Professional, on time, provided excellent communication, transparent about expected delivery windows, affordable and confidence about a safe move for my piano. There were 4 people to transfer my small spinet piano into my 1st floor home. They used appropriate moving blankets and there were no damage Maris at all. Highly recommend.
Davis moved our piano and were very professional and arrived on time, called to let us know when they would come and again when they were 10 min away; both moving techs were extremely courteous and took great care when moving the piano. Davis also gave me the lowest price of the seven local moving companies I called. Highly recommend!
I am sorry there is only a 5 star rating system. Davis Piano Moving is amazing in every way. We did incur some minor damage due to our piano being moved but Davis fixed the problem super fast and virtually undetectable. So professional and courteous. I wish every business maintains these standards of service.
Very professional and friendly! Would highly recommend.I hired these guys to dismantle my baby grand piano and move it into our moving truck. They arrived on time and came with the right equipment and dressed and acted very professional. I asked them how many pianos they move each day and they said 10-15 and you could definitely tell. They took apart my piano with care and were gentle with the pieces, then they loaded it onto a dolly and brought it out to the truck, where they strapped it down and secured it. I felt like my piano was in good hands the entire time. Quick service, and definitely worth the cost to me. They quoted me $120 and I even tipped them because I was very impressed with them. If I were still living in the Columbus area, I would absolutely hire them again to reassemble my piano.
This is one of the nicest and friendliest companies I have ever had the pleasure of working with. From my first call to schedule a piano be moved to home, to two call-notices of when they would be arriving, to the actual move to my apartment. The workers at this company are kind and professional. I will sing their praises to others and I will have them move my piano again if I move out. Thank you!!!
Davis Piano Moving did a fantastic job moving my piano for a good price. They were in an out of my house very quickly and used caution throughout the move. Excellent professionalism and you can tell that they have a lot of practice. Glad to hear that the business has been kept in the family!!
I’ve utilized Davis Piano Moving three times so far within the past year and am incredibly pleased with their service. They’re prompt and highly communicative, confirming every detail each step of the moving process. I will continue to utilize their services each time I have to move a piano to or from my studio.
Cant go wrong with this company, weve used them numerous times! Jessica in customer service answers the phone... Shes polite, detailed informative, she quotes you in a caring professional way especially when it comes to scheduling your request for the pick up and delivery of your piano. The crews on their trucks are top notch they know exactly what you want and can do it in a blink of an eye. They really make it look simple / easy even though it takes a lot of work in handling your piano properly. No wonder theyve been in the business for more than 50 plus years. Thank you Davis Piano Moving well continue to refer you to anyone and everyone when we possibly can. Keep up the good hard work with the care and consideration that you have for your customers 😊
The movers were professional and courteous. When speaking with Mr. Davis to set up my appointment he was efficient and polite. I feel the price that I paid was very fair especially considering the level of difficulty the move was. I will use and highly recommend them to any one else that could use their services in the future.
The most professional piano movers I have ever seen. they use very professional tools for moving. a professional piano dolly and a heavy duty wood ramp. its very easy for them to move the piano up and down steps. it only took the crew at most five minutes to move it out of my house and loaded on truck. same for moving into thr new places. reasonable price too. next time if I need to move my piano I will use Davis again.
I cant say enough good things about Davis Piano Moving. From calling for a quote to scheduling the move to the actual move itself the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. I especially appreciated the communication on the day of the move so I knew in what window of time to expect the piano.
Incredible service at a great rate. The actual fee was less than the estimate. They took great care and did exactly what I wanted. Dont move a piano yourself. They have the tools, knowledge and expertise to do the job right. There were no surprises. I highly recommend this organization.
Davis recently moved a piano thats been in our family for nearly 90 years from Columbus to our home in Cincinnati. They handled everything with utmost care and professionalism: on time, called with updates during the trip, even recommended cleaning products appropriate for the pianos finish. Great company.
I have used this company on a few ocasions and also have recommended it to others who have used their services as well. The young men were always pleasant and somehow managed to manuvere my piano without so much as a scratch on my walls or floors! I also appreciated the call letting me know a guestimate as to their arrival time!
I had the worst experience ever with them. First, they called me at 8:30 in the morning to tell me they are coming between 11 and 1 (which was ok) but when I asked him to let it be at 12 he just said No abruptly. The main problem though is that they gave me a quote of $130-$150 and when they come at my place they claimed I gave them the wrong numbers of steps( they claimed I said 3 or 4 and the found 8 or 10) and surprisingly their rate suddenly jumped to 260 !!!!!!! I called the owner again but he did not even listen to what I am saying and kept repeating his own words. Not sure if that was because of my name or my accent but he has been very rude with me too. I am definitely not going to do any business with them again and do not recommend them to anyone.

2022-07-22Im extremely happy with my experience! We had the piano moved two hours away from Columbus. I talked to the owner on the phone to set it up and it was easy. He was friendly and explained the process. Arrival was simple (they were only there for maybe 10 minutes), and they were on time at the delivery (also friendly and quick). My piano is special to me, and they handled it with care as if it was their own. Highly recommend!

2022-08-05Good communication, able to schedule fairly easily for the time that I was available. They were aware of the surroundings and padded everything in their path. They managed a flight of stairs, two decks, and a moderately steep grade like a well oiled machine.

2020-10-17Wonderful! I highly recommend. The movers did more than theyll ever know for me. Long story short, my father passed 3 years ago but as a child bought me a piano. We had to give it away when they moved 7 years ago down south. The lady offered to give it back to me when I got my first house, and of course we had to use Davis. We used it when we had the piano, she used it when she moved it too. We love this company and appreciate how careful, helpful, and kind they handle everything. Thank you! ❤

2021-09-06From making the appointment to moving day, everything about this company was pleasant and efficient. And Ive never seen movers get a piano out as quickly and yet very carefully. This company specializes in pianos and has for a long time, and it shows. I loved working with them!

2022-02-15Davis Piano actually moved two very old (100+ years each) family pianos for us last Thursday. You can count on them to treat your precious items with as much care as their own.

2021-06-09Davis Piano Moving was a pleasure to work with all around. From scheduling to confirmation to pickup and delivery, the expectations were very clear and everyone was very polite and friendly. Not only that, but the price to move our piano was lower than that quoted by a moving company AND they delivered up a flight of stairs, which the moving company would not do. I was 100% satisfied with every aspect of the process with this company. I would recommend them to anyone moving a piano in Ohio and will use them again if the need arises.

2021-10-14I’m a piano technician in Columbus, Ohio, and I always refer customers to Davis. My personal experiences have varied outcomes.Years ago they moved my Steinway O grand into my one bedroom condo at Hidden Lake. They had to lay out boards across the lakeside grass, and they did the job perfectly. In February 2007 they moved the same piano to a third floor condo on the other side of the lake. That was a difficult move, and they again did a perfect job.I believe the Davis son was on both jobs. This year- several months ago- I had a Knabe 1909 grand moved from out of town into my garage. The garage has an unfinished floor. After they put it together, I asked the guys to move it over a foot or two, and I got on one side to help. The head guy (the other two were relatively inexperienced but capable) shooed me away, saying that they needed Davis guys on that move. They didn’t lift the piano enough and scrapped the heck out of the three pedals.I didn’t say anything at the time- this is the first time I’ve mentioned it- but it still bugs me that I didn’t supervise the move myself. It did tip them, and they were all nice guys.I’ll still use Davis again, and I’ll still refer customers to them.
