The store itself is fine. My personal experience this visit was I had a problem with having to go to self checkout. Feel like I should be getting paid for having to scan and look up codes to check out. Cashiers prefer you to go to the self-checkout. I know its a choice but at that moment I just didnt care for it.
Left 20 mins ago never will I go there again the Manager Dan allows his crew too be rude too not just me but alot of your customers. Why Dan did you allow 2 of your cashiers too talk cuss and speak Spanish so I dont understand what theyre saying? Why did you allow that cashier too snatch and curse me like thta? You said too me outside because theyre good workers.Wow!!!
Theyve got a huge selection of product to choose from, but the prices tend to be a bit above national prices. And, this particular Daves doesnt allow the convenience of pushing the shopping carts directly to your vehicle, unless you chase someone down to unlock the gate at the front of the store. Big bummer! I do give a big thumbs up to the employees though.
Spanish products are hard to find but I can come here and find all Hispanic ingredients that I need! Only thing is that I have to drive almost 30 min. just to get here. Customerr service has always been great here place is always clean and fully stocked at all times!
They have a fantastic selection of Hispanic foods and drinks. Full service deli, meat, bakery and seafood. Beer selection has improved but is still lacking. A hidden dollar store section in the back. And a bank. Lines are usually fast. And theres curbside service for loading your purchases.
I had no problem with checking out @they had enough cashier. Cashier he was very pleasant @ he even invited me to his line. Not like Save Alot their cashiers dont be at the check out line. You have to holler we need a cashier.
Prices are a little high for the area. Nice bakery and deli. Decent size and selection and a little dollar store by the pharmacy. Pharmacy is not the best, used to go there but switched when they hired new staff(way too slow) but it might be better now. Redbox out front and US Bank inside. Be careful pulling your car around to load up(not allowed to take carts with you). Ppl have stolen groceries while staff was supposed to be watching. But some nice staff will help you carry it to your car
I really like the variety of fruits and vegetables at Daves, along with Latin American choices. Unfortunately, a huge reason I went here was for the pharmacy, which has really terrible hours for people who work, particularly anyone with a commute. I ended up switching pharmacies for this reason, and now I just dont have a lot of pull to come here to shop, since I can shop where I get my Prescriptions. Really unfortunate. I will probably still visit occasionally to get my favorite exotic fruits.
They need to have more check out lines open for customers to purchase their items and get out of the store sooner so that we can go home. Also, they need to remove those barrier poles that prevent you from pushing your grocery buggy to your car; you have to leave your groceries in the buggy and go to get your car and someone could possibly steal your purchase.
They put things on sell right at the expiration date they really push expiration dates this store and you truly have to look at the Meat you buy Ive bought meat and out spoiled so fast had throw it out i only go here when i have to just because its down the street from my house best thing they have going is sell on beverage pop tea juices always on a good sell bottled water selection sucks though
I hate shopping here. The parking lot is a mess. Its always a ghost town. Prices are kind of high. Frankly, I dont know how they stay in business. The selection of beer is pretty good. Avoid the dollar section & go to a real dollar store.
Can usually find everything i need here. It would b nice if we were able to roll shopping carts to cars though. I hate leaving my cart to go get my car when Im alone. If an attendant is out side i usually ask them to watch my cart for me.
New employee was dishoveled, manager, took his understanding and experience into play and satisified everyone waiting in the Understaffed establishment . I will go back and wanted to mention my appreciation of the situation. Top Drawer.
Love this store, always friendly staff. Not to mention I also conveniently do my banking here. Love the newly remodeled Pharmacy, and the addition of a State Liquor store!
Prices on packaged goods can run really high, but the fresh meat department is incredibly diverse for a local neighborhood market. The bakery I also not bad in my limited experience.
I shopped at Ohio City for 25 years. The employees at the deli and bakery at this location are rude and lazy. It’s bad enough that it’s overpriced, but when I have to ask repeatedly for a particular weight of meat of cheese and they give me the wrong brand or weight, it’s ridiculous.
Wonderful neighborhood store! Amazing selection of Latin and Caribbean foods!! New wine department with a nice selection. Great customer service from a friendly staff. ♥️😍
Has a large selection of Latin food. One of the largest Daves markets. Most of the staff speak Spanish. Younger employees. Bathroom needs some work...so go somewhere else. Meat is just ok here. There is a Giant Eagle up the street with a better selection.
Love getting my recaito from here thats y they get a 4 star besides that they are very expensive!! $5 for a regular box of cereal!! And no prize in the box hmph w.e please lower your prices so that its more budget friendly and the neighborhood can support this buisness.
Great different varieties of food to buy has a great deli and hot food. Good verity of frozen sea food and fresh seafood. Great Spanish selections. But the lines are usually long .
On average, the prices are higher than Walmart and Giant Eagle, but the store is very clean and well organized. There is a great selection of Hispanic food....probably the best in town!
I was disappointed with Daves Supermarket on Ridge Rd. I shop there at least twice a week, sometimes more and it seems to be more aggravating each time lately. Tonight I bought mixed nuts still in the shell, but I had to look through them thoroughly because about 1/4 of them was empty shells.
1st visit. Deli didnt have much. Pretty disappointing. 2nd visit, deli had soused in 3 varieties they didnt have on previous visit. The girl watching self cashier was helpful and kept the line moving
Hot food section is slow but good. Pharmacy area is courteous. People in bakery are nice. Cashiers are easygoing.
Theres never enough lines open and lines be ridiculously long and cashiers not knowledgable at all. Some rude and apparently dont like there jobs. Half time have to pack own bags since it seems like they only have 1 bagging person. Just over all horrible store!!

One of my favorite and best grocery store. Many varieties of meat products are cheaper and affordable than other stores. Bakery is great, and the french bread is the best.
Had the most racist experience ever at this Store. The Racist Old cop was a ignorant racist. I guess he was trying to meet his kill a minority quota since its been a while since a Cleveland cop murdered an inocent minority. He was totaly an Old Ass. Everyone in my household has a job making good money, he harassed my son in law about eating a bag of chips that he Already PAID for while he was waiting on me to finish checking out. Long story short its ignorant racists like this Old bastard that has the world in turmoil. I hope Doug the store manager has this old bastard replace with someone more suited for the job as security and not and old racist looking to murder someone because of their skin color. This happened at 8:30 pm on 6/23/18
Can find everything I need
Not a fan of this store. Its located in a semi poor area and yet charges more for items than the big name stores such as Giant Eagle. One would think that they would try and help the neighborhood they are located in instead of charging more
Need the man cook that cook the chicken cause those women cant bring the juices in cooking chicken. And that potatoes salad with red skin bacon was plain dry and not good at all.
The store looked very clean and very organized. We go there mainly for the Latin products being that we don,t live close. So continue doing what your doing.
A bit pricey but worst is the customer service... Most cashiers arent pleasant feel like I HAVE to go here for some Hispanic stuff trying to get most at steelyard Walmart and way cheaper
I used instacart. Be aware: The portions are small. For example, the cereal was a 13 ox box. Then my salsa was expired. When I opened the jar, the whole top of the salsa was moldy!

I used to frequent the store until I started to notice I wasnt getting the sale prices on my produce selections. It seems that the cashiers dont punch in the information properly charging you more due to the item not being exactly what youre buying. I was once charged $45 for cilantro! I now visit maybe once a year.
This store is ok i go here when i have to prices are high on almost everything and they only put things on sell when is close to expiration. The beverage is the best thing to get at this store because its always on sell everytime you go.
I love Daves supermarkets. My favorite store is located by w.25th on carroll ave. Everyone is very nice friendly and helpful. The store managers Dave and Dorothy are truely awesome!! They have great produce and fresh meat. This is an A+ SUPERMARKET.

The prices at Daves Market are higher than most other grocery stores in the Cleveland area. Giant Eagle is far superior but then again of course its a larger grocery chain. The best place to shop for groceries price wise is Marcs
If you want cheaper meat and a better selection of produce than Aldis and save-a-lot... Then check it out... Deli, Dairy and bread are typically more expensive though.
All Daves dont carry the same deli selection. Still a little pricy on a lot of items but the sales are worth it. Great bakery.
The store is ok for most things you need in supermarket
Unfortunately, this is the nearest place to get products and produce for Spanish cooking. Culantro, ajices dulces, etc, Most stores now carry a line of Goya products, but none can touch Daves in that regard. However, I remember when we did all of our shopping there, but prices are closer to Giant Eagle prices.
A little pricy but nothing like giant eagle. Unique ethnically based meats, produce, and sundries that vary by location and neighborhood
The prices are high. I only go to this store because its right down the street from my house when i have no choice. They put products on sell when its close to expiration and sometimes thats not even a good deal
The people at the prescription Department are very nice and very friendly for a prompt and I appreciate the fact that I can get around a little bit and no one gets offended I like shopping there
4me, not that great of savings, I believe gouging the poor or limited medium income is in practice at this store. ie: soda, almost a other stores has some sale on 24x3 can case for around $9.00 -$11. THIS STORE, is 3 for 12.99.! REALLY?. looking for pastry which they have ok selection. But looking for guave and cheese log. SOOO DELICIOUS.. but no.. I am surprised at amount of people actually shop here... convenience for being 1 of the inner city supermarkets available.
They have a wonderful selection of Goya and other Hispanic products. It is a shame you cannot take your cart to the car.

Daves is expensive but there are pros to shopping there. What set Daves apart from the others is that if youre looking for something different it just might be there. About checking and cashing. Not a bank per se but theyre is customer service to provide you with check cashing, Western Union, paying your bills, etc

The produce and meat here are reasonably priced. I only come here if I am looking for particular ingredients for Hispanic recipes. Everything else seems overpriced.

Bought some Hawaiian Swiss rolls, came home my sister and I ate 2 out the pack to find out that they were molded and expired ... why did they have it out I don’t know .. someone needs to get on their jobs!
The staff in the hot food department are so rude when taking orders over the phone, it has happened more than once...makes me wonder if management knows the importance of proper customer service in person and over the phone.

I had to change my review of this store within the past 6 months service had gotten bad from the deli counter to the cashiers youre treated like youre a burden on their time there are even times when you feel alienated like they dont want you there.

2022-06-27At Christmas Dave’s was the only store that had frozen diced hash browns. Dave’s is also the only store I can find regular shredded cheddar cheese. Store is always stocked & clean. The employees are nice & helpful

2020-10-07I went here for the first time. My sister does a lot of spanish cooking and I wanted to be able to make some of the recipes she gave me. In my town in Pa, I only saw 3 or 4 items to be able to use to cook these meals. Not even enough. Here there were several aisles full of ingredients I would need. I was able to get everything I needed in this store. Great variety of foods both spanish and other cultures!

2019-05-12All associates were friendly and greetable. The manager was extremely helpful to his associates as well. He helped them bag, and retrieve items from an enclosed area. He also assisted me with bagging and adding the bags to my cart. The store was cleanly and organized, so it was easy for me to find what I needed. The prices were reasonable for my family and I. Too bad I did not take photos. The only thing I was not acceptable of was not being able to take the shopping cart out of the store area. I am expecting and purchased a few heavy items. I understand the reasoning for that, but not that great for expectant mothers shopping alone. If I were to leave my items in the shopping cart to retrieve my vehicle they could have been gone. So I struggled to bring my items to my vehicle. I guess I could have asked an associate for assistance.

2018-09-25Daves is awesome... people that work there are so nice and friendly...you can find everything you need and in stock. They have the Best rotisserie chicken I have ever eaten... I only go there for this chicken...and they have the Best hot food. The deli is always stocked up and so nice and clean... I buy my lunch meat only at Daves. Shop there and you will see They are amazing. Love to all at Daves..
