This isnt the fault of the staff- who were all lovely.This hotel is just plain old. The walls are an off-avocado green. The carpet is outdated. Our bathroom door didnt stay shut. There are cracks in the bathtub and siding in the rooms. Its just an old hotel.That said, the staff was kind, and the beds were surprisingly comfy. Was impressed that they actually had an in-person breakfast!
I recently rented a room at your Batavia, OH location for a romantic weekend with my girlfriend. I am thoroughly disappointed with the condition of the facility and suite. I walked in to the lobby to find multiple large crates stacked in the lobby. They were still there when I left 3 days later. The elevator was in deplorable condition. It was like being in a freight elevator. The paint was all scratched up, it bounced as it moved, and it made popping noises when in motion.The suite was also disappointing. There were pieces of paneling missing on the front of the jacuzzi. Cob webs in basically every corner of the room. The door to the balcony overlooking the pool had to be lifted to latch. The curtain to hide the door was an old shower curtain. It was hanging on an old bent shower rod.Furniture in the room was a let down also. The bed was very nice. But the TV was set on a dinette table. The kitchenette set was lawn furniture. What is romantic about chairs with plastic straps to sit on? The only decent chair in the room was the desk chair. I was also disappointed that there was no dresser to put clothes in.The toilet in the room did not drain properly either. When I said something about it the best they would do is grab a plunger out of a closet and hand it to me. I also did not like the fact that other guests were smoking so much pot that the entire floor smelled of it.I definitely will not return and will not recommend it to anyone.
Very nice rooms. Beds were very comfortable. Pool area was great. Front desk was helpful helping us and very polite. There are several food places, dollar store, gas station near by. Definitely would stay here again and recommend to others. Attached are photos of rooms
Excellent service and very impressed on how all restrictions to amenities were handled reasonably and professionally. Everything actually still an available amenity, just had guidelines to stay compliant with covid. You have a wonderful staff, HOUSEKEEPING INCLUDED. Thank you for a job well done !! 5 Stars!! This is a letter written by a guest staying in one of our rooms on the 2nd floor. Her stay was around a week long. Thank you all for an awesome stay! You are beautiful people! You have always been very accommodating. I couldnt ask for better hospitality. I give Days inn 5 stars straight across the board! Everything from the front desk to housekeeping. Thank you All again so much!
Positive: Pool was open, staff cleaned rooms daily, breakfast area was open and had good options. Vending machines stocked and working. Negative: The construction happening right outside, with giant floodlights pointed right at my window from the parking lot. Staff? Would regularly walk down the hall having conversation loudly. Sheriffs and cops showed up for some reason.
We went in to check in. i was then notified i couldn’t get them room because i didn’t have 100 when the booking did not say it. then he yelled at me and told me i should have read the fine print becfore i try to do something else.. then my boyfriend went aim and same thing.. when we asked for his name he refused it and told us to leave before he called the cops on us
Hotel was clean and rooms have recently been remodeled. Currently the lobby is in the middle of remodeling. They have an indoor pool; all rooms include a microwave, mini refrigerator and 4 cup coffee maker. Person at front desk, when I called to make reservation...um made me wonder a little because I slowly read me credit card number 7 times. My phone number 3 times slowly. When we arrived the front desk attendant only had 8 digits and asked me if it was correct. Rooms are beautiful.
This place is disgusting. The hallways and stairwells smell, the elevator would barely run, the run down lobby has a bunch of boxes stacked around....seemed that a family of owners (foreigners )lives here....they have plants and stuff growing around the back of the building . Could barely see through the windows. When you walk in the lobby it smelled like a shower of air freshener to cover the odor. These people make it clear that they dont like Americans.
I always try to find the positive so heres what I have for that, the bed was clean the sheets were crisp and clean the bathroom was clean. The pool looked good. Thats it. Unfortunately no phone, no trash bag, two non-working outlets No remote for the TV that worked we had to program it. No counter space in the bathroom. They are under construction the hallway was disgusting with construction nonsense. the security door did not have any security on it. The entire first floor is under construction and no one should have been in there. The second and third floor are supposedly done but I was speaking to someone on the way out and she said it was kind of a nightmare. The toilet nearly overflowed everytime you flushed it and ours ran constantly. They never should have rented us this room, ever. and they had the nerve to charge me $150 for this, without even an offer of a credit or partial refund. Unacceptable at this time. Perhaps when the renovation is done it may be worth a second try. Unknown. I will be contacting Wyndham.
Nice staff clean rooms was nice for what it is. My only concern is that we were on the 3rd floor and my window was openable very easily accessible to children.Would stay again very quiet very good food options even got gold star chili at like 11pm during covid? Thats amazjng reminded me why i love Batavia and the east gate Brown county area as a whole beautiful and always kind people
This hotel exceeded my expectations and the staff went above and beyond my request. Whenever I return to the southeast cincinnati area, I’ll definitely drive out of my way to come back to this hotel.Breakfast was ok. But they told me they are opening a hot breakfast room really soon. The pool was huge and at the perfect temperature.Thank you to the management to the staff!
Showed up a day early for an extended stay, no problem. Out at lunch day 2 when the general manager calls being very rude saying we were supposed to check out and they were moving our stuff. Finished lunch and had to go sort problems at hotel. The on duty hotel clerk informed us that the previous night clerk moved our stay up a night instead of adding a night. He also insured us that the rude manager on the phone wasnt rude, because I was standing right here. Unprofessional all around, first guy was nice though. First fault could have been a computer glitch but the manager should learn some people skills. Not to mention the key cards stopped working everytime we left theroom.
Was in town for a family reunion and ended up at this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and attentive to their guest. Their maintenance crew were on spot when I requested that my A/C wasnt working (they fixed it in 5min). Stayed for 2 days.Pool was great but the hottub is being removed. Breakfast was ehh but they are adding a new breakfast room with hot break fast
Was way overpriced for one night $200! I look at the prices today and they are not that high! I feel like we got ripped off because, there were nails sticking up right below the door on the first floor where people stayed and yes they did have signs but little kids might not pay attention or cant read them and others can forget and the next day walk outside their room and hurt themselves on rusty nails sticking up straight! The rooms where nice but then again no microwave or refrigerator and still priced very high for ONE night! Very disappointing and I hope they get all that fixed or at least not let people stay on that floor!
I was placed here back on 11/04/19 by my insurance because my apartment flooded and was there until 12/15/19, while repairs to my apartment were being done.The staff was very friendly and understanding. I have a service dog with bad separation anxiety and he would bark, quite a bit, on his bad days, which wasnt often. The cleaning staff, Cheryl in specific, was very friendly towards me and especially my dog. The staff kept watching us and was asking if my family 👪 who visited me was staying here I said no then they followed me outside everytime i.went to smoke a cigarette 🚬. They are really weird there. I was being watched by a old Arabic woman and it was very creepy… I wanted to swim 🏊 and my aunt was going to swim 🏊 they stopped me asked if I was a guest I said yes 👍 this is my aunt she is with me. They said no I need their ID. And no children under 1 year because they. Could die. Everything about this place was bad no water for breakfast and the muffins were stale. This is a place to stay if you want to be controlled. The pool was not all the way sealed as well. Terrible place all around. The beds are hard and got no sleep 💤
The old egg salad in the fridge was a nice welcoming surprise. I expected it to be very clean because they have to reach covid standards of santizing between guests but NOPE! The used tissues on the table proved that wrong! I highly recommend driving a few more minutes up the highway to a Holiday Inn.
Wish i could say no stars.. The whole first floor was being renovated and missing pieces of floor in the elevators too people could easily trip. The first floor people where staying at had rusty nails sticking up under the doorway and for one night they charged us $200! wasnt even worth $100 very dangerous and not even a nice enough hotel for that much money, feels like we got ripped off definitely not staying here ever again not recommending it. Very disappointed. DONT stay here!!!
They did the exact same thing to me that they did to a woman in a previous comment. They said that we smoked in the room and charged my credit card 150.00. I protested and argued with them but they said the same thing to me as they did to the other lady, that they found ashes in the window sill. We absolutely did not smoke in that room. They were numerous other problems like gaping holes in walls, bare wires, filth on jacuzzi controls and behind the bathroom door. I think the smoking thing is some sort of scam since the said the exact same thing to me that they said to the other lady who stayed in March of this year. Please everyone avoid this hotel if possible, they won’t give me my money back. Don’t let them scam you too.
Yall never seem to have towels even when there are minimal guests. The cleaners did not restock the toilet paper while we where there, we had to ask for it. And while I understand that there renovations going on, when there is bumping until 2am, its just insane. The good part about this was the pool is heated.
My daughter in law stayed there 3 days was supposed to be 5. There treated her like a criminal because of a review her brother in law wrote on how he was treated while visiting with her there. They followed her, often checked her room, and told her her no one is allowed to visit guests at the hotel. On the 3th day she received a phone call from them telling her her family could no longer pick her up at the hotel as they would be trespass ing due to Jerry review,that this came from the corporate office,or she would be asked to leave. I went with her to pick up her stuff as she was afraid and told them she was checking out. They told her she could leave be she was NOT ALLOWED to check out as it was after 3. She said she understood she would still be charged for the room and that was fine but she wasnt comfortable staying there and was going somewhere else. They told her she could leave but again she was not allowed to check out and would have to come back tomorrow morning to do so. They said corporate told them to tell her this. If this is how Wyndham does business I no longer want to stay at any of their hotels ..
Friendly staff, their remodeling is looking great, nice pool....but we experienced a major issue. Staff was definitely right on top of trying to physically resolve the problem, but in the long run it made for a horrible experience, ruined a pleasant vacation and cost us about $300 or more in personal property we tossed.

2022-01-01They have made a lot of improvements at this location. The King room really needs a comfortable sitting chair other than the desk chair. There is plenty of room for one. The bath tub needs a new drain and stopper. There is no way to take a bath. The staff was great. The breakfast was good with a lot of options both cold and hot.The bed was very comfortable.Pool was still unavailable in late December.

The only thing u didnt care for was the extra 100.00 hold on my credit card. But that is suppose to be returned. Other than that. Great experience

2022-05-11This is a super nice hotel. It is very clean the room was very nice and comfortable. The staff in very friendly. The free continental breakfast was incredibly good with lots of different food hot and cold and a lot of beverages. I highly recommend this hotel.

2022-05-02Positive: The kind lady that cared for the breakfast room! She was amazing and sweet! Negative: This hotel stated they have an indoor pool so I booked it (other reasons also). I check in and am told the pool is closed but will be open tomorrow or Friday morning. The pool didnt open until Friday evening/night. I checked out Saturday morning.

2022-01-17It was clean and comfortable. When I made the reservation for New Years Eve, I was not aware the pool was closed. Which was why I reserved a room for me and the grandchildren. They offered a breakfast and the receptionist was friendly.

2021-09-23The staff and manager were extremely rude. Mean. Yelling at us in the halls in front of our little kids accusing us of smoking. Followed us outside with 10 staff members yelling and insulting us. They charged my debit card an extra 375 dollars! They are thieves! This is all a scam to charge your debit card! I wish I would have read the reviews before staying! Because we arent the first people theyve done this to! Believe the bad reviews people! You will get robbed and attacked!
