I should’ve known something was up when one guest came down and said they weren’t staying because there were bugs in there room. When we got to our room, only one light in the room worked, but at that point it was ok because it was 11:30 at night and we were just going to bed. The next morning we found out the shower didn’t work and even if I could wash my hair, there was no blow dryer, there was no iron- so we had to travel to a memorial service without showers and in wrinkled clothes (we had a 8 hour trip) when I booked this room online I booked a king bed, when we got there they said they only had a room with 2 doubles but I was still charged the same price and the only excuse they could offer was “the Internet doesn’t know what we have” - seems like they need to get that fixed! Also there was no breakfast like advertised. I think I’d rather take my chances and go to the hotel to reserve a room. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO DAYS IN
Positive: The staff was kind Negative: I didn¿t like about this hotel is no pool nor no breakfast as advertised, hotel was clean but very very old looking like a broke down hotel. It smell of dog stepping off the elevator. We already paid for the hotel so we went to Walmart to purchase bedd
Its an ok hotel . Nothing fancy . Coffee pot n room didnt work . Not horrible , if I paid forty bucks for the room , Id be ok with it . But I paid over twice that ! So compared to local rooms I paid for at the same cost , the value was poor . I rate it 3 meaning its ok . Because if the price was cheap it would be ok :)But with the price I paid , its not up to the standards I expect .
My daughter inlaw and i reserved rooms online when we got to the hotel we were told they only had 1 room with two double beds. The reservation was for 2 rooms with queen sized beds. My son is 6ft9. We were informed that there were empty rooms but there was no 1 to clean them i dont understand this business practice at all
Turned the ac on and it stunk so bad so I went to look at the ac filters and they were filthy and broken so couldnt get them out to clean them. Had to take the front part of the ac off which it was half ways off anyways to be able to get the filters out to clean them. Then finally was able to turn it on to cool the room down.
Positive: Nothing. I booked a Business King Suite. WHen I arrived none were available. I asked to a handicap room with had only 1 double bed, tiles were falling off the shower, handicap bar on wall was loose. The hotel had no breakfast which you advertised. Negative: See above.
Positive: The staff was friendly Negative: The wall paper was coming off the walls in large sheets, the carpet was messed up in areas, there was a white drippy substance down one wall behind one nightstand and the telephone didn¿t work. The bed was old and lumpy mattress/pillows, worn thin shee
A super friendly staff at a hotel that is firmly anchored in the 1960s. Our room was large and comfortable. I guess having only one AC outlet per room was the norm in the 60s. The pool was closed and had become a unintentional nature preserve for frogs are mosquitoes. It was 98 degrees and extremely humid. That pool would have been nice. The bed was comfortable - I slept well. The breakfast was weak. Overall a good value, with time travel thrown in for free.
Ill rate this hotel 3 stars. It was severely run down and in need of restoration. The bathroom looked like it hasnt been updated since the 70s and wasnt the cleanest. They did however offer a small breakfast in the morning which was nice. The room when I arrived was freezing as they didnt have any heat on in the room when I arrived. It did however serve its purpose as it wasnt too overly expensive to stay there. The room was still decently clean for what they could clean. The hotel is in dire need of renovations.
Staff was excellent. Was only staying one night but they treated me no different. I seem cameras on the property which is always a plus when travelling, and all entrances were card secured. The room was a single with a clean bed, clean bathroom, and clean linens. I couldnt find anything to complain about if I tried. COVID19 prevented breakfast from being served, so make sure you grab something from the nearby gas station to heat up in your microwave (in room) or store something overnight in your refrigerator (also in room)
Not a bad Hotel for the price. Its convenient and on the way the places we go. It is a clean Hotel outside could use a little TLC. The pools been closed for years that I know of. Service up front could be a little more friendly. But did take care of the issues with the room quickly. Overall have good experiences here reasonable price conveniently-located lots of food restaurants nearby. Pretty sure well be back again in the future. And of course dont forget to get your free breakfast and coffee in the morning.
Comfy bed and pillows. Our room was clean and had everything that we needed. Great TV with lots of channels. The pool was wonderful! Staff was so nice and the breakfast was delicious. The only problem was there are no outlets near the bed/beds so no way to plug in phone near bed. Also to use the microwave you have to unplug the lamp as once again not enough outlets. The hotel price is very reasonable and they have large vehicle parking. Bob Evans is in the same parking lot and they had great food. We enjoyed our stay and will return if passing through.
Completely hit it miss. We got 2 adjacent non-smoking rooms. One room was decent, nothing special, but clean smelling and everything was functional. The 2nd room was awful. Smelled like smoke, toilet was broken and leaking onto the floor. Low price, but you are flipping a coin on room quality.
Hotel was fine if of a bit old, but it had some spots of mold on the ceiling of the bathroom. Light switch didnt work when I got into the room (in the dark) had to go to the lamps and turn them on individually, and TV didnt work right away because I figured out it was unplugged. Bed was OK, breakfast was fine. Location was easy to get to from the highway.
Great place to stay. Easy access off I-70 and only 1 exit west of I-70/I-77 interchange. Comfy beds and clean rooms. Anita (the manager) and her staff treats us good when we stay there for work. They have a decent amount of room for us to park our oversize semi-trucks during our stay. Ive never had the breakfast there because we always have to leave out early for work before most hotels we stay at serve it in the morning. They have a small lounge but Im not sure of the days or times that it is open. Plus I dont think they serve food in it but there is plenty of restaurants surrounding it easily within walking distance. That is definitely a plus when you dont have transportation other than the semi truck.
Was not the best Days Inn we stayed in. We arrived around 3pm. and one room was not quite ready. The passage way was not brightly lighted for one. The carpet could use a shampoo and our room was finally ready but we found Cheerios on floor and dust around floor lamp. The other room the chain came off in the comode and when reported to front desk was told maintenance man was not around for couple weeks A bit disappointing.
Clean Bathroom, clean linens. The room smelled murky, the heater smelled like burnt wood when you turned it on. Cigarette burns on my linens despite the fact it was a non smoking room. Room key didnt work (which was something I saw in a previous review). I slept fine and didnt get bed bugs so wasnt terrible, but you definitely are gambling on a room less that $75/night. Lesson learned!
The hotel on the whole looked a bit run down, but I expected that for the price I paid. However, I will not stay there again if given the choice. The room had extensive water damage on the walls and ceiling. It definitely felt like the cleaning staff only did a half-assed job; my wife was revolted by the filthy toilet. And we couldnt watch any TV as the cable didnt work. Also, two safety issues: One, the elevator door would start to open before the elevator fully stopped. And two, one of the side doors to the hotel did not lock at all and Im pretty sure it was not monitored.
Worst place. Had reservations, got there and could not get the room because people who were in the room didnt check out. Had to take the last smoking room. We wanted non-smoking. Coffee pot was disgusting, I cleaned it with a was cloth and ran water through it before we used it. Went to check out and no one at front desk. Waited 15 minutes with others. Finally I tracked someone down check rooms. Was told the girl at the desk is taking out trash. Mean while there is a line to check out and the phones are ringing being unanswered.Employs smoke by the door and wont even move for you to get by and wont even offer to get the door for you.WILL NOT EVER STAY AT THIS PLACE AGAIN.These are how we found the bed.the white rag is from cleaning coffee pot.
For a last minute Sunday night online booking this was good for price. You can hear the trucks out our 3rd floor double and yet the make your own waffles are crazy good and the staff pleasant. Worth staying at as the staff put some effort in and it was good for a motel under 100 a night.
Great stay for the price. Breakfast was advertised as continental but was much more with waffles, omelettes, multigrain bread plus the usual fare. Our room was clean and furnishings sufficient for an overnight stay. We would definitely stay here again given the opportunity.
Pros : inexpensive. Cons: hallway smelled musty and a ton like smoke even though our room and surrounding rooms were smoke-free rooms. The smoke smell was noticeable a few feet into our room too. The provided luggage carts barely worked--loaded with two peoples luggage it was difficult to move over anything with more than a tiny lip which included the patched parking lot, the door into the first floor hallway, and the elevator. The room was OK but a bit dated which is to be expected at a budget hotel. The room didnt really block out sound well. Hearing people shut their room door almost sounded as though they were in your room. The beds were fine--not the most comfortable in the world but also not the worst. Pillows were actually comfortable for me as someone who enjoys stiffer pillows. The bathroom was the nicest part of the room. It was clean and looked to be a little more modern than the rest of the room. The breakfast left a lot to be desired: waffles, some cereal, and pre-made what I think were supposed to be omelletes but Im really not sure. As someone who usually doesnt like to load up on carbs for breakfast it would have been nice to have some fruit or maybe some yogurt cups as an option. I would likely not stay here again unless it was a last minute just needed to sleep for a few hours. If planning on staying in Cambridge as a midway point during a road trip I would probably chose somewhere else.
Before you choose this place, look at photos past the fake ones!!! Zero. RUNNNNN!!! Not a place for family. Broken back door, bent / broken stairway door, room smells funny, water damage on ceiling, holes in ceilings and they will take your money! Not a good place if you have asthma like my son does. I checked in on a Saturday and checked out on that same night due to the rediculous condition of the room only to find out that the front desk Darby and her assistant manager Carrie (who was scheduled to come in next morning) never checked me out! I was scheduled to stay to that following Tuesday for visiting my grandfather with my children in Cambridge. They lied to me about their booking regualtions and are refusing to give me a refund. The sad part about this shady place is each time you speak with them there is a different reason why they cant administer the refund, which after some digging, they have been lies. They are super desperate for your money! You might spend more money elsewhere but at least your room will be safer, not smell, not have cobwebs on the light fixtures and not look like a quick hookup joint. By Wyndham this is a very sad representation if so and makes me question Wyhdham altogether if this is the kind of place they want to represent them.
I got two rooms that werent cleaned by the housekeepers. One of them was an absolute mess with a pair of pants and beers strewn across the floor. I thought it was still in use. Desk manager was helpful and upgraded my room to a twin bed for free (which I didnt need because I was alone but the extra space is nice).
Well, where to start? Cigarette burns on the bedding, ashes on the floor, dental flossers on the floor, mold on the ceiling, light bulbs missing, window leaked water the whole time it rained, stained furniture, wallpaper peeling, stained rough towels, and a shower curtain that hadnt been replaced in a very long time. The hallway smelled musty and almost like a sump pit. The front desk staff and the rate are the only positive things I can say. I realize people are quicker to complain than give praise and I rarely post reviews but, I couldnt help myself on this place. There are alot of other choices in town and Ill definitely take one of those choices the next time Im in town. Clean up and do some remodeling or just bulldoze it and start over.
Very disappointed. Room was dirty and muggy. Carpet was sticky and there was trash left behind fridge, ashes by chair, dog hair on bed skirt, etc, see pics. Booked through Expedia which I was not given a room choice. Expedia gave me a smoking room and I am not a smoker. Called 2 times prior to check in and explained the situation and was told I would be able to switch to non smoking. Arrived to check in and was told I could switch so I got stuck with a dirty smoking room. Pretty disgusting, I will be in the area for a while due to work but definitely won’t be staying here again.
The room wasnt very clean and I was treated like I wasnt welcome there. I also checked in at about 5:30 am paid and then was told checkout was at 11 only 6 hourse later barley enough time to lay down after a shower that was also an issue the handles and spout would rattle in the wall they were no longer attached. The toilet Bowl was held together by scotch tape and would leak on the floor so if you walked in with socks dont expect them to be dry leaving the bathroom. They came knocking on my door at exactly 11:01 as Im rushing to leave to follow their policies getting ready to walk out the door anyways they ask if we are going to leave the room or are they going to have to chage me another night. When I was finally ready to check out at the office 11:10 is about the time i walk from the thrid floor and pack all my gear into the truck then walk to the office there is no one to be found around the front desk I had to go seaching and I found a kind enough lady to check me out at last. Informed it wasnt her job but she would try her best to get me checked out only plesant part of staying at this inn.
Worst place! Very Dirty, coffee maker was nasty, beds looked like someone made them then laid on them, staff didnt know what they were doing when we checked in. No one at front desk at 11:00a.m. at check out time. Housekeepers are very rude. No one seemed to be happy with their job. Front desk person was busy cleaning the bar and taking out trash from the night before. No manager was on duty. Seems like they just have no pride in this place and even care less in the clients comfort.
My wife & i stayed here on a business trip. Everything was just about perfect until we 1st checked in. We reserved a king business suite which was located on the second floor. Checking in was when it all started. The front desk clerks attitude was so rude until i second guessed on getting the room. Luckily for her or should i say the days inn my wife & i were exhausted. Now the other problem we had after paying $80+ dollars for the room came from getting ready for bed. After eating out next door @ Bob Evans i decided to turn in a lil earlier then my wife since we had a long drive ahead of us w/me doing the driving. In order to get the rest i needed for the drive i decided to bath in the tub to relax tired muscles. Upon running my bath water i noticed like in an instance that the water was like not even warm which really started my blood to boil 1st this idiot down stairs & now this crap. Talk about one pissed off night. The hotel itself was fine i guess but after driving all day all anyone could ever ask for is a lil guest hospitality or some hot running bath water thats not asking much is it? Just in case youre planning on staying here whatever you do avoid the freckle-face reddish maybe strawberry blonde chick down stairs an focus on dealing w/taking a cool bath or a cold shower that awaits you before bedtime.
One good thing, is the price. We booked our room online. We choose this hotel because it had an outdoor pool. When we got here, the pool was closed due to needing repairs. When asked why this wasnt mentioned on the website, we were told that if we want a pool, to go down the street and pay $40 more for our room. At the Continental breakfast, the employee refilling and restocking the food and supplies touched food and the trash recepticles with her bare hands. I had to stand to eat breakfast (nothing that wasnt prepackaged) because there were broken chairs, and were unusable. The trash recepticles outside were over flowing. Im very disappointed, and doubt we will ever come back again. I called the corporate office and spoke to Heather. She told me that I could go down to the desk and ask for a courteous cancellation, but will probably be charged for one night. What a crock!!
Business Suite same cost as lesser room. Coffee machine, microwave, refrigerator, safe, cable w/premium channels all included. Good HVAC, hot water, water pressure, clean king size bed. Bar on premises. Appears to be a safe neighborhood. The room might need refurbishing for some and avoid if you arrive late and try to sleep in. Walls are paper thin. You will hear the dryer banging away, the maid vacuuming the hall, and other guests slamming their doors by 08:30. Almost forgot, free hot breakfast in the lobby in the A.M.
The pool was closed. It never said anything till I got there. And there was two one huge cockroaches and one baby roaches. I went to office and ask nicely. The lady front office promise me I get full refund and different room. If never did. Not very happy and willNever go back again
Worst place ever. We had a party of 8 rooms. One room had to be changed the third time. Air conditioners not working, TVs not working, phones not working, pool closed in July, Wi-Fi not working, computers not working at check-in, printers not working at check-in, rooms not clean, rooms in disrepair oh, and the list goes on. Pity the poor lady on the front desk. Manager would not even come in to help her get things cleared. Once again would never go to this place again!!!!!!
We were given room 121 and it is the most ratchet, unsatisfactory place I have ever been to. They put us in a room in which the window was drafty af and cold air was just mercilessly coming in. The heater was SO LOUD and broken that we couldnt even sleep when it was on, but it was too cold without it AND at 3:45am turned back on and woke all of us up. And when we turned it on when we got back it started smoking. You BEST believe we are in a different room tonight. Plus I had to unplug the fridge in the first room because it was also extremely loud and awful sounding. Oh and they are supposed to have a workout room and a business center. They dont. And the wifi didnt work in our old room either. DO NOT stay at the Days Inn Cambridge.
The location on Cambridge, OH was okay. The staff that checked us in was dealing with some kind of drama. One worker said to the other I hate my job today and the other said I hate my job every day. Ive been working in customer service for 10 years. This is NOT how I would want any of my employees to act while customers are around. Other than that initial experience, everything else was okay.
Not very friendly and definitely ruder than should be to a paying customer rooms not ready because there all standing in the front talking so I have sat here for over a hour and room still not ready but than again the girl who is to suppose to be cleaning it now left the front office Togo and sit out side and smoke for a half hour will not be staying here again

2022-06-05I do not understand where the positive views come from. We had a terrible experience with this hotel. The ice machines on every floor were broke. There was definitely something wrong with the sheets they were rough and they were not clean. The back on our remote control was broke. The elevator had wires that were sticking out the roof and the inspection notice was outdated so it was not legal. We were promised breakfast and that was our total reason for picking this hotel so we wouldn’t have to spend the extra money. There was no breakfast. The very very very young girl on the counter said that the manager is off on the weekends and therefore the food does not get ordered and there would be no breakfast which there was not. Look at the reviews on yelp. You will be shocked that one hotel could get all these negative reviews. Do not stay here I have warned you!!

2022-06-26It started off rocky. We booked through a site and reserved a room with a pull out couch. Then we get there and a woman I did not get her name, unfortunately said we dont have a pull out couch and arollaway bed is extra. I booked 3 beds and she kept trying to charge more for it. Then was very rude about it and dismissive. Thank goodness for Kirk who was coming on shift . He was absolutely a jewel. He was so kind and helpful. One of the best. Thank you kind sir. He is the only reason we did not go elsewhere. The upkeep needs a lot of work the elevator is kinda scary

2022-05-24Theres a saying ya get what ya pay for. About the only good part of the stay was the front desk staff. Fridge and AC were loud, hallways stunk a d were gross, cleaning supplies were kept in stairwell and made the stairwell smell like ammonia. Shoulda slept in my car.

2022-04-02After having to deal with human waste in the bathroom then being moved 3 more times to rooms that didnt have working heat or didnt have a refrigerator, we finally were in given a room at almost 3a.m. The poor girl helping us hadnt been with the hotel long but was very sweet. She accidentally put us in a non-smoking room and we specifically asked if we could smoke and were told yes. Unfortunately, the next morning we were treated horribly by the manager and after speaking to the owner I fully understand why the hotel is the way it is and employs the people it employs. We were charged on our credit card for smoking and when I informed the owner of the theft of my money she would not fix the problem but to be fair she probably needs every penny she can con people out of. Unprofessional, pathetic, unethical, lacking the barest touch of hospitality! I did end up fighting for a few months and finally received.a refund from the fraudulent charge.

2022-04-29Was there with my gf. The rooms are filthy. Even the coffee maker had dust all over it and it’s like house keeper don’t clean. 1 single granola bar is not breakfast!!! And pool is filled in with dirt. Better to go to microtel or baymont to get better service. The WiFi didn’t even work. The staff is rude and the lady at the dest didn’t care about anything and all she had to say was “you have a bed don’t you? Your fine” filthy. Rude. Cheap. Don’t come here.

2022-06-12Room was dirty there was a coffee maker in the room no cups the mini fridge was broken and you had to practically slam it to get it closed and there was no remote for the TV I can only say two positive things the receptionist was nice the beds were the only thing in the room clean

2021-11-04The rooms are a little out of date and the beds are just a little to hard for our liking. The pillows for the bed are small square like couch pillows. The guy at the front desk at check-in is really nice, friendly and accommodating so thank you for that. Good customer service is hard to find.

2021-10-11This is a reasonably priced hotel that is pet friendly. Unfortunately the only rooms that allow pets are on the 4th floor which is also the smoking floor. There is a refrigerator freezer and microwave in the room. The rooms are outdated and a bit shabby but for the price it was not bad. The staff was friendly and the location easy to access the highway.

2021-10-09Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever been in, first when we arrived the Receptionist was snoring in the back room after 10 minutes of trying to wake him up he came up and was repeatedly falling asleep while using the computer to get us a room, after that we get to our room to find that the window does not close, multiple bugs a mosquitos in the room, no smoke detector, wallpaper is peeling off and the room was very poorly cleaned. Would no recommend this place to anyone as we walked out and went up the street to the microtel which was a much better experience
