us out on room pricing! If i could give a zero star i would!!!!
Its a standard Days Inn. There is no elevator, so if you have a person with mobility issues, I would recommend asking for a room on the first level. We got there very late and the clerk was extremely nice; however, the lady behind the desk at checkout the next morning was not very pleasant. The rooms were clean, although all the drawers were pulled out. Everything worked.
We are in from PA for a couple days. I have my 2 yr old with me and I wouldnt DARE even THINK about putting her in this NASTY bathtub. It looks like it hasnt been cleaned in quite a while. She took her shoes off and ran around for maybe two minutes before her feet were BLACK. The only reason I give two stars is because the pool area is nice and the complimentary breakfast was ok. Typical eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, cereal, juice, milk, toast or bread. Will never rent rooms here again.
Very disappointed! I was disgusted by the hair on the floor, inside shower walls, behind the toilet and in the sink. No housekeeping services to our room which meant no clean towels, cups or coffee for morning number two! The breakfast area had dirty floors and tables. Your shoes would stick in places. I will never stay there again nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.
This hotel charges like a new holiday inn, but its as nice as the roach or red roof inn. Rooms are dirty, toilet didnt flush, and the breakfast was subpar. We wont be coming back. Update: Asked for my hotel receipt to be e-mailed to me for two days now, and nothing. Now Tina is not answering the phone. Must be really busy at 11:40 PM
Asked for non smoking room got 2 smoking rooms very angry the whole town is completely booked, staff was not friendly. Pool was cloudy and had hair floating in it. Not super clean. Side and back doors to hotel were not locked felt unsecure. The linen smelled old like it hadnt been changed in a while. I will not stay here again and wouldnt recommend it to anyone.
0 stars. I left 1 star because otherwise I cant leave a review. This place is a rathole. Maintenance is not available after hours, we spent one night with no working electrical outlet. The shower is either blistering hot or ice cold, and water pressure varies from normal to a bare trickle. The rooms are supposed to be non- smoking, yet frequently the hallway reeks of smoke. The rooms have a peculiar odor. I will never stay here or at any Days Inn again.
Parking lot not shoveled. The tip off (which I should have gotten) was the cold lobby. The room was cold when I entered. I turned up the heat and went to bed. I also noticed the water had a slight rotten eggs smell. Perhaps they have well water with hydrogen sulfide. I used bottled water.4 hours later I woke up cold, tried to get the heating unit to crank out more heat, noticed there was a lot of outside air leaking in. Tried to warm up by taking a hot shower. I ran the hot water for 5 minutes but the water was barely tepid. I packed up and checked out. They told me I should have come in earlier and I should have let the water run longer. I consider adequate heat and hot water part of the basics, the lack of which is why I gave this place one star.I would have been better off sleeping in my car all night at a rest stop. with the engine running. Would have saved the 90 bucks and could have washed my face with hot water. This is an old run down motel. I think it may be a little bit hazardous to your health to stay at this place in the winter.
Full disclosure: I have not stayed in a guestroom at this property as of yet. I have visited the hotel daily for a few weeks. The place seems very seasonal, the pool and spa were initially closed, and the restaurant hasnt been open yet, but the nightly rates still seemed quite high. The breakfast is mediocre, oatmeal, waffles, sausage and egg patties. You might find an apple or orange in the refrigerator. The common areas look clean, but the meeting rooms / event spaces are pretty dirty.
No wi-fi! They will tell you they’re working on it and when it finally comes up there’s “no internet connection”. I have Verizon and only get service outside the hotel. It’s impossible to stay connected. Also, we booked a king and when we got here it was a king alright, in a smoking room with cigarette burns and ashes galore. Our only option to be non-smoking was to move to two full size beds. We had our 7 month old with us for the trip, he was such a great little tike until the front staff called our loud room phone at 11:41pm to ask if our room was ok. He didn’t fall back asleep until 5am! Bottom line, if you’re ok with no WiFi, no cell service, no restaurant on site, spiders, and late night calls from the staff then this is the place for you. -_-
It is tough when you are on the side of the road, squinting at the screen of your cell phone hoping to find a good hotel at a ok price without getting stabbed in the parking lot at a late hour in the night. This Days Inn was ok. The people were wonderful and welcoming. Gave us a discount. The smell of the hotel reminds me of when you go I to a antique store. I overlooked it when we gave the lady behind the counter our card. The hotel room is older. TV was newer. The smell was ok. Musty. The bathroom looked ok but the vent and the smell of the water was not good. I sorta smell like swamp cooler right now. There was a pillow with old mascara on it. The breakfast is your standard free breakfast. I was given the heads up to not eat the eggs nor sausage. Everything else was fine. I would not like to return but if you just planning on sleeping then throwing on a hat and hitting road again, this place is for you.
Room was mostly clean, did find cobwebs and a dead spider in the corner. Staff was friendly. Biggest complaint was that the second night (with checkout at noon) I went to take a shower around 10am to allow myself time to pack and checkout, and there was no hot water and the water pressure was terrible. I didnt have time to talk to staff because I needed to be on my way.
Remember if you booked this already you cannot cancel. If you plan on booking a hotel at days inn freemont, Ohio, please read this entire post. Let me start by saying I booked this hotel on priceline while passing through on my way to a fishing trip for the convenient location. Upon arriving at this hotel on August 22nd, 2015 to drop my bags, I was greeted by staff that was pleasant.Got to my room and the first thing I noticed was that putred musty smell. After about 5 minutes, I got used to it I guess. Dropped my belongings and left for the day into the evening. We came back about 9 pm. And attempted to take a shower. Turned on the water and instantly noticed a nasty, fish-like musty smell, similar to well water. We had been on a boat all day, sweaty and dirty and decided to proceed with the shower . Now it took at least 5 minutes of adjusting the shower temperature to get to a somewhat constant temp. Got in and the water immediately started fluctuating temperature between extreme, jump out scalding hot and freezing cold. This continued while soaking wet trying to once again trying to adjust the temperature. After about 5 or 6 more minutes. Decided to take a towel wipe off instead. We where tired, and just wanted to go to bed at this point. We were hoping that the smell in the shower only affected the shower and we become completely dismayed turning on the bathroom sink faucet only to find the same nasty water smell, while brushing our teeth. Completely disgusted, we used bottled water instead. Then the beds, not to bad except for the critters that bit us in our sleep. In conclusion, will never stay here again, or in another days inn for that matter. Save the 100 plus dollars and use it to stay at hopefully a better hotel someplace else. I should have been paid 100 dollars to stay here. However if ever had the option I would surely pass. do not stay here, you will be dissatisfied.
Dirty rooms, took 40 minutes to get a shower due to having to turn the shower off after a couple minutes because water would be half way up your calf due to a clogged drain. Bathroom was dirty, towels were nasty, bed was disgusting and the ceiling had a leak. Never will I stay at another Days Inn
Room was large and clean, but hot when we arrived. When we needed something from the front desk, and the clerk made us wait because she was on what sounded like a personal phone call. Restaurant and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent price for the price.
Room was clean, staff was helpful, but the pool was kind of murky and that made it a bit disconcerting. It was just a few minutes before it closed so maybe it was just how it was at the end of the day.Everything worked, breakfast was good, and it was a fair price considering we checked in at 10 P.M.Now if only they could control the humidity... 😂
Yikes. Staying at this place was a living nightmare. There were literally turkey vultures circling around the place and it smelled like death right when I walked in. Dont plan on bringing too much stuff either because there is no elevator. The hallways are filthy. Dead bugs, ashes, and even a pair of panties. Disgusting. You know you made a mistake when the dirty coffee pot is kept in the same room as the toilet. Gross. I took a shower and actually felt more dirty afterwards. Shaving cream residue and little hairs on the shower wall. What a nice suprise. Someone else found little bugs in their room. Another nice suprise. The only good thing is there is a bar at the hotel so you can drink and cry yourself to sleep like I did. The water tower there says Fremont, where people come first LOL. sure, unless youre staying at the days inn.
Booked for miny vacation on Expedia as soon as we entered room it had odor next thing I see on the pillow a giant bed bug. Caught the bug turned it over to front desk she didnt even apologize Expedia handled it well giving us $29 plus our free cancellation but this place is definitely infested
We had to keep getting a new key card and it wouldnt work for us by the end of every day the man upfront kept giving us a new one saying it was set for only one day. There is a smoking and nonsmoking hall.Shower head comes down on u really lightly and the bathroom door is a sqeeze to get in cause the bathroom is so small.Free wifi4 seat bar upfront u can get ur beer
This does not even deserve one star. The sign on the highway says $79. I know it was a Saturday but $139? Really from $79 that the sign says. For lumpy pillows, dirty, gritty water pouring from the tub faucet that lifts ip the anti-skid mat. Called down and they said its from a new water softer that was installed....let it run..well, for how long? There is still lost of black grit in the tub. I sounded bathed. Then there is guck on the base of the toilet. Wished I had driven more down the Ohio Turnpike.
WHAT A DUMP! My wife & i reserved a double bed earlier today right b4 pulling into this dump. The reservation was for $79.00 which turned out being right @ $100.00. That was the 1st clue, guess we shouldve paid closer attention to that one. Upon entering the room i noticed right away that the beds didnt actually look as though they were beds but more like the ramps dirt bikes would jump on some dirt track. Not only that, once i started the water in the tub, come to find out the water shot out black shi*. By this im about pi** off. Not only did my wife & i get screwed outta $100.00 but tonight i have to go to bed w/a nasty a**. #THISDAYSINNSUCKS
Manager rude and uncaring once this snow storm is over will not be staying again!! Room not that clean, pool nasty, and After hearing the way an employee was talked to cause they called in and threatend their job all cause someone else called off uncalled for... clearly they don’t care abt thier employees or guest.. ITS A LEVEL 3!!!

2022-03-05This was my second stay here. First stay was bad enough, but I thought I’d give it another shot since this motel is halfway home on my route. Arrived around midnight, the smell of marijuana was incredibly strong inside the lobby and hallways. Loud music, loud TVs, loud people, parties…same as last time. I almost walked out, but it had been a long day. Front desk clerk was nice. The first key card didn’t work, nor the second or third he gave me…apparently the card reader was broke so he followed me to the room and unlocked it manually, then instructed me if we needed to leave that we could prop open the door. Thankfully the room was one the quiet side until about 2am, when a party got a bit louder and started running up and down the hallway. Even when it was reported nothing stopped it. The site is very dated, though the beds are comfortable. If you are looking for a peaceful nights rest…do not stay here.

2022-03-01Positive: The pool and hot tub was great..the breakfast was awesome. Close to all the stores you might need. Negative: The smoking rooms are old and kinda grungy..there was no hot water for the shower but the sink had hot water which is weird..but the breakfast and the pool made up for the room.

2022-04-24The only good thing about this motel is location off of I 90. Rooms are disgusting... questionable (if any) cleaning- floors were sticky, noticeable mold in bathroom corners. Loud younger adults running, yelling down hallways and outside of exterior windows. Room keys worked 50% of the time, and not a place Id ever be comfortable leaving a door slightly ajar. Table and bed in room were lopsided , TV didnt even turn on. We spent all of 5hrs at this hotel and it made my skin crawl.

2022-06-24This place is NASTY! Room is dirty, mini fridge is disgusting!! Foreign substances on floor and walls in bathroom! Pool is cloudy and the hot tub isn’t filtering, it’s just hot stagnant water. Just don’t waste your time! It’s gross!

2022-04-20Five stars for hospitality. Shout out to Ashley, what a sweetheart. She hooked me up with some much needed ibuprofen and was just super pleasant to talk to. Ohio, youre making a good impression so far :)

2022-05-24This place has all the amenities and continental breakfast. Make sure that you use your triple A discount if youre a member. The rooms are fairly priced after the discount.

2022-04-11Positive: The staff was kind and helpful with any request. Negative: The clock was not set to the correct time. Taking the time for the small things makes the stay more enjoyable.
