Zero stars if I could. My experience below is not an outlier - see reviews by others on BBB or CarFax - skip them as fast as you can.Dams Auto LLC is exactly the slimy used car dealership everyone warns you about. They engage in deceiving business practices and takes advantage of buyers optimism. I bought a used 2014 Chevy Cruze that had no check engine lights on; it drove smooth for the 1/2 mile test-drive loop. Chatted with them about the car and they said all was dandy and they had no warranty. I left the next day for travel for a few weeks and when on the 2nd day of driving the car the check engine popped on. I checked the diagnostic codes and saw that the check engine light was last recently RESET a few miles prior - thus, seems like DAMS knowingly reset the engine code shortly before we test drove the car. The car has been evaluated and the most recent estimate from an automotive shop that I have been using for the last 6 years (and well trusted in the community) is over $3000. Check out their other Better Business Bureau complaints. Lucky for them they were protected by As-is laws. In our exchange via BBB they said they offered an extended warranted and I will categorically say that was a lie. Skip them - they aint the kind of people you want to work with. A warranty was never offered.
I spoke with Shelley Gray about a vehicle that was advertised online. It was 2007 Chevy Uplander minivan. It is it had a few issues they guaranteed to fix them and I purchased the vehicle. Shelley was a great guy to talk to and relate to and was professional. The vehicle was NOT safe to drive, especially since one of the 3 straps that hold the gas tank on the van was completely rusted off. Also the traction control light was on, engine light was on, air-conditioning didnt work. They guaranteed to fix it all in writing. They called the next day and said everything was fixed. I returned and there was a metal strap welded to the bottom of the van, around the gas tank and hanging 1 inch below the gas tank, not even touching it !!!! I refused the vehicle amd Shelley said no problem, he would turn off the 45 day tag and return me the $2000 deposit. Then told me that the owner Dan Musa wanted to talk to me. I then went inside and he lied over and over to my face and then refused to return my $2000 deposit. I walked away and agreed that I would see him in court as I have a written guarantee the issues would be fixed and they were not !! I then went to my bank Huntingron bank and filed fraud charges. Approximately an hour later I was asked to come back and pick up a check for $2000. I did so. From my personal experience, I will never do business with this car lot nor do I recommend then as being a reputable, trustworthy or honest used car business.
Wow! You hear about shady car salesmen all the time. You hear warnings to stay away from shady car dealerships. Never in a million years did I think it would happen to me. But thats exactly what happened to me when I went to Dams Auto. I got taken advantage of by a shady dealership. Smh
I just purchased a vehicle yesterday. I saw the positive reviews and wish my experience had been as great. Shelley pulled up the value of the vehicle I bought on Carfax, but when I got home and put in the VIN number the value I got was 3k less. I expressed that I was a nurse working night shift at a prison and needed a safe vehicle. They only saw a nurse with a purse. He assured me this was a good truck low miles and when I asked for a discount he said no we only make a $1000 on these vehicles. Well that isnt true. I asked if I could take it to my mechanic and have him look he said no . That should have been my time to walk away. I went on ahead and bought the Dodge Dakota and took it to NTB and they gave me a possible bill of 4k. They said the truck had lot rot. Bushings, bearings, rotors, drums, stabilizer bar, alignment, control arms, and the list goes on. For what Im spending I could have gone to Ford, Nissan or anyone and gotten a better car with a warranty albeit limited. They were kind enough to throw in a CARS Protection Plus Plan which from everything I read is not going to help. So I have a rental car. Shelley said if you buy it and drive off and the car breaks in half you just own two halves. Another reason I should have walked away, but I thought someone who had been done wrong would never do the same to someone else. Shelley proved me wrong and so did his partners. Caveat emptor!!!
Big Shout out to Dan&Adam for Finding me a beautiful 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn that I wanted I was looking for a specific 2015 bighorn ram with certain extra features they paid off my old car 2014 Hyundai Veloster got me into this beautiful ram 1500 retail was $34,990 i got it for $29,700 76,000miles which is a prior pre certified owned truck from Chrysler Dodge dealership and sold me a 5 year unlimited warranty at their cost the buying experience was excellent and above and beyond i love my truck highly recommended phenomenal service will buy again from Dams Auto 😎😎
I have no complaints what so ever we got a 2013 65K miles for under 10k… they was very nice I complaint about the car needing to be cleaned out ! They got the car detailed and texted me to com get the car in less than 2 hours so I THOUGHT they would’ve did a terrible job ! But instead the did an AMAZING JOB the seats& floor looked like new & car smelled so fresh ! I even asked about a spare key he said he would get one & send it in the mail ! Made this whole thing worth while ! The car was a purchase for my father but he seem happy with it ! Thank you guys
On Feb. 9th, 2022, I bought a van from Dams Auto on the premise that the repairs for the vans transmission and brake line would be taken out of the asking price for the van. Previously when I took it for a test drive and had it checked by my mechanic before buying, my mechanic said their was a leak from the transmission and brake line leak. When I returned to the dealership, I was talking to the owner Dan before I bought the van from him and I asked him what was wrong with the transmission and he specifically told me that the transmission pan had a drip which costs around $200 to repair , I said, how do you know for sure its the transmission pan? , he said because my mechanic just checked it. So I agreed for him to work the fees, taxes, etc., into paying the flat asking price. When I took the van into my mechanic on the 10th, he called me that evening and told me the transmission would have to be pulled because it was a $1500 job, not the transmission pan as I had been told. Such liars! If they will lie to my face, Im sure they will lie to you too. I could have dealt with him saying he doesnt know, but not the lying and trickery!
My truck was Totalled out a few weeks ago. Found these guys while scrolling through some websites. Came up this past weekend to look at a few trucks and up leaving with a nice Ford F-150. Overall the truck was very solid and for the price I was very happy. They were very patient with me since I did look at multiple. The paperwork was easy in and out in 10 minutes. Drove it back with no issues and overall very happy with my experience. Def recommend!
Would first like to say this was the fastest, most painless car buying experience Ive ever had. Very no nonsense and efficient, which is greatly appreciated. I bought an 05 f250, got 3 miles down the road and it over heated. I called and they literally came right down, took the truck to their mechanic and had the problem fixed. Turns out it was a sensor. They were very nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be going back again in the future. A++++ in service, quality and most of all humanity.
I dealt with Shelly and Adam and both of them are down to earth and very helpful. I purchased a 2004 Buick LeSabre from them on May 6, 2012. The transaction over the phone was extremely easy and they even accept credit cards. Their document fee was very reasonable. They helped me get the car shipped and it arrived safely from Ohio To Georgia and in immaculate condition on Mothers Day. What a Blessing.I cannot say enough good things about DAMS Auto.If youre looking for a vehicle check these guys out, their fantastic.
This is a revision to the earlier review.Purchased an 2008 Chevy Silverado that developed a lifter tick that is quoted at $4700 to replace.Mechanic found engine sludge everywhere as the result of poor care even though it was said the truck passed inspection.Alerted them to the problem two weeks after purchase.Buyer beware.
Dan took great care of me and sold me a great Honda Pilot. The car was in great condition and was just as described. The entire process was quick, painless and great from start to finish. I would highly recommend going to see Dan for a great quality used car. I would definitely buy another car from him again.
DAMS hooked us up ! First rate customer service. NO BS, good clean low mileage vehicles, great prices. Wouldnt hesitate to go back. We drove one car, came back a couple weeks later drove a couple more, and bought our 2007 Chevy Impala. Love it. Quick processing, received the title in a couple days.Overall great experience. Thanks DAMS !
Pleasant experience overall. Bought a car little over 2 weeks ago. Just got my title in mail and the car is still rock solid! My daughter is happy (which makes me happy) kudos to Dams Auto for making this super easy and affordable! Highly recommended if you need a car under 10k!
Dams Auto was a great experience for a first time car buyer like me! When you think of a car salesmen you usually think of someone who is trying to get you to buy something you dont need/want, but not Dan and Adam. Those two guys were honest and fair about the price of my F150 I purchased. I live three hours away and dont regret the drive, I will definitely purchase my next vehicle from these guys! Truly great service and UNBEATABLE prices honestly.
I drove all the way from Mansfield, OH to see a vehicle I saw listed on Facebook. I had spent the whole day dealership hopping with no luck yet. My last stop of the day was Dams Auto after finding the listing for my new 2009 Subaru Legacy. They were so quick to get it started up, gassed up and cleaned for the test drive! I fell in love with the car before and even more after the test drive. I knew I was taking it home!! They even dropped in a brand new battery at no extra charge to myself! Best purchase I’ve made in a long time! Will be sure to come back next time I’m in need of a vehicle! Recommending to anyone I know looking for a new car!Edit: A little disappointed that the Check engine light came on for the o2 sensors after only about 2 days of ownership. I’m a single momma at Christmas time. Now it’s replace these sensors or buy gifts for my daughter. Not what I needed after a sever car accident and right at the holidays. I know that no used car is perfect I’m just bummed it has come to this for me.
Ah, DAMS AUTO. Where do I begin? So, Im browsing Facebook Marketplace and I see a listing for a nice truck. I was somewhat skeptical at first because the price was lower than value of the truck but I figured it was a lower price because it was a base level truck. Nonetheless, I messaged Dan Musa and inquired about this truck. After testing the waters on a cash offer, he was pretty firm with his price and dealer fees. (He has to make a living, I get it.)THE JOURNEYI made an appointment with Daniel on 10/18/21 for 1 p.m at Dams Auto in Cleveland Ohio.(4hr drive) Everything was going as planned until I arrived in Cleveland. Daniel decided it was a good time to tell me about transmission lines leaking when I told him I was just about to arrive. Bear in mind, this truck allegedly has 33,000 miles on it. Now, I am quite familiar with these 5.3L V8 engines and 33,000 miles is pretty low miles for those lines to be leaking considering my 5.3 has 180,000 miles and they still havent been changed. Going forward, he said he could have it fixed in an hour.(seems suspicious)After waiting an hour at a fine establishment by the name of Muldoons, he said it was ready. I told him to bring it up to Muldoons but he initially was not willing to do this even though it was no more than a quarter mile away from Dams Auto. At this point, I was quite annoyed and decided that Daniel was not worth doing business with.In conclusion, I would highly advise you to take your business elsewhere unless being deceived when buying a vehicle is your thing. Dont take my word for it though, look at the BBB complaints and the screenshots of the conversation I had with Daniel.Edit: If you would like to see the screenshots of the lovely conversation I had with Daniel, you need to look at the review on Google maps. The screenshots are not visible on the web browser view.
My wife and I were shopping for a used car for my teenage son. We saw several cars on DAMS Auto website that fit our price and specifications. I called both numbers listed. Dan and Adam were both very responsive and friendly in their texts. We gave a list of cars we wanted to see. We drove 1.5 hrs and were greeted with open arms. One by one they brought out each car for us to test drive. It was like a boutique buying experience. They offered my wife and 12 year old daughter water, asked if they were too warm or cold, etc.Once we picked out the right car, the deal was done quickly and painlessly. My son is thrilled with the car. It runs great and the title arrived as promised within 3-4 days. They are very honest and will tell you if anything needs work, title issues, etc. They even ran the carfax and went over every line item with us!Thanks for a great experience Dan and Adam!Jordan Family
My son and I have been looking at cars for a couple weeks now. Came across one of their postings and went in to see the car. Ended up taking 2 vehicles home from them since they had such a wide variety of lower mileage cars! Very happy so far with the vehicles! Put about 5k miles on it . My mechanic said for the cars shape and miles that I received a great deal!5 ⭐️‘s!!
Dams auto is the best in the game baby! As you arrive, you are welcomed with open arms by Daniel and Adam. Not only is the customer service great, but its their personalities that make you feel right at home --which is hard to come by. These guys make the car buying process easy, fun and stress free. They were very helpful with the questions that I asked and they listened to all of my wants and needs, which is important to me! I highly recommend going to Dams auto, you will be very VERY satisfied :) Thanks guys, yall rock! I love my new whip!
The best car buying experience Ive ever had!!!! I drove 4 hours to buy a car and the car was soo much better than expected! Super clean, ran fantastic and was ready and waiting for me when I got there. Adam and Dan were super responsive to my messages, very clear and worked with me the entire time. Answered every question I had and made me feel super comfortable. Will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a car and will be going back to them for my next car.
This company was awesome 👏 They worked with me, Shelly was awesome he understood I needed a vehicle right away and tried his best to get me in something the same day even though I’m picky. Everyone in the office was friendly and caring I will definitely refer others and be back when it’s time for a new vehicle. I’m very satisfied and blessed to work with this company.
Came here with a friend to look at a car. The car was listed on Craigslist as By owner with no indication its being sold by a used car dealer. So be aware of the added nearly $1000 in dealer fees on top of the price advertised.Asked before hand if some pictures of the underside of the vehicle could be seen. Was declined and assured the car is very clean, very solid. It was a sizeable distance to drive and we wouldnt of came if the car wasnt as described.Upon arriving, it was obvious that all four wheel wells were bondo jobed. Then when looked at underneath there were huge, nearly foot wide gaping holes in the floor and frame. You could see carpet through the bottom of the car. When confronted about it, the salesman used what seems to be his usual dismissive response to any negative comment about a vehicle, Its a used car, what do you expect. I assure you, a car in that price range does not include that massive amount of rust.I can see how this company still maintains its high star ratings despite being so shady. Just in the passed 24 hours, 4 new 5 star ratings were posted from accounts with only one or two reviews. To which those reviews are very cookie cutter and vague.I assure you, my review is not fake.I would go into any dealings with this company knowing what to look for before hand. Always, always, always, look a used car over top to bottom. Especially the underside when it comes to cars in Cleveland or Ohio. Dont be fooled by fast talking bullies. Car salesman are not your friends.
Fantastic experience. I came in with a family friend looking for a Nissan they had for sale, Adam and Dan were very friendly and respectful. They were knowledgeable about the vehicle and explained what potential maintenance the car may have in the future. We test drove the car and it was exactly what we came in for. I would highly recommend DAMS auto to friends and co-workers.
Approx two weeks ago my car broke down and I was in a dire need for an affordable sedan. I did some research online and the information I collected led me to DAMS. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Adam and he seemed very friendly. I told him my situation and he said “don’t worry we have a great selection of automobiles for you”. While browsing their inventory I noticed the dealership was very clean and organized which helped ease the anxiety one may have when car shopping. Long story short, with the help of Adam and his partner Dan, I was able to drive off with an affordable 2008 Toyota Camry. I will be recommending them to my friends and family. Good & honest people. My wife is happy with my car and the money I was able to save. Thank you guys.
We called and wanted to come see a nice black Ford Ranger we were really just wanting to buy it for my son cuz he loved it hadnt even seen it but he knew I was one he wanted. They told us they were going to detail it then they would call us in a week because it would take that long to detail we waited 3 days finally we called back and they had told us that they had sold it already so we decided to go elsewhere and we bought him a better and newer black ranger and we decided to trade our Jeep Cherokee in and get a brand new Tahoe we think it was a blessing in disguise. We were upset about it a little bit but we got over it because where we went we got a much better deal and when they treat you right we dont mind spending money
First, this dealer makes multiple postings on craigslist under the For sale by OWNER instead of posting in the For sale by DEALER. They use multiple different parking lots and phone numbers to make you think the cars are being sold by different people which they are not.Went to look at a car, asked how much rust was on the car and where at, I was told it was very clean and no rust. It took all of 2 seconds upon getting there to look under the car and see that the majority of the Unibody frame was rotting away and carpet showing through the underside of the car as shown in the picture, not a safe car at all. Not very honest, waste of time.*Edit*My birth name, that seems like is being mocked by the dealer really has no place in these reviews. I simply stated that Craigslist DEALER posts belong in for sale by DEALER section on craigslist as I mentioned in the review, not in the section by OWNER. Picture was indeed taken on their car, anyone purchasing from here I suggest looking underneath the car before purchasing to make sure of the condition, thats all. Be safe.
Adam was super helpful with the purchase of my new Acura. He went out of his way to fix any problem the vehicle had before I purchased. Maybe the best part though was the cost. I got an awesome deal that was better than any other dealer around. I would recommend Dams to anyone looking for a good car for private sale cost. Thanks so much!
Test drive several cars. The 2 salesmen there were very rude and unprofessional. They were unhappy that we werent going to buy a car day we were there. Test drive one car had abs light one thats not good salesman seem like it was nothing.car was also very dirty inside. Other car there was crack in airbag cover. If your spending any amount ofmoney on a car you want to be sure your spending your money wisely. If your used car sales you have to buy into that customers may not buy 1st car or even 2nd car they drive. Not a place to do business with
Dams Auto really knew how to take care of my family. We came in to look and walked out with 07 Camry. Great car with low mileage. The customer service from Adam & Dan was amazing! I highly recommend seeing these guys for the best deals in town! Car was super clean and i will be back for another car. Thank you for amazing customer service.
I bought a car from them 3 weeks ago. Withing 3 hours the check engine light came on. To their credit, they responded quickly and repaired the issue, or so I thought. Two days later the light came on again. I called them and was told that they were too busy to look at it and I would have to wait. A few days after that the battery died. Had the battery checked and found out they put a used battery with a one year warranty in the car. However, the battery was nearly three years old!!! So right now I have a car that I cant get plates for. Theyre reply to all of this...the car was sold at a great price and sold as is. The great price is now not so great because the money they claim they saved me is now going to the repairs that are needed to make the car usable. BTW, the first thing they will ask you to do is give them a good google review. DONT DO IT UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT YOUVE GOT.
Wouldn’t even give one star. In April of 2021 I bought a 2015 white Chevy trax from here for 6000+ and in the four months that I’ve had it I’ve had to put 2000+ into repairs and have just been told that there’s so much wrong with this vehicle it’s not worth it to fix and some of the problems the mechanics can’t even pinpoint. My engine light won’t come on even though there’s more than six things wrong to where it should be popping up. I’ve contacted dams auto to try and ask for help with repairing it in the past since they said nothing was wrong with the vehicle and they were rude and obviously did not help. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
Dan at Dams auto is friendly. The ease of getting a car is good. The amount of time I spent there was good. However I purchased a 2013 Chevy Impala on 03/05/2020. The same night I purchased it the check engine light came on. Getting the car diagnosed they found four codes that obviously didn’t start after I purchased the vehicle and repairs was priced over $2,000.
I would recommend this dealership to anyone who can finance their own vehicle. Easy is to work with and pain free as far as paperwork. In and out in 20 minutes once I found the vehicle I was looking for. When was the last time you went to a dealership even after you found the vehicle you wanted and only spent 20 minutes tops in their facility? Never. As a matter of fact their personnel delivered my vehicle to my home while I was signing my paperwork. When I finished my signing my keys were in my hand so I only had to drive one vehicle home instead of Ubering to come back and drive the second vehicle back home. When was the last time you went to a dealership that performed that task for you? Again never. Check them out, theyre the best.
Bought a 2009 Chevy Malibu with low miles (79k). I was looking for 2 months and I almost gave up. I looked at 15 different cars, 15 different places and everything was just in my price range... I found a car here for $4500 that was in great shape and right in my price range. Thanks guys!
Car was a nightmare. Made calls about the engine overheating and replacing a battery and replaced a head gasket within 30 days of having the car. only sent $250 to help with a $1300 repair after buying the car for $7500 out of pocket. Shortly after I was blocked from contacting anyone. Got rid of the car! Fooled. Don’t recommend. This was nearly 4 months ago the car was purchased. Just ditched it in may.
I was initially excited about DAMS, because their cars had minimal corrosion, clean CARFAX reports, and decent prices. But the service here was an absolute nightmare.I came to look at a 2002 Camry, but ultimately decided it would require too much maintenance to justify purchasing. I told the person in the office that I wanted to look at their 2006 Camry when it became available. He said would it take about a week.A few weeks later, I managed to get time off work and came to take a look at that 2006 Camry. I booked an appointment in advance over the phone, and told them I planned on having it inspected. When I arrived, the same person I spoke to about the 2002 Camry apparently did not know I was coming in. He told me I was wasting [his] time and demanded to know how much money I wasted on pre-purchase inspections since I last saw him. The answer to that question would be $0, because I only took time off to see the 2006 Camry... like I told him. After listening to him complain about how I was wasting his time and would never buy a car etc etc, I managed to CONVINCE him to let me look at the car and get it inspected. During the inspection, my mechanic found that the car needed around ~$1000 in electrical repairs.I decided that was low enough for me to purchase it, so I drove it back to DAMS. This was around 1p on a Friday, which is one of the few times DAMS is actually supposed to be open. Imagine my surprise when no one was in the office. They said they would arrive in a few minutes... then a few more minutes... then a few more. They did not show up until about 2p.When they finally arrived, I purchased the car, and they sold me on a protection plan. Within 3 days of purchase, the check engine light came on and the car required ~$1,000 in repairs. 2 months later, the struts rusted out requiring another ~$1,000 in repairs. Neither of those were covered by the protection plan. My mechanic (who has seen plenty of these plans) told me he had never seen a used car protection plan that failed to cover so many basic components. So my experience in a nutshell:1. I was accosted for being cautious, yet the car needed significant repairs that could only be detected by inspection.2. I needed to CONVINCE someone to follow through with an appointment that I ALREADY booked.3. No one was in the office for almost an hour during business hours.4. The car was mediocre, and the protection plan was so useless that it surprised a seasoned mechanicAny one of these would be frustrating, but all together they are ridiculous.Dan, I assume you are the one who reads these reviews. Your employee desperately needs to work on their customer service. At the bare minimum he should remember who he talks to, and he should not accuse customers of wasting his time when they have the audacity to visit twice. I cannot overstate how disappointed I am in this companys service.UPDATE---Having read the response, Im at least glad to hear them apologize for a misleading warranty sales pitch and recognize the importance of mechanics inspections. I too recognize that I bought an okay car from a dealership with an okay track record, and got unlucky. If that was my only gripe then I would not have left a negative review. Clearly this goes beyond the car.First, Im honestly surprised to hear we are always in and out when DAMS only business hours are from 1p to 4p on Friday, a mere 4 hours a week. If you are only going to commit to being present for no more than 4 hours every week, you absolutely should NOT leave customers waiting for 25% of that time. I did not bring this up initially, but I was not the only customer sitting around on a hot August day waiting for a dealer to show up to their own dealership.More importantly, my frustration is not with whether I feel like I wasted my time. My frustration is that I came with the intention to buy a car, and I was somehow shown both hostility AND apathy. Dan, instead of pretending this review is about a car, please talk to your employee about treating people with the tiniest bit of respect.
I highly recommend Dams Auto! Excellent customer service. Beautiful, low millage vehicles. I purchased an F150 4x4 in the middle of January and Im so pleased. Check them out. Do your homework folks...these vehicles are priced BELOW Kelley Blue Book suggested prices (at least mine was). See for yourself. Will definitely be a repeat customer!
Please make sure to get vehicles here independently inspected by a trustworthy mechanic. I tested a used truck here whose frame had been spray painted over to hide rust. When my mechanic put it on a lift to inspect the undercarriage, the frame almost broke in half due to rust rot. There are a lot of seemingly good deals here, but make sure you do your due diligence.FOLLOW UP: In response to my review above, the owners of the business sent me a harassing text message. Just FYI as to the type of folks youll be dealing with.
Terrible! Do not do business w them. Super shady!!!! Would give zero stars if it were an option. Extremely Unprofessional. Had a Facebook conversation with Daniel and explained that I am coming from Buffalo NY to pick up a 2015 fusion. Conversation took place on Friday evening (after their business hours) Set the time with him for noon the following day. I did see the car marked as sold on Facebook, but I assumed that was because I told him I was definitely coming for it as soon as the opened the next business day. And AFTER he marked it sold I still texted back and confirmed the appt. (which would have been a perfect opportunity to tell me the car sold) but nope he sent me a thumbs up emoji. Wake up and hit the road with my daughter who was buying the car... Drive 3.5 hours just for him to tell me sorry, sold the car last night after I talked to to you. This guy had me come 3.5 hours out of my way, he didnt want to let me know or cancel my appt. The car was still on the lot when I got there. I had cash and offered to pay an extra thousand just so that my trip wouldnt be wasted. But he just said sorry. Horrible way to do business. We had a deal and he broke it. Dishonest!! Also completely ruined my daughters first car buying experience bc it wasnt for me it was for her!
Went and saw Adam at DAMS auto. He scheduled last minute and accommodated my every question and concern. Did a test drive and loved the car and experience. Very knowledgeable and professional. He was willing to work with me and my needs. I recommend this place to any one looking for a car. Great person to get you where you need !! Im picking up my car Monday and am excited !! Thank you Adam !!
Great experience, got in and out within only 15 minutes, and bought a great car 2013 red chevy cruze a few minor issues, but they promised to help make it right and figure it out! Looking fwd to it! I would recommend you to also check out their selection and possibly purchase a vehicle, if you are looking!*update 4 months later: Car still runs great! Fixed my problems on my own due to being pretty handy and all this extra time from the *Rona,* anyway took a road trip to Chicago and back after getting the fluids topped off, and the car is still as beautiful as ever!. -Thanks again!
Great quality cars, with better prices and the best customer service and follow through. Purchased my daughter’s first car at DAMS. I have one more daughter to go and I will be back. Meanwhile I have been referring all of my friends and family. Don’t shop the rest, buy with the best!
Note I did not buy a car. Great on communication. Deflects on responsibility for a vehicle being in proper condition for a test drive. I knew you were not going to buy it when you started looking underneath the vehicle . Aparently looking at what you are buying is not good for their business. The only reason I took it to a mechanic was because I could tell it had problems. They had wiped codes that were still active which included converter and 02 sensors, bad starter or a grounding issue which they blamed on battery, shocks that were going out, I personally secured the wheel well guard that was broken apart so I could hear if there was any other problems, leaking oil, bald tires, low oil and tire gauge issue. Explained to him that the car needed more work than I wanted to pay and he decided to berate me for actually checking out the vehicle and realizing it was not worth what he was asking. Also told me that guys like me will look for months and never be happy. He did offer a lower price but not near enough for uncertain repairs. Guess what I found a car that day and was happy because they actually made sure their car was working properly. So if you buy from them take your car to a mechanic, they will try to screw you or guilt you into buying it. If you want a mystery repair vehicle this is the place for you as they apparently do not even take their own cars for a test drive or do not care and hope you are a sucker. To the dealer, try selling something that actually works rather than makimg your customer guess if it is a cheap fix. You would have better luck selling a vehicle that has already had repairs done. Something ready for the customer to drive off of your property, without expecting to have to spend $$$ fixing whatever comes up on the drive home.
Im conflicted on this!! I traded in my 2011 hybrid to buy a 2012 Equinox that buy the time drove it home check engine light for two 02 sensors and Timing Chain. Two shops confirmed just by listening to engine that it was timing chain, and it didnt just happen. Dams says they didnt know of check engine light or chain, which is hard to believe. They wanted me to let them check it out but I had the car at chevy and left it for repair all together $1700 for sensors and chain. Dams later offers me $350 to make up some of cost which is why Im conflicted but its still hard to believe they didnt know either issue. To me just fix it before its sold and have a happy customer who will be a repeat customer!! Turns out equinox are nightmares, they have oil consumption issues because of pistons and chevy lost a lawsuit over this as often timing chains are going this one went at 92,000 miles. I was told my trade developed issues but it sold for $3000 over trade. All I can say is take a used car to mechanic before buying and dont cave on to pressure or be in a hurry.I stated that u gave $350 so I didn’t try to deny that! Which is why I said I’m conflicted and didn’t even review for months! But I just don’t understand how a car develops a bad timing chain on ride home!!! ! As far as the hybrid goes , my brother actually called on that car and y’all told him it was just sold after telling me it was junked! But hey it’s over and I’ve moved on! And I hope y’all be upfront about conditions from now on! Be Blessed!
Just purchased a vehicle for our 16 year old daughter. We did not have time to go see the car at the dealership. Dan and his business partner brought the car to us to look it. We loved it. Car was bought and sing over within 2 hours time frame. Thank you guys. Great work and great customer service!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bought a car recently paid cash in full, soon as I get home 20 minute drive, check engine light! I call They told me everything was fine mechanic looked over car zero issues. I go to my mechanic and he says they knew this car had issues it needs over $1000 in Engine work that doesnt happen suddenly after u buy it and drive it home! Its a pandemic going on with people out of work scraping for every dime to survive and they take your money for car they know is going to give u immediate trouble? Wow! I hope you sleep well with that on your conscience! Definitely means youll never get my business again and Ive taken car dealerships to court before and won even used cars, I might have to once again! Not going to be hard to prove they knew especially a check engine light 20 Minutes later???This was highway robbery! The best business is repeat business! Car has been at dealer for weeks Being repaired, now theyve had it longer than I have. Shame on you!!!!!!!!I DID CALL AND TEXT AND LEFT VOICEMAIL
My wife and I purchased an older grand am GT from here. The dealer (Adam) came in late around 7:30pm to show us the car. I work swing shifts, so this was big for me. He was knowledgeable and answered every question of mine. I would without a doubt purchase another vehicle from him.
Where do I start....bought a low miles Subaru, thought it was a good deal. Well after driving on my way home, the check engine light came on. Oh well, not my first time something like this happened on buying a used car. I sat it for about a week, then needed to take it on a trip to Pa...well the temp gauge started to go up after about 1 hour into the trip. I pulled over and found the water level was full, but it seemed to be air bound. Cooled off, started again, 20 mins later, same thing. I got it to a lot. Parked it and called DAMS Auto. No answer, got a towing company to tow to reputable shop I know. Long story short, the engine had been “cooked” before and heads were warped. Engine needed to be pulled and rebuilt...another $2300... BTW DAMS refused to help in reimbursement of any $$$. They are a ripe off and just shine up a “auction” car to look good. The five star reviews are probably their own people....I left numerous messages and never responded. DO NOT BUY HERE!!!!!
Highly recommend DAMS Auto. This type of customer service is hard to find but Adam and Dan went above and beyond to find me the best deal in my price range and a great car to fit my needs. They were able to answer all of my questions and made sure I was all set before I left the shop. Great selection of cars for great prices. Will definitely visit again!
My experience here was awesome and Daniel was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions and lead me to the perfect vehicle that fit all of my needs!! He didn’t pressure me like I’ve dealt with at different dealerships. I felt cared about and will definitely be a loyal customer.
Buyers beware of DAMS AUTO LLC... I bought 2007 Hyundai Sonata from them last month the next day I had to spend over $2000 repairing it... They told me that the car is very good but I never knew it was a rubbish car that they sold to me despite the fact that i told them my previous experience with used cars. I told him how much I spent and the way he answered me was very rude.... So if you dealing with them just be very vigilant because they are not genuine
Quick communication but poor negotiation skills. Wouldnt budge one cent on a used car. Why bother being in business selling used cars? DAMS AUTO when you post online and a customer replies, thats when the transaction starts. You were difficult on the phone which justified me not driving one hour to look at the car; otherwise I would of been out there first thing this morning to buy the car. Instead I bought a car elsewhere.
I searched the internet all night last night looking for a cute reliable car and saw several cars from DAMS . Came in told them my spending limit and ended up leaving with not one but TWO CARS for myself and my grandmother, not to mention they gave me some cool super deals!! I’ll definitely be back for my SUV!
Reasons for 1-star review. The pressure of the sale came right out of the gate, before the car was even looked over. When asked very specific questions about the cars paint job, the answers were dishonest. If those (relatively inconsequential) answers were dishonest, we had to question what else wasnt being shared honestly. When I asked for a screwdriver to test the frame, I was told word for word, Well, dont poke too hard. The pig was dressed up with lipstick and rouge. If the salesman would have been honest up front, the review would have received more stars. Also, see the review response posted by the owner. This says it all about their character. To disparage the public is to lose customers.
My son, Daniel Miller, and his girlfriend, Rebecca Smalley, purchaded a 2010 Audi A4 from here. They drove 2 hours to get it. Ran OK on the way back and started misfiring. He checked it to find out codes had been erased. New spark plugs and fuel injectors later it still will not run well enough to drive. He paid cash for it, a big chunk of cash for a POS they say they didnt sell and will not fix. I suspect any other good reviews are false. Stay Away, Total Rip Offs. He was written as a customer on their in house board. Now they are saying an x employee sold his his personal car. It was bought from their lot, papers signed in their buliding. Nothing like a rip off company yrying to blame it on someone else, WHEN IT HAPPENED IN THEIR BUILDING ON THEIR PROPERTY. You will get took, bad place
Took someone to buy an audi, they claim they have no record of it at the place we bought it. 3000 dollars into fixing it later, its still not able to be driven without a misfire and the engine shaking and losing power. Between these issues and the fact that the mirror kept falling off on the way home, wouldnt recommend them.
Adam has gone over and above to help me in a bad situation so I would have a vehicle . I was short on the total for a purchase due to circumstances beyond my control. Adam was kind enough to allow me to make payments on the amount I was short.Adam was very understanding and handeled the situation professionally!! I would recommend Dams Auto for the quality of great service!!
Dishonest dealer. Ad said truck was MINT and owner told us twice it had no rust before we drove 2 hours to come see. We arrived to see the trucks under-body was covered in severe rust. There were also multiple spots of rust around the body already flaking off paint. Offered to take off $200 for his lie and wasting our time... Avoid
After buying a 2014 Chevrolet it has a big oil leak and the catalytic converter almost faulty... almost spend 2000 bucks on central Cadillac limited on Carnegie avenue for replacing a catalytic convertor plus oil gasket... still engine light on... now again the central Cadillac are figuring out why the oil leak coming from... their used car specially have a big engine problem which central Cadillac told, now again they have to find reasons for oil leak, when I buy the car, no engine light problem, but just after 1 day I purchased it engine light on dashboard, I take to Firestone also spent 344 dollar still burning smell engine plus when I buy this car, the battery was dead I have to spent another 175 bucks on Firestone , plus I have to call my insurance company to send a towing truck to take my car to a autozone to get a battery,..plus I cannot get a license plate as this car has failed Ohio e check I damaged 5400 bucks for buying 2014 Chevy Cruz... and spend almost close to 3000... to fix this car... so buying a car ‘as is’people should be careful bcz once u buy used there is no warranty plus any warranty u purchase is useles -as this it doesn’t cover catalytic convertor or oxygen sensor, vacuum leak or oil leakage

2022-02-27Finally!! I got my son in a car of his own. No more using Dad’s gas. I can’t thank our sales rep Shelley enough. Professional and enthusiastic are just a few words to describe his excellent service. Leaving this review is the least I could do for him. My wife and I have a new friend in the car industry and plan to purchase from him again in the VERY near future. Thanks again guys!

2022-02-28DAMS is great place to buy a car. I was browsing Facebook Market Place for a Pick-Up Truck.. and I found one.. So I got a fast response when I message the dealership..they were easy to work with and have excellent prices on all of their used vehicles. I test drove the truck on a Sunday by appointment only and took it to my mechanic to check out the truck.. The truck needed new rotors and some other minor repairs.. The dealership discounted about $800 off the truck. They have a shop on site that inspects the vehicles and makes repairs. They made the necessary repair on it beforehand so I could drive it home! Thats great service. For any used car needs, this is the place to go toThanks DAMS!

2021-10-11Purchased a car from them, spent $7000, have had it a few weeks and I was told it had new brakes and tires. Had to replace the brakes that started scraping in 24 hours, back tires are right at legal to sell used, check engine light came on within 24 hrs, had to replace the purge valve solenoid and gas cap. Get a new exhaust gasket, weld a leak and replace the flex pipe to make e heck ready. Strut has to be replaced and the car is not wanting to start up. The windshield fluid nozzles were broke, had to replace them, had to replace the air conditioning actuator, had no remotes, had to buy them and pay to get them programmed. They couldn’t even detail the car, took 8 hours to get nasty ness out of the seat tracks. I have pictures and receipts. It appears they know nothing about the maintenance on the cars they sell. I recommend staying away. When I messaged them about selling an unsafe vehicle he claimed again the tires and brakes were new and never commented once I showed him the rusty scraped up parts. Stay away I have put a lot of money into this car in a few weeks and it still needs more! I don’t know how to reply but this guys response is a joke, as I recall your gave me $1000 off for buying two cars. Not for mechanical issues. $13000 and $7000 was wasted, you did not know anything that was wrong with this car and tried to convince the guys there was nothing wrong with this car. Yes used cars are used but dealerships selling cars off the lot that were not even inspected or safe is wrong. I Have over $1000 in repairs so far to the car. My review stands. Don’t buy from these guys!

2022-07-12Definitely do not buy a car from this dealership. Dams Auto should be called Shams Auto. They knowingly sell cars that arent driveable. When I mentioned the issues that I was having with the car that I purchased they acted shocked and acted like the car was in working condition when it was sold to me. Even told me to take it to a shop and find out whats wrong with it and let them know. Little did I know they (the dealership) had already had the car inspected two months earlier and the inspection determined that the car had major issues and wasnt driveable. Yet they had the car on their lot for sale. Shady, shady and more shady. Please stay away from this place
