The brisket very little smoke and over a1/4 cup of grease. Chicken wings could not eat from overcooked. Ribs ok but didnt have the membrane removed. Sausage dry over cooked. 1/2 chicken was good. Check your food before leaving. Spent $89 probably will not return.

As always very good. All home made.. and his sauce and rub are amazing!!! You can buy jars if it too. Try it out.. you wont be disappointed but dont wait to long they may be out of what u want!!
By far the best BBQ Ive had hands down! I recommend it to everyone. Dont expect to talk much, dont expect leftovers! Its just to good for that. The sauce is amazing, the meat smoked very well and fall off the bone good. Ill be back everytime I go up there!
The food is good, however Im only rating 3 stars because of the service I received. After days of calling and leaving messages, I was finally able to reach Dave. I wanted to pre-order for a surprise party for my dad because he liked the food a lot. I asked to pre-order, but he refused. I went the day of the party as he said. He told me that I shouldve pre-ordered. He acted like he didnt want to sell me the food and I was putting him out. He was rude. He even told me he wasnt sure who I had spoke to that told me this, I guess he forgot I asked his name when on the phone. I wanted shredded pork, which I did get, but I also wanted ribs, but he didnt have any as he previously stated he would. Fat Kid BBQ is amazing and Ive always had great service.
Just down right good food , I recommend the ribs and brisket !!! I like chicken or tenderloin as a change up because everything is so good !!!! Believe me it’s good and when he sells out of something try those other items you can’t go wrong.... have a party or family get together here’s the place to make everyone happy !!!
Really great BBQ! Got the half BBQ chicken and the chunks..so yummy! Love that its just right off the road and like its an impromptu set up but it definitely is not😀

2022-05-02Best Barbecue ribs I’ve ever eaten. My wife and I stopped by here on the way back home from camping and boy am I glad we stopped here. This will definitely be one of our stops every time we visit grand Lake. Do yourself a favor and stop bye you will not be sorry. The barbecue sauce is what really taste good. The Ribs were exceptional.Just stopped in again after a couple years and it’s still hands down the best barbecue I’ve had. The folks that run the spot are awesome. Please patronize this take out you won’t be sorry.

2021-09-26First time at Daves BBQ as we were going through the area. Loved the pulled pork. Had enough easily for two meals. Baby back ribs were great. Yummy sauce although i wish there would have been a little extra in the take-out. Very friendly service and nice owner. Hope to stop again.

2021-05-03Came up to the area about a month ago and didnt get to stop in. Came back up today and got some food for the Family. Brisket was Awesome! Pulled pork was Awesome! Sausage...yea...you guessed it...Awesome! Baked beans were Fire! Fried pickles were Fire! Each meal comes with a roll, beans, and bag of chips. 4 meals plus order of fried pickles for $52 bucks! Bought a loaf of bread and made sandwiches. 2 adults and 3 kids...had left overs...no brisket left though...Employees were Awesome!

2021-11-07We were just passing through, looking for lunch. BBQ sounded good so we have it a chance. The brisket was wonderful, sauce super sweet and the people are top notch! I will certainly head to St. Mary’s for BBQ in the future!

2021-07-31I don’t know which was worse, the food or the customer service. The man who took our order was probably the rudest person I have ever spoken to in my life when it comes to ordering food. All my boyfriend and I got was chicken wings and pulled pork and he acted like we ordered one of everything off the menu. When we received our food, the pulled pork was drenched in grease and my boyfriend got sick within an hour of eating it after having felt 100% okay before we went there. We will never be coming back here. Save yourself the money and go somewhere cheaper with better food and customer service.

2020-06-21We came across this place today by accident! Let me tell you, it was the best accident we ever had! Every single item my family ordered was perfect! The brisket, pulled pork and smoked sausage was the best we have ever had! The baked beans were amazing! The barbecue sauce was awesome too! This community is lucky to have such an amazing place! Great food!!
